-Basic Information-
Name: Celes Shindazu
Age of Death: 27
Real Age/Age of Appearance: 35/27
Birthday (Month/Day): February 7
Blood Type: AB+
RP Sample (Optional): [Insert Here]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Appearance-
Height/Weight: 5'7"/122 lb
Physical Description: Celes takes the appearance of a woman of around age 27. This is the age at which she passed. Stands at 5'7" and clocks in at around 122 lb. Her build looks rather frail. She does not look anorexic by any stretch, but her build and height make her look unhealthy. She has honey blonde hair that sinks down to her upper back. She normally keeps it tied back in situations involving combat. She normally wears the typical shinigami clothing, yet she decides to wear a variant with a blood red color. On a few occasions, she enjoys wearing clothing that looks similar to clothing that an Arrancar would wear. She is extremely pale, borderline white as snow. Her cheekbones sink into her face a little to further add to that look.
Celes is somewhat well endowed. She is nowhere near Rangiku however. She keeps a rather modest look, remaining rather...covered up. This pertains primarily to her cuts and bruises as she really hates those to be seen. This is why she keeps herself covered up for the most part. She wears the bandages to cover the lacerations. The lacerations themselves aren't too deep. The bandages are generally not too visible until her sleeves move up. For this reason, she has taken to wear garbs with longer sleeves. Her lacerations have become a symbol of weakness and she is somewhat fearful of them.
Unknown to most, Celes' body is riddled with cuts and bruises that for some reason won't go away, especially the cuts. Her complexion along with her hair color has been commented as beautiful, yet she disregards it with the number of cuts she has. Her eyes have a faded blue color and she typically wears eyeliner casually. Other forms of makeup are completely disregarded by her in every sense of the word. On occasion, she does enjoy throwing on some black lipstick. She genuinely dislikes any form extra makeup. Part of this reason is that she dislikes wearing a mask. Although there is contradiction due to the whole covering up portion.
The aforementioned cuts and bruises are normally covered by bandages that Celes herself makes. The bandages aren't too think, but are visible most of the time, depending on the type of clothing that she is wearing. These bandages reside mostly on her legs and back. She often grips these locations out of instinct. Celes makes these bandages out of whatever materials she can find. Celes does spend some of her free-time creating bandages and cycling them out regularly. She has this odd feeling that they may infect, although she is not sure that it is entirely possible. She is not the one to take any chances whatsoever so she simply decides to do it anyway.
Celes' clothing is generally a blood-red variant of the typical shinigami clothing. She will sometimes opt for more traditional clothing in regards to the typical black color of the garbs. Above all else, she walks barefoot and this is something she never deviates from. The ground could be layered with spikes and she would still walk barefoot, unfazed by the danger ahead. Over time, her clothing became more and more tattered as fights went on. She enjoys going out and getting new clothing for more casual occasions and will wear anything from scarfs to simple clothing. When tattered, she will wear her clothing still as long as it does not reveal her too much. Especially her bruises in particular. She fears the knowledge of people finding out about them. In rare cases, she will let people know about them to help avoid the constant stress.
Celes is often mocked for her small hands and somewhat short limbs. She uses this, however, for extraordinary agility. Her limbs, however, do stop her from doing basic tasks, like getting that carton of milk from the very top shelf. She hates to wear gloves or any form of a hat. The only form of supplementary clothing she has no issue with scarfs. She enjoys wearing scarfs of a red or black color. Sometimes she will settle for teal. Her choice of clothing is very reminiscent of her time in Russia. The era of the Soviet Union was a harsh one and she always had to be careful about what she wears. Her time in the Soul Society has thankfully dampened her fears of the Soviet Union. Now and then, she will wear an Ushanka simply for old times sake.
When utilizing her Hollow powers, Celes undergoes drastic changes. This all starts with her hollow mask. Her hollow mask is a dull white color reminiscent of the typical bonelike color and structure of most hollow masks. The mask itself covers the entire front of her face. The eyes are slit horizontally as blood-red lines extend diagonally outward. From the front, everything is covered except for her neck. The mask does a decent job in somewhat covering the side of her face, but not by a lot. The mask itself takes a rather similar look so Ichigo's in terms of the eyes and visage, but the general look and feel of the mask represent more along the lines of grace and elegance.
On top of that, her clothing becomes more tattered than normal. Her skin becomes darker, looking more like typical human skin. Her eyes can be seen through the mask quite easily. During Hollowfication, her eyes take on a deep emerald green. While in her undergoing Hollowfication, her spirit feels much more chaotic. If seen from the side of the mask, Celes appears to still have that same genuine smile she normally does. She does become more chaotic as a result of her ressurection, but nothing, not even Yukito, can stop her from truly caring and protecting her friends.
Celes normally wears a belt with a place for her Zanpakutou. The belt itself resides around her waist. The belt is brown in color and extends perfectly around her waist. The belt itself acts as a kind of hilt for her Zanpakutou as she has little trouble removing it from the confines of the belt. The belt serves mostly as a tool to keep her Zanpakutou not only hiding under her robes but not have it in the way. While the belt itself is no utility belt, it is rather large and somewhat heavy. Years of carrying it around, however, has made Celes accustomed to the overall weight of carrying it around every single day. Most of the time, however, she still tends to find people ask why she has it.
Celes' hollow is Yukito. This hollow has pale skin and black ruffled up hair. He always wears a black cloak and scarf. Yukito surprisingly has white sclera and blue pupils. Yukito often wears a black variant of whatever clothing Celes is wearing. This is to attempt and remain distant from Celes. Even as a hollow, Yukito is rather well built. Both Celes and Yunorashi are surprised at Yukito being a male hollow, although to be fair, Celes has never really noticed any "gender" among hollows. This comes from her lack of experience in the subject as she has rarely seen hollows and quite frankly, does not particularly want to see more. It is a tribute to her choice to remain nonviolent until release that is.
Yukito is a 5'10 male with a vicious smile. He has a fair build, not too big and not skinny either. Yukito himself is an embodiment of Celes' entropy. To that end, he dresses in a black robe. One could go as far and say that Yukito himself looks rather chaotic unlike Yunorashi who acts childish, but is rather prim and proper. Yukito has in the past described himself as the chaos that lives in people's souls. He is an embodiment of Celes' internal struggle of balancing her sweet and caring side with the malevolence that lies in all of us. Like the case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Celes is fearful of Yukito. While she has not yet met him and quite frankly is not aware of his existence, she knows there to be something sinister lying in her, although she presumes it simply is a phase.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Personality-
Dislikes
Yukito - Celes can tend to dislike Yukito. This is in part due to his manipulative attitude towards her friends and as established before, she would do anything to help her friends. The times that she has met him, it was very begrudgingly as she prefers Yunorashi much more over Yukito. It may the general nicety and kindness that Yunorashi shows her. On top of this, Celes in general just has a generally negative attitude of hollows.
Pessimism - Celes hates most forms of pessimism for the fact that it detracts from others optimism. Due to this, she will do most things in her power to try and make others happy. When she does try to help and ends up annoying others, she blames pessimism as the main cause of their blight and grief. If there is one thing she would do in a heartbeat, its try and rid the world of pessimism. This is slightly hypocritical though since she can be pessimistic.
Lack of responsibility - Celes despises those that don't take responsibility for their own actions. In layman's terms, she doesn't like people who don't show guilt or remorse. Celes will lash out at others if they show no remorse. Much more than that, it has given her the thought of outright killing since she thinks that nobody with such an arrogant view deserves to breathe. She spits herself for this believe since she always tries to be tolerant.
Hollows - Celes considers hollows the lowest lifeform possible. This is due to their chaotic nature, but Celes is a bit hypocritical here. It was a hollow that instilled her with fear when she first saw it, but as time grew on in her career as a Soul Reaper, she grew a despising attitude towards Hollows which is rather surprising since she has rather high tolerance towards most forms of life. Then again, she dislikes Yukito.
Arrancar - Her bias extends even more to Arrancar. She does admire them somewhat for their will to survive, but the reason she dislikes them is due to their general attitude. To speak to that even more, she just generally dislikes any form of chaotic lifeform be it hollows or Arrancar. In her eyes, its basically the same thing. She does, however, feel a degree of sympathy for their condition and sometimes hopes that she can get over this dislike.
Pain - This dislike more pertains to those she cares about. She hates seeing them in pain and on rare occasions, will abandon others to protect the hurt and innocent. The regrettable thing is that she herself does not care about her own pain. While she dislikes any form, even her own, she will consider herself lesser than anyone she can protect. This gives her an attitude much like a caring mother which ultimately is what she acts like.
Soul Reapers - When being outcast, most Soul Reapers turned their back on her. This filled Celes with great spite towards most Soul Reapers. She will actively ignore them. It was not always so as some of her companions were Soul Reapers yet she sees little reason to truly like them with their general attitude to her. She will avoid them in person whenever possible as she is slightly scared of any hostile conflict.
Death - In her sane form, Celes despises death. The death of both her sister and her mother hit her very hard and she longs for them to come back sometimes. She realizes that they will never come back, but she hopes at times. Death itself is just a rather finicky topic for her since it was also a car that killed her in the first place. She spites herself since she should have known about those drunk drivers in Russia.
Blood - Celes has a slight dislike of blood. Perhaps it simply comes from her cuts or maybe the remembrance of the blood-stained snow when her sister died. She is not sure herself, all she knows is that she has a dislike of blood. If someone or something is bleeding, she will help it begrudgingly since she knows that she has to help others. All she knows is that if blood is present, she will avoid it whenever possible.
Loud Noise - Celes is rather indifferent to any forms of loud noise. She does dislike them, however, and will avoid them whenever possible. She has been known to lash out at those that purposely annoy her by making loud noises. It is quite frankly a pet peeve of hers. Most of all, she freezes up when she hears a car horn due to her death being for a car accident. She hopes she can get over that dislike one day.
Likes
Animals - Celes loves animals, especially cats. She holds them very dear and will stop to pet animals whenever possible. Furthermore, she adores going to the human realm to see animals. Thankfully she does not stop fighting simply because a cat is walking by. Very casually, however, she will follow cats and try to pet them even when they walk away. To that end, she has the potential to be quite the airhead.
Drawing - Celes enjoys drawing in her free-time. She does not enjoy a particular kind of art style, but will actively experiment whenever she has a chance. Drawing is a personal favorite of hers. She does not know what it is, but she is particularly drawn to drawing anything. Above all else, she likes general depictions of chaos. This goes against her personality, but she has always found something so interesting about chaos.
Entropy - Much unlike her nature, Celes finds joy in entropy. She finds something so interesting about how people can change intentions and cause strife on a whim. This is a tribute to her power. The balance between both order and chaos roams back to ancient times past. Celes presumes that this may be due her dealings in the Soviet Union. Order was a novelty and not very common so she finds interest in chaos.
Friendship - Like any Disney movie, Celes preaches on the concept of friendship. She finds the bond it can create to be meaningful. This is why she trusts those she cares about heavily. This goes back to her days when she was living. Her sister was always a good friend to her just as much as she was a spectacular guardian to Celes. To honor her memory, Celes aims to protect those that she can and establish friendship wherever possible.
Optimism - Tying in with the above point, Celes has a deep and fond love of optimism. In essence, she is happy most of the time, although she tends to hide pessimism under a mask of optimism. She dislikes her own optimism and instead aims to ensure that she is always optimistic. This does become somewhat of an issue when she begins to find interest in chaos. It goes against the very nature of optimism, but she tries to balance the two.
Yunorashi - As the calm Zanpakutou spirit, Celes finds joy in the company of Yunorashi. She sees Yunorashi as much more than a companion. To her, Yunorashi is a part of her and as such is practically family. Yunorashi herself much to Celes' happiness, tends to enjoy talking to Celes ever since they made contact. As a mentor, Yunorashi provides Celes with much wisdom and she is ever thankful to know her.
Companionship - Along the lines of friendship, Celes enjoys the feeling of camaraderie. She feels that people she can trust, she can vent out on and she never feels anything other than safe around her comrades. This extends mostly to her squad as she barely dislikes anyone whom she ever meets although the same cannot necessarily be said the other way around. Alas, she enjoys the sense of being companions with most.
Corruption - To add to her adoration for chaos, Celes has a sense interest in corruption. She finds it fascinating just how quickly it can take hold and turn others against one another. Is it the quite the fascinating hobby of hers to look at history and point out times at which either chaos or corruption has reigned. Part of this much like entropy may be her time in the Soviet Union being a volatile and prime time for the corrupt to take power.
Souls - To elaborate, Celes finds herself to like souls such as Pluses. They have a generally melancholy attitude which sometimes makes her sad, but it makes her happy to be able to send them to the Soul Society. To her, it is the greatest gift she can give anyone. Part of this is that she dislikes hollows and tries to find ways of mitigating the number of hollows that have the potential to form by not letting their emotions consume them.
Leadership - Celes respects and honors strong leadership. It is a defining quality that she deems necessary for every group to have. Although she is the submissive type, she does enjoy calling the shots at times. Although it is extremely rare to her general timid nature. While it is a gripe of her, she does enjoy watching others be invigorated by the actions or even speeches of others. To her, it's a grand event to watch.
Flaws
Airheaded - Celes can be quite...oblivious to her surroundings. Furthermore, she isn't necessarily the brightest when it comes to complex terms. She tries her best to learn, but it often creates issues in terms of both command and following orders. As mentioned before, she respects leadership, but can have a horrible time actually following directions. It is a simple yet devious flaw that has gotten her into some trouble in the past.
Trust - Celes' deep sense of trust is a double-edged sword. She trusts people with her life and is easily persuaded. On another end, she can be backstabbed incredibly easily. For some reason, she never learns just how untrustworthy some people can be. It does pain her somewhat that people would go behind her back. To put it bluntly, trust is Celes' Achilles heel and she will unconditionally trust most until the give her reason not to trust them.
Violence - Celes is not a very violent person. This is why she uses her ability to incite strife to have others fight each other. While she dislikes violence, she will commit to it if people she cares about are in danger. It also comes down to how much danger she is in. She does not stray away from violence while in her release which helps mitigate this issue, but then, on the other hand, she does become chaotic so either way, she can either be timid and nonviolent or violent yet volatile.
Insecure - Celes can be incredibly insecure. She will avoid eye-contact and some contact in general out of fear of being judged. Much like her airhead personality, this makes her lacking in the following orders department at times. It is a fault she tries to work on. Insecurity is a reason that she can be self-depreciative. She does not consider herself to be beautiful or skilled at anything and she is rather dismissive to most positive comments direct at her.
Paranoid - Celes can be incredibly paranoid to a fault. As her trust diminishes she herself can become slightly erratic about the intentions of others. Regaining her trust and then breaking it again sends her deeper and deeper into paranoia. She has a small habit of looking over her shoulder as a result of this. It does not harm her directly in any way, but it can be very mentally debilitating to think that someone's intentions are not pure.
Habits
Writing - To cope with stress, Celes has a habit of writing down the encounter as best as she can from memory after it has happened. This is to remind herself to never have something this happen again. It relates to her paranoia of encountering a situation in which she does not remember how to react to it. She writes into her notebook whenever she has time. Her writing can sometimes get in the way of her actions and she has been faulted for it.
Talking to Herself - Celes has a tendency to speak to herself in situations. She sometimes does this in tandem with her writing. Most of the time, these two events remain exclusive. In the case that she can't write, she will simply begin commenting on the situation to herself. This can sometimes be assumed that she is talking to someone else in which case she will stare into blank space which is reminiscent of her airheaded attitude at times.
Looking at her Zanpakutou - Celes can be a little odd in this regard. She really cares for Yunorashi and as such seeks to inspect the Zanpakutou itself often. To do this she goes into the position of very reminiscent of Jinzen. For this, however, she does not go into any otherworldly or otherwise meditative state and instead simply looks at Yunorashi for any blemishes. One could consider her a neat freak in this regard.
Smiling - Celes oftentimes has an unnecessary need to smile. She feels that it can help establish relationships better if you smile at people you meet. This is to an extent silly, but she noticed that she gets much more positive reactions from people when she actually smiles at them prematurely. Perhaps it is her positive attitude that generally has her make friends easily, but she attributes it mostly to smiling. Smiling also extends life apparently, but in her case, it's not all too relevant.
Being Early - Celes has a compulsive habit of wanting to be early. She does not believe in the idea of being "fashionably" late. To her late is late and she will fault anyone who is late to any event. Once again, there is some hypocrisy behind as she herself can have a habit of being late. Regrettably, it can make her very annoying and somewhat unapproachable when she begins to fume. Alas, she only means well.
Fears
Losing Herself - Her use of entropy has left Celes scared of losing herself to insanity. It grips her with fear to think that one day she may succumb to the depths of insanity herself. While she admires the entropic, the realizes the danger that it can provide to her and she fears every waking moment because of it. While she lives for entropy, she fears its ability to consume even the most courageous of souls.
Yukito - Celes deeply fears Yukito and what he can do. He has lashed at her before and with malefic intent. This has etched itself deep into Celes' psyche and has become a deep fear of hers. A primary issue that accompanies this is that Celes is very wary of Yukito. As a hollow and even more so as a hollow within Celes, he can have a profound impact on her personality. Whenever she has to meet or speak with him, she can be filled with immense dread. In fact, his closeness causes a chill to run up her spine.
Cuts - Celes' cuts are a fear of hers. Not so much the presence of the cuts, but more about people looking at her any differently because of them. She has the capacity to explain their origin, but she sometimes stalls out of fear of being judged. This is another true fear of hers that runs along with insecurity. Scrutiny and criticism is something that she has trouble taken. Perhaps she feels like she needs to prove herself, but she does not quite know herself.
Being Judged - Celes suffers from several social fears, yet her most prominent is her fear of being judged. Perhaps it lies in her sister always being nonjudgemental. She tries to get through times when she is ruthlessly judged, but then she has a habit of breaking down. To that end, she can tend to break down into a crying mess or even a manifestation of her chaotic self. It can depend on the situation, although more often than not, she just ends up crying.
Goals
Protection - Above all else, Celes simply wants to protect those she cares about. She has gone into frenzies before when a friend of hers was injured, but this is exceedingly rare. It lies more within her to simply care for those that have been hurt. By default, she will resort to any measures to make sure that those she cares about don't suffer. Above that, she does not care about her own safety if it means she can help someone else.
Self-Improvement - Celes seeks to master her own abilities so that she can hold her own. She fears Yukito, but knows that he is a powerful ally. This is why she sought to tame Yukito, make him see it her way. To this end, she seeks to improve herself and protect everyone she can. Yukito's adversary is to be expected and because of this, Celes knows she can employ the help of Yunorashi in training herself to be better.
Finding Heyori - Even though Celes never became a Hollow out of grief, she still holds a deep love for Heyori and seeks to find her one day. It is one of her more noble goals, to be reunited with Heyori. Years before Heyori's death, she promised Celes that she'd always be with her. Sometimes Celes wonders whether she meant also in death, but that is beside the point. If there is one thing Celes wants above all else, it is to find Heyori again.
Establish Peace - If there is another thing that Celes holds very dear it is peace. She hates the warring that the Soul Society and Las Noches undergo. So much death and construction for nothing. Despite her admiration for the chaos, it can make her sick to the stomach to hear of the horrific deaths that occur. Her goal is to someday establish a bridge between both the Arrancars and Soul Society, yet Celes herself sometimes questions whether it is truly possible.
Alignment: Lawful Neutral/Chaotic Neutral (Bankai)
Overall Personality
Celes has a rather carefree and sweet personality. She cares for others deeply and will go out of her way to make them happy. This can range from giving them a gift to spending time with them. Celes doesn't care what it takes as long as he friends end up happy. This does create a sense of naivety on Celes' part as she has a difficult time differentiating from what should be feared and what should be cared for. This can make her rather gullible to most forms of deception, but it also adds to her sentimentality.
Celes deeply enjoys any form of compassion that is shown to her. She considers compassion a virtue that everybody should follow. She becomes very demoralized when somebody doesn't return any sentiments of compassion. In this sense, Celes hates nihilism as well as pessimism. Generally, in her free time, she will dedicate whatever she can to make other feel compassionate. This has generated a form of disdain towards her in the past as she can be rather annoying. She does have the best intentions for everyone most of the time. She, however, does not respond well to stress nor does she do well in situations in which she is backstabbed.
Celes enjoys drawing in her free-time as well. This amounts to her compassionate side as she will normally do things for others above her own needs. If she needs to take the time and spend all day and night on something for a friend, she will do it without hesitation. This makes her rather self-depreciating and somewhat dissatisfied with not only her own abilities but somewhat envious of those who care about themselves. This general lack of care for her own safety has created serious issues in the past when she would choose not to attack due to the notion of not wanting to hurt any form of life.
Despite her outward enjoyment of optimism and friendship, Celes has a secret enjoyment of Entropy. She simply finds something so incredible about entropy. Her desire to protect her friends, while making her naive and uninterested in her own safety, makes her cheerful and a pleasantry to be around. She becomes excited and continues to fight with a purpose when protecting her friends. Her abilities, however, do sometimes upset her when she has the potential to hurt someone she cares about. Supplementing this is her gradual shift to chaos as she begins to become consumed by entropic thoughts.
She also has a deep enjoyment and soft spot for animals. So much so, that she can become mesmerized if her opponent has some form of animal trait or transformation. This sudden lack of attention can at times make her a liability as she is rather airheaded. She understands the concept of protection naturally, however, and will not kill unless necessary. It is one her virtues that all life must be respected unless her friends are in danger. It is when her friends are in danger, that a soft spot is lost for whoever is threatening them. In that case, Celes is never shy of drawing blood. She does not enjoy seeing death, however, she sometimes sees it as a necessary evil.
Within Celes, lies a more twisted sense of friendship and protection. This comes in the form of Celes' Hollow. The Hollow's name is Yukito. This is a male hollow. Yukito isn't sadistic by any means, but he has a twisted form of friendship that differs heavily from Celes. Among all else, Yukito sees others as a means to an end. He cares little for them as people, but more as tools to use for later. This directly conflicts with Celes. Celes has had times in which she went off on his general lack of care for anything. Celes hates to see others get hurt simply to get hurt. Yukito, meanwhile, has a very little qualm about actually hurting or using anyone.
More often than not, Yukito will yell at Celes for most things. He considers Celes too forgiving and will usually spring into action for his own survival. While he can be friendly, he can be vicious and conniving. For this reason, Celes has become somewhat hesitant to call upon his power as she fears the potential danger of having him roam around free. Yukito himself is somewhat like White. He will choose to help Celes if the lack of help results in his own destruction. This makes him very cynical and rather indifferent as long as it does not harm his own safety. In those cases that it does, he has a tendency to protect Celes indirectly or in fact, possess her to simply fight for her.
Yukito is most recognizable by his smile. It is a combination of a good-hearted smile and one of the psychotic intentions. Celes has a shiver go down her spine whenever she sees it because she simply cannot stand it. The two are at odds at times, but recognize when they must work together. Most of the time this results in Yukito taking over and running in. Yukito is a hollow who quite frankly is impatient. He does not like waiting for openings and will instead be hyper-aggressive, using Celes' abilities to downright devastating effect. He is deadly proficient with both her abilities and Yunorashi. This has, however, instilled a sense of arrogance into Celes that is rather hard to keep down.
When Yukito takes control of Celes' body, her personality twists to his. This is mostly characterized by Yukito's desire to keep her friends alive as resources. Because of this, Yukito has a very little quarrel in killing others if it means their safety. Yukito does enjoy a good fight against an equal. This is a sense of pride that he has over Celes. Celes has felt prideful in the past as Yukito was influencing her own opinion. Celes can sometimes feel the pulling of her own personality as it began to mix with Yukito's. Sometimes she can feel her own sanity waning and slip away as Yukito's personality begins to twist her own. To Celes it is a perversion of her sense of free will and she tries to stay as strong-willed as she can to resist.
Yukito marvels at his own ability. He emphasizes a deep hatred for Yunorashi. This is mostly due to a similar carefree nature. Yukito doesn't mind Celes as much because he can influence her easily yet Yunorashi is a voice of reason to Celes. This normally stops Yukito from influencing Celes completely as Celes sometimes shuts them both out as a result. Furthermore, Yukito hates the calm nature of Yunorashi and often has short scuffles with her. Yukito above all else is envious of Yunorashi. As the Zanpakutou spirit, Yunorashi has a constant connection to Celes, both physically and mentally. While Yukito has the same connection, it is not nearly as well received nor is it anywhere near as strong. The times that he is unleashed are the few joys of his existence.
Her outcast from the Soul Society literally broke Celes. It shattered every conceivable notion she had about trust. Her personality began to warp, becoming closer to Yukito's. Celes began to talk back more and as she grew deeper into the pit of despair, she simply lost it. Becoming much more chaotic, she became somewhat unfeeling and shut out to any form of help. Perhaps it was the psychological torment from Yukito or perhaps even the emotional trauma of being cast out, but she traded in her morals for something much greater. The ability to not feel made her ruthless.
Being cast out even changed Yukito's attitude. He became much more attached to Celes as time went on. Attached in both good and bad ways. He began caring slightly more and actually advising Celes more than before. On the other hand, it opened the door for Yukito to corrode her mind even more. His attitude may have changed, but intentions will always remain. His malefic intent to completely corrupt Celes is one that he may never give up. Alas, Celes holds on to the threads of her sanity and tries to contend with all that has happened. She simply became uncaring, much like a nihilist. While never becoming evil, she migrated to a more solemn and quiet type.

-Powers-
Fighting Style
Let's establish something here, Celes does not enjoy fighting without a cause. Self-defense is ok, but she does enjoy inflicting pain upon others unless absolutely required. This would be in one of her companions/friends are in danger or if anything poses any form of threat to herself. To put it bluntly, while she is not a pacifist, she will not purposely inflict pain unless her back is against the wall. This does, however, change when Yukito becomes involved or her Shikai/Bankai is released as it draws her closer and closer to a dangerous personality of chaotic intent.
Celes uses a fighting style depending on the first major factor, is she armed or unarmed. As a resident of the Soviet Union and even past that when she became a Shinigami, Celes is proficient at two forms of martial arts. These two that she practices are Sambo and Systema which originate in the Soviet Union and even into the era of the Russian Federation. She became adept at these as she tried to be there for her sister. She felt that she had a duty to her sister although she was older. This produced a deep devotion to learn ways to defend herself so that she may, in turn, help her sister if she ever got into trouble. Regrettably, her death sent Celes into a period of depression in which she hadn't honed both of these martial arts, but old habits die hard as she is becoming more and more proficient at them once more.
The first form of unarmed combat she learned is known as Sambo whose Russian name, "SAMozashchita Bez Oruzhiya" which roughly translates to "self-defense without weapons". By using grappling and quick strikes, Celes focuses primarily on an offense. Furthermore, she also relies on kicks and elbows to deliver strikes. Most importantly, Celes focuses primarily on striking parts of the body such as pressure points. Her aim is simply to release muscles and hit anything from pressure points to nerve bundles to debilitate body parts of the opponent. By grappling, she simply directs the flow of battle in the way she sees fit, allowing her to pull off interesting strings of unarmed strikes. To further add to her unarmed combat, Celes has learned a Russian martial art known as Systema. Systema heavily relies on fluid body motions along with breathing and a calm state of mind. With this martial art, Celes has learned how to use an attackers movements and her motions against them which plays largely into her sealed form of fighting as well as general unarmed fighting. Learning Systema has given her a greater perception of her own body and muscles. Much like Sambo, Systema relies on grappling and strikes to nerves to debilitate the opponent. Celes can do this to great effect with or without a weapon.
There was always one aspect of Systema that Celes picked up fairly quickly. That was the application of blades. Celes is proficient with most forms of blades, especially knives. She has some knowledge of major and minor arteries that can cause minor to severe bleeding if cut. She uses this to not only debilitate opponents, but to whittle them down using strikes and cuts to render their limbs useless. In this sense, Celes can be an extremely potent fighter. While this does not tie into swords as much, Celes can uses aspects of Syetma with Yunorashi.
The only form of combat that Celes does not like are the use of firearms. She considers them to be a way of cowardice. While the range and speed of a firearm outmatch any normal sword, she has a sense of honor that she employs. Naturally, she does not use firearms as a Soul Reaper, but she has never used firearms in her life due to her disgust for them. Meeting users of firearms, however, can cause her to go ballistic and it is not always a pretty sight of what kind of pain she can put them through. In that sense, Celes can be a sadist when encountering firearms.
Now comes one of the most important aspects of Celes' fighting style, her armed combat. While she herself is proficient at armed combat, she relies on Yunorashi, her Zanpakutou, as a primary means of fighting. While sealed, Celes' fighting style remains to be rather passive. What I mean to say is that she will rarely make a first move in combat or in exchanges. Her preferred method is to simply to wait for an enemy attack and then respond according to with a dodge or parry even in some situations. Much like a fencer, she waits for the opportune moment.
By no means does this mean that Celes will not make an attack if she does not see an opening. On the contrary, an opening to her is like an invitation and she takes it gladly. She will not kill normally, but only seek to injure. This can be striking arteries to induce bleeding such as above the eyes to obscure vision. Her aim is not to kill, but simply debilitate her opponent. As a matter of fact, by default, she actually does not like killing. She finds all life to have some form of meaning and while she does have belief in morality, she understands that some are forced into situations of violence.
This does, however, change if a friend is in danger. This is where Celes' violent side begins to show. She values her friends and camaraderie, but if there is one thing she cannot possibly stand is when her friends get hurt. To put it simply, Celes turns extremely sadistic and violent if her friends are hurt. In essence, she will have no quarrel about severely injuring or even in rare situations killing those that mean to harm her friends. To her, those that have little respect for the life of those around her deserve severe punishment and she has no issue raining that punishment upon their body.
Despite this, however, Celes truly is a kind soul and quite frankly, her blade is always there to protect those she cares about. Generally, Celes will be there to defend those that need help. She will be there to take a hit from them if it were to endanger a mortally wounded teammate. She has even been known to carry others to safety before going crazy on those that hurt them in the first place. This is what her service and blade is for, the protect those she cares about and anybody to even dare infringe upon that desire, will have to pay a contract in blood.
Now let's get in Celes' Shikai fighting. Celes has a Shikai that has the power to debilitate others so that she may cast a deciding blow upon them. This is an important part of her fighting style although it is a two-part process. Celes uses her techniques as a supplementary form of fighting. Her power is in essence, attrition warfare. She will begin to whittle down all their resources such as stamina and reaitsu so that she may cut through them easily with her blade. Celes' fighting style changes drastically from her sealed fighting style.
To start with, Celes adapts a berserker form of fighting much like Guts from Beserker. Then again this is because Yunorashi becomes an impressive greatsword. This allows Celes to act much more aggressive when she releases. While yes, it is true that her techniques while in Shikai do not inflict true physical damage, she believes it is her blade that has the capability to severely injure others. When using her Shikai, she relies on heavy strikes that cleave. She will try and hit someone as much as possible and then attack with a deciding blow such as a skewer which she has been known to do in desperate times.
To highlight an earlier fact, Celes uses the cut off of her opponent's resources to allow them with little chance of retaliating. This is where a part of Celes' sadistic personality shows. She believes that there is no fairness in war, only victory and her sense of honor and justice begin to wane the longer she is in release. To begin with, she will begin to focus on demolishing both stamina and reaitsu of the other by trying to force the flow of combat in a way that she deems fit. This relies on using certain strikes to have the opponent expend as many of their resources as possible along with using her own techniques to supplement this lack of resources.
If an opponent runs out of resources, Celes will begin to take full advantage of this. Her attacks will become much more fierce and to an extent, she will strike with much more killing intent. It is this that defines her combat with her Shikai. While yes, it is incredibly ruthless, her power relies on chaos. Chaos sees no equality nor does it see fairness. Chaos is a single entity that thrives on the misfortune of others and Celes feeds this idea with her fighting style. Those with no resources, cut off from the rest of their teammates are easy picks for injuring. She fights this way no matter if her friends are in danger or not.
This brings into the next fighting style involving her release state, Bankai. While in Bankai, Celes strays away from the pure aggression of her Shikai, but she is still extremely ruthless while fighting. If her Shikai relied on resource destruction, her Bankai is pure chaotic destruction on the physical plane. Celes simply uses her techniques and interweaves them into sword strikes to uses her techniques to their fullest. For one thing, Celes can seal the formation of reaitsu for specific techniques to not allow opponents to use a specific technique. This allows her to act even more aggressive.
Celes' Bankai releases a long-buried aspect of her. The death of her sister left Celes in shambles and she has buried it under a layer of hope and optimism. Her Bankai, however, releases this chaos buried deep inside of her, not only in her techniques, but her style of fighting. Not only does she become much more aggressive the longer she in Bankai, she becomes more chaotic in nature. This is when her feelings of honor and friendship actually become more and more obsolete. While she does not attack a companion, she will do what she can to utterly destroy others. This is frightening part of her Bankai.
As Kyouki-Yunorashi becomes a much longer Katana, Celes has much more reach with her Bankai than with her other combat styles, except for her resurrection maybe. Celes uses the ring at the bottom of Kyouki-Yunorashi to catch blades and redirects them. This is reminiscent of her Systema method of fighting. She relies on controlling the flow of battle through ruthless fighting and a bit of tactician to make her opponent move how she wants them to move. She becomes much more prone to make the first move, however, and will most of the time not wait for her opponent, but instead push them into a corner.
Celes has a cloth on the end of the ring on the hilt of Kyouki-Yunorashi. This cloth is mainly used to clean cuts or bandage wounds. It is a part of her Bankai and as such, it is refreshed, whenever, her Bankai is refreshed. This is the last layer of compassion that Celes shows. While yes, she does become extremely violent, she is not without compassion. Her friends are important to her and this has been ingrained in her mind that not even the deep reaches of chaos can cloud that from her. Her other valiant actions, however, are rarely performed. This is mainly because Celes can lose herself in the reaches of chaos that her Bankai exposes her to. In a sense, it is almost toxic to her personality.
Celes has one final form of fighting comes in the form of her resurrection. It is also the most common for Yukito to appear to her in this form. As her and Yukito's minds somewhat meld or at least become connected, she becomes somewhat more compassionate again. I repeat, only somewhat. While she has full consciousness during her resurrection, she still has Yukito's mind and thoughts polluting her own. This shows in one primary way. Celes will rarely care about the well being of others unless it has a direct purpose to her survival. This is much like Yukito who sees friends as tools and quite frankly has no qualm over sacrificing them if it means that Celes gets to survive although the reason behind that is more self-serving in nature.
The tendrils that from on Celes' back act as a secondary form of combat. In ressurection, Celes maintains whatever release she had and she can still release just as normal. Her tendrils meanwhile act as a way of offense and defense. She does become somewhat unstable due to the meld of her and Yukito. Using her tendrils, she has very little qualm over crushing the life out of others and even just skewering them with the tendrils. In essence, she acts much like a Kraken which is a prime folktale example of chaos and this represents itself in her resurrection. While in this form, Celes only cares about one thing, survival.
-Zanpakutou Appearances-
Sealed
Sealed
Yunorashi in her sealed state looks like a regular katana. There are key aspects to distinguish Yunorashi. First and foremost is a jade green blade with the insignia of a golden apple decorating the center of the blade. The hilt is a pitch black color with no special insignia or decoration. Other than these specifications, Yunorashi looks like any other katana in terms of length and handling. Aside from the color of both the blade and the hilt along with the insignia, Yunorashi takes the shape of your average sword that any Shinigami would wield on duty.
Despite being a typical Shinigami Zanpakutou, the blade gleams a bright green when reflected off of light. This is standard for any blade so there is nothing special there. The Zanpakutou is small enough to fit within Celes' belt making it extremely efficient to carry while traveling or even while keeping it hidden. This makes Yunorashi exceptionally good for any form of attack from her belt as the belt itself has a slit to easily slide Yunorashi out just in case she Celes needs to. This makes the sealed form of Yunorashi unique in her own way.
The insignia of the apple on Yunorashi's center has symbolic meaning to Celes. Much like the chaos of her abilities, the apple represents the Apple of Discord. Said to be the cause of most sources of strife by the Greek Goddess of Strife, Eris. This symbol is practically the cornerstone of her abilities. The Zanpakutou itself shows this with the easily noticeable Apple of Discord located on the center of the blade. The insignia itself has no practical combat purpose, but it does remind Celes of how chaos can be a powerful tool in the right hands.
Shikai
Yunorashi in release warps heavily. The blade itself becomes more reinforced and thickens. Meanwhile, the symbol of the Apple of Discord repeats across the blade. The symbols themselves take on a green tint. Meanwhile, the blade takes on a pitch black color. The hilt becomes a green color similar to the apples. Right above the hilt of the sword, the blade thickens slightly and extends back to the hilt. At this point, the sword itself looks like a massive greatsword. The multiplication of the Apple of Discord is directly symbolic of the discord Celes can cause.
On the side of the hilt are little skulls that are imprinted onto the hilt of the greatsword. These skulls have glowing green eyes that are there simply for aesthetic value. The skulls move horizontally across the hilt and are always face up. Meanwhile, the hilt itself is a shade of green that is slightly darker than the color that the skulls are. The skulls themselves take a grey coloration and have an open mouth. From that open mouth, a small green mist can be seen flowing out. The mist itself once again does not do anything of harm and is simply there to look intimidating.
Upon releasing her Shikai, Celes can no longer place Yunorashi on her belt. This makes it a lot harder to carry Yunorashi while in Shikai. This does not create that many issues on its own since Celes takes a rather aggressive stance upon releasing. This itself matches with her theme of entropy which explains the apple of discord along the blade. The blade sinks in the middle and moves across and creates an incline to house the insignias of the apple of discord. The skulls meanwhile are a clear representation of the potential mortality after an age of chaos.
Bankai
Kyouki-Yunorashi changes from the greatsword back into a katana, but at a longer length. It becomes a 1 ft green hilt with a 5 ft black blade. The blade gives off an ominous glow. The hilt warps to have the top extend outward creating a ~ kind of shape at the connecting piece of the blade and the hilt. Much like a regular katana, the blade itself moves straight forward before curving up slightly. On the top of the hilt is a Kraken head with tentacles that move around the hilt down to the very bottom. Between the spaces of the tentacles is a rune. At the very bottom is a small ring that has a piece of black cloth hanging down from it.
The Kraken takes a greenish coloration much like the general theme of Celes' Zanpakutou. The katana itself takes a much greater length allowing for much more versatility. The Kraken head attaches to the ~ shape of the connecting piece of the blade and hilt. The Kraken has always been a symbol of chaos, a harbinger of doom on the distant oceans. This is what is represented by the Kraken head. As the tentacles from the Kraken head wrap around the entirety of the hilt, it creates an interesting spiral shape. Once again, the decoration serves no combat purpose.
The tentacles themselves do not move and simply remain latched to the hilt. Much like the head, they serve no combat purpose and simply remain to display the symbolism behind the Zanpakutou and the power it possesses. The ring on the end of the hilt is not too large. At most, one could stick a hand through it. With time, Celes has learned to aim a sword strike through the whole adding a whole different layer of redirection into the combat potential of the blade. The cloth at the is simply there to wipe off anything ranging from blood to general liquids.
Spirit Appearance
Yunorashi is the Zanpkutou spirit of Celes. She has white hair and deep hazel eyes. She looks young, but is nowhere near the age she appears to be. She acts like a child, playing around with Celes and smiling often. Her voice sounds rather young and can sometimes be somewhat condescending. Yunorashi wears a white garb on both of her shoulders, connected by a middle portion that is colored brown. Yunorashi wears heavy-handed gauntlets that make her fair features appear rather rugged due to the plethora of spikes on the actual gauntlet.
Yunorashi's garb covers her shoulders and her chest, but that is about the bulk of what it covers in that location. She wears a shirt under it that that has three different colors to it: white, brown, and green, the centermost piece being the largest and taking a white color. This shirt extends down to her upper thigh where this is a small break. On top of this, she generally wears a satchel around her shoulder that sinks down diagonally to her waist. She does not carry much in it and Celes is not quite sure what she even carries within that satchel.
Upon reaching the break, there is about one inch of skin that is showing after which her leg gets covered up. She wears what look like tight leggings in a white color. Around her neck and her most defining trinket, is a necklace. This is a circular necklace that looks like a sun encased in a circle. Within the sun itself is a symbol consisting of 3 triangles. At a glance, they look very similiar to the Tri-Force. Yunorashi often times speaks in a rather respectful and formal tone which does not appear like how someone her age would normally talk.
{Yunorashi }
Yukito is the Hollow Spirit of Celes. Unlike Yunorashi, Celes fears Yukito and what he can do. He has black hair, usually wears black clothing or any inverted color of Celes' clothing. Meanwhile, he also dons a vicious smile. Yukito stands at about 5'10" and looks rather semi-healthy for his height. Unlike Yunorashi, he does not smile too often, opting to instead simply look indifferent to most forms of stimuli. Yukito himself wears a garb that is very reminiscent of a suit that a Shinobi or Ninja would wear. Meanwhile, he often walks barefoot.
Yukito has somewhat short and ruffled up hair. On his shoulders appear to a chain which moves across his shoulders and down his back and chest. These chains do not look linked, but instead, have a feeling of a filled chain. These extend farther down before being cut off. On his back, he appears to have a sword that looks somewhat like Kyouki-Yunorashi. He seldom has the sword itself in his hand, but the description of the blade roughly matches Kyou-Yunorashi when taken at face value. Celes does not know why he carries this sword around, but she is curious.
Yukito has pale white skin. He wears both a black scarf and general garb that drapes his body up to his stomach. From there he wears a set of cloth pants that extend down his feet. Much like Yunorashi, he does not wear any form of footwear to speak off and neither does he enjoy to wear it anyway. His voice is rather deep and sounds like he is a young adult. His appearance is around a 22 year old male. Yukito has blue eyes and white sclera which is rather odd for a Hollow. Even an Inner hollow like himself, but Celes does not pay it much mind.
{Yukito}
Inner World: Celes has a split world in which both Yunorashi and Yukito reside albeit on different sides. On one end out into the endless world is a barren wasteland with no life besides Yukito. It is here where he sits on the border with eyes closed. He takes his time to gaze out into the world of Yunorashi and always looking for opportunities to corrupt the inner world fully with madness. Meanwhile, Yunorashi resides in a more refined area. It is simply a forest with trees that have shed their leaves. Both beautiful and terrible, trees on the line of both life and death, Yunorashi hides in the non-existent crown of trees ever-cheerful and only aware of her side of the world.
Within the branches of Yunorashi's half, she can always be seen playing. Celes has entertained her before by playing little children games with her that Yunorashi seems to enjoy. Meanwhile, Yukito can be seen off in the distance on his wasteland by the border where he sits and meditates. While meditating his eyes are always closed and he can be seen murmuring something. Before they found out about Yukito, Yunorashi always wondered what that other half was for as she never went to it. Yunorashi can cross the border whenever she wishes much like Yukito, but they choose to remain separate, only with Yunorashi being the one who is completely unknowledgeable of his existence.
Zanapkutou Release Names: "Unbalance, Yunorashi" (Shikai)/"Disarrange the fine balance, Kyouki-Yunorashi"(Bankai)
Overall Ability
The universe runs on a delicate balance of both order and entropy. It is this entropy that Celes manifests in her abilities. The very chaos of the universe is at her beck and call allowing her to turn even the most peaceful of times into a blood-stained warzone. It is with this ability that Celes can wreak havoc upon a group of beings, turning them against one another and watching bloodshed unfold. Her ability creates strife where there is none, creates chaos wherever she may tread, and leaves broken wills when she breathes the same air. She can cause two or more opponents in a moderate area to engage in combat amongst themselves, adding to her ability to keep herself safe while others do the work practically for her.
Celes can debilitate even the most resilient of fighters through her abilities. Her ability to create strife changes if one person is afflicted which in turn creates more of a debilitating effect. In the area of combat, those that suffer from it will experience a greater stamina drain as they are simply filled with bloodlust that Celes substitutes in the zone. This is particularly effective despite the cost of her abilities. They can have a pricey cost to them at lower proficiency, but as Celes gets stronger, she will undoubtedly be able to maintain more abilities.
A devastating ability in Celes' arsenal is the power to chaotically lash out at one's soul and drain resources. This is particularly debilitating to those that use reaitsu as their arsenal. Chaos and madness provide false truths and this technique is no different. Despite the benefit to the opponent, the cost is incredible if allowed to fester. As the madness festers within their soul and intertwines with it, they will find it increasingly difficult to balance the reaitsu costs and in fact expend more energy than necessary. This gives Celes a distinct advantage in the conservation of techniques.
Celes uses more destructive forms of combat in her Bankai. Quite literally creating rapture upon the landscape as she unleashes pure chaos around her. One of her more interesting abilities is the capacity to create a "prison" reminiscent of a harbinger of chaos, Pandora's Box. By locking them inside and subjecting them to the spirits of malice, they suffer immense psychological and even physical injuries with the spirits literally getting more aggressive as the box opens. The freedom of these spirits is the breaking point of most within the box. While these spirits are set loose upon the world, the poor soul inside gets shred to bits.
Shikai Overall Ability
Celes' Shikai focus on an aspect of entropy, madness. This allows her to turn people against one another. Using her Shikai, it can send two or more afflicted targets into a frenzy. As madness overtakes them, friend and foe non-existent in the face of one simple task, survival. Madness is primal survival and afflicted targets will do anything to survive, unable to tell the difference between their friend who might have just struck them down. There lies the beauty of entropy. The power to change alliances and cause war and destruction without even lifting a finger.
Behind madness lies the lack of concentration. The lack to do what one wants effectively. This is the other part of Celes' Shikai. By warping the concentration of others using madness, she can reduce their perception of danger and even make them use more energy than required. The Shikai is quite simply, attrition warfare. Which side can whittle down the other and entropy has a habit of doing this exceptionally well. By affecting the target, it simply reduces their effectiveness in combat and with a swift sword strike, a battle can be over.
The first of Celes' abilities is a simple ability. Using it she can manifest the rage and strife found in war and apply it to the situation. Its effects are quite different depending on the number of adversaries. If a poor lonely soul walks into range of this technique, they will be immediately overcome with pure madness. This alone has a devastating effect on the psychological fortitude of the opponent. As they become so influenced by madness, reality and illusion become one. In this case, illusions of Celes plague the battlefield which can all cause the feeling of pain, never creating true cuts or bruises.
It is in the case that more than 1 person enters the zone that it becomes interesting. As they are filled with the rage of war, they seek out the nearest targets fight in honorable combat. This combat is not without disadvantage to the target. The immediate proximity to a threat makes them lose all manner of concentration on their stamina drain. As they become less cogniscent they will begin to expend more energy than necessary, locked in fierce combat. Targets afflicted move at 100+ the speed they think they are moving at. I.E somebody who perceives a speed of 150, is truly moving at 250. More than that, it breaks all manner of concentration in reaitsu control demanding a 50% increased cost to all manner of techniques. This makes groups beneficial to Celes as she can turn friend into foe.
Madness lashes out at the soul and can ingrain itself so deep into the soul that separating the two can be detrimental. This is practically what Celes does. By releasing a wave of madness, afflicted opponents become deranged. This deranged attitude comes with a beneficial effect. The power-hungry mad often have more than normal and as such, the target receives a boost to spiritual stats. It is with all benefits, that there must be consequences. As the madness grips further and further into their soul, techniques begin to require more energy than needed and their senses and instincts begin to fail them as the world itself blurs to their perception. With one final pry, the madness dispells itself, but with it, it takes a chunk of reaitsu with it as their soul longs for the deep ingrained of madness. This is by far one of Celes' most devastating abilities if allowed to ramp up.
Celes can easily turn the tide of battle in her favor. As long as the opponent has trouble avoiding her abilities, she should be able to make them suffer. In the end, chaos is the disruption of order. Celes does just that, disrupts the natural order of a person's very feelings and even the energy of their soul. With it, Celes can effectively outlast an opponent through pure resource destruction. Any war has its fair share of chaos and Celes brings enough to the table to give attrition warfare a whole new meaning.
Bankai Overall Ability
Chaos is a poison. Behind the aftermath of chaos lies, but one thing, destruction. This is what Kyuoki-Yunorashi brings to the table. Infecting the very soul of someone, debilitating them to the point where a strike or blast will dispatch of them. While her techniques don't have the capacity to destroy, it can lead up to other methods of indirect destruction. This is what chaos is. Yunorashi brings pure, uncontrollable chaos to the battlefield that brings ruin to those that dare cross Celes' path. This makes her quite the formidable opponent in battle since she can wreak destruction onto the battlefield.
By utilizing disorder, Celes can completely seal parts of an opponents power. Chaos does not see equality, only opportunity. Celes can wreak havoc upon the soul of a creature, disallowing it from acting at its fullest. Chaos corrupts and degrades. This is exactly what Celes uses her power for. This is where her truest colors show. Sealing and destroying others whenever possible out of the need of satisfying her alternate insane personality. It is also the time when Yukito influences her most as the fall to chaos allows him to get a much tighter grasp on Celes.
Summoning pillars of flame that are chaotic in nature, Celes can sear even the most resilient of souls. While spiritual barriers can prove resistant to the flames of entropy, few things come out unscathed. As festering burns can overtake them, Celes can make use of these burns. As the fires of chaos settle within their body, Celes can manipulate their spirit easier and use her sealing technique to much greater and sometimes more efficient effect. Put plain and simply, Celes can combo her abilities quite well to create and push rapture out upon the world.
Chaos is pure disorder. Celes can use this disorder to her advantage. By infusing her own chaos into the soul of a victim she quite literally place a seal on the actual technique. This seal prevents the reaitsu from being to collect to use this specific technique. Celes can push this even further by combining it with her ability to summon pillars of flame. The degree of burns allows for more sealing of techniques as the open wounds allow for more location which the chaos can seep into along with the burns being chaotic in nature, making them much more attuned to be able to transmit the sealing technique.
Celes has one more technique she can use that is yet another embodiment of chaos. Celes can form a prison similiar to Pandora's box. By creating this prison, Celes traps one unfortunate soul within the confines of this box. Much like the story, there are forces of incredible emotion and spite trapped within this box. One thing is for certain, if the emotions drag the unfortunate victim with them, they leave pure blight in their wake. Anyone trapped within this box is constantly assaulted by these spirits and take a form of physical damage every post. If the box is not broken and the victim escapes before the spirits can, they suffer severe and deep cuts from these spirits.
Celes' Bankai relies on one aspect of chaos, destruction. It is tailored to simply destroy all sense of hope and to rid the opponent of flesh and bone using techniques that not only inhibit the spirit of the victim, but also severely injures the body of whoever she is fighting. Celes thrives on her Bankai as her main offensive measure. Her Shikai only seeks render their resources null and void, but the Bankai itself thrives on the aspect of rendering their body injured and mutilated. The purest form of chaos that can be found lies within the Bankai of Celes.
Zanpakuto Techniques
Shikai Tech
Name: Kyouki to DansuDescription: Celes points Yunorashi to a location. By spending 200 reaitsu, an area about 50 ft radius around Celes afflicts the area. This becomes an area of madness. This technique afflicts people differently depending on if there are 1 or 2+ people within the area of strife. In the case of 1 person, the zone instills a sense of madness within its targets. The afflicted target will now be seeing multiples of Celes. To be exact, the victim will see 3 clones of Celes, excluding the original herself. These clones act separately from Celes via her command. The command can be issued telepathically. While they can move, Celes herself cannot if she is issuing strings of commands as she is forced to concentrate. These cannot actually deal any physical harm except for the original Celes, but any form of psychological stress/harm is applicable. In the case of 2+ targets being afflicted, a similar effect happens. The afflicted targets are filled with strife and feel compelled to attack each other. The afflicted targets attack each other as if they were dreaded enemies. While locked in combat, targets find themselves to suffer an increased stamina drain. Their perception of speed is altered by 100. I.E if they are moving at 50, it feels like 150. All form of release and non release techniques also suffer a 25% higher cost. The zone takes 100 reaitsu per post to maintain. The duration of the strife and debuff is 2 posts and it refreshes when one re-enters the zone. The zone forms upon activation at its maximum size. The zone fades after one post.
Drawback: This technique suffers from a few drawbacks. A Strength of Will/Illusion Resist of 2 can completely negate any form of madness caused by this technique. An offensive stat priority of 2x has the same negation effect. The technique itself can only cause its effects initially when the target is not in the air. The feelings of madness can be forcibly expelled from the body by spending 200 reaitsu. Once placed, the zone cannot be altered without casting another. It will always be stationary. The zone itself does not initiate its effect until fully formed. The multiples seen during the technique can be struck down with any one attack.

Reserved: Yes
Name: Noushukushougai
Description: By spending 200 reaitsu, Celes releases a flash of green light in front of her. The light travels at a speed of 400. The flash of light itself travels in 90° cone at a height of 25 ft. It traves much like an expanding wall. Any target that is hit by this light will begin losing their mind. Once afflicted, the target's instict will decrease by 75 points for 2 posts, up to a minimum of 50 Instict. The new instinct after the deduction brings along with it all the caveats of the new value. For example if this technique is used on a target with 150 instinct, the target's instinct sinks to 75 and for the duration, the target reacts to scenarios with as if their instinct is 75.
Drawback: To maintain the technique, Celes must spend 200 reaitsu every post across its lifetime. Furthermore, her concentration is required throughout the technique which prevents her from using any other technique across its lifespan. If the target expels 200 reaitsu immediately, they may completely cancel out the effect and make themselves immune to Noushukushougai 2 posts. An Illusion Resist of 3 or stat superiority of 2x will negate this technique.

Bankai Techniques
Name: Entoropii no Shiiru
Description: By spending 50 reaitsu per post, Celes ignites the tip of Kyouki-Yunorashi with a green flame. For every swing, Celes has to pay an additional 50 reaitsu while this technique is toggled. By striking her target, Celes pours disorder into the targets body system. Once applied, the technique lingers only until the next technique that uses reaitsu is used by an opponent. In the case that this technique wins in a clash of abilites, the targets technique would instead fail. The reaitsu cost for the failed technique does NOT apply.
Drawback: This technique requires Celes to hit her target. A speedier target that can elude her will have an advantage against this technique. For this technique to actually work, it needs to win in a clash of abilities. If that is not possible, the interference provided by this technique is rendered null and void against that opponent. Furthermore, if successful, the technique itself can only successful disrupt one technique before it has to be reapplied again. Lastly, reiatsu costs don't go through if the technique is disrupted.

Name: Kaosu no Hi
Description: Celes plunges Kyouki-Yunorashi into the ground and spends 300 reaitsu. For this technique to work completely, Kyouki-Yunorashi must remain plunged in the ground. Celes can spend 50 reaitsu to summon pillars of flames infused with entropy. These pillars are 10 ft in diameter. She can manifest a pillar within 200 ft of her plunged Zanpakutou. The pillars themselves linger for a few seconds before fading. However, prematurely creating pillars before the last expired snuffs out the prior pillar. Any target burned by this technique suffers entropic burns. These burns are harder to heal, requiring double the reaitsu cost for techniques that attempt to heal them.
Drawback: This technique suffers from one severe drawback to Celes. While using this technique, she cannot use her weapon. The pillars of flame don't materialize instantly but require a slight startup allowing for opponents with some speed to outrace the flames. The pillars themselves linger for a few seconds, but every pillar erases the last. At most, only one pillar can remain active at a time.

Name: Pandora no Hako
Description: By spending 400 reiatsu, Celes raises Kyouki-Yunorashi as a small green orb forms around the tip. This orb expands slightly before being fired at a speed of 1000. Upon hitting a target, it expands and encases the target in a box. The box itself remains for 3 posts. The box slowly begins to open over the course of the three posts. This does not simply trap the target. Within the box lie the negative of the universe. Hate, Envy, Greed, Death, etc. These spirits are very eager to leave the box and go into a frenzy as it is being opened. Within the box the target itself will be continuously assaulted by these spirits, becoming much more aggressive as the box gets closer to opening. After the first post, the box itself opens slightly and the spirits cause numerous superficial scratches on the skin. After the second post, the box opens a little more and the spirits begin to get more aggressive. The target suffers extreme pain from the negativity contained within the box and numerous deep scratches. After the third post, the box itself bursts open and the spirits rush to escape the box. The target is carried along with the spirits and falls outside the box. The torrent of spirits tear off flesh and minor disfigurement of flesh upon rushing outside the box.
Drawback: The technique has one drawback in particular. The box itself can be destroyed. By using either techniques or physical strikes with a 50% higher offensive stat value, the box itself can be shattered. Any wounds will be sustained prior to breaking out of the box. The projectile itself cannot be stopped prior to hitting a target. This means that if it misses, the box will not materialize. This technique requires extensive use of surprise to pull off since the projectile moves in a rather linear path. On top of this, Celes herself can be locked in the box if it hits a target close enough.

Mask Appearance: Celes mask has the typical bonelike color and structure. The actual aesthetics of the mask include slit eyes and red lines sinking down to the edge of the mask diagonally. From this diagonal line, 3 lines on both sides colored blue sink down the mask to the chin area. The mask itself covers most of Celes' face and some of her neck. Much like most Visored masks, it has incredible durability to strikes and cracks very seldom. The mask itself retains the somewhat menacing look of most masks, making the color of her eyes particularly visible.
Ressurection Apperance
Celes' resurrection is unique in that it takes the form of a harbinger of chaos. While it does her warp her body physically to match, it does generate traits noticeable of the beast, the Kraken. Upon activating the resurrection, Celes rears her head back and lets out a deep oceanic growl. She then bends forward and contorts as a torrent of reaitsu pours from her back. She rears back again and lets out a blood-curdling scream, so loud that it brings most to their knees in pain. This scream causes the tendrils to erupt from her back. These tendrils take on a deep greenish-black color. Celes can use these tendrils to attack.
Celes herself changes to an extent. Reaitsu twists around her body rapidly as she looks down at it. This twisting reaitsu eventually stops on a dime and forms itself into a scaly exoskeleton, covering the chest of Celes down to her knees and the covering her back somewhat, remaining shy of the tendrils that erupted from her back. This exoskeleton acts as a durable armor similar to Hierro although this is an opaque armor that covers most of Celes.
The tendrils themselves remain on her back. They form so that two are on each side and one looms over the head of Celes. These tendrils match Celes' mental commands and can be designated to move individually or all together. The tendrils themselves do slowly pace back and forth from side to side when idle, but they stretch out and whip around quickly and with force when Celes is screaming or just angry. Just like the Kraken, Celes destroys with ferocity, relying simply on instinct and survival to get her by with no remark to the faulty method of thinking things through.
Ressurection Powers
Crush - Celes winds back and uses her tendrils for once. She can either run to a creature or even choose a creature within 5 ft of her. Upon choosing a creature, Celes folds her tendrils back and quickly whips then around to embrace any target. By embracing a target, she uses her strength stat to decides what happens to it. If Celes' strength exceeds the targets by 100, the target will feel incredible pain as their body is being constricted by her tendrils. If the strength of Celes exceeds the target by 200, she will be able to make the target pass out after 2 posts of crushing. Anything above 300+ will make the target's bones shatter, but never kill the target. Organs may also suffer severe damage from pressure. In the case that Celes tries to crush someone with a higher strength stat than her, she will not only struggle to embrace the target, but the target can easily break free of her gasp causing her to stumble and leave herself open.
Chaos Storm - This is an extremely effective defensive option that Celes possesses. Celes begins by dispersing her tendrils causing them to fade. After the fade, reaitsu begins to rise from the ground around Celes as a torrent of reaitsu begins to flow around her. This torrent will act as a shield for Celes. As she moves, the storm will follow Celes' every step for 2 posts. While this storm is active, techniques will simply dissolve into oblivion. The reaitsu simply disperses upon coming into contact with this storm. Celes can penetrate her own storm. Meanwhile, all creatures within the vicinity of her storm will feel a sense of dread. This storm, however, will disperse if hit with a technique exceeds her class. (I.E If Celes is Class 2, all Class 1 techniques will immediately disperse her storm with any technique). Any technique of equal class will be able to disperse the storm after 3 successful strikes. The storm can also be dispered if hit by a technique of a user with 2x stat superiority. After this technique disperses, Celes automatically regenerates her tendrils.
Other Techniques
Shunpo – A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point that determines the bases of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from point A to point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move; those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower, which requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become winded far easier in a shorter amount of time. A single step magnifies speed for that step by 10 times. Uses 50 Reiatsu per step. This one is automatically learned in the academy. ALL shinigami know this when created.

-History-
Birthplace: Moscow, Russia
Current Residence: Seireitei, Soul Society
Memorable Figures: Aakuna Shindazu - Celes' mother who was the carrier of the Hollow Yukito. Aakuna unknowingly gave the Hollow to Celes. Regrettably, Aakuna died from a rare illness. This caused Celes to try and see the world in a positive light to always deter herself from her mother's death. Nobody is quite aware how Yukito was transferred to Celes, but Celes and Aakuna shared a deep spiritual connection that developed as Celes matured in her womb that Yukito possibly latched onto.
Heyori Shindazu - The elder sister to Celes. Celes looked up to Heyori as she took care of her after their mother had died. Celes held Heyori dear, but all good things come to an end as Heyori was later murdered by some crooks. They tried to steal food she had to prepare for herself and Celes, but she died defending it. This death can be considered Celes' snapping point as something chaotic developed in her.
History: A child to the Shindazu family, Celes was brought into this world at Merciful Brother's hospital by Aakuna Shindazu in Moscow Russia. With her mother and the newly born Celes was Heyori. Heyori herself was overjoyed when Celes was born. Crying like all newborn children do, Celes was treasured by both Aakuna and Heyori. Regrettably, Celes' father was nowhere to be found at the time of her birth and as a matter of fact, nobody would know where to find him. As such, Celes childhood turned out to be rather meek and without must interest.
As Celes grew up, she was shown great adoration by both Aakuna and Heyori. Heyori especially loved Celes as the elder sister. She always took the time to come and play with Celes when she didn't have anyone to play with. Celes grew up to be rather lonely, isolated and alienated from most especially as people began to leave due to the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. This alienation began to make Celes incredibly sad, but she always found that Heyori could cheer her up. Above all else, Celes was always happy to see Heyori's smile since it always beamed and shined like a bright morning star.
Life was not easy as she matured. Disease and political hardships gripped the world and Russia quite hard. This would eventually lead to the terrible tragedy that Celes and Heyori had to experience. They lived in a rather modest house, always looking for work in an economically barren environment. As Celes looked through books of other countries and worlds, she wanted to see all there was to see. Even as a child, Celes was optimistic to a fault. Always looking to make friends and see the better in people even when none was to be had.
It all went rather well for Celes as she grew older. She was fairing rather well in school, had acquaintances here and there, but alas one thing she valued had to be taken away from her. As Heyori and Celes came home from school on a cold winter afternoon, the house was barren and Aakuna was slumped over on the ground. Celes and Heyori tried desperately to wake her up, even going as far as rushing her to the nearest hospital. At this point, tears were streaming from their eyes as they tried not to think the most likely scenario. Staying in the hospital overnight, a doctor finally stood in front of them, his face grave. He told them of the dire situation and that they couldn't help Aakuna. He offered them both to see their mother as they rushed in.
Celes and Heyori were mortified to see their mother in this state. Eyes barely open, drifting from awake to sleep, her hand twitching. Celes ran up to Aakuna who smiled at Celes weakly. The last thing she could do was brush Celes hair to the side and simply look at how she had matured in her own lifetime. She flashed one last smile at Celes and Heyori before her hand sank and went limp, her eyes closing shut, never to open again. It was at this point that Celes witnessed her first death. Always trying to see the best in situations, Celes found it impossible as she cried out in grief. Heyori had to grab her and pull her away as Celes began to desperately grab her mother's deceased hand.
Now years later, Celes it was Celes' 18th birthday. Heyori now at 23, was overjoyed to see Celes mature into what she called, "a beautiful young woman and my incredible sister". Celes had begun to smile just as brightly as Heyori. After their mother's death, the took up refuge in a vacant house. For months they remained before trying to get a decent job that would take minors. They eventually did find a somewhat stable career and were able to get some money. They shared and rationed food as the times were dire. If they wanted to survive, they had to ration and share. Life was better since they both had each other. This, however, would lead to the tragic event that made Celes snap.
Celes would tread down a dark path. Not as in malicious, but her life was becoming progressively worse as she was turning to depression. As she head to a market, she found...that alleyway. She quickly scurried by and headed to the market. While there, she was getting a good variety of foods. Meats, bread, fruit until she looked down and saw a most interesting figure, walking around.
Celes leaned down and what she was interested her. In front of her was a very young girl. She inspected her. She was in ragged clothing as she smiled at the girl. With fear in her eyes, she moved away. Seeing a..strange chain portruding from her chest, she quickly retracted her hand and smiled warmly at her, trying to comfort her. Eventually warming up, the girl moves up to her. Celes begins having a pleasant conversation with her, crawing some attention from the surrounding people.
A cold day, on February 29th, 2008, Heyori was getting food from a local market for herself and Celes. She realized they needed the food desperately. As she traveled through an alleyway, Heyori was quickly met with a group of gang members who simply asked her for the food. Heyori tried to get away, kicking and screaming, trying to defend the food that she needed to get home for her sister. Regrettably, Heyori never came out of that alleyway alive. As she lay there, face down in the blood-stained snow, Celes almost sensed it. You see, at this point, she had become somewhat aware of the spiritual energy that flowed through the world. Celes set out and as she passed the alleyway, she saw a woman. She ran to her asking if she is ok. She picked her up and her eyes grew cold and distant. All that could be heard is her scream.
At this point, Celes' life had taken a turn for the worst. In front of the grave where both her sister and mother lay with no father figure in sight, Celes was at the end of the road. For years she would go and seek a job. Depression set in and she tried to remain happy. For herself and because she knew that her family would've wanted her to be happy. They never liked it all too much that she was always so sad. Stricken with grief and depression, she looked for alternatives where none presented themselves. She thought about other more...drastic alternatives, but she knew that her mother and sister would've never wanted that. It was at this point that Celes would not be far off from her own grave.
The volatile times of the Soviet Union left a stain on Celes' future. She would have difficulty finding a job and would sink into small fits of depression. This was a dark time for Celes. She didn't see much point in life. It was all too much. Her family being taken away from her one by one was a cruel joke. One should could only imagine in great epics. Celes was no hero. She wasn't brave. Why was all this happening to her she wondered. She simply did not get it at all. The chaotic nature of her life would soon began to take hold.
Celes was on her way to get some food one day. As she walked there, she passed by a familiar alley. It was different..had a different meaning to Celes as she quickly scurried past, scared of getting too wrapped up in her own emotions. As she ended up in the market, she purchased a variety of foods to get here past the harshest of times. Meats, fruits, etc all filled her basket. Head to leave, she actually stumbled upon quite the interesting figure.
As she looked down, she sees what appeared to be a young girl. Interest filled her as she inspected the girl. Torn, ragged clothing and meek flesh covered the girl. Most curious, however, was a peculiar chain that seemed to be...coming from the girl's chest. Celes reached out her hand in curiosity. The girl naturally took a worried step away as Celes gently coo'd. "Don't worry...I won't hurt you sweetie..." A sudden change of heart could be seen in the girl.
As she walked closer, she began to smile at Celes. This naturally illicited a response from Celes as she offered her a smile in return. As they were having a rather pleasant conversation, she got odd looks from passerby's. For you see..they couldn't see the girl. To the others, the plus that Celes was seeing and communicating to did not even appear. It wasn't until a figure began approaching that the girl ran away, the screeching of metal being heard. The figure looked down at her and softly spoke. "I do hope that a Lady such as yourself is not possibly going crazy..."
He stood above her, offering a strong hand to the kneeling woman. 5'8", shaven, adorned with ruffled up black hair, Celes was looking upon Dmitri, a local marketman. Running the booth for vegetables, he gently helped Celes up. Smiling, she looked back down to where she had seen the girl and was thinking about. As she began to think more and more about her, Dmitri had distracted her again by striking up a conversation with her. A conversation that was rather meek, but at this point in her life, Celes did not expect any less.
The two would meet as time went on, growing closer and closer. Becoming friends was a hurdle due to Celes not being very trusting of others at this juncture, but she saw something in Dmitri. Celes would start to share aspects of her life with Dmitri. As he found out more and more about what she had been through, he became much more sympathetic. It did all sound like a tragedy to him and he wished to comfort her. This resulted in the fateful question. One day, he got on one knee and asked Celes to be his. This was quite the surprise to her. Regardless she accepted because she did not want to be alone anymore. Little did both of them know that she would die soon.
Celes, now at age 27, was walking down the street as the worst possible even occurred. As she crossed the road, she was hit by a drunken driver who was clearly not cognisant of anyone on the road. Just before being hit, Celes was startled and saw a flash of her life that filled her with grief. The last thing she remembered was a cold, painful thud that ended with her going unconscious. As she came to, her vision was blurry and she gripped her head. Around her, well more like away from her was a group of people. She saw a chain protruding from her chest as she was filled with confusion. As her vision cleared, she jumped and screamed as she saw her own corpse. Confused as to why nobody heard her, she simply waited there.
Now a plus, Celes began to hyperventilate at the thought of where she was. She did not know exactly but was filled with dread as she heard screaming. She soon remembered that she had seen people like her current self before. Vaguely, but she has seen them. She would spend some time as a plus. This reminded her of the pluses she had met. Wandering souls that couldn't be seen and Celes was now one of them.
It was then that Celes saw a hulking beast rush through a building as the crowd dispersed. Celes then saw a woman who promptly and swiftly slew the hulking beast. She saw as the hollow itself began to disappear. The woman then quickly looked at Celes, approaching her. She looked down at her with a smile and knelt down. She spoke softly, but quickly explaining her condition and offered a way to move on. Celes swiftly nodded her head as the woman brought the hilt of her weapon up to Celes' head and smiled. Celes' consciousness then faded for a brief second as she found herself in a new place, the Soul Society.
She was swiftly approached and greeted by many faces. They had congratulated her on her arrival the Soul Society. With that Celes began her integration into a custom family and they noted that she possessed an odd spirit. Celes had told them that she was able to see the dead, which she found out were also referred to as Pluses. At this point, she lived with her family for a few months before being noticed and picked up by the Shinigami. They realized that she a possessed strong latent spirit which they told her they could train and have her join the ranks of the Shinigami. Celes then remembered back to the woman who had used the Konsō on her. Celes began to think about it and obliged for a primary reason. She would be able to protect others, a duty that she gave herself after the death of Heyori to injustice. With that Celes has now been training to move up in the ranks of the Shinigami.
Celes as a new trainee was...pitiful. Not really an expert in much of anything she had meager abilities as a swordsman or spiritual abilities. It was quite clear that the concept of becoming a Shinigami was not coming easy to her. There were prodigies here and there. People born in the Soul Society and all, but Celes had a terrible self-esteem. She still blamed herself for everything and she felt as if she was not meant for this. She wanted to try and save Heyori, but how could she. To herself she was a weak, pathetic person. Her memories would fade to when Heyori was killed and her eyes filled with tears.
In her mind, she practically saw a vision of Heyori. The figment told her that she should have saved her. That Celes is the reason she is dead. The cruelty of Celes' guilt was weighing on her heavily. It was then that something snapped. A slight feeling of...conviction and anger arose. She spoke with scorn. "My fault? You and mom were the ones that died. The ones that left me! I was the one alone. The one abandoned. I had nobody, but nobody ever thought about me huh?!?" The figment trailed away at the sudden scorn and faded away. With that Celes' feelings faded and she was muttering to herself, "W..why? Why did I say that...?"
This experience left an interesting note in Celes' mind. It left her with confidence in herself. The cynical and the benevolent would mesh oddly. On one hand she was feeling free when she rejecting her prior ties, but it left her with a want. A longing for both Heyori and her mother back. This would translate to her academy time as well. She became quieter as time went on, but she was becoming more proficient. Her blade skills were improving. Something was fueling her. She was not sure what yet.
Making friends was not her strong suit. She was either completely hyper or depressingly quiet and still. The benefit of this was that she spent alot of time honing her natural abilities. As time went on, she would continue her 'studies' under the academy. Continuing to learn more and more, she would garner the attention of multiple people. People she could potentially call friends. This made her a little less uptight and be began to lighten up more and more.
As time went on and she grew more and more convinced that this was meant for her, she heard the tales of some of the experiences in the squads. Tellings of killings of those cursed monsters Celes would soon come to know as Hollows. This left Celes yet again with a sense of longing, but also a definite goal. She would train heavily to become part of a squad and finally do herself and others justice. To reaffirm to herself that she could finally do something worthwhile. Unnamed blade in hand, she had her sights set on Squad 11 with a serious focus on the swordsmanship skills she was training. To her it was only the beginning and a matter of time until she could dream bigger.
