The Meek Shall Inherit [PG-13, NDE, Adventure]

The snow haired shinigami looked on as his slash had cut deep into the strange creatures arm. He had succeeded in his plan to actually cut this thing. He felt satisfaction that he was the one to have it appear and damage it, despite the efforts of other Shinigami. However, it didn't seem to register on his face; but then again, what did? In any case, Takashi simply stood watching as the monster began to growl towards all of them, ready to tear them all apart. Takashi's blue diamond like eyes simply watched the strange creature. Takashi noticed the creature take on a rat like appearance. It seemed both Asmos and Hotaru were eager to rush in.

However, the shinigami wasn't so eager as the other two. He simply looked on as he watched Asmos fire a projectile towards the creature. In addition, Hotaru seemed to once more unleash her shikai; something he had seen before. She seemed to attack the creature, getting in close and attempting to burn it. He simply blinked a few times as he looked towards it. Takashi simply held out his sword to the right, the sheath in reverse grip on his left and he watched the strange creature to see what attacks it would make. It would be nonsensical to jump in while Hotaru was burning this thing and attacking it.

The Hollow, apparently overly focused on patching it's wounds, didn't expect such an overwhelming assault. Although it's left hand lashed out and caught one hatchet, and it's right arm began to move to catch the other one, it couldn't defend against the arrow that hit it directly in the center of mass. The arrow ripped straight through it, and although it's flesh began to shift in order to attempt to repair the wound, it still clearly felt that. And as it stumbled back, attempting to gain it's bearings in response to the Quincy's attack, it was unable to endure the assault of the angry Shinigami.

Hotaru's flash step took wounded Hollow by surprise, and it was unable to dodge the series of blows that Hotaru directed towards it. The fire that landed on it burned through it's flesh, and it's screams clearly indicated that it couldn't heal fast enough. Her final blow, a slash directly at the beasts midsection, severed the Hollow clean in two, and it's upper body fell backwards while it's lower half fell forward. The body disintegrated, starting from either end and working into the center. It was over. The beast was slain.

As the three looked around the room, the ornate decorations were deteriorating and vanishing. The little home that the Hollow had created was no more, and instead, the true nature of it's lair was revealed. Dirty, filth ridden, covered in trinkets of it's victims. A substantial amount of Ryo, either in the form of the money itself or in easily sellable gems and other valuables, was located, as well as a strange black bracelet.

Item Description:
This small, black bracelet is typically worn around the wrist one of the user’s hands, the one they use to draw back a bowstring. Although technically it can be used by any race, this item is mostly useful for Quincies, as it allows them to fire individual arrows at a significantly heightened speed. For 75 Reitsu, the Quincy can increase the speed of one arrow they fire this post by a flat 200. This ability can be used a maximum of three times per post, and cannot be used on the same arrow. However, the true power of this item comes with Quincies who know a Movement tech. For the cost of the technique, and an additional 150 reitsu in addition to that, they can increase the speed of one arrow per post by a third of the Movement tech’s speed increase.

[Hotaru Kuchiki-Masurao]

She watched as Asmoskon's arrow hit him straight in the middle of his body. It was a really good shot. The hollow tried to catch some attacks, but was definitely unprepared for their onslaught. When she attacked, she noticed that her hollow was completely caught off guard. She watched as her fire burned the hollow and her sword cleaved it in two. She was glad that they were finally able to defeat the hollow.

She watched as the hollow's furnishings disappeared and the sewer came back. She looked at a bracelet and a huge sum of money. She walked up to the bracelet. She grabbed it with her left hand. It looked nice, but she doesn't wear jewelry so she would let the guys fight over it. She took a deep breath and willed Rivu~aiasan back to his seal formed. She watched as her sword turned back to normal and her sheath appeared in her left hand. She sheathed her sword and secured it back on her belt.

Then, she counted how much money there was. It was 20,000. She took half of it and walked back to the group. She held her hand out to Takashi, hoping he would shake it. Hotaru then moved onto Asmoskon. "Well, I took half the money. The both of you can divvy out the rest among yourselves." She brought Asmoskon into a hug and then whispered only loud enough so he could hear, "I wrote down my phone number. Look me up sometime and we can hang out more. I love hanging out with you."

Before she pulled away, she gave him a kiss on the cheek. She gave Asmoskon a quick wink. She really hoped that he used that number. She wasn't lying when she told him that she liked hanging out with him. He was a fun guy to be around. She looked over at Takashi. Since they were going to the same place, she figured they could just travel together. She walked forward and the spirit gates appeared. She looked over her shoulder at Takashi. "Since we're going to the same place, would you like to ride together?"

It seemed as though the hollow had been defeated. Takashi had completed his mission. Hotaru held her hand out and Takashi gave it a shake. He looked at her with a rather blank stare, bored out of his mind it seemed. "It seems as though my task here is complete.". He then turned back to Asmos He said bowing slightly. "A pleasure as always". It was only a few seconds as he whipped out his cell phone and pressed a few buttons. He flipped it back and turned to give Hotaru and Asmoskon some privacy. He didn't say anything until the gates would once again open.

"It isn't of me to take something that simply spilled out of a hollow. Please take what you will, I will receive my compensation from soul society. Now, come along Hotaru". With that, Takashi saw the gates open in front of him. He stepped through it and walked towards the white light as he left the two behind. He wasn't a man of many words and this was yet another case that would show this. It was back to soul society to report what he had done and the tasks he had completed. In his mind, he wondered more about the hollow they slew just now. For now, he would push it aside and he continued to casually walk through the gate that connected worlds.

(OOC: Gonna take 10,000 in the form of soul society payment. I assume the bracelet would be left for Asmoskon unless he wants something else or more money. Ps: plz grader luv Takashi for his smurtness. The end)

[✠Asmoskon Masurao✠]

Asmoskon although in a moment of pure rage noticed that the hollow had managed to catch one of his hatchets. Preparing his left hand to materialize his bow once again Asmoskon's eyes shrunk and his rage broke as Hotaru came into view on the side on the hollow. Everything that followed was pilled tightly together and seemed to be like a flash itself. Although Asmoskon could hear the hollow scream which signaled to him that the arrow he fired from his right palm had hit its mark he couldn't stop starring at Hotaru. The sheath of her zanpakuto was no longer present.

Starring in awe Asmoskon realized that Hotaru must have released her zanpakuto. That was the only logical explanation to both the disappearance of her sheath and the rather bulky cannon that seemed to be attached to her left arm. Had Hotaru really succeeded in achieving her Shikai and if so then how had she done so in such a short amount of time. Although proud of his friend for achieving such a feat Asmoskon couldn't help, but be envious. It seemed that Hotaru had managed to push pass him in terms of achievement which was made clear by her next attack.

Asmoskon watched now with his arms crossed over his chest as Hotaru fired off a large amount of fire from the cannon. The screams of the hollow were as louder and than Asmoskon could even imagine. It might have ben a painful death, but for once Asmoskon felt a creature deserved such a fate. Hotaru's finishing attack against the hollow not only cleaved the beast to death, but also revealed that her strength had been pushed to new heights far above his own. There was only one person Asmoskon could compare the strength that Hotaru had at her disposal to now and that was Iwa.

As the hollows body disintegrated into nothingness Asmoskon relaxed. It was only then that he had realized that Hotaru had attempted to aid his injury. He must have gotten caught up in the moment before his last assault that he didn't notice. Bringing up his right hand Asmoskon attempts to wipe away some of the blood from his face and clear his vision. It took a few moments for everything to become less tinted red and more grimy and disgusting again.

Everything seemed to be returning to normal for a sewer. Although Asmoskon wasn't happy to be standing once again in such a place especially with the injury to his head he was shocked by everything that was revealed. After a few moments of collecting certain items that Asmoskon had learned had gone missing from victim he heard Hotaru approaching. Asmoskon had so much to speak with her about he was going to explain that the items needed to be given to the family of the victims and her Shikai. Yet the item that she held in her hand seemed to banish all his thoughts from his mind.

There was something about the bracelet it seemed familiar somehow. It was like the item spoke to him or had some kind of gravity to it. If nothing else Asmoskon knew he wanted that bracelet, but he couldn't put his mind on why exactly. Asmoskon was caught off guard when Hotaru hugged him due to the fact he was lost in thought over the bracelet. However, everything seemed to like messing with his head at the moment because Hotaru's next words pushed the bracelet out of his thoughts. Asmoskon knew they were friends, but the way Hotaru spoke implied something deeper.

Still caught off guard Asmoskon couldn't even react as Hotaru kissed his cheek. The only reaction being the instant blush and increased redness to his face. "Damn it all the one thing I have no clue about." Asmoskon's thoughts rushed throughout his mind Asmoskon he felt the small paper in his hand. He turned after a few moments of collecting himself. Seeing that both Shinigami were departing Asmoskon waved them farewell for the time being and started his long travel back to Tokyo.
