Physical Description:

As is the same for many girls, Shizuka wears a large array of types of clothing. Her closet is always stocked with only the most popular of designers, with her favorite being none other than Michael Kors himself. Nothing makes her happier than when she is walking down the street and people are obviously staring at her either out of envy or adoration, and sometimes even both. The collection has only grown, yet she favors a couple of particular outfits over others. Every lady has her favorites, so Shizuka is definitely no exception to the rule. While she loves to accessorize, just a nice and simple shirt and pants combo works out of her most of the time. When she is feeling a bit more fancy, she may perhaps put on a dress to impress whoever she is meeting up with. Well, that, or try to get a guy to give her a little attention. Either way, every girl enjoys dressing up once in a while, right? So it is obvious that she would do the same. Sometimes it is just nice to be able to expand the diversity of clothing types, even if she did prefer wearing a particular outfit or two compared to the others she had stocked up in her closet. Yes, life as a girl truly is something exciting. Ever since her graduation from high school, Shizuka found that adding a bit of excitement was just what she needed in her life. However, even with that, her friends and people around her typically saw her in casual wear instead of something more formal.

Beginning with the top of her outfit, before any facial features or body structures are elaborated on, Shizuka dawns a simple, while halter-top that fits closely to her body. It sits just above her naval, leaving it exposed. On the back of it, there is a large, metallic silver star that is outlined with a thick, purple star shape so that it is more exaggerated and, therefore, more noticeable. It serves as a type of symbolism as to who she is, since she has always worn clothing that had stars on them since she was little. She always enjoyed the shape, believing it brought about good luck and granted pure wishes when good people asked for such things. It amazed her that something so standard could hold such meaning, but she thought it was cute so she liked wearing it. Besides, it gave guys something to look at that wasn’t her butt. Shizuka did think the attention was fun when she got it, but if she was on a job, she hated being distracted by people. It was not like the star always helped or even really moved their eyes to something else, but she thought it did what it had to and that was all that mattered. Besides, it was cute. It gave just enough decoration to make the shirt special, and that was what she wanted. Plus, it matched the keychain that she toted around on the side of her shorts.

Speaking of, that is the next bit of detail for Shizuka’s casual wear. Her shorts are a worn-looking type of black color and rest far enough below her butt to not show anything super important, but short enough for her to be able to move freely in them without having a second thought or being uncomfortable. Truth be told, the reason why girls wear short shorts is not always because they are dressing like a harlot. Often times, it is because it is simply more comfortable for the individual and makes it easier to move. Shizuka wears them for that reason and that reason alone. Besides, it extenuates all the right assets. Looped around the pair of shorts is a belt of a matching color with a large buckle in the front, completely covering up the zipper and button pieces of the shorts. It has no special markings on it and is made of some strange metal that all belt buckles seem to be made of. It fits loosely, since the shorts fit well on her. It is used as more of a decoration than as an actual belt. Mentioned before, she has a small keychain that is also in the shape of a star attached to one of the loopholes that her belt goes through on the side of her shorts. It is not there for any other purpose than just an accessory, but Shizuka likes having it there to tie everything together. Since her casual wear is so simple, she thinks it is fun to add little additions here and there to make it look a little bit more cool or involved than it really is.

Then, of course, are her shoes. As per usual, Shizuka will always wear the pair of shoes that her Aunt gave to her when she was young, seeing as it is the base of her Fullbring powers. Since she was originally born in Italy, her Aunt had purchased a beautiful pair of Roberto Cavalli heels that displayed her eternally-painted-red toe nails. Seeing as it was only fitting because of her birthing circumstances, she found the most detailed pair she could. Of course, Shizuka fell right in love with them. They are bright gold with tons of chains of varying sizes and styles hanging down from the buckle that fits thinly around her ankle. These chains rest gently on top of her feet, but are no more than small decorations. There are three straps attached to the shoes, as well, with two being around the toes and one being around the top of the foot by the ankle for support. The heel itself is only about four inches tall, but that just means they are easier to walk in. If anyone has ever tried walking in heels, they can imagine how difficult it must be for someone to be wearing them nearly all the time. Whenever Shizuka does not wear these shoes, she always carries them with her in a small bag of some sort. However, those instances are rare. She always tries to find outfits that would potentially match the shoes if she ever needed them to since they are her go-to pair and the only ones with the ability to transform into her Fullbring.

Additionally, when Shizuka goes out and tries to impress people, she changes from her average casual clothing into something a bit fancier, depending on whichever adventure the event takes her on. This type of fancy wear includes a bright red dress that is also styled as a halter, tying beautifully behind her neck in a small bow. The neckline dips down to just above her breasts, which is enough to show off as much cleavage as she needs to. Because of the style of dress, that happens to be quite a bit. The rest of the dress falls tightly against her body, displaying her petite, yet elegant, frame. The skirt rests around her mid-thigh, if not a little higher. She still wants to be classy, yet this is definitely the favorite among her evening wear. Shizuka does have a few red dresses, since they seem to go with her gold shoes so well, and each one has a similar style with varying fit against her body. Some are more lose-fitting while other show off more of her figure. At her age, she is trying to attract whichever eyes she needs to in order to achieve her goals, which typically involve seducing her targets for information before she terminates them. That, and they can add to an already exciting date when she ever has one.

When referring to her figure, some may find her small or petite. Shizuka is, in fact, quite thin. But it is a good kind of thin that she was able to gain through careful (well, sort of) dieting, a faster than average metabolism, and excellent hygienic care. She does value her body, since it is the major deciding factor on what makes her feel confident. Confidence is key, as they say. Besides, she firmly believes in looking good so she feels good. So starting with her hair, Shizuka always felt more like a blonde, as opposed to her natural brunette color. She does sometimes switch back and forth between the two hair colors, but she is almost always seen as a blonde. She believes it makes her seem brighter and more cheerful. The length alone turns heads on occasion, though. Her hair is so long that it reaches to just below her waist. She can easily reach her hand around her back and grab the ends while still having some left over to hang beneath her fist. Her face is soft but beautiful; having a certain flawless glow to it when she smiles that seems to resemble a goddess. Or, at least, that is how she sees it. On top of that, she has a lovely olive skin tone as she comes from Italian decent, despite her Japanese name. Mixed blood does cause the most precious of babies.

Shizuka’s body, as mentioned, is quite fit. She has a toned stomach that is often decorated by a small belly ring, though she chooses when she wants to wear it. More often than not, though, it can be seen on her. Her arms are thin but femininely muscular, matched by her legs that stand similarly. She cares about her appearance and makes sure people can see that by keeping up with her own workout routine. This also adds to why she is thin, but she looks anything but unhealthy. In fact, one part of herself that she is quite proud of is her own breast size. She used to lament about her lack of a chest when she was younger, but after growing up a bit over the years, she now proudly displays them at a size of 32-C. As silly as it may be for her to be excited over something like that, it really is a part of her that she likes, especially since they are very youthful and perky. But, that is enough of that. Shizuka also has, in addition to the belly ring, five other piercings. Four of them are actually two pairs, as both of her ears have two normal ear piercings beside each other. The fifth is a cartilage piercing on her left ear towards the top in the center of the natural curve that the ear makes. As much as she loves that piercing, it is covered by her hair most of the time because she prefers to wear it down unless she is trying to focus on something and wants all of the hair out of her way.

On top of everything else that makes Shizuka the wonderful girl she is, she has one special feature of her own that truly makes her unique. It’s called heterochromia. That long word is the defined by a rare mutation in the irises that causes discoloration to occur so that one iris is colored differently from the other. In her case, her left eye is blue and her right eye is green. In her left eye, however, she is red-green colorblind. Her family believes it could have been that the rods and cones that identify those two colors were not fully finished developing since she was born six weeks premature, but it does make certain things a little bit more difficult for her. For example, Christmas is a bit weird. Alone, each color turns into this odd maroon. When together, they seem black and white and completely impossible to distinguish. This often confuses Shizuka, so she tries desperately to ignore it, especially since it has been the butt of many jokes since she was growing up. Still, it is a part of her and all her own. Not many people can say they have heterochromia and colorblindness. It is special to her, despite being so confusing all the time. Besides, Shizuka has a few redeeming qualities to make up for it.

Dislikes:
✖ - Shinigami - Ever since she was young, Shizuka has always hated Shinigami because of what her aunt used to say about them. She believes no good can come from them and would rather not waste her time.

✖ - Feet - She believes no one ever washes their feet but her. They can be utterly repulsive and she wants absolutely nothing to do with them. It's just so completely disgusting.

✖ - Shoes - This is more of a love/hate relationship. Shizuka loves looking at shoes and owning them but hates wearing them at all. They can be so constricting.

✖ - Drama - Honestly, it should have stopped after high school but it never quite leaves you alone, does it?

✖ - Hypocrites - Shizuka can be bit of one at times, but she loathes nothing more than someone who says one thing but does another. They just seem so dishonest.

✖ - Brussel Sprouts - Nothing about this vegetable is okay.

✖ - Zombies - This dates back to her early childhood and a mean prank that was played on her, but Shizuka really can't stand them and cringes every time she sees anything about them.

✖ - Immaturity - She can sometimes be immature, but there is no excuse for someone to act like a nitwit and get away with it for no reason.

✖ - Whores - Now, she adopted the whole "to each their own" philosophy and doesn't really mind what people do, but she can't stand the thought of how these people lives their lives.

✖ - Alcohol - Similar to the whore thing, Shizuka doesn't care if people drink. She just doesn't really like it much at all.

✖ - Paying for her own food - Seriously, she's a girl. She shouldn't have to.

✖ - Nagging - She'll get to it when she wants to. Shizuka hates being reminded to do something over and over and over.

✖ - Laziness - But if no one nags her, she'll probably never do it.

✖ - Procrastination - Why do today what you can put off until maybe never?

✖ - Babies - These miniature humans disgust Shizuka. She can't stand them and hates being around them, especially when they start to cry. It is the most annoying sound in the world.

✖ - Vocal Fighting - She really just doesn't enjoy raising her voice at people, and Shizuka can be pretty blunt when it comes to pointing out flaws about the other person, which just results in more fighting.

✖ - Worms - Ugh...

✖ - Yawns - These things are highly contagious and even hurt the jaw after a while if you're super tired! Why would anyone like these? Besides, people use it as the best opportunity to breathe on you. Yuck!

✖ - Cursing - Being a lady, Shizuka does everything she can to avoid using foul language. She thinks it is rude and unacceptable.

✖ - Reading - This is just plain boring.

✖ - Large crowds - Shizuka has severe social anxiety that she has to battle every day to be as outgoing as she is. Large crowds of people, especially people she doesn't know, really freak her out.

✖ - Bugs - Shizuka can usually deal with them but if it's bigger than her thumb nail, she's an absolute wreck and will scream and run away, and then have someone else get rid of it. Butterflies and moths are okay, along with few other exceptions. But she hates bugs.

✖ - Sweets - Believe it or not, Shizuka doesn't actually like sweets. She is incredibly picky with what she eats. She has a sweet spot for brownies, a couple kinds of cake, and muffins. Otherwise, she just doesn't see the appeal and would much rather have fruit.


Likes:
❤ - Sweet Tarts - Guilty as charged, these are Shizuka's favorite candy. She can often be bribed with them and has absolutely no shame about it.

❤ - Milk - There is something about this that makes it so tasty, so she drinks it as often as she can. Besides, it's good for the bones.

❤ - Kiwi - These tart little delicacies aren't in her possession very often, but when they are, they don't last very long.

❤ - Earrings - Shizuka is always seen wearing her earrings at all times. She doesn't tend to like many other types of jewelry, but she will always decorate her ears.

❤ - Dancing - When alone, she will dance to as many songs as she wants and even uses it to exercise. Other than that, she typically won't dance, and definitely won't do it in public.

❤ - Gymnastics - This is a bit self-explanatory since Shizuka grew up with it since she was really little.

❤ - Singing - Yet another thing she would only do alone, Shizuka loves to sing her favorite songs and even makes herself sound a little funny when doing it. Life is too short not to.

❤ - Acting - She is a wonderful actress and adores the profession, though she knows it probably is not the best career path.

❤ - Fun Dip - Like sweet tarts, fun dip is a bit of a weakness for her. It's fun to eat and the stick is so tasty!

❤ - Flowers - What girl doesn't like flowers? Especially those multicolor roses!

❤ - Apple Products - They are beautiful, beautiful machines. She loves using her Macbook Air for just about everything.

❤ - Dragons - She has a fascination with these creatures and loves how people have interpreted them over the years.

❤ - Movies - These things are the best! Movies are a great way to pass time, especially if you can't come up with a good date plan.

❤ - Heat - She loves the heat. Snow and ice is pretty neat, but the warmth is so wonderful and nice.

❤ - Fire - This is what causes the heat that she loves so much and is incredibly intriguing. She always plays with it when she can.

❤ - Music - Relaxing and fun, music always finds a way to pump people up or calm them down. It's an incredibly emotional process.

❤ - Jokes - Anything that makes Shizuka laugh is fine by her! She loves comedians and wants to be a bit of one herself.

❤ - Drawing - To pass time, she will draw cartoons or images from popular television shows that she watches from time to time. It isn't exactly a hobby, but she enjoys it anyway.

❤ - Cars - These things are basically her entire life and what she wants to work with in the future.

❤ - Cats - Cats!

❤ - Dogs - Man's best friend, right? She loves dogs and wants to own all of them. Cats are the same way.

❤ - My Little Pony - This is a bit of a guilty pleasure for Shizuka, but she enjoys the show because whaaaat? The animation is good!

❤ - Anime - The stuff that Japan produces can be some of the most epic things she has ever watched in her life.

❤ - Men - Shizuka does love her men. She can be seen checking them out from time to time whenever a cute one walks by.

❤ - Beautiful Women - Though a heterosexual female, Shizuka does know when to appreciate an attractive woman. She does have a few lady crushes, after all.

❤ - Symmetry - Humans are naturally programmed to like symmetry and find it visually appealing, but she knows just how important it really is.

❤ - Animals - Who doesn't love these adorable things? All kinds of animals interest Shizuka, except for bugs. She doesn't like bugs. But she does have a few favorites, with reptiles being one of them.


Flaws:
❖ - Hypocrite - Though she dislikes them, Shizuka has been known to be a bit of a hypocrite. She hates that about herself and desperately wants to fix it.

❖ - Fixing Things - Speaking of fixing, she has a tendency to fix objects that are broken because she just feels compelled to. She does not like broken things and wants it to work again, but it can be incredibly distracting.

❖ - OCD - Shizuka has slight OCD when it comes to certain things and is a bit of a perfectionist when she wants things her way.

❖ - Cocky - She can be cocky, though she tries to tone it down whenever possible.

❖ - Easily Distracted - It is not like ADD, but she can get very distracted by simple things.

❖ - Pyromaniac - Shizuka love, love, loves playing with fire and always goes straight toward it whenever she sees it.

❖ - Not Listening - She has a terrible problem with not listening to people, but she hates it when they don't listen to her. It gets tough.

❖ - Oblivious - While very smart, she doesn't really know what is going on in her own life and tends to ignore most of it.

❖ - Judgmental - She is quick to judge, but she tries to not let that have the real final say in if she likes something or not.

❖ - Pervert - Yes, Shizuka can be a bit of a pervert at times. She doesn't like talking about it.

❖ - Bluntness - Shizuka can be horribly blunt without any regard for people's feelings. She tends to just say what is on her mind, and it can either be funny or hurtful. If someone is offended, however, she will always apologize unless she hates them.



Habits:
→ I often like to run my fingers through my hair or play the the hair on the back of my head when I’m nervous. I don’t always mean to but sometimes it happens anyway.

→ Sleeping naked - I either forget to put clothes on or I just choose not to. There’s not much else to explain there.

→ I always make sure my lips have some form of chap stick on them because if they don’t, they feel all weird. That bothers me, so I keep them covered.

→ Pinching my nose with my thumb and index finger - If someone does something stupid, I’ll often do that to show how annoyed I am.

→ Vibrating my eyes - Is that really a habit? I only do that to freak people out but it happens a lot. Or maybe when I stare at something for too long. I’m not really sure.

→ Showering for exactly thirty minutes - It just happens, actually. I think I have an internal clock that tells me when I need to stop and how much longer I have.

→ Cracking my toes - It feels nice when the air that is stuck between the joints in my toes is gone. It’s like cracking finger knuckles, only it happens more often.

→ Having a total of eight things all the time if possible.


Fears:
→ Zombies. Enough said.

→ Drowning - I love swimming but I’d hate to be that one person who gets too tired and just can’t come up for that relieving breath of air.

→ Hurting people - I hate that thought. I don’t ever want to hurt anyone who is close to me. It pains my heart and I can’t bear to deal with what could happen if I did.

→ My pets dying - Isn’t that a scary thought? I know it’ll happen once day, but all of my pets mean everything to me. I can’t let that happen any time soon.

→ Falling off of a building onto a concrete side walk always scares me. I can’t imagine how much it would hurt just milliseconds before I died.


Goals:
After working in this organization for so long, Shizuka has come to realize her full potential. She will not stop training and trying to better herself, but she has begun to seek after even higher status within Xcution. While being among the Seven Guns is a blessing in itself that she is very proud of, the Fullbringer is attempting to go even further than that. She hopes to one day become Xcution's CEO. She wants to restore the organization to its former days of glory with a bit of modern flare thrown in. She believes she can make it even better than it ever had been and make those who had never heard its name before recognize it as a powerful group. She believes she can be so much more than she ever had been and wants to prove that to not only herself, but everyone around her. She won't stop until she gets there.

Overall Personality:
As someone with such a dynamic personality, Shizuka finds herself to be an upbeat type of girl who rarely ever gets upset by much. She enjoys the company of those who are familiar to her, though she is known to dislike large crowds because of a slight social anxiety that she tries desperately to hide. It has definitely improved over the years, and she is able to at least start conversations with strangers as long as someone she knows happens to know them, as well. She is unsure of why she has this issue, but she assumed it happened when she was young and it grew into something a bit more severe. Luckily, through exposure to more extroverted people and becoming friends with them, she was able to adopt a semi-outgoing kind of behavior around strangers that allows her to feel more comfortable with them. It took some effort, but she found herself able to develop a type of fake confidence when it came to situations she was uncomfortable with. It amazes her to this day that she came so far from a shy girl who never let go of her mother’s leg and always hid herself from people to a fairly independent woman who can take care of herself when she needs to. Since Shizuka attends college, she needed to be able to push herself to be more extroverted because she deeply adores her friendships and believes each one was a blessing to her. The only reason she even made those friends, however, was because she overcame a powerful fear. She is extremely proud of that.

During her young years as a recluse, Shizuka developed an appreciation for things on the more nerdy side of the social spectrum. Growing up, she always enjoyed video games and anime and things of that nature. It was more entertaining to be a part of a world that was not exactly her own, and she deeply wished for those things to become true. She always loved the idea of having Pokémon or being able to use magic or whatever else her imagination could make up. She still has that overactive imagination, but with her life as a Fullbringer, parts of those desires were made real. It was exciting to her when she realized she could actually use her powers in such entertaining and interesting ways, but she does get a thrill from the more unnatural events. Now, she still keeps those same interests and expanded it on to her academics. She found some fun in math and decided to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering at her university. She still freaks out over comic books and loves watching some serious action movies, of course. She especially likes the “X-Men” movies and thinks it would be super cool if mutants like that existed. To her knowledge, it didn’t get that intense in her world. It may just have to stay in the comic book realm and the confines of her overactive mind.

Both fortunately and unfortunately, Shizuka also tends to get herself into a little bit of trouble with her flirtatious nature. Ever since she was little, she has been a bit of a flirt with just about everybody. It is never meant to be harmful, though she does understand how it could potentially make some people nervous about her. If she were in a relationship, she knew she would have to tone that down. Although it must be said, she will never date anyone shorter than her or her height. She doesn’t care about the height otherwise, but she does prefer the taller men. The only problem with it is that she hardly ever notices when she actually is flirting with someone because it happens so often. She became used to it, and so she has to make a genuine effort to think about what she says before she says it. On the other hand, she can sometimes use it to her advantage. Whenever Shizuka wants specific information from people, whether it be gossip or valuable knowledge that she could potentially use against them later, she seduces them into telling her every single detail they know. Now, she may sometimes use this ability to get a couple of “pretty girl discounts” here and there, but let’s be honest. If someone says no to a pretty girl discount, they’re being a jerk. So she just knows what to ask for and people will typically respond in the desired way. Over the years, Shizuka learned to perfect this manner of manipulation and use it to any advantage she had. She still flirts innocently on the side, though. She just rarely ever acts on it, or at least, she doesn’t tend to get too far into certain relations. Shizuka does not like the idea of potentially being labeled as anything negative since she still wants to be regarded as a proper lady.

Despite her tendency to want to show her best side to people since that is what every first impression should be, Shizuka loves to act silly and just be as much of herself as possible. Deep down, she just enjoys being a goof ball and acting like an idiot sometimes. Occasionally, this can be shown when she tries to copy someone else’s voice and just makes them sound like some odd mix between a dumb person and an old man. Actually, that tends to be her default voice for everybody whenever she tries to quote something they said in a mocking way. Everything about her is just a wonderful ball of funny that wants to laugh and have a good time without caring about what other people think of her. Sure, she likes them thinking she’s elegant and all that, but she seriously loves being able to let lose and get the giggles sometimes. She has the maturity of a six-year-old when it comes to humor, but she has all the best intentions in mind. Aside from her slightly off-color or racist jokes, and she makes quite a few of those, she can typically tell some pretty funny one-liners. Well, funny for someone who was, you know, six. Nevertheless, Shizuka enjoys the company of anyone who knows how to have a good time and keep her as entertained as possible. She does not like being bored, but that is why she frequently acts like an idiot to remain entertained when possible, whether it is by dancing badly or having conversations with absolutely no one when she is alone. Honestly, anything will do. She just thinks it is the best way to pass the time as long as you can laugh.

Even though she has a bit of a weird side to her, Shizuka knows when to be incredibly serious. She is very dedicated to her work and never does anything half-assed because she wants it to reflect well. She can be a bit of a try hard, but she needs to be when it comes to just about everything in her life. School is extremely important to her, especially now that she’s working towards a difficult degree. She loves her fun, but Shizuka knows when to calm down, sit down, and study. She has always been this way, though. If she sets her eyes on something she wants, she works and works for it until she gets it. Actually, this has a lot to do with her flirting. She realized that when she really tried to get someone’s attention, she managed to have them notice her more and she could use that. Due to her heavy motivation to finish big projects, Shizuka also makes a pretty good employee in just about any job. She hates most of them but she always has been able to lend a good helping hand. She has an incredible ability to focus on one single thing for as long as she needs to as long as she takes a few breaks in between. Meaning naps. Shizuka does enjoy her naps.

Just like any other girl, there are a few emotional sides to Shizuka, as well. She had a strange time growing up, though, because for a while, she never seemed to show much emotion at all. She was nonchalant about everything and did not care for much. There was a point in time where her parents actually started questioning if she was okay since she barely even cried half the time she probably should have, and that lasted for years. All of a sudden, she cries at everything. If a puppy is learning how to walk, she cries. If a fly farts, she cries. It’s ridiculous. They are mostly just soft tears and not her actually bawling her eyes out, but still. She’ll get insanely emotional over the craziest things. Shizuka does not exactly remember what brought on the ability to suddenly ‘feel’ again or what made her stop in the first place, but she was both thankful and irritated. For a while, she seemed like a total boss and could handle herself better than anyone since she thought she had a great understanding of her emotions. Once she actually started feeling things again, she realized she was just a normal girl. It was so odd being able to relate with other people as they told their tales of sorrow or joy, but she believed it may have just been a phase. Now she loves being happy and accepts being sad. Even anger passes by her and she learns how to embrace it each time. Shizuka did manage to get a good hold of her negative temper, though. She does not lash out at people when angry unless she is severely egged on, and she never truly holds grudges against anyone. Except Shinigami, but they aren’t people.

Going along with her more girly nature, gossip tends to be a huge part of Shizuka, especially when around close friends. Unfortunately, most of her friends are incredibly far away or always at school, so she always needs to find the time to get away and talk to some people or read some tabloids or anything that could possibly give her any juicy information. Shizuka tends to be fairly easy to talk to if people can get past her eyes, seeing as that is what distracts them once they get over her looks. As soon as the relationship changes from stranger to friend, she can practically get their life story out of them with a few odd secrets here and there. She always liked how people thought she was fun and kind, and then even more so when she realized they opened up to her so much. On the other hand, it is a curse as well as a blessing when everyone goes to her and constantly complains about their problems, asking her for advice, and then completely rejecting it once she gives it to them. Shizuka then turns around to her best friend, since they are practically connected at the brain, and proceeds to tell her absolutely everything that is going on with anyone. If someone said she couldn’t tell a soul, they obviously did not mean her best friend, of course. Anybody knows that. Gossiping does take up a lot of time as one of Shizuka’s main hobbies, though. It’s just too fun.

At first glance, she probably does not come off as the intelligent type. In reality, Shizuka is actually extremely smart and enjoys intellectual challenges, which is probably why she wants to be an engineer. From a young age, she actually was an underachiever and hated doing schoolwork. She got good grades, but she just never saw the point in trying. She saw her own challenges, since she is a normal person and not on genius level, but she realized that she had a goal in life and wanted to be successful in the future. Being successful takes hard work and dedication, but she just needed to be motivated. After watching “The Dark Knight”, she fell in love with Bruce Wayne’s sports cars and wanted to pursue a career as an automotive designer. Once that motivation set in, there was nothing she couldn’t do and worked herself silly to get where she needed to be. All of that effort gave her the knowledge she needed to confidently consider herself one of the smarter individuals, as opposed to average knowledge or below average. Mentioned before, she is no genius. However, she is well on her way to being considered one.

Confidence is also a key part of Shizuka’s personality. It took a very long time for her to actually be confident in herself, but she always envied those who could look in a mirror and genuinely be okay with what they saw. She always told herself that if she could pretend to be confident, then it would happen one day. But her crippling social anxiety from when she was a kid held her back even in her teenage years. She was so unsure of herself and could not stand being around other people because she only saw what was inadequate, making it even harder to become friends with anybody. Now, she has a loving support group and wonderful people in her life that remind her about how it is okay to not be perfect. She does not need to be some celebrity or anything for people to care about her, and that is just fine. Of course, Shizuka always likes to pretend she’s some important celebrity anyway. She is confident enough now to say that she loves who she is. Of course, there are still parts of her that she wishes she could fix, but for the most part, she is definitely okay with the young woman she has become. Plus, the compliments she gets on a practically daily basis help with all of that.

Noted many times by others around her, Shizuka is a thin female. This is not because of her desire to stay healthy and fit, though that may help the cause a little. It is really because of her fast metabolism that she has had for her entire life. Her weight has remained the same, even at her age, since she was thirteen years old in the seventh grade. She has consciously tried gaining weight to no avail, but it stopped bothering her so much. The main reason it even bothered her in the first place was because people kept making comments to her, saying she was too thin or frail. In reality she was just fine, but perhaps a bit underweight, if anything. She did not care, though. If she wanted to eat whatever she wanted, that was okay with her. If anyone made a rude comment towards her, saying she needed to stop because her metabolism would not be like that forever, she laughed and said that it didn’t matter because it was just fine right now. Besides, she liked her body. She has a small frame, so her light weight seems just right for her size and makes sense. She is by no means unhealthy, and makes sure she always gets enough food in her system. That alone is its own problem, though. Shizuka is always hungry and can’t seem to stop eating. She constantly carries a snack on her so that she doesn’t faint from hunger because it can turn into an extremely painful experience where it feels like her stomach is eating itself. Still, she finds a way to deal with it.

One of her more favorable qualities is that she is extremely supportive and caring for her friends because she believes friendships are the most important types of relationships that anyone can have. Because of this, she has an unconditional love for her closest friends and is willing to help them as much as possible. Even when they annoy her with their complaints, she never speaks ill of them because she knows they appreciate her being there for them. Shizuka always wants her friends to feel that they can trust and believe in her to be there for them because that is all she truly wants. She would never turn them away, no matter how many times she thinks about doing it. The reason is that she is just a very forgiving person, probably to a fault. She thinks it is easier to forget than it is to forgive, though. So as long as she does forget, then she can probably forgive it, as well. Despite this, her memory can be selective and she may remember a few bad things here and there, but she always tries to be optimistic and take the enjoyment out of life instead of the negativity. She deeply cares for people and wants to do what is right by them, so she does her very best to make them smile and laugh while they are around her. That ties back in to her silliness, because she found that it is easier just to make them have some fun to forget whatever it is that was bothering them.

Now, as joyful as she can be and as much as she loves positive things and tries to be optimistic, Shizuka still has a deep hatred for just about everyone else. The general public tends to be pretty stupid and irritates her to no end. She cannot stand fools and she has no patience when it comes to incompetent people. In fact, unless she gets to know someone, she either feels indifferent towards them or dislikes them completely. Otherwise, she ignores everyone else. Shizuka can be very sarcastic and snarky towards those she does not like and tends to be more blunt than usual. If she does not like someone, they will definitely know relatively soon. It is possible for her attitude to change, but she has a very dry sense of humor around them instead of her usual goofy self, directing all of her jokes towards that person or people. She may even sometimes growl under her breath, especially since some actually compare her personality to that of a dog with her fun and energetic, yet very protective, self. Hardly anyone ever notices it, but if they do, then they know that Shizuka feels very uncomfortable. Most of the time, she will keep quiet. She just can’t help herself if she is engaged in the conversation, though. She will sometimes spit venom, but she really tries not to bite. Overall, though, Shizuka can be pretty interesting.

Fighting Style:

Shizuka typically hates getting in fights, especially since that was practically all she did as a child whenever she was around her awful sister. She sees them as barbaric and occasionally a waste of time, but even more so when she believes the opponent is beneath her. She knows that she needs to take it seriously, yet almost always refuses to make it anything less than a game. If she is going to be forced to do something so absolutely horrid such as potentially breaking a nail or ruining her well-kept hair, then she was going to make sure it was fun. Besides, her entire power theme is a game. Instead of sitting back and staying on the defensive, she would rather end it quickly.

Shizuka has been practicing gymnastics since forever. She adored it when she was younger and kept up with it as she grew. She interpreted her own technique into this skill in order to confuse anyone she fought, trying to keep anything she did rather hard to understand. In order to keep this up, she needs to be in close proximity to her opponent and make sure her attacks hit critical points. Each movement is fluid and acrobatic so that she can dodge easily and focus on her next encounter. Unfortunately, this only works when she is trying hand-to-hand combat. Her natural way of fighting with her own powers almost always requires distance, so she will rarely try to fight with her hands.

Though she prefers to use her legs, the gymnastics training allows her to complete any movement she so chooses as long as she is still within range of the enemy. She can maneuver herself to latch on to the shoulders of her opponent and cause them to lose balance in order to strike where she desires to. She favors this among other things she can do because it enables more of an advantage of attack range for her. Being out of the way of the opponent’s range is critical, since it also means she can use the move as a defense instead of just an offense. Similarly, this means she can grab a tight hold of her target and knock them off balance as she swiftly curves back down to the ground so that she has enough time to attack otherwise.

Shizuka is reasonably fast, but she needs to be in order to get in and out of close range since it is more of a foreign area to her. She hates getting within a small proximity to anyone she is fighting, because more often than not, they have a wider range of abilities than she does when it comes to fighting. While she can still attempt to strengthen her own weakness, she can be extremely lazy and only fight within her comfort zone. She can still be agile, though, so she finds her own ways of being rather difficult to hit. She does not like showing that she has any weakness, so she will try to confuse her target by getting just close enough to say a snarky comment and get out as fast as she can.

A skill she had to develop under training with her aunt for quite some time, Shizuka is able to sense her surroundings. Gymnasts naturally have this ability so that they can maneuver around objects and still remain graceful. She just had to work on it a little more because she is working with real – and potentially deadly – circumstances. On top of that, her flexibility and precision lends a huge helping hand to how she balances herself. She tends to land on her feet when delivering bigger hits to an enemy just so that she can attack with one more blow before finishing everything off. She can contort her body in outstanding positions to avoid collisions with weapons or even other close-combat attacks aimed towards her.

Since Shizuka is a girl, she is not exactly the strongest person on the planet. She knows this. She naturally and scientifically does not have the ability to gain that kind of strength. Though this annoys her, she willingly trains herself to make up for the lack in power regarding that subject. She is excellent with defense, being able to move quickly and “perform,” in a way, to gain distance between her and the opponent. She simply does a few ground tricks that she learned from gymnastics and manages to get out of the way of attacks fast enough to avoid injury, just as she was taught from the beginning. The goal of this is to get to the perfect spot to where she could use her weapon and cause serious harm.

Compared to other fighters, Shizuka is definitely her own type of player. She can copy different martial art techniques to her best ability and incorporate them into her style. Since she is learning on the fly, her techniques are the furthest thing from perfect. However, she finds a way to make it work. Her favorite attack is when she jumps up above her opponent’s shoulders and latches onto them with her hands, then casually lets herself fall behind them and grabs their arm, twisting it slightly, then pulls them over her back and finally thrusts them face-down on the ground to deliver her last blow. She loves adding a little flare to her fight.

As mentioned, with her copying ability, it is not exactly a technique as it is memorization. Because of intensive schooling, she already developed condensed ways to study one thing as quickly as she can in order to understand its value. Shizuka applied this to fighting. As one studies a subject, they become better and better at it until reaching the ultimate level of understanding: mastering the specific item. Shizuka does this with attacks. She watches them being done by her opponent, studies the movements, and then copies them to her best ability. Obviously the attacks that she returns using this method will be weaker than the enemy that originally knew them since they are not all her own, but it allows her to better comprehend the opponent and eventually take control of their strategy to gain an advantage when possible.

Being a bit of a comic book nerd, Shizuka came to love everything about the Marvel comics. She especially loves the Hulk because of how his anger only makes him stronger, albeit a little more dangerous. She found herself to be a bit similar. The angrier she is, the stronger she becomes due to natural adrenaline. She starts out fighting so calmly, delivering kicks and defending herself easily, just trying to avoid trouble and still attack at the same time. However, once the enemy officially makes the entire fight serious - which often happens quickly - she turns into a complete demon. Shizuka displays hardly any emotion and practically sees red with pumped-up energy. Every bit of her is charged into a machine-like state with sadistic intentions.

Of course, though, she implies for her hits to be incredibly powerful for as much as she can give. When necessary she can scavenge up even small amounts of energy when she attacks to make her opponent stumble. What she looks for is an opening, any opening that can possibly give her a chance to strike with accuracy, like a vector on a plane. Shizuka just wants to slither her way into an easy target to make her battle simpler in the end to win. She can be a bit of a perfectionist, but she knows when to drop that and try to do whatever it takes to keep her safe and out of harm’s way when it comes to a stronger threat.

Her senses are not “extraordinary” or “inhuman” by any means, but they are definitely more powerful than the average person. Shizuka has been known to close her eyes and use smell and hearing to internally develop a landscape-vision in her mind of the surrounding area and take in the nature around her. Using this technique, she can feel her opponent’s energy and distance appealing items such as trees or something along those lines that she would be able to use. She tries to use everything she can to gain some kind of advantage because she knows that it could make a huge difference to the outcome in the end.

With gymnastics, it has often been thought of as a way to make a nimble body so they may display their talents gracefully and carefully on any given terrain in order to present an entertaining show for spectators. Now, Shizuka stole her talent in this field and added her own fighting style to it. After learning gymnastics since she was little from simple interest, she decided to make it her own. Each “show” she puts on while she fights is a small strategy she uses to her advantage in order to gain control over the scene. She is a performer, after all. She will make a big deal out of a small thing if it involves her, but only when it is necessary. That way, she can “impress the judges” and win.

Each little item that she can use in a fight intrigues Shizuka to a full extent. She loves finding new ways to interpret her odd style and believes it is the only fun way to look decent and fight well at the same time. It makes sense, does it not? In reality, she is cunning and imaginative, and is always ready to bring out something new that might actually confuse the foe. That is her real objective. If they are disoriented, that makes it easier. Right? Naturally, it does. For example, she would not put it beside herself to use her nails like claws. They can get pretty sharp with how extensively she cares for them, so even they could help her out.

Imagine a liquid. Any liquid. It can be simple, like water, or something unusual, like Listerine mouthwash. In fact, it could even be glass, since that is actually a liquid. Yes, you non-believers, it is. You learned something today. Now, the big deal about that is her shoes actually transform into a bucket and a water gun. This is not a joke. As it turns out, these weapons can summon any liquid, any at all, including something harmless like orange juice, and fill the bucket with it while the water gun uses it. Actually, it can even be some ridiculous liquid, like how most candies are. Taffy, gum, things like that - they are all liquid.

Some people probably wonder how that happens. Well, the bucket is actually small. It is an average-sized, white pail with an orange handle and everything. However, it can hold up to one hungred gallons of liquid at its current level. The liquid ranges widely, as noted before, and Shizuka uses this liquid to attack when she uses her Fullbring. Whatever she chooses will appear in the bucket, fill it, and then be transferred to the gun so that she may shoot it back out at the opponent as she wishes. The bucket does not have to be in close proximity to Shizuka, but since it only holds one hundred gallons, it is possible to run out of whatever fills it.

She can activate and de-activate her Fullbring whenever she really needs to, since sometimes you actually do need shoes to walk somewhere if it might hurt your feet. Though, Shizuka prefers to be shoe-less and is much more likely to keep her Fullbring activated because she adores the feel of the ground instead of the cramped-up space of a shoe. She may use the shoes to kick down an enemy or cause powerful damage to the extent that she needs, then finish them off by blasting acid on them. Even though she can simply dump the liquid from her bucket onto the enemy, then all of it would be gone and she would not be able to use any later if she needed it.

Shizuka loves being in the spotlight of all of her fights, or even when she isn’t fighting at all. Often times she will hold the gun on one hand and kick her opponent to knock them over or find an opening then shoot them straight in the middle of their body. Though acid would make the most sense in order to win, she never wants to severely injure anyone if she does not have to. She will choose something painful but not deadly. On the other hand, if angered enough, she has been known to almost “accidentally on purpose” cripple someone to an extreme extent, like maybe melt their arms off with magma or something along those lines. No big deal.

Each move she makes is like an entirely different material. She has a habit of rushing into things quickly, but she will slow down when she feels she absolutely needs to. If her kicks and punches do not work, she will pull out the big guns - literally. Change is fun to Shizuka, and she loves fun things. So switching it up a few times in one battle is actually very entertaining, and she often figures out ways to do that in order to confuse someone. She enjoys testing her boundaries, even if it can be a bit dangerous. She considers herself to be a natural leader, though; so she really just wants to be able to relax in a fight and let everyone else do the hard work so she doesn’t have to worry about it.

Mentioned before, all of these are mostly a game to her. She always knows when to be serious, but she has a young sense of humor and wants nothing more than to laugh, even in battle. She’ll make jokes at her opponent or speak in puns because that’s always super exciting. She is kind of like a child, but she doesn’t mind that about herself. When she isn’t trying to act elegant and impress whomever she is around, she will always find some way to entertain herself and have a good time. Besides, no one wants to be around a sourpuss who sucks the fun out of everything, right? Shizuka only enjoys being around positive people with positive energy, even if it’s a fight.

Even though Shizuka is different, and has somewhat odd abilities, she knows she is strong and appreciates that strength in her own way. She sees it as a huge accomplishment in her life and she always dreamed of people witnessing it and being proud of her. Pride in herself is important, and Shizuka often needs that pride to fuel the confidence that brings power to her abilities. She has to battle with her own self doubt most of the time and really treasures those who have faith in what she can do. It takes a lot more than a physically strong person to be emotionally strong and realize their true potential over brute strength.


Main Fullbring Appearances:

These handy little items have been around for many generations, varying in size, height and style. They have become a major part of society and are involved in many trends while also remaining stylish and useful. Some are more suited for work while others simply make a fashion statement, but they are worn by many and loved by all. Well, for the most part. Shoes have become integrated into many civilizations, and even some pets wear them. Whenever they were first created is irrelevant, but they have truly been a blessing to people world wide who partake in many different activities such as hiking, swimming, cycling, running, or whatever anyone wants to do. The uses are infinite, but they have a certain way of tying everyone together. In terms of purely Shizuka using them, her shoes still confuse many people as they cannot possibly understand why a woman would ever put herself through such pain. However, Shizuka’s shoes are comfortable because they were custom made. Still, despite their style or comfort, that does not take away from the fact that they are heels.

Four inches tall and quite fashionable, this pair of golden Roberto Cavalli heeled shoes never comes off her feet. Not only are they the only way she can activate her weapon, they also allow Shizuka to look a little more dignified since the women in power that she has seen always wear tall dress shoes. Each one has four straps. One buckles around her ankles, another wraps around the top of her feet at an angle to keep them, and the last two cover her toes near the tip of the shoe. Then there are roughly nine chains of varying sizes and designs that are hooked in to the back of the top strap that wraps around her ankles. These are for nothing more than decoration and serve no real purpose, but sometimes jingle when she walks. The fabric pattern is brightly colored with small raised bumps for added texture, making the shoes seem to shine.

{Shizuka's Shoes}

When released, the shoes that were bestowed upon Shizuka actually disappear completely, leaving her bare foot. They are replaced by two things; a small white bucket with a light orange handle that is somehow capable of holding up to a whopping amount of one hundred gallons of liquid inside of it, and a large water gun blaster. The water gun itself is three feet long and mostly white with some orange, black and gray detailing all around it. The bucket just sort of appears and stays in its own little place, but the gun is incredibly noticeable because of the sheer size. Well, that, and it looks like a kid’s toy. A powerful kid’s toy. Because of the size, though, it can still be intimidating until Shizuka’s opponent realizes what it is. However, that is just what Shizuka wants because she could use that to catch them off guard.

The water gun alone is interesting. On the outside, it appears just like any other play toy. It is just slightly more threatening. At first glance, it would be rare for anyone to take her weapon seriously. Shizuka knows just how to change that impression, though. The barrel of the gun is mostly white with two orange sliders on the sides that adjust water pressure and volume. On the right side of the gun is the pressure slider and the left side has the volume slider. As she messes with the two, Shizuka can control how much liquid she wants inside of the gun and how fast it will escape when shot. For symmetrically decorative purposes, there are ten ovular notches on both sides, as well. The muzzle is bright orange, and the very end of it is slightly larger than the rest of the barrel. By twisting it clockwise, three settings can be found for shooting the contents out: Super Soaker, Blast Cannon, and Stream Line. Super Soaker is just a simple blast for fast shots. Blast cannon is a larger shot that requires more pressure. Stream line shoots a constant stream of water at the opponent and needs more pressure than Blast Cannon to operate. The barrel is about six inches in diameter, which means it’s a pretty big gun. That just makes more sense since it’s a blaster, though.

Below the barrel is the pump. It is a white handle that Shizuka can slide back and forth from the trigger to the muzzle in order to pull the liquid from the bucket into the gun. The slider that it is on is a blue-gray color and connects to the barrel itself. On the left side of the gun above the trigger is a small gauge that shows how much pressure is inside the gun, which Shizuka can then change using the orange slider on the right side. It also tells her the distance that the shot will have when it is let out as she pulls the trigger. Then, below it is the handle that is the same color as the pump’s slider. Connected to the rest of the gun is a white shoulder piece that Shizuka uses for heavier loads in order to keep her balance.

Last but certainly not least, there is an orange, square-shaped piece connected to the top of the barrel of the gun that hangs off the side a bit. It is five inches tall and six inches at the base. It can act as a shield or a small decoration, but it can also be used to detect or sense different things within a diameter of two hundred yards with Shizuka as the midpoint. Each radius is only one hundred yards, though. The detections are just other people who are either weak or not using major cloaking techniques within the circumference, though. It simply enhances her own abilities.

{The Gun and the Bucket}

In the second level, the gun changes by splitting itself into two separate twin pistols. Modeled after the Nerf Super Soaker, they become more versatile. They have the ability to be combined into a Tornado Striker when fused together, but Shizuka can break them apart and use them as twin pistols as she pleases. The change between a single gun and two individual guns is purely for ease of use and does not alter their abilities. They continue on with the black, gray, white and orange color scheme, as well. They are also noticeably smaller. The twin pistols are not much larger than the stereotypical handgun.

As a Tornado Striker, it becomes lighter in weight and easier to carry than the Level One Blast Cannon form. However, the lighter weight should not fool anyone. It has the same color scheme, but now there is a small cartridge below the pump with some gray and orange detailing. This box may appear useless since it is so miniature, but it holds an extra thirty more gallons of liquid in it for storage. Shizuka could easily detach it from the gun itself and hook it on to her clothes to carry it around. The new gun resembles that of a sniper rifle.

In addition to being lighter and changing its appearance, the gun is actually now slightly smaller. Despite the sizing difference, it becomes much easier for Shizuka to maneuver and control. The barrel is now about four inches in diameter and the entire gun is roughly two feet in length. The piece that extends from the back can be altered to fit over her shoulder, reverting the length back to the original three feet.

{Level Two}

Main Fullbring Name: Beach Queen


Main Fullbring Level 1 Property:

Most people would be confused when they first saw the appearance of this weapon. Besides, everyone knows that the real purpose of a water gun is simply to aim and shoot at whichever target in an attempt to get them covered in the water. The bigger the gun, the more drenched the target. However, this means distance is key. Logically, the further away something is, the more likely it will get wet because of air resistance acting on the path of the water. Close range, for now, is out of the question while using Beach Queen. On the other hand, if a different strategy is used, then close range is capable. Besides, nothing is impossible. The style of the fight is what really makes a difference, though. Attacking further away would be preferable, unless Shizuka just wanted to throw punches.

“Magic Super Soaker.” Those are basically the only words that come into Shizuka’s head when she thinks about her weapon. The point of a water gun is simple entertainment, but there is a slight difference between an average water gun and the monster that is used in battle. The bucket alone has one hundred gallons of liquid. This liquid can be absolutely anything with a liquid form. If Shizuka knows it exists, she can use it to her advantage. This liquid is magically stored in the bucket where it sits there until it runs out. Shizuka can then refill the bucket after two posts by focusing on whichever liquid she wants in there. Once empty, the gun is nothing more than a toy and cannot collect any more liquid until the bucket is refilled. In the very first activation, the bucket is already full with one hundred gallons of whatever Shizuka wants and that liquid cannot and will not change until the bucket is completely empty.

For the gun, the situation is different. First of all, the inside of it is lined with concentrated reiatsu that protects the gun from any internal damage that any liquid could potentially cause. It does not wear down and serves no other purpose than for protection of the weapon. Regarding how the gun is used, there are two kinds of shots that can be fired depending on which of the three settings are utilized. The first is Super Soaker. This is the setting when a thin stream of liquid about the thickness of an average soda can is shot out with a length of about ten meters. This is used when she is closer to her target and can do serious damage on more personal areas of the body. The next setting on the dial is called Blast Cannon. These shots are much thicker with more force behind them than the Super Soaker, and they have a firing distance of about twenty meters. Lastly, there is Stream Line. While the shots on this setting are as thin as the shots for Super Soaker, they last longer and can travel up to fifty meters in distance.

Since the bucket has to run out eventually, there are limits with how much liquid is used per length of each shot. Thick shots use a half of a gallon per every two meters, while thin shots use a half of a gallon per every ten meters. Added up, this means that each setting limit for Super Soaker, Blast Cannon and Stream Line can use at least a gallon, ten gallons and five gallons, respectively. She can use more than that amount depending on the amount of time that she holds each shot. For Super Soaker, the longest it can last is ten seconds, which uses a total of four gallons. The Blast Cannon only shoots one blast for each time the trigger is pulled, so there is no time limit on that. For Stream Line, it can last for twenty seconds, which means the total of gallons used can go up to twelve.

Shizuka can also always pick up the bucket and dump it on an enemy. Only she has the power to lift it since it resonates with her soul, much like Thor’s Mjolnir. She always has to watch herself, though. If any liquid from the bucket hits her, it will affect her just as it affects anyone else. As an example, say it was acid and she was shooting it at her opponent to burn them or cause some pain and discomfort in order to erode their skin away. If she were to be hit by it, too, then she would also get hurt and suffer injuries. So, while picking up the bucket and dumping it might seem like a good idea, she would be forced to use a specific strategy for that in order to gain its success. Although, she prefers not to do that.

There is only one way to heal herself. In order to do so, 200 Reiatsu must be used and and injury has to be inflicted on Shizuka. The blood drawn from the wound has to be dropped inside of the bucket, and this is the only time the liquid inside will ever change without being refilled. This is also the only way that this power can work. The injury cannot be self-inflicted, and the blood will be destroyed upon entering the bucket. Shizuka then shoots herself with the liquid and it will heal anything inside of her that is not considered vital, much like Wolverine from X-Men. She calls this ability “Royal Elixir.”


Main Fullbring Level 2 Properties:

Shizuka’s Level 2 is properly named “Royal Pain.” After the transformation, her gun gains two more nozzles in addition to the original one and each has its own ability. Often times, this is used when a bigger attack strategy is needed and she cannot use just a simple liquid anymore, so combining different liquids, along with another surprise, adds a bit of flare to the whole idea. She can choose to separate this gun into twin pistols when she pleases and may revert them back at any time.

Known as “Triple Finish,” three nozzles are on the barrel of the Tornado Striker, each holding its own special ability. What happens is, when Shizuka imagines a liquid, the bucket fills. However, the cartridge on the bottom of the gun fills with any other liquid that she wants, but only with thirty more gallons of whatever it is. It could be another liquid, maybe acid in the bucket and chloroform in the cartridge. But, most of the time she will put oil or gasoline inside of it for a special reason. As a combination, it works to Shizuka’s advantage. In its twin pistol form, however, the liquid that is inside the cartridge is moved over into only one of the guns. The other pistol has appropriate access to whatever is in the bucket. Once the limited gun runs out of those thirty gallons, she may either choose to refill it with the bucket's liquid contents or combine them into one gun again to gain a second liquid entirely. She cannot willingly refill it with something else while they are separated and must combine them first to accomplish this. Once they separate again, she is able to use the second liquid.

The nozzles on the Tornado Striker are shaped in a triangle. One only shoots bucket liquid, another shoots cartridge liquid, and the third – which is also her favorite – shoots flames. These flames are not as strong as any average flamethrower, by any means. She must be able to get close enough to her target in order to use this, since the fire has a two-foot length when shot solo. If she happens to have gasoline in use, she can shoot it out at her target and use the fire either at the same or afterwards in order to create her own type of flamethrower instead. That top nozzle only shoots fire, though. It cannot shoot anything else out of it. She can also only ignite it about twenty times, but after that it runs out and she can no longer use it. The twin pistols do not have access to this flame shooter. They must be combined into the Tornado Striker for this to be present.

Shizuka can now shoot two liquids at the same time to cause greater damage, too, depending on what is in the second cartridge. The speed of each shot is relative to a normal bullet but does slow down if she is further away due to normal air resistance. She is able to choose how much is shot out depending on how much she pumps inside the gun. The shot distance is also relatively limitless, though even this has to be within reason. Her shots certainly won't travel as far as a mile, obviously. She has to be even more careful now because of the difference in volume for each carrier. She could easily run out of liquid from the cartridge faster than the one in the bucket, but she cannot refill the cartridge after it has been emptied unless she disconnects it first. Then, she can dip it into the bucket, take out whatever is inside, and connect it back to the gun. The cartridge does not have to be submerged, so that saves Shizuka some stress on if she would hurt herself doing this. The liquid that is inside the cartridge will not always match what is inside the bucket, though. The bucket could have plain water and the cartridge could have milk, for all she cares. It just depends on what she wants.

Occasionally, by shooting fire and another liquid that may be evaporated at the same time, the gas from the liquid may be formed. For example, if she were to use chloroform, that may remain a liquid or be heated slightly to a gas, which will be forced out of the gun in an air bullet to the opponent. The length limit for this to succeed is at most sixty meters. After that, the gas dissipates and it is rendered useless. The closer Shizuka is when she uses this attack, the stronger it is.

Once the fire is used up, it is gone for the duration of the rest of the activation of her Fullbring. Unfortunately, Shizuka cannot restore her own power after that and she can only use what she was originally given at that time. Using it to her advantage, though, is something she managed to master enough to where she rarely needs to worry about running out and suffering greatly. The only thing that cannot happen to her would be if she was downgraded to a simple water gun after too much use, because that would mean some serious trouble. Luckily, this only occurs if she runs out of power, which she is very careful not to waste.


Secondary Fullbring Appearances:

When in its sealed form, these items can be quite scandalous. The top piece, completely red and wrapped around her chest for support, keeps her feeling mature and womanly. Or, so it appears. In the center of the article of clothing, there is a small, white jewel decoration to make it a bit cuter. As appealing as this may be to Shizuka, she knows it is more appealing to most men. However, she would never purposely show them. Not all the time, anyway.

The bottom piece has a bit more detail and is cheeky in style, meaning it exposes a good portion of her butt. It is also mostly red except for some lace detailing around the waist and legs. Two strips of silk fabric are placed towards the sides with small black bows between the silk near her legs. Most, though one would hope all, women wear these as a barrier between their pants and bodies. As an arousing object to view, it was a huge deal to her when Shizuka was finally able to go shopping at Victoria’s Secret on her own to buy her lingerie. Yes, the items that held some Fullbring powers were, in fact, her bra and panties.

When released, these two items completely re-clothe her and give her a new baton. In the style of a bodysuit, the clothes start with tight pants with small tears all around her legs. This portion extends up to just below her breasts where two black structures wrap around her ribcage to provide the outfit with some support. The structures meet in the center of her upper abdomen to form a shield-like design, and the upper part of her bodysuit is simply two strips of fabric that wrap around her neck like a bikini halter. She gains a hat for flare purposes that resembles one belonging to a police officer, a small pink tie around her neck, and a band wrapped around her upper left arm that is also pink with a white X on it. The baton that she gains has a black handle with a bright pink body. This baton is two feet long.

{Shizuka's Outfit and Baton}

Secondary Fullbring Properties:

While the only purpose of the new outfit Shizuka wears is to grant her immunity to her own powers, the baton is what ends up being more useful in combat. Even as just a blunt object, Shizuka can beat people with it, but the trick to this item is that it automatically changes the form of whatever it touches into a liquid. Even techniques will be transformed, and any object, including Release weapons, that comes into contact with this baton also has the potential to have its structure changed to a liquid. The ability is treated similarly to the mythical Midas Touch. This happens at different stages, and the property is called "Get Soaked."

Anything that has an Offensive Stat that is one-third that of Shizuka's will be entirely transformed into any liquid of Shizuka's choice the moment the baton makes contact. This transformation takes the item's effective volume and simply turns it into the liquid equivalent of that measurement, so the ratio is 1:1. For anything that has an Offensive Stat that escapes this rule, meaning Shizuka's relevant Stat is not a minimum of three times greater or the opponent's relevant Stat is greater than her own, the object is simply coated entirely in the liquid of her choice. Every single inch will have a layer of this fluid on it, no matter what. This layer is only two inches thick.

To initiate this transformation, it is still imperative that contact is made. This can be a major drawback if Shizuka cannot make direct contact with anything. Even transforming everything around her may not win the fight if her opponent is simply too fast or strong, comparatively. The baton is required to touch whatever it is she wants to transform, and once it touches anything, its powers are in effect. This is why she wears the suit because she would not be immune to these abilities otherwise. The suit, and therefore her entire being along with her Primary Fullbring, will not be affected.

In addition to the fact that she cannot control the transformation and it happens automatically upon contact, changing the liquid has a cost. For every change that she makes, she must pay 50 Reiatsu for it. She can change it as many times as she wants within a post but must pay the cost every single time. She also cannot affect anything larger than 50 feet in any direction.

The second property is called "Dry Out" and is much more simple. Where she can gift fluids to people in abundance, she can also take them away. When using Dry Out, a single touch of her baton to anything that has any fluid component will automatically dry the fluid of her choice out entirely. She can only choose one fluid at a time and if she wishes to change which fluid dries out, she must pay the cost of 50 Reiatsu to do so, similarly to how it works with Get Soaked. This property operates identically to Get Soaked with how the highest Offensive Stat affects its potency only for anything that is less than or equal to a third of Shizuka's.

For anything that falls within that range or has an Offensive Stat greater than Shizuka's, it takes four touches in total per fluid to completely dry it out. Each touch removes 30% of whichever fluid Shizuka chooses from whatever the baton comes into contact with. This removal is automatic and does not require her to leave the baton on the touched area for any extended period of time. It happens in an instant. It also does not require direct contact with the fluid. If she were to touch a plant, for example, she could choose to drain the plant of its water content entirely, leaving nothing but a dried husk. This fluid disappears completely and she cannot use it in combat. Similarly to the first property, she cannot affect anything larger than 50 feet in any direction.

Introduction:

Born with Italian heritage, Shizuka grew up in a very different kind of household compared to her friends. Her name makes her seem more Japanese than not, but that was far from the truth. The Sanamizu family has had a mix of Japanese and Italian blood in it for generations, making Shizuka incredibly proud of her ancestry. From birth, she has experienced so much from each culture and learned a large amount about her own relations through this. She grew up with a loving pair of parents, a somewhat awful sister, wonderful friends, and an even more exciting aunt. Everything was perfectly normal until Shizuka realized she had a gift and devotion with which to use it. Her life was thrown into this unknown spiritual world where all she knew was that she had to defend her own human race from the dreaded Shinigami that her aunt told her so much about. As soon as all of this began changing, she quickly learned that she had a purpose, and she was willing to go as far as she needed to in order to reach it.

{Chapter 1}

~ Chapter One: Birth.

“Sweetie, you know I didn’t mean for this vacation to be stressful… I really am sorry for putting you through this.”

Miki Sanamizu spoke to her husband in a hushed tone as she bent herself over in pain from the coming labor. Miki was now a little under eight months pregnant, and she felt her water break just minutes before. Her husband, Enzo, was standing by her with their first daughter, Kaede, trying to comfort his wife after he had already called the hospital and hung up the phone. He wanted Miki to feel safe. She meant everything to him, and he watched in worry as she began getting worse and worse.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry…” Miki repeated the phrase over and over again.

Enzo simply kissed her forehead, saying, “You don’t need to be. This is more exciting for me than you’ll ever know, and I want to make sure you’re okay.”

Kaede stood next to her father and watched with immense curiosity as her mother breathed heavily and tried to sit herself down on the nearest chair, using the side of the table it was underneath as her balance. They were on vacation in Venice, Italy, so Enzo wanted everyone to see his extended family and visit the new vacation house. The baby was not expected for another six weeks, so Enzo had booked a trip in celebration of the new life.

“Daddy, Mommy hurts.”

Kaede tugged on her father’s shirt for attention. Moments later, a knock was heard on their house’s front door and Enzo left Kaede to rush like a mad man over to it. He pointed to Miki who waved weakly at the medics, and they carefully carried her out in a wheelchair. Once she was placed in the ambulance, Enzo picked up Kaede, who giggled playfully, and entered the ambulance with his wife and soon-to-be daughter. The entire way over to the hospital seemed too long for the family to bear, and Kaede became restless. She wanted to play, having no idea what was actually happening. Enzo poked her nose, sat her down on the side bench where he was, and looked her straight in the eyes.

“Sweet heart, I need you to be still. Mommy’s expecting a new baby soon and she can’t deal with the extra movement.”

Kaede nodded and Miki moaned painfully in response. She closed her eyes tightly and started breathing slowly, just as everyone teaches you to in those pregnancy classes that some beginner parents take. Enzo grabbed her hand and squeezed tightly, then smiled when he felt his wife squeeze back and grin in return.

At the hospital, Miki had been taken into the labor room as quickly as the medics could without causing her too much discomfort. Now the contractions were starting and she was beginning to groan in pain, refusing to listen to anyone who talked to her. Enzo offered an epidural, feeling it was an appropriate time since it numbs the lower half of the body, and the nurse who was helping them agreed. She rushed out of the room to get the medicine before it was too late, since after a certain point, it cannot be administered. Kaede was sitting in the chair across the room from the side of her mother’s bed, lightly playing with her sleeves as her father stayed close by her mother’s side. When the nurse came back, Miki began screaming in pain as they lifted her up to a seated position to give her the epidural shot. She cursed and complained until the shot finally kicked in, and then she calmed down but kept up her fast breathing. After what seemed like forever, the nurse said it was time for Miki to start to push, and she quickly obeyed. Enzo took Kaede into the back room so that she did not have to see her mother when this happened, because from past experience with himself, he knew that she would not want to be near Miki.

Hours passed, and Kyou had visited the room a few times only to be yelled at and shooed away by the nurses and his wife. Outside the door, he heard her screams of pain as she delivered the baby, which had definitely scarred him for a decent while. Kaede was asleep in the chair next to him when the nurse came out with a big smile on her face.

“You can come in now, if you want. Your wife and child are healthy and you’re a father again. You have a beautiful baby girl.”

Enzo picked up Kaede, rushed into the room, placed her on the chair across from his wife again and let her rest more, then held Miki’s hand as tears of happiness – and some relief – danced around her eyes when she looked down, lovingly, at her new daughter. This moment is considered one of the most amazing moments in anyone’s entire life, and they were able to experience it twice. Although, twice seemed to be more than enough at this point. This baby was premature, and that can cause some major complications. They were incredibly lucky this time around, but it could potentially happen again and Enzo wasn’t so sure he wanted that. Still, he grinned at his wife.

“You know, I always liked the messy, tired look better on you.”

Miki smiled at her husband’s joke and turned the baby around slightly so that he could see her. The feeling that overcame Enzo at that moment was a rare one, only happening once before with Kaede. He picked up the newborn, smiled at her, poked her nose lightly and watched as she struggled to open her eyes. He was absolutely beside himself. Not only was she trying to open her eyes, but she was also giggling at his touch against her nose. Babies make a lot of noises when first born, but laughing is not one of them.

“Miki, look at this! She’s going to see us first! Isn’t this unusual for a newborn baby?”

Indeed, this was odd. Newborns never opened their eyes straight after birth. It usually took a couple of hours, but maybe this just meant she was a bit special. After all, she did survive quite a strenuous battle for life out of the womb. Besides, she was perfectly healthy, as the nurse said. The only explanation that either of them could come up with was that it was just another miracle. Enzo knelt down beside his wife so that she could take a look when she asked him to show her what was happening. It was only a few seconds later that their new daughter opened her eyes for the first time.

The nurse walked in, astonished. She brought the birth papers and information so she could ask the parents a few questions, but she was able to see something even more amazing. The girl had one blue eye and one green eye, which was later explained to the parents as heterochromia. It is very unusual in humans, and mostly found in animals such as dogs. Both Miki and Enzo smiled. They knew their daughter was unusual. But, deep down, in some way, they adored her more for it because she was truly a gift to them. Even after the premature birth, she was healthy. She came out crying, just as she was supposed to, and has no problems at all. She was a little bit different from most newborns but there are some out there who may share her same traits. As the nurse looked at the happy couple and their other sleeping daughter, she felt the papers in her hand and remembered what she came in the room for. Even though looking at these parents and witnessing the joy they feel is such a rewarding feeling for her job, she needed to finsh the legal information.

“Now, I want to ask you. What will you name your new daughter?”

Miki and Enzo looked at each other, then the baby, then back at the nurse with an exact idea on what the name was going to be. However, Miki was the one who spoke it with such a soft, tired, and kind voice. Only one word escaped her lips.

“Shizuka.”

{Chapter 2}

~ Chapter Two: Interest.

Four years had passed since the day Shizuka was born. Just a week after her birth, her parents traveled back to Karakura Town to properly raise their new baby. Her sister, Kaede, was now six-years-old and just beginning to torture Shizuka in that big sister way. Every day was the same thing. Kaede would start something, maybe throw a toy at her little sister, and then act like she was hurt and blame Shizuka. Obviously, this did not quite sit well with her sister. Eventually, she fought back, but used harder things, like plastic boxes or rocks, or even sometimes those noodles you buy for floating in pools at pool stores. She saw everything as a weapon and found more than enough ways to give full payback to her sister for what she did. But, that always came with a price, of course. Shizuka often got yelled at by her parents and never really wanted to be around her sister as a result. It always ended the same and she never liked the turn out, so she stayed in her room by herself or cuddled with her father, which was practically a safe haven for her. Their mother fussed at them often and gave them direct punishments for their misdeeds, but both of them were just young kids. What were they supposed to do?

One day, Shizuka and Kaede got in such a big fight that Kaede pushed Shizuka down on the ground and hit her with a wooden stick while they were playing outside. The reason the fight ensued was because they were playing with colorful blocks, and when Kaede asked her sister to pass her the green one, Shizuka had trouble. The blocks were only red and green. Instead, she gave Kaede a red one, and Kaede got so mad that she started calling her little sister harsh names because she believed she was "stupid." Shizuka started crying right away, but then Kaede joined in. Miki and Enzo rushed out to their children and immediately began interrogating them: asking what happened, who was hurt, what was hurt. Afterwards, when they had enough and finally stopped both girls from crying, Miki offered to take Shizuka out for a walk in town while Enzo took Kaede for ice cream in order to separate the two. Shizuka instantly agreed, but Kaede put up a fight, which only ended in her being sent to her room without supper that night. Shizuka smiled to herself, careful that no one else was looking. She knew if her parents saw her, she would be in trouble, too. That was not an option. Plus, she got to go out to town with her mom! She loves going to town because she always gets a nice treat or two from some food stands. So, as Miki took hold of her daughter’s hand, they walked down the street from their house and into town for some rest and relaxation.

"Sweetie, you told me that Kaede was upset because you didn't give her a green block. Did you do that on purpose to annoy her?"

"I didn't, Mommy. I was confused 'cause all of the blocks looked the same. Some were green sometimes and then they were dark the more I looked at them."

As Miki held on to Shizuka, who was then eating some grilled chicken off of a wooden stick, the thought just crossed her mind and she had to ask. Shizuka looked up at her mother and sighed. It wasn’t her fault that her sister was an idiot or that she was super mean. She couldn’t help it. Kaede just knew how to push her buttons and she made herself completely unbearable to be around, and Shizuka sometimes thought that even their parents thought that.

"Remind me to play a little game with you when we get home."

Miki thought about it for a moment as Shizuka nodded and finished her chicken. She had an idea, and she was going to give her daughter a short test when they made it back to the house. They kept walking, and Miki noted that they were passing by some martial arts dojos and explained to her daughter what they were about. Shizuka raised one eyebrow and looked up to her mom, confused.

“Do they always have to train? Every day? Why?”

Miki laughed to herself and picked her daughter up on her hip, then walked over to a small bench by the side of a street and settled Shizuka next to her. "Sweetie, they want to get better at what they do. Fighting is important to them, and it teaches great discipline. Something I think your sister desperately needs.”

Shizuka smiled and quickly agreed with her mother as she hopped off Miki's side and visually explored different things. But then, as she looked around, something caught her eye. It was a large building with Olympic rings on the side. It looked like a stadium, but not one for baseball or football. It was smaller. Shizuka tugged on her mother’s arm and pleaded that they go see what it was, a favor in which Miki was very happy to do. She got up, picked Shizuka back up and held her on her hip again, then walked over to the building. When they got there, Shizuka read the words above the front double doors that were the entrance.

“It says.… Gym.… nas.… tics. What’s that, Mommy?”

She struggled down from her mother’s clutches and quickly opened the doors to enter the building. As she took in her surroundings, she saw a very large arena that looked like an obstacle course. Each thing was brightly colored with big blocks of different shapes and sizes, rings hanging form the ceilings, bars that people were standing and swinging on, plus much more.

“Well, if you watch those other children in there, what they’re doing is called gymnastics. Learning this helps you make your body more flexible and compete by performing extremely cool stunts. That’s the gist of it.”

“Mommy! Can I do this? I want to be able to be like them! I think it’d be really fun and I promise I’ll keep up with it! It won’t be a waste of time!”

Shizuka ran over to the netting that acted as a fence between the kids in the obstacle course and the outside world of spectators. She was interested. Miki laughed at her daughter, walked over to her, picked her up, and lovingly nuzzled her cheek with a smile. She went back to the front desk and got some information about the training, then agreed to sign Shizuka up for lessons starting later that week. Shizuka was beyond excited, since this was all new to her. She never saw anything like this before, anyway. She knew that people could play sports and run and play music, but acrobatics never crossed her mind. Once everything was done and she was signed up, the lady at the desk’s counter waved goodbye as Shizuka and her mother left through the glass doors. Entirely over-joyed, Shizuka latched on to her mother’s leg like a monkey and did not let go for many steps until Miki finally picked her up and held her on her shoulders. Shizuka started singing a short song she made up as they walked home about her gymnastics classes, but stopped once her mother got her some more chicken from the food stands before they carried on their way.

At home, Miki and Shizuka walked through the doors laughing at something Shizuka had said, but stopped when they saw Enzo, tired and worn, walk in to greet them.

“What happened? Did Kaede fight with you?” Miki asked her husband, concerned.

Enzo nodded, but smiled at the two of them. “She’s asleep now, actually. You two were gone for quite a while. What were you doing?”

Shizuka ran up to her father, hugged his leg, and explained to him their journey, how her mom got her two pieces of chicken and she finished both instead of just half of one like she used to, the dojos, and the gymnastics arena and how she was starting classes. Enzo sighed happily and grinned at his little athletic girl.

“Sometimes, I’m really thankful that you aren’t like your sister. You’re never negative, you’re easy to deal with, you’re funny, and I can keep going with all of these compliments. Believe me, your mother and I thank you. You’re a gift.”

Shizuka beamed. She loved her parents as much as they loved her. However, this was the age when Shizuka really decided she did not like her sister, so whenever she was praised for those reasons, she felt like she could do anything without getting in major trouble. And sometimes, that’s just what she did.

{Chapter 3}

~ Chapter Three: Description.

Shizuka was now eight-years-old and enjoying her summer break to a full extent. After finding out she was colorblind in only one eye, she began to understand how to tell the difference between red and green, but it was still confusing sometimes. But, just as she promised her mom, she kept up her gymnastics practice and has been doing it every single day for three hours each. As it turned out, gymnastics became a favorite sport of Shizuka's. She ran home to her mother one day after practice, since she was now capable of walking by herself do to everything being within close proximity, more excited than any other child in the world. She called for Miki, trying to find her. When the sound of her child's voice reached her ears, Miki smiled and called back, moving towards Shizuka with her arms out wide. Shizuka jumped into her mother's embrace and hugged her tightly back.

"Mom!" she said, loudly. "You'll never believe what my coach said today!"

Miki looked back at her daughter and carefully let her go back on the ground so she could stand. "What was that, Love?"

Shizuka giggled and showed off her best smile, then grabbed her mom's hand and squeezed. "Well, she said that I've been doing so well recently that she wanted me to move to to level four and join Team! Isn't that cool? It means that I'm actually good at it!"

Miki laughed and picked her daughter up again, holding her tightly within her arms as she beamed to herself with pride regarding Shizuka's success. "Sweetie, that's amazing! Mommy's so proud of you! But does this mean you have to change your times? Since it's summer break now the hours aren't bad. But you remember how it was during school."

Shizuka shook her head. After being put down again by Miki, she ran upstairs to her room to change and put her gymnastics uniform away.

Something short needs to be explained. As most people know, gymnastics has different levels of skill, just as other things do. Level one is the beginner level, which is self-explanatory. As each person becomes better, they are asked to move up a level and eventually participate in Team. These teams compete in tournaments which could possibly be the gateway to the Olympics or something like that. Level four is the first step to being added in to Team. Each level after that just depends on what all the person can do. For example, level four means that you have to know how to do a back-hand spring on the floor and not just a trampoline, along with every skill before that. Level five is a flip, six is combinations, and so on. The amount of time it takes to achieve these goals varies per person. It doesn't matter how long someone has been on one level. If they don't know enough to move on, they can't until they learn how to complete the level requirements.

"I don't care if you think it's yours. Obviously you're just a stupid little kid! I hate you so much! Why do you even have to be my sister?"

Kaede, Shizuka's older sister, screamed as she tried to hit her younger sibling. Shizuka was holding a little cat beanie baby that she got as a toy in a fast-food restaurant's meal. Kaede had one exactly like it, but she lost it, so she blamed Shizuka now for stealing it.

"It's not yours though! It's mine! I know it's mine because it's been in my room since I got it!"

Shizuka tried with all her might to grab the toy back, but Kaede was bigger and stronger than her. Shizuka tried kicking Kaede's legs, and right when she thought she had the toy back, Kaede pushed her sister to the ground and pressed her foot hard against Shizuka's cheek. Luckily, Shizuka had moved her head to the side so her cheek was the ONLY thing that Kaede's disgusting foot was touching. Now, this was Kaede's secret move ever since they were really young. Shizuka grew to hate feet to a phobic level. Kaede's were just so gross. Shizuka swore her sister never even washed them, or any other part of her body for that matter. But Shizuka was smart. She kicked her sister in the stomach and moved herself out of the way as Kaede staggered back. Then, she rolled herself backwards into a handstand and leaned back before her legs caught her again and she stood up. Kaede started crying because she was hurt, but Shizuka disregarded it and stormed back into her room. She was sick and tired of her sister taking her stuff, blaming everything on her, and, worst of all, when Kaede shoved her feet in her face!

Here are some details on Shizuka's family. Her mother, Miki Sanamizu, was a tall woman with a strong personality. She had deep brunette hair like Shizuka, but down to the middle of her back instead of longer. Her eyes were forest green and seemed to open up to her own soul's desires. Her husband, Enzo Sanamizu, was more of a joker and enjoyed making people laugh. He had ocean blue eyes that entranced everyone that looked at him. His hair was jet black and styled short. Now, Kaede was the annoying older sister that no one ever wanted. She had blue eyes like her father, but they were less intriguing. Her hair was a plain, dark brown that had a small shimmer to it but nothing too spectacular. Compared to both of her beautiful parents, she was a bit on the average side, though she could still be considered "pretty." As she gets older, she will be a bit more "gifted" than her sister in the breast-size category, reaching a 34D cup. The entire family together, though, makes for an entertaining day, since there is never a dull moment when you are around them.

"But Daddy, you know I hate shoes! I don't want any of these!" Shizuka complained as her father grabbed a little pair of flats. She pouted and glanced down at her flip-flops.

"If we didn't need this protection, then we'd have been made with it. But we weren't, so you need to wear shoes."

Enzo went over to the register and paid for his daughter's new shoes, dreading the argument he'd hear at home every time he would try to have her put them on. She had one pair of sneakers and one pair of flip-flops, then her school slippers. That wasn't enough to really help her. She needed boots for the winter, though she insisted she never wanted them, and other shoes for other seasons and weather conditions.

"Sweet heart, if you be a good girl for Daddy then he'll get you ice cream! Is that a deal?"

Shizuka considered this for a moment, glancing to the side in thought. After a short while, she turned to her father and said, "If you get me two boxes of Sweet Tarts, then I won't complain about the shoes."

Enzo smiled in excitement and relief. "Deal," he said, happily buying the shoes from the cashier.

After going to a small shop to get Shizuka's candy, they went home peacefully without a word from his daughter at all. If he knew one thing, it was that Shizuka was a sucker for Sweet Tarts and already did almost anything for them. Enzo laughed about it but thanked the world that he knew her weakness.

{Chapter 4}

~ Chapter Four: Reason.

"Sweetie, it's about time you told me what you wanted for your birthday, you know? I have to make sure I buy you the right thing. Don't make me repeat what happened last year," Miki, Shizuka's mother, said to her young girl.

Shizuka bit her thumb in thought and stared at the ground. In one day she was going to be ten-years-old! How exciting was that! But, in a way, it seemed as if her life was passing by faster than she wanted.

"Well, I haven't seen Aunt Momo in a while. Not since last year, anyway. Do you think I could see her, maybe?"

Miki smiled at the thought. She also hadn't seen her sister in so long, but enjoyed the few talks on the phone that they shared occasionally. However, recently Momo had been getting really busy with some job she had that Miki didn't know about. Miki thought it was best to just not talk about it because it could be really personal.

"Well, my love, I'll call up your aunt and see what I can do about having her visit. Does that work for you? I'm not sure if she'll make it directly on your birthday but we could give it a shot. How's that sound?"

Shizuka smiled at her mother and gave her the tightest hug possible, and squealed "YES!" in excitement.

Miki simply squeezed her child in return.

"IT'S MY BIRTHDAY! IT'S MY BIRTHDAY! I'm ten, finally! But I don't feel older. I kinda miss being nine now… I hope that feeling doesn't last very long. I can't deal with it well."

Shizuka rambled in a long burst of energy. Miki was laughing at her playful little daughter while Enzo and Kaede, who was now twelve, set up the cake that just finished baking. Shizuka had been waiting all night for this day to come, because today was the day she would see her Aunt Momo! Aunt Momo always came to visit every year, but only for just a day. Shizuka was ready this time and couldn't stand waiting any longer for her favorite relative.

"When is she coming, Mom?" The birthday girl asked, curious about the time.

Miki sighed and frowned at her daughter, then began telling her about how she was so sorry, but she believed Aunt Momo couldn't make it today. However, before she was even done speaking, the door flew open in a swift movement and a long call was heard echoing through the house.

"HEYYYY! Guess who it is, fellas!"

A bright, cheerful voice rang through the ears of each Sanamizu member as they quickly turned towards the door, surprised to see none other than Momo standing there! Shizuka was beyond happy. She ran over to her aunt, who was carrying at least five bags on her arms, and gave her the biggest hug she could possibly muster. Momo grinned down at her niece and noted that she wasn't wearing shoes, as usual.

"Darling, where have your shoes gone? No socks, either?"

"Well Aunt Momo, I don't really like shoes. You know that. They bother my feet and feel unnatural."

Momo simply glanced to the side with a playful look, reached into one of her bags, and pulled out a pair of golden sandals with heels that were honestly quite large. Shizuka's eyes went wide with wonder at the two items as she slowly raised her hands to try to take them from her aunt.

"What are these? Heels? I'm not sure they'd fit me though. They look a tiny bit big."

A laugh burst from Momo's lungs as she carefully placed the shoes in Shizuka's hands. "My dear, those shoes used to be mine. The very day that they fit you will be the best day of your life. No one can ever call you short in those. They're four-inches-tall."

The young lady smiled at her gift. "I like these. They're cute." In just a short while, Shizuka had run up the stairs to put her new gift in her closet to try them on every day until they finally fit her.

"Well, Miki. Problem solved." Momo winked at her sister, who playfully rolled her eyes, almost knowing that the cute-craze her daughter had with those shoes would never last.

Aunt Momo was of a sophisticated party within the system. She was incredibly wealthy, as was her sister, Miki, but tended to flaunt her wealth compared to Miki's conservative nature. She was also tall, but usually seemed that way because of her favorite shoes, the golden heels, that were now passed down to Shizuka. Her hair was long and a much lighter shade of brown than Miki's, but her eyes were blood red. This was normal, however. It had nothing to do with a random mutation or anything. She had been born that way, just as Shizuka had heterochromia. She is a nice young woman, though a good many years younger than Miki, unmarried, yet likes to bask in her independence. Though she longs for the day that a man will sweep her off her feet, she would much rather stay at home or visit her favorite nieces after a long day of shopping for a surprise every once in a while.

Today had been glorious. Shizuka got every gift she asked for (though she didn't remember asking for most of them) and was even blessed enough to be graced by the presence of her aunt, or so Aunt Momo liked to say it. She even got to talk about how she was moved up to Team 2 in gymnastics, which meant she was on the national competition team. Team 2 translates into level six. It had taken a few years, but Shizuka was so proud of herself that she actually started preaching about it to anyone she saw. Her parents were proud, too. They didn't think she would stick with something like this because of her bad habit of getting bored easily with different activities, but she sure proved them wrong. Plus, it was really surprising that she actually liked the shoes that her aunt gave her for her birthday. Sure, they didn't fit her yet. But in time they would. And she would be ready for it. They were the only pair of shoes she has ever liked, and ever will like. For now, anyway. In addition, they made her feel taller. That was something that Shizuka always took pride in. She loved feeling taller than other kids because she usually was. Miki warned her that it wouldn't last forever, but Shizuka was determined to somehow stay remotely close to the top. Even if that sounds ridiculous, she was sure that the littlest bit of help would eventually do her good one day.

"I'm telling you, Miki. Shizuka is showing a lot of potential. I'm thinking that she might actually become a really famous Olympic athlete or something with all of this gymnastics that she's doing."

Enzo whispered to her wife to avoid any loud noises so that their children wouldn't wake up.

"I'm just happy that she loves it enough to stick with it. And she's in the best shape you can possibly be at for that age. You have to thank the insane workouts for that, I think."

Enzo smiled at his wife. "That may be true, but she's becoming physically stronger, too. You know she can almost pick me up now? It's a bit hard for her but I'm incredibly proud."

Miki embraced her husband and laughed quietly, remembering the first day those six years ago that Shizuka first wanted to join gymnastics, and how she almost had to beg Miki to let her join. Of course, as a mother, she was very willing to allow her daughter to have a bit of fun on her own. But neither her nor Enzo ever expected Shizuka to be such a good athlete. However, after so many years, it was obvious that she was going to show an outstanding amount of skill. They were just wondering how much longer it was going to last, or if Shizuka would ever make anything out of it.

{Chapter 5}

~ Chapter Five: Learning.

While in the comfort of her own backyard, Shizuka practiced away every moment she could for gymnastics. She was on the Junior Olympic team, eleven-years-old, and insanely dedicated to the sport. Outside of school, this was her life. She couldn't eat, sleep, bathe, read, learn or do anything without thinking about gymnastics. She became obsessed. By now she had won over ten competitions with gold and silver medals in several meets, each in a different skill-type. Her favorite involved flips and handsprings. Shizuka felt like she was flying through the air when she did gymnastics. The feeling was addicting, and there was no cure for it. By now, her body had become stronger and she was much faster with better reflexes due to the quick transitions between moves and stunts. Whenever she trained, Shizuka started to realize the power in her landings as she hit the ground. Each time, she thought back to the fight she had with Kaede and remembered how she kicked her off. As a result, Shizuka got an idea.

"If this works..."

As fast as she could, Shizuka set up a small obstacle course with what little supplies she had. She was able to make piles of sticks and built some three-foot hurdles with leftover wood from the garage along with other things. After she finished fixing everything up as specifically as she wanted to, she took one quick look at her course and smiled. It was an insane thing to do, and it took her a little over an hour to complete, but she did have fun. Now was the time to test out her little theory. Each obstacle had a special meaning, one that only she knew. Now, Shizuka believed that she could develop something. She believed that she had enough ability, based off how she beat her sister, to turn it into something more. The negative side of this was that she knew it could also fail. But was that really a problem? It was just a little experiment. Nothing more. All she wanted was to test a thought. She only wanted to see the effect. Beginning with this course, she'd be able to tell if she had enough skill to handle what she was about to try. Shizuka was simply curious. Isn't every young child? Maybe there's an invention or some kind of special talent they have, such as singing or dancing. Well, that was her. However, this was beyond a talent. This was a lifestyle. As Shizuka gazed over each stand once more and prepared herself, she remained quiet and smiled, trying to set the mood. She was ready.

Shizuka was fast. But that's what one gets after working on agility for so many years, since that's essentially what gymnastics is. She ran towards the hurdles and quickly jumped, angling her body so she could maneuver into a hand-less cartwheel, or mid-air crossover, then landed in front of a pile of rocks she made and crouched low before she twirled herself around and knocked the entire tower over. Shizuka smiled. That was one of her Team routine moves. After she did the low-sweep, normally she would twist up onto her hands in a handstand and back walkover to stand up before transitioning into her next move. But this time she tried something else. Near a large boulder, she distanced herself slightly and ran back towards it, positioning her hands up as she quickly moved into a round-off back-handspring, landing on the boulder instead when her hands were supposed to touch the ground, then pushed off with a bit of force and landed straight with her arms out to the side as balance. Another exciting moment for Shizuka! She could have grabbed Kaede by the shoulders then and either brought her back with her in the move or knocked her over by displacing her center of mass. Shizuka glanced back at her course, only one of the obstacles fully knocked over, proud of herself for actually making the whole idea work! She knew she could hurt someone with these techniques. It took some time, and it would still take time, but she believed that she could make her life just a bit more exciting.

Shizuka jumped up and down in self-praise. She was ecstatic! Who would have thought to combine those moves to create a new skill? Of course it would take tons of practice to even get better at, since everything was so new to her. She had to really think about what move to use. She couldn't just jump into one all that quickly. And to be honest, who was there to teach her? No one. She probably wouldn't ever even be able to teach someone else. It would have to be further developed in order for Shizuka to even consider that. But now what she had to do was practice. A new plan formed inside this young lady's mind. Not only could she be really good at something she'd stuck with almost her entire life up until now and on into the future, but she could actually transform it into a new style of self-defense that no one recognized! That made it easier, didn't it? What if she got into a fight on the street or something and started moving the way she did? The enemy wouldn't be able to identify anything, even if they were simple robbers who only knew gang fighting. Instead, they'd probably be confused and unable to react. That gave Shizuka enough time to run away. If she got involved in the fight anyway, she could still, hopefully, manage to get out. But she didn't like thinking about the negatives. She only wanted positives. Smiling, Shizuka slowly walked back inside her house, leaving her mini course out to play with later. On her way inside, she noticed the shoes that her aunt gave her in the doorstep. Shizuka tried them on, was disappointed to find they didn't yet fit, and left with a slight feeling of upset in her gut. She really did love those shoes. She only wondered how long it would be before her feet were big enough to fit.

"Hi, Mom. Hi, Dad. Sorry I was outside for so long. I got kinda distracted when I was practicing."

The little girl walked into the family room and saw her parents watching TV together. Music could be heard from up the stairs, which was the telltale sign that Kaede was home. Now thirteen and insanely bossy, Kaede ordered Shizuka around like a lap dog. And Shizuka was sick of it.

"Hey, Sweetie. We don't mind if you stay outside for a while, you know. We'd much rather see you having fun compared to Miss Pig cooped up in her room all day."

Her mother said with a slight smile. Shizuka giggled and Enzo tried to ignore the comment. He was the "good cop." She simply grinned at her parents and sat down beside them, snuggling up to watch the show they were so fixated on. Shizuka fought with herself over whether or not she should tell her parents about using gymnastics for self-defense, but she finally decided against it. For now, anyway. She was young and she didn't want her parents to worry. Since that's all parents do, she figured it was best to keep it her little secret until she's a bit older. Maybe two years from now.

{Chapter 6}

~ Chapter Six: Improve.

Today was a special day for Shizuka. Her aunt was visiting again, and since she just made a space in her busy schedule in order to see her niece, Shizuka was overly excited. She'd been waiting to for Aunt Momo since forever! Every time she visited, Shizuka would put on the heels that she got for her birthday. She grew in to them more now, so they looked right on her. It was about time, too. She loved those shoes more than anything on Earth, which meant a lot because the one thing Shizuka hated more than most other things were shoes. Everyone knew it, too. But what was the big deal, right? So Shizuka loved being outside in her bare feet. She loved gymnastics for the same reason. No shoes! And you can still do epic stunts! But that was an entirely other matter. Shizuka was truly dying to show her aunt her new fighting style that she made from gymnastics. It was so impressive! Or, she thought it was, anyway. It's been a little over a year since she first discovered she could fight with her own skill, and this young twelve-year-old was up and ready for anything. Even though she wanted to wait until she was thirteen to show her parents her talent, Shizuka wanted to show off a bit. Everything was always about Kaede. She was sick of it! For example, her sister would constantly get good grades and be praised by everyone. When Shizuka got good grades, no one was impressed. She normally got good grades so it wasn't a big deal, but the thing is that it hurt her. It was as if no one really cared about her success. Now was the time for her to prove that she had some true ability!

"Sweetie, why are you pulling my arm so much? You know that I just had my nails done..."

Aunt Momo complained to Shizuka as she dragged her relative around to the backyard. Shizuka giggled a little bit but then pulled her aunt away to the tree that she had been side-kicking for the past year and a half. It had a bit of an indent, and Shizuka suffered slight injury because she never really knew how hard a tree was to kick before. Her leg got slightly scratched up and bruised, but after practicing for so long, the pain stopped and she learned to place a pad around the tree where she kicked to gain muscle before trying again. It took her some time, but she caught on.

"Aunt Momo, it's fine. I just wanted to show you a few things before you went to talk to my parents. I guess showing off was more of my motive."

Shizuka smiled up at her aunt as she arrived at the tree. Aunt Momo asked her niece why there was a pad around the trunk, and Shizuka calmly explained her situation with the whole gymnastics-turning-into-fighting thing, and her aunt immediately took interest. She had such an excited look on her face. Shizuka almost suspected Momo was thinking something strange. But that was unlikely. Why would that ever pop up in Shizuka's mind, anyway? She figured it was just some weird paranoia she'd started developing ever since she had gotten older.

Shizuka finally let go of her aunt's hand, much to her aunt's pleasure. She walked over to the tree where the pad was, removed it, and displayed the large dent where the worn-down bark was. She'd been kicking the tree for months before she put the pad on, and even then the pad was thin. It hurt in the beginning. She'd gotten large bruises and it even started to bleed a bit as the wound got worse, but after some break time and conditioning, the pain stopped and she realized she could handle it. However, that's why she added the pad. She wanted to avoid more injuries. She just lied to her parents and said that she fell all the time when she was with friends or at school playing. Shizuka looked back at her aunt shortly, and then focused her attention on the tree again. Once she was properly positioned, she raised her right leg as much as she could and twisted herself slightly to the left to deliver a strong shot straight to the center of the dent. Once again she kicked. Then again. Each time, Momo just stared in shock at her niece to the amount of strength she had for such a young child.

"Each time.. the tree... gets weaker..."

Shizuka panted between kicks. The tree began making cracking sounds, but Shizuka ignored them. She brought her leg back down and held herself for a moment, keeping her arms at her sides to gain back a little bit of energy and avoid the slight pain her shin was getting. After a short while of resting, Shizuka quickly spun herself around and held out her leg so the power she gained transferred to the back of her calf as it slammed against the warn trunk, which began cracking even more, and the sound became louder. In just a few moments, the trunk split where she kicked, broke, and the top of the tree tumbled down and met with the ground seconds later. Shizuka stood, mystified. She didn't expect the tree to break, and apparently neither did Momo. Shizuka's aunt, eyes wide and mouth gaping, stared at her niece with such intensity that Shizuka turned and faced her with a bright smile, almost sensing the watchful eyes. Aunt Momo couldn't even believe what her niece had done! This small girl just broke a tree! Granted, the tree wasn't very large. It's not like it was three feet in diameter or anything. But it was impressive, nonetheless. Raising an eyebrow, Aunt Momo carefully watched and smiled as her neice danced around, showing off more moves and techniques she incorporated into gymnastics.

"Seriously, Miki. Your daughter has insane potential. She taught herself those things. Sure, it's a bit rough. But she's young! Could you imagine what she'd be like after a little bit of training in a real martial art? She would be beyond fantastic!"

Miki sighed and shook her head at her sister. "I barely believe Shizuka could even do stuff like that. Maybe she did break a tree but it was old. It could have just been too aged. And the fighting, it was probably her gymnastics routine put into a stronger light. I can't imagine her using any of those moves for anything more than competitions, let alone hurting someone."

Momo and Miki were in the living room when they talked to each other about Shizuka's new skills. While Momo believed her niece was a little more than she put off, Miki wanted her daughter to be safe and sound, and stick to one simple thing. She just found it hard to believe that Shizuka could be so strong. She knew her daughter had extreme potential, but of this kind? That was a bit odd. However, she was never one to completely stop Shizuka from doing something she loved. And if she loved whatever this was, then maybe stopping her was a bad idea. Plus, if she was having fun, Miki didn't want to be the "bad mother" that spoiled that for her. As Momo persisted, Miki began taking into consideration that maybe Shizuka had a bit more up her sleeve than everyone believed she was capable of. Sure, she was brilliant at gymnastics and her coach is even thinking of putting her in worldwide competitions, but something beyond that. Maybe Shizuka was a bit more special.

{Chapter 7}

~ Chapter Seven: Teacher.

"Thirteen-years-old and still going for the prize here! Aunt Momo, you've gotta stop saying I'm a 'simple' teenager! I've only been this old for a few months. I'm no different than how I was a year ago!"

Shizuka giggled as her aunt tossed a ball at her, with which she threw out her arms and caught. She and Momo had been playing around more often since her Momo decided to move back to Karakura Town in a house down the street. Shizuka never complained, of course. Kaede was stuck in her room all the time now-a-days, and that never bothered anyone. Especially since Kaede has turned into a major pain. It's as if everything sets her off, and then yelling turns into screaming and it's just not fun. So, naturally, Shizuka became the favorite and everyone pays attention to her. Well, they should. Right? And she's only been practicing her little fighting style every day for as long as she could since she figured it out. It's gotten better, too. Sometimes she even uses it against Kaede whenever she gets upset or frustrated. Kaede couldn't ever do anything about it either because there wasn't a definite way for her to fight back, especially since she never learned how to defend herself. Shizuka never hurt her sister too much, anyway. She just made sure that Kaede knew never to mess with her on a "bad day" because it'd end in failure on Kaede's part.

"Oh, Aunt Momo, I have a question." Shizuka asked, keeping the ball in her hands as she tilted her head to the side, questioningly.

"Shoot." Momo held out her hands, beckoning for the ball back from her niece. Shizuka obediently threw it.

"Why are you visiting so often now? I used to not see you for years, but now you just kinda showed up. I mean, do you have more time?"

Momo smiled for a moment, then laughed and threw the ball in the air a few times, catching it once it came back downward with each toss. "Sweetie, I felt so bad that I never spent enough time with you, so I decided that, since I was moving anyway, I might as well make myself part of your life. It'd be so much easier for you, too. Plus, I really wanted to help you with your fighting technique. It's interesting, and I wanted to make sure you only got better at it."

Shizuka glanced down for a moment, thinking about the whole situation at hand. She adored her aunt! And every moment longer with her just made everything better. Or so she figured. Either way, she supposed she didn't mind if Momo helped her fighting. She knew that Momo had some training back in the day, but Shizuka thought maybe her aunt grew out of it. Sighing, Shizuka closed her eyes with a tired expression and was about to sit on the grass, but all of a sudden, she felt a fast presence coming towards her. In seconds she looked back up, caught the ball that was flying through the air, and threw it back at her aunt, who caught it in return. Shizuka giggled, and Momo complimented her reflexes.

"Just wait until we get into something better, like knives and other weapons. Unfortunately, you won't be able to wear my shoes when we practice. The heels might get in the way."

Aunt Momo smiled at her niece, who glanced back and said, "Nah. I love these shoes! They're the only ones I wear and they actually fit me now. Well, sort of. They might be a size too big." Aunt Momo laughed and walked over to Shizuka, then lightly patted her back.

And so started the adventure of Shizuka's training with her aunt. Every day was a new lesson, since Momo knew so many defensive and offensive techniques. But every time Shizuka even mentioned a small question of why Momo knew all of these things, her aunt would turn away and say she’ll find out soon enough. After that, further questions were ignored with a smile and a laugh. It became more apparent with every passing week that Shizuka's specialty was kicking, especially since she'd been doing that ever since she taught herself her little style from gymnastics. Her entire body was strong, but her legs held more power than everything else as a whole. So, in response to such, Aunt Momo began teaching her some kicks that she could work on in time. Drop kicks were Shizuka's favorite, because they were so "showy." It was like putting on a spectacle with every move, since now she could jump higher than before. A small part of her wished that she could be a little bit stronger, since her aunt was so spectacular when she taught Shizuka everything. However, she was young. Shizuka knew if she waited and kept training and playing around with Momo, her day would come. Sometimes she'd be sneaky and keep a water gun in her back pocket, so after she tried kicking her aunt, she'd squirt water from it just so it would hit Momo on the chest or something. It was funny, because even though Shizuka did it often, her aunt never noticed until last minute. That way, Shizuka got a point because she did, technically, manage to do some kind of damage. Even if it was small.

"Every detail is important. She's catching on quickly and I know she'll only get better. You have to trust me with this, guys. Your daughter is an amazing person."

Enzo and Miki glanced over at Momo with surprised looks. They knew that Shizuka was outstanding with certain things, but they believed she should carry on with something she likes, not something she's being forced to do.

"But I'm not forcing her! She's gladly doing this with me. Plus, I get to see some of her skill. Skill, by the way, neither of you seem to even support. Why is that? You look at me as if I have three heads when I come to you about Shizuka's progress, yet I never hear you praise her or congratulate her. This is a big deal."

Miki and Enzo looked at one another. It's not that they never wanted to let Shizuka know she was special. It was that they wished of her not to get too cocky. It was great that she was learning self-defense from her own relative, not to mention the fact that it costs nothing. But no matter what happened there, spoiling her wasn't the way to come about this. Kaede would get jealous and that's just not something anyone is willing to fight.

"Even then, she's a brilliant young lady. When she gets older, maybe even just three years, everything will change for her! Everything will be opened, and she needs your support. She needs it more than you're giving her."

Momo's sister and her husband sighed, and then tried to explain their situation. They wanted for Shizuka to learn her own path instead of having one just presented in front of her. It's no secret that she's more advanced than most other kids her age, or at least it's not a secret in this family. But the one thing they're worried about is that Shizuka will feel cornered into something. They want her to make her own decisions. If she gets bored of gymnastics, she'll stop. If she gets bored of fighting, she'll stop. Hopefully then she'll move on to something else, too, so that she won't feel so tired and alone while others are off playing some kind of sport or something.

"You don't understand. She loves this. The way she smiles and moves says it all. I know where you're coming from and what you're saying, but you have to try to tell her how well she's doing from time to time. You know, show interest. I did a long time ago."

Then it was settled. Miki nodded at Momo, and Enzo agreed that it was about time they allowed their daughter some compliments with these things. Her entire life will be about making choices. Might as well support her on the ones she's already made.

Momo watched her niece as she played around outside a little while longer. She knew what was going to happen. Eventually, someone will be interested in her darling little face, and they will change her life forever. But why dwell on that now? She's got years before that time. Momo sighed and smiled to herself. Yeah, she'll make sure that Shizuka's all set and ready by then. It shouldn't take long at this rate.

{Chapter 8}

~ Chapter Eight: Beach.

"I can't believe we're here! Mom, Dad, this is insane! I love it!"

Shizuka exclaimed at the beautiful scene in front of her. For a family vacation, Enzo and Miki agreed on taking their daughters to the beach. Shizuka, now fourteen, and Kaede, a feisty sixteen-year-old, were so excited to be there that they couldn't contain themselves. Kaede talked about playing in the water and maybe trying to meet some guys, and Shizuka rolled her eyes at the thought. Everyone knew the cuter sister was Shizuka. Even at a young age, she got more guys flirting with her in a month than her sister ever would in her entire life. She felt older and more responsible, which added to the new "womanly feeling" she got every now and then. She felt more in control and powerful these days, especially after an entire year or so training with her aunt. But now, this was Shizuka's moment. This was her love. As fast as she could, she ran into the hotel room when Miki and Enzo checked in, changed into her favorite bathing suit - it was a bikini, too. Its top was a lovely green with a slight pattern and the bottom part was violet with the same varying pattern - and ran out to the beach to splash around in the water.

She'd waited for this for months! After a short amount of time, she heard her mother calling. "Shizuka, please be careful! You know how to stop being pulled out by a tide, right?"

"Of course!" Shizuka shouted back. "You swim with it, duh. I'm going to be fine, Mom!"

Kaede looked back to her mother as she set out her towel to lay down on. "Shizuka is such a brat. And she's so embarrassing. I wanted to finally meet a guy, and she's ruining it by even being here. She's so not my sister." Miki made a face at Kaede, and Kaede shrunk back slightly. "Well, it's true.."

Of course everyone knew Kaede was a pain in the butt, but nothing was worse than when she started complaining about Shizuka. Maybe her sister was taking too long in the bathroom, or maybe she stole a video game, or maybe she randomly beat Kaede up out of nowhere. Yeah, 'cause that happens. Whatever the cause, Miki had about enough of the whining. Kaede was sixteen now. She had to start acting more mature. But, obviously, that was nearly impossible. She couldn't act more mature even if her life depended on it.

"Today was so fun... And I think I got tanner, which is awesome. I was looking pretty pale there for a while."

Shizuka sighed as she sat in the hotel room tub. She had bubbles everywhere, and the only thing that made it better was that her mom said they were going to get some sushi at the bar down the street. Apparently it was a karaoke bar, too. Shizuka wanted to make Kaede sing just to embarrass her, no matter how evil it was. She needed something to laugh at, for sure. Her mom said this bar was also a roller skate bar, which means the waiters and waitresses roll around in skates! How cool! Shizuka was prepared to ask for a pair just so she could play around. This beach seemed to have everything a kid likes! And karaoke? Shizuka was a great singer. She always got lead roles in musicals and plays, so she wanted to have a little bit more fun. Stage fright wasn't a big deal, anyway. So tonight was the night to try this out. She wanted to see just how outgoing she could be. It was all very exciting, anyway. Plus, she got to get up and sing for people! Shizuka giggled and played with some bubbles, then finished washing herself off and began getting ready to leave for dinner.

Once she finished her soda and chicken fingers, Shizuka ran up to the microphone and offered her voice up for everyone to hear. She asked the DJ to play Marching On by OneRepublic so she could sing along, and the man working the music smiled nicely at her. Shizuka waved her index and middle finger together from her forehead out in a thankful salute and walked back over to the microphone. The music started playing, and Shizuka tapped her foot in beat with it. She opened up her mouth to sing at the cue and fell into the song, with a large smile on her face. Performing was so fun! Shizuka never had a problem with getting nervous either because it just didn't happen. As her hand beat against her hip, Shizuka remembered the first time she sang when she was little. She remembered how fun it was then, too. Every moment added to the excitement she had when she heard herself sing such beautiful notes. She only ever took a singing class during school, but she enjoyed it nonetheless. Sometimes, some people are just good at things. Singing was one of those things for Shizuka, and she was more than proud of it. The night went on, she had some glasses of milk because it was her favorite drink, played with some roller skates that she was allowed to use, and the Sanamizu family headed home for the day. After the song, Shizuka got a huge applause, and the bar was happy to hear her. They complimented her so much, and some people couldn't even believe she was singing. Shizuka knew it annoyed Kaede, which made this night even better. But more than anything, Shizuka was tired. Very tired. She couldn't wait to get back in order to sleep.

"I don't want to leave! I love the beach! It's so fun and it's like all of my worries are gone! Plus, Kaede doesn't fight with me." Shizuka said.

Her parents felt bad because they could only stay for a few days, but Shizuka was happy anyway that she got to go. Even if by the end of it, Kaede was complaining about how annoying everything was, with all of the sand everywhere, getting in everything... By then, Miki and Enzo just began ignoring her.

"Sweetie, you know we'll be back soon. It doesn't take long to get here. It's just a short train ride. And next time, maybe we can bring Aunt Momo?" Miki offered.

"That sounds cool. Maybe then you won't seem so bored all the time."

Enzo smiled and laughed at Shizuka, because it was apparently that she had no problem stopping herself from being bored. As outgoing as she was though, it was still hard to go around people she didn't know very well because she was so young. Yet, she had such good times around people once she got to know them better. It was always so great, especially when the attention could be put on her, but not in a bad way. She liked letting people know she was "special," for lack of better words. She smiled all the time, never sad, and looked on the bright side. Why not show people who she really is? On top of that, her parents began praising her for her improvement on her fighting. Shizuka knew at first they weren't too happy about it, but that changed after just a short while. Now, she couldn't be happier with herself. Her confidence was growing, and everything began fitting together. It was such a good time for her. Now, she just wanted to make sure it stayed that way. And, of course, she was willing to do anything to keep it.

{Chapter 9}

~ Chapter Nine: Awakening.

"I'm telling you the truth."

Shizuka stared into the red eyes of her aunt, barely believing what she just heard. Other races? She didn't trust it. Nothing Momo just said was true. There were only humans, and there always were only humans. Other races were just in scary stories! They didn't exist.

"Ha, you're joking. I'm fifteen, Aunt Momo. I'm not stupid." Shizuka sighed and turned away from her aunt. "Plus, they couldn't ever do such terrible things to people... Killing them for no reason at all? What, do they have nothing better to do in their spare time? That's not fair to anyone at all."

Momo simply closed her eyes and lowered her head, sadly. She just told her niece about the horrors of the other race that was among them. Shinigami sounded absolutely horrifying. Just the name was strange and tough to understand.

"But it's true. Not only that, I've been hurt by them before. I came close to death just because they thought I was in the way of one of their plans. Remember when I didn't visit for a while back when you were younger?" Momo touched her nieces cheek with her hand as she watched tears form in Shizuka's eyes.

"You mean... They hurt you?"

"Yes. It was frightening for me. I was in the hospital for a long amount of time, and I didn't know if I was getting out alive or not. I was confused and afraid."

Shizuka was torn. She hated knowing some stupid group of idiots even touched her precious relative. Aunt Momo had been around helping her ever since she was little, and now she realized the reason she barely saw her before a few years ago was because a bunch of "bullies" hurt her? That was the last straw. Shizuka lowered her eyebrows and scrunched her nose in anger. She told herself she'd become as strong as her aunt to make sure this never happened again. Not on her watch.

"Don't worry. She'll listen to me. I already told her about the other races. She shows more potential than anyone I've seen since you came along."

Momo spoke to someone on the other line of a cell phone. She was explaining how Shizuka was becoming stronger with each training session, and the amount of work she can take on was outstanding. However, Shizuka was needed for something important. And that's what this meeting was about.

"You're certain she has that potential? If she can't use it and you give her to me, she'll die." The voice, now apparent to be male, spoke softly into the phone.

"Relax. I gave her a present years ago, and they're the only things she wears outside of her school slippers. She looks fabulous in them, and I know she grew attached based on how much she hates all of the others."

Momo shook her head in thought. Her own niece was growing up so fast, and each passing moment had her both excited and scared for Shizuka. The best might not have been what Momo planned for her, but in the end, it was really the better choice. Shizuka was going to stray this way sooner or later, so why not push it a bit sooner? Momo just had to make sure Miki and Enzo supported Shizuka throughout training so she'd never give it up and eventually become stronger. The gymnastics-interpreted style is ever more interesting.

"If she's already attached, it should work well with her pride. But be sure. This is your last chance to let her live like a normal girl. She's still innocent. Once she's in my hands, nothing will be the same." The voice asked quietly.

"Of course. I needed your brother for the job, but he's apparently deceased now. You're the next best man I have, and I'm going to need all the help I can get. Are you up for it?"

Silence passed for a few seconds on the line.

"My brother was a genius unlike anyone else. I'll get things done, though. Send her to Karakura Public High School in Karakura Town. I'll take care of her there. You can rely on me, Miss Akashiya."

"Brilliant. I'll start you on the mission immediately. Thank you, Sasaki. Just take care of her."

Momoko Akashiya. She was so used to being called Aunt Momo that she almost forgot her full name. She saw Shizuka so often now that it was almost foreign for her. However, she didn't mind. Not when she was around her niece. She asked a tough favor of her contact to complete. Not only did he have to take in Shizuka, he had to make her activate her Fullbring. And with what little experience she has in that regard, the only way to do it is brutal. Shizuka won't die. But Momoko worried anyway. She worried for the young woman's safety. On the other hand, if it all goes right, in just a short while Shizuka will be a powerful weapon.

"A TRANSFER?!" Shizuka screamed in shock, pacing back and forth on the floor in front of her parents and Kaede.

"Shut up, idiot. I have to transfer, too. We'll be in the same school. I'm already mad about it."

Turning to her sister, Shizuka made the ugliest face she could muster up. "Shut your mouth, jerk."

Kaede ignored the comment and turned her back on her sister. Miki and Enzo smiled shyly at their daughter and apologized.

"Listen, sweetie, it'd be so much easier if you could go to high school right here in town. Even your aunt agrees with this decision. It's just that the other school is so far away, and it's difficult getting you there on time. We only want what's best, and we know you'll make wonderful friends. Won't you please do this for your father and me?"

Shizuka looked over at her parents, being angrier than she ever remembered with them. Transferring schools was almost as bad as moving completely. New friends, new people, and she already wasn't comfortable with the idea. Or even worse... She might have to sit alone at lunch... That was NOT okay! It was never okay! Besides, Shizuka was getting even more attractive now. She was beginning to reach that bit of growth in looks that every teenager has, and many people have already started to notice. But now she has to leave those people! How annoying could this possibly be?

Nothing was what she had in mind it would be. Her first day in a new school was a nightmare. Karakura Public High School? Yeah, not working for her. She had absolutely zero friends, and she really did have to sit alone at lunch. Everyone treated her like some disease they were trying to avoid, and it hurt. She'd never been treated this way before, but it was probably because she was the new kid. Even after it was all over, she was dragged away on an adventure to visit the various clubs and activities at the school in case she wanted to join one. Before all of that, Shizuka ran down to her locker and grabbed her shoes that she got from her aunt and quickly changed into them from her slippers, and put her slippers back in the locker. Now, she was pulled back into the main part of the school. Each classroom was filled with something different. Drawing, reading, acting, maybe something else, too. The gym had fencers, and luckily it was the last stop on the tour. Shizuka broke free from the girl showing her around and sat on the bleachers. She watched the kids fence and wondered sometimes how they did it. Off in a slightly tired daze, Shizuka barely even noticed the voice trying to get her attention.

"Hey! You there?"

Shizuka gave no answer.

"Hello?"

Still nothing.

"Aha... Your fly is down... You're drooling a little, too..."

"Ohmigod, wait, seriously?!"

Shizuka shot up and checked her pants, which was actually stupid because she was wearing a skirt, and therefore didn't have a zipper except on the side. And that was zipped. So she was embarrassed. With her face slightly red, she looked up to see a young boy with white hair smiling at her. He had a Bullet Bill charm hanging out from his fencing clothes, she noticed.

"Who're you?"

"Aha, sorry. I wanted your attention. What's your name?"

Shizuka blinked at the boy. "Uh, it's Shizuka Sanamizu." A bit confused, she tilted her head at him.

"I'm Kento Sasaki. Are you new here? You're kind of cute. What grade are you in? Are you considering joining our fencing team?"

"U-uhh... Well, yeah I'm new. And, um… I'm a sophomore. Uh, I might not join, but... I'm not very good at fencing." Shizuka was a bit skeptical about this kid. He was cute, sure. But she was still skeptical.

"Well, I transferred into Karakura last year too. Why don't we be friends?"

{Chapter 10}

~ Chapter Ten: Contact.

Quickly... She needed to find one quickly... She was running out of time and the feeling was getting worse. Pain was overwhelming at this point, and she had no idea where to run next. Every hall seemed too long to deal with, as if they never ended. It got worse and worse and worse. Shizuka kept running. She didn't want to stop until finally she found what she was looking for. She shoved open the door in one swift movement and traveled to the nearest stall she could find, pushed open the door to it, and paused awkwardly as she saw a familiar white-haired face look back up to her eyes.

"...Ah... Shizuka... Ahh.... This is a bad time to come get me..."

Shizuka stared for a moment, desperately trying to stop her eyes from wandering. She slowly turned around, took in her surroundings, realized she accidentally ran into the men's bathroom, and got super embarrassed.

"Ohmigosh, Kento! I'm so sorry! I had no idea and I just didn't know what to do, I mean... I just had to pee so badly and--"

Kento interrupted her. "Ahaha... Shizuka... It's really okay, I don't mind. You can go pee..." Her eyes widened.

"Oh, shoot! I'm so sorry!"

Shizuka quickly ran out of the bathroom again, sighed heavily, and entered the right one, finishing her business. Once she was done, she walked back outside and noticed Kento waiting there for her. She smiled at him, but looked to the side in embarrassment. That had never happened to her before. Of all the things that could happen, this was the WORST. POSSIBLE. THING. But she'll survive. Kento invited Shizuka up to the roof to eat their lunch together, and she happily accepted. For a few months now, Kento and Shizuka got to know each other better and become true best friends. They were inseparable outside of class, and even in class they texted each other or found some way to communicate when possible. Shizuka was just glad she finally found such a good friend in a scary new place. The very first day here for her was more than a bad dream. It was a nightmare.

Kento and Shizuka finished their lunches. Or really, Kento ate everything he had and Shizuka just picked at her food. She said something about not feeling particularly hungry, so she merely pushed it aside. After a while, Kento got up and stretched, then walked a bit away from Shizuka. She got up to follow, but stopped when she saw gloves form on his hands. Confused, she was about to ask what was going on, but felt a strange presence about Kento now. His entire being was different.

"Let me really introduce myself. As a representative of Xcution, Kento Sasaki, I'll be taking care of you starting today. Give Miss Akashiya my regards if you survive the next few minutes."

Shizuka blinked again. "Wait, what?"

As soon as she spoke, she regretted breathing out at all. A sharp pain shot from her stomach through her entire body. Kento's form appeared again, shoving his fist shoved into her just before he pushed her back with a strong force. Shizuka hit the ground hard and coughed up blood, wiping droplets from her mouth. She was startled and breathless, unable to get air in her lungs from the intense strength that knocked her down. She couldn't move, and she was frightened. In attempt to get up on her knees, Kento appeared behind her once again and slammed his elbow on the back of her head, breaking her body against the ground. Shizuka only moaned in pain, unable to speak from the aftermath of the previous attack.

"You get two options. Find your pride and your power, or die right here. That's the bet I made with your aunt."

Shizuka gasped for air, but couldn't find the strength to look at Kento's face. She held her stomach with her arm in pain and tried to make words come out of her mouth instead of just small bits of blood.

"My... aunt..?" Shizuka struggled to her feet, still holding her stomach in pain. It began fading, though not by much, but enough for her to begin moving once again. "That's a lie..."

Shizuka desperately tried to hit Kento, swinging punches or kicks or anything she could think of, but he dodged every move with ease. She felt helpless and weak and scared. She was hurt, and she was certain she would die. At least, she knew he'd kill her at this rate. It's amazing she was alive now. Kento quickly punched Shizuka's chest twice, then once in the stomach again, sending her flying backwards and down onto the ground.

"You can't beat me. Even if you unlock your power, you wouldn't be able to, right now. Though, I don't plan on letting you live if you don't unlock it."

Terror. That was all that was going through Shizuka's mind. She was terrified of him. All of the pain in her body caused by multiple hits, cuts and bruises made her adrenaline run enough that some of it was blocked now. She got up, ran towards Kento, grabbed on to his arm and flipped him over her back to the ground. Just when she thought she finally had him, he grabbed hold of her arm and flung her to his side, slamming her on her back against the cement. Shizuka tried getting up again, but Kento was already prepared. He drew his arm back as far as he could, focusing all of his strength into this move. He swung his fist towards Shizuka's solar plexus, beating her down once more as her wind was knocked out and she coughed up blood with each short gasp of air she took. The only noise able to escape her lips was moaning from the intense pain she was in.

"I don't have a problem with killing an innocent young girl. I've killed a lot of people. I even killed my brother." Kento's eyes were cold. He wasn't the same person Shizuka used to know.

After she gained back some air in her lungs, she coughed up blood and tried looking at his face. However, she coughed again and dropped her head back down. Upon seeing this, Kento realized she didn't unlock her power yet. He was failing the mission Miss Akashiya asked of him, and he became frustrated.

"I met your sister a couple of hours ago. She's really pretty. She's much more attractive than you."

That was the final hit. It didn't matter how much pain she was in. It didn't matter that she was about to die. It didn't matter that her best friend was a murderer standing right in front of her, threatening her life with his own hands. What mattered was only one thing. Shizuka knew she was prettier than her sister, and she would NEVER allow ANYONE to think Kaede was better than her!

"SAY IT AGAIN, I DARE YOU."

Shizuka stood up as straight as she could, forgetting about everything that hurt her. Bright green light enveloped Shizuka's body for just a moment, but left as quickly as it came. As it did so, she noticed she felt a bit shorter. Shizuka glanced down and saw that her favorite shoes, the ones her aunt gave her so many years ago, were gone. When she looked around her, she saw a large water gun nearby and a bucket just a little bit further away. She walked over to the gun and picked it up, looking at it strangely.

"Sweet baby angels, what the heck is this... And a bucket? What the... Where are my shoes. WHERE DID MY SHOES GO?"

Kento deactivated his power and smiled at Shizuka. "Oh, good. That worked. Alright, you can live. Let's go clean you up and we can get some soda."

Shizuka stared blankly at the boy who just tried to kill her. "Excuse me?"

Kento glanced back at her and realized what he forgot to explain. "Ahaha, sorry for hitting you earlier. To get your shoes back, just focus on the image of your shoes in your mind, and try to will that watergun and bucket to disappear."

Stare....

"I was lying earlier, by the way. You're a lot prettier than your sister. I was just trying to-AHA! I KNEW YOU'RE SHORTER THAN ME WITHOUT YOUR HEELS!"

Shizuka kept staring. He was more confusing than a menopausal woman. And she wasn't sure how to handle it.

"Wait, so you didn't want to kill me?" Shizuka asked, still under recovery from the beating she got earlier.

"Well... I wasn't trying to. But I was gonna kill you if you didn't pull out that watergun."

Shizuka paused and thought for a moment. "I'll pull out your water gun."

"Ohhhhhh yeaahhhhhh..."

The duo noticed someone walking by them. They both looked up at the same time, just when they heard someone call them weird. Shizuka and Kento laughed a bit, but Shizuka's breath caught again and she began coughing. Kento apologized for hurting her so much, but reminded her that he needed to get her to unlock her power. Shizuka had no idea why, either. Her aunt was involved somehow? Earlier, Kento had explained that she was his consultant and had been since his brother died. But it was all too confusing. Nothing seemed to make sense anymore, and all of it was just a big jumble. However, she was glad it was over. The pain faded more now, and she felt a lot better than she had before. She asked questions, and Kento gave her answers. But even after all of that was done, it was overwhelming. Kento explained that Shizuka was strong, and he knew it because he could see it in her. Xcution needed her, and it was only a matter of time before she joined anyway. So, after he spilled the beans on the whole situation, Shizuka accepted the offer to join with a smile on her face. She felt, especially after what they did to her aunt, the other race should be eliminated. And Shizuka wanted to be a part of it.

{Chapter 11}

~ Chapter Eleven: Fullbring.

Sixteen-years-old, junior in Karakura Public High School, Fullbringer. Shizuka Sanamizu was definitely not what most people would call a normal teenager, but neither was her partner, Kento Sasaki. Not only did she learn how to control her power, but she enhanced it and gained another one, as well. Sure, it meant losing her shoes and underwear, but she received a strong weapon and even some beautiful wings. The underwear, on the other hand... That'll just have to be that. Shizuka trained under her aunt's wing for a short while after learning about her powers, but was quickly sent back to Kento who helped her strengthen them once she got the basics down. After all of that, she really did became a powerful weapon. It was fun, though. She felt better somehow. She fought with her gun and wings when she needed them, but still used her gymnastics against her enemies, too. Kento taught her that she should always be on her toes, but live a good life and not let it get in the way of what she wanted to do when she got older. Shizuka knew that, but she was happy anyway. Unfortunately, she had to keep it a secret from the rest of her family, but it was fine. She had a lot of freedom at this age, and she found it easy.

Life went on much the same, anyway. She and Kento hung out all the time, making sexual innuendos when the end result always turned out to be completely innocent. They enjoyed messing with people's minds, and they went together like two halves of a whole. It was simple for them to get along. Shizuka kept remembering that day when Kento almost killed her, too. It was amazing how much she'd accomplished since then. Kento's power mixed with Shizuka's well, and they did massive damage. But she'd never have known this if he didn't push her, and she guessed she was thankful for that much. But she never wanted to go through that ever again. Though, even now, she was amazed at her improvement. It didn't even take long. Kento was a good teacher for her, and an even better partner. Even if they did play tricks on people a lot. It was their thing, though. They wanted to see people laugh or feel embarrassed. No big deal, right?

"Is he treating you well, Shizuka?" Momo asked her niece.

Shizuka grinned, and answered with a particularly happy voice. "Duh, of course he is. We're best friends, Aunt Momo. And you don't need to worry about me anymore. I'll be fine."

Momo was still a bit worried about her, though. Shizuka was young. Her powers weren't fully developed and mastered yet, but Kento's were. While he can completely take care of himself, Shizuka might not be able to yet. She was still so small and fragile, and...

"Aunt Momo, please. I'm okay, so just believe me. You taught me almost everything I know, so why worry?"

Shizuka was right. Why worry? She was tough, just like Momo hoped for. Plus, she knew how to use seduction, which is always a nice bonus when it comes to male enemies. Momo had been told that it worked more than just one time before. Shizuka, of course, was proud of that fact. A bit too proud, however. She often uses the same power at school to manipulate some of the boys to do things for her. Momo was sure Shizuka meant the best, but sometimes it turned out worse. Well, teenagers will be teenagers. No one can change that.

Sometimes, I wonder what would have happened if I never started training with Aunt Momo and met Kento afterwards. Would I have still gained these powers? Maybe they would never have awakened. It's scary, but definitely something I've thought about. It's hard not to, honestly. I'd have hated if my life turned out any different. I'm good at what I do and I'm fine with it, too. Kento's also super funny. Not to mention cute... Sometimes we indirectly flirt, but I always like it. Although, he learned his lesson after the first time that he should never choose my sister over me. I'm infinitely better, and that's just all there is to it. Aside from all of that, my techniques are insane! I can shoot any liquid I want from my gun, and my rollerblades not only make me faster, but help me fly! It's the coolest thing in the world, really. Everyone only dreams of being able to do that, but I've made it a reality. Now maybe I actually will surpass God. It's entirely likely, since it's such an easy feat. However, I'm still trying to get people to refer to me as "Your Highness." It ain't working.

Each day that passes brings something new for me. I've always tried to live life to the fullest, since Kento tells me that's the best way to do it. He warned me we'd be killing a bunch of people, but I can't ever bring myself to do it. It's always him. I suppose once there's a face on my enemy, I see them as human like myself, even though they aren't. Is that bad? Well, I don't know if it is or not, but I guess as long as the job gets done, it's not a big deal. I can fight on my own, of course. But I'd rather have Kento with me. I feel better somehow, like he'll help me if I get into a bind. That never happens, but it's just a safety thing, I suppose. Sometimes I even like to sing in front of the opponents, because for some reason it distracts them. That's always funny, too. I call it Love Charm. Once they're under my spell, it's super hard to get out of. That's when Kento and I do a combo attack. I admire him, deep down. Even if he is a year younger than me. I feel like such a sap for even recognizing that, but we're close now. I just hope it stays that way, because I couldn't imagine a better team.

{Chapter 12}

~ Chapter Twelve: Beginnings.

Well, the previous chapter ended quite nicely. Shizuka went on with her life and managed to stay happy. However, if only it really stayed that way. Shizuka went on to become a member of the Xcution Seven Guns as a Rifle. Her partnership with Kento died along with their relationship, which ended a little abruptly. Everything ends eventually, and Shizuka tried her best not to think about it. Everything was going to change for her, anyway. She grew up, now being twenty years of age, and underwent a powerful transformation in her own being. She became more mature, most of the time, and became a valuable asset to her company because of her interrogation skills. She developed quite a name for herself, but she ignored most of the rumors. She was not promiscuous, but she did not care if people saw her that way. She did what she needed to do in order to live, and that was all that mattered. Xcution even started some strange research recently with genetics and ended up making a semi-successful being from the gene splicing. They gave this creature to Shizuka so that she could train it and have it become more valuable to the company. Naming it Blaize, she agreed to be the caretaker and do whatever she could to keep it under control. The creature was actually female, and resembled a very popular and widely loved black dragon. She had extremely large wings and was very affectionate towards Shizuka, even from the start. It was exciting.

Shizuka now attends college and is studying Mechanical Engineering. When she isn’t stressing herself out over exams and other impossible work, she is still sent on missions to eliminate targets and frequently runs in to her coworkers. She learned that there are actually other races, not just humans and Shinigami, and started to wonder if her aunt was ever really telling the truth. She definitely had no reason to trust any of these other races, though. So regardless of if she was telling the truth or not, it would take someone very special to change her mind. Shizuka was still the exciting girl she always was, so she tried not to think about negative things too often. Not even the Shinigami. Besides, she was wasting time and energy on hating them so profusely. She just refused to associate with any of them if she could help it. Now, she does what she can to avoid them at all costs to resist the urge to kill them. Actually, the entire situation was pretty interesting because of how she came to dislike them in the first place. She was brainwashed, but she still doesn’t realize that to this day. Not yet, anyway. Shizuka enjoys just being herself and going about life the way she wants while also holding up her status as a top assassin.

In the years that she and Kento were apart, they did not talk much. They sent the occasional hello, maybe, but they never really found any reason to relate to each other anymore. He slowly left her life completely and she didn’t look back. She treasured her time with him immensely, but she knew it was better to move on. After that, she worked on herself and tried getting stronger on her own since she no longer worked with partners if she didn’t have to. In fact, she preferred to work alone because she hated anyone commenting on her strategy like she was doing something wrong. She was pretty nonchalant about most things, taking on a ‘to each their own’ philosophy. Most of the time, she just did her own thing and messed around to have fun. She definitely took her job seriously, as she did with anything else. It’s just that something about it changed over the years, especially with her and Kento’s separation. Still, that was years ago. She had time to move on and she did. It wasn’t a big deal anymore, and she actually liked going solo.

Shizuka visits her family every now and then, dropping in on her aunt and parents to say hello. Her sister, Kaede, took up some stupid art major thing going on in college so Shizuka knew that her life was basically out the window. She had only become more unbearable in the passing time and Shizuka found herself hating her sister more and more. It was a little sad, sure. But sometimes people just don’t get along. Her parents always loved her visits home, though, since they started becoming less frequent despite going to school in town. She felt bad, but she had no idea how to explain being an assassin to them. It would never go over well, so she kept it to herself. She and Momoko trained as much as possible, and Shizuka always tried to make a game out of it. Unfortunately, she was lazy and hardly ever liked training anymore, even if she did try to make it more fun. Actually, she started questioning her aunt about other races because she was told that Shinigami weren’t the only ones aside from humans. Momoko seemed to hate being put on the spot, but she quickly covered her tracks and explained that it was like a mutation. Shizuka wasn’t sure if she believed it, but it was all she knew. She didn’t have much else to go off of.

I don’t know. I like who I am and who I’ve become. I’ve gotten better at using my powers, of course, and I’m proud of my progress. There are a few things I’ve especially worked on, like flirting with guys or things like that. I always enjoyed it, like it was a game. Does that make me a bad person? Well, that doesn’t matter. I was so arrogant back then. So full of it. I needed to really experience the world around me, visit other countries, explore new lands. I did all of that. Blaize and I both went together as a team. Honestly, sometimes I wish things could go back to the way they were, though. High school was easy, friendships were simple, and I never had a problem. I suppose it’s better that I can’t go back to that life, though. Besides, it’s because of those experiences that I became who I am now, right? Ugh, what are all of these negative thoughts? I hate those! There’s no reason why I need to dwell on the past. It’s time to move on. I’m a better person. I’m stronger. I’m more clever. That’s what I wanted. It’s what I worked for and what I became. Besides, the new me likes taking control in all kinds of ways. What? Does that sound a little dirty? Well, I can make it a little better for you. How dirty do you want me to be?

She is also Class 0. This has been a goal of hers for many years and has an opportunity with Satsujun's passing. Her character development has also improved her overall interaction with Shinigami and other races as a whole.

  "Hebika, with Satsujun's... absence," she paused with careful consideration. She didn't want to say the real word. "I've been doing some thinking. I have a good team. You're all exceptional and I feel like you've been growing so much that you hardly need me. I wanted to be a guide for each of you, maybe even a mentor, but we're beyond that now. I think it may be time I resign as one of the Seven Guns."
  
  The Fullbringer pulled Hebika onto the couch in her family room. Large windows decorated the wall next to them and the view outside was lovely. Shizuka had gardens that she had tended to over some time with various plants, trees, and the like. A pool was in the yard that was accompanied by a pool house that could effectively function as another home with all of its bells and whistles. The woman certainly wasn't hurting for money anymore.
  
  "That being said, I want you to consider becoming one, or maybe even consider applying for a promotion in general. Your talents are wasted as a Lance. You're amazing and strong and thoughtful. You're also brilliant! You deserve more. I just need to know I have that dedication from you."
  
  Shizuka held Hebika's hands tightly in her lap. She was being genuine. She remembered the first time they met and how cute and small Hebika was as a little snake, but that wasn't who she was anymore. She had grown so much and trained enough that the Fullbringer knew there was no need to worry. Breaking that habit would be a bit difficult, but still. She was confident in Hebika's abilities and that's what mattered. Shizuka took a deep break and slowly let it out.
  
  "I want to be CEO. I have been gathering able bodies and those with incredible potential because I need to flesh out the Guns. I'll have to talk to Santa, especially since she's my Shadow, and I think Col would do well in the group. But then there's you. I can't tell you where to go or what to do and I know that, but I can encourage you. You're great, Hebika. You need to be doing a job that makes you feel as special as you are. And from there, I have a few faction confrontations I'll need to make."

• Please Don't Hate Me: Shizuka meets Celes and realizes her heart has softened when it comes to Shinigami. A positive relationship between the two of them formed which will eventually lead to Celes' Vizard development and Shizuka's attempt to recruit her.

  Mentorship?" Shizuka's eyes widened in surprise. Did she hear that correctly? "You want me to mentor you?"
  
  That was unbelievable. Shizuka hadn't actually mentored anyone, like, ever. It was a foreign concept. People worked for her and alongside her but she was never their mentor. In truth, she didn't remember a time when she was mentored, either. She simply learned how to do things on her own and gained experience. Her analytical nature made it easier for her to do all of that, so it was never a complicated process, but it never occurred to her to have a mentor. Not even Satsujun could be counted as one. Not really. Plus, given Shizuka's position... Well, it didn't leave much room for her to ask anyone to be that kind of a person to her.
  
  "I'm sorry. I'm just a little shocked, is all. No one's ever asked me that before." Shizuka blushed and fidgeted awkwardly. "If I do this for you, then you'll have to understand something. No one can ever know about it. You'll be shunned by the Gotei. You'll become a Rogue." The blonde looked up and down at Celes, essentially checking her out, though not in a sexual manner. "Although... I don't know. Being a Rogue may be a good look for you. But I think we can probably try. I may not trust your kind, but you've given me no reason to hate you. Just don't let anybody know. They're going to try to kill you the moment they find out that you're working with me."

• Hallelujah: Shizuka and Col's recruitment thread. Shizuka extends a job offer to Col, which he accepts, and she admits to him her intentions of taking over the organization. After this thread, he finds Santa and attempts to complete the request Shizuka made.

In truth I have no objection to being any of the above. However, charming you may be, I still would prefer to know some more precise details of what you would expect from me."
  
  "Fair enough," she began, taking back her hand with a kind smile. The people around them had started dissipating as their day continued, leaving Shizuka more freedom to speak. "I don't typically hide myself from the spiritual world. So where average humans may not know of me as much, people like you have heard of me. As you're probably aware, I work for Xcution as a Seven Guns member. A Rifle, in fact. Number One. I aim to take over the organization and need strong individuals such as yourself to help me. I don't plan on challenging Satsujun, because his disappearance is a mystery and he has not since turned up, though if the case calls for it, I will. What I want, though, is for you to help me attack the Squad that stole this person from me."
  
  The blonde paused for a moment, relaxing her features that she had felt tense up. Her stress was likely obvious. This subject was a bit touchy for her. Though she had since undoubtedly moved on, the pain she felt was similar to the type of feeling someone would get after coming home and seeing their house destroyed due to a robbery. She felt violated, as if her own pride and sanity were ripped out of her heart and exposed, then torn down by each individual fiber until nothing remained. She had grown and healed since that day, but she was also determined. She never wanted to feel that way again. She wanted the entire world to know that she, along with all of Xcution, were beings to be feared. But, of course, she valued friendship. She would simply leave people alone unless they gave her a reason to come after them, and she had a few in mind.

• Headhunting Zahra: Zahra's recruitment thread. Shizuka met Zahra and offered for her to join Xcution, which she accepts. This marks the first Beast-clansman to join the organization.

  Her power was strong, but slightly limited. She could throw explosions, for the most part, but could only fight full out for a short time before she tired, not even considering that her biggest attack made her a sitting duck for three posts. She knew that the woman had won, but the fact that she had caught her off guard at least once made her feel better. She slowly stood up, patting herself off to clean the dirt off her from the fall and the fight. Looking towards the woman, she started to stretch slightly. She was powerful, but definitely more experienced fighting against different things that she was.
  
  Shizuka then spoke to her, saying how she quickly learns patterns and that the offer for her to train Zahra was still open. Zahra didn't really have to think about it that hard. She could learn new techniques from this woman, maybe even discover techniques on her own that she might not even know she had at her disposal. She honestly didn't see a down side to the offer that she was giving her. She would be an idiot to say no. "I want to be strong like you. Zahra can be strong if you train her. Zahra would like to be trained by you. I accept your offer." She stands up straight, walking a little bit closer to the woman, holding her hand out to see if she would still get the glittery golden ball.

  "Personal reasons? Hmm..." Shizuka pondered for a moment as her eyes darted, getting a good look at what was around. "No, not quite. It was partially out of a desire to improve my abilities, yes. But I ended up liking my job. As for an answer, though... I haven't told anyone."
  
  And that much was true. Shizuka actually had pretty big plans for Xcution. She just needed to become the official leader first. She was working so hard towards that goal and felt like she could practically taste it. She stood up and took Hebika's hand in her own, thinking for a moment that it was odd how she never noticed the warmth before. It made sense. The gigai, in some aspects, was somewhat alive when the pill took it over. But Shizuka didn't really give it any extra thought until that moment. She almost expected Hebika to feel like a doll despite the fact that they had made physical contact before.
  
  "I'm trying to gather people. I need at least one person from every race. But it's not just about numbers or diversity. It's about being exceptional. And you, Hebika, are one of the most exceptional people I have ever met in my entire life."
  
  Shizuka smiled. Genuinely smiled. It wasn't fake, it wasn't pushed, and it wasn't a shadow of an emotion. She truly felt at ease. Hebika brought out that inner peace within the human's heart that she so longed for. It was no question. But she also knew Hebika needed to feel fulfilled. Didn't everyone? Wasn't it a part of life to feel like you contribute in some way to the world? That could have been why she was questioning it so much. But she had a purpose. It was up to her to follow along, and Shizuka certainly wasn't going to force her, but Hebika was a kind and caring soul. Maybe she would want to help.
  
  "I have ideas, you see. And I can't accomplish these without your help. But I don't just want that. I want you to be a part of my life again. I understand if it hurts... Believe me, I do. I just want you to feel as safe as you make me feel."

  Shizuka's ears twitched at the sudden sound of a voice. "That's smart. They could be stronger than me and they won't be as forgiving."
  
  "So then. I presume that I have passed your test. I do hope that I've earned a position beyond mere entry level. If possible, I would like to work with um....you. If you don't mind."
  
  Her? She wanted to work with her? That had been the first time anyone ever requested it. Shizuka didn't think she was particularly exciting to work with. Her team was focused around interrogation and all that which wasn't always super fun. Well, the Fullbringer had fun with it, but would a Hollow? She wasn't certain. But Santa was right about one thing. She passed. And she definitely deserved a spot that wasn't entry level, though what she was asking meant bumping her up quite a bit from a mere Sword. But, then again, Shizuka had to pull out some big guns just to avoid getting caught and had to surrender because she used so much energy at once. That was a pretty big deal.
  
  "If I give you the position I'm thinking about, it would mean your focus would be interrogation. That is what my Shadows and I handle. Then again, you'd also be my first Shadow."
  
  Shizuka tilted her head to the side slightly and looked up at Santa. The Hollow looked even more gigantic now than she did before. She wasn't huge by any means, but anyone taller than Shizuka made her feel small. She was an average height, after all. Not like being taller than her was hard. But anyway, when Santa saw the look in her eyes, she'd see nothing but motivation, determination, and the utmost trust. Her expression wasn't happy or sad or anything like that, but rather as if someone knew they won at a game of poker. She picked up her left arm and extended her hand as much as she could and made her offer.
  
  "Santa Ajora, I give you a seat at my right hand. You will act as my Shadow and follow my lead. I may train you and help you grow strong until the inevitable day that you join even higher Ranks than this. But if you falter, I will also not hesitate to kill you. If we have a deal, then join me. I welcome you to Xcution."

  Her questions were answered. Her anger and sadness filled her heart up until it was overflowing with absolute grief. The suffocating pain was causing her breathing to become harder, and the crying made each breath short and forced. Her mind was a complete mess, and her brain shut off any positive emotion she had ever felt in her entire life. No good memories came to her, no good feelings outweighed the bad, and nothing was going to stop her from being upset. Depression took over as the grief overcame her entire being, and everything in her world was falling apart. Tears escaped every now and then, but her expression remained the same.
  
  With her face looking dark and serious, and her stance as upright and strong as it was, any outsider may believe she had it all together. Anyone would look at her and think, "Wow. She's handling this well for just finding out about his death." They would be wrong, though. Her heart was torn to pieces within her and nothing was going to mend that any time soon. The pain from that alone was unbearable and she had no idea how she was ever going to heal from this. People lost loved ones all the time and got over it, right? You always miss them, but they healed. Right? Shizuka was going to heal, too. She had to.
  
  But not today. Not right now. Not in the next week or month or maybe even year. She wasn't going to heal until she got her revenge, and she was going to make sure these Shinigami paid for what they did to Kento. They were going to regret the day they ever crossed his path, because that meant they were going to be forced to arrive at Shizuka's dead end. There would be nowhere else for them to turn and no one else they could go to for help. Even if the exact person who murdered Kento was already dead, that didn't matter to her. All that mattered was seeing their bodies mutilated and destroyed before her and by her own hand. If Douma was so willing to help, that was his choice.
  
  Clenching her fists together, Shizuka presented herself before Douma. She stood tall and confident despite the fact that she was fragile and broken inside. No smile crossed her face, no tears betrayed her eyes anymore. What Douma would see wasn't the Fullbringer who he knew and fought. She wasn't the simple girl sent on a mission with her friend to collect information. She wasn't an average human trying to make it in a traitorous world. She was an assassin, bred and trained for moments like these where she knew she was going to need every ounce of her strength to take out an entire Squad. He saw his new partner. And with every last bit of power she had left in her voice, she spoke to him.
  
  "They do now."
