Oblivion awaits Osaka (DP, Medium)

Well it seemed that the shinigami wasn't going to give this monster the time it needed to form into its new body. She rushed forward as the bodies were all coming together and slashed out with her shikai causing the flesh to be sliced apart over and over again blood spraying over the area around the monster. At first it looked like she was successful in causing it enough damage that it wasn't going to be able to form after a few moments the wounds that she had started to inflict upon it began to heal and the bone formed together taking shape as a new monster. Although with each slash flesh was sliced apart and damage was inflicted the bone of this monster was virtually undamaged with only minor damage that was almost healed instantly was actually accomplished. If anything it showed that while the flesh of this monster was just as weak as normal the bone was more durable than anything else they'd see up to this point.

It wouldn't last long though . . that attack of this shinigami that is. After a few more moments when this monster was almost completely formed the shinigami was covered in the blood of the monster which possessed the same properties as the blood that they had encountered only a few minutes ago. The shinigami would begin to feel it the sensation of burning as her entire body began to burn from the blood covering it from the wounds that she had inflicted upon this monster. The monster starred down at the shinigami with a cold gaze and in the next instant bashed her body with its right arm sending her flying across the tunnel against the wall causing a large dent in the cement wall. The shinigami would suffer a few broken bones and internal damage.

Now that she was taken care of the monster turned its attention to the Failure that had caused so much trouble since she had arrived here. Raising its left arm it grabbed at one of the many long, massive spikes on its back made of bone and physically pulled it from its back holding it like some sort of spear. The monster would rush the Failure moving at a speed of 4800 only to appear right in front of her and thrusting out the bone spear right at the chest of the Failure.

Keira was strangely fascinated as the corpses hit the ground despite her annoyance with the situation at this point. About a dozen of them landed on top of each other, and seemed to melt and blend into each other contorting in unnatural ways as they fused. The sight of it alone was unsettling, but the sounds that accompanied the transformation was something not even the most well funded horror movies could ever hope to replicate. She almost wanted to grab her phone in order to record the spectacle in front of her. The others in the party might have had a slightly different reaction to the sight in front of them, especially the combat shinigami. 

Before it had a chance to form, she started to unleash a barrage of attacks in order to kill it before it came fully together. It was a smart plan. This thing felt like it was far more powerful that everything else that they were fighting, but something in Keira still wanted to see what all the fuss was about. She wanted to see what had caused all this commotion that distracted her from her experiments to further science. Blood and gore flung out everywhere from the shinigami's little outburst. Keira had to use one of her arms to shield herself from some of it. The shinigami finally finished after a long barrage. It seemed that there was no chance it survived. 

"Are you finished?" Keira asked sarcastically. Though it didn't seem like the creature was finished either. Angle was covered in the gore of the beast, which seemed incredibly painful. The creature reformed faster than before, which made Keira wonder why it didn't form that fast the first time, or just form before they got there. It towered over them, and didn't take kindly to Angle using it as a pin cushion. It back handed her into the wall of the tunnel causing a rather impressive looking crater in the wall. Keira was almost impressed. Then the thing turned it's ugly eyes at her. Keira met its gaze with just as cold of a stare as it gave her. 

It vanished for a moment closing he gap between them, and pulling one of its bone spikes out of its back to use as a spear. Keira's arms reacted faster then the monster's body could however. As it pulled back to scewer Keira, One of her arms was already moving to intercept. Only not to block the attack, instead it would slam into the chest of the beast knocking it backwards. Keira would have the arm pin the creature against the wall. She only needed a moment. To other arms moved behind the first and clapped together hard creating a shock wave in the direction of the pinned creature. If it was unable to break free in a second, it would no doubt take the full force head on and be forced through the wall.

[Amare Mori]

Ugh.... They had to have been getting close soon, right? "I'm getting a little tired of this tunnel." Amare admitted as they walked. "Will be nice to see natural light and all that again sometime soon." Also a shower. A shower would be great. Given the company he kept, and Amare's not-quite-an-adult-yet mind, thinking of a shower inevitably caused Amare to begin thinking of lewder topics, as his eyes scanned his comrades. This line of thinking, however, was mercifully interrupted, as the group stumbled upon a collection of bodies. "Holy Kouhai...." Amare uttered-- probably NOT the best curse to utter in the presence of Shinigami. Seriously, the shinigami probably needed to have a talk with Amare after all this was over. Asuka had influenced the poor guy's mind a bit too much. And then, of course, the corpses began to move.

Amare attempted to take up a defensive posture, to try and protect Musuhina, standing between the medic and potential danger, but Angel.... Angel had charged right into battle, her blade a magnificent display of artwork and flair. Hewing and hacking through the chunks of corpses now flying through the air as if in a dance. Amare couldn't help but stare in macabre fascination at Angel's performance. A shame it couldn't last. He saw steam hiss up from the blood that covered her, and realized it was caustic. "Lady Angel!" Amare cried out, sparing a glance at Musuhina to see how she reacted, before looking back just in time to see the monster they'd be facing form, in spite of Angel's efforts. "Watch out!" He added a moment before the creature swung at Angel. While Amare hoped that Angel might be able to avoid its swing, he was not able to rush forwards. His legs were trembling, and besides... If he moved, he'd expose Musuhina and Keira to danger.

...Not that it seemed he was any good at keeping the creature away from Keira either. One moment it was over there, the next it was in front of the scientist. Oh no...It had just driven a spear-like shaft of bone at Keira. Amare's eyes went wide. "Oh no!" But Keira had made a defense against its attack, to Amare's relief, and not only defended, but countered as well. Amare could feel the impact of their individual blows, and the speed. It frustrated him.

Amare tried to consider his own next move. He wasn't stupid. ....Well... Okay, that might be generous. But while Amare was delusional and misguided, there were some sparks of common sense behind all of it that had kept him alive thus far. He realized at a glance this foe was out of their league. What the heck were they supposed to do here though? What!? What?! It had procured that bone spear from its own body, so it could presumably create more. Amare glanced disparagingly at his sword. Caliburn. The legendary sword of King Arthur. It's not enough. I can't get close. Amare had no problem with throwing himself into harms way of course. He was prepared for that. The trouble was that it wouldn't amount to anything. If he guessed right, that monster could probably project bone weapons from its body at will. Even if he rushed in, he'd probably be gored and dropped before he could even distract it.

If only I could.... If only I could hit it from here... But with what? A stone? A rock against something like that?! If only... if only his sword could commit to some kind of long range attack. Like he saw in anime and TV. Sword beams yo. That would have been perfect. Amare didn't know what to do, but the longer he waited, the longer Angel was going to go without help. The longer this thing had to turn its attention on Musuhina and himself. Amare would not let anyone else get hurt.

The Fullbringer didn't really know what he was doing. If asked about this moment after the fact, he would have admitted he didn't really have much of a memory of the next few seconds. As if by instinct alone, his legs trudged forwards, slowly bounding into a run. Keeping himself between Musuhina and the monster, so that any attack to the medic had to go through him first and probably would. His blade unconsciously raising. Amare felt a well of power building up inside of him, and he swung at air, still about ten feet away from the monster. While it would have been nice to say he did this in tandem with Keira's attack, the simple fact was he wasn't fast enough for that, so his blow would launch a moment after Keira's counterattack. And for the briefest of split seconds it would seem like Amare hadn't done anything.

And then in that next instant, as the tip of his sword neared and passed by the ground, like a cresting wave from the ocean, an indistinct burst of energy roared up from the ground, to engulf the creature. It was a modest blast by the standards of things that Keira and Angel and Musuhina had no doubt seen, but it was an attack nonetheless, and if it struck the monster, it would be as if the wave were comprised of hundreds of swords, slashing through the creature and slicing and tearing it apart. The best part, was that even if blood went flying, it would be blown away from everyone by the force of Amare's attack. It wasn't a very strong attack, certainly. But striking with a hundred swords, even if those swords were swung by ordinary men, was still going to do some serious lacerations to anything unprepared. If nothing else, it might help Keira's move work, or buy some time for her to find a new opening if the monster managed to repel her initial strikes.

[Musuhina Kesshino]

Musuhina had kept a very reserved position when going through the tunnel as her and the rest of the makeshift group traveled through Osaka's tunnel system. Angel and Amare made confetti out of anything that tried to hit them from the front while Keira had taken to being the group's rear guard by warding off attacks form the back and keeping the massing creatures from where they entered from coming through. And there was her, acting as the usual medic and offering little to no combat help apart from throwing herself in danger. Not really the most effective use of her role now that she thought about it, but in some cases it had to be done.

But as they made there way through, when it seemed things were finally calming down, they noticed several bodies falling on the ground, intentionally breaking themselves apart with the fall to come together as this odd amalgamation of flesh and bone. Not to mention the stench was something beyond foul, though as Musuhina thought back on the others things she and the others faced tonight, it was just more of the same. She had a somewhat morbid curiosity of how this monster worked. It was something pretty akin to how she regenerated. Actually it seemed like it was pretty much the same thing, only it was able to do it better since it wasn't alive.

And as if that wasn't bad enough, it was durable too. After watching Angel blitz its creation process, she ended up not only getting burned, but hit so hard that she ended up colliding with a wall. It looked really bad, but nothing that Musuhina couldn't patch up with enough time. From there the monster formed itself completely while fixing the heavy amount of wounds Angel had given it while Amare stood in front of her before looking back at her. She gave him a pretty concerned look at the crazy situation they'd been given while trying to fix up a plan of attack in her head, because if she or anyone-else couldn't think of something fast, they were gonna die, no question.

She gathered all of the info in her head that she'd taken in and started thinking. It was a fast and durable monster that could counter even harder if you hit it. To make matters worse, it'd just heal itself if it suffered any kind of damage you could give it in the first place. Taking its legs or arms out would be a good place to start, but the brain or heart would be the best places to hit it since Musuhina had a similar setup with how her regeneration worked. And then an even better idea clicked into her head: She could literally rip it into pieces.

As Amare and Keira started up their counterattack, Musuhina would use her Flash Step to appear dashing just beside the monster as Amare's attack started up with a menacing red aura wrapped around her right hand. With it being fixed on Keira and Amare's attacks, Mushina's red aura would allow her hand to run through the monster's neck, running through it's seemingly tough body like butter, exploiting the wounds the other bodies suffered to make it in the first place, effectively decapitating it. However this attack wouldn't come without a price. While going through its neck, her hand would be covered in its acidic blood, burning her badly after completing the Flash Step, though as the acid dissipated, it was only a matter of letting her body fix itself. And even then, she had another hand she could use. No matter the case, this creature might've appeared tough, but it was't about to last very long against the four opponents it was dealing with.

Shoving the massive creature away from her the Failure Keira overpowered the might of the monster not simply because she could match it's physical might, but because the speed that her reiatsu hand moved at took the monster off guard it seemed. It had been motioning it's attack forward when the hand had pushed it away slamming it into the wall with enough force that the wall itself was smashed inwards causing a much larger crater than the one that had been caused by Angel. The tunnel walls were dense and thick making it impossible even for Keira's hands to smash the creature through in a single smack. It would be pressed against the wall by the hand yet the bone weapon that it held in it's hand was still being held as it gazed at her knowing that she was the only real threat to it.

The shockwave that was crafted by the two hand clapping together towards it smashed it even further against the wall doubling the size of the crater and causing wide spread cracks across the wall from the crater. The wall wouldn't be able to sustain much more damage, but Keira wouldn't have any further time to act for this was the moment that she was going to die. The creature was going to toss the bone spear that it had pulled from it's back right at her with enough force that she wouldn't be able to stop it with a single hand alone. The human though the one that had been facing down the standard infected perhaps the best out of the group with the exception of the Failure released his Fullbring completely something that he hadn't displayed despite everything else to this point. It seemed like he had been saving it or perhaps this was the awakening in a situation of dire need where he felt the pressure of this battle.

It didn't matter as the wave of reiatsu that he propelled from his sword soared across the tunnel and just as the creature was ready to toss the spear at the Failure it was hit by the wave. It's body burst with blood being sent splattering across the tunnel burning the stone waves as it's body was carved by what seemed like hundreds of invisible swords. If any of them could actually see the way this creature's body was taking the attack it would be similar to what had happened when Angel had gone all out and slashed at it with everything she had. One thing remained the same though both from the first attack and now the third . . . . this creature's bones didn't receive so much as a scratch. Blood descending on everything Angel would feel the additional stings while Amare would be exhausted now and more than likely feel what was comparable to acid rain. In fact that's basically what was happening now in the tunnel because of the Fullbringer it was raining acid.

The creature was already fast at work the heavy wounds that had been caused to all of the exposed flesh of it's body were already rapidly vanishing when suddenly the medic the shinigami that had kept them going this far with virtually no problem perhaps the MVP of this entire group rushed in at the creature something that she hadn't done from the very start. Her hand glowed the dark red aura of anti-healing and in a single thrust of her delicate hand it was embedded into the throat of the creature. Suddenly all of the wounds that had been healing ceased and stayed the way that they were. Then after a moment they began to revert back to how they had been looking when Amare had first inflicted them blood rushing off the creature burning the floor of the tunnel. Its blood was like a ever growing puddle as more was formed yet continued to descend seeping out from under it. If Keira and Amare didn't move their feet would be burned within moments.

The creature began to howl and scream filling the tunnel with enough noise that everyone would feel as if nailed were being shoved into their ears. This thing whatever it was could actually feel pain and it was now. Not because of the wounds that Amare had inflicted upon it. Not alone at least. The wounds that Angel had inflicted upon it were manifesting once again causing all of the flesh to appear as if it were sliced into ribbons of meat. After a moment or two passed the flesh seemed to simply turn into small pieces that broke away from itself until it was reduced into blood that furthered the pool that Musu was now burning in as she stood. While she could heal her feet wouldn't be able to keep up with the constant burning overloading her healing on her feet alone.

Her hand and arm would suffer the same fate as her body constantly kept up with the damage that the acidic blood was causing to her as it burned away skin, flesh and would being to even dissolve her bone until additional flesh began to grow over it. Red lines spread across the white bones of the creature and it looked like this was going to be it. Keira had been the one that the creature had been expecting to be the biggest or perhaps the only problem yet the weakest of the group that had been causing so much trouble was keeping it at bay by herself. She was even killing it! They had won! Then though the spear that the creature was holding was thrust upwards penetrating through the chest of Musu in a instant stabbing up from her stomach and through her left lung the out her back.

The wound was grave like someone shoving their entire arm through Musu's chest cavity a wound that even someone with her healing capabilities couldn't shrug off. Her internal organs were either damaged or completely ruined now along with the damage to the surrounding area and her ribs that had been bashed by the spear causing fractures across many of them. In that single moment Musu had sustained perhaps more real damage than even Angel who still stuck to the wall of the tunnel with more than a few fractures throughout her body. It had been worth it though as the flesh of the creature began to turn black and red lines extended across it's bones. The eye sockets shined a bright red for a few moments as it continued to scream in pain only for it to go quiet and victory to be obtained.

Keira was rather surprised that the monster was able to withstand the force of her hand's attack. She scowled trying to think of a way to really do some damage to this thing. She kept track of her allies actions. The fullbringer had seemed to managed to tap into some power and fired a laser from his sword hitting the creature as well. Keira's eyes widened as the thing pulled back its arm to throw the bone spear. She expected the creature to use it to try to free itself, but of course it seemed that it could always get more. Even she was not confident if she could stop it. She had her hand move closer to the the one to her right. Once she was close enough, she used sonido to avoid the deadly spear. It crashed some distance behind her. 

She glared at it then looked around for the medic. She first looked to the other shinigami thinking that the medic shinigami would tend to her wounds, but surprisingly no. Instead, the medic went behind the back of the beast with her hand glowing red. She thrust her hand into the neck of the beast and seemed to decapitate it. Keira watched as the thing started to spontaneously burst into blood and wounds. Keira still did not relax. she could feel that something bad was going to happen, but couldn't figure out what till it was too late. Before the thing fully died, it managed to skewer the medic with a bone spear like a hunk of beef.

Keira rose up on her arm and rushed over to the wounded medic. She was no medic herself, but she was well versed in anatomy. She could tell that there was massive organ damage, as well as bone structure damage. All that didn't even include the damage that the acid blood was causing. She looked over to Angle scowling with a growl. "Hey get up! You're friend is badly wounded." She looked back to Musushina concerned. It wasn't like her to be concerned about anyone's well being but her own, but here she was. There was nothing that she could do. SHe would need to go back to where ever they came from in order to get treated properly. 

[Angel]

As Angel dashed in, a battle cry, slashing, cutting, dicing, shredding, and ultimately failing against this demon, she looked at it face to face as it looked angered at her, slamming her in the chest with it’s superpowered strength. The result...was that Angel’s chest cavity popped open as she skin went shredding, and she was pounded into the wall, an instant gasp as blood went flying, and while at it, acid burnt her, she did all she could do. However, miracles happen every now and again. In this stress filled period, full of fighting and horror about them, the fullbringer, the knight of Japan, Amare had released the true power of his weapon?! She looked from the human sized indent in the wall, and then immediately she tried to move. However, try as she might, the damage dealt to her was too great. She found it hard to breath, and she couldn’t do anything to help them further.

She quickly fell into the meaning of despair, thinking surely that the end was coming. The Failure was strong, but she could tell that a creature that regenerated to that magnitude was beyond their capabilities. Amare was but a mere human, and there was only so much he could do, even with his own power being released. However, she never even considered the medic Musuhina, the one that she was babying, basically saying, “stick close to us and do no fighting.” It was all the more surprising when it was her, the medic that was their victory. The creature quickly fell apart, it’s regeneration being reversed at a rapid pace, and in that same moment, she could sense the foul energy of this beast. Again, she desperately tried to move, but she lacked the power!

She closed her eyes, and in that moment, she heard not a mocking gesture, but a voice call out to her in a stern, strong, and yet seductively entrancing voice. ‘Let me give it to you.’ For the first time, she didn’t question or deny the chance for power. The fact of the matter was, there was no need to resist such a thing. All she needed was...power. As Angel closed her eyes, the bandages became undone entirely, and she fell facedown to the floor. The blood quickly pooled, smoking, sizzling, as were the very robes on her back. Her spiritual energy was near gone, the signature then suddenly depleted, and she lay still. That was until that energy resonated, suddenly began to grow on itself, in fact, to the point where that acid should stop it’s endless assault on her body.

Her right hand lifted first, then the left, holding the Shikai tight, and she rose to her feet, that gaping fleshwound evident on her. She clenched her right fist, experimentally, staring at herself in detail, and she then looked to the people around her. In this moment, she ignored the pain, the internal damage, and slowly dragged her way to Amare of all people. Her blade dragged lazily on the floor, blood continuing to drip from the exposed ribs, her coal black eyes looking stronger than ever before. “Medic…” She called out in a seriously sinister tone, balancing her weight on the blade, leaning on it, the eye twisting on her blade, travelling, and looking straight at Amare himself. Oh Daraku no Tenshi was hungry, hungry to take what was most precious from all.

Once that layer of skin, muscle, ligament, and joints were repaired, she’d stand straight, looking at the man and would proceed to consider something, something dark, and the eye showed it, veins tensing, as if in anticipation. There was a change in Angel, as at this moment, she looked oh so darkly at her apparent ally. One could say that it looked to be a form of disgust, but in reality, it was a different kind of lust, one that few would be able to understand. She wanted to kill him, gut him like a fish using her cursed blade, and yet, she refrained herself. That comment of Kouhai, he knew what Kouhai was, how amusing. “I suppose we aren’t done yet here are we? Yes, I believe there is the source to deal with.” She smiled then, but it just didn’t look natural or right. However, what? Her sword was lifted, and she walked with it closely, silently, to the source. Angel would complete her mission first, and then, then she would see.

[Musuhina Kesshino]

Musuhina's use of the red aura was very inexperienced. In fact, this was the first time she'd ever bothered using it. It had an unexpected way it displayed its effect to her. She figured that it only worked on areas that she touched, however to her pleasant surprise underneath the burning pain that a hand covered in acid could provide, all of the monster's wounds opened at once, with Musuhina nearly being deafened by how loud its scream was. But nevertheless, it was dead, even if it took one of her hands and both of her feet being shewed away by its blood to do it.

Then a sudden pain came over her as one of its spear ripped through the right side of her chest, easily piercing a good chunk of her right lung. She staggered back and leaned against a wall, away of the acid eating away at her feet as they and her hand slowly repaired themselves. "Oh you've gotta be shitting me right now." she said as her left hand gripped the bone spear, as she noticed Keira rushing to her and calling out to Angel to help her. "Just relax, she needs to stay still or her wounds will get worse. Besides, I can handle this on my own, its just a bit trickier than normal."

As her hands and feet were finally patched up she slowly began working the spear out of her, wincing in pain every few seconds, but spurring herself on that it wouldn't get any better if it was just left there. Eventually, she decided to grit her teeth and yank out what was let of it, growling in pain as the spear dropped to the floor "Fuck that hurts!". But she didn't have much time, she quickly used one of her hands to enter the slowly regenerating wound, using her healing aura to repair her damaged lung before the wound itself closed. Her regeneration was good and it could get better, but it could never repair a serious organ like her heart or lungs.

"Come on. Come on. Come on." she kept muttering to herself as her lung closed back up completely. Once it did, she pulled her hand out and let her body fix itself as it normally would. She stood in front of Keira to act as a visual barrier to Amare as she ripped the top layer of her Shihakusho off with ease due to the damage it took from the acid blood rain she was exposed to, wrapping it around her chest to cover the area that would've been exposed otherwise. Thankfully the white layer underneath was pretty much undamaged. 

"If this mission doesn't kill me then the guys in charge of the uniforms will by the end of this." she said sarcastically before looking over to Angel, noticing that that she was up and moving, saying that the source had to be dealt with. She walked over to her and placed her hand on her shoulder before saying "Oh no you don't, not with a wound that like." before placing her hand over it and starting the healing process. She looked over to Keira and Amare, giving them a nod "Don't worry, we'll catch up, just turn the source to ash if you find it before we get there, I think we've all had enough of the chaos that thing's stirred up tonight.".

[Amare Mori]

"LADY MUSUHINA!" Amare had let out a cry of shock as Musuhina had dove in, following his attack.... however the hell he'd done it. Damnit.... Amare was.... tired. He was really tired... Not physically-- well. Yes physically too. He had afterall, been fighting consistently for what felt like hours, with very limited chances to break in between. His sword arm felt heavy, and his muscles ached. But he could still move. He wasn't physically drained. This was something different. He felt.... he supposed the best word would be to say he felt spiritually drained. Even so, his muscles still worked! He drove forward in an attempt to assist Musuhina. He saw a red glow about her hands... and then the beast simply dissolved. "Nani!?" Amare exclaimed in shock. And then his blood went cold as he saw a bone spear impale Musuhina.

"SHIT!" He pressed forward to Musuhina's side, ignoring the caustic rain falling upon them, as well as the acid eating at his lower body. He used Caliburn to briefly brace himself, as he nearly fell over from the burning pain, but kept himself upright. Today had been an arduous day. Not a bad day though-- at least not yet. So long as they all made it through, it was not a bad day. "Are you alright!? I'm so sorry!" Amare exclaimed, in a panicked tone, mentally chastising and berating himself for not getting there sooner. A real knight would have gotten in there and taken that hit for Musuhina, not left her to endure a blow like that herself. He didn't miss Angel either, slowly approaching. He completely missed Angel's tone, and paused a moment, hesitating between checking on Musuhina and checking on Angel. Fortunately, Angel seemed to be approaching him, so he tried checking her for injuries in the dim lighting of the tunnel. "Angel, are you okay? It looked like you also took a pretty heavy hit."

She took a heavy hit? What a joke you are, Amare. The two girls went right in there and attacked that thing, while you cowered in the back. How dare you call yourself a knight. This is so uncool. Amare bit his lip, frustrated with his own powerlessness. He looked at Caliburn. He was certain that the samurai-- the knights of Japan, would have committed Seppuku for shame such as this. But Angel and Musuhina mentioned destroying the source. Angel had wanted to go on ahead, but it seemed Musuhina was going to hold her back, while she healed Angel. Amare lifted Caliburn up in a salute. "As you command milady. I will atone for failing to protect the both of you, by carrying out this request." He stated, before turning, with a regretful look back at the two, and beginning to press on into the tunnel. What lay beyond? He didn't know. He wasn't sure if he was prepared. But cursed Las Noches take him, he'd fulfill his oath, or he'd bloody well die trying!

In the aftermath of the creature that had been unleashed against them the party that had stood against so many infected throughout the day was struggling just to stand and keep going until they could put an end to the source of whatever was infecting everything alive in Osaka. Angel had suffered many broken bones and flesh damage that although she was pushing through thanks in part to her spiritual body she wouldn't last much longer and fighting against virtually anything was out of the question at the moment. Amare was perhaps the least harmed out of them all with the exception of Keira who had stayed away from the creature the most. Amare suffered many burns from the acidic blood, but aside from that hadn't suffered any real damage while dealing out a grave amount against the creature.

As the group got together Musu despite being without any argument the most injured rushed to heal herself from the damage that the creature had inflicted upon her. Although she was closest to death as she healed her body and within roughly a minute she was back into stable condition. Although no one else could have been able to survive the injuries that had been inflicted upon her the mere fact that she was able to heal herself back into stable condition wouldn't be the thing to grab a hold of everyone's attention including Musu herself. As she pulled out the bone spear that had been impaled through her chest and it fell to the ground it would shatter changing into what looked to be a blade. There it lay a sword made of bone at Musu's side.

It was up to the others what was going to happen from this point on, but that blade of bone that lay next to Musu would more than like draw the attention of everyone else in the group. The giant skeleton of the creature that attacked them all still stood the bone preserved despite everything else that had made it up was now gone turned into the black blood. The bone spear that had turned into a sword had only done so after Musu had touched it. Perhaps if the others were to touch a part of the creature's remains something else would happen. Whether they did or not though the source of all this was sitting in the train only a hundred feet away. Drenched in sweat panting heavily sat a young female with pitch black hair and now running make up. It was obvious that she was exhausted from everything yet it seemed she was still concentrating heavily on what could only be the control of all of this infection.

Amare noticed the bone spear transform into a sword as Musuhina removed it. "What's that!?" Amare exclaimed in alarm, bracing as if expecting the creature to perform one last-ditch attack from beyond the grave. After a moment however, Amare determined that no attack was forthcoming. As was likely expected by the thread GM, Amare approached the bone creature, and, placing one hand on its ribs, he gave it a derogatory, and frustrated push, to try and knock it over-- angered at the injuries it had inflicted on the group, as well as his uselessness against it. Perhaps, as was suggested earlier, those ribs might have transformed. Or not. Regardless, Amare was pushing onwards into the gloomy tunnel as he had vowed to Angel and Musuhina that he would. His progress was slow, but he worked his way down the tunnel, until he saw the train, and the young woman inside of it. Oh no... Amare, filled with a sudden burst of adrenaline, surged into an awkward and loping jog, as he approached her quickly. "Miss!? Are you alright!? It's dangerous down here!" He exclaimed, as he tried to enter the train and check her.

The idea that the woman was behind everything today hadn't even crossed Amare's mind. Even if it had, it... really wouldn't have changed anything. Amare was in love with the idea of being a chivalric knight. To assume the worst of any woman would just be plain uncool. And even if she was evil... that was still no excuse! To allow no harm to come to any woman he could protect! That was Amare's philosophy. It was why he was still mentally chastising himself over Angel and Musuhina being injured. If anything it was galvanizing his desire not to allow it to happen. Amare reached over to try and wipe away some of the smeared makeup and sweat. "What happened? Are there any others down here? Are you trapped? Can you walk?" He continued to press, using a gentle tone, and trying to space his questions evenly, despite his concern. He was holding Caliburn in a reversed grip, so he would not accidentally threaten the woman with it.

As the medic started to recover, Keira's expression and demeanor returned to its cold calculating norm. She straightened and her eyes would glance at the spear. She sensed that something was odd about it. Once it was out of the medic's body, it would transform itself from a spear to a sword. It was still made of the same bone material, but for it to change even with the death of the creature; that was concerning. She pondered on the possibilities. Could the bones be manipulated by the strongest will that is making physical contact with it? Or was it just the residual reiatsu from the monster dissipating and the bone returning to its natural form? It was impossible to say now.



The crash of the body interrupted her thoughts and she glared at the monkey for disrupting her train of thought. Her patience was growing thin with him. She stood up and walked over to the body of the beast they fought. She wanted to take some sample with her using her reiatsu arms to tear a femur off. Maybe she can gather some reiatsu make up that could provide some protection for her. Her mind started racing again. She wondered if she should take the whole thing with her. She shook her head. It would be too bothersome to carry, and there wasn't any guarantee that it would survive the journey back to the asylum. This sample would have to do.



Another sound grabbed her attention. One that told her that they were not alone. It seemed that Amare picked up on it as well. They headed to the train seeing a dark haired girl in the train. Keira's keen energy sensory abilities told her that she was the source of this calamity. Keira used her arms to rip open the side of the train car and used another arm to immediately grab the girl before she could try to escape. The arm held her tightly. Not enough to crush her, or cause any real damage, but enough to show that they could easily crush her if she tried anything. "This isn't some damn damsel in distress you fool!" Keira snapped at Amare "She is the cause of all this madness. I swear, a woman is going to be the death of you."

Keira turned her piercing pink eyes at the woman. "Now your going to tell me why, and how you did all this, and I won't crush you into a fine paste and use you in my next genetic experiment!" This was no idle threat. Though Keira normally did not harm people unless she had to, what this person could have done far worse damage than she did, and who knew how bad it could have gotten if they didn't intervene when they did. She couldn't care less about the people of the world, but she valued herself and her experiments and laboratory which would have been in danger if these things ever managed to spread farther out. She squeezed the woman with gradual pressure until she decided to talk. She was going to get an answer one way or another. 

[Musuhina Kesshino]

As Musuhina worked on patching Angel up, she could hear something behind her shift and crunch, almost as if it was changing. After taking a brief look behind her, she found out that the spear that she'd pulled out of herself had changed into a sword! Giving off a puzzled expression with a hint of paranoia and concern, she looked at it for a moment while absentmindedly moving her hands vaguely around Angel's wounded chest. After a few seconds she figured that it wasn't hostile, at least not yet if it could be. So she decided to simply pick it up and fit it securely next to Shinku Ko, who was resting calmly in his scabbard. Musuhina would continue to be cautious about this new sword of hers for the time being, always paranoid that it could attack her until this whole incident was over.

However, she decided to turn her attention back to Angel in order to put the finishing touches on her wounds. As the last of them managed to seal up, she gave her a quick pat on the shoulder before saying "There, all fixed up and good as new.". Though another thing had suddenly come across her mind soon after. After taking a quick look down, she gained a sour look on her face after realizing what had happened. In the aftermath of having her feet constantly chewed at by all of the acid on the mission, she'd realized that she now had to walk around in an underground subway tunnel barefoot. To say she was annoyed and ready to bring this night to a close would be an understatement.

But barefoot or not, she and Angel still had a job to do. Further off into the tunnel she could make out a few things that Keira and Amare were saying. From the sound of things, it seemed like they'd managed to find the source, bringing an excited smirk across her face as she waited for Angel to walk ahead of her. It was strange, really. It almost seemed like a miracle they'd managed to pull things together as well as they did, especially when going up against an organized force like what they'd gone through. She wasn't complaining about the situation though, she was just pleasantly surprised. And as cheesy as it sounded in her head, she could make out a light at the end of the tunnel.

Amare approached the skeleton of the creature that had been such a threat to them all yet seemed to die from the member of the group that no one had thought would be a threat. As he touched the rib of the creature the bone would shatter apart leaving behind a sword in Amare's grasp made from the bone that looked like the same style as his Fullbring. As Keira moved her hands towards the skeleton the bone reacted in a different way. It still shattered apart and changed form, but instead of a sword the bone changed into what appeared as gauntlets. They were thick and heavy yet obviously formed from the same bone as the creature and the size of them even at a glance was perfect for the forearms of Keira.

When Amare got to the female sitting in the train car and spoke asking if she was alright she lifted her head slightly looking at him with her tired eyes as she panted heavily. She was obviously exhausted, drenched in sweat and breathing so rapidly that if it was any worse Amare might fear she was in danger. She thought for a moment that perhaps this was her last chance her last attempt had been her trump card, but if she could touch this guy maybe she still had a chance. However, just as she tried to stand up she felt her body fight back against the attempt and the sight of the Failure entering into the train. This meant that she had no chance at all. The Failure was the strongest one in the group and now that she was here there was nothing she could do to defeat her.

The girl looked at the Failure after she asked her question wanting to know how she had done what she had to Osaka. The Failure though would be able to tell that this girl wasn't human at all. She was in fact a Mod Soul. Which meant that the girl Amare had seen was really just a gigai. She sneered at the Failure as her eyes gave the message that she wasn't afraid. "I was hoping to get enough Shinigami here to make a difference, but you had to come in here." She sighed for a moment looking down at the bottom of the train as she made a decision. In the moment that followed suddenly the body of this Mod Soul began to break down her skin and flesh flying off her body into the air. It only took a few moments, but after those moments passed there would be nothing left of her aside from a cloud of white that began to dissipate as what remained clung to the objects in the train car. Osaka was saved for now.

Amare almost glared at Keira. Almost. His chivalry kept him in line from snapping at Keira's treatment. But he still would not allow her criticism to pass without comment. "That's conjecture!" He argued back at her. "She could be a focus, or a victim or a hostage, or any manner of other possibilities!" Amare argued back,
before Keira's cutting remark about a woman being the death of him. "...You sound like my teacher." Asuka had tried hard to break Amare of his habit of holding back and refusing to allow harm to come to a woman. Sadly without success. "You don't need to be so violent with her!" He protested. "She's exhausted. Even if you're right, she's in no condition to fight back. I can take her back to Uzaki Enterprise, where they can address this properly."

He glanced over his shoulder as he saw Musuhina approaching. "Musuhina! You're alright!" Amare exclaimed, just before the girl spoke, and disintegrated into dust. Amare paused in shock at this, visibly disturbed. Hey, he was just a low level grunt in Uzaki Enterprises afterall. Asuka could only have done so much to prepare him for the world of spirits and devils, and arrancar. Failures hadn't even been on the agenda (possibly because Asuka herself had never met one. No doubt she'd have called them "Pop Kings" or something to that effect, so perhaps it was for the best). The effects of today were clearly visible on Amare's face as he held the bone sword he'd retrieved from the monster previously in one hand, and his Fullbring in the other. "I... need to go and get some air.... Please... excuse me. I'm sorry if I was a burden. It was.... nice to meet you all." He muttered as he backed out of the train car and began to look for a pathway surface.
