Physical Description:
Head: Rafael's head is much larger than the typical individual not only due to his massive size in comparison to other individuals that stand on two feet, but also due to his feline nature. His head resembles like the rest of his body that of a large jaguar. It's mainly round with the only appendages on his head being visibly different than the circular shape are his ears. Rafael's ears like most feline are rather big or at least long in comparison to other races while his remain pointed upwards normally.
Face: Rafael's face although covered in his black fur has many different features that make it one of if not the most descriptive sections of his body. Rafael's nose is almost invisible to anyone that gazes upon him without actually looking very closely and focusing on that specific spot as it's the same color as his fur. His eyes on the other hand stick out at all times as he doesn't actually seem to have an eye coloration with them being white almost at all times. He doesn't even appear to have pupils or an iris normally unless like his nose someone inspects him very closer. Upon closer inspection one will see that his iris is actually a very dull grey and in fact he has no pupils. The last part of Rafael's face is the section that gathers the most attention as his mouth is exceedingly large with black colored lips that like the rest of his body make it hard to notice easily. His mouth though is filled with very large and sharp teeth. Rafael's tongue is colored the same as his internal organs being the only thing that he shares with most other races as they're all red in coloration.
Fur: Rafael's fur is what would classify him under the terminology of a Panther as it's pitch black with no other coloration present across his entire body at least on the outside. It's as if when he was reborn as a Beast his coat was made with only a single colored pencil. This coat of fur is very thick keeping Rafael warm and protecting him from the majority of cold weather and even cold situations created by spiritual individuals. Rafael's coat covers virtually his entire body like a normal feline with the only exception being his claws, lips, eyes and inner ears.
Body: Rafael's body is incredibly large even when compared to the majority of other feline Beasts he's incredibly tall when compared to most other races. He isn't just tall though as he also is much heavier than one would assume upon first glance. Rafael as a feline has a body covered in pitch black fur. Beneath his fur though Rafael is incredibly muscular and defined having biceps roughly the width of a bowling ball with thighs that match the same size. Rafael's claws are incredibly large and thick matching those of a massive feline such as a tiger or lion. Virtually every muscle of Rafael's body exceeds the normal standard in size while he has a very defined back and chest his core is the most defined with a twelve pack hidden beneath his fur.
Attire: Rafael doesn't in fact wear much of anything like one would assume of a Beast. He doesn't conceal his upper body in any kind of clothing as he enjoys his fur and finds nothing wrong in flaunting it in the wilderness. The only actual piece of clothing that Rafael wears out of shyness and respect towards others is a lion cloth around his waist that conceals his male genitals and acts as underwear as well. This loincloth his brown in coloration as it's made from the deceased skin of a slain meal.

Dislikes:
1. Dishonesty: Rafael hates it when people lie not only to him, but just in general. It doesn't matter if it's a small lie that in truth doesn't really matter or if it's something incredibly important to him a lie is a lie and can only lead to more lies. It's for this reason that Rafael may lose his temper or even cease speaking to someone when he catches them in a lie.
2. Cold Drinks: Rafael hates to drink anything that has a cold temperature as he is used to drinking at room temperature or even hot drinks. Although he'll deal if he has no other choice he isn't one that will drink anything cold happily and will normally take longer to finish something cold than he would the same thing if it were warmer.
3. Responsibility: To be specific Rafael doesn't like when individuals don't take responsibility for their actions whether the outcome be good or bad. If you do something then you have to own up to it. It's for this reason that if Rafael happens to come across someone that doesn't take responsibility for any action they might take he will from that moment on often hold a low degree of respect or think ill of the individual until they redeem themselves in some other way.
4. Humanoids: Rafael holds a grand deal of distant for any entity that happens to even remotely look like a normal human with the exclusion of other Beasts. Upon seeing any of these individuals Rafael will begin to glare and normally display threatening body language.
5. Most Vegetables: Rafael like many carnivorous Beast Clan has a tendency to enjoy meat above all other type of food yet even more than that he seems to hate the taste of most greens. Although he has tried them in the past and is well aware of the benefits to eating them he can't stand the sensation of them upon his tongue.
6. Ignorance/Intolerance: Rafael holds an incredibly hatred towards individuals that judge others based solely upon a single feature. This hatred was formed from his mistreatment from nearly everyone in his human life and the treatment he receives from not only the Shinigami, but the majority of souls in the Rukongai Districts as well. Although he hates individuals for this he himself isn't completely pure of the same thing as he holds a hate towards anyone that looks human in appearance.
Likes:
1. Potatoes: While Rafael dislikes the taste and sensation that he normally gets from eating vegetables he doesn't seem to get either experience when eating the ground plant.
2. The Rain: Rafael enjoys the sensation of the rain on his fur and especially his paws. He has a hard time describing why though yet enjoys the sensation that it gives him as the many different droplets make contact with him over the entirety of his body. He finds it refreshing and normally will actually go out in the rain instead of find shelter from it. HE does claim to sleep better when it's raining than he does normally.
3. Warm Weather: Rafael enjoys the weather when it's warm whether it be raining, humid, sunny or cloudy doesn't really matter so long as it remains warm in temperature. He isn't sure completely why he likes it warm beyond the obvious that he dislikes the cold and would rather be at peace and not have to worry about being cold. He always finds it easier to relax in the warmth compared to anything else.
4. Meeting Beasts: Rafael enjoys coming across other Beasts in the wilderness often finding different Beasts then himself which he finds interesting to say the least. He holds a grand interest in how their race is so much different than anything else he has seen so far and normally will try to give aid to any Beast that he comes across and make allies of them even if at first they come across in a negative manner.
5. Finding New Places: Rafael likes to travel and find different places in Soul Society. He never experienced much of the human world while he was alive and so has found an interest in traveling throughout the spiritual wilderness experiencing it in it's entirety.
Flaws:
1. Blunt: Rafael is very direct and to the point not wasting time beating around the bush or speaking indirectly. He isn't one to avoid a tough subject or hide how he feels from others regardless of their feelings.
2. Distance: Rafael has no method of fighting at a distance which makes facing off against them incredibly difficult as he must close the distance between himself and his foe in order to actually face off against them with a chance of victory.
3. Hypocritical: Rafael happens to be a hypocrite in regards to certain subjects or rather a very specific single subject which happens to be judging others. Rafael doesn't like to be judged or other Beasts to be judged simply for being what they are yet can't help himself from judging races that appear human simply for that fact.
Habits:
1. Biting Lips: Rafael has the bad habit of biting his lips when he is nervous.
2. Day Dreaming: Often slipping into his head when his attention is claimed by boredom Rafael can't help, but think of possibly future adventures or people that he might meet.
3. Picking Teeth: After eating Rafael tends to pick the left over food from his sharp teeth which he then will either flick away onto the ground or finish eating. He does this because he hates the feeling that left over food gives him when it's between his teeth.
4. Cracking Knuckles: As a result of training in Martial Arts and constantly having to use his hands Rafael tends to have the bad habit of cracking his knuckles as they often feel stiff. He is very thorough when doing this though as he will twist his fingers in each direction until they will no longer crack and he feels relief in them.
5. Practicing Martial Arts: Knowing that the Martial Arts style he learned from one of the only humans that ever cared enough to help him actually gave him strength to protect himself Rafael doesn't wish to lose his proficiency. In fact now as a Beast Rafael finds the importance of his physical combat more important than ever and as such practices what he knows and even tries to build upon it every single night.
6. Adventuring: Rafael loves to adventure throughout the wilderness of Soul Society. Finding new places whether they be covered in water, high in the trees or even in the flat lands everything is a new experiencing experience that he never had while he was a human.
Fears:
1. Illusions: Rafael fears what isn't actually there as he had been under the influence of Shinigami in the past that have cast spells on him he has developed a fear towards illusions. What is actually there and what isn't? Is what he sees actually there or isn't it? Is the person he sees or hears really there or is it someone else? It's the uncertainty of it all that brings fear to Rafael.
2. Hollows: Rafael holds a fear towards the white masked creatures that he had often seen in the wilderness that never seem to fight the same. Rafael has seen more than a few of them and fears the difference in strength that they all possess as each seems to have its own abilities. However, he is most fearful of the prospect of being eaten by one of them.
3. Dying: Although Rafael likes to act as if he's invincible and will put himself into harms way in order to survive and keep others of importance alive he does fear the idea of death. He's died once and didn't like the outcome of it. He isn't keen on testing out what will happen the next time he dies.
Goals:
1. Live Happily: Rafael wishes to live happily as a Beast whether that mean he finds other Beasts that he can call a family or not doesn't matter to him all that much right now. Throughout his life as a human he was always sad and never felt loved and from that he wants to always be happy or at least never experience such sadness as he did in his human life.
2. Gather Beasts: Rafael whether he knows it or not yet wants to eventually gather up a group of Beasts that he enjoys being around and he can trust. He wants to form a pack/family that look out for one another that he can trust with his life and live happily alongside throughout his new life as a Beast.
3. Master Martial Arts: Rafael accepts that his human life was a horrible experience, but his Martial Arts is the one thing that he believes he benefited from and as such wishes to hone it. A tool to protect himself and any others that need his protection or he wishes to protect. As such he realizes that eventually he'll come across someone or something that he isn't strong enough or skilled enough to defeat and as such wishes to master his style of combat as quickly as possible so he will never be helpless to defend himself or someone else again.
Alignment: Passive Neutral
Overall Personality: Rafael is a generally calm and gentle individual that enjoys peaceful activities and life style. He enjoys warm weather and traveling throughout the wilderness meeting other Beasts whether they be good or bad; friend or foe. However, he isn't above defending himself or another Beast against anyone that would try to do them harm whether they be from another race of Beast themselves. He is rather unique when compared to many other Beasts as while he is blunt he is also polite to other Beasts normally showing his respect unless said individual has done something to lose his respect in the past.
Rafael never really experienced any kind of interact with the opposite sex and because of that even now as a Beast is actually rather shy and timid around them not really knowing exactly what to say or how to act around them. This is especially true when it comes to females that he finds attractive as he can be compared to a young adolescent boy normally finding himself unsure of the situation and nervous when there is nothing to be nervous about. One thing remains true though as he shows them equal respect regardless of their sex.
Despite his very caring and protective nature in regards to other Beasts Rafael is almost the exact opposite in regards to races that appear human. While this means that the majority of races he dislikes or at least doesn't trust and would rather have nothing to do with he isn't above simply walking away from them normally. However, if they should do anything that he disagrees with or happens to even feel is disrespectful or insulting Rafael will attack them like a true Beast.
One would think of him as a hateful individual towards most other races, but even then Rafael isn't someone that wishes death upon anyone believing that anyone has the possibility to change and become something better. He is a selfless individual that will place himself in harms way in order to protect others that he cares for or even someone he believes to be innocent. He even finds sorrow in the fact that he enjoys eating other animals yet accepts that he has to in order to survive and that it's the natural order of things and despite his best efforts can't change that.

Fighting Style: Rafael fights mainly or rather exclusively in close combat as he actually has basically no method of fighting at a distance. This makes him especially weak against races that excel at distance combat or at least have the potential too. In the situation that Rafael does face off against a ranged combatant his solution to the problem normally is to close in on them as swiftly as possible and eliminate their method of ranged combat normally starting by breaking the limbs that enable them to do so or even break the weapon.
Moving into the area of combat that Rafael actually excels at being close combat he employs an actual martial art that he learned while human that remained even after becoming a Beast. The martial art is known as Muay Boran the ancient predecessor of Muay Thai. Rafael was taught the martial art in order to protect himself from those that would seek to do him harm however now in close combat against those that would do him harm or individuals that he actually cares for this martial art fulfills it's original goal as nothing more than a method to kill someone else.
Rafael like many others that utilize this martial art uses incredibly powerful yet swift short distance strikes with his knees and elbows. However, he also tends to attack the lower body of an opponent not only with his knees, but with his legs as well almost never executing a high or even mid level kick instead almost exclusively attacking the shins and ankles of his opponents. Rafael tends to also attack the ribs and shoulder joints of his opponents with his hands instead of going for the face of his opponent.
Rafael tends not to utilize his Yaseishin unlike most other Beasts who find that they hold greater offensive power in their ability Rafael holds off throughout combat. Normally sustaining as many injuries as he believes he can handle at a single time throughout combat Rafael will then release his Yaseishin healing the majority if not all of his wounds completely returning him to his optimum power output while his opponent has potentially already given it everything they've got and can't continue to fight him off while he is even more of a threat during his Yaseishin.
Yaseishin Name: Rejuvenating Essence
Yaseishin Appearance: Rafael's Yaseishin takes on a very obvious change that any individual will be able to observe once it's activated as his eyes will suddenly turn a bright violet color. However, that is only what is visible on the surface when the actual major change takes place beneath his flesh. From the moment of activation Rafael's blood changes from the normal sanguine color to a bioluminescent violet color. His tongue along with the rest of his flesh glows a more Tyrian purple compared to the royal purple of his eyes.
Yaseishin Overall Ability: Rejuvenating Essence is a Yaseishin unlike the typical that only seeks to heighten the offensive abilities of the Beast. Rafael has always been a gentle soul that knew suffering more so than love or compassion. The events throughout his life as a human and perhaps even his personality have led to a different type of Yaseishin that enables Rafael not greater strength, but the ability to withstand further torment and even aid others in experiencing the same type of divine punishment.
How this manifests itself is rather simple as Rafael's Yaseishin remains physical like any other by sending the majority of his body's properties that relate to health into a type of "Overdrive" mode. This enables Rafael to possibly enhance nearly any aspect of his body whether it be basic healing becoming accelerated healing or even diminishing the time it would take for an organ to achieve it's purpose. This Yaseishin is without a doubt something not to be taken for granted.
Yaseishin Techniques:
Invigorating Stimulation: The primary ability of Rejuvenating Essence is this technique as it is always present from the moment of release making it passive with Rafael actually having no control over whether or not it's active. This technique sends Rafael's blood cells and his tissue into a state of hyperactive acceleration enabling injuries to be healed at a much faster rate than normal. Shallow Cuts, Bruises, Abrasions, and 1st degree burns all are healed almost instantly. More serious injuries such as Lacerations, 2nd degree burns, tendon damage, flesh equivalent to the size of a calf are completely healed by the next post of the thread. Normally potentially lethal wounds such as deep Lacerations, 3rd degree burns, flesh equivalent to the size of an entire arm, and major organ damage are healed after 3 posts. (Can't heal the brain or heart)
This technique also causes any of Rafael's missing or damaged hair to regrow or fall out and be replaced instantly. This technique can be used on other individuals so long as Rafael administers his blood directly onto an injured area. However, the healing requires an additional post to get the same results. This technique now possesses the potency to heal any of Rafael's minor organs within 2 posts. Rafael's veins and muscles are constantly being regenerated along with the rest of his body. Rafael can accelerate the healing process even further by spending 100 reiatsu per post to reduce a specific healing process meaning each thing that he accelerates costs him reiatsu.
Rafael though does go through a dreadful experience should this technique actually work. To put it bluntly when this technique accelerates his healing Rafael feels the wounds that are currently being healed more so than when they were even inflicted upon him. This means that burns feel as if his flesh was still on fire, cuts feel as if the instrument that inflicted the wound was being dragged along the wound. The sensations always correspond to the wound being healed meaning even when his hair is re-growing it feels to him as if they're being pulled out. This causes an even greater sense of pain that could potentially overwhelm Rafael leaving him mentally exhausted.
System Purge: This technique takes a much more specific purpose as Rafael is able to send his Liver into a state of hyperactivity for a brief period of time. He isn't able to maintain the hyperactivity yet while it's active his liver is able to sort through his blood multiple times faster than normal essentially purging it of any harmful or unnatural chemicals including poisons. This only lasts for a single post, but any chemicals, diseases, infections or poisons in Rafael's system is purged by his liver. This technique isn't able to purge anything that has a Class of 3 or higher or poison items that are B or higher. Costs 75 reiatsu. As with the rest of his abilities this one has grown more powerful as well. Rafael's liver now possesses the ability to purge from his system reiatsu that doesn't originate from him. Meaning that if someone has effected him in anyway by putting their reiatsu inside of him this technique can purge it. This can only work against Class 4 or lower. Costs 150 reiatsu. If something has an Offensive Stat that is 2x superior to Rafael's Offensive Stat than it can't be purged from him.
Tenacious Ossein: Perhaps the most combat oriented technique in Rafael's arsenal while still remaining defensive in purpose. This technique sends the parathyroid glands into a intense state of work creating an abundance of calcium into Rafael that is then absorbed throughout his bones immediately resulting in his bones durability increasing to the point that the durability is determined by his Offensive Stat. This effectively makes his bones points in his body that have the highest level of durability making them useful tools against the many weapons of the other races. As Rafael has grown in power his body has developed as well now resulting in the above property of this technique to become passive. Meaning that from the moment of release until the end his bones and cartilage have durability equal to his Offensive Stat.
At this point Rejuvenating Essence has grown more potent enabling this technique to evolve further and aid Rafael in a manner that would have been impossible until now. While Rafael's bones and cartilage may passively now possess durability equal to his Offensive Strength that doesn't mean that these sections of his body can't still be damaged or destroyed. That's what the purpose of this new potency serves to prevent from causing him defeat. By flowing a large concentrated amount of calcium into his bones Rafael can heal any damage done to them. The severity of the damage makes healing the section more difficult. Fractures can be healed almost immediately and cost 100 reiatsu. Broken bones or cartilage take a full post to heal and cost 150 reiatsu.
This is where the technique is pushed to its upper limitations as its possible to completely regenerate bone and cartilage. Small bones such as the fingers can be regenerated in a single post and cost 50 reiatsu. A slightly larger bone such as a rib can be regenerated in two full posts and costs 150 reiatsu. An entire arm can be regenerated but doing so takes 3 full posts, 300 reiatsu and is quite tiring for Rafael to accomplish. Of course if Rafael so chooses he can accelerate these time frames to instantly regenerate his bones yet doing so causes 2x the reiatsu cost, results in intense pain and stress to the rest of his body and the bones that are regenerated possess only half the durability that they normally would and take a full 3 posts to acquire full durability.

Father: Rafael remembers brief images of his father yet more than anything remembers the beatings and insults that he faced on a daily basis from the man. While Rafael doesn't remember completely his life as a human it's from these memories of his father that Rafael has grown to mistrust and hate humans and all individuals that look the same as them.
History:
{Human Life}Born the child of individuals that in all truth and by all stretches of the imagination should have never been allowed to possess him Rafael's suffering began from the moment of his birth. His father had been living a life claimed by sorrowfully hate as he felt that his destiny had been taken away from him. His father had been scouted throughout his college career for a position in professional football. Unfortunately that was not the life that he had acquired as his body suffered a fate he felt was worse than death.
After a game that his team had been able to win Rafael's father went along with his friends to a series of establishments for the night. Eventually during that evening they came upon a couple in a bar. Rafael's father consumed by his own perception of value took a liking to the female. Grabbing a hold of her he kissed her and proceeded to grab a hold of her body while she tried to fight him off.
The female eventually was able to get away and began to scream and while Rafael's father simply laughed answering only with a "Your Welcome". That though was what led to the change in his life style and his development as an abusive individual. The boyfriend of the female happened to see the exchange between Rafael's father and his own girlfriend and heard the reply from Rafael's father. It all changed when the man took a stool and slammed the wooden piece of furniture into the back of Rafael's father's knees causing him to drop to his knees only to then be attacked across his head knocking him unconscious.
He would awake in a hospital the next morning to find that his right ankle had been broken and both of his knees fractured while with a serious concussion. His future as a professional in the American sport was over and along with it all of the happiness that he felt within his heart. Eventually over the years he found a steady job and while he still was an angry individual he found a wife that claimed to love him because she could still see the good inside of his soul.
The two of them were together for a few years and then Rafael was born as their first and only child. Rafael would never know his mother as he had claimed her life in order to come into the world or at least that's how his father had always described it. Only keeping him due to a promise to his former wife Rafael's father may have raised him since birth, but not once did he ever hold love for his own son.
Rafael grew up under the harsh rule of his father constantly reminding him of how he killed his mother while never showing him any sort of compassion beyond cooking enough food for him to survive. Rafael suffered constant beatings from his father who took out on him the anger from his own suffering. While a child Rafael was constantly afraid of his father and couldn't defend himself at all eventually after years it turned into hate for the man.
Shortly after becoming a teenager Rafael while attending school began to get picked on by a group of bullies his own age. After only a brief time a teacher confronted Rafael after witnessing the bullying and all of the bruises on his body from not only the bullies, but also his father. Rafael was convinced that he meant nothing and that he was worth nothing that he lived for no reason and because of that he was ready to give up on life and to simply end his suffering. However, the teacher that had confronted him aided him in a way that no one else ever had in his life.
Rafael had been told that if he simply gave up he was going to allow the bullies and his father to be successful to e correct about him when he could prove them all wrong. It was at this point that Rafael's life changed being taught various martial arts by his teacher in order to build his confidence and protect himself. Rafael continued to be bullied and beaten by his father for the next two years, but during that time his body developed faster than anyone would have ever thought possible. In such a short time Rafael grew into the size of a full grown muscular man.
It wasn't long after his growth that Rafael's self-restraint broke from the constant abuse that he suffered from virtually everyone around him. It began one night when his father started to take out his frustrations about his life on Rafael like normally when Rafael couldn't handle it anymore. He had dealt with so much pain throughout his entire life knowing pain more so than even his own father and it resulted in Rafael fighting back for the first time in order to survive.
This marked a change in Rafael as he beat his drunk father relentlessly over and over until finally he found himself leaning over an unrecognizable face with blood dripping from his fists. He had done everything he could to survive and it had resulted in him beating his father to death. His body beaten and exhausted Rafael simply starred at the body that laid beneath him and felt nothing, but a sensation of safety and peace followed by doubt and worry. It wasn't enough though as he quickly fell unconscious.
Awaking the next morning to find the body of his father in front of him Rafael panicked unsure of what to do Rafael went to the only person that he had ever been able to depend on; his teacher. His mind racing from fear and confusion Rafael left without thinking and rushed to his school. Once there he managed to get inside without being noticed yet prior to being able to find his teacher the same group of bullies that had been bothering him for the last two years came upon him. The harsh treatment didn't stop and they continued to physically tease and agitate Rafael. Eventually one of them pointed out the strange red like coloration on his hands only to then start laughing claiming that Rafael cut himself along with other insults.
Rafael's mindset couldn't handle the bullying that he was suffering at the hands of the group along with all of the mental confusion caused by the previous night. At the remark of his hands Rafael looked to them and saw the blood stains covering them both. His attitude snapped like a broken twig and the quiet abused teenager let loose everything that he had been holding within him. Rafael was found minutes later surrounded by other students and school employees on his knees covered in the blood of the bullies that now lay across the ground unconscious. Many of them with broken bones bent in unnatural ways while the others had simply been beaten to the point that they could no longer stand.
Rafael had used what he learned from his teacher to unleash all of the pain and anger inside of his soul not only upon his father, but also the bullies of the school and while he was not without harm from the fight he had overcome the torment of his life. Sadly it was short lived though as soon afterwards when the school called Rafael's home one thing led to another and eventually later that day Rafael was apprehended by the police after his father's body was found in their apartment. Rafael was brought to the county jail and ready to continue his suffering within walls, but he would never allow anyone else to ever rule over him in the same manner as his father. He never got the chance to prove his newly obtained outlook on his life though as one of the mothers to the bullies arrived at the trial and shot Rafael for causing mental damage to her son. Rafael didn't survive and his life as an abused human ended without him ever being given a fair chance.

It all changed when the man took a stool and slammed the wooden piece of furniture into the back of Rafael's father's knees causing him to drop to his knees only to then be attacked across his head knocking him unconscious.
He would awake in a hospital the next morning to find that his right ankle had been broken and both of his knees fractured while with a serious concussion. His future as a professional in the American sport was over and along with it all of the happiness that he felt within his heart. Eventually over the years he found a steady job and while he still was an angry individual he found a wife that claimed to love him because she could still see the good inside of his soul.
The two of them were together for a few years and then Rafael was born as their first and only child. Rafael would never know his mother as he had claimed her life in order to come into the world or at least that's how his father had always described it. Only keeping him due to a promise to his former wife Rafael's father may have raised him since birth, but not once did he ever hold love for his own son.
Rafael grew up under the harsh rule of his father constantly reminding him of how he killed his mother while never showing him any sort of compassion beyond cooking enough food for him to survive. Rafael suffered constant beatings from his father who took out on him the anger from his own suffering. While a child Rafael was constantly afraid of his father and couldn't defend himself at all eventually after years it turned into hate for the man.
Shortly after becoming a teenager Rafael while attending school began to get picked on by a group of bullies his own age. After only a brief time a teacher confronted Rafael after witnessing the bullying and all of the bruises on his body from not only the bullies, but also his father. Rafael was convinced that he meant nothing and that he was worth nothing that he lived for no reason and because of that he was ready to give up on life and to simply end his suffering. However, the teacher that had confronted him aided him in a way that no one else ever had in his life.
Rafael had been told that if he simply gave up he was going to allow the bullies and his father to be successful to e correct about him when he could prove them all wrong. It was at this point that Rafael's life changed being taught various martial arts by his teacher in order to build his confidence and protect himself. Rafael continued to be bullied and beaten by his father for the next two years, but during that time his body developed faster than anyone would have ever thought possible. In such a short time Rafael grew into the size of a full grown muscular man.
It wasn't long after his growth that Rafael's self-restraint broke from the constant abuse that he suffered from virtually everyone around him. It began one night when his father started to take out his frustrations about his life on Rafael like normally when Rafael couldn't handle it anymore. He had dealt with so much pain throughout his entire life knowing pain more so than even his own father and it resulted in Rafael fighting back for the first time in order to survive.
This marked a change in Rafael as he beat his drunk father relentlessly over and over until finally he found himself leaning over an unrecognizable face with blood dripping from his fists. He had done everything he could to survive and it had resulted in him beating his father to death. His body beaten and exhausted Rafael simply starred at the body that laid beneath him and felt nothing, but a sensation of safety and peace followed by doubt and worry. It wasn't enough though as he quickly fell unconscious.
Awaking the next morning to find the body of his father in front of him Rafael panicked unsure of what to do Rafael went to the only person that he had ever been able to depend on; his teacher. His mind racing from fear and confusion Rafael left without thinking and rushed to his school. Once there he managed to get inside without being noticed yet prior to being able to find his teacher the same group of bullies that had been bothering him for the last two years came upon him. The harsh treatment didn't stop and they continued to physically tease and agitate Rafael. Eventually one of them pointed out the strange red like coloration on his hands only to then start laughing claiming that Rafael cut himself along with other insults.
Rafael's mindset couldn't handle the bullying that he was suffering at the hands of the group along with all of the mental confusion caused by the previous night. At the remark of his hands Rafael looked to them and saw the blood stains covering them both. His attitude snapped like a broken twig and the quiet abused teenager let loose everything that he had been holding within him. Rafael was found minutes later surrounded by other students and school employees on his knees covered in the blood of the bullies that now lay across the ground unconscious. Many of them with broken bones bent in unnatural ways while the others had simply been beaten to the point that they could no longer stand.
Rafael had used what he learned from his teacher to unleash all of the pain and anger inside of his soul not only upon his father, but also the bullies of the school and while he was not without harm from the fight he had overcome the torment of his life. Sadly it was short lived though as soon afterwards when the school called Rafael's home one thing led to another and eventually later that day Rafael was apprehended by the police after his father's body was found in their apartment. Rafael was brought to the county jail and ready to continue his suffering within walls, but he would never allow anyone else to ever rule over him in the same manner as his father. He never got the chance to prove his newly obtained outlook on his life though as one of the mothers to the bullies arrived at the trial and shot Rafael for causing mental damage to her son. Rafael didn't survive and his life as an abused human ended without him ever being given a fair chance.
{Beginnings of a Beast}It seems though that whatever God overlooks the lives of mortals didn't feel Rafael was finished in his anguish as only what felt like a few moments later Rafael awoke in a strange new place in a new body while his memories of being a human felt clouded or simply gone. He felt different awaking as a Beast not just physically, but now he had a greater hunger than he ever did even as a male nourished child. He accepted that for whatever reason he was what looked to be some sort of giant cat that could still stand on the back of it's legs. He was taller now and not in pain. He looked around and saw no one; nothing to control him or cause him pain. He was free.
Rafael hasn't been a Beast for long only the last few months he has known the life of a Beast in the wilderness of Soul Society. Constantly striving to find food and learn the world that he had awoken into after his human life was ended. He has accepted that he is different now and simply wishes to live this new life as a second chance forgetting his human life and living this new one to it's fullest. Over the course of the last few months he has found other Beasts most friendly or indifferent to him. Strangely enough that has been enough for Rafael to feel accustomed to them and accept them more than he could ever the others in his human life. What else lay ahead for the new Beast though?
