Physical Description:
The golden locks that adorn Edward's head are the very first thing one would see when looking at him either in uniform or in his casual clothing. These golden locks rest softly on his head as he keeps his hair a bit longer and somewhat untamed, not messy or matted, but a bit less restricted than one would call a formal hair style. The length of his bangs reach down and cross over to the left side of his face slightly just covering his eyes from time to time, his golden locks tend to rest in front of his ears not obscuring them from view even though that part of his hair does reach to the top of his jaw. His hair comes to a rounded point on the back of his head that trails down his neck slightly.
Going down from there one would see his emerald green eyes staring into them, these bright green eyes rival that of jade in terms of wonder and beauty. If Edward had to claim one feature of his body that he held great pride in it would be his eyes. Yet one would often see his eye brows narrowed and focused in pondering several things at a time, giving his charming emerald eyes often a look of seriousness and ferocity to match their beauty. Even the clarity of his eyes are unrivaled, given that the scalar is pure white with no sign of taint or corruption only furthering exemplifying the green iris.
From his eyes one can trace down to the rest of his face. Edward is a very attractive male clearly seen by the rest of his face. Every single feature of his face matches perfectly matches the Fibonaci sequence for a perfect face mathematically all of this exemplified by his fair skin that would make the royals of long ago tremble in jealousy and rage that a commoner had skin so fair. With such fair skin and attractive physical features Edward makes sure to never have any trace of facial hair as it would ruin his look and take away from his overall appearance.
Given the amount of strength that Edward has one would often assume that his body would be built like a truck and that he would be a massive walking mound of muscle that took up a large area however this couldn't be further from the truth when looking at him. Getting it out of the way Edward is a muscular human being. Under his clothing is a well defined body born of several years of training and exercise in order to build up his physical side. However this was only possible due to his training, the dedication he had as well as the very important choice that he made when he first started to train his body.
When first training and exercising he had the option of going two ways in building his body, he could have taken the very stereotypical route of going to be a body builder giving his body massive muscles and extreme physique that would warn and scare off those that didn't want to deal with a person of such intimidating strength. The other option was for him to be reserved in his training and work to build a body that held great strength in it yet wasn't cumbersome. This was the path that Edward took when doing his training and this allowed him to hold great strength in a well defined body.
One of the most important aspects of Edward's wardrobe is the quincy cross. While most quincy simply wear the quincy cross on their wrist or holding them Edward's quincy cross is a bit different. He holds no quarrels about showing off that he has a quincy cross. He wears it as a simple necklace over all other layers of clothing. This silver quincy cross is a bit smaller than others only for the simple fact that he wears it out in the open making it easier to spot and see what it is. His soul fragment is a simple golden ring on his right pointer finger.
Edward's clothing is very standard for Vandenreich as far as it goes. For an important event day in the Vandenreich Edward wears his uniform proudly consisting of a white coat that covers part of his torso and trails down the back underneath the coat he wears his white jacket buttoned down entirely, a set of white pants that he keeps stainless and pressed properly every day. His belt is a simple black belt with the quincy cross on the buckle. His shoes for this is a set of white boots with golden buttons going up the front of the boot instead of it having laces. Yet this is an externally formal clothing setting for Edward.
For the normal day to day of Vandenreich Edward's clothing changes a bit. Unlike in his formal uniform Edward forgoes the coat entirely which allows him to breath a bit easier. As well he keeps his jacket wide open allowing his dark blue striped shirt that he has on be seen, as well as a white dress vest that he wears. The white dress vest has dark blue metal buttons that keep it buttoned up. Around his neck is a darker blue tie that is held in place by a silver tie clip. For his pants Edward keeps the same set as in the extremely formal version of this uniform.
This is simply when Edward is in the Vandenreich while he is dedicated to the Vandenreich and his loyalty is unwavering there are times when he does things outside of the Vandenreich and prefers to wear normal clothing. That clothing will often be simple outfits consisting of black shirts and plain pants often with a blue jacket. While not extravigent or anything of the like more often than not if Edward is doing something outside of Vandenreich needs he doesn't want to draw attention to himself.
Normally that would be all of the clothing that anyone from the Vandenreich would ever see Edward in, however that isn't the only thing he will ever wear. When not wanting to be seen by his fellow Vandenreich Edward will wear a set of heavy thick glasses and a hat. The reason for this? Simple Edward is wearing something that he considers an otaku article of clothing. Yes Edward is a massive otaku so much so that he wears and creates clothing based off of anime and manga, however he doesn't let a single soul in the Vandenreich ever know about it.

Dislikes:
Those that have converted to quincies to join the Vandenreich: This is very interesting for Edward, given that he will accept them into the Vandenreich and praises that they have made the right choice in joining the true race that is the Vandenreich Quincies however he still sees them as impure imperfections that will eventually only taint the pure blood of the Vandenreich.
Fullbringers and the hollow taint that afflicts them all: To him fullbringers are nothing more than normal humans trying to catch up to the quincies however by doing so they have tapped into something more primordial and filthy that is hollows. Knowing that hollows are the reason that fullbringers even have power makes him sick to even think about that.
Hollows: Hollows are simply a currpoted soul that is slowly tainting the rest of the world by it's own existence . There is no reason to try and save that soul simply have it be destroyed and killed once something is tainted by a hollow there is very little you can do to save it say for purifying it with a quincies power. Sadly hollows can't survive the purification given that the very essence of their soul is the taint.
Shingami: Along with the hate for the several massacres that they have done of quncy Edward hates the fact that they 'purify' hollows. Edward can see the taint off of those souls that have been purified. That taint still stems from the souls and affecting everything around them. They haven't done anything to remove the hollow taint they have simply just allowed the hollow to take a new form that they think is safe.
Arrancar: Arrancar are simply hollows that have taken a human form and act as if they're actually people. They state that they have wills and emotions, but they don't they're simply monsters that need to be elimanted and killed. Nothing good can come from an arrancar only death, not even conversion works on these fools as the taint is too strong with them.
Vizard: These beings are truly pitiful creatures that need eradication upon meeting. Edward feels sorry for them as the very core of their being is being infected by a hollow and is now unsalvageable. Such a being is a horrific blend of a shingami and a hollow. As such it needs to be put out of it's misery so that it won't suffer or spread it's taint to others.
Stubborn free Quincy: It baffles him as to why free quincy wouldn't want to join the Vandenreich from the simple fact that they can offer them protection against the tyranny of the shingami. That alone should be worth more than enough to help sway those that dislike the idea of fighting.
The lack of physical strength in most quincies and especially in the Vandenreich: It is hard for those that claim that the Vandenreich are the strongest, even though it is true when there is an utter lack of physical strength within the ranks of the Vandenreich. While he doesn't expect everyone to have the sheer physical power that he has, at least enough to withstand a punch or two would be nice. Most of the members of the Vandenreich he has seen only have enough strength to hold themselves upright.
People who trash talk anime and manga: There are those that try to argue that manga and anime isn't good and that it's trash. Those people are wrong and will be dealt with swiftly and efficiently resulting in the death of them via loss of blood from limbs being cut off. No one talks shit about his anime, if they do, well death is quick.
Hard drugs: He never understood the need or want for harder substances that will help some reach a level of altered state that not even alcohol allows someone to get to. Such a dependence of those sort of things for 'fun' is unhealthy and destructive.
Likes:
Fullbringer converts: While this is a combination of two of the things Edward hates he does actually like fullbringer converts. Sadly of all of the races that can be converted into quincies fullbrigners are the only one he will actively seek out to convert as in his mind converts from fullbringers are purging the hollow taint from them making them pure. The rest seem only to want power and are desperate for it.
His fellow pure blooded Vandenreich quincies: What isn't to like about his fellow race? As far as Edward is considered his race is the right evolutionary leap for humanity. As such he does like the company of his fellow quincies, only if they are pure blooded, none of that mixed blooded quincies nor unpure converts.
Working out: Even if Edward has gotten to the peak strength that a human being could ever obtain he still works out constantly when he has the chance to do so. To be able to push himself to higher limits is the goal, however at the moment it serves as a way to release stress and get a clear head.
Smoking: While this is a horrible habit that he has, Edward does enjoy a relaxing smoke now and again depending on his mood or how stressed out he is, he picked up this habit in order to calm himself down due to all the stress of trying to keep his private life from coming to life in the Vandenreich. It's not easy being one of the worlds biggest otaku in an order ready to kill all non quincy.
Songs with meaning: Now in this modern era of music there are countless songs that often have no point or meaning simply just noise to fill the background of a otherwise sad and empty life. As such when he finds music that actually has meaning it means something and is something that Edward does like to listen to. Yet the bad music does hold a place in his heart, without all the trash it wouldn't make the gems so much more special.
Musicals that have been turned into movies: Oddly enough many musicals that have made the transition from broadway to the big screen are some of Edward's favorite type of movies given that they tend to be filled with the type of music he likes the most. Something with a purpose and not welcome to the jungle for the seventh thousand time when an action scene takes place.
Cosplaying: Yes you read that right, Edward is a cosplayer not only that he is an avid one at that constantly working on new outfits and designs to make for events and conventions.
People who look like anime characters: Every one in a while while walking down the street or in a fight he will notice that some people look exactly like anime characters. Depending on their race he will back off for a moment with his hatred towards them and be a bit nicer, simply because they're look like an anime character. That being said if it's a character that he dislikes it could cause some issues.
JoJo's bizarre adventure: A random and wild manga that has left a powerful impact on many of the modern anime and manga. While that alone would be enough for Edward to praise it, the fact that the manga is actually good furthers the fact that Edward likes the manga.

Flaws:
Blind loyalty to the Vandenreich: Edward isn't a fool, nor is he against logical debates between people, however when it comes to fighting with ideals of the Vandenreich he goes into a lockdown that throws away reason and logic to follow the Vandenreich laws.
Racist: Edward has his own ideals about what the perfect race is, he sees many of the other races existing in the world as a mixed blend of unpure beings trying to claw their way towards the perfection that is true quincies IE the Vandenreich quincies. He doesn't hold back when it comes to talking with those kind and has various opinions about them depending on what race they are.
Doesn't see that he is a saber face: Edward for some reason doesn't actually see the fact that he looks exactly like Saber Prototype from fate stay night. Even if someone mentions that to him or if he sees himself against the anime character he can't see himself as Proto saber. It's odd but he himself can't see the fact that he looks exactly like the character.
Unwilling to work with the unpure: Edward can see the taint of those that have been affected by the hollow taint and refuses to work with those that are tainted by hollows or were converted from those races. He can't stand the thought of working with them, given that they're lesser beings and are forever tainted by the filth that is hollows.
Habits:
Will quote manga and anime characters at times during battle or conversations without knowing it: While not often Edward will at times randomly spew out a line or rip off a direct quote from a manga or anime.
Calling those that he sees underneath him in terms of race a filthy casual.
Working out, while not a strange habit, Edward has a rigorous workout routine that he does every single day to keep his body in peak fighting conditions, this usually happens in the very early mornings when no one else is awake. However at times he has been known to workout in the afternoon.
Forcing those that serve under him to workout with him. If you're part of those that report to him then Edward will enforce morning workouts and he doesn't take it easy on them what so ever, Spartans had it bad, those under Edward have it worse.
Using shockwaves as punishments to those who fail him or those he doesn't like. While a rude habit it's actually very effective when dealing with those so much physically weaker than him.
Fears:
Vandenreich members finding out that he is a closet otaku: Edward loves all forms of anime and manga so much so that one could call him an Otaku. However, such a thing isn't something that a leader of the Vandenreich should be. He fears that if the Vandenreich find out about this particular quark of his that he could be considered unpure and deemed a filthy casual not worthy of the Vandenreich.
The Death of Caesar via old age: While not as active as he use to be for Edward Caesar was a powerful and ideal quincy. The man had conviction and dedication to the order and was ready to lay his life down on the line for the Vandenreich. To him losing such a member to death of old age would be a horrific blow to moral.
Becoming unable to use his arms or legs. Edward prides himself on how powerful he has become with his own body, yet he knows that at any moment he could if he makes a mistake lose his limbs, to take away all the work and dedication that he put into his life over something like that would destroy him.
That oda will continue to write one piece until he dies. My god is oda ever planning on finishing that god damn manga? Seriously, it needs to end, for Edward while he liked the start of one piece and alot of what has happened recently in the manga, he wishes that it will end soon so that they can get an ending to the epic tale. However with the way Oda writes he fears that the man will keep the series going until he's on his death bed and ninety years old.
The second death of the emperor. After the emperor died once Edward was upset and fearful for the continuation of the Vandenreich, however now that his majesty has returned everything is back as it should be, however Edward fears that death, will come once more for their king.
Goals:
Purging the ranks of the Vandenreich of other converts that aren't fullbringer based: They aren't pure quincy they're tainted by hollow reiatsu and shingami reiatsu. They are an abomination and a disgrace to what the Vandenreich stands for.
Continuing the pure quincy bloodline: In recent years it has come to light that pure blooded quincies are becoming more and more rare, it is due to the mixing of blood between quincies and that of normal humans or those unpure converts. Only by careful selection can the pure blood line continue, that and converting and purifying the fullbringers starting a new pure line.
Finding the soul of Grape-kun and putting him into the soul of a human. This penguin was a true anime fan and even fell in love with a anime wifu. While this is a bit of pipe dream Edward still actively looks for penguin souls whenever he invades Soul Society with the Vandenreich.
Removing the weaker and more docile Vandenreich: The Vandenreich is an army, we are suppose to be aggressive and strong. There are some who are trying to change this and he won't stand for it, they will be purged, killed and their bodies crucified to send a message to those that dare to think like them.

Overall Personality:
Loyalty is absolute. All members of the Vandenreich are suppose to give their unflinching loyalty to the emperor. This means that all those who enter the Vandenreich must pledge their loyalty to the emperor and the Vandenreich. Edward is no exception to this, he more than most show his absolute loyalty to the order that he had joined at a young age. This loyalty molded him into the person that he is today, without this sense of duty and purpose he wouldn't have become the man he was.
Loyalty without question is often seen as a flaw and Edward knows this, however he knows that while there is a place to question some orders in the end it is all for the greater good of the Vandenreich. While not blind to what has to be done he will follow the will of the emperor till the end, that is who his true loyalty lies with, not the ones ordering him around, but the emperor and his glorious army that he has created. Edward would never do anything to threaten the Vandenreich's power or status. After all why would he do something like that when he knew it would directly affect his family.
When one enters the Vandenreich they stop being alone, they stop being one in the world against the hollows and shingami. They enter into a unit, an army, a family. The Vandenreich is your family, while most might not think that the Vandenreich is a family from the outside they fail to see the truth that is often hidden by the hate that the others spew about their organization. To Edward the Vandenreich is his family and you must protect your family from all threats even those that are internal. While having a family of his own, and one that proudly promoted the Vandenreich. Upon actually entering the Vandenreich he finally felt a sense of warmth and acceptance that he hadn't felt from his birth family.
From the moment he entered he felt a sense of belonging and loving embrace echoing out from the halls of Silbern. To him every pure blooded quincy he met in the Vandenreich was someone he could trust as a brother or a sister. Those higher up than him were seen as aunts and uncles while the emperor is his true father. For him the Vandenreich was just an extension of his birth family all of them precious members that can't be replaced so long as they all remember the one creed that keeps this family pure and strong. The blood of quincies should never be diluted with those of inferior races.
In the Vandenreich there are some quincies who believe that allowing some of the other races to convert over is fair and just that will strengthen our army. Edward hates this idea for several reasons, of those that they're able to convert into a quincies most of them are tainted by hollows and will never be washed away. Even the purification ritual can't remove the taint of hollow reiatsu, that reiatsu leaves a mark of their impurities that sullies his proud and noble family. Allowing those who we fight and call foes to join our ranks is an offense to what we have worked to build.
Worst of all is those that are converted often try to seduce those pure blooded quincies that make up the elite officers. This effectively dilutes our pure blood making our power weaker and our abilities worse. If we start to take in whatever rift raft that so wishes to be in the Vandenreich we would be no better than those dirty shingami. Our loyalty to purity is the difference between us and them, if we don't keep to our proud and strong ideals then we will lower ourselves to their level. For Edward doing so is a horrid thought knowing that his family stooped so low to be equal to shingami who he knew were inferior.
All races weren't created equal. Normal humans are one of the few races that Edward tolerates, for they alone are the masses that will be lead by the Vandenreich when they become the true rulers. For most of the other races he sees as abominations and freaks that need to be eradicated. Fullbringers are the race that Edward isn't really sure one way or another about. He sees them as humans who wanted to be stronger like they were, however in the pursuit of power they came to drawing in from the worst area. Hollows, those foul abominations of souls that were twisted and horrid. Only hungering for souls, the best answer to them is to eradicate those sins.
Hollows and those that were born from their ilk were sins of creation and there was only one thing to do with them. You had to slaughter those that are a sin to creation to remove their filth from the world. Nakkabaki quincies are some of the worse things that can exist. Not only are they an insult to the emperor when it comes to being quincies they're also act as anchors for demons in this world. Being spawn of akki and quincies their very existence is a insult to nature and order as such they should all be put down like the dogs they were. They even had the gall to be unable to be purified by the emperor making them unable to be turned into something less vile.
When one joins the Vandenreich they learn a few things. The first thing they learn is how to kill, and kill you will less you turn back against the Vandenreich. From the very start you will learn that no matter your moral standpoint you have a duty to follow orders. Duty before personal morals is ingrained to each member and Edward knows this. While he has a lawful standpoint when it comes to several things, he sees no issues with killing or slaughtering those that dare to sully the name of the Vandenreich. When it comes down to it when it is for the betterment of the Vandenreich there is nothing that Edward won't do.
How does one make their mark in the sea of thousands? You do something that almost all other quincies haven't done. He made his body into a weapon, while many decided to train their spiritual side he himself chose to take the road less traveled. Each moment he he had to himself that wasn't take up by his other hobbies he dedicated to making his body a lethal weapon. At first it was just to stand out, after time it became a habit to train and push himself to higher and higher limits, all for making himself a better weapon for the Vandenreich.
By the time he finished his training he learned several things about himself and how he views other fellow Vandenreich. First he learned that he himself had become a force of nature, while there were some who could throw massive amounts of reiatsu around, he could simply clap and do the same result. The second is that when it came to physical stamina and endurance his fellow quincies lacked that. As such with that mindset he had he decided to train those under him who were pure blooded quincies in order to help them not simply fall in combat when they weren't able to use their bow.
Now Edward isn't entirely about the Vandenreich, no he has a life outside of them a side that he often doesn't let those under him see. He enjoys the idea that he can have a life outside of the Vandenreich while not wanting to keep what he does a secret to others, he values the bit's of privacy he does have from the rest of his fellow quincies. Being around all of them all the time could get a little draining as he wasn't as old as some of them, especially given how young many of them look most often overlooked the fact that he was only twenty six.
Being a proud pure blooded quincy of the Vandenreich Edward has a responsibility, no an honor to help pass on his race with another like him. So while not an active search Edward is looking for someone to be with. With someone who is so blinded by loyalty like Edward one would think that to him love would be something that would be high on his list. They would assume that the loyalty he had for the Vandenreich would follow through to loyalty to his partner and to the relationship all together. However that isn't necessarily true for Edward.
To him love is secondary to his actual goal for a relationship, that being being able to help sire another pure blooded quincy to help bolster the ranks of the Vandenreich. For him love is something that if it happens then that's wonderful, however in terms of having a relationship to him it isn't needed. After all when it comes down to it the only reason he would ever be involved with a woman would be to create a pure blood. For him it's honor before his own feelings, even if it hurts someone who he cares about. Those feelings aren't needed in the Vandenreich.
While in front of other members of the Vandenreich Edward is proper, prim and an ideal member of their order. However outside of the Vandenreich when he has his own time Edward is a very different man. While normally he is stern and serious inside the Vandenreich outside Edward is kind and friendly even approachable. Heck he would approach others with a smile and a noble intent in his heart. This is especially true if he is in the middle of enjoying one of his favorite pastimes, the major reason why he saw humans as acceptable and not pigs that they should send to the slaughter.
Edward is a closet otaku for lack of a better word. When it comes to anime almost no one can compete with his knowledge nor dedication to collecting. Edward when around anime is himself if he had never been in the Vandenreich, a simple happy fan of anime. There is very little that can spoil his mood with his obsession with the stuff. Even some of his techniques and attacks in battle are ripped off of anime. However this comes with a cost, he knows that this being found out by the other members of the vandenreich could cause a disgrace not only to him but to the whole organization. So he must keep it a secret at all costs, no matter what would be involve with keeping that secret.

Fighting Style:
The bow and arrow, a simple weapon that changed the world when it was invented. Every single quincy alive and ever since creation are master archers, that fact is almost inarguable when looking at any quncy. This skill is so ingrained into all quincies that one would argue that it is in their very DNA, so much so that some would gamble on many of the Olympic archers and archery masters of the normal human world had quincy ancestry in their blood or are quincies who never fully developed their powers at a young age or never knew about them.
Edward however isn't a master bow user, he goes against the norm that the quincies use simply bows and arrows. Now this isn't due to some sort of ego he has or a rebellious streak he had at a young age. No the answer is simple, when he started to learn his craft he was able to access his power at a younger age than most. Upon realizing what his power was, he dedicated himself to learning and mastering his craft using a blade rather than arrows. By doing this he gave up the chance he would have had to normally learn the bow skills that all quincy have and instead gained an unrivaled proficiency with blades.
While not the best with his bow and arrows Edward will use them on rare occasions. This is a rare and infrequent situation given that more often than not Edward will use his sword. The only times Edward will ever use basic bow and arrows is when he knows that he can utterly humiliate someone with those skills or if he isn't taking the fight seriously as he knows he can win. This is usually against someone who is that much weaker than him, so much weaker that if he used his blade they would die with a single swing of it.
While it's easy to see that Edward isn't as skilled as other quincies with bows, he still is able to fight from afar like they do. Unlike other quincies that usually bombard their foes with multiple arrows at a time Edward prefers to use only a few at a time, making sure that each arrow has a precise and direct target and not the simple spray and prey tactic that is common for most younger and inexperienced quincies. As such each shot is deliberate, even if they miss they have a secondary purpose even if it isn't clear at that moment.
However how does he deal with the range of where he attacks? Being a swordsman one would expect that he would be more effective at fighting up close. However for Edward when it comes to deal with how far away he will be from a foe when using his bow and arrow it all depends on what he deems suitable. It doesn't matter to him at what range he fights at given his expertise in close quarter combat and his method of fighting from afar makes the distance really not matter especially if he is replicating his normal style when using arrows.
For both close range and far away he is comfortable in terms of fighting someone. When at close ranges he simply thinks of his bow as a blade and acts as such. He knows where the striking zone of the bow is and how best to use his arrows in such close quarters. All the while making sure that he keeps his distance from those that have close range attacks that can be lethal if hit. At this range it's more likely than not he is simply using his small bow in order to reduce the space he needs to fire off the bow, while less arrows can be fired at once the distance keeps them from missing that often.
When it comes to fighting at long range with his bow, he will almost always use the full bow to be able to fire off arrows without the same limitation that the small bow has. When this far away Edward is usually watching and waiting for the opponent to make a move before he will fire off an arrow. Each arrow usually aimed at a vital spot for movement or life. While one might think that Edward would be bad at ranged fighting, however his mastery of shockwaves allows him to fight at ranged comfortably.
Edward is a sword master through and through . His arrows form into a blade and allows him to fight with ease without worry if his swords will be destroyed or broken, which happens from time to time as he uses too much force to strike someone. As such Edward is most comfortable in fighting close range and keeping the distance between him and his target almost zero so that he can overwhelm them with his strength and speed. Each strike is precise and smooth, unlike that of most shingami who seem to be a madmen with a sharp blade.
When it comes to Edward he doesn't simply use one blade at a time, no that would be silly, instead Edward uses several at a time. Either hand will either have a blade in it or one forming as he strikes. One of the tactics he likes to use is when he clashes with someones else's blade and he is pushing them back he fires off that blade allowing his hand to slip through and then forming another right there slashing past their defense and cutting into them faster than they could even realize. Each strike either he uses a blade or creates one mid way through.
The battlefield around Edward will eventually be covered in discarded blades. Each of them carrying his own strength. When that happens Edward will show off his true strength, often letting his foes think that they are forcing him to use more weapons constantly, however this is a trap for those so foolish enough to think that he needs so many weapons to kill them. With his release he will force them all upwards and into his foe from all angles striking them and killing them. A simple trap, but an effective one.
However skilled Edward is with his blade that doesn't mean that he simply uses swords. That would be short sighted and rather fooling leaving him with a clear and easily seen weakness. Something that would bring nothing but trouble when fighting with someone who could deal with his sword style with ease. No knowing at a young age that he should turn his entire body into a weapon, Edward has made it so that every bit of his body is a lethal weapon. Those that simply think that Edward is just a swordsman would find out the hard way that ,that isn't the truth.
Edward's true power comes in the form of something simple that belongs to those who dedicate themselves to honing their body. Those that reach this upper echelon of strength and power gain something that can be seen as close to that of a godlike power. This simple godlike power is called shock waves. By using a person's physical strength they're able to use their strength to create a raw impact of force to move forward or in other directions. This is something that anyone can do if they train hard enough, but those that haven't don't often know that these exist and can come to a surprise especially if Edward uses them out of nowhere.
Edward has taken shock waves to the next level as he mixes them with his basic swordsmanship. By using them he is able to keep his distance and attack with full force from afar. As such Edward has developed his own ways to use them with his own power. Most commonly he is able to swing his blade creating a wave of force to make a shockwave that was massive and large somewhat like the waves of reiatsu that others use. A simple power but one that is super effective and one that he continued to hone and make stronger.
Bow Release Overall Theme
Edward's overall theme for his bow release is simple when it is said, however at first it seems a bit uncollected. The theme is the strongest swordsman. Unlike other powers that revolve around making use of a high reiatsu strength, Edward's makes use of high strength instead. From being able to summon blades with a durability equal to a person's strength to making sure that each motion isn't wasted when striking or attacking. Everything is to make the user a stronger swordsman and a better fighter.
Bow Release Properties
False Selee Schneide: Edward's arrows turn his basic arrows from being made of reiatsu into solid spiritual steel versions of Selee Schneide. Each blade while held by Edward is has durability and offensive cutting power equal to his strength. These blades however also allow Edward to use the technique Selee Schneide through them acting as the hilts. Any Selee Schneide, be it the false ones he creates or the technique used through this property is able to have his other bow properties affect them. If Selee Schnedie is used on a copy of false Seele Schneide his os is lost on it and it's propertyacts as a real Selee Schnedie. Activating seele scheedie costs three times as much as normal and mantaining it costs twice as much as normal.If the cost isn't paid the blade turns back to a normal flase selee scheide.
Never Ending Blade: Unlike normal firing properties that activate when an arrow is first fired off Edward's firing property is used after the arrow has been fired. After an arrow has been fired Edward is able to refire a used arrow in a direction that he so wishes. When the arrow is being refired it leaves out at a speed equal to 1200 speed if it's with in fifteen feet of him and at normal speeds if it's outside of fifteen feet. The maximum times an arrow can be refired is three times costing 100 reiatsu each time it's used.
Unwasted strength: The power property that Edward has is very simple, it makes it so that the strength that is used with every motion that is done with one of his swords isn't wasted. When the swung is swung or is moving in a direction the force of the swing or motion carries on past the initial swinging or motion resulting in a shock wave of physical force that continues outwards at the same speed and strength of which the sword was swung at. This is very similar to shockwaves and give it's a distortion of the wind using his physical strength the power of the waves are based off of his own strength. The range of the waves can go out 50 feet for every 200 in strength used to create the motion that resulted in the shockwave.
Thirteen strikes: The mass property of Edward is a very simple one yet extremely effective. Upon activation all swords become affected, what this does is that when an sword is fired or swung it results in twelve phantom arrows moving in the same way around the original swords in a twelve pointed compass rose formation. These twelve phantom swords all carry the same power as the original one however this requires a cost of and cost of 75 reiatsu per base sword and all are roughly six inches away from the blade.
The sharpest blade is myself: Edward's heart property is very simple, every single part of his entire body when the heart property is active is considered to be the same as a physical arrows he creates in his form property. Edward can't use Selee Schneide on his body however in this form, nor can he move his entire body with Never Ending Blade. Every post after the fist post of activation the duriblity of this property and only the durrability is degreded by 10%. Edward can repay the cost of this property essentually reactivating it to refresh it.
Sense of the blade: Edward's soul property is a simple one. The area within 25 feet of him becomes charged and tensed. Anything that enters the area around him will set off vibrations that will alert him to what ever has entered within the range. While not directly offensive like his other techniques this does offer utility.
Vollstandig Appearance:
Edward's Vollstandig takes the form of black armor that covers his body along with red cloth drapped around the sides. On his back he sprouts a set of black angel wings that allow him to fly if needed. As well as the armor and wings his Vollstandig grants him a sword that he is able to use to attack with if needed. Edward won't use Vollstandig in combat that often given that it makes him weaker for the most part.

Technique Description and Effects: Selee Schneide is the pinnacle of a Quincy's ability to absorb Reiatsu. When activated, a medium-length blade of Reiatsu is formed from the hilt. This blade vibrates at very high frequencies, and is capable of loosening the bonds between Spirit Particles, and then stealing the free Spirit Particles.
When the Selee Schneide is activated, it has an offensive stat of 0, regardless of the user. However, it cannot be overpowered by a technique of equal or inferior class, regardless of that technique's offensive stat. Instead, any technique that interacts with Selee Schneide has its offensive stat reduced by 100, and then the Selee Schneide's offensive stat increases by 100. If the Selee Schneide interacts with a Reiatsu based being - such as a Shinigami, Arrancar, Hollow Akki, Rogue or Beast Clan - then the person struck loses 50 Reiatsu, and the Selee Schneide's offensive stat increases by 50. This includes when the Selee Schneide strikes an extension of that being's soul, such as part of their Zanpakuto or Ressurecion.
At any stage, the Selee Schneide can be fired by the user, using their standard bow, as an arrow. This arrow has an offensive stat and speed equal to that of the Selee Schneide at the time of firing.
How to use technique: Hold the Selee Schneide hilt in hand, and pay the appropriate Reiatsu Cost.
Technique Drawbacks: This technique requires the same amount of TTP as a Class 4 technique to learn. The Selee Schneide can only be activated at a Class equal to or lower than the user's. The Selee Schneide can only steal Reiatsu from techniques or beings whose Class is lower to, or equal to, the Class of the Selee Schneide. This technique requires a Selee Schneide hilt (item) to use, and each hilt can only be used once. The costs for activating the Selee Schneide is the same as normal Quincy arrows. It then costs the same amount of Reiatsu per post to maintain it.

Technique Description and Effects:
Shockwaves are a force created by those with high strength that allow the user to push away opponents with the force of their strikes. While most shockwaves are very basic and result in a very basic pattern of the attack, those that strive to perfect this craft are able to do something a bit more with shockwaves. Upon mastery of shockwave control the user is able to bend and shape shockwaves differently, able to change the size and shape. While a punch would normally result in a straight shockwave a shockwave control master could make it so the shockwave it's self is flattened as if it came out from a blade.
How to use technique):
When using shockwaves the user manipulates them in order to form their shape and size.
Technique Drawbacks
The primary drawback is that this doesn't actually do anything but change the shape and form of the shockwave. The shockwaves don't have a class because these are still simple shockwaves. This technique is simply to mold shockwaves and is the basis for other techniques. The secondary is to even learn this technique one must be class three and have at least 800 strength. While manipulating a shockwave a user isn't able to go to extremes. Shockwaves must stay within reason and can't be manipulated to sizes that would be 3 times larger than normal.

Technique Description and Effects:
When standing the user uses their strength and forces a shockwave to come out from their feet. This shockwave erupts outward and forces the ground under the user's feet to shake and tremble in a distance of a thousand feet around the user destroying and shaking the ground . Those that are caught in the area of the shockwave will find stand upright is harder and lose balance as the earth is shaking and the terrain is breaking apart. Those using step techniques during the shockwave will find themselves falling over and tripping if they don't have enough strength to stay upright. The shaking of the earth lasts for two posts .
How to use technique:
The user channels their strength into their legs and fires out the shockwaves from the bottom of their feet to create the wave.
Technique Drawbacks
Unlike other shockwaves that will heavily damage a foe if they pass through them this shockwave is meant to disrupt making the damage from the actual tech low, but still there. While standing a person must have at least a quarter of the strength of the shockwave to not fall over. While moving without step techniques the user must have at least half of the shockwave's strength to not fall over. While using a step tech the user must have at least 75% of the strength of the shockwave, to not fall over. Costs 200 reiatsu per quake.

Upon learning the technique the shockwaves that are done with slicing wave lose 95% of it's ability to pass through objects. After mastering the technique only 25% of the impact force of the tech will act as normal shockwaves.

History:
Edward was born as Adelhard König to his father and mother Rainhard Konig and Emma Konig respecfully. Emma was excited to have her own child after so many failed attempts. Adelhard was the first born to Rainhard and Emma, sadly he would be the last born to Emma given her condition, but he wouldn't be the last born of Rainhard. His father's ambition would be to have a large family and if his first wife would be unable to give that to him he would find another worth claiming as his wife, however for now he had his first born and he held him proudly in his arms.
Rainhard proudly held him upwards and smiled. “Adelhard, you are my first, you shall help me train the others.”You see Adelhard was the first in the line of pure blooded quincies that his father had planned on bringing into this world. As such almost instantly his father would teach him about the truth of the world and start his training to become the proper quincy solider for the Vandenreich army. All in hopes of bringing forth a new era to the Vandenreich, an era that would result in the death of all those shingami.
The years went on normally for the most part for Adelhard Konig. For the most part he grew up as a normal German child. Going to a normal school for kids in Germany, Adelhard had friends and even developed a childhood crush on a girl who was in the same class as him For the most part he was a normal kid and not a true blooded quincy that could kill all the every day adults he interacted with. That however was only true when he was in public or around strangers, behind closed doors his childhood was much different.
When in the company of his father and mother he was forced to do harsh and strict. Every night after finishing his normal human homework his father would take Adelhard into the black forest behind their home and force him to hunt hollows that he summoned with the hollow bait. Each night he would forced to kill at least one hundred hollows without fail or he would be left without supper and forced to starve that night. Some nights were harder than others given that at times Rainhard would impose limits on what Adelhard could use to kill hollows. Some nights it was only his bow and arrows, other nights it had to be a specific ginto, there were a few times where Adelhard had to kill multiple hollows with a single arrow for them to count.
Yet his night wasn't done after killing the hollows, no instead after supper he was forced to learn and memorise everything related to quincies and the Vandenreich. Each volume and each tome was to be memories and prioritized over his actual school work. The only reason his human world school work was to be done first was to keep up appearance that he was a normal child in this town. This training started at the ripe age of four and very little deviations would happen till around the age of six.
While not really understanding what exactly was happening at a young age he did understand that he was getting a new little sister, however it wasn't his mother who was giving birth to her it was another woman. When he asked his father about this his father simply said “one day you will understand that the duty to father more quincy overwrites the loyalty in your heart.” Those words struck deep in his mind as he saw the face of his mother. It was clear that she didn't like the fact that she wasn't the only woman in her husband's life, yet she never said anything about it.
Yet at such a young age he was more interested in being able to protect his new little sister than the actual stability of his parent's marriage. It was also at this time that Adelhard started to develop a love of something besides simply training and learning how to fight hollows. It happened by chance that he was able to stumble upon a tv show. He was mesmerized by something in the show, he saw the power and explosions the main characters had. What he had stumbled upon was Dragon ball Z, knowing that he could actually do some of the things in that show he started to watch more intently and be mesmerized by it all. This new obsession helped him detach what was going on with his family.
After finding his new obsession on T.V. He wanted to replicate some of the things he saw and one of them was being able to punch rocks in half with his bare fists. This was seen as a waste of time to his father, him commenting that “we quincies are masters of the bow and arrow, not brutes with fists come here and let me show you how to properly hold a bow.” Adelhard however decided that this was something he wanted to do and wouldn't be persuaded otherwise so after everything his father made him do on a daily basis he started to train his body to make himself able to destroy stone with a simple strike.
This would continue for another three years till his father announced that he would become a big brother once again. At this point Adelhard was excited, his little sister would soon start her own quincy training and it would be up to him to push her like he had been pushed. His father would expect nothing less than the same harsh training to be pushed onto his little sister as he had been forced to do at that age. While at first it would seem easy for him to teach her the basics he knew that by the time she was five she would have to kill hollows left and right just like he did every night. Because killing one hundred hollows a night had become to easy of a chore for him to do his father now insisted that the number be raised to two hundred and it didn't matter how many hollow baits he had to use to get it done it had to be done each night.
By this time Adelhard had learned the truth about what hollows were and what happened to the soul that laid inside after it was killed by an arrow, yet he didn't care he was instilled with the notion that he had to kill hollows, after all it was his duty as a quincy and a soon to be Vandenreich to slaughter the unclean as they aren't worth returning to the soul cycle. A hollow was as good as a diseased rat to purge it was helping the world being rid of the taint and toxin that it spewed just by existing.
Adelhard was nine years old by the time his little brother was born, his sister was just turning four in a few months and he was happy with the way the world was working. Each day he would go to school see his human friends who were lost souls that needed the true god the Emperor to guide them to the truth. At home he would train to better serve his god king getting his sister ready to start learning her craft and at the end of the night he would start his own training to make his body stronger, strong enough to punch and destroy boulders.
Almost everything was good for him say for the times that he heard the adults talking about his family behind his back. Making mentions about how odd it was that his mother was still with his father now that he had sired two other children with a woman who wasn't her. The rumors started to flood through the town that his father was a womanizer and had wandering eyes for any pretty young thing that came his way. It was true that his step mother was much younger than his mother and that she was much prettier, but Adelhard knew the truth, yet he kept quiet as his father warned him not to talk about their true nature to the common folk.
It was around this time that his mother's health started to fade, while obsessed with training and getting stronger he failed to realize that his mother was getting sicker and sicker with each passing day. No he was busy with training his sister Nicole in the afternoons, then getting to his own training followed by his body strengthening workouts that he failed to even notice that his mother was getting out of bed less and less each day. His father had inherited a large sum of money from his forefathers simply by using their quincy powers to dominate and oppress during the world wars and steal from those around them. While it wasn't public knowledge how his family had money it was known that they did have a lot of it. As such his mother nor father had to work which made it easy for them to simply be around the house.
It was only after his mother became so ill that his father had to call a doctor to come and see her that Adelhard took notice of his mother's condition. She was getting weaker and weaker by the day and when he visited her she was nothing more than skin and bones. It seemed that the ovarian cancer that kept her from having more kids could no longer be kept treated with ginto and was now rapidly spreading to other parts of her body. The doctors gave less than a month till she would pass, it was at this time that Adelhard saw a change in his father. While normally the man wouldn't stop the training for anything he told Adelhard that he would have the time off so he could spend it with his mother.
It was a touching sentiment that his father did, he assumed mostly for his mother, however it was vain given that shortly after the doctor came to visit his mother passed away. The break from training that he got only lasted a few days. Afterward he heard his father screaming and yelling at someone up in his mother's room. An explosion happened followed by the death of someone and blood spilling everywhere. The only thing that Adelhard was able to see was a blade tossed aside landing near him. Taking up the blade he felt something awaken in him, something that he felt surging in his body and resonating with the blade.
Several things changed after that night, the first was that his father officially married his second wife and made it official. The next was the training became harsher for both him and his little sister as he was made aware that he would no longer train her instead his father would resume the training himself. However the most important thing was Adelhard was able to use the first property of his power. If it was by fate or by simple chance it became a blade, his father was baffled by this, however he accepted this fate, knowing that he wasn't qualified to teach his son the way of the blade he contacted an old friend and invited him to live with them.
It would take a few months, however eventually Adelhard's teacher would come to the same town. The man was known as Moritz Heinrich, however he didn't come alone, he came with a daughter about the same age as Adelhard. She was Samantha Heinrich and while she hid herself behind her father Adelhard could tell that she was pretty. He felt something in his heart twitch, it was the feeling of a crush. Adelhard was excited to learn however Moritz refused to live in the same home as them and opted to buy a home nearby in the same city so that him and Samantha could have a place of their own.
It would take half a year after his mother's death before Adelhard would eventually start to learn swordsmanship from Moritz as things continued to come up. However in all of this time he was still working on making his body stronger and killing hollows left and right, at the same time he was trying to get closer to Samantha to learn more about her. It was the first time he had met a quincy girl who wasn't related to himself. She seemed so different that his mother and sister and he couldn't quite place it but it drew him to her.
At twelve years old Adelhard was tasked with something important. While he had experience killing hollows and was able to do it with ease he had never been in a real life and death fight against someone who could adapt and fight like a human could. As such it was time for a very important hunt and one that his father knew that his son could all too well die in, however he held his trained son ready and strong enough to take care of the foe. Adelhard was to kill a shingami in cold blood.
While normally they would avoid harming a shingami especially not wanting the wrath of the soul society to come down on them this wouldn't help Adelhard become someone stronger. So the whole family traveled to Berlin on vacation. Rainhard wasn't a fool and knew better to invite more dead shingami in their town, so if one died in a major city then they would look their at what caused the death of this shingami and not to them. Adelhard was told the truth of this trip and vacation from the very beginning so he wouldn't have any illusions of this being a simple trip.
The trip was only two days, the first day was them arriving and looking around the city. Adelhard took his time admiring the city and how different it was compared to his own. His little sister and little brother were also having fun at the same time. He didn't care that in a few short hours he would be sent by his father to go kill a shingami, right now he was a normal kid enjoying his fun and the time spent with his family. By the time it became dark he had made so many new memories and experiences that he would keep for the rest of his life, however it was time to get to business.
After sunset Adelhard started to get to work with his father. They only had a single night to have him fight a shingami before they had to get back to their normal life, they couldn't waste this opportunity and simply let the night slip without them finding a shingami, no they had to tip the scales in their favor of running into one. As such Rainhard used hollow bait and allowed for a massive amount of hollows to gather in the city. Ordering Adelhard to not shoot down the hollows so that they could gather in mass forcing soul society to take action and make them send out shingami.
After an hour of waiting and watching the hollows wreak havoc in the city they spotted them. Several shingami came out from the senkaimon and started to descend among the city killing hollows left and right as they did so. Rainhard smiled seeing so many different shingami and before Adelhard could even move he was stopped. “Your task has changed, there are five shingami kill all of them.” Adelhard looked at his father wondering why he had made such a drastic change to the original plan. “Father, why all of them didn't we want to..” A slap would come across his face from his father and Rainhard would say “do it for the Vandenreich, kill them all boy or don't come back.”
While he had been treated in a rough manor during his training this had been the first time that his father had struck him. Adelhard didn't know how to respond to this, he was in shock at the fact that his father had hit him and made him fear that his father could do worse. The words as well struck fear in him as well, while not exactly the loving normal father, his father never said anything like that before. Something was different, however he knew that if his father was like this then there was only one option, kill the shingami so he could return home proud and happy.
Looking at them all he waited till one of them separated themselves from the group, Adelhard was a smart kid, he knew better than to try and fight all of them at once. He had a strong feeling that if he tried that he would die from simply being overwhelmed by the sheer number of them all. It didn't take long for the group of shingami to split up and all go after different hollows. So the choice was which one would he go after first? Looking at them all from this far away he couldn't tell anything about them so he simply went after the one that was the closest to him .
Landing in front of the shingami he looked at the person he was about to kill. This shingami seemed to be a bit older than him in appearance, however his father had told them that they often lived much longer than humans so they were often much older than they appeared. The shingami had a confused look across his face as Adelhard landed infront of him. “Hey kid, get on outa here you it's not safe.” This person that he was sent to kill, he was worried about his own well being instead of being afraid. Was this really the enemy?
Adelhard had his doubts for the first time, how could his foe actually be a nice person. How could the shingami who he was told were the enemy want to keep him safe? Had his father lied to him? Had it all been a lie? Taking a step back Adelhard wanted to run away and not do this anymore. With the shingami facing him he didn't see the hollow that was going to attack him. Out of instinct Adelhard pulled out his bow and fired out an arrow killing the hollow, sadly the shingami saw this as an attack from the young boy.
Adelhard was barely able to fire out another arrow before the shingami decided to swing at him. The arrow would puncher the lungs of shingami. It was a slow and painful death and Adelhard had a front row seat to it. The shingami's eyes were filled with rage and anger at what had just happened. That he was going to die because of a quincy boy. Sadly all of this was due to a simple misunderstanding, to Adelhard however it only steeled his resolve, he had tried to help and even saved the life of the shingami and the moment that the shingami saw that he was a quincy he attacked him. It meant that all shingami were scum and needed to die.
That hesitation he had, that moment in which he doubted himself and everything he had learned in his life was now gone. He knew that if he allowed the shingami to live they would come for him one day, come for him and his family and he wasn't about to have that. A simple misunderstanding had set Adelhard deeper into his determination to strike against the shingami and end their lives, for all of this was for one thing and one thing only, to become a powerful member of the Vandenreich. The night would end and Adelhard would be covered in blood, blood of the shingami's yet he was happy knowing that he had done the deed to protect his family in the future.
Coming back to the hotel room Rainhard smiled seeing that his son had come back without an issue. Especially given that he could no longer sense any shingami and felt the moment that each of them stopped existing. The sun had started to rise which caused Nicole to awaken and see her brother covered in blood still she started to cry worried that he was hurt. With a smile Adelhard picked up his little sister and held her tight before speaking “Don't worry sis, I'm fine, there were some bad men who wanted to hurt you, but I stopped them. I'll always protect you, no matter what.”
From that night on forward Adelhard made a promise to himself that no matter what he would protect his family from any danger that might come their way. As such he started to grow closer with them, spending more time training and getting to know them better. They weren't the only person he started to get close to, no in fact by the time he was sixteen he had become very close to Samantha Heinrich. His little crush had started to develop into love. He had spent so many years training with her father that over time he had been able to speak with her more, and soon that feeling of love started to come from her too.
While the both of them had to respect the fact that their parents were close friends it didn't stop them from taking time to sneak away and have small dates here and there. It truly was a wonderful time in his life, especially after it was found out that Rainhard and Moritz both agreed that it would be a good idea that when the two of them were older that they be married to one another. This news came right after more education about the filthy half breeds known as nakkabaki. It was found out that some creatures from hell called akki were able to breed with other races creating a half breed called nakkabaki and these monsters were demon spawn and an insult to the very nature of all races.
Everything seemed to be going great, that was till a few weeks after that lesson. In all the time he had known Samantha he had never actually seen her left arm, she always kept it covered up and when she used her bow she would wear a glove over her hand. Yet mixed with both excitement and love she made a mistake and showed Adelhard her arm. At first he was confused to what had happened to her arm, he assumed that it was an old injury that had healed in a horrible way. However her words made it very clear that that wasn't the case.
“What, no silly..... I wasn't hurt... I was born like this. My real dad was an akki....... hey Adelhard are you ok?” The entire time she had been talking Adelhard started to understand and piece it together, the girl that he loved, the person who was suppose to be his wife.... she was a filthy half breed. An abomination, one that had to be purged.
Unlike before with the shingami where he had a bit of reservation in killing his mind was made up. He knew what had to be done, what had to be removed from this world. Without saying anything to her he took a step away from her and turned to face her directly. In an instant he thrusted his blade into her heart killing her, the last words she would hear from him would be him saying “die you abomination.” She would die rather painlessly, however due to his arrow killing her, her soul was destroyed and utterly removed from the soul cycle. With her death however he was only half way done, there was still someone else that needed to be punished.
Moritz was next, Samantha and Adelhard had been in Moritz's home when he had learned about her true nature, while Moritz was visiting Rainhard. Adelhard knew that he had the advantage when it came to a sneak attack and that's what he planned on doing. He left their home and headed back to his with one focus on his mind, to kill the man that had been harboring a sin against creation. He would be easy to find he was sitting down in the backyard with Rainhard talking. There wasn't even time for the glass to fall on the ground before Adelhard stabbed Moritz in the back killing him.
At first Rainhard was ready to attack his son however he stopped the moment that Adelhard dropped the cursed arm of Samantha on the table. “She was a sin against quincy and he allowed her to live.” Rainhard was upset that he had lost an old friend, but proud that his son had killed the abomination that was Samantha. Rainhard simply went inside and made preparations to destroy both Samantha and Moritz's bodies. It would be hard to destroy an old friend like that, but his son was right they had violated this world by allowing that abomination that was Samantha to live and almost take away from another pure quincy bloodline.
Only a few months after that, that Adelhard was old enough to finally enter into the Vandenreich, being almost seventeen yes he was younger than most, however he was eager and being pure blooded helped him get into the Vandenreich at such a young age. This had been everything that he had been training for his entire life. It would be the first time he was around so many different quincy. The most he had ever been around was when his father hosted a party for a few old friends, but even then that number paled in comparison to the Vandenreich.
However everything wasn't as he assumed it would be. While there were a number of pure blooded quincy there were also plenty of races who were turned into quincy and those that were half bloods. It was odd to see so many of these impure in the order. Over time he came to learn that those impure were used to help boldter the numbers of the Vandenreich, however each time he interacted with one of them they were a constant disappointment and blight upon the name of the Vandenreich. It would be two years till Adelhard came back to his family, however the reason wasn't a happy one.
There are some things in the world that you can't control. One of those is the actions of another behind the wheel and what they were doing just before that. His step mother didn't often drive, but when she did she made sure that it was an event for her. She often loved the feeling of driving and going at fast speeds. Well that came to be one of her down falls. At a light she floored it and tried to speed to the next light to catch it before it would turn. Well sadly in her rushed car she failed to see that a car was coming her way. They had a head on collision that hit the car killing her and the people in the other car. However, she wasn't alone in the car, she had been driving with Friedrich.
Friedrich wasn't as luck as his mother, while she had died rather painlessly he had survived, however death would have been better for him given the state that he had survived in. Friedrich suffered massive brain trauma rending him nothing more than an empty shell of human. Friedrich lacked any basic ability to care for himself or ability to communicate. He was essentially a vegetable needed to be taken care of by others. This information was kept from Adelhard however until he arrived back home, he had assumed that he would be attending both his stepmother's and brother's funeral.
Not knowing the fate of his brother was upsetting when he found out the truth from his father and sister. They were keeping him alive and helping him survive. Adelhard couldn't stand seeing this, his brother, a proud quincy was now nothing more than a leech to both his father and sister. This had to stop, there was no need for someone like him to continue to exist living. If they couldn't heal the damage done to his brother's brain using quincy techniques then the only proper course of action was to put him down like the subhuman that he had become.
The morning of his stepmother's funeral Adelhard went into the room they were keeping his brother and looked at his former family member. Seeing how far he had degraded and what he had become. It was only a few months prior that he had seen his brother in pictures he use to be strong, smart, agile and now he couldn't even chew his own food. What was laying in this bed wasn't his brother, it wasn't even human anymore. Adelhard created a blade in his hands and plunged it deep into the chest of his half brother. This was a mercy killing, after all his brother was better off dead than a drag on pure blooded quincy.
Adelhard wouldn't go to his monther's funeral, instead making sure that all traces of his half brother were gone. He wouldn't tell the truth to his sister, however he told the truth to his father only to comment on how weak the man had been when it came time to removing a plague on their linage. “Be thankful I know of your commitment to the Vandenreich if anyone else had found out you would have been killed for keeping such a foul thing alive for so long. Pray that I never have to come back for you father.”
With that Adelhard left his family and returned back to duty in the Vandenreich, over the years he was promoted a few times and even managed to become a sternritter. A proud honor for him given his young age and his dedication. Things would continue to be normal for a long time after that for Adelhard, now taking the name Edward as part of being a ritter. He would become twenty four before he learned of something that forced his hand to action once more. This time it involved the one person in his family that he loved more than anyone else, his little baby sister.
He had gotten a letter from his father at first he simply didn't read it however late one night he got a call from his sister asking for help before hanging up. So he decided to read the letter and he learned all about what she was doing, at first he didn't believe it, however a report came in about some pure blooded quincy who refused to join and her name came up. Tracking her down was an easy task, after all there weren't many places that she could go given the state she was in and given their upbringing, It took less than a week to find her, and even less time to decide his course of action for what she had done however there was someone else he had to see first.
Approaching his old home he looked at it, it had gone into disrepair and now looked like it was abandoned. He walked through the dirt covered halls remembering his childhood and his family. The state of the house now was utterly horrid and criminal. He knew why, it was the exact same reason as to why he had stopped reading the letters his father sent him. His father had given up on everything and turned to the bottle to help ease the pain. Opening the door to his father's study he found the man there with a half drunk bottle in his hand.
His father looked horrid as if he hadn't showered in weeks or eaten. The room was filled with empty bottles and smelled of alcohol and regret. “Pitiful, you call yourself a quincy?” He said to his father, as he stepped into the room He knew why his father started to drink, after the death of his step mom and his brother he started to lose focus and when Nicole refused to join the Vandenreich he lost it drinking to forget about his failures. It was possibly the fact that everything he had built towards was now gone say for him. Edward looked at his father and stabbed him in cold blood while the man slept, there was no need to keep a drunk with loose lips around. He would send members of the Vandenreich to clean and collect everything of value here before turning it into a new training ground in the human world. Now there was only one last thing to take care of, his little sister.
When she was alone he approached her in her home. However he didn't approach her as she would expect instead of being her loving and caring older brother, he came as Edward, E, The Excution. “What are you doing Nicole you know better than to have a child with a normal man. Give up this foolishness and get rid of it, we can still find you a nice pureblood who would have you.” He spoke in a cold and collected manor to his sister waiting to see what she would say. Her next words would seal her fate and make the choice for him.
He could clearly see that she was pregnant, there was no hiding the fact that she was with child, however that child wasn't pureblood, it was a filthy half breed and he wouldn't allow another to be born into this world just to sully his family name. “Adelhard, no... you know I can't do that, I won't do that, just let me go, we won't ever bother you or the Vandenreich again.... you promised to always protect your family.” The path was clear, he knew what had to be done and sadly it meant the death of a pureblood who had turned on them
He raised his blade up and swung it down slicing her down the chest and cutting the child. This would be a slow and painful death. Long enough for him to say what he needed to say to her and for her to absorb the meaning of the words. “I am protecting my family, protecting them from betrayers and sinners like you and your abomination of a child.” With that said he left her there to bleed to death and returned back to Silburn to finish off the report and note that she was dead and wasn't an issue any longer. She was only a single chapter in a book of death he had written and wouldn't be the last. [/ul][/blockquote]
That being said, can you point out to me where it lists the default arrow speed as 800? I've done a scan of the Quincy section, then a full read, and finally a find search to try and find this number. Went through the Quincy template, too. If you could point me to that, I'd sincerely appreciate that, as I'm a little surprised that information isn't anywhere, as you'd think we'd have a defined speed value. We'll get back to this technique at that point.
