Well it seemed that the Shinigami had thought through the actions and the reaction to their actions rather well. Instead of rushing through and alerting all of the Quincy and making it nearly impossible to still get in they used the element of stealth to take care of the problem. Both of the Quincy that had been in the look out tower had been completely taken off guard by the sudden assault by the Shinigami. Neither of the managed to do much more then material short bows, but they had no time to fire off any arrows.
The one had been killed and the other knocked unconscious. Hotaru had successfully managed to take care of everything so that the alarm wouldn't be able to activate unless everything was reconnected correctly. There had been only one other way that they could have made a mistake yet they avoided that as well. Instead of having the demon cross the lights and still risk revealing themselves both Shinigami moved back to the forest to reunite the mix matched unit. Now it would be up to them to somehow managed to cross the dark grass which wouldn't be difficult however they wouldn't need some way over getting through the gate of the first wall or getting over the wall itself.

Hotaru just glared at Jak. Obviously something was up with the man. She would just have to keep an eye on him to make sure that he doesn't do anything to seriously disrupt their mission. This mission meant more to her than the others, she assumed, but there was something that seemed to be changed about Jak. She didn't know if it had to do with the Quincies here or not. She also didn't know how well his sensory skills were, so she didn't know what he could or couldn't sense.
It seemed that Aevus was capable, which was good. She would definitely need someone like that on her side during this mission. She crouched down on the forest line, looking around the area. It seemed like since it was so dark out, as long as they didn't get hit by the lights and kept their voices down, they might be able to run straight up to the wall. They would have to try to hide their reiatsu, with no spikes in it, once they got close. They wouldn't want to give themselves away too early.
"Alright, the next point thing we need to do is make it to the wall completely undetected. We need to run up quickly and quietly, avoiding the lights from the watchtower. Once we get there, we're going to have to whisper, as to not alert any of the Quincy that might be on the wall. Let's move out!" She then started to run towards the wall, avoiding all the lights as she went. Once she got there, she plastered herself on the right side of the wall and looked at the door.
She cursed at herself. There was no way to open the door from their side, since there was no handle and no visible other way to open the door. The only way they could get in would be to actually go over the wall. Well, either that or destroy the door. She only wanted to do that as a last resort, since then the entire prison would know that they're there. Once the others reached her position, she whispered to them, "We need to go over the wall. We can't open the door from this side and I would like to refrain from destroying the door itself. If either of you have good sensory, please tell me how many Quincies are on the wall. I can only sense blobs, nothing defined."

Jak got out of the tree as she was giving him her glare, and he just glared right back. He didn't care what she thought about him. He was here for his own reasons and his reasons alone. She started giving them her instructions about being quiet and avoiding the lights and all that good stuff. Why did she even bother instructing them to be quiet? Everyone here at least knew what it took to be stealthy, though she could have said it to try and keep him in line.
He watched Hotaru run out into the field and he fallowed a fair distance behind her. He ran as fast as he could being careful to avoid the spot lights and making too much noise once he hits the wall. It seemed that she didn't have much of a plan once they had gotten this far. Of course it would be too much of their fearless leader, he thought bitterly. Of course his next plan was to just smash the door and be done with it, but of course, Hotaru wanted to do things the difficult way and go over the wall.
"Here why don't y'all just climb up on my back and see for yourself what is up there." He suggested hissing more than whispering. He didn't wait for an answer. He just got over to the wall and hunkered down so whoever was going to stand on his shoulders would be able to get on easily. He didn't like the idea, but he figured that he might as well contribute something to this mission instead of just being there doing nothing.

The demon known as Jak seemed rather tense or so it had seemed. Though Aevus would heed no mind unless of course the creature was going to be a problem later on. He was wary of him of course but he wouldn't openly show it as he blankly looked at the demon with that lazy expression of his. The night air was cool as it sifted through his hairs smoothly shifting his black kimono. With this he'd keep his left hand latched onto his Zanpakuto, it was certainly the calm before the storm. Soon the thunder would roll over and this group would have to be as fast as lightning. Aevus's heart still beat a mile per minute after his last encounter, his blade still freshly covered in that mans blood. The other was dead, Aevus would pounder for a time if his death was necessary, his eyes trailing to the blackness of that forest, but he'd be snapped out of it by his superiors words.
"Alright, the next point thing we need to do is make it to the wall completely undetected. We need to run up quickly and quietly, avoiding the lights from the watchtower. Once we get there, we're going to have to whisper, as to not alert any of the Quincy that might be on the wall. Let's move out!"
Once again he would nod, straggling just behind the third seat but slightly ahead of the demon. Aevus moved swiftly as he trailed across the lawn, he'd soon find himself at yet another door. Aevus was crouching, his eyes shifting around himself as he kept an ever watchful eye. There was no telling if they were being watched or not. To none of their knowledge there could have been a scouting party that kept to the outside ground. At least to Aevus, that would have been a good idea. Searchlights were nice, but they couldn't fully be depended on. If these quincies were attacked they wouldn't know until their enemy was right under their noses. But that is where they were, right under their nose and soon they'd find themselves within the lions den.
"We need to go over the wall. We can't open the door from this side and I would like to refrain from destroying the door itself. If either of you have good sensory, please tell me how many Quincies are on the wall. I can only sense blobs, nothing defined."
Aevus himself didn't have the sensory to pick of the signatures of the men inside and he felt felt obliged to let that fact be known but he'd be interrupted by the demon. "Here why don't y'all just climb up on my back and see for yourself what is up there." Now any sensible person would ignore the demon. Aevus himself was sensible to a point but he was also drawing on straws. They had to get an idea of the grounds. Darting upon that moment Aevus would jump up the demons back without even a word, flinging his body and latching onto the wall above, the man would pull himself up. Crouching, his fingers curled around the cold steel walls of that fotress, his eyes would take in every site.

From the tree line across the grass of the outskirts the three spiritual unit made their way to the skin of the prison. If one could compare such a master piece of construction to a body it may be an insult, but what else to compare with it. The tower had been, but a hair that for the moment was slicked back and no longer a problem. Right now though these three were on the surface of the skin like insects looking for a way to brench inside.
Yes all of them had managed to get to the wall without any of them being seen and due to the large number of Quincy actually at the prison the low ranking water guards that were near them who possess nearly no skill in sensing reiatsu had been unable to detect the arrival of three new signatures. Now it seemed that they were still thinking of what was best and how they could get inside with the minimum amount of threat. It was then that the dark haired shinigami and the demon worked together and the shinigami was able to see over the wall.
The shinigami would see that the wall he currently was holding onto at the moment from what he could see only had two sentries at the furthest point of the wall. He would be able to tell that the wall’s walkway was about five feet wide and he would be easily able to clime up without being spotted. He would have to do so fast though before the sentries began to walk back towards the middle right where he was in order to switch sides. The only other thing that might register in his mind is the fact that right above the gate was lit with light so he would have to get up and then move to the right or else risk being seen.
From that wall the shinigami and either or the other two should they be able to get up the wall would see that the next section was about thirty feet and reached down the same distance. There was a third wall past that one as well and at this point it would be obvious that the walls were replicas of the one they had just climb up on. However, if they paid specific attention to the ground they would see that it wasn’t grass. It was cement and that there was a single man hole to the left about fifty feet away nearly on the entire left side of the wall. They would have to make a decision choose the man hole and attempt to find a way in that way or continue over the walls to get inside.

Hotaru was standing by the door, waiting to see what would happen. It seemed like Aevus was already on the ball, jumping on Jak's back and looking at the wall. He was already up there for what seemed like minutes, but she knew that only a few seconds had actually passed by. She knew that this would have to be a quick look see to jump down and tell her, but honestly, she was getting antsy. She knew that every second he was hanging off the wall was a second that he could be spotted.
So, she knew she had to decide quick. She jumped onto Jak, using him as leverage to hang off the wall herself. She looked up quickly, glanced around and hung back down. She looked over to Aevus and whispered loud enough so he could hear her. "Alright, we're going to take out these two guards. Be careful around the door area, though, because it's lit up. I'm going to take the one on the right, you take the one on the left. Go!" When she jumped up, she landed on Aevus' right side.
So, after she said Go, she quickly jumped up onto the wall and ran up to the guard on the right. The guards hadn't met in the middle yet, so the guards noticed them pretty much immediately. So, using her superior speed, she ran at the guard, quickly unsheathed her zanpaktou and stabbed the Quincy in the gut. He almost gurgled, which would've let the other guards know that they were there, so she quickly pulled out her sword and slit the man's throat.
She watched as the man fell to the ground, dying in his own blood. She turned and watched Aevus fight with his Quincy. If he wasn't able to deal with his Quincy, she would deal with him in the same way. From the outside, it would seem that Hotaru was off from her normal, fairly happy appearance. She had already killed two men in cold blood, showing no remorse about it. She never would've just charged in before, killing without reason. But, this was different.
This entire mission, to her, was finding information about Asmoskon. It was really all she cared about. She had hit a wall with searching for him and studying. It only works so far when you have no leads. She told Kagami she would risk everything to find the love of her life, and that's what she was doing now. Risking everything to find just one piece of information on him. She glanced over and saw the manhole cover. She did want to go in quietly.
She looked down towards Jak, and moved her hand up, trying to tell him without using words that he needed to make his way up the wall as well. She saw the manhole cover and looked towards both of them and whispered. "Alright, we're going to head over to the manhole cover and walk through the sewers. Follow me!" She then started running. She didn't go flat out, since she had already been doing that a lot, but enough to where it would be hard for Quincies to catch her. Thankfully, she was able to avoid the other Quincies around, made it to the manhole cover and jumped inside.

His eyes reflected the images of but dogs, they were trained to bark in the face of danger. Alerting their masters and fellow mutts to come to their aid. How trivial and easy they made it for the group to get in, pathetic excuse for soldiers and guards. Aevus would compose himself as he took in all the sites around him. Their were two sentries clad in white. Quincy attire stood out so easily in the dead of night, they were really making this way to easy for him. As Hotaru lifted herself next to him, Aevus would crouch unmoving as she whispered to him. She seemed so composed and yet so focused, this mission must of meant something fierce to her. He sensed it from her aura, something in her heart must have ailed her foreword. She had killed that man with no hesitation but there was more to it than that, there had to be.
"Alright, we're going to take out these two guards. Be careful around the door area, though, because it's lit up. I'm going to take the one on the right, you take the one on the left. Go!"
Aevus moved on that command without question he was good at taking orders when the time was right. Running alongside the wall instead of the walk way, he'd act without question. The sentry was but a target in his eyes but he was still a man. He wouldn't kill him if he didn't have too. Drifting upon that moment Aevus would pounce upon the man. His eyes void of all light, only the reflection of prey stood before him. With his blade unshackled from its prison and held reverse gripped, Aevus would slam the pommel into his jaw, sending forth blood and possibly a few teeth, Taking a breath and easing himself as he did so. Hopefully the force would be enough but if it wasn't he'd use his right arm as leverage to flip over the man, and once he was behind him he'd strike with his pommel once again.
"Alright, we're going to head over to the manhole cover and walk through the sewers. Follow me!"
Aevus followed the woman forth into the manhole after catching up to her. He yet again would spot the signs of struggle plastered over her. The blood of the recently deceased. She certainly reeked of it, but alas that scent would be but masked in the presence of the murky dense pocket of filth below. Aevus would raise his kimono sealing his nose from the stench as he landed, making a faint splash as he did so. Loosely whipping his blade to rid it of the quinces blood from earlier, he would sigh. How sloppy of him, he'd almost forgotten about it. He'd have to clean the blade thoroughly after this mission, he'd imagine this wouldn't be the end of the blood it would spill.
Jak glared up at the shinigami as they climbed on his back and jumped off him to get up on the wall. They could have been gentler about it. He thought grumpily. He wasn't even getting any help when he heard the two Quincy hit the ground. He swore under his breath as he jumped up ad grabbed the edge of the wall. He had to be careful not to bang his chain against the wall. Luckily the chain didn't move much on his arm as he hoisted himself up.
He saw the shinigami heading to a man hole on the other side of the wall. Jak took only a second to inspect the Quincy guards. One was clearly dead, no doubt by Hotaru's hands, and the other was unconscious. Jak would need to fix that. He kicked the Quincy in throat hard as he passed him. If the kick didn't break his neck, it would have at least collapsed the Quincy's wind pipe. The Quincy would suffocate in his sleep. Some may frown upon him kicking a man while he was down, literally, but even that was too good for the Quincy in his eyes.
Jak made it to the man hole and started to lift it, but then a thought struck him. Now was his chance to slip away and cause so havoc on his own. Jak let go of the cover, as he heard someone coming his way. He quietly slid behind a broken wall hiding in the dark shadows. He kept his head down using his limited energy sensing abilities to try and detect how many guards were making their way to him. It didn't really matter to him. That only meant that there were that many more to kill.

Well it seemed that these two were indeed attempting to be assassins for the time being in order to get within the prison. They had both gotten onto the first wall and taken out both of the Quincy. After that t seemed that the Shinigami leading the unit had spotted and manhole and thought it best to stay in a matter of stealth. So it seemed that all three of them were going to go into the sewers in order to secretly get inside the prison. At the last moment though the half demon choice to stay behind and await a chance to kill some Quincy.
The half demon ran over and hid behind a broken wooden wall that was in fact a part of the stables. The demon might not realize it, but he was next to these stables yet no horses were anywhere to be seen that meant one thing . . not all the Quincy were at the prison. It would be another few seconds and then a Quincy would come into view walking across the cement yet getting closer to the manhole. What was Jak going to do?
As for the two Shinigami that were now inside the sewers of the prison they would find themselves standing in a foot of greenish brown water. They would see that the tunnel they were now in led either one way or the other. Obviously they would know which one lead deeper into the prison. So when they began to walk in that direction they would notice that not a lot was around they would continue to walk for about two full minutes before they started to hear the sounds of some type of animal growling.
In actuality unknown to the two Shinigami it was a prisoner of this prison that had just recently broken free. They would hear I and then after a few seconds see that the tunnel had a conjoining one to the right. It would be obvious that whatever they heard was coming from that direction. The only problem was that they wouldn't be able to keep going forward the tunnel now had only a small funnel to drain out the filth. They would need to go towards the sound.

Once Hotaru jumped down the manhole, she heard the light splash and felt the squish under her toes from whatever she landed it. She had to physically shake herself to try to ignore what she was feeling on her feet and between her toes. She looked at her zanpaktou and just noticed the blood on it. She quickly wiped her blade off of him and then decided that a more thorough cleaning needed to be done once she got back to the barracks. That and a nice hot shower to get the filth off.
She kept her zanpaktou out as she heard another land behind her. It was Aevus. She looked up and waited to see if Jak would follow them. She saw the lid lift, then get put back down again. There was no form jumping down from that lift, no splash. So, Jak decided to stay on the grounds. Honestly, the way Hotaru was right now, she didn't care. She would do the mission by herself if she could at this point to just get it done. But, it was nice to have a little bit of back up.
Since Jak didn't jump down, she started to move forward to her right, watching everything in the shadows for an enemy. She kept tabs on Aevus as well, at least the best to her ability, just to know where he was and to not try to jump at his every sound. She was definitely on edge now, because she knew that she was getting closer and closer to hopefully getting the information that she needed to actually find Asmoskon again. She continued to walk like this for awhile.
They walked for what seemed to her like hours, but in reality it was only a few minutes. She saw that the end of their tunnel went into a funnel. She saw the tunnel off to the right and heard some kind of roaring. Well, either roaring or yelling, she couldn't quite tell. Since they couldn't possibly fit down that tunnel area, she knew that they needed to head down the tunnel. She gripped her zanpaktou tightly, looked towards Aevus and tilted her head towards the tunnel and nodded. She then started to walk down the roaring tunnel.

Jak watched the Quincy from over the wall that he hid behind. He smiled eyeing the Quincy as he got closer and closer to the man hole. He didn't know if the Quincy was inspecting it, but that would be the last thing that the Quincy would ever see. Not including the Quincy that he kicked, that Quincy would be his first kill. His first kill on his own. Jak was ready. He would not allow this Quincy filth to remain in this world.
Jak slowly crept up behind the Quincy. Jak slowly and quietly unwound his chain from his arm just enough for him to choke the Quincy. Jak wasn't stealthy by any means, and he was sure that he would be heard once he got close. He would need to over take his opponent quickly and suddenly. Once he was a little more than three feet from the Quincy, Jak rushed at the Quincy. He approached from behind and wrapped the chain around the Quincy's throat.
Jak pulled the chain taunt by crossing his wrists grabbing the collar of the Quincy's shirt. He pulled him into the nearest bit of shadows behind a couple of broken pillars. He would finish off the Quincy with a sudden jerk to one side. With a sudden snap of the Quincy's neck, the Quincy went limp against him. Jak would carefully hide the body in the shadows trying his best to keep it out of sight. Jak would wait and see if anymore Quincys would make their way to his location.

Aevus kept his eyes narrowed on the task at hand, it sure was sickening and rather repulsive in this damp darkened space. The sights alone had almost made him puke, he couldn't imagine what Hotaru was going through as she trekked through that sludge. Her bear feet, slopped through that mess. The gooey excrement clung to the walls and the pissed filled waters. Aevus's kimono kept to his nostrils. Even with this, Aevus could still smell that reek. Disgusting, just disgusting. The walls were also covered in that gunk, he could see the filth sliding off the cold cement. It was an experience, Aevus couldn't wait to end.
Than he would hear it, the sounds of a distant cry. It was a foreign and yet animalistic. 'A hollow down here?' Aevus would keep his left hand on his blade, his right hand still on his kimono to keep the stench away. The crampt space kept Aevus confined. Damn it would be hard fighting down here, especially with Hotaru next to him. Aevus would note as he saw a few rats scurry past the two. I suppose some creatures enjoyed the filth, someone had too. Aevus would soon release his right hand from his nose, allowing him to smell the entirety of this place. It was far much worse than Aevus could have imagined. He felt like puking before but now, that instinct to do so came up his throat. He'd force himself to swallow it, leaving an acidic taste on his tongue. He was in a foul mood now, going through the sewers really wasn't the best idea.

The darkness of the tunnel it seemed did little to nothing in regards to sinking in fear to go further in the souls of these shinigami. It seemed that the smell and fact that they were walking through a sewer did far more then the actual fact they would infiltrating a Quincy prison from below and that any moment they could be found out and surrounded. However, now it seemed that they had their attention focused on the split off tunnel due to the noise that came from there. In all actuality though that noise had been a trap that both Shinigami had just allowed to cloud their senses.
As both of them looked down the tunnel and the dark haired shiniagmi made it clear that he thought the sound was that of a hollow a large tall creature dropped from the ceiling slowly making no sound whatsoever. The creature was no hollow no it was a beast that had escaped the prison a few days ago yet had not left. He was more then a foot taller in height then either of the shinigami and out of nowhere the dark haired shinigami would find he blind. The tail of the rat was wrapped around his head covering his eyes only to pull his body off the ground and fling him at the wall across the tunnel. As that happened though the wooden staff in the rat’s right hand twirled in a circle for a moment and then struck the back of the female shinigami’s knees. She would find herself on them only to be kicked from behind and knocked into the next tunnel where it was far brighter and she would be able to see everything around her. “Instinct is a lie told by a fearful body hoping to be wrong.”
The Quincy that had been walking over to the man hole had felt like something was wrong yet at the last second heard something coming from behind him. As the black chain was pulling over his head and wrapped around his throat. The Quincy had managed to place his left arm up to block the chain from touching that side of his throat and give him a chance of breaking free. He could feel his flesh burning though and immediately suspected a hollow was invading the prison. “Smite the Enemy with Hollow Steel.” In that moment a large long knife of silver reiatsu materialized in the right hand on the Quincy. The half demon would have to choose between letting the Quincy go in order to avoid getting a knife in the right side of his torso. If he didn’t he would be able to kill the Quincy how he planned, but he wouldn’t get away without injury.

Hotaru was in front, facing the front, walking through this tunnel. Every time she took a step, she cringed inwardly. She hated walking through all this, literal, crap. She would definitely need to take at least ten showers to make her feel clean again from walking through all of the nasty water and filth in this sewer. She just wished she could see better than she could right now. She didn't really like this kind of disadvantage. She tried to listen out for everything, but with all the rats down here scurrying and everything else, it was hard.
It was then that she heard something behind her. She didn't know if it was Aevus or not, but it sounded like something getting thrown. Before she could turn around, she got hit from behind, at the knees. The force was great enough to knock her knees out, making her kneel in the filth. She cringed even more. This mission was getting more disgusting with each passing minute. She then felt a kick and she was now moving through the air. Thankfully, whatever kicked her kicked her into a fairly clean tunnel and she was able to catch herself on the ground.
The tunnel was made out of concrete, like the rest of these sewers. Thankfully, she didn't catch herself in more grime, but this tunnel actually had a lot of light in it, so she could finally see well. She was blinded for a few seconds, her eyes readjusting to the light since she had been in the dark for so long. She heard what the creature said about instinct and it was actually an interesting way to look at it. It was true as well. From her experience, instinct only kicked in when there was a great chance of death and you had tried everything else. The body is so afraid, it goes back to what it knows.
This creature seemed to be wise, which reminded her a little of Rivu~aiasan. Thankfully, she had a death grip on her zanpaktou, so she didn't lose it when she got kicked. It was still in her right hand when she caught herself. Now, she was slowly getting up as a shadowy figure walked towards her. She stood her ground and when it came into the light, she couldn't really believe what she was seeing. It was an enormous rat. That stood on two legs like a human. Dressed in clothes with an emerald staff.
She just stared at him for a bit before regaining her composure. She had never seen something like this before. Well, actually, she had seen something like this before. It was a time she was at Asmoskon's house in her free time. They were sitting in his kitchen and watching something he called 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.' She immediately loved Donatello, since he was the purple one, but there was a huge rat that they called Splinter, who was their father and ninja master. They snuggled the whole time, laughing until the show was over and things moved to a different room.
Hotaru shook her head to try to forget that happy moment and now Asmoskon was back to the forefront of her mind. It never ceased to amaze her how little things brought him back to her mind. She looked up at him, now calling him Splinter in her mind. "First, you look a lot like Master Splinter from a show called 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.' You should look it up and maybe sue for using your likeness without permission. Unless they did, then nevermind. Second, who are you and why are you even in here? Are you one of the Quincy prisoners? If you can, tell us how to get deeper into the prison and release the others."
It was true that she could try to fight him, but she was already feeling a little off for killing those other Quincy. She knew it was necessary, but she had only done that before in war. Though, it was true that Shinigami and Quincy were at war, but it wasn't the same type of battlefield she was used to and maybe that's what was getting to her. Of course, since she was leading, she wouldn't let this show, she would keep her determination. She was going to find Asmoskon, no matter what she had to do. She would kill again if it meant she could see him.
While standing there, she had her sword in her normal stance, knees shoulder width apart and slightly bent. Her sword was angled, tip towards her left shoulder, hilt towards right hip. She had realized after she was thrown that Aevus was not around or even near her from what she could see. He must've been taken care of first. She thought she had heard something and it must've been him. She couldn't get to him, since this rat man stood between her and the rest of the tunnel. She trusted that Aevus would be able to handle himself in all the filth.

Jak was surprised that the Quincy was able to block the chain from going completely around his neck. He swore softly, but this is how he prefers to fight his opponents head to head in open combat. Jak was not foolish enough to have a back up plan if he was unable to snap the Quincy's neck. Jak was sort of disappointing when the Quincy only summoned a large knife. He was hoping for something a little more impressive, but he was a Quincy.
When the Quincy blocked the chain, and while he was in the middle of summoning his blade. Jak would bring his right leg back pulling on the Quincy's neck to keep him off balance. The Quincy summoned his blade in a reverse grip, but being pulled like he did saved Jak from being skewered, and only gave him a nick on the side something he could easily ignore. Jak would then deliver a hard knee right to the Quincy's spine. He would then pull his leg back again pulling the man's head back even further. Jak drove his knee right into the back of the Quincy's neck no doubt killing him this time.
Jak would throw his opponent down to the ground hard dragging him into the darkness. He would punch the man several times in the throat and face just out of anger. The damned Quincy got a lucky shot in, there was no way that he would allow that again. He looked around moving against the wall trying to stay out of sight the best he could. He moved from shadow to shadow looking and listening for any more Quincys.
