"What happened?" were the only words that could escape from Shawns lips as he gazed over the carnage that lay before him while walking through the village.
"Could a single hollow really bring this much death?" Limbs and blood stained the ground everywhere the eye landed. Why were no shinigami called until now, and how did the hollow get so far into the Rukon District? Those thoughts ran through his mind as he heard a sudden loud noise around the corner of a building. Rushing around the bend as quickly as can be managed yields sight to the hollow that caused all this destruction.
Shawn lifted his hands as soon he spoted the hollow and faced them towards it while whispering "Arise god of thunder! Awake mother of storms! Unleash the lighting on the sinners! Hado #4 Byakurai!" As the last words left his mouth a concentrated bolt of lightning left the fingertips he had up, Before Byakurai ended he shouted to all shinigami that could hear him "Now's the time to strike, before it can react!"

Physical Description:
Shawn has golden blonde hair with multiple streaks of pure white obtained through high stress while he was living. His hair is around 2 inches long and slightly curls at the end, this gives the appearance of uncombed hair. Thanks to his western origin he also has bright blue eyes and a wider face. He has no facial hair but that just shows the single scar that travels from the right side corner of his lips straight for 1 inch onto his cheek heading towards his ear.
Shawn has a sickly pale skin tone showing how little he was in the sun while he lived. While he's not in his Shihakusho he prefer's to wear shorts and a tee shirt because he prefer's comfort over fashion. His clothes tend to be on the brighter side ranging from white to light blue, but his Shihakusho will always be black. Neither thin or big, he falls in the middle, however, he shows no muscle definition and because of this he gives the appearance of someone weak and sick, he is anything but that!
The only footwear Shawn uses is Waraji in order to show his love for the Gotei 13 and shinigami, this means he wears waraji even in his gigai, which tends to get him weird looks. Around his neck he always wears a necklace with a silver cross, this is both a memory from his master and a way for him to express his faith. These are the two things he wears no matter the place or circumstance.
Although Shawn is 5'11" he slouches slightly when he feels at ease, this makes him seem less intimidating and easy to talk with. He never tries to seem strong or powerful and only comes across as such when he releases his zanpakuto. Thanks to this he is easily underestimated and his skill is easily seen when he is in a battle. Unlike other shinigami, Shawn prefers to have his sheath and zanpakuto on his back.

Dislikes:
Evil intentions: He hates when people purposefully cause harm for personal pleasure, physical or mental.
Narcissism: These people drive him crazy, they are usually no better if not worse then the average person.
Suffering: Personal suffering doesn't tend to bother him, but seeing someone else suffer hurts.
Muscle Heads: He might be a bit rash but he can't stand people who believe power solves everything.
Being Powerless: The last time he had no power, he watched his siblings perish before he himself perished, never again.
Large Crowds of Strangers: He has never felt at ease around a crowd of people he doesn't know, and after he died, he has even more reason.
Excessive Cursing: Because of his beliefs he himself doesn't curse and he tolerates some, but he cant stand when someone uses curses constantly.
Incomplete Job: He heavily dislikes not finishing a job he accepted and believes it to be weak to leave one uncompleted.
Vandenreich: They are everything he can't stand, supremacists and haters of the soul society, all they want is power and to rule, thats why the head of the snake must be punished, the emperor must pay for the crimes he has committed after the creation of the Vandenreich.
Hell Beings: There is a reason they were put there and should then not be allowed to walk free.
Likes:
To Be Helpful: Helping those in need always makes Shawn happy no matter how serious or trivial, but he won't be taken advantage of.
Training: Training brings peace to his mind and makes him feel more confident in his ability to protect.
Hanging With Friends: Although he loves his alone time while he trains, he loves being with the people he cares about, which, in turn, makes him feel at ease.
Faith: He is a religious person and loves his beliefs, this leads him to also try his best to slay hollows who kill, in order to free them.
Animals: Shawn has always loved animals and has been able to connect with animals fairly easily.
Good people: Those who try to be good no matter the circumstance fills him with hope.
Underdog: he likes being the underdog but also cheers for others in the same position (this includes those put down by society not because of power, but because of race like vizards).
Soul King: He see's the Soul King as the head angel that leads the souls of the soul society to eventual make it to heaven.
Flaws:
Rash: Even though he isn't ridiculously rash he does tend to get himself into trouble (While his zanpakuto is sealed).
Shy: He might be easy for people to talk to, but he himself has a hard time talking with people he doesn't know.
Strict Teacher: Following in his masters footsteps, he hardly teaches, but is extremely strict when he does, no exceptions!
More then he can chew: If he is in a battle he tends to rely on his ability alone in order to lessen the possibility of someone else getting hurt.
Habits:
When Shawn is in a tough or bad position he tends to grip the cross on his necklace, this helps him strengthen his resolve with the faith he has continued to grow as a shinigami.
After battling and returning to his squad barracks he tends to meditate and dwell on the battle/battles for awhile to see anyway he can improve.
Tends to move away from groups of unfamiliar faces unless forced into it through conversation.
When dealing with a lot of stress he will go train alone when a chance to comes along, this helps him relax and calm his mind.
Whenever he is passing through the Rukon district he is always looking out for his two younger siblings he had in life, hoping to find them.
Fears:
Shawn fears losing someone he cares about, and if it was someone really close to him, he doesn't know how he would deal with it. This is all because he lost his siblings in life after not being able to protect them.
He also fear's not being good enough to protect the one's he cares about as well as losing to an opponent who wishes harm on his allies. This, as well as the first fear, causes him to consistently train and try to become stronger then his foes.
He also has a minor fear of large crowds due to the way he and is younger brother and sister died.
Goals:
To become stronger then any adversary could possibly be in order to protect those he cares for, this is a goal he will always aim for since he will always believe there is an enemy better then him.
To accomplish something major for the Gotei 13 and help protect the Soul Society while aiming for a higher position to prove his abilities are growing.
To bring punishment to the emperor and the Vandenreich as well as dealing with hell beings for escaping their prison.

Overall Personality:
Kind and compassionate, Shawn will always try to help those in need no matter how trivial, he doesn't let himself be taken advantage of however. Intelligent in life and thanks to his master, he was forged into a quick thinker allowing him to overcome many obstacles in his path. He is rash however, which tends to get him into trouble, requiring him to use his mind to win the battles he got into. He will do everything to avoid fighting another shinigami though, this is due to the fact that he believes being a shinigami is the last stop before being allowed in heaven.
Compassionate and thoughtful, while alive he helped the people in his village with there daily activities and had a tendency to put others needs above his own, usually forgetting to eat or drink until it became painfully obvious. Being in a village he ended up knowing everyone in it and eventually became the jack of all trades in order to help everyone. When he would go to the bigger towns surrounding his village he would always take his brother and sister with him, that way he could watch over them and help them make there way through life. Shy and reserved he didn't speak much to those he didn't know unless there was a need to, he also tended to avoid the bigger crowds as much as possible.
Thanks to his parents he became a highly religious christian (fundamentalist) and strives to do gods work, this means performing work as a shinigami after entering the soul society. Losing his parents at the age of 17 he soon becomes the guardian of his younger siblings, this is why he tends to be on edge when he's in a crowd (explained more in history). Hardworking and persistent, he hates leaving a job unfinished, this leads to him doing everything in his power to finish it. It doesn't matter how long it takes, as long as he is still working on it, it will be completed, and he does understand not to overwork himself and will take breaks as needed.
When he first entered the soul society he went through a initial struggle with his faith, there were differences to what he was taught. Finally piecing it together he looks at the similarities and begins to follow the faith he has strengthened again. To him the soul society is purgatory and a soul must become a shinigami if he wishes to eventually make it to heaven. Following this he concludes that being reincarnated into the world means your job is not down in the living realm, While being born into the soul society means you were a soul the previously lived there and weren't finished being purified. All of these things is why his faith solidified again and his wish to become a shinigami grows.
Normally rash and quick to act he completely changes after the release of his zanpakuto, becoming calmer and more thought goes into his actions. While sealed he becomes more irritable thanks to the large difference in ability he is able to perform with, Hating to be weak he always strives to become better and consistently trains. Reminding himself how it feels to lose someone he cares about because of lack of ability, he uses this to further his training and solidify his resolve during battle.
Shawn's belief causes him to slay hollows with love in mind, hoping they become pure and have a second chance to repent and work toward's heaven. These beliefs also keep his rage for the Vandenreich growing, every time he hears something heinous they do. Hoping to one day have the power to bring punishment to the emperor for leaving his heritage in pursuit of power and ruling his own kingdom. Leaving his holy path was bad enough, but all the evil deeds he has down up to this point proves he left God for his own lustful desires. He doesn't initially dislike free quincy, they chose not to follow the Vandenreich after all. Vizard's also bring no anger to him unless that vizard is using his powers do cause suffering. The only beings that disgusts him as the emperor does are the beings from hell that escape, if he comes face to face with one, he will make it his priority to punish them for escaping there prison.
While talking with people he isn't familiar with Shawn usually has a small voice and speaks more formal until he understands more about the person. Their are times though where his irritation gets the best of him, prideful bragging and bullying are the most common reasons. After initially getting to know someone he still only trusts his closest friends and allies with information that could potentially harm him. Become a friend to him and he will do his best to help you when you're in need and would rather be the one to lose his life if it means protecting the one's he cares for.

Fighting Style:
Sealed or not, Shawn is a superior fighter using whatever strategy he can (that doesn't muddy his beliefs) to win a battle. Tactical genius is the best words to describe Shawn, as he leads his opponent into allowing him the upper
hand. Always wanting to start with as much of an advantage as possible he relies on a multitude of techniques, ranging from self buffing Hakuda techniques to extremely offensive Hado techniques. He only shows his true potential however when he
releases his zanpakuto, only then can he use his abilities to there highest potential.
Since Shawn is more rash while sealed and not as calm and collected, he takes riskier moves and usually must adapt when he fails. Being able to think quickly on his feet from all the years of training his master has
put him through to prepare him for the future, he is quite able to get the most from these risk's, failed or not. Risky or not however, when a move goes his way it always puts him in a superior advantage, as this is what he plans for with every action taken. In most cases he will begin the
battle with the technique his master taught him, also following up with a hado or bakudo technique if it helps with his position.
Preferring to use bakudo or hado techniques while sealed, he is still very talented with his zanpakuto, using his zanpakuto during close combat and seamlessly uses other techniques when enough distance is between him and his foe. Not preferring one over the other, he will always use hado and bakudo when a situation allows him to get a head of his enemy. Starting with long ranged attacks he will then move into close combat, doing his best to cause the opponent to follow his tempo while setting up the finishing blow. Tactical as he is, he still believe's power is also important, so when a moment calls for it he will power through rather then plan it out, rare as it is for one of his battles to require him to do this.
When he finally gets to the point of being able to release his zanpakuto this will be the first thing he will almost always do, allowing him to immediately become calm and collected, this allows him to think more clearly without letting anger get the better of him. While released he doesn't usually take as many risky actions, however, what he does do tends to progress him as much as a successful risky move would. Using his released zanpakuto, closing the distance is his main goal as his shikai and bankai techniques highly increase his close combat performance. Although he becomes more efficient in close combat after release, he will still use long ranged hado and bakudo as needed.
Although Shawn can work well in groups with people he knows, he prefers to fight alone in order to reduce the chance for his allies and friends to get hurt or worse. This tends to cause him to put his life on the line even more then the average shinigami as he can't stand the idea of losing someone. When a battle seems to be in his enemies favor, he uses his faith to build him up in his mind, allowing him to fight without fear of losing his life. This doesn't mean he acts reckless, just that he doesn't fear death itself as death is just the moment between the next stage, whether its heaven or reincarnation.
Rare though it might be, Shawn does have his own style of fighting without a weapon. Kyusho Jitsu, striking and utilizing pressure points and vital spots in order to impair his foe as much as possible. Learning that he won't always have his zanpakuto in his hands he practiced this martial art using a simple makeshift dummy whenever his master wasn't around, his master showed him some of the strikes and spots. Although his master didn't know many pressure points, Shawn used any spare time not used on searching for his siblings to perfect his forms and precision.
Zanpakutou Spirit Appearance(Optional):[/b]
Shawns zanpakuto spirit looks like a gender less teen about 3'7" in height, skin white as snow and grey eyes with white hair hanging uncombed from its head. Wearing pure white robes and shirt and shorts of the same color underneath trying to be the idea of purity in physical form. This is the appearence for both its Shekai and Bankai form
Quiet and polite,this Zanpakuto spirit tends to be the last one to speak, however, every word that leaves it's mouth seems to hold wisdom that doesn't seem to end. When angry however it seems to grow up to be around 6'6", giving it a very intimidating appearance while it speaks, It's voice also seems to get louder and deeper from it's quiet and higher pitched voice the more upset it gets. This is why Shawn will consistently go into his inner World for advice or sometimes will manifest itself.

A never ending field of white daisies is his normal inner world, the more stress he's under however, changes this field to be more and more barren. This field gains more varieties of daisies in Shikai form and gains a rainbow that is always present while Bankai is activated.
Zanpakutou Appearances:
Sealed: It's form is that of a Jian sword with a 28" blade and Shawn will always have it sheathed on his back so that he must reach over his shoulder for it.
Shikai:
Increasing in length, the blade gains ten extra inches, while also gaining holes going down the blade with a 2 Cm diameter, these holes are separated by 2 inches from each other.
Bankai: The Shikai form remains but Shawn now wears a Pure white Kimono with a white shirt and shorts underneath.

Overall Ability:
The Overall ability of the zanpakuto is the user's reiatsu is condensed and released at high speeds giving it magnetic properties thus making it's them "magnetism". This allows Shawn to pull and push a single target (An opponent or there weapon), allowing Shawn to be adaptable to most situations. While in Shikai this ability would only work on those with less Reiatsu Strength then Shawn but while in Bankai it will work on those that are lower then 2x Shawn's Reiatsu Strength. This is a pretty strong ability, however, every good ability has it's limits. The magnetic property of this Zanpakuto only reaches out about 30 Meters, it also requires Shawn to both be in contact with his Zanpakuto and have visual contact with his target while saying attract or repel (respectively) and can be said mentally with a 1 in mental incantation. Regardless of it being in Shikai or Bankai, the target will only be pushed/pulled in a straight line from the Zanpakuto and will move at 400 speed and if pushed the target will move back 30 Feet (if only targeting a limb it will just be pushed back 2 Feet). Pushing requires 100 Reiatsu while pulling only requires 50.
Shikai Overall Ability:
While in Shikai, the Magnetic properties can only affect one side of a target as Kami no te is not capable of condensing and releasing reiatsu at such a speed to affect the entire target. This would only allow for simply pushing or pulling a target in a straight movement forward or backwards from Kami no te. Kami no te cannot target Shawn and can only target other entities/objects as it cannot fully control the magnetism. While pulling, the target must come completely to Kami no te and Shawn cannot stop it once started.
Bankai Overall Ability:
Bankai condenses and expels reiatsu at such a fast rate that allows Kami no koe to affect the entire target. This allows Kami no koe to fully control it's magnetic effects and allows the targeting of Shawn. This allows for partial pulls and does not need to bring the target fully to Kami no koe, it also allows Kame no koe to magnetize Shawn allowing for more complex technique's.
Zanpakuto Techniques:
Shikai:
Jika shite idō- Causes the ground under target to repel them upward 10 feet. Activation cost: 75 (can use in Bankai)
Limits: Will not work on someone or something in the air already.
Watashi kara gekitai- Expelling a large amount of reiatsu allows the redirection of ranged attacks, this will not change the direction of a weapon in the opponents hand unless it becomes a ranged attack/ Activation Cost: 150
Limits: This only works on class 8-4 based ranged attacks directed at the user and will not work on AoE anchored techniques.
Bankai:
Ugokanai de- After cutting the opponent, they began to feel as if their own reiatsu is pushing them down and leaving them unable to move ( This can be negated by activating a release)/ Activation Cost: 300 and 100 for every additional post
Limit and Drawbacks: User must land a cut to activate and is easy to power through if activating a release. This also wont work on someone who has a weak reiatsu strength and a high strength stat
Kazenoyōni mujūryoku- Allows the user to move as if he was in lower gravity thanks to the reiatsu exploding out of his body acting as a magnetic field increasing speed by 25%/ Activation Cost: 300 initial and 100 for every additional post
Limit and Drawbacks: Although speed is gained, it only affects movement and step technique speed and strength is lost by 25%, both percentages are taken before the Soul Specialist Version 1 boosts and applied after. Using this technique also causes stress on the muscles as they are capable of moving with less resistance and more speed, therefore the longer it's used, the more the muscles tear (this doesnt start until 4 total posts after activation)
Jika to zōfuku- This increases the impact of Kami no koe by 50% for 3 posts/ Activation Cost: 250
Limits and Drawbacks: Must speak the name to activate and having a 1 in mental incantation allows the user to mentally activate the trigger. Since only the impact strength is increased, the base strength is unaffected and allows for those with a stronger strength stat to win in feats of strength as long as the impact of Jika to zōfuku is avoided.
Watashi kara subete o gekitai suru- A more powerful version of Watashi kara gekitai and thus cost more to use/Activation Cost: 200
Limits: This only works on class 8-1 based ranged attacks directed at the user and will disperse anchored Aoe technique's.

Memorable Figures:
Eichi Hāto: This is the man that took Shawn under his wing after entering the soul society, seeing the potential and understanding his beliefs he would teach things that will serve Shawn in the future to protect the ones he will come to care about. Not capable of become a shinigami himself, Eichi teaches Shawn to the best of his abilities to allow him to become what Eichi couldn't, someone with the power to protect others.
Lucy and Robby Rabuburēdo: His sibling's were everything to him after the lose of there parents, they are one of the main reasons he pushes himself to become stronger, so he never has to lose someone like he did them. They died shortly before he did, that's why Shawn consistently looks for them whenever he is in the Rukon district.
Ena and Pamela Rabuburēdo: Losing his parents was hard, but there move to Japan made it possible for him to work to fed his siblings. Thanks to the belief and faith in God they passed down to Shawn, he was always pushing through the hard times knowing there's always worse and he trusted in God.
History:
Born in New York to a family that trusted in God was where his story began, being raised into a family with some money but not a lot helped him to understand life is difficult, but is possible to push through. He was ten before his sister Lucy was born and 13 for his brother Robby, growing up in New York with them until he was 15, they became inseparable, and always wanted to do things together. Playing with his siblings outside after school was what looked forward to, and was excited for church on Sunday. Being raised in a christian family came with its own challenges however, dealing with worldly people without faltering in his faith was a struggle for most of his life, he did overcome this however and paid no attention to those who spat on his belief.
Turning 15 started a whole new journey for them however, when there parents decided to move to japan, his fathers homeland. Thanks to his fathers teachings, he and his siblings became fluent in Japanese, after a long boat ride they finally arrived there. Sadly, when he turn 17 his parents came down with an illness that the doctor couldn't cure, they ended up passing away shortly after, leaving Shawn to watch over his siblings and to provide for them. Consistently working on any job needed to be done, his skills increased and he became more known for his kind heart, not because he worked for food, but because he helped people who couldn't afford to pay much and how he always managed to feed his younger brother and sister. Even if his beliefs were different from the people in his village, he continued to grow in his faith while teaching his siblings.
When he turned twenty years old he figured he would try to work more in a bigger town, but in order to do this he had to bring his siblings with him. With his shy and timid personality he always stayed out of the big crowds when he could, but that couldn't always happen. It was his third time traveling to a bigger town, there was a festival going on and big crowds were unavoidable. Holding on to his brother's and sister's hands he started moving through them, about halfway into the fourth crowd an explosion was heard and something sharp caught him in the cheek, then the crowd began to surge forward. Losing his grip he watched as his brother and sister was trampled by the crowd, and before he himself was caught under the feet of the people running, he see's a man smiling and laughing at the raging fire that used to be a house.
When he first appeared in the soul society he began looking for his siblings, after month's of searching, all he could find was more facts about how the soul society worked and what Shinigami were, he also had to deal with the fact the wound he acquired before death became a lasting scar to remind him of his failure. All the knowledge he acquired during this time shook his belief, but he still held on to his faith with everything he had, trying to piece together what he had been taught while alive to what he learned while in the soul society, he starts to strengthen his faith again and believes that he is in what he could only describe as purgatory. While searching for his siblings he ran into an older man who's appearance was that of a sixty year old, learning that his name was Eichi Hāto, Shawn began to follow him after Eichi listened to his life story and believed this was the person he's been searching for all his time in the soul society. Eichi wasn't capable of forming a zanpakuto and so he couldn't join the Gotei 13, so he started developing techniques and searching for someone worthy to teach who believed what he believed. Thinking that this was his way to follow his faith in God and help protect the soul society, Shawn began learning the few techniques he new.
Hellish training was what Shawn had to perform to learn what his master taught, as well as to become stronger so that he could protect those in the future he would come to care about and allies he would make. Training to hold his concentration while under stress, smacked until he could keep the right posture, and things that were so horrendous he cant even dwell on them. While they weren't training to learn techniques they were strengthening their faith in god, as shawn had come to learn his master was also a christian that went through the same struggle when he firstarrived in the soulsociety.
150 years passed but he finally finished training the basics of fighting and learning the techniques taught to him by his master, now he can only practice until perfected. He might be done training under his master,but he will never be done training and practicing to become stronger and smarter to protect the people around him. While preparing to leave, his master came up to him and gives a necklace to him in order for him to remember how strong he is and how strong he can become, and if all else fails, to have faith in god. Thanking him, Shawn prepares for his journey for knowledge and strength ahead as there is more he must learn before becoming a shinigami.
Leaving his master was the hardest thing Shawn has done since coming to the soul society, but it was a chapter in his life as a soul that had to end. Moving on from there he started to travel towards the seireitei while searching for his siblings, around the 13th west rukon district he began to think about his life while he was alive and wondered if his parents were in the soul society. Traveling through the different districts he learned many things about the world he never knew about, Quincy were humans who had power to control reiatsu and the Vandenreich is an organization created for quincy's by the son of the soul king for personal gain. He also learned that vizards are shinigami who ended up going through a hollowfication process but doesn't necessarily change who they were and that some beings from hell break free of there prison and run free.
This is only a portion of what he learned during the 50 years after leaving his master, and yet there will still be more to learn in the future.
Learning everything he did just grew his faith and proved to him that becoming a shinigami is the final step before heaven, and so he will do everything he can to join the Gotei 13. He must become stronger, stronger then those who mean harm to the soul society, strong enough to protect the people he will grow close to and the allies he will make. Most importantly however, he wants to become stronger and smarter to never let someone be taken away from him and to stop those who enjoy causing others to suffer. This is his resolve to become a shinigami, and nothing will stop him from doing the best he can for God and those he will vow to protect.
