More than forty years have now passed since the beginning of Kimiko's Shinigami career, and it is needless to say that she has seen and experienced many things ever since it has begun. During her journey, she has come to face death many more times than she could count, and in time, she also became one of its greatest allies. It was a harrowing journey, one of terrible hardships only accentuated by the machinations of the dark being inside of her soul. However, as tumultuous as this journey has been, its countless ups and downs have allowed her to come to countless understandings, all of which have directed her towards a grander path than the one she once followed. Because of this evolution, she now stands not only as a soldier in a war that will never end, but also as an advisor to some, a guide to many, and ultimately, a teacher to many more.
