1.) the sound of cicadas echoed through the jungle of soul society, and the smell of moist earth hung in the air followed by the stench of death. The snapping of bones and the tearing flesh as the life faded from the eyes of a foolhardy soul, a beast with furr as pale as white snow gorged itself upon the lone soul.
2.This was how the world worked, beasts of eldritch horror living among the reeds picking the week off from the herd. and today they would be hunted like the beasts they were. The sound of cicadas would stop as the sky itself seemed to warp and distend as if something was bubbling just below the surface as a thin black line spread and then parted.
3.An ebony maw opening in the sky revealing five cloaked figures and one green haired arrancar , at the helm he would make a hand gesture and the others would scatter each holding a scanner and a machine while he himself slowly lowered downward into the jungle below. His senses tingling as his es would scout out any tarhets of note worthy threat.
Marik would find himself in a small clearing in the jungle that was known as The Wilderness. A small section of dirt and rock that bordered a flowing crick, with a large cliffside behind them, they had maybe twenty feet between the two. Marik and his men would hear all the sound that the wildlife made constantly. From buzzing bugs, to the odd roaring beast off in the distance, to even the sounds of shcokwaves reverberating off the trees, this place was teeming with life. Even the trees were supernatural, as just across the small stream stood a tree that towered over the arrancar crew, bigger than even the skyscrapers of the human world.
Thankfully, they wouldn't have to traverse and search out the location of where their prize was, as the devices Kitai had provided had dropped them off in front of their goal. The cliff was grey rock, but upon closer inspection, streaks of white could be seen running up and down the soon to be quarry. Marik's men waisted no time, and began setting up the equipment they had been hauling through the Garganta, and put it to work. In mere minutes, the sounds of drills and heavy machinery overtook the sounds of wildlife.
It was maybe twenty minutes when Marik would feel something was off. Maybe it was the fact that the machines were so loud, or maybe it was because of the growing boredom with the tedious task of watching the mining equipment do its job, but he would notice that he could only hear the machinery. Would this put him on edge? It might, it might not, but after another ten, he would get the feeling of being watched. It wasn't the strongest feeling, but his instincts allowed him to get the general direction of where it was coming from.
There was not grass in the area, but there was plenty of foliage. Dangerous shrubbery almost lined the opposite side of the stream, and he could feel the gaze of whomever it was watching him about two hundred yards away. It was... a white rabbit. That he could tell what it was at all at that distance was a testament to his sharp senses, though the details were still blurry. It was sitting there, covered by the bush, though he could still see it. What would he do at his newfound stalker?

1.) Marik was in sheer aw at the size of everything in this section of soul society's wild life , in all truth it raised more questions in his own mind. If the wild tree's where this big then surely they had massive fruit as well , and if so why wasn't soul society harvesting them for thier citzens? this would surely take them out of squalor and soul could all live in relative joy at a new plentiful resource....couldn't they?
2.) while all of that was interesting he was pulled from his thoughts by the noises around him , or rather the noises that he didn't hear. This normally wouldnt be an issue for most , but marik as human had spent alot of time in the wilds. The forest only went silent when thier was an apex predator in the area , and the song birds still sung in his and his servants presence. He would turn on his R-siphon.
3. He would put his head on pivot and that when he saw it , a simple and single white rabbit across the stream. He would lock eyes with the little guy and wave "hi there lil buddy" he would say in a soft re-assuring voice. His comrads not around thus he didnt need to preserve the image of trained killer for the sake of his position.

The rabbit's nose twitched back and forth, whiskers bouncing side to side. The bush it was hiding in rustled, before a second, identical white rabbit emerged next to it. More rustling, and three more popped out. They stared at the green-haired arrancar, unmoving. Unblinking. They held his gaze for several more seconds, before they slowly glided back into the bush, looking as if they were dragged back, instead of backing away. The bush rustled once more, before it went still. There was no movement in the area now. The winds went quiet, and all that could be heard were the sounds of machinery.
And then the screaming began, as Marik could hear his workers begin to scream out in pain and terror. Assuming Marik decided to rush over to find out what was happening to his men, he would find that one of them was covered in white rabbits, chewing on his exposed flesh. They clung to him like ticks on the hide of a wounded animal, their bellies filling with the stolen flesh of their victim. One of the braver hollows had tried to help his fellow hollow, stabbing at one with a drill. Marik could see one of the rabbits had popped like a zit, chunks of blood and flesh surrounding the area. And for his trouble, one had started gnawing on his arm, as he flailed the limb around, trying to get it off.
Arcadus, stepping through his gargaunta, spirit steel tachi in hand. He'd heard that this was a job Marik had asked for his help with. To safeguard a drill that was going to be extracting Seki Seki from a location inthe wilderness. He'd been before, he'd dined on its human inhabitants, few as they were, in nights prior. Gamey folk, it wasn't exactly good hunting either. He preferred more sporting types who might actually hide instead of just fleeing from him.
He also knew of the lagothropic nature of some of its odder and less scrutable inhabitants. Bunnies of all sizes teemed in the wilderness. Setting his foot on the ground, he could spot Marik nearby, clearly appreciateing the wildlife. As for why he had bothered to stop at three large hares who would serve as a dinner for Arcadus for the next few days, instead of just killing them, Arcadus could hear the cry of Arrancar. Marik had mentioned something about workers on this job.
"Well Marik, unless we are waiting for someone, i believe this is our cue. I hope your machine of yours wasn't made by Kitai, or if it was, that I can figure out how to fix it, given that bunnies have probably chewed anyting not doused in rat poison." He was joking of course. Rat poison wasn't going to do much against even moderate size beasts in the woods, but someone had to lighten the mood for this. In either case, Arcadus started hacking a path through the jungle, more for Marik than himself.

1.) A slight smirk would pass over Mariks features as he walked next to Arcadus, "rat poison huh?" he would ask with an amused smile. He had truly come to treasure Arcadus as both a brother in arms and a friend Though they were like water and oil in most regards, Marik had grown to appreciate his unique set view on the world and in its inner workings. Arcadus was truly was bastion of knowledge but he was still wary of that silver tongue, for even Marik knew words could topple a nation faster than any blade.
2.) Tapping at the air he would cause a descorer to open, the air in front of them buckling and bulging as a tear in space formed. Marik would sigh at the sight before them that one of his workers was covered in what appeared to be rabbits, and to make matters worse they were gnawing at his flesh. "damn it!" he would grit through his teeth as he sonidoed forward next to the worker and in a flash attacking the rabbits with asen pekku barrage.
3.) Launching one thousand kicks and punches, each calculated to strike the rabbits and leave the Arrancar unharmed. With sonido mastery 4 Marik would simply appear to have appeared next to the Arrancar and the rabbits struck while he stood stationary, "Arcadus please make sure the drill is ok ill check over the workers" he would sigh as he knelt down examining the man making sure the guy was still breathing. "you still alive , can you walk?"

Letting out a soft sigh, Camila made her way through Descorrer, entering the scene as quickly as she reasonably could. She wasn't the type to be late - at least, not where she could help it. This was naturally one of those cases. As time went on, and as her actions found themselves more and more monitored by Kouhai, Camila found herself without much free time.
At least, until now.
It had been what, two or three weeks since she'd been given the opportunity to do something she found fun? Thank fuck the time to do so finally rolled around! At least, so long as this little excursion was going to be fun. Sounds of screams as she arrived in the Wilderness helped to cement that idea, but truthfully it remained to be seen just how much she was going to be exerting herself here. Perhaps to a degree that would press her to release? Only time would tell.
Arriving on scene to a rather large swarm of rabbits tearing into Hollow alike, she made note of Marik's position, and heard Arcadus' own voice not long before there. Seems that another ally of hers was to be here, as well. Quite nice, truth be told! Making quick travel over toward the Primera, Camila threw her hands in her pockets, before turning to face the man.
"Thought you could use my help," she spoke, "what's the situation here like?" Looking around, she realized quickly such might've been a bit of a stupid question to ask. Regardless, she did so anyway. If nothing else, he might've had information that she didn't at first glance. She couldn't read minds, after all; unlike some people.

In a flash of speed, the rabbits attacking his workers were killed with almost no effort, saving his workforce. The man he rescued let Marik know that he was 'okay enough', and resumed working. There was more than a touch more caution from the group, as they kept their heads on swivels now, but they had all been hollows at one point, this was nothing compared to the white desert, they told themselves. How true that was still remained to be seen. On the bright side, reinforcements had arrived!
Arcadus, the third Espada, and Camila, the Left Hand of Kouhai had graced their expedition with their presence. While they talked, however, the rabbit that had been spying on Marik before was still there, head raised high. Was it in surprise? Maybe it was just taking more of an interest in them now? Either way, it was looking at the group with more scrutiny than moments before. Then it let out a shrill cry, one that came in four tones. The kind that only pack animals really made use of.
For the next twenty minutes, the Arrancar under Marik continued mining away, finding a vein of raw Seki-Seki. It seemed that the machines were doing their job. One of the workers even brought a chunk to Marik. It was rough and slightly jagged, mixed with rock and marble, just a little smaller than the size of a baseball, but it was Seki-Seki. That was, if Marik was still there. The rabbit had not moved from its spot, and had remained staring at them. In fact, it was no longer alone.
No less than five had shown up gaze at the hollows, and Shinigami, who had suddenly shown up in their little section of jungle. The rabbits were... unusual, to say the least. Their eyes were forward facing, for one, and they had longer hair than usual, almost looking like balls of fluff. Then there was the fact that they were white in a jungle environment. If the group looked hard enough, they could actually see no less than ten balls of poof in the jungle surrounding them.
Arcadus, looking around, kicked over a few stones as he looked about the work site he'd found himself in. Ultimately, Marik was the one heading this expedition so he decided to hang back. The weird white creatures they'd seen had an interesting aura, and as Arcadus mulled over what exactly was going on, he noticed the different white shapes around the site, same as the ones that were attacking the workers. Sensing them out, Arcadus counted 10 of their number.
Taking the tachi he's been holding, he threw it at the one closest to him, reaching for his golden artificial zanpakuto and drawing it. He called out to his fellows. "Look sharp, we're gonna have company it looks like, I count 10 hostiles and we're likely going to have more. Lets keep the collateral and the scale of our attacks to a minimum alright, we don't need losses, material or labor." Eyeing Cami in particular, Arcadus took his stance, his back to the rest of the mining operation.
Ultimately bieng surrounded wasn't as big of a problem as it might appear. So many threats stepped behind him, it was a fine strategy to focus on the space directly around him in a small radius rather than any particular threat in front of him. Well, such was the nature with combat with most spiritual beings. Considering that these well could be summons or thralls of soem kind of greater spiritual being, they may well act in more conventional and directional.

1.) Marik would sigh as he eyed his workers , their work ethic was somthing to behold nearly mauled to death and still willing to work. He would follow the man back to his work station and watch him work , a small almost imperceptible smile crossing his face as he was presented with the chunk of impure seki seki. 'its strange to think something so precious just exist's in the wild' he would think to himself as he turned the seki seki over in his hands and them chucked it twoard the worker.
2.) The drill they where operating beeped once and then a wormhole would open up taking the ore to a discreet location , that location being a lab within his palace back in las noches. Some would think this a terrible place to keep it but there came the simple fact , his palace was more fortified than soul society itself and those defnses only grew by the second. As the rabbits mad ethier way onto the scene he would sigh , 'where are these things coming from...does soul society really churn out creatures strong enough to passivly consider arrancar prey...' the thought would escape him as arcadus and cami began to speak.
3.) "cami your late but i guess that doesn't matter" he would yawn out raising a hand and pointing to the tree line , "it seems we've got some animals here capable of piercing through hierro although id be careful..when i first got here i heard the shockwaves of a much bigger creature now then..." a bala would fly from his finger tip twoard one of the many rabbits that attempted to enclose thier position. "who's guarding the drill while the others scout out the root of the enemy forces?"

Listening to Arcadus' words, and noticing his glare in her direction, Camila scoffed. "Tch, fuck you, you flamboyant flaming... fuck!" She called out, partially in jest. Readying herself against the rabbit forces, she drew her blade and pointed it toward the growing crowed... flock? What were a group of rabbits called? It hadn't mattered.
"Sorry 'bout that!" She exclaimed toward Marik, "had to deal with a few things for the boss. Few errands that needed to be run... You know how it is." She chuckled. Still, she was fully ready to utilize her abilities to their absolute potential. Especially after everything that she'd unlocked; the true powers that she'd possessed.
Though, starting small was the name of the game here. She didn't want to exhaust herself quite yet if she could help it. "Enshadow, Hikage Kubomi." As she spoke her words, dropping her weapon into the dirt, the tantō quickly fell into its own shadow. Kicking up a bit of dust, and throwing an actual, physical shadow into the air, the girl grabbed it from in front of her. "I can stand back," she called, "y'all have your fun for now; lemme know when it's my fuckin' turn to tag in though, aye?" She smirked.
Touching down via Shunpō back toward the closest drill, Camila held her guard after harvesting the shadow from the drill itself, as well as a few of the workers. If nothing else, she'd need the shadows, and it didn't seem that her foes were going to be the most intelligent. She was going to do what she could to make quick work of anything and everything that got close.
The theme of Hikage Kubomi is the manipulation of shadows, their shapes, and their characteristic properties. Hikage Kubomi specializes in the physical characteristics; making a shadow more tangible, from an observable phenomena to a graspable one. When its release name is called, Camila drops her blade into her shadow which immediately becomes wispy or liquid like in nature, swallowing the blade entirely. From there, the shadow becomes darker and becomes a semi fluid and solid mass that Camila may shape into any form of her choosing so long as the weapon in question matches the dimensions or shape of Camila. For instance, if Camila were 6’0”, she may make a weapon of similar length or width. Camila may freely change the shape of her Shikai once per post, or may pay 100 reiatsu to do so more than once. Changing the shapes of shadows she manipulates is costless. While Camila has her release active, she is shadowless and do not cast one under any light sources.
The true power of Hikage Kubomi is the ability to make any shadow of which Camila touches into a physical and tangible object. A shadow is physically indestructible. While it can be stretched or distorted, it cannot be destroyed. Camila may turn any shadow she or her weapon touches into a viable weapon for techniques and by paying 50 reiatsu may rip the shadow from the object and incorporate it into her release. If the object the shadow comes from is destroyed, the shadow itself is lost and returns to the destroyed vessel. Shadows that are incorporated into Hikage Kubomi are stored within themselves but do not stretch as a normal shadow would; that is to say, there is no indication of how much shadow the girl currently possesses. Those looking to manipulate the shadows that Camila possesses require a superior spiritual Offensive Stat to Camila’s own.
