Plotline: [In a city on the East Coast of the United States called Bludhaven, there is war. All of a sudden, numerous gangs invaded this city and began fighting over it in what is arguably the largest gang war in history. And the crazy thing? Someone must have some connections to the media, because the media hasn't reported it. No one knows about it except within the oval office. And no one is doing anything about it, either. There appear to be four gangs fighting for control of Bludhaven, though there may be more. Furthermore, survivors in the city have banded into a resistance to try to fight the gang members and force them out. BUT, what are the gangs fighting over? What is the secret of this city? It has been speculated that there is a hidden secret here in the city that each of them wants. You, the participants, have a choice now. Are you entering the city out of curiosity? Or working for one of the gangs? Or perhaps the resistance? There are four gangs, and if you claim you are working for one, you will be placed in one at random. Uncover what is happening as you try to subdue the gangs or merely observe what is happening.]

In the interior of what could be known only as a well furnished and beautiful Italian restaurant, there they existed. Unlike the likes of Oakland's street gangs, who wore a civilian's clothes, all of those present in this restaurant sported black suits, each matching it with a white shirt, yet black vest, and a silver tie with gray stripes. Most of them had red roses on some part of their outfit. Regardless, they were gathered around an old man with a puffy face and a gray mustache. As his subordinates surrounded him, dining on spaghetti, he was simply smoking a cigarette. Shizuka would be here, with the gang called the Siciliana family.

"I want to minimize bloodshed," the man with gray hair said. He, who was called Prime Minister by his subordinates. "When I was consigliere to Luciano, I tried my best to advise him against warfare. And when Vito took over, I did the same. It was Vito's recklessness which forced him to flee, and which later pushed him to his death..." Putting out his cigarette in the ashtray before him, he laid eyes on all of those around him, his close followers. His family. And, along with them, Shizuka and several other mercenaries. "It would be best if we could push them to a painless surrender. I understand, however, that this is both an unlikely possibility and a very unpopular option for all of you."

He glanced then at Shizuka, he who was called Prime Minister. "Japanese girl... Shizuka, is it?" he said. "I need you to scout out the Wayne Gang from a rooftop overlooking that parking lot that they call a base of operations... All I need you to do is watch them. We will call upon you to report afterward." And so, Shizuka would soon find herself on top of a roof overlooking a meeting with a gang up above. A gang that appeared to be of a different kind than the Siciliana family. And, within that gang, among other incredibly powerful figures, there was also someone that Shizuka knew and might even be allies with. This was the mercenary named Douma.

This first

"YOOOO!!! OG LUSH? I ain't seen yo bitch ass in a minute, homie!" An arm with dark skin came to rest on Douma's shoulder. It was heavy, and more muscular than last time they'd met, too. This man, an old acquaintance of Douma's, had been someone he'd encountered before. Twice, actually. Once, they'd gone on a mission together. Another time, he'd seen that this acquaintance of his was actually the leader of a gang that worked under Kayneth Wayne, the business tycoon who had taken the corporate world by storm, and whose identity, unknown to most of his adversaries, was not a human or even a Fullbringer, but an Arrancar named Adalo De-Mona. So, this man that Douma was now seeing? That was Adalo's right hand man.

Still, the dark skinned young man named Darnell deserved some credit. Despite being an obnoxious, loud mouthed, walking super stereotype, he was clearly strong. The moment his arm came to rest on Douma's shoulder, the contracted mercenary would recognize an incredible pressure. It made sense of course that when Douma had received a mercenary request from this group, that he'd comply. This, after all, was the same gang that Basilisk belonged to. Basilisk, who was also his former fiancee, Manami. The two of them had had a fight not long ago, with an ending Douma would not necessarily enjoy... This, of course, would be good reason. But Basilisk wasn't here today.

"Are you wondering about Basilisk?" went a booming dark voice. Another dark skinned man, presumably one of Darnell's comrades from Oakland come to think of it, Axel Johnson was a legendary mercenary in the underground world of criminals. He was huge, too. He stood at what had to be eight feet tall, with enormous muscles and buzzed blonde hair. Even though it was evening, they were outdoors in some parking lot full of wrecked cars, and they were only seeing by virtue of a bonfire, Axel Johnson still wore sunglasses. "She's not here right now... She's off doing some assassination mission or some shit over in Karakura. Then again, I'll bet you're relieved, huh Kagami...?"

Indeed, Douma's true name was known to Axel Johnson now. "Eyooooo!!! OG Lush, your real name's Kagami?!" Darnell exclaimed. "Yo nigguh, I thought'chu was Psy or some shit. You been lyin' to me?" Darnell suddenly perked up. He glanced at a dark skinned man nearby with a lip piercing and dreadlocks. Darnell left Douma's side and threw open a crate of guns. AK-47, AA12, AR15, Glock 31, SPAS-12, a fucking rocket launcher, and a FAMAS were but a few of the options in there... "Eyo, Maxitrillion... I'm thinkin' we got some company up on the roof of that there building, man. OG Lush, grab a gun n go with him to give a big fuckin' hello from good ol' Darnell." And he smiled a huge smile, showing that he now also had a single gold tooth up front.

And from elsewhere, hidden too, Shokan would also be able to watch all of this.

[Shizuka Sanamizu ✮]

It wasn't every day that Xcution members were assigned to highly specific, gang-related missions such as these. Even then, the work was only shared with one person. No other details were talked about, and nothing else was spoken to anyone aside from her. With everything this protected, Shizuka knew the mission only meant one thing. The Italian mafia. Her family on her dad's side already had a few connections within these gangs, but the group she was assigned to was foreign to her. She had been hired as a mercenary to protect this family and their secrets. Since she was half Italian herself, the blonde felt a strong desire to fulfill this wish.

As she listened to the head of the family speak, she felt an odd sense of pride. She truly was biased when it came to being Italian, especially since she looked more of that ethnicity than Japanese. She still had Asian features, but not as much as one may think. They were more prominent when she was younger, but not so much now. She definitely took after her father. Her hair color was fake, but everything else about her was real. To anyone else, she may still appear Asian, but to the Japanese, she looks much more European. It's odd how genetics work out this way, but she wasn't complaining. She liked the way she looked.

Painless surrender, huh? It wasn't that Shizuka had anything against painless stuff, but she didn't think these people deserved that. She was at a point where she didn't mind the idea of killing much anymore. In the past, she had been using her training as an assassin to view her targets as nothing more than stuffed dummies to dehumanize them, in a sense, and make her job a lot easier. Now, whether she saw them as human or not, it didn't matter. She didn't have to dehumanize them because she simply didn't care. This fact and, most likely, the fact that she was half Italian made it easy for Xcution to advertise her as a mercenary. With that job on the market, the Siciliana family snatched her right up.

All too soon, Shizuka's attention had to be directed back towards the Prime Minister. He got her to notice him since she could practically feel his eyes on her, so she stood up straight and showed him her most respectful expression. Her job was given to her, expressed as nothing more than being a spy. She was good at that. She could handle that. Instinctively, since she was raised in Japan, Shizuka bowed towards the man. She didn't do this to very many people and usually blamed on her foreign background, but when she actually admired someone, she would bow. Without saying a word, she turned and left the room to begin her ascent to the rooftop.

Standing on the edge, keeping her stealth in tact, the world around her looked so quiet. She listened for any small changes in noise that would alert her to being figured out, but none came. Instead, she drew her attention closer to the voices beneath her. A group of rather uncouth individuals were talking amongst each other, but one figure in particular caught her attention. She recognized the man as Douma, a Shinigami she had allied herself with from some time ago. She assumed he was here for similar reasons to her own, so she didn't bother trying to cause any harm. Besides, her orders were strict. She wasn't about to disobey them.

They began discussing details and names that Shizuka was not familiar with, until one of them spoke up and said the name 'Kagami.' Shizuka's eyes squinted in wonder, but then she recalled what she had learned about Douma. That's right, she thought to herself. I read his file. I didn't expect to have a confirmation so soon, though. So the Shinigami known as Douma truly was none other than Kagami; a man she once also had a small trifle with. It's no wonder he recognized her fighting style so well back when they fought before. It wasn't that he was reading her moves, but rather that he had already experienced them before. It all made sense. For now, however, the Fullbringer was going to keep that detail to herself.

Apparently, though, Shizuka didn't completely cloak herself from the gang's prying eyes because it was made obvious to them that she was up there. They were planning on sending Douma up to get rid of her. Shizuka smirked and entertained the thought quietly, allowing herself to back away from the edge and find solace behind the door that opens up onto the rood from the stairwell. Concealing herself within the shadows using her stealth (and, this time, being completely sure she did it right), the Fullbringer hid from Douma and the rest of the average humans. Well, the 'average' part was more of an assumption. It wasn't like she could tell, anyway.

If both of these gangs had hired mercenaries, Shizuka came to the conclusion that something even bigger than an average kidnapping or kill job was happening here. Douma, a powerful rogue Shinigami, and Shizuka, a member of the Seven Guns, had both been called out to complete some kind of mission where they were both specifically needed. Whatever those reasons were, the blonde had every intention of finding them out along the way. She wasn't about to let herself be used and tossed to the side like yesterday's paper, but she didn't want her employers to be disappointed with her skills, either. For now, she hid, waiting to see if Douma would call 'Marco.' Only this time, Shizuka wouldn't be answering with 'Polo.'

Maxitrillion descended upon the now empty rooftop, armed with two Glock 17 models which each carried extended magazines. It had been a simple matter of course for him to walk up to the building and then utilize Fullbring Soul Command on the air to jump onto the roof. For a spiritual body such as Douma, it would also be simple to jump directly either way. So, in observance, Shizuka would come to see that the man with the braids, Maxitrillion, was no ordinary human. Like her, he was special. A human whose soul had been corrupted in some way by tampering from the spiritual realm. A Fullbringer. Except unlike many Fullbringers, he hadn't sacrificed the use of ordinary human tools. A smart strategy.

"Do you sense anything?" Maxitrillion asked of Douma. An odd question for someone who didn't know Douma well, let alone enough to say that he knew of Douma's sensory capabilities. Or, of course, maybe he was just asking randomly. It wasn't uncommon for people to have at least a bit of energy sensory. Maxitrillion might also be sensing around for any intrusion, and was asking Douma to do the same and confirm. However, with his sensory abilities, Douma would be able to detect Shizuka very easily at that distance. And he would know immediately that she was someone with whom he had allied. So, he had a predicament. Did he sell her out? This could be a test of loyalty. He had high risk of being a traitor if he didn't give her up, but Maxitrillion knew she was there.

The dark man with his braids gazed at the one door that could have taken any intruder off of the rooftop quickly. At that moment, veins seemed to pop out from around his eyes, which turned completely white. A fluctuation in his reiatsu also showed that he had gained some sort of tricky ability when his eyes changed. He held up his gun and aimed it at the door. If he fired, the bullet had a chance of penetrating the door and hitting Shizuka. It wasn't even clear however that he saw her. He did seem to have an eye ability that might let him see her, though. There was a lot of mystery here. Lots of risk. Maxitrillion wasn't ordinary, after all.

[Douma]

“YO! OG LUSH? I ain’t seen yo bitch ass in a minute, hommie!” Douma nodded to the man beside him. It irritated him a bit that Darnell so casually placed his hand on Douma’s shoulder, but the masked man suppressed his annoyance. After all, Darnell may not be his friend in any sense of the word, but he was the closest thing to a friend that he had in his situation. After all, the Angel of Silence was surrounded by the very people he wanted to see dead. Well, not necessarily Darnell. He didn’t care if Darnell was lived or not, but the rest of them were servants of De-Mona. Just like Basilisk.

“Are you wondering about Basilisk?” Douma knew that voice. Axel Johnson. A man that rivaled Anarchy in only reputation. In terms of strength, he could be anywhere from equal to far stronger than the True Bount. Which left Douma looking like an ant in comparison. Furthermore, Johnson was also a slave to Adalo. Or Kashmere. Whatever he called himself. Regardless, Douma didn’t answer the question. He just met Johnson’s gaze with unfazed eyes, almost like he didn’t hear the inquiry.

But Basilisk wasn’t there. That was the information Axel wanted to share. Not that it mattered to him. Each member of Wayne’s team had his or her own duties and assignments. But he knew that it mattered to Douma. That Basilisk meant something to him. “I’ll bet you’re relieved, huh Kagami?” Of course, Axel wanted to exert whatever power he could muster over the masked man. He wanted his knowledge of the black mercenary’s identity to hold some influence over him, but Douma didn’t bat an eye. It didn’t matter what Axel knew. Anything Johnson may say about Kagami would be more of a eulogy than anything. Douma is all that’s left.

”OG Lush, your real name’s Kagami? Yo nigguh, I thought’chu was Psy or some shit? You been lyin’ to me?” Douma didn’t respond at first. He seemed to just stare at Axel Johnson for a little while, looking the man over with his imperfect, conflicting eyes. Finally, he shifted his gaze to Darnell. “No, I haven’t been lying to you.” Those were possibly the first words Darnell heard him speak. He wasn’t known as the Angel of Silence for nothing.

Douma watched Darnell interact with the other man present, Maximillion. However, he also paid attention to things beyond their immediate location. Douma’s energy sensory was extensive and let him detect reiatsu signatures of individuals from miles around. The nearest two were fairly distinct. One of them was foreign, but it certainly belonged to a Shinigami. An untrained Shinigami, but one with immense potential. His body was coursing with spiritual effort that he could not yet channel and control. Considering his lack of spiritual discipline yet high reiatsu strength, Douma understood that man’s potential. He was interesting.

And then there was the other spiritual signature. Shizuka Sanamizu. Douma had come to know her fairly well. A stone-cold assassin on the outside, occupying the #2 XSG position in Xcution. She was a killer and despised Shinigami more than anything. In fact, after Kento Sasaki’s murder at the hands of the Gotei 13, she was fuming with hatred directed toward Seireitei. Douma understood her rage, and so he offered his assistance to her. They were, for lack of a better term, allies, despite Shizuka’s detest for the masked man. However, because of their relationship, it would not be suitable for Douma to rat her out.

“Do you sense anything?” Maxitrillion asked, and Douma nodded. But he wouldn’t tell them about Shizuka. “There’s a man nearby. A shinigami. He is not a significant threat, but his strength is notable. If you want, I can take care of him.” Douma wanted to be the one who confronted the shinigami, but regardless, he didn’t care. Let Wayne’s gang do whatever they wanted. He didn’t accept their offer because he actually wanted to work alongside them. Douma took the job because he was making a bet. There was a war breaking out, and he just chose the winning side.

OOC: Going to try a new narrative device here, omnipotent narration! This is to add flavor, and perhaps hints to players.

Max's white eyes were scanning the rooftop. Maxitrillion was suspicious when Douma said that there was no reiatsu on the rooftop! He didn't know what level Douma's sensory capabilities were, but his own told him of a presence on or near this rooftop. The white eyes, however, were a ruse. They were the side effect of another technique, but appeared as sensory to onlookers. A good bluff. Furthermore, he knew Darnell, and Darnell was seldom inaccurate when pinpointing others! Douma had also noted a presence not far from them, so he couldn't have been someone with no sensory. How could he sense that one but not the one which Maxitrillion sensed? Very, incredibly suspicious!

It took Max a moment to note what Douma had said. Shee-Knee-Gah-Mee. The Japanese version of the word. Maxitrillion spoke only English. Douma's English itself wasn't terribly impressive, at least from what he had said to the Wayne gang thus far. "Go kill the Shinigami," Maxitrillion said, butchering the pronunciation. "Bring his head to Darnell." That was a good directive. Douma had already said that the Soul Reaper wasn't too strong. At Douma's level, this wouldn't be problematic. If he somehow failed, it was suspicious. Unlike Darnell, who was quite trusting, Max was always skeptical. Douma was a newcomer, and from what he had heard already, had every reason not to cooperate with them. He vowed to test Douma at every chance given.

After Douma had left to check up on the Soul Reaper, Maxitrillion advanced around the rooftop. His sensory wasn't of energy, but of someone's presence! Heartbeats, those trying to hide. Maxitrillion was the perfect person for this kind of tracking someone thing. Max's eyes scanned the rooftop. If Shizuka was watching, she would see those white eyes. Naturally, not knowing what they did, she too might be made to wonder if she had been compromised by them. He approached the door - the one door on the entire rooftop. Was she compromised? He hadn't looked directly at her yet. If she was compromised, she had best escape. If not, then maybe she was in some good fortune.

But now the music...

Suddenly, however Maxitrillion released a powerful aura from his body. The aura didn't seem to extend more than a few centimeters from his body, and took the form of an ominous white glow. Yet, when it was released, Shizuka would suddenly feel absolute, intense fear. A fear unlike anything she had ever before felt. She would suddenly feel as if she was mere prey, a little worm looking at a majestic falcon. A fish as a bear scooped it up. An insect before a massive tarantula. She was helpless before Max. He was too much stronger than her... Yet, how could this be? They had seemed roughly the same level, perhaps Shizuka even a bit stronger, until that aura appeared.

Now, he suddenly appeared so much stronger. An insurmountable level of strength. Those experienced enough in the human world would have been able to identify the technique used. Martial Discipline: Ken, produced a mighty aura to repel incoming attacks. Its users also gave off a highly intimidating aura which could be resisted by other Ken users. However, Shizuka did not know Ken, and this was her first encounter with it, leaving it an unknown what the aura was. A sudden feeling would take hold of her heart. If she did not escape, she would die here. There was nothing that she could do to stop her heart from accelerating rapidly in total fear from what was coming. And then, Max's words, even though he did not look at her.

"I've found you..." he said.

OOC Note: Meanwhile, Shokan should react to Douma's sudden appearance or to Max telling Douma to kill him. Or just lay and wait. Either way, I encourage Shokan to post next, but anyone can if they want.

OOC: Sana needs a break due to personal life circumstances. Therefore, we will say that Maxitrillion confronted Shizuka, who ran away and escaped so as to preserve the integrity of her mission - watch, don't engage. Upon returning to her boss, she explained to him what she saw, and he recognized Maxitrillion's use of Martial Discipline: Ken, and thus sent others to work.

OOC: With Kento's permission, Ryu may enter the thread but I will actually return by taking Shokan's place since he has taken too long to post. I'm also basically just going to go with what Kento said Shizuka did, but I'll elaborate.

She saw him. She saw the man approaching her with his creepy eyes. Though he never looked in her direction, she could tell he was searching for her. Was he trying to see her or something? Why else would his eyes look like that? Still, she remained silent and didn't move. If she was to compromise herself, it could mean death. She couldn't activate her Fullbring yet either because that would essentially be like committing suicide. Everyone and their mom would feel a burst of energy coming from her and that would mean seriously bad juju. She felt her heart start to beat harder, though, being unable to suppress her anxiety. She seriously hated her anxiety.

To make it even worse, this guy was instilling fear within her like she'd never imagined. He was glowing, which was strange, and she couldn't help but think back to when she was stuck in that weird facility with all those people. A really strong man was glowing then, too, but not in the same way. Regardless, it brought back some terrible memories that she'd thought she had repressed. Unfortunately, it looks like her attempts didn't work as well as she wanted them to. Was this just a different version of the same technique, or was it different? Honestly, the woman had absolutely no idea. And to make matters worse, she heard him say that he found her.

SHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHIT! Shizuka's brain set off about a million alarms at once telling her to get the hell out of there. She wanted to listen but she was so curious! How could he see her without seeing her? Well, aside from energy sensory, she assumed. That was usually how people were able to scope out where she was if she wasn't in stealth mode, but she was in stealth mode! So how, exactly, was he able to find out where she was? Unless he was bluffing, of course. But did she really want to take that chance? No, she really didn't. Her mission was clear and simple: She was to observe, not engage. That is what she intended to do.

Using the small opportunity she had to get away, Shizuka increased her speed with Movement and got herself off the rooftop before literally sprinting away to go back to her boss, the Prime Minister. Upon her return, she explained every detail that she saw, from every person involved in the strange gang to even Douma's presence. What she said about Douma, however, was a bit of a white lie. She told her boss that this man wasn't a threat, and that he seemed to be more of an errand boy. He didn't look to be as strong as the others, which led her to believe he was expendable. Obviously none of that was true, but she and Douma had since made a deal between each other. She wasn't going to rat him out.

Apparently, though, the technique that the man had used against Shizuka was some kind of martial discipline called Ken. The Fullbringer raised an eyebrow, showing her obvious confusion at what that name even meant. She'd never heard of it before and, therefore, didn't know what it was supposed to do. What she experienced was enough to frighten her a bit, but it also intrigued her. She wanted to be able to learn it, herself. She didn't have the ability to at this given moment, but that wasn't going to stop her in the future. It would be beneficial, so she'd need to find a way to either teach herself after studying how to or look for someone who already knew it. But who would have that kind of knowledge?
