[Angel]

Well, it seemed that Amare the Fullbringer understood what her intentions were...although most of the spiritual terminologies she used seemed to just fly past his head. That wasn’t that surprising. He was human after all. It wasn’t as if anyone had been teaching him about the spiri-...Sparkle Wizard? That made her pause although she appreciated his enthusiasm and even willingness to give his life for their goals. Who in the world told this human that Fullbringers were Sparkle Wizards? Well, the Hollow appeared soon enough and with its friends.

“Yes Amare-San. That is the Hollow...although I didn’t expect this to be happening.” Angel went her own way...leaving both Musuhina the medic and Amare on their lonesome. She didn’t even know the failure was present as the young Shinigami dealt with her own foe. She was indeed successful in freezing the abomination that was once a former human before dashing in and effectively beheading it. Little did she know, that she was in danger. She could feel the massive reiatsu building up...before it fired. It was a powerful Kido that she didn't think she would see in a place like this. It would have had to have come from a decently powerful Shinigami in her mind.

Within a moment, a massive blast had filled the area as it enveloped several of these...whatever they were in a fiery inferno. However, some burning ashes had gotten onto her sword arm. “Ah! Ah! Itai!” She slapped at her robes and hand before looking in the general direction of where the Kido came from...to see it was from the rooftop. It was the failure from before. Questions traveled through her head immediately. This woman...how was it possible she could use Shinigami Kido? She didn’t seem to be a Shinigami, and her reiatsu was mixed up. She would find out later. There was something off about this situation.

The thread just about dealt with, Angel was left with more questions than answers. Sheathing her katana after flicking the blood off from it, Angel quickly saw Musuhina rush to heal both Amare and then come to her. Within that moment, Angel felt the healing aura recover her wounds very quickly. “Arigato Musuhina-Chan. Forgive me for not sticking by you. I was being reckless.” It was then that the failure came and revealed herself...and spoke about results. Angel nodded her head. “So...it seems you didn’t kill a bunch of normal humans. You’re trying to figure out what’s going on as well.”

Angel slowly stood up before looking to Amare’s direction. “This is troubling...very troubling. That Hollow isn’t what’s doing this. Although I have suspicion on where we can find the answers. The underground subway. That’s where we first saw this Hollow as well as disturbance. It was also where all the humans on our end were running away from. Amare sir. Ahem...I’m sorry I don’t have your name miss.” Angel spoke, addressing the failure. “If you would help us try to locate and get rid of this threat, I would be grateful.” A sigh as this day has been...a loooong day. Would likely be longer.

Aaagh! Now there was fire everywhere!? Where had that come from!? Amare backed off from the blaze, trying to avoid being burned. He was not entirely successful, unfortunately, and he suffered a burn on his right side. Which was unfortunate, because that was his sword arm side. "Agh! So uncool!" He snarled in frustration as he felt the surge of burning pain sear through his body. He'd also suffered injuries to his neck, which was unfortunate. However. Here to save the day, was his angel, Musuhina, who began healing the injuries that he and Angel had suffered in the brief, but fierce battle. "Th-thank you milady!" He said to Musuhina graciously, as he felt the pain of his burns fade away. What remarkable powers Sparkle Wizards had! "I'll be certain to be more cautious if I can. But if it comes down to protecting you and Lady Angel and avoiding damage, I shall leap to your defense each and every time!" Well. Amare certainly had bravado, that was for certain, and judging by how he'd gone into the smokescreen with barely any hesitation, he clearly had courage as well. Or perhaps it was merely lack of sense. Maybe a bit of both? In any case, Amare's wounds were largely healed thanks to Musuhina's efforts. "Does that not tax or fatigue you?" He asked. "Human World doctors, of course, use medicine and bandages. Nowhere near as effective as what you do. And yet, it looks like you are using that strange energy that Asuka-sensei uses. Prolonged use tends to fatigue people doesn't it?" He asked.

And it seemed now that another person was joining their crew. And wouldn't Amare's luck have it, it was another woman. Angel seemed familiar with her. "G-greetings madame! Was that... was that your fireball that struck during our engagement!?" Any irritation or anger at being burned instantly melted away. "What a magnificent attack that was!" He exclaimed. "You wiped them all right out! It made my swordsmanship contribute near nothing at all!" He praised. Angel then began a discourse on their next course of action. The subway tunnels huh? "Ah... I see. Very prudent! A skulking cowardly thing lurking in the dark, and sending these poor things to do its bidding, you think, Milady Angel?"

[Musuhina Kesshino]

From the looks of things, it seemed like Musuhina's concern had managed to get through them. Well...mostly anyway. Mori seemed content to put on a brave face and stick to the front. A pretty sensible place for him, in any case, but she would later speak up to answer his question about her healing abilities "Eh, I mostly just have to concentrate, other than that, I feel fine.". Though if she did ever feel any fatigue during it all, she might not have noticed with her attention focused on seeing that the wounds she healed were patched up completely. However there was still the massive mess around them to concern themselves with.

Angel had made a good point earlier by suggesting that the cause of this insane event was somewhere in the tunnels. She managed to absorb it just fine, despite the borderline nauseating smell of burning flesh and ash around them. At this rate, she'd hope that they would all make it out of this, alive at the very least. But that was something to worry about for another time. She would walk towards the Failure and examine her for a moment "I'm kind of glad that you're on our side right now. If you'd used that on us on purpose, we'd probably be about as fried as those guys right about now." she would say, motioning her thumb over to the burning bodies "In any case, I'm up for heading through the tunnels. What do you think?".

Keira leaned bored into the fingers of her reiatsu arm. Everything seems to keep repeating themselves in the same peculiar pattern. She investigates an interesting energy signature, then she run into some spiritual red haring, captures or kills it, and gets roped into meeting several...interesting individuals who jump to the conclusion that she is there to help them. She had seen the uptight girl's type before. Shinigami coming into her world for one reason or another. Maybe the shinigami were looking for the same thing she was. The medic was not someone that Keira was worried about. She didn't seem to keen on a fight one way or another. The other shinigami on the other hand seemed the type to hold her duty above her own well being. Those types were a problem. Then there was the buffoon. People like him just annoyed the ever loving shit out of her. The over the top courtesy, and showmanship was enough to make her gag, and the fact that he directed it at her made her want to slap him with one of her arms, but she held herself in check. 

From what she could sense, she was the strongest out of all the current members of their little party, but there was still the weakness of her body. A single scratch could be enough to finish her for good, and take out most of the city with her. In a one on one battle she might have held the upper hand, but two on one was a less than desirable. All it took was one lucky shot. Plus, she got the feeling that the shinigami knew something. It would be useful to keep her alive for now. They all will have their uses at some point. She scanned her bright pink eyes over each of them while listening to their idle chatter. Of course the reckless shinigami assumed that she would just help them already having an idea on where to go. The medic went full on assuming that she was on her side.

"Who said that I was on your side Medic?" Keira said dismissively. As she saw it, she was on no one's side but her own. Their goals just happen to align at this current moment. She looked to the reckless one. "You may call my Dr.Bright, or just Doctor is fine." Now her eyes narrowed slightly. "But your gratitude means nothing to me, and though I may be a scientist first, I am still what many would consider a mercenary, and last I checked mercenaries don't work for free." She took a second to think about what she would want. What would this shinigami, be able to give her that would be worth her time. There were two things at the moment that would be of interest to her either one would do. "I don't require much, but I won't be leaving empty handed, and before you say anything helping people and doing the right thing, i couldn't give any less of a damn about. You can give me one of two things." 

She held up two fingers at first quickly lowing one of them. "One, you give me whatever technical equipment you have on you for me to study. I have been interested in shinigami for quite some time." She paused for dramatic effect. She chuckled a bit before finishing her thought. "If that cannot be done, I take whatever we are chasing alive back to my lab." She would keep an eye on each of them for their reactions. To her they were simple demands, but she knew that for some reason, such demands tend to be the subject of anger or disgust. She would mentally shrug. It didn't matter what they thought of her. She still needed samples for her experiments, and either way she will be getting some.

It seemed that the small group of spiritual individuals was finally coming together with a plan in mind to stop whatever was causing the normal humans of Osaka to become what could only be exampled as lifeless monsters that sought out everything. They believed that the best bet was to find the source in the subway tunnels below Osaka where they had constantly seen the humans emerging from when beginning the attacks. It was a good assumption, but would they find the source?

They'd have to fight back into the tunnels as the sound of the collapsing building had brought attention from most of the surrounding affected humans. They were on the move enclosing around them from the surrounding streets. The nearest entrance into the subway was on the other side of the street approximately one hundred feet to the right. If they hurried they might be able to get there while only dealing with a few threats each. They'd have to make the move though the longer they took the more affected were going to come after them.

Musuhina and the newcomer began discussing strategy. The newcomer, having introduced herself as "Doctor Bright" addressed Amare for a moment, stating that his gratitude meant nothing. "Ah..." Amare responded. A tsundere! She identified herself as a mercenary, and that she expected payment for helping out. Her suggestions for payment were interesting. Also, she'd mentioned the phrase Shinigami? Amare paused to consider that. "Excuse me but... what is a Shinigami?" He asked. "It seems to me you are all, as my sensei taught me, spiritual beings of some kind... But I don't recall her ever mentioning Shinigami. There were Hollows, Arrancar, Sparkle Wizards and Werecows, and she was not entirely sure what I was, but it seems you are different from me as well." He commented, possibly perplexing the group, with his.... extremely unusual terminology. Amare was unfortunate in that regard, as while Asuka had been an extremely competent combat instructor, her.... eccentric tendencies, had led her to giving groups like Akki and Shinigami extremely unfortunate names, that were rarely recognized by any who hadn't met with the Espada. It also seemed that Doctor Bright was not talking to him with regards to payment. "Why would you want to keep whatever is doing this alive? It's clearly dangerous, and could kill you if we were to leave it alive." He commented. "And to lose a beautiful woman like yourself, would be a sore blow to the world." He looked at Musuhina and Angel. "You said that you suspected you knew its lair? I add my vote to the decision to enter these tunnels and bring it down as soon as possible. The longer we wait, the longer it has to change its lair or harm more people." He suggested, his eyes notably avoiding the burning bodies.

In truth, Amare was lying to himself as well. He felt ill. He wasn't accustomed to this carnage, but he would not sit idly by and let others endanger themselves when he could do something. Even a minor thing. He would help. He had to help. Speaking of, however, it seemed that they had attracted attention and he saw other forms beginning to encroach on their positions. "Milady Doctor.... I suggest you make your decision promptly. If we go into the tunnels now, you may have a chance to capture the creature, and you will have the support of all three of us. I cannot vouch for your safety if you set off alone however. It seems they are quickly returning, and while I am new to strategy, the greatest success of any plan would rely on all of us following it, rather than us all going different ways. Going into the tunnels and cutting this problem off at its source... that is the safest route for all of us, is it not? And the surest path you will have your creature for study?" Not that Amare planned to spare the creature. He hadn't even promised that he would. But it wasn't exactly wrong to say that if Kiera didn't accompany them into the tunnels, then she'd DEFINITELY not have any chance of taking her new creature for study.

[Kiera Bright]

Keira could only look at the human in stunned silence. The look on her face was a mix of confusion and disgust. Her confusion came from the fact that he was apparently instructed in combating spiritual beings, but was not told of the proper names that were given to those races? Werecows, sparkle wizards? What the hell was the person on who gave him that bull crap? Well at least whoever it was, managed to get hollows and arrancars right. Keira would face palm groaning loudly. Was she the only one here with any sense what so ever? She removed the hand from her face and pointed to the two shinigami no doubt as baffled as she was. "Shinigami...those two...in black...with swords." She spoke slowly for him, she didn't want to run the risk of confusing him further with a complete sentence. 

Then came yet another stupid question. Why would she keep whatever is causing this alive? She had to fight the urge to face palm again. This man was becoming more of a pain than she had originally thought. Maybe she would do the world a favor and just splatter him on a nearby wall by "accident". She rubbed her temples not even trying to hide her irritation. "Listen carefully you fool, I am going to say this once. I am a scientist. I study things. Whatever is causing this is of interest to me, and for that, I will track it down and capture it. If that is an issue, then get me some shinigami tech like I asked before. If you can't I am taking the damned thing!"

And the stupidity continued. He was worried that it would kill her. She motioned to her reiatsu hands standing ready beside her then to the still burning corpses of the bird hollow and the humans that had been trying to devour it. "Did you not see what I am capable of? I think I am more than able to handle my own specimens." While he talked to the shinigami Keira brought her thoughts inward to try and calm herself. She could not plan effectively if she let everything that fell from his gaping mouth infuriate her. She rubbed her temples. Though she loathed to admit it, they had a good point in going back to the tunnels. She didn't get a good look around before the bird hollow shot out of it. Either way she would need to move fast their position was compromised. 

The idiot human made the suggestion that Keira accompany them. At least in a group she would be able to capture the creature easier. As a bonus, she would be able to keep track of the three others far easier this way. If they tried to kill the one responsible for this, she could be able to stop them, though finding a way to incapacitate her target would be something she needs to worry about first. Maybe there would be a device that would make capturing spiritual beings easier than just bludgeoning them to unconsciousness and risking damaging something vital. "Very well, lets hurry then." She rallied her arms around them and started to make her way back to the subway. She would travel slow enough for them all to keep up, and the arms would cut down anything that would get within range of them. 

[Musuhina Kesshino]

Looks like the Failure wasn't exactly the most cooperative type of person Musuhina had come across, but she'd simply shrug at her response. She didn't really care that much if she was on their side or not, just that she wasn't gunning for them instead of whatever the humans had turned into. But then she'd decided to take it a step too far with her demands. There was no chance in Hell that she was getting her greedy hands on Shinku Ko. She clutched her zanpakuto protectively, holding it as lose to her as she could while turning her body so that it was out of sight from her. 

"Touch him and you'll be using one of those reiatsu hands to replace the one you lost.". Whatever this doctor had in mind for the thing that caused this, didn't matter to her at the moment. Quite frankly, she could have it if any piece of it was left afterwards. But either way, that bit of frustration and protective instinct boiled more and more to the surface until she drew her zanpakuto and began walking towards the tunnels. "I'm sick of talking about it, I'm heading underground. If any of you are coming with me then group up. If not, then stay behind and let me do my job.". 

But from the looks of things, everyone had started heading there anyway. As they started carving a path out for themselves, Musuhina would hang back and remove the heads of anything hostile that would try and flank the others as they went underground in an attempt to end this once and for all. Though there was one thing that stuck in her head apart from the Failure's demands. Sparkle Wizards....seriously?

[Angel]

It was then that Angel realized that there was a lot going on, after she got healed that is. The fullbringer Amare still had a lot to learn in terms of the spiritual world, because the fact she was called a sparkle wizard for whatever reason made her feel a little violated in all truth. Having her wounds healed by Musuhina, she saw her address the failure woman. What had happened next was not...expected. “You desire technical equipment? There's not much that we can give you. However, perhaps this will be of value for your services.” Holding her hand out, a small black and red butterfly flew from her shirt sleeve. “Hell butterfly. It is a Shinigami tool Doctor. Seeing as you are a scientist, I won't tell you what it does or how it works. Not that I could tell you the last part. After all, why spoil the fun of figuring it out for yourself am I correct? It should hopefully suffice. While we can't give you whatever the source of this weird phenomenon is, I'll offer you something else.” Holding out a small plastic container that looked like a candy dispenser, it was what she had to offer. One of the cheapest soul candies she could get her hands on.

“Don't eat it.” Assuming her offers were accepted, she was suddenly approached with the question of what a Shinigami was. She didn't get a chance go answer as suddenly the pink haired scientist seemed to be pissed. Likely the doctor had an overdose on bullshittery and she realized she had enough. She explained very bluntly what Shinigami were, and while Angel could go into more depth, there wasn't time. A building was collapsing and likely more of those monsters were coming. Frankly, she didn't want to have a sort of last stand situation. While she also agreed with the medic that she wouldn't surrender her Asauchi, it was time to head out. “We don't have time to waste on formalities any longer. We must hurry. I can hear them.” Holding her blade tightly, she began to follow the others into the dark subway station. However, she couldn't let the monsters follow them in. “Doctor, we need to destroy the subway entrance. They're coming. Can you do this?”

Holding her blade, she was prepared for any assaulters to appear. Now prepared for flying tongues, powerful attacks, and resilient packs, Angel knew generally what to expect from her enemies. However, the cause of this mess made her more worried than the horde that approached now. ‘I hope we aren't over our heads. Because this very well can be the death of us.’ Her mission was to defend Musuhina as well as to destroy the threat. Hopefully she could do both. Sticking close to her comrade, Angel clenched her blade tightly with a firm grip. This wasn't good. Not good at all.

It seemed that the unlikely group of spiritual individuals that had come together only a few minutes ago after dealing with the strange new mutations of what were formerly humans weren't exactly getting along all that well. They were constantly at each others throats at the moment and it seemed that at any moment the exchanges between most of them could lead to internal conflict which would make it even more unlikely that Osaka could survive to see the next morning. It seemed that while they were all together and technically working as a single group a team isn't something that the small group could truly be described as.

As they all moved together down the street they'd find a few of the mutated humans standing in the streets between them and the entrance to the subway. The scientist with the pink hair that was without a doubt the most powerful in destructive terms out of them all moved the reiatsu hands that she was able to craft through the usage of her flood and would slash at the three mutations that looked to be normal humans aside from the discoloration of their skin and the rather large blisters that layered their bodies. As the mutations watched the group approach them they'd leap into the air towards the human.

As each was cut to pieces the blisters that covered them were opened and the liquid that filled each was released. Instantly steam began to become visible from the liquid and in a moment the liquid would splash across the right side of the human's upper body specifically his arm with some reaching down to his torso and his right leg. He'd hopefully be able to evade in time or receive some sort of aid from the others otherwise his flesh was going to begin to melt from the bone itself and he was going to experience more pain than perhaps any other moment in his life.

As Musuhina neared the entrance with the others, she would turn and see the three mutants in their way. They were quickly taken care of, but it looked like they had something inside of them that acted like an acid of some kind. And to make matters even worse it looks like the splash would hit Amare in the process. Acting on gut instinct, she pushed him out of the way, getting hit by the acid instead. She would let out a short scream before suddenly keeping her mouth shut while balling her fists tightly.

She would clench her jaw as much as she could as her sword arm took a pretty good amount of it with a part of her shihakusho eaten away by it. She would take several sharp breaths as she could feel the acid eat away at her, feeling some just above her knee and on the right side of her face as well. While looking down at her arm, she could see a large amount of it being dissolved. Though on the bright side, it looked like it managed to stop with only the burning and stinging feeling left. Thankfully, she had her own way of dealing with things like this on her own. 

As her breathing started to calm down, she slowly stood up before checking her arm again once the pain had subsided. She didn't exactly have to look at her arm again to check though, she could practically feel the flesh on her starting to reform. She'd give Amare a quick smile to let him know that she was fine since the Failure and Angel could probably see the layers of skin being regenerated on her from where they were standing. As the last of her skin came back, she moved it around a little to see if everything felt right again before saying "Alright, I'm ready to keep going if you guys are.".

Keira looked around at the mutants that kept coming at them from all directions. The arms that she had already active were more than enough in dealing with most of them. As the claws racked flesh, and the bodies exploded against the walls of buildings, Keria noticed that some of them had some sort of acid in their bodies. She would watch the acid eat away at the walls of the buildings bodies were thrown against, but they didn't seem to affect her arms at all. She was not sure that if it was because her arms were spiritual constructs, or if it was just that the bonds of the arms are too strong for the acid to eat away at. It She smirked before turning to see a group of mutants being killed in the front. 

The acid from their bodies flew at the fullbringer. While Keira could have easily blocked the acid from hitting him herself, she had no love for him, and they did have a medic in the party. She was fully content in watching his flesh melt from his bones. Unfortunately, it seemed that the medic tried to tank the acid for the fullbringer. The stuff got on a good chunk of her arm, some on her leg, and face. She noticed the pain on her face. She took the pain like a champ, Keira could give the medic that much. She watched interested as the shinigami's body started to quickly reform from the burns. She was surprisingly fast, faster than most other shinigami she observed. Maybe she should take the shinigami to experiment on. Keira thought with a smirk.

Once the medic recovered, the resumed their march to the subway entrance. They filed in Keira deciding to take the rear, as her arms were better at fending off the hoard than the three of them put together. Keira would have her back to the others. She watched the hoard of zombies close in on them, and her arms smashing any of them that got too close into the ground, or swatting them away to land against the street or a nearby building. As the hoard approached, and she neared the entrance, she pulled her arms closer together so none of them could pass. Once she was inside, she kept them right in front of the entrance. She would need to block them somehow otherwise she would need to stand here all day.

The other shinigami suggested that she collapse the entrance. That would force them to find another way out, or trap them if the zombies were able to find another way in, but there were not any other ideas being thrown out there. Keira used her arms to smash against the entrance bashing it closed and using shockwaves to make sure the supports collapsed. She made sure she was far enough away from the shockwaves first, she didn't want to explode in such a confined space after all. Now with only one arm, the one she was riding on, she would catch up with the rest of the party. "That should hold them, unless one of them decided melt their way in with the bodies of its comrades."

Amare gave a somewhat puzzled expression at that. "Strange... Asuka-sensei told me that the black robes and swords were Sparkle Wizards, not Shinigami. Do these Shinigami also possess an ability called Shikai in which they transform their weapons, or the power to cast spells at will?" He asked. "They sound very similar... Strange..." He noted. It seemed tensions were rising, as Keira seemed insistent on capturing the target alive, and Musuhina seemed less than pleased. "L-Ladies, please. Let us focus our aggression on our common foe!" Amare proposed. "We can see what will happen then." And indeed it seemed Musuhina and Angel were making their move. He moved to try to cover them, Caliburn in hand, ready to attack at a moment's notice. However before he could even cut a single blow, Kiera had taken the initiative, rending apart many of their adversaries. Thick bubbling fluid splashed out from their wounds, about to splash onto Amare! ....Until a certain Shinigami interceded.

"Musuhina-chan!" Amare exclaimed in horror as the Shinigami took a blow meant for him. Her scream was all Amare needed to hear, for his vision to burn red. "You bastards!" He snarled, springing in front of Musuhina again, blade in hand, and furiously hacking back at any enemy that tried to close in. True he had seen the acid blood, but #1. Amare didn't exactly have many other tools at his disposal, and #2. He was furious. At both the creatures for harming Musuhina and himself for failing to protect her-- instead having to be protected in turn himself. There was little precision or targeting in mind as Amare chopped violently at the mutants. If a body part or limb entered his measure his blade would fly out to cut through it, whether it be a limb, a long tongue, a head or torso. Amare didn't even seem to worry much of the acid blood. His blows, while violent, were not liable to rend the creatures apart, but rather merely cause debilitating or lethal wounds, that would prevent them attacking further. Even if blood sprayed, it wouldn't spray very far. Indeed, his savage chops had limited edge alignment being propelled by brute force instead of technique. Rather than severing limbs, they were as like to break them with the sword's own weight.

Amare noted Musuhina's smile of reassurance, but in his frenzied fervor, mistook it for a smile of approval that he was performing his task. So onwards he pressed, his Fullbring flickering in and out to hew away at the dangerous creatures, until they reached the subway entrance and began to descend. He heard a crashing sound from behind him and glanced back as Kiera collapsed the subway entrance behind them, blocking them out. Amare gave a heavy sigh. His clothes were worn and filthy, and he had likely suffered several burns in his wild attack. "Are you alright Lady Musuhina?" He inquired quickly, focusing on the medic. He glanced around as well, to make sure there were not more of them down here.
