Rescue Party!

[Hotaru Kuchiki-Masurao]

Hotaru, thankfully, made it into the elevator to outrun the Quincy that was attacking her. Right before the doors shut, however, she saw a hand stop the doors from closing completely. When the doors opened again, she noticed that it was Aevus. She was glad that he was able to make it out of the predicament he faced, but she was kind of surprised he was able to run into her so quickly. Unless, more time had passed than she had originally thought, which was a little unsettling for her.

The look in his eyes, though, made Hotaru pretty angry. It was almost like he was telling her to wait for him. It annoyed her to no end. Then, when the door were closing the second time, she saw one of the green arrows hit the ceiling of the room. She watched the trajectory and saw that it would land inside the elevator. When it did, it bounced and hit her in the left bicep. She was sure the Quincy was pleased, but she didn't curse until the doors shut. When they did, she yelled loudly.

It was painful, but there was another reason she did this. If Aevus had just run faster and made it into the elevator, the doors wouldn't have had to open and close again, and the arrow wouldn't have came into the elevator. Instead, it would've bounced off the closing elevator doors. But, because of what he did, the arrow came in a injured her. She glared at the man. The man who dared who look at her to wait for him. He was the one that made his choice.

While she was glaring at the man, she physically slapped him across the face. How dare he think that she should wait for him. She said that she would be back and she would've gone back for him. To her, the mission was more important, especially this one. Also, from the way she first met the man, she would've figured that he would be better with infiltration then getting separated and doing what he did. "The slap was the payback for the injury I have now because of you. Please, next time, be more cautious of you surroundings so this doesn't happen again." She stared forward, keeping the arrow in her arm to stop the blood flow and waiting to close it with her release power.

Jak's eyes slowly started to open. His vision was blurry and darkness still lingered around the edges of his site. He couldn't feel anything right now, but he already felt like shit. As his vision cleared, he felt the pain rack his body from the battle. He couldn't remember what had happened exactly, but he remembered a wall and a bunch of arrows. His head was pounding and his muscles ached. He could use some more rest, but something told him that he needed to be awake.

He could feel like he was moving. He stayed still unsure who or what was carrying him off. He was still not in the condition to fight whatever it was. He couldn't help but let out a low groan though. His body felt like it got hit by a truck. Then the memories started to come back slowly. He remembered where he was, and what had happened. He was captured. Captured by the quincies. He swore in his head wondering what they would do to him. 

He had to think of a way out of this mess. For now all he could do was wait. He could not fight them now, and if he tired, he may not be waking up this time. He started to shift looking around to see who exactly was carrying him. It was the Quincy he was fighting. There was another one in front of him. He must be their commander or something. He turned to look at the one carrying him. "Hey you think you can walk a little smoother, its a little rough up here." He still hadn't lost his sense of humor.

It had seemed that they hadn't escaped, fully unscathed from the fray. One arrow had found itself in that elevator with them, bouncing off the very walls. Next it would pierce the very flesh of his partner and it was Aevus's fault and both of them clearly knew it. A glare would signify that, beating him down with such intensity, it nearly crippled him right there. Followed by a smack across the face, Aevus would lean back his eyes trailing to the elevator floor beneath him as if he were some misbehaved child. It clearly stung But the emotional weight, the fact that he had caused that injury stung much more.

"The slap was the payback for the injury I have now because of you. Please, next time, be more cautious of you surroundings so this doesn't happen again."

A sigh would leave him as he looked back to her, a stoic expression painted his visage and next his eyes would narrow on that glare. A red mark still clinging to his face, in the very shape of her hand. He would now sheath his blade, yet he would never leave that girls intense gaze. In those eyes he saw something much more than anger or even annoyance. He saw focus, The focus to see something through and right here and now he would point that out to the woman. He would use this time to force her to answer his questions. The sound of his handle clicking on to the end of his sheath echoed in that small elevator and what she had said would not be met with silence but with questions.

"That look in your eyes I recognize it." Aevus would stare into her very eyes as he spoke his tone was but a subtle whisper yet he was rather serious as he continued. "That focus. This mission, it means more to you then you've let on doesn't it? I can tell by that look so don't bother denying it. You can question me all you want about not killing those Quincy back there, you can punish or even hit me again it wont change a thing." His eyes would now narrow on hers. "I'm sorry for causing that injury but this mission I can tell it's personal to you, you must know someone here, a prisoner would be my first guess." That blue eyed glare would not leave her as he continued. "Now I'll let you know something, I will only kill if I need too, I didn't become a Shinigami to become a murderer and if you have a problem with it, I'll gladly deal with the consequences after we're done here. But for now, you're stuck with me."

He was serious as he spoke to her, his narrowed gaze never leaving hers. The consequences of his words, of his very actions he was ready to pay for them. In truth, he felt horrible for that injury she had just received and having no medical supplies or barely any knowledge on the matter didn't help. He was no help to her on this mission but a hindrance. It wasn't a choice and he certainly would not leave her now, not when she had been injured. No matter how frail, even it were but a scratch. He couldn't leave her, not now. It was beyond either of their control but as he had already said she was stuck with him.

Well it seemed that the two Shinigami were both getting on nerves against each other at one of the worst possible times. They were now successfully moving down into the prison of this fortress. What both of them seemed to be forgetting though is even if they managed to get to the prisoners they would not only have to figure out how to release those captured, but also managed to get out of the fortress again with all of the prisoners in tow.

It wasn’t going to be easy for the mission to be a success that much these three should have known from the very beginning yet now there numbers were separate and the one that seemed to be the leader and most powerful was injured. She might not have suffered an incredible wound, but none the less any wound in this type of situation could just make things for too difficult and lean the scales in the favor of the adversaries. After the elevator reached the bottom a total of seventy stories below the surface of the earth the doors would open revealing a long white hallway that seemed to stretch out at least one hundred feet.

As the elevator had been moving downwards at a pretty good clip of speed though the Vandenreich Quincy had moved to the side of the tower opening the secret entrance to the prison. The half demon awaked to have awoken yet for his smart ass comment he was slapped across his face. However, the hand that moved across his face wasn’t pleasant it was sharp with nails that clawed into his cheek causing four cuts that dripped blood. “You really should just be quiet demon.” It might come off as strange that the Quincy that had actually defeated Jak was giving him advice for the commander had been the one to slap him.

The secret entrance was revealed to be actually nothing more than an empty hole in the side of the tower that dropped down into darkness. It seemed that this hole went all the way down to the prison and immediately after it was opened the Quincy all proceeded to leap into the hole dropping down ever faster than the elevator would get the Shinigami down. As the Shinigami would walk out of the elevator the two Quincy that they had been fighting would drop from the hallway ceiling about half way down the hallway. Then the Quincy that had defeated the half demon with him on his shoulder would drop. Finally followed by the commander who dropped behind them all hidden from view.

The Quincy holding the half demon stepped towards the Shinigami moving in front of the others by a couple of feet and then threw the demon on the ground in front of him. He was displaying that Jak had been defeated and that this mission to save the prisoners was over and that they would die here and now. “You know I really don’t like that you all took time away from my favorite prisoner. I was having such a good time and then I have to leave everything because the fucking alert starts going off. Well just for taking away the time I deserve I’ll be taking away the time you don’t you filth!” The commander walked out from behind the three Quincy and it was revealed to be a young girl that looked no older then sixteen. She was short with long blonde hair her clothing was that of the others with a few medals yet everything looked messed up and just rushed about how she wore it.

After Hotaru slapped Aevus, she did feel a little bad. All of that that happened was just reflex based on her anger towards getting injured. She hadn't planned to get injured yet, so the injury threw her off. Also, it being his fault didn't help matters any. Though, while she looked at Aevus with her glare, it seemed that he was looking at her too, but in a different manner. She wasn't going to break the stare, but it was weird that he was doing this towards her. She had no idea why he was doing it.

He sheathed his sword, and she could tell that he wanted to ask her questions. She just didn't know if he would act on his instinct and actually ask them. She didn't know how he responded to authority either, so she was ready for whatever he was going to do in the next few moments. She knew that if he did anything funny, she could easily shut him down, but she needed him for this mission. She would deal with whatever the man had to say, either for good or bad.

He started to talk, issues statements and answering his own questions. He flat out told her that he would not kill unless he needed to. He was still naive with these Quincy. She now knows that Vandenreich Quincy are true evil, her experience with one in particular completely ruined her life. She would never make the mistake to talk before attacking with the Vandenreich again. She would make sure that she would right the wrong she had made against the only person that was important to her over her family.

When he said she was stuck with him, she nodded her head in agreement. She was pretty much stuck with him, but she would deal with it. She wasn't going to let this get her down any, if at all. As long as he followed orders and stayed out of the way, she would have no issues with the man. After that little exchange, the elevator stopped at the bottom and opened up onto another hallway. She had to avert her gaze a bit, going from bright hallway, dark elevator to another insanely bright hallway.

After her eyes got adjusted to the light, she started to run down the hallway, thankful that they finally made it to the prison. Once they got to the end of the hallway, it was darker but she was a little surprised. The amount of prisoners held here was ridiculous. She immediately tried to have any sense if Asmoskon was even held here, but with all the other people, she had no way of trying to figure out if he was here. She ran into a huge open space, and right before her, the Quincy that attacked her and Aevus dropped from the ceiling as well as one that carried Jak.

So, it seemed like he took his own way and was defeated in the process. His hot headedness, she figured, would not be good for this kind of situation, and this was the proof. She was down one ally, but at least he was still breathing. She could see his chest move up and down while he was breathing. Jak got thrown in front of them. She stared at him and found him probably in pain, but in fairly good condition. She listened to the next person that talked and was surprised that these Quincy was protecting a child, still a teenager, but she could feel the increase in power between them. So, she was the leader here. She got in her normal stance and glared at the woman. She was going to wait and let her make the first move.

Jak felt the slap on his face though he could not really see by who from the way he was being carried. He felt the nails dig into his skin and cause some cuts. He growled low, but the Quincy that was carrying him advised him to keep quiet. He still didn't feel up to fighting them at the moment, so he took the Quincy's advice and kept quiet for the remainder of the trip though that didn't mean that he wasn't going to plan a way out of this mess.

He saw that they approached a hole in the ground. That did not look good at all. He sighed inwardly as they jumped in one after another. They fell for a while, but landed at the bottom of the prison. If they could have found this place, then they would have been in and out a whole lot quicker. Oh well, he thought wondering what was going to happen to him now. He heard an elevator open and the shinigami came down the hall stopping before the group of Quincy.

Jak was thrown at the feet of the Shinigami roughly. He grunted at the impact with the ground. He got to his feet slowly. His muscles still hurt, but he was able to push through the pain and looked back at the Shinigami. "Hey don't be so concerned. They haven't killed us yet." He smiled confidently as he turned to the Quincy. He thought that he might as well get some answers while he is here before the fighting continues. 

"Before you kill us, isn't this the part where we get a last request?" He would continue before they could interrupt. "If so, I actually have two small ones." He paused to phrase his question. "I have a small question for yall, have anyone here, well two of you, attacked a young man about sixteen or seventeen wit an arm similar to mine? Shot him in the back and left him for dead?" He would wait for a response before continuing whatever it may be.

He looked to the Shinigami with a wink and held his right hand behind his back with three fingers extended. The Quincy were close in a closed environment, this took away their advantage over Jak. "Now the last thing i wanted is an actual request." His held two fingers his arm starting to glow a blaze. He then held one finger a few moments later as it got hotter. "I would request you die!" He clenched his fists as he used his step technique getting right up in the face of the Quincy.

He threw his fist out from behind his back aiming for the middle Quincy. If the Quincy didn't move, he would have been hit with the force of the fist and the subsequent explosions. The explosions would hurt the other Quincy's around him moving down the hallway a short ways before fading. Jak would be hit with the force as well. He hoped that the Shinigami would take the hint and attack while they were busy with the explosions.

Aevus was answered with but a simple nod and with that came silence. She might as well have not done anything at all. She was obviously ignoring the confrontation and it showed clear as day. His questions must have been personal to her or perhaps he was wrong in his assumptions in the first place. But maybe it would have just led to more conflict and so maybe it was best that she had just nodded instead of confronting him about the entire thing. I mean in time, he would figure out if he was right or not about the whole thing, so why worry now? That was just it, there was more to worry about than petty assumptions and he could just tell by that look in her eyes. Just by that, he knew for a fact he was right.

The elevator took its sweet time as it moved down further into that hellhole of a prison. Aevus could feel the strangulation of the place, confining him as they dug themselves deeper in that pit. There was no going back now, tapping the handle of his blade Aevus would stand at ready as those blasted elevator doors began the open. He wouldn't be surprised if they weren't met with a battalion of Quincy just waiting to slaughter them at their arrival.

Following his superior down that hallway, his sandaled feet just soundly beating against the ground beside hers. They must of been getting close to their destination for what came next would be nothing but surprising. Three bodies fell from the very ceiling, two revealing themselves as non other than the previous Quincy they had just escaped. The other someone different all together. He would toss forth a body and Aevus’s eyes would narrow for a second as they set upon an ally. The demon had been defeated or had he?

There was also a child no older than Aura would have been, her long blonde hair truly offsetting. Her uniform was decorated with medals, signaling that she was a commanding officer of these Quincy or just a higher rank. It had seemed, Quincy came in many ages, but a young girl non the less, that was surprising. Aevus would keep himself set on the girl, he couldn't let down his guard for a second. Even if this was a child, she was still a Quincy, she was still a threat to him and his company. But most of all she was an obstacle, that was clearly blocking their path.

“You know I really don’t like that you all took time away from my favorite prisoner. I was having such a good time and then I have to leave everything because the fucking alert starts going off. Well just for taking away the time I deserve I’ll be taking away the time you don’t you filth!”

Aevus would listen keenly to the young girls ramblings, his left hand still held firmly to the handle of his Zanpakuto. But then he would hear the demon speak, his blue eyes slowly trailing to the creatures position. What was this demon going on about? It was than that he spotted the wink, oh this demon was up to no good. They were outnumbered, not only that but these Quincy had the advantage. Alone Aevus was having trouble against just one of these Quincy how would he fair against four? But no, he wasn’t alone now, he had both Hotaru and the Demons aid now. Moving upon that instance that the Demon had attacked Aevus would attempt to dart towards that same Quincy from earlier. Kicking his feet up against the wall and slamming the pommel of his blade into his very jaw, hopefully it would land since he was distracted.

The three Quincy watched as the three invaders seemed to exchange glances. The three males hadn’t in truth wanted to even bring the half demon along with them yet the commander had made her decision and now it seemed like they had just increased the number of foes. Little did they know though that was precisely what the female Quincy had wanted due to her needing a little bit of fun. That was when the half demon began to move back with his arm in mid swing.

None of the Quincy had been paying him any type of attention for all of them were looking down the hallway at the shinigami who were about twenty feet away. That was when the half demon suddenly moved around and extended his arm delivering a punch aimed at the Quincy who had defeated him outside of the prison. Suddenly all of them would hear a large explosion and the hallway would get covered in thick brown smoke.

After a few moments Jak would feel something hit his chest only to be propelled backwards just as he had been outside. He would fly back past the two shinigami to the elevator smacking against the back wall of the hallway with a decent amount of force that would feel as if he had fallen from about twenty feet onto his back. The smoke cleared and revealed the Quincy standing there his clothing half burnt away on the top and strange markings over his upper body. There were no signs of damage yet none of the invaders would know what the Quincy had done to save himself.

He had resorted to activating the Quincy technique known as Blut just prior to the technique that the demon used against him actually hit him. It had saved him from the incredible damage yet his reiatsu was beginning to run low and activating Blut had just cut him down by a fair deal of reserves. Holding his blue bow outwards vertically he fired off three arrows one aimed for the chest of each invader. While that happened the three other Quincy had moved backwards using the smoke that remained to hide their location.

As the blue Quincy aimed his bow and the blue arrows were released two dozen yellow arrows would rush through the smoke right towards the Shinigami and the half demon. The arrows took up most of the hallway due to it not being very wide so there was little area that could be used to evade. Five green arrows were also shot out though and were bouncing off of the side walls coming in after the yellow and blue for a follow up attack. One thing that the Shinigami might find strange if they had time to think was that the female hadn’t attack and was no where to be seen.

*Blut - A class 3 technique that is not active by default, and can exist only as long as the Emperor exists. As long as the Emperor is sending fuel across his empire, this technique exists. It requires 300 reiatsu per post to keep active, and is like Hierro. Those who possess it have skin that cannot be cut at all by reiatsu strength that is inferior. However, Blut is different from Hierro. While even an inferiority of 1 reiatsu strength will prevent one from being damaged when using Blut, those of superior class automatically bypass it. Similarly, Bankai automatically bypasses Blut. That's the defensive portion, or Blut Vein. The offensive portion, Blut Arterie costs 500 reiatsu per post to keep active, and doubles physical or reiatsu based stats (Quincy choice) during activation. Blut Arterie cannot be used on physical stats simultaneously to Hirenkyaku Constant. *Latest effected added due to Bleach Chapter 499.

Hotaru almost made a move towards Jak when he got up on his own and made a side comment towards them which made her smile a little. She knew she was being a little too tense about what was going on, but she couldn't help it. This mission was very important to her and she had to find information on Asmoskon. This prison is the best place to get information on him, since it was a prison led by the Vandenreich and the way he looked at her, she knew he would be hunting them.

Jak continued talking to the Quincy and she took a breath. She needed to relax a bit now, especially since she was facing four Quincy at once now. She needed to block out most of her other concerns and feelings and concentrate solely on this fight. She needed to make it out and search the prison. She needed to find the one person that meant the most to her over everyone else. When she saw Jak wink and hold his hand behind his back, she knew that he was trying to prep them for a good attack.

She didn't know how well it would work, but she was curious how it would turn out. She stayed in her stance and watched as he counted down and then attacked. Aevus followed his lead and attacked as well. They were both definitely head strong and more than likely haven't fought many Quincy. She hasn't either, but she's fought one and he grew in strength every time they faced off, so she knew the extend of what a Quincy could do. But, what she thought next was fairly impressive.

Aevus and Jak had both attacked the group pretty strong. But, Jak got propelled farther back in the hallway, hitting it hard, and when the smoke cleared, one of the Quincies had weird markings on his body. She had never seen the defensive Quincy technique, Blunt, before, but she had to admit the technique was impressive. She just didn't know how long these markings would last on the man, but she knew that the fight just got bumped up in difficulty. She needed to do something fast.

It was then that she saw the familiar arrows comings towards her, some bouncing off the walls and the huge yellow arrow coming at them. She didn't know what the blue arrows did, but she wanted to avoid them at all cost anyway, just to be safe. She noticed that there wasn't another attack coming. Obviously the commander was going to lay in wait to attack after her subordinates either failed or to take the glory for defeating a half demon and two shinigami. She would need to keep an eye out for her.

But, on to more pressing matters, there were three attacks coming her way. She wasn't going to tell Aevus to brace himself because he should know by now what she should be doing. She grabbed her sheathe, holding it in her left hand. She started running towards her enemies and yelled, "Burn, Rivu-aiasan!" Right after she called the name, she used Shunpo Eichi to hopefully knock most of the arrows off course that would be coming towards her.

When she would appear, her release would be fully activated and her left hand would be held out, with one of her grenades forming in it. She would appear only a few feet away from the Quincy. She held her fire sword in her right hand out, laying horizontally in the air near her chest. Once her grenade was done, she would yell, "Kasai Shuryūdan" and throw it in the pack of Quincies, hoping to hit them and watch them explode in fire. Once the grenade is released, she would immediately angle her fire sword up in her regular stance. It was then she realized that there was an arrow in her left arm still and felt the pain. She would quickly pull it out, cauterize the wound with her sword and then hold the sword in her regular stance with the left arm held out, ready to shoot people with it.

Between the force of the explosion and the punch itself, the Quincy would be propelled through the air and slamming his face through the wall. The force of all three impacts would be more than enough to take out the Quincy out. Jak felt better than ever even though his body was wracked with pain from the impact of his explosion on top of the ones that he had took at the hands of the Quincy now face down in a pool of his own blood, with his face collapsed inwards. 

Jak saw the arrows that the other two Quincys fired at them flying right at them, but Hotaru's step techique seemed to have been able to deflect enough of them aside for him to do what he needed to do. He watched the other one head to the other Quincy. He needed to be sure that he didn't hit that shinigami, whatever his name was. Jak planted his feet and started to concentrate. He smiled ready to take another two Quincy's down to the pits of hell where they belong. 

Orbs of crimson energy formed in his hand as he fired them out as fast as he could (Speed of 200). The Explosion of Hotaru's grenade nearly broke his concentration, potentially killing them all, but lucky for them he was able to keep going as if nothing happened. Soon fourty-eight orbs of crimson energy floated in random areas all around the combatants. "Everyone stay still!" Jak shouted as he pushed his arms out sending half of them at one Quincy and the other half at another. All of them would go to their target from every angle moving around Jak's allies when needed.

In the corner of his eye, a blurred projectile would pass him by. It had taken him but a second to realize that it had been the demon. His eyes darting behind himself for a moment to see the demons body slam into the elevator wall, making a craterous impact on the very foundations of that place. Out of the smoke Aevus’s attention would return to the Quincy. His eyes trailing over the Quincy’s very body, noting those strange markings covering him. 'That demon didn't even leave a mark.' Aevus would wince faintly as he he shifted his very body, his legs digging into the very air as he activated advanced air ground to stagger his decent and project himself backwards. Twisting his body as he did so, to dodge the very arrow aimed at him.

With that came a familiar site and his eyes would widen utterly bewildered. For out of the smoke came forth those death seekers drenched in that damn yellow light. Cornered like a rat, Aevus’s eyes would light up, narrowing on his superior as she blurred past him, her body literally sending shock waves down that hallway. He felt himself forced back his legs nearly buckling from the strain to keep upright but in the end he to was sent backwards. literally only catching himself with advanced air ground once again.

"Burn, Rivu-aiasan!-Kasai Shuryūdan"

He could hear her yell just barely over that booming destruction that those arrows wrought. cold blue eyes would become mystified at the very site before him. His attention drenching towards the mesmerizable flame and the incandescent light that she had brought down upon her foes. That focus shimmering brilliantly in her eyes, that cloud of smoke spreading throughly away from her very form. It sure was a sight and Aevus found himself indisputably bemused by the explosion that sheltered itself where those Quincy were standing. 'So this is the power of her Zanpakuto' Aevus's eyes lit up as he nearly gaped at his superiors Shikai and he felt as if he would release as well but he'd quickly stop himself for what came next would be undoubtedly more carnage and getting close was not a good idea.

"Everyone stay still!"

Orbs of crimson sparkled radiantly around the vicinity of the demon and Aevus would see as they flew past his very form towards that destructive laid by his superior. The very thought of stepping into the fray would have been suicide, he could do nothing but watch as his partners laid down techniques upon those Quincy like a round of militarized artillery. Smoke filled the air, shooting into him was that very heat from that beautiful destruction and he would clench forth onto his blade, awaiting any movement.

Advanced Air Ground(2) - 1765/1715

All of the attacks were still on coming towards the three however the Quincy that held the blue bow was pushed back a few feet the actual strength of the punch thrown by this half demon was one that he hadn’t thought would cause him this much pain. The actual punch held enough strength that he could feel a fractured rib or two in his chest and knew that he wouldn’t be at top game now. He had gotten hurt by this demon and now he was going to finish him off like he should have from the start.

The arrows from his allies were moving past him just as he raised his bow to fire off an arrow at the demon when suddenly the reiatsu of the room went frantic. There was so much going on at once that nothing felt right. It was then that the zanpakuto of the female shinigami was released and just immediately her figure vanished. The arrows that had been fired off towards them suddenly were sent haywire going off course. The blue Quincy felt himself being send backwards ironically against his will with pain coursing through his chest.

It was then that a huge explosion of flames was caused in the small hallway. The two Quincy behind had went with caution and preformed a step technique to get back towards the door out of the blast area. The blue Quincy though was now burned his body black in color charred and dead. It was then that the demon sent off dozens off crimson reiatsu orbs the Quincy knew they were targets yet not where the commander had gone so they were in trouble.

All of a sudden they all began to move towards the both of them and immediately there were only a handful of things to do. Right before the orbs hit the two Quincy the lines spread over their skin. The next few moments were nothing, but incredible explosions that blasted down the door into the room with the holding cells. The walls were set ablaze and most everything was now brown or black due to the destruction. They would all see now that the hole the Quincy dropped through was layer with what looked to be green crystal sealing off the point of access.

The two Quincy stood both breathing heavily and then looked to one another only to shake their heads in agreement. It was then that both of them suddenly changed appearance one becoming a figure in metal armor like a knight the other growing in size and gaining two additional sets of arms. The both of them had forgone the use of their releases and activated Vollstandig and were now rushing towards the female shinigami. The speed they moved would definitely take all of them by surprise. Hopefully the shinigami was able to react before she was kneed in the stomach only to be thrown against the wall by the knight.

[Hotaru Kuchiki-Masurao]

Hotaru looked at the Quincy and was sad that she wasn't able to hit them. The only good thing that happened from her grenade was that the one Quincy was now charred and dead, unable to continue fighting. They only needed to fight two now. Since the number went down, these Quincy were now outnumbered, giving their side a better advantage. She did look around when the dust settled from all the attacks and she didn't see where the female Quincy had gone. Though, now, she noticed that the hole they had come out of was now covered in some kind of green crystal. She could only assume that the girl went through there.

So, the commander talked all big, but she ended up running away at the end. What a sorry excuse for a Quincy commander. Well, no matter now. It was just another enemy out of the way, making it easier for them to get to their ultimate goal of releasing the prisoners and escaping this prison. But, while she was standing there, she saw Jak start to attack as well. His attack worked in tandem with hers, and still, the other two Quincy didn't get hurt as much as she would've liked. They were now breathing heavy, which told her that they had to be nearing the end of their stamina for battle. She was only slightly breathing hard, so she was still good enough to fight for awhile longer.

Though, looking back at that hole in the ceiling, she could've asked that female Quincy if she knew anything about where the renegade might be. But, what she had said about her favorite prisoner made her think. Who could she be talking about? Could Asmoskon be the 'special prisoner' she was talking about? Could Asmoskon actually be HERE? In this very prison? The man that she's been hunting for for all this time could now be mere feet away from her. When she looked over towards the doors at the end of the hallway, she saw the doors were now open. She could make out a few cells. Her eyes lit up with a little flicker of hope, but she couldn't let this distract her at all. She still had to defeat the two Quincy that were now standing in front of her group.

Once they nodded their heads, she saw them change. One had gained armor while the other grew in size gaining two extra arms. The second one reminded her of Jak's power. Could this Quincy be the same as Jak in that respect? It was an interesting little revelation for her. She saw that both of their eyes were looking towards her, which made her think that now, they were going to focus on her. She was the strongest one out of the group. Once they started to move, her eyes grew a little as she saw how much faster they are now then they were before. This must be some kind of Quincy release she didn't know about. She would definitely go look this up later when she got back to Soul Society.

While she was standing there, she was forming another grenade in her hand. She could still kind of make out what they were going to do, so when they got close enough, she performed another Shunpo Eichi, throwing shockwaves out while she moved. Before she Shunpo'ed, however, the grenade was already formed in her hand. When she reappeared behind the two Quincy a few feet away, the grenade would be ready to be thrown. She would immediately throw the grenade after reappearing, yelling "Kasai Shuryūdan!" She aimed the grenade at them, and more in between them, hoping that that would be the better place to cause the most damage.

[Jak Halcom]

Jak watched the balls of light hit their targets kicking up dust and causing smoke to cover the area. Jak waited to see what damage he was able to do. He was not at all surprised to see that the Quincys were not only unharmed by his attack, but they also seemed to have transformed as well. One was a in the form of a green knight. The other one was the one that caught Jak's attention. He was a larger now and grew another set of arms like his own Saisei Oni. 

Jak watched Hotaru plant another grenade by the feet of the two transformed Quincys. Jak took the time to transform himself while they were distracted. His body temperature was increasing rapidly turning his body deep red like his right arm. Flames started to erupt from his skin. His muscles expanded giving him another foot in height, as chain tattoos appeared on his body. A pair of horns grew from the side of his head circling his head and protruding forward over his eyes. He grew another pair of arms under his normal pair. Black gauntlets formed over his hands and four blades surrounded his hands. Reinforced skin formed over the knuckles and the back of the second pair of hands. 

He had finished transforming when the grenade exploded. Jak took the opportunity to charge in and tackle the warrior Quincy. He would use his arms to pin the Quincy's arms to his side and using his body to pin it to the wall. Jak would keep his body in contact with the warrior to burn it with his incredibly hot skin and fire. Every now and then, Jak would take the risk of using his under set of arms to hit the warrior's ribs hard.


Saisei Oni 600-730= 30 reitsu
