Thee Who Have Past On

[Aurora Guerrero]

Aurora ran into the graveyard and just looked around. She had left right after the black shinigami, so she was one of the first people to get there. She was a little curious where that shinigami went, but that really wasn't her business. What she needed to do was clear. Her mission from Horse Man was to come here and investigate what the hollow was doing to the humans and end it. Even though Arrancar eat their own kind, there are limits. Especially with human prey.

She saw what this hollow was doing was definitely not good. She understood that hollows needed to eat to progress themselves in power. But, this was just playing with your food. She never liked it when predators played with their food. The only reason someone should do that would be with their cubs so they could learn how to kill. What this hollow was doing was just borderline stupid. She definitely needed to put this hollow in its place.

By the time she started walking into the cemetery, the rest of the group had found their way there. "Well, finally the rest of you decide to join the party, weird man, glowing man and shinigami woman. Next time, woman, you should keep up with me or I'll just defeat you again!" She laughed as she casually walked into the cemetery. She kept her senses and her energy sensory out at their maximum range. She was on the lookout for anything.

Walking a few feet in, she noticed a dark black crypt resting on the top of a steep slope. When she looked that way, she started to feel a hollow reiatsu. Since she lives around hollows, it's very easy for her to pick out hollow signatures out of other signatures. She started to walk towards this signature when she felt the ground beneath her start to quake. She jumped backwards until she landed on steadier ground. She then watched something interesting.

It seemed like the dead in the graveyard started to rise up from the grave. It was an interesting sight for her to watch bones, one of her favorite things to chew, push out of the ground and start to walk. She chuckled to herself at how weird it looked. She unsheathed her zanpaktou and pulled her gloves down tight. She growled a little in her throat, trying to get herself ready for this fight. She assumed that the others would pull their own weight.

So, she focused on the two skeletons in front of her. She ran up to the first skeleton and went to slash at its neck. If the slash connected, the skull would fall off the skeleton. She then would slash at the part of the spine between the ribs and the hips, to take away its mobility. She would go over to the next skeleton, performing the same actions. After she finished her attacks, she kept her guard up, just in case she needed to bail the others out.

[Kimiko Shihoin]

Well it seemed that her idea was accepted by everyone simply due to the fact that no one else had any type of idea where to start looking for the hollow. Aevus had spoken something softly that Kimiko hadn’t been paying attention enough to hear and then as she turned to face him saw that he was rushing off in the direction of the graveyard. Her hand was on Jak’s vest, but she could feel his body turning around in the same direction and let go of him letting him go towards the graveyard as well without her dragging him along the way.

It was then that the stupid smelly hollow decided to open her foul mouth once again and speak to the princess. The tone of her voice was still the same annoying arrogance that had infested her soul the first time that they had clashed. This time however she had spoken about Aevus going on ahead of Kimiko and stating that Kimiko was being left behind. The princess’s hands tightened into fists once again ready to pumble the smart mouth hollow into dust yet as she fought against her emotions for reason the bitch rushed off towards the graveyard.

Kimiko followed the others coming in towards the graveyard nearly a full minute after Aevus had already arrived. It seemed that Jak was already there too yet the hollow Kimiko could sense yet was unaware of where she had slipped off too. The princess couldn’t help the urge to assume that the bitch was in league with the hollow causing all these deaths and was going to aid it here and now. She fought against her gut feeling though keeping her own assumptions to herself in order to keep the focus of her group steady.

All the others were arriving now just about the same time as Kimiko herself which she only questioned. Perhaps she was simply slow and that was something that she would need to work on as soon as she got back to Soul Society. Okami wouldn’t pass on leadership of the Shihoin family to someone so slow especially considering that was his area of talent. That wasn’t what she needed to focus on at the moment though for at the moment a vibration was coursing through the ground of the graveyard.

It was then that Kimiko watched as what seemed to be skeletons began to rise up from the graves that they had been buried in by their loved ones. This hollow had now crossed a line that Kimiko wouldn’t allow mercy from. It had taken control of deceased loved ones that now were spirits somewhere else in existence. The princess looked around the area and noticed that the skeletons that were rising from the graves were only at the base of the slope that led to the massive crypt at the top of the hill.

Kimiko knew that Jak and Aevus would be able to handle themselves easily if these skeletons were only as powerful as the infected that they had already defeated a few minutes ago. There were ten skeletons climbing from the ground and as they did Kimiko rushed forward and grabbed a tombstone from the ground. “Forgive me for my disrespect” as she did this Kimiko ripped the tombstone from the ground and threw it towards one of the skeletons hoping that the massive block of stone would crush the creature instantly.

[☾ Aevus | Umbra ☽]

The distant trailing of light behind the icy blue eyes of a pale face reaper crept through the darkness of the ally. That light, seeped into his visage mirroring the faintest glimmer of an frosted pond. Creeping slowly his vision narrowed on his prey. The day hid nothing as Aevus burst through the shadows of the alley. His body being soaked in that veil of daylight as he ran forward. Charging forth into the day lit garden of the dead. His cold gaze fell over them as he moved, his fingers latching onto his blade Before finally latching onto it with his left hand. Severing forth against the very terra on his toes, Aevus’s visage narrowed as they met the day lit silhouette of the dead.

Aevus too was dead just like these creatures, but another lost soul wondering this world without purpose or even meaning. That heart beat was real but it also was fake. Was there a time in his life after life where he neglected to believe in his death? Did he perhaps ignore the truth of that death or maybe he knew nothing of it. He knew not the answer and maybe he would never know the answer or perhaps he would. Only time would tell, only time would tell.

He crept forward with his blade reverse gripped. He would shelter a single word upon his mind. 'Two' His blade would find itself within the skeletal creatures chest cavity shattering it in pieces yet he wouldn’t stop at that one going to the next. His black hairs flowing behind him revealing the faintest glimmer of his silver earrings as he ran to his next target. His fingers drifted faintly as he twisted his blade, slashing at another one of the skeletons, in an upper cut slash. 'Three'

Impo was tired. His day so far had been pretty much constant action, followed by a lot of walking, and a lot of stares from the civilians. Apparently, the people dressed in black were telling the truth when they said they couldn't be seen by normal people, as proved by the fact that only he, and some skull candy guy, were on the receiving end of many, many odd looks, along. Yay........

If that weren't bad enough, some tiger-looking woman stole one of his burgers, and ran ahead of the group to get away. Very clever of her, using his only weakness against him; making him move quickly. Indeed, she was a worthy opponent. The failure was halfway tempted to use his lightning attack again, but was forced to do so at a later date. Burger time came first. Sweet vengeance later.

So he continued to eat him pilfered meal, as he followed the band of colorful misfits to a graveyard, where these people wanted to kill something. He honestly stopped paying attention to these people, hoping that their fights could scare off some people in a mall, or something of the sort for more things. Sadly, no such luck. So now he was here, in front of a graveyard, with a bunch of crazy strangers. Fan-tastic....

He watched as the others began to do their favorite thing, and started to attack some more zombies that the 'hollow' created for them. These however, were different from before. Where as before he sent flesh zombies to kill us all, he now sent skeleton zombies to try their luck. How walking piles how bone were supposed to succeed where the zombies, with actual muscle failed, was beyond the once human.

Monkey face, the improv leader of the bunch, did what he expected, and went to hit them with something heavy. A very classy lady that one. He turned his head, and saw the other samurai doing what he expected from a samurai: attacking with his freaking sword. He briefly wondered why the other one didn't do something like that, but figured that all her brains were replaced with her strength.

He heard, more than saw, the tiger woman from before. She was yelling nonsense and running around at a pace faster than he would bother to go. Curse her! Exploiting his weakness so blatantly."[smear:#c0c0c0]Heheee, revenge will be mine, tiger thief....[/smear:#0066cc]" He said to himself, diabolically. He took aim from his point at the back of the group, looking to hit her with his lightning.

Aiming from the hip, he uttered the name of the spell. If he wanted to hit the undead ball of adhd, he needed to be quick, and chanting took up too much energy. "[smear:#c0c0c0]Hado #4: Byakurai.[/smear:#0066cc]" He said, as a flash of lightning flew from his pointed fingers. Sadly for the failure, his aim was off due to how he was aiming, and veered off course, with the skeleton the arrancar was attacking being the target.

All of the new puppets rising from the slumbering pits of uselessness as the hollow looked through where the eyes of the living once had been located. Right now the beast was limited to raising ten new minions in order to annihilate these pesky spiritual do misfits who at this point were only slowing down his plans. The hollow had smelled the Arrancar far faster then nearly all of the others and knew she was in the graveyard and close to two of the skeletons. It seemed she knew this as well however for she was attacking them both at the same time. As she went to slash at the skeletons neck however she might be caught off-guard when it rushed forward slamming into her body stopping her actual attack. The skeleton that was behind her was now moving right towards her back with both blades ready to stab through her back. In the next moment though lightning from one of the others struck the skeleton’s skull causing it to break apart into nothing. The body of the skeleton would drop and fall apart leaving a rather incredible clue to any who saw it.

It seemed that the annoying groups of misfits were still trying to stop what was far beyond them. The hollow watched through the eyes of a skeleton rising from the grave as a tombstone flew through the air aimed right for it. The skeleton’s arms went up and slashed in an X manner to attempt to cut the stone in half yet it proved to be to thick and the force behind it managed to crush the undead puppet back to the grave. The other Shinigami seemed to think he was enough to take out more than any of the others. Charging forwards at a good deal of speed he attempted to cut through the chest of a skeleton. The skeleton had only just risen from the grave and so had a limited amount of time to react yet compared to the Shinigami this skeleton wasn’t helpless. It might seem so strange to watch a body of bones spin to the side and only receive an injury equal to losing a few ribs on the right side. This did however result in the same result three times over. Though now the opportunity for surprise was gone and the dark haired Shinigami had the attention of three skeletons.

The reiatsu type attack that this foul demon sent flying forwards at one of the skeletons were slashed at by the blades yet proved to be to powerful and destroyed the upper half of the bones. Now was the time to just slaughter every single one of them and get back on track with the plans at hand. All of the skeletons were now on the ground of the graveyard and in an instant began to rush towards targets. There were still seven of them to deal with so the group was still outnumbered. Another skeleton joined in against the Arrancar rushing in from the side and slashing with its left blade right for her right shoulder leading to her neck. The one that had pushed her back was now slashing in an X manner upwards to get her chest and push her off the ground.

The three that the Shinigami with dark hair had attacked all rushed him together slashing at him from three different sides like a triangle with both arms in rapidness not caring about strength but speed. Two of the other skeletons arrived next to the female Shinigami and attempted to slash her throat open from below while the other came in from behind and slashed at her chaffs. The final two skeletons both rushed the demon. One of them slashing downwards with both blades causing his chain to wrap around the bladed arms the demon might be taken off-guard by that skeleton pulling backwards on the chain though as the other leaped forwards and brought both blades downwards aimed for his shoulders.

[Jak Halcom]

Jak was caught off guard when the skeleton blacked the chain. Normally he would simply pull on the chain and rip the creature's arms apart. What stopped him from doing that was the second skeleton that came in for the attack. The skeleton brought its blades into Jak's shoulders. He felt the blades cut into his shoulders. His right shoulder was better off a little due to the chain that was attached to it. Jak felt his warm blood flowing from the open wounds. He glared at the skeletons and decided that enough was enough. 

"I...have...had just about enough of this!" He shouted as the heat in his right arm began to increase. The heat spread to the rest of his body increasing his body temperature drastically. Soon his entire body was the color of his arm and fire burst from his body. The chain was gone now leaving the first skeleton free. Jak grew another foot taller and his muscles expanded. He grew a second pair of arms under his normal pair. The second pair of arms had hardened skin over the knuckles to increase the damage of his punches. Gauntlets covered his original pair of hands and four two foot blades extended around his hands. Chain tattoos criss-crossed his body wrapping around his limbs.

Jak held the skeleton that attacked him in place with his upper pair of arms while his lower pair went to town on its spine and ribs. Soon they would be nothing but dust as he charged straight for the one that caught his chain before. He would slash with both sets of blades coming down right on its head. If the skeleton reached up to block the attack, Jak would smash its body with a front kick forcing it to the ground, if it didn't block, he could smash his blades through the bones.

Either way his target was the mosalium. He would run past the two skeletons straight to the building if any other skeletons tried to get in his way, he would crush them with his strength. Once he was close to the mosalium, he would gather two spirit bolts and launch them at the sides of the building to blast a hole through the wall. He would then go to enter the building to kill the hallow that has taken up residence there.

[Kimiko Shihoin]

Well it seemed that her disrespectful attack had managed to crush one of the skeletons. The Shihoin princess had heard the sound of the bones cracking under the incredible weight of the tombstone. It for some reason though wasn't hard to watch them being brushed and broken. Kimiko thought it strange though that she hadn't gotten the same feeling of disgust. Why was it being a skeleton playing so much of a difference then the infected bodies had been.

Kimiko couldn't allow herself to stand by though and think over why such a thing didn't faze her stomach with a feeling of uneasy sickness like normal. All of the skeletons were rushing towards her and the others and while Kimiko felt the urge to use Shunpo and aid Aevus she saw that he was already on the assault and might be over his head. As she moved her right foot backwards and prepared herself to jump into the air towards Aevus she saw that one of the skeletons was right upon her.

The blades were coming right for her throat so in defense Kimiko brought her forearms in a tight vertical manner on both sides of her face. Right as the blades of this skeleton were able to cut clean through her arms the princess flexed the muscles of her arm and would cause the blades to halt on the surface of her skin. Right as she moved forwards to strike the skeleton the princess felt an incredible pain in the back of her legs. Pushing past her pain Kimiko would attempt to head butt the skeleton right in the skull and send it backwards with all of her strength. If successful then the body of that first skeleton would fly backwards and clash with one of the skeletons about to attack the Arrancar.

Turning around as fast as she could the princess would kick upwards with her right leg hoping to make contact with the body of the skeleton that had just managed to slash into both of her calves. It would be then that she would see Jak walking through the graveyard in a form that she had never seen before. He was bigger now and had a second set of arms with tattoos across his entire body. "Well at least he might b able to take this hollow out before we're all taken down."

[Aurora Guerrero]

Aurora thought her attack was going to connect with the skeletons, but she was caught off guard when one of them actually slammed itself into her. With it so close, she twisted the blade quickly to go and chop off its head again. She sensed something behind her but felt heat behind her. She looked and saw a piece of lightning hitting the skeleton behind her. If she was successful in chopping of its head with it being on top of her, she would stand straight up and shake it off.

She looked over and saw the glowing guy with his fingers still out. So, he must've been the one that sent off that kido. She quickly turned and yelled at him. "YOU STUPID ASSHOLE!! YOU WERE AIMING FOR ME WEREN'T YOU?! AFTER THIS, I WILL GET MY REVENGE!" Well, her thoughts on that were cut short. It was then that she noticed that more skeletons were coming after her and everybody else. She looked at the skeletons that was coming towards her.

She drew her right hand back, gathering energy for a cero, but noticed that there were several skeletons around the one that she was aiming for. Once she gathered enough, she pointed her right hand out and yelled, "CERO!" She let loose a huge orange beam of reiatsu. She couldn't use another one, but hopefully, this would take care of most of the skeletons coming up the hill towards them. Anyway, the one guy was now a huge monster, so she figured that she didn't need to hold back against these skeletons.

[☾ Aevus | Umbra ☽]

Merely Shattering the ribs of his target was definitely not his intention. The distant light trailed within his sapphiric gaze as he moved onto his next target but it had seemed he too had failed to take out this one as well. He had intended on taking the skeletal monstrosities in a single blow but alas he had failed in doing so. He was swift with his reverse bladed actions. His eyes voided from all emotion not even the intent to kill clouded his mind as he moved.

For these creatures were already dead, there was no life to reap from these skeletons. He was but a purifier during this time, he bore no ill will nor pity as he would stagger his run. Stagnating his movement entirely, Aevus would dig his sandaled heals into the murky ground beneath him. 'You're all just puppets~' A sullen sigh parted from his lips.

'Tangled in strings~' Aevus’s movement was faint but he made no room for error as he made a step forward casting forth Shunpo just a few inches away, just as the skeletons had set upon him. Perhaps causing them all to clash into one another. 'Strings..' Aevus fell upon them after that. His movements swift and his attacks precise. He would make no margin for error, nor hesitate as he attacked the closest of the skeletons.

He turned swinging to behead the creature in a single slash while it was still down. The other he would behead just as it was rising off of its feet. 'Nothing but~' His blood soaked visage shimmered in the light of day as he moved, his blade echoing lightly as he nonchalantly cast his silver blade to his next target attempting to untether it too from its strings. 'Puppets..'

The light of day cast a mighty shadow, as his icy pair sought out his next target. Aevus was but a hound, a mongrel feeding from the very hands of his master at this moment. A dog of soul society. In the end he too was but a puppet, just like these.....things. Aevus's blade glimmered from the freshly spilled blood, his attire too had been covered in that fresh decay. He smelled of it, he smelled of that death. It perhaps would hide his scent and aid him in his descent into the folly of the puppet master. Moving foreword, Aevus would follow suit after the demon into the dank dark crypt.

Well it seemed that the misfit group of spiritual entities had proven again that they wouldn't fall easily to the puppets of the hollow. Although this time around they hadn't gotten off without having to result to more draining techniques or even sustaining some type of damage. The hollow had both grinned in delight and snarled in rage throughout the last few moments as his skeletons had inflected wounds yet still be defeated.

The two that had rushed towards the Arrancar who at this point was obviously against her own kind for whatever reason were disintegrated by a cero that the Arrancar had fired. The hollow hadn't liked that to much, but it could sense that the reiatsu of the Arrancar was now drained to a point that would make her even more suited for easy food. The hollow was going to need the secret weapon though the thing that it had been hiding for the completion of its plan.

The three skeletons that had been attacked by the dark haired Shinigami ad all already sustained damage rom him due to the surprise and fact that h held roughly the same speed as the skeletons which made evasion much more difficult. Just as all three of the skeletons reached the Shinigami he had vanished with some type of movement technique that the hollow knew most Shinigami possessed. It hated the fact that such an annoying technique could bring about the defeat of two of its puppets. The third that the Shinigami had attempted to behead had reacted swiftly enough to block his katana with its left arm and then thrust forward with the right attempting to pierce through the foot of the Shinigami.

The two that had been sent to dispatch of the three misfits in the back had succeeded in inflicting a good wound upon he strange male yet it was then that he had transformed in appearance and made short work of both his skeletons single handedly. The hollow could sense the oncoming reiatsu which sensed eerily evil. As the two reiatsu orbs were fired towards the crypt that would cause the side to explode revealing the inside.

What would come out though was far different and stranger then either of the two previous puppets. It was an immense human looking deceased body that was about nine feet in height and looked to be completely muscle. The arms of the creature were roughly two feet around and the chest was even more immense. The misfits would most likely think this to be the hollow when in fact that still had yet to even see it.

All of a sudden the behemoth's arms grabbed ahold of rubble surrounding it that had been apart of the crypt and threw it at Jak. The rubble was stone yet moved at a speed of 200 and held a force of 300 which would cause a good deal of devastation no matter where it landed. The behemoth would then charge the demonic entity attempting to backhand him as the distance closed between them. To get to the hollow it seemed they would need to remove this last puppet.

[Jak Halcom]

Jak did not stop running as he approached the mosalium. He saw the large behemoth that was even larger than himself. Jak just smiled glad that know he was able to fight a worthy opponent. He continued at a sprint focusing his flames to the bottoms of his feet when he saw the behemoth reaching for the nearby rubble. Jak leaped into the air with his burst maneuver ability. He got high into the air with a slight speed increase enabling him to avoid the ruble that was thrown at him. He heard them crash into the ground rolling to the other combatants, but he remained focus on his adversary. This one was his alone, and no one would interfere.

While Jak was in the air, Jak erupted into flames again focusing them this time into his blades. He figured that his inferno blades would work wonders against the rotting flesh of the creature. As gravity pulled the large fighter back down to earth, he was going to land right on top of the behemoth. Jak extended both sets of arms out in front of him. His top two arms, with the blades, would sink into the flesh of the behemoth around the shoulders tearing muscles and tendons as they entered. 

His second pair of arms would go to work on the behemoth's chest trying to pound the thing into submission. With the combined forces of gravity and his mass, and the direction of his attack, he should be able to knock the behemoth to the ground. As the flames licked the behemoth's wounds Jak would pull out and plunge them again and again in various parts of his chest setting as much of him on fire as he could, if he was knocked down.

If the behemoth remained standing though, he would use the blade in bedded into the creature to to hold himself in position to allow his tough, hard hitting fists to go to work freely. He would wrap his legs around the torso of the beast as best he could to further stabilize him and letting his fists and flaming swords do their jobs. All the while ha laughed loudly enjoying the thrill of the fight. No one was going to take this away from him. Not his allies, nor his enemies.

Burst Maneuver - 50 = 750 remaining

Aurora was glad to see that the skeletons that she was aiming for got pretty much annihilated with her Cero attack. The only problem now was that her Reiatsu was fairly diminished. When she was done with them, she turned around and watched as one of the attacks thrown at the mausoleum busted the wall out and some huge, ugly creature stepped out from it. She sniffed the air quickly and figured out that this wasn't the hollow that they were after.

She cursed herself inwardly at that. She didn't have the Reiatsu to use her Resurrection, but now, it would've been a good time to use it. Well, either that or wait for the actual hollow and release. But, since she didn't have the pool of reiatsu to actually use it, there was no point in worrying about it. But, she needed to figure out a way that she could get out of this fight alive. Well, she just watched what was going on first. The skeletons seemed to be down.

Well, except for one that was attacking a shinigami, but honestly, she wasn't going to help him. He can help himself. She was more worried about getting to that damn hollow. The hollow was her priority. But, it seemed that she needed to get through this huge dead body first. She watched this demon boy thing go after it. She was curious if the fire would actually damage it. But, he would probably need help. She ran in as fast as she could, aiming to slice at the beast's legs.

The black sleeve of his robe shifted as his icy eyes darted to the creatures spontaneous and offensive movement. Being on his toes, Aevus would twirl himself, shifting his body against the murky ground just enough to dodge the attack at his feet. His blade ringing off the skeletons arm, he would bring his blade and attempt to behead the skeletal creature yet once again. Drifting upon that moment, Aevus’s blue eyes would shoot up.

His icy blues meeting Kimoko’s day lit silhouette. Aevus would look over her for a time, looking for any signs of a wound and that is when he spotted the blood on her calves. Everything stopped for him as he rushed to her side, his protective nature falling over him. He didn’t say a thing as he stood by her side, his blade held firmly reverse gripped in his left hand. He would only give her a concerning glance, just a look that would shelter in itself fear.

He was practically telling her don’t die here. If you die, i’m gonna have to explain this to my squad. I’m gonna have to carry you back on my back, i’m gonna have to carry that guilt and I can’t. I can’t carry that kind of weight. That’s the type of look he gave the dark skinned girl and with that concerning glance, he would take his gaze away from her. Soundly bringing his attention to the behemoth that had appeared.

Aevus wasn’t much for small talk but when he needed to get something across he was certainly set on it. “Kimoko.”Aevus was dead set on his target as he would nudge his head forward as if commanding the woman to throw him. If she complied He would set himself as a bullet, shifting his blade to impale the behemoth in the very chest. He was light enough for her to throw him meaning he’d travel at a decent speed. If perhaps Kimoko didn’t comply Aevus would stay by Kimoko’s side awaiting for the Behemoths next move, his voided eyes keeping an ever watchful eye.

Christoph looked on as the group took down the zombies with ease. He wasn't needed here, he didn't have a purpose here at all. They could take care of anything they were strong, but not as strong as his teacher, not as strong as Jin. All their attacks made short work of everything, he watched all of their movements hoping to see anything that he could use later on in a fight. His memory was his greatest tool, if he ever had to fight anyone here, he hoped to be able to recall their attacks to avoid being hit by them later on.

As the last one fell he assumed that it was over, that whatever was controlling these things would show it's face and the final battle would start, however that wouldn't be the case, not that he would know. As the last two creatures were tossed into a mausoleum destroying it something came out from it, a horrific monster that looked inhuman. What ever it was it wasn't a human, and if it was human at one point there was barely a trace left. The lumbering brute grabbed a large rock and tossed it at someone in the group, Christoph himself didn't know his name, however he was far enough away from the target that it didn't matter. He didn't have to move.

Christoph watched as it charged towards the tossed rock, it was slower than him, slower than the first group of monsters, but to be able to toss such a large rock that fast meant it had to be strong. He knew his course of action, to get behind this thing and avoid it's wrath, watch it and hope that a weak spot would show it's self to him. Jumping off of the tombstone he was standing on he started to run counter clockwise from the beast to the back side of it, keeping an eye on it so that it couldn't get a sneak attack on him.
