Name: The Meek Shall Inherit
Participants: Maximum of four characters. Characters must be Class 6 or lower. Any races are welcome.
Location: Karakura Town, The Human World
Difficulty Level: Medium
Setting: NDE
Plotline: Recently, people have started to go missing in Karakura town. Not that that would be surprising in and of itself, people go missing all the time in Karakura town due to Hollows, or getting mixed up with Xcution business. But the bizarre thing is that usually, their corpses are found. This was not the case in this instance, and the reason why was discovered shortly after, when a few unseated officers went through the town to scout and ended up finding several of the bodies. The hollow in question, and it's prey, are apparently unable to be detected by seated officers or higher in power, an effect that seems to function against all races. The potential of this Hollow's evolution is almost inconceivable, and thus an order was placed to find and kill it, by any means necessary. Multiple factions have agreed for a brief cease fire for the purpose of hunting down this hollow, and collaborated the strongest of their weaker members,
Estimated Enemy Strength: Enemies will be class 8-6, with one exception
This didn't seem right... Zakuto wasn't the type of hollow to leave bodies around. It wasn't his style of killing. He didn't like this, not a bit. Another hollow hunting on his territory? He was going to devour this trespasser!
Although Zakuto thought he was strong enough to take down this hollow he wasn't. Knowing he need a bit of help he searched town for assistance of the appropriate SpPr. As Zakuto was on his mission he encountered another body. On the outskirts of Karakura town. There is a forest and deep inside the forest lies a cave.
Zakuto still had in his mind that at least 2 fighters were needed. But this was his chance to complete his mission. He needed information and needed the facts. So he just had to wait until a Reaper,Quincy, maybe even a fullbringer! To show up and meet his needs. This hollow might even have a gang. But either way Zakuto was determined to devour this intruder!

Asmoskon had heard over the last week that there had been multiple killing in Karakura Town. This small town in Japan just kept seeming to find its way into Asmoskon's things to do list. Now he was on his way to the small town yet again to solve some kind of mystery that he couldn't quite understand. The people that had been killed all fit the same MO as a hollow attack, but even in a hollow attack there was blood or some part of the body remaining in these last few nothing was left behind as if the body just vanished. While Asmoskon wasn't under anyone's ordered to investigate this problem the Quincy knew that if someone was going to it might as well be him because if he didn't others were going to get hurt.
Asmoskon drove throw Karakura Town all day looking over the areas that the people he found out had gone missing searching for any clues of what exactly happened, but nothing seemed to reveal itself. Now though there was something he sensed something very similar something he felt previously in the past. Then it just seemed to hit him right away it was a hollow that he had fought in the past only a few weeks prior. "That damned Tiger" Asmoskon wasn't sure why he could sense that hollows reiatsu because he didn't think that hollow could pull off something like this in the least. It was clear to him though that the tiger hollow was some distance away and perhaps in league with whatever was causing these people to disappear.
Asmoskon rode through Karakura Town and into the forest that surrounded the tiger hollows reiatsu. Asmoskon arrived to find the tiger waiting outside of a cave after about twenty minutes of driving. Getting off of his bike and placing his helmet on the seat Asmoskon stands in front of his bike staring at the hollow he had fought a few weeks prior. "This wasn't you was it? These don't seem like your kind of thing I bet it's something bigger than you isn't it?" Asmoskon shouted his questions to the hollow making sure that if the beast leaped at him he would be ready to fire off an arrow between its eyes.

She heard through the squads in Soul Society about what was going on in Karakura Town. She wondered if they even went to any other city. Karakura Town was always talked about and she swore she never thought so many hollows and different types of humans could exist in one town. The town wasn't even that big either. It still blew her mind that all that's been going on could happen in one town. The captain commander gathered the squad together and told them what was going on.
He told them that a rash of murders were happening in this little town. She was told that first it was just missing people. They kept an eye on it, but not a true priority. Then, when a patrol found the bodies, they knew that they had all been murdered. They wouldn't be so concerned about it, but the killer was a hollow of unknown strength. The shinigami sent couldn't seem to find it. But, when a relatively new shinigami was with some more veteran shinigami, the new shinigami was able to sense where this hollow was. She thought that was weird, but no one truly knows the full capacity of a hollow.
Because of this little fact, they were going to send in weaker shinigami. After the orders were sent, the captain commander wanted someone from Squad One to go. Alone. Since she was the newest, Hotaru got to go. She was a little nervous, but from the intel Soul Society has received, it seemed that others were arriving in the area, wanting to search to see what was going on. She was glad she wouldn't be alone, but was curious to see who would be there.
She gated to the town, landing in the outskirts. She had reviewed the data found by the previous teams, so she knew what was going on. She then sensed a familiar reiatsu and one that felt like a hollow. Intrigued, she followed the signatures. They led her into the forest near town. It was a familiar place to her, especially what had happened here. She hadn't even thought about it for awhile, since she promised him she would keep him a secret.
When she arrived, she had been right. The same Quincy she had fought before was there. I guess he was right and they did meet again. Next to him, however, was a hollow. She almost immediately attacked, but she noticed that he was on the defensive, but not actively attacking him. He must have had a run-in with this hollow before. She walked over to him, keeping her eyes on the hollow. The hollow was weak and she assumed he couldn't have done all the killing.
"Hello again Masurao Asmoskon. I have done what you asked and not told a single soul in Soul Society about you. I hope that you have been well. I also have practiced more of my speed. Is this the hollow we are searching for? Or is it here to search for the hollow who did this?
While she talked, her hand was at her blade, ready to draw it in case the hollow decided to attack.

Although at a casual glance, the three seemed like a strange trio to be fighting alongside each other, they all had their reasons. Hotaru of course had been given orders by the Captain Commander of Soul Society to go forward and address the issue directly, putting on the best image possible for Soul Societies temporary allies. Asmoskon was helping out of the goodness of his heart, which was his way. If only there were more Quincies like him, and few of the Vandenreich, then the spiritual world as a whole would likely be a better place. And then there was Zakuto, who despite what he claimed, was not here simply out of territorial predator urges. No, he was here because his organization, The Escudo, ordered him to find this creature, and kill it discreetly. However, the other two likely wouldn't know, because he was told not to let that information slip upon penalty of death.
The bodies that had been discovered were all fairly unique. Most hollows ate people whole, and simply spat out their bones later, but this one seemed to have different tastes. It ate out the eyes, the jaw, and the ears, leaving a disfigured face but relatively intact body. Furthermore, there were strange strands of reiatsu on it. None of the three had sufficient energy sensory to deduce the properties of the reiatsu, but it likely had something to do with the ability to hide it from stronger enemies. The more they did, the more it felt like an incomplete murder mystery. They knew the monster was hiding, but not where. They knew that the monster was weak, but stronger than them. They knew it primarily hunted in Karakura Town itself, although it left the bodies outside of the city. The process of elimination was getting them nowhere. They did have one lead, however. Early reports said that the first two bodies found, to be blunt, smelt like shit. And the first victim found was a Sanitation worker. Two key bits of information that could give them a helpful clue as to where the hollow spent most of its time.

Things had taken a turn in a direction that Asmoskon would have never expected. To think that a former hollow that he had fought would be apparently looking for the same source of the deaths. While on top of that a Shinigami would arrive to deal with the same problem. Let alone Hotaru a rather friendly and especially respectful and honorable girl that Asmoskon had the unlucky time of dealing with only a few weeks earlier. At least one of the two individuals that had arrived was one that ended in a good way. Now it seemed that they would work together to find and eliminate this threat.
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend" Asmoskon spoke the famous quote that nearly every single living human on the face of the planet knew toward both individuals. This was a chance to work alongside not only a Shinigami that shared his ideals, but a hollow who might see reason through the experience. "We must work together to find and eliminate whatever has caused these killings. If you both agree I will not tolerate either of you striking each other down while hunting this thing. The fact is at this moment that we are allies. Save each other for another day." Asmoskon spoke with the true voice of a leader each word hopefully acting like a wave of inspiration and encouragement.
Asmoskon felt bad that he hadn't responded to Hotaru's own statement right away seeing that it was in a sense rude, but this wasn't the time to speak to her solely and action was essential. Turning toward Karakura Town and beginning to walk through the forest. "The best chance we have is to search the town and see if we can find it before or during the next attack. Lets go both of you." Asmoskon knew that his aura and attitude would seem striking and conflicting for Hotaru after their last meeting while it would be perfect for the hollow. Whatever had been killing the innocent was in for quite a surprise because it was being hunted for sore enemies something that nearly never happens.

This was the one of the weirdest pairings she could think of. There was Asmokon, who she had a friendly battle with before and was a respectable Quincy. Then, there was the hollow, who she assumed had no honor or respect for anything or anyone. All hollows destroy and she figured this one was no different. It also seemed that all of them were going to try to solve this. She had to team up with the hollow. Not one of her most favorite things to do, but she guessed it couldn't be helped.
She looked to Asmokon when he started to speak. He was right, they had to work together. She wasn't going to like it, but she had no other way to do it. This was her job after all. He then said that the best chance was to search the town and wait to find it. She was going to suggest the same thing. It seems that he knows this hollow and that's why he took charge. He's trying to keep the hollow in line. It was a really good idea. It didn't really bother her that he was ignoring her. She knew the job took precedence.
"I will agree to what you say. But, I will still keep an eye on him. Never can be too careful. I agree that we should search the town. Since that's where the attacks are taking place, it would be best to do as you said. I really hope we are able to find this hollow before it does any damage. I don't want anymore innocent souls getting hurt because of this hollow."

And so, the trio made their way towards town, with Asmoskon leading the pack. A good thing to, as he was the only one who would be visible by the inhabitants of Karakura town. At least, the regular ones. Hotaru wasn't in a Gigai, and Zakuto still was a spiritual creature for the most part. The forest was north of Karakura town, and although the group was relatively far into the forest, they moved quickly. They reached the edge of Karakura town within ten minutes, and proceeded inwards quickly. The best place to start would likely be the docks, or rather the warehouses alongside the docks, where many hollows hid during the daytime when prey was harder to come by. Easily skirting along the edges of town, they made their way to the docks, and found that one of the warehouses had a bloody handprint on the door, which bode poorly to say the very least. Did they dare enter? It was unsure if their target lurked within, or if it was just another Hollow, but regardless it had clearly killed a human.
(OOC: Apologies for the short post, but it was more of a transitional one. Zakuto get's to start next, then Asmoskon, then Hotaru (returning to old post order). If you enter, describe your actions upon entering, and nothing else. Don't extrapolate.)
"Hmmm, this is quite an interesting group." Zakuto said for once actually stunned. "I suppose we'll be seeing a lot of each other during this time if hardship." He was interested in seeing how this would work out. The Quincy fought with him before and the Shinigami he had just barely escaped from. These were two he would need to look out for. The Quincy seemed to be attempting to take charge of the odd "team". The Shinigami was just going along with whatever. "I mean you no harm at the time Soul Reaper. The three of us want to get rid of the killer. So we may just have to be neutrals."
Zakuto decided he would let the Quincy make all the difficult choices. The hollow of shadows knew nothing of leading either way. Only following orders from the higher ranked. Zakuto was sent to eliminate this hollow by the Escudo. It was a secret mission though. The penalty for giving information out was death. He sure as hell wouldn't do that. "All right Quincy lead the way." Zakuto finally said sighing. He would just have to use the help of these two to devour the killer.

It had been ten minutes since Asmoskon formed the group of enemies into a short alliance. The group had been walking south back toward Karakura Town. It was during this time that Asmoskon had decided to search in the most apparent area. If nothing else the best way to search was from the outside in not the other way around. This was done by going to the outskirts of the docks. Once the single warehouse that bore the bloody hand print was found everything seemed to fall into place.
"Alright don't let your guards down its wide on the inside so it's possible it's hiding. Zakuto if you can make sure to gain the element of surprise. Hotaru stay close with me." Once the final words had been spoken Asmoskon signaled with his right hand moving his pointer and middle fingers forward while stepping into the warehouse. Concentrating his reiatsu into his left hand the pitch black long bow appeared from nothingness into the grasp of its wielder.

Well, ten minutes had passed, based on her fancy cell phone. It actually seemed pretty quick for the three of them to travel that far. She looked around at her comrades. She looked at the hollow again and recognized him. She couldn't believe that she didn't see it before. It was that tiger hollow she had fought before. He ran away the last time, but she guessed he got more courage since then to be here with them. The hollow told her that it meant her no harm this time and they would just have to remain netural. She gave it a slight nod of agreement, but would still keep an eye out just in case.
When they finally stopped, she noticed that they were at the docks. Soul Society always thought that most hollows that were in the human world and weren't hunting would end up in a place like this. It made complete sense. It was big enough and dark enough on the inside that a hollow could stay very comfortably in there, as long as no human went in. While Asmokon looked, she was looking around as well. It seemed he found the warehouse before her.
She walked over to him and saw the same thing he did, a bloody handprint. She could tell that it wasn't too fresh. It meant that something had definitely killed a human and went into the warehouse. She looked over to Asmokon when he started to give out directions. He wanted the hollow, who's name she learned was Zakuto, to get the element of surprise. It made sense, since this hollow was good with it based off their fight. She logged away the hollow's name and that Asmokon has fought him before. Asmokon both of them to go in, staying close together with their guards up. It was a good plan. This human was a pretty good strategist. She looked at him and said, "Very well, I will follow what you say. You go for the left and I'll take the right." While Asmokon made his bow appear, Hotaru unsheathed her zanpaktou and followed him in in a defensive stance, keeping her eyes peeled.
He had been walking with the group for what seemed like 10 minutes. Then they came across a warehouse. Deciding to check it out the silently snuck through the doors. There had been a handprint though. Not just any handprint, it was printed with blood! Zakuto hissed with delight when he saw this. Because of the simple reason of it meaning they were closer to finding the hollow. He hoped that the hollow would he here. That would save them a whole lot of time. And Zakuto was impatient so this was a great idea to him. But the chances for the murderer being found so quickly were low. Of course he knew this, but he always shot that thought down. The group was inside now looking around.
"Zakuto try to gain to element of surprise. Hotaru stay by me." The Quincy was taking action with his leader role again. How Zakuto hated him being a leader. Whatever, he would have to get used to it for now. He grunted and took to the shadows of the warehouse. All the shelves and boxes provided plenty of darkness. Just the way he liked it.

While Asmoskon and Hotaru both drew their weapons and entered, Zakuto entered at an unexpected angle, seeking to remain in the shadows of the edges of the warehouse. The inside of the warehouse was fairly sizable, but barren of crates, which was odd to say the least. The lightbulbs in the large sets of fluorescent lights that hung along the middle of the roof of the warehouse had all been smashed to pieces, and the only light that entered was through the window that was located on the ceiling of the warehouse, like a sunroof. This didn't feel like a warehouse, although the outside had suggested otherwise. The acoustics in the building were odd, giving each word an echo, but one that seemed to come from right over the speaker's shoulder. However, the bizarreness of the area wasn't exactly the most pressing matter.
In the center of the warehouse laid the coiled figure of a Hollow. It appeared to be a snake like creature, with scales that shimmered like black jewelry. Unlike a snake however, it had one set of limbs about four feet away from it's head, down about a third of the way of it's body. As the three entered, It's eyes opened, and the fact that they were totally white was slightly unnerving. One thing was for sure, however, this wasn't the Hollow that they were looking for. It's reiatsu was wrong, and it didn't seem nearly as powerful. Not to mention the fact that although the warehouse wasn't particularly pleasant, it didn't smell like bodily waste in the way that their target was described to smell like.
As the three entered, the beast uncoiled, and using it's arms, pushed off of the ground, flying back towards the rear of the warehouse, darting into the shadows. Even though the three couldn't see where the Hollow was, they could hear it, it's scales sliding against the walls and ground, echoing through the warehouse. This wasn't going to be a fun fight, that much was certain.

Entering into the warehouse was the easier thing to bare something that Asmoskon hadn't believed was possible until the sight of the hollow. At the first sight of the beast Asmoskon began to study and analyze as much as he could immediately knowing that it would be one of the deciding factors of victory or defeat. At the short distance between the two spiritual beings Asmoskon could tell that this hollow most likely wasn't the one that had killed the many humans. However, the fact that there had been a hand print of blood pushed Asmoskon's feelings to eliminate the creature before any other innocent people got killed.
Now as the hollow rises and Asmoskon notices the arms about four feet from the skull of the beast. Judging the size at about twelve feet long Asmoskon knew that this hollow was small and most likely utilizes speed. Just as the Quincy raised his bow and began to pull back on the string concentrating his reiatsu into an arrow the hollow leaped from the floor into the shadows of the warehouse hidden from his sight. This was the moment that truly mattered if he was going to act like a leader then he needed to be one.
"Hotaru stay close and watch out it's going to rely on speed. Zakuto! be ready it's in the shadows and will going to be fast" Asmoskon hated that he had so little to inform his group of enemies. This was his first test in his own opinion to fulfill his destiny and prove that all races can work alongside one another. Asmoskon knew that to defeat this first hollow they were most likely going to have to either be faster or work together in some fashion. In preparation for the sight of the hollow again Asmoskon generates a single dark red reiatsu arrow on his bow as he holds it vertically in front of his body.
Zakuto had been scaling the walls of the warehouse with his not quite but "talons" I suppose. They couldn't be though because he's not a bird. Nor does he have any wings. Zakuto tried to search stealthily. But his claws against the solid cinder block walls kept making a Scritch Scritch Scritch noise. He didn't have enough speed to outrun even the weakest hollow. Maybe he would equal to their speed but not higher. So that's why he joined up with the other two. The Quincy named Asmoskon and was it the Shinigami Hotaru? A trio of attackers against this hollow should be good enough. It would wouldn't it? He hoped that it would.
Zakuto had been lost in thought so much he had dropped his guard. He thought he heard a scraping against the wall. No, like I said he dropped his guard. He must have been thinking too hard. Of course that could happen. To anybody at that. Oh well it was time to check out the center. Wait, what the hell was that?!? Zakuto roared to alert the others. Damnit, the thing was really there! It looked like a worm with legs. Time to get this party started.
