Rafael was actually quite surprised yet not the least bit disappointed when the human in charge for so angry that he gave up and basically stormed out of the room. Well it wasn't really basically he did storm out of the small room right as the chains that he had made from within himself using what Rafael assumed was his energy in the same way the shinigami seemed to create elements.
When the chains released Rafael pushed away from him with his left arm while sitting up and swinging his legs over the side of the now dented table he was on. The white haired guy it seemed had been left in charge of watching over him. Rafael had only fought him for a brief moment in the sewers, but from that brief exchange of physical might he knew that although it seemed impossible with their size difference this human was stronger than him.
Rafael hadn't been expecting it as he got onto his feet, but the white haired guy asked him about where he was from and his friends. Rafael turned and looked at him for a moment. This guy was slightly different than others, but still couldn't be trusted. Rafael had to think of how to get back to his pack. "I'm from the same place as the Shinigami. I live in the wilds with my pack. Beyond that the only thing to really know is we try to keep to ourselves yet others tend to bother us." Rafael said as he gazed around the room making a subtle point that perhaps that was why he was currently in this room.
Jak nodded listening to the panther's responses to his line of questions. He was mostly just trying to be friendly and fill the silence that would no doubt dominate the room. He was also hopping that talking enough would keep things from getting out of hand. As much as Jak would like to fight Rafael again, he had promised Kazura to keep an eye on him, and keep things under control. It was his idea to leave him in charge after all. It would look bad on him if he couldn't handle it. It didn't seem that Rafael wasn't that bad a person. Just someone like him that wanted to be left alone and enjoy his own life. Well at least he had some friends.
Still that left the question of how he got to the world of the human world to begin with. If what the panther said was true, he didn't seem to be the type that would have leaped into a portal willingly let alone create one. "So then how did you get here? I mean what event lea up to you being in this world." He added not wanting to leave any room for the smart ass remarks. Jak tensed slightly as Rafael got to his feet walking around. Jak was confident that he could take the panther man, but still didn't want to fight right now if he didn't have to. He was on guard, but tried to stay relaxed a little bit. Jak wanted to know if this was some sick game to some twisted shinigami or just an odd coincidence.
Although he wasn't restrained by the straps and the table anymore Rafael didn't try to break out of the room yet instead he planned to use this time to think about a way that he could possibly get back to his home. Although there was still the major problem of not knowing exactly how he had even gotten here. It seemed that the white haired guy was interested in the same thing though as he asked Rafael what had he been doing when he had come back to the human world. Rafael looked down at the guy and although he wasn't to happy with being locked up here he thought better about this guy than anyone else so far with how he had spoken to his boss about him and even agreed with him about humanity.
"I'm not sure how I got here really. All I was doing was training alone in order to pull off a new technique when what looked like a circle appeared in front of me. I might have touched it. Could that have been what brought me here?" Rafael still didn't understand most of the spiritual things that now had become a major part of his life. He was used to simply trying to survival and now look after his friends. Everything was changing so fast and it seemed like he couldn't keep up with all of the changes. Perhaps this guy could help him out though and if not he'd have to simply keep trying to find his way back by himself.
Jak listened to the compressed line of events nodded every now and then. It was a complete accident then. Judging from how he was running earlier, it did seem that he was just confused and out of his element when he showed up. He believed that he mentioned something about friends, and needing to get back to them. Jak could also tell how tense the Panther Man was. Jak tended to act the same way when stressed, anxious, confused, angry, or any combination of such emotions. Jak thought about what to do now. The feline was his responsibility now. The only thing that he could think of what what calmed his own nerves. Letting off some steam.
Jak stood up motioning for him to follow. "Come on, I got an idea about how to help, at least a little bit." He said with a half smile. He turned his back to the panther, as Jak lead on. He was confident in his own abilities against the panther, but Jak was also sure that he wouldn't act out with such odds as the entire staff stacked against him. They would walk down the hall way to an elevator. Jak would wait for Rafael to enter with him before hitting the bottom to descend down into one of the training rooms. "So, what's your name? Mine's Jak." He figured that it would be less awkward to talk if they new each other's names. The elevator would descend with a quietly, Jak waiting in the awkward silence if Rafael didn't decide to respond.
Once the elevator stopped, Jak would step out first leading them into a large training field. The floor was barren of obstructions, and the walls and floor were covered in a layer of thin, yet sturdy protective material for the combatants, as well as for the rest of the building. Once in the center, Jak would start to stretch his arms and legs. He sighed relieved to stretch out his muscles. He was getting absolutely restless sitting in that cramped room. He was willing to answer any of the other man's questions, if he had any. "Whenever you're ready." Jak would finally say standing straight once his limbs were stretched to his satisfaction.
Well if nothing less at the moment the youngish looking guy wasn't as bad as he had originally thought. Unlike his boss he didn't assume that I was here to cause problems. He wasn't attacking him outright like the glowing guy he first came across. Granted Rafael didn't like the guy either as he had attacked him in the sewers and been part of the reason he was captured and brought here in the first place.
After he had told him what he had been doing before he somehow got back got he world he knew as a Human this guy said he had an idea of how he could help Rafael get back home. He wasn't as much of an as whole as Rafael had expected after the original conflict between them. He would keep himself from attempting to escape as at this point it didn't suit him. What did he have to gain from running away when he didnt want to stay in the human world and these people might be able to help get him back.
Getting into the elevator was a bit of a pain though as he was now so much larger than he had been while he was human. He had known that simple fact from the first few moments of his new life, but now was the first time he could actually compare himself to the human world and in truth it just felt so . . tiny now. He would stay quiet until together they reached the new room and Rafael picked up on the aura that this guy was giving off. Despite wanting to get home as soon as possible he couldn't fight off the urge of battle especially at facing off against someone he knew was able to match his strength.
He was decent enough to introduce himself which was still a nice change of pace when dealing with others that didn't happen to be Beas . . well no that wasn't really right. Even the other beasts he had come across usually weren't very friendly. Eh just leave it how it is. "I'm Rafael. What's this idea you've thought up to help get me back to wherever it is I've come from?" whether or not Jak answered him or not Rafael would learn once they got out of the elevator and into the next room.
Jak got into the center of the room and began to stretch making it obvious that of nothing else this was going to be a sparring session between the two of them that could sooth some of the stress and worry he was feeling through true excitement and joy that came when facing off against someone that could challenge his limitations. Rafael would bend and stretch a few times himself. "Well then let's see which one of us is really the best."

Jak finished his stretching straightening himself to his full height. He took his vest off his shoulders, and tossed it to the edge of the room. Jak smiled bringing his left foot forward, and his feet shoulder width apart. He brought his arms up, with his fists eye level. He bounced on the balls of his feet. Ready to react to anything that Rafael does. "Make sure you don't hold back." Jak said his grin getting wider. "I would hate to beat you knowing that it wasn't at your best." Jak remembered roughly how fast Rafael was moving in the sewer, as well as how hard he was hitting. Jak would start there, he didn't want to outright crush the panther. What fun was there in that?
Jak would dart in pushing off with his back foot, and throwing a quick left jab when his leading foot hit the ground. He would keep close throwing a right hook at the panther's side. With his hips wound for a third punch, Jak would then pivot on his left foot throwing his hip into a hard, and fast, uppercut. For now, Jak would limit himself to just martial arts. He was unfamiliar with the abilities of beast people like Rafael. If Rafael were to use any sort of spiritual abilities, Jak would respond in kind, but he would worry about that later. Jak was hoping that Rafael wouldn't disappoint him. He wanted to fight him fairly, and without anyone interfering.
Just before Jak charged forward he spoke up again bringing a grin to the dark fur covered face of the large feline Beast. The energy of competition was heavy and Rafael embraced it. The confidence of his challenger brought out Rafael's excitement as a martial artist and he was ready now to throw down against this guy and prove he was the better of them.
Jak rushed him extending his left arm outwards in a quick jab. Rafael was in his Muay Boran stance ready for Jak's rush with his elbow allowing him to deflect the jab. The right hook that followed Rafael would block by raising his left leg stopping the hook by connecting his knee with the wrist of Jak's right. Neither would get hurt by the placement yet both attacks would cease the other. Rafael was ready to strike now with Jak so closed. The uppercut from Jak came quick and would strike Rafael under his chin causing a large amount of pain.
Thanks to the difference in height though the maximum amount of damage that Jak might have inflicted on him was limited. In the moment that followed Rafael would extend his right arm out not as a punch like Jak had been utilizing instead striking towards the man with his massive elbow positioned to strike on the side of jak's head. Of he missed Rafael was ready to push off the floor with his right foot and raise his right leg up to knee Jak in his chest.

Jak's first two punches were blocked fairly easily. Unlike Rafael, Jak really didn't use any specific martial arts style. His fighting style more of a brawler. He did receive martial arts training, but he just never been able to apply it during actual combat. To Jak, martial arts were a good base to learn to fight, and stay in shape, but when it came down to it, the fancier styles become impractical, and older styles too inflexible. He respected Rafael in the fact that he kept to his martial arts background, as far as it looked, but Jak would need to put it to the test against a real fight. The jab and hook were blocked by an elbow and knee respectively, but the uppercut managed to slip in.
Jak smiled when he felt his fist connect under the chin of the tall foe. He could tell by Rafael's face that it hurt. He wasn't used to fighting people this tall though. He didn't put enough body mass up into the punch to make it a one punch fight. It would have been boring that way anyway. As Jak was throwing the upper cut, he brought his right hand back to guard his head, which was good, for the tall panther man brought his elbow around to try and stick Jak's head. The elbow met Jak's unwavering forearm causing the chains on the arm to rattle loudly from the impact. Jak then noticed the knee coming up. Jak tried to pull his left elbow down to block it, but it was too slow.
Jak had to tighten his abs in order to keep from having the air knocked from his lungs. He did manage to dig his elbow into the tough thigh muscles of the panther, not much of a trade, but one none the less. Jak wanted to stay close to the panther. Rafael could out range Jak, and he knew it. Jak exhaled sharply and pushing hard with his feet pushing the knee though with his left hand, and atempting to grab the panther around the waist. He wanted to shoot in for a tackle driving both of them into the ground. If successful, Jak would also drive his shoulder into the panther's torso on impact with the ground before scrambling for a mounted position to rain down punches and elbows.
