Oblivion awaits Osaka (DP, Medium)

The ragtag group of spiritual entities continued to move throughout the city of Osaka getting closer and closer to the entrance of the subway tunnel. That was their destination and it seemed that the job of all the infected was to make getting there as difficult for all of them as possible. As they continued to slash and hack through the bodies that were attempting to kill them. Not only was the Failure now slaughtering the changed humans, but the Fullbringer as well. So much carnage and blood was spilled in Osaka over the next few moments that perhaps even the street itself would be stained red from this day onward.

As they finally reached the tunnel and the Failure collapsed the entrance they could all take a moment to relax and make sure that everything was alright. If they actually took the time to look though they'd notice that their clothing had holes throughout all of them from the droplets of acidic blood that had been spraying throughout the air as each infected human was cut down. They'd feel irritated burning all across their bodies from the small droplets that burned them enough that there would be blisters across the majority of them.

Each of them would feel a much more painful burning from their feet though. Even if they hadn't suffered as much damage from the small droplets of acid across their bodies the feet were a different matter entirely. The burning sensation was being caused by intense blisters and burns on the bottom of their feet. Any sort of footwear that they had been wearing was burned away by the acid that now layered the street. They would have about a minute before suddenly they started to hear the sound of something inside of the train tunnel. Whatever it was sounded as if it was moving towards them with a loud thud every few moments. What would they do?

[Angel]

During the approach, it seemed that Angel wasn’t able to do much whatsoever. The scientist was taking the lead and was taking satisfaction apparently at slicing these beings apart. Yet, Angel took liberty to notice that among the mutants, several of them were odd in terms of appearance. However, it was not until they leaped at the Fullbringer and the acidic substance spilled forth did she realize what dangers they held. Musuhina decided to use her own body as a shield to defend the human, and in that instance did Angel’s eyes widen. “STOP! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” As the medic flinched in pain, she witnessed the regeneration occur before her very eyes. Yet, Musuhina did not know what dangers she might have been thrusting herself into. This was becoming hectic, idiotic, and rushed. They needed to be more careful! The failure, the rush, the adrenaline, the realization she wasn't doing her mission. It was making her stressed.

Using her sense in common observation, she would have logically noticed the concrete being corroded as well as Musuhina’s flesh and so would have a little more common sense to try and avoid such footsteps. Yet, as everyone cleared the path, she held her blade now in worry. Taking a deep breath, she grit her teeth and ran after everyone else, and soon the entrance of the cavern was closed off thanks to a powerful launch of arms, literally. It was dark however in here with dim lighting. Yes, indeed her skin was irritated from holes of acidic blood droplets, but it shouldn’t impede her too much with her pain resistance. Yet, something was happening. There was a larger threat approaching the party, and it didn’t take a rocket scientist to realize this.

“It never stops...just one problem after another. Though, I suppose I haven’t been doing much to address the problem. It all ends now. I’m going to do my part for once.” Clenching her blade tightly, she began to walk ahead of the ticking time bomb failure, the enthusiastic and morally righteous medic, and the human who was eager to prove himself to be of noble intention and protection of not only the human race, but them as well. As the most powerful Shinigami present amongst this group, she decided to address a question. “We Shinigami do have Shikai…” Daring to face whatever this foe was face to face, the spiritual build up would begin to grow rapidly as the youthful Kuchiki stood.

“I never thought that I’d have to call you in such a place like this. Accursed tool, one forgotten through the ages.” The blade began to glow a sickly shade of black, streams of the darkness growing before gradually turning grey and extending in a more cloth like form at the handle of her blade. “Pierce. Datenshi.” There was a burst as her blade for the most part...looked exactly the same other than the bandages that now completely covered her handle and part of her guard. Yet, to those that were observant, they would see the thread pattern has changed from plain black to red and white. “This might be the threat we’ve been looking for. However, if it isn’t...allow me to deal with it. Go on ahead and let me buy time. We won’t get anywhere if we keep running and just running into new dangers. Kesshino-San. Heal Amare one last time.”

She was an unseated officer of Squad 7, but that didn't mean she was incapable. She had worked long and hard to reach this new level of strength, and she would not let herself be outshown by the failure. No. Even with the reveal of her primary release, she was far from done! The show was only getting started, not at the climax. Taking deep breaths, she looked to the blade in her hands before going ahead. 'Calling me in a dark place like this. What a silly little Angel you are. Hahahahaha. You know you can't keep suppressing me forever. I want out, and I'll find a way to be used "properly" or maybe not. That's the fun of it all.' The veins in her eyes tensed. 'You need me.'

[Amare Mori]

As they moved through the tunnel, even Amare with his limited ability to sense spiritual entities or phenomena was growing increasingly uncomfortable. He could notice how heavy the air was getting; rife with tension and the threat of danger looming. This was only magnified when he smelled burning rubber and the acid on the floor began to melt his shoes. "A-ah! It's getting dangerous. Watch your step!" He exclaimed. However, it was clear that it wasn't just spots of acid coating the ground but a proper layer. "I-I know all three of you are very experienced at this... But if any of you wants to conserve your strength.... and feet, for the fight ahead, I can carry one of you." He offered, holding out his arms. Amare didn't possess the absurd reiatsu strength of Kiera, or the kido of Angel or Musuhina, but in physical brute strength, he was perfectly capable of carrying someone as light as the others for an extended time frame. And chivalric values at least demanded he make the offer. Technically, if Amare had his way, he'd have just swept the nearest one off the ground to protect them, but somehow he suspected such an unrequested showing of Chivalry would see him blasted through the subway walls by the subject.

Amare observed as Angel released her Shikai. Releases weren't something new to him although they were uncommon. Asuka had given him the basic drill on them. "So that's a Shikai. Interesting. It is different from Asuka-sensei's Resurrection." He noted. Oops. Well, that was clear how Amare knew of spiritual phenomena despite being a human unaffiliated with XCution or Uzaki Enterprises. Anyone with an ounce more knowledge about such things than Amare (which was everyone present) would recognize Resurrection as the name of an Arrancar's release. So, Amare had been taught by an arrancar? It would at least explain his knowledge of Hollows, and very little else beyond that side of the spiritual world. Angel had suggested Amare be healed one more time. "I'm alright. Really. It's just some minor burns." He protested. "Whatever up ahead is clearly more dangerous than the creatures we have been fighting until now. We should save our strength. I can deal with this. No need to concern yourselves with such minor injuries."

The group had closed off the pursuing infected making it next to impossible for the many of the them that had gathered above ground that were hunting the four individuals that now stood in Osaka trying to find the source of this infection. The one shinigami was doing a great job at keeping the rest in good condition so that despite the major numbers against them they were always had a chance to still emerge victorious. While the acid had burned the feet of each individual it hadn't been enough to really stop them and now it seemed they were going to face down whatever was coming from the tunnel.

They had only heard the sound of heavy movement a moment ago yet still there was nothing to be seen in the darkness of the tunnel itself. The second shinigami that was obviously the one that specialized in combat as opposed to the other shinigami released her zanpakuto revealing her shikai and it seemed she was going to face this new foe head on. The others for the most part hadn't moved that far away from the collapsed entrance of the subway station that they were all now standing in. While they continued to speak none of them planned with one another or asked one another if they could hear the sound approaching them or if any of them had any clue what could possibly be making so much noise.

It didn't matter though. The fate of these spiritually entities was in a bind for they were getting close to the source and now they weren't just going to come across the random infected that roamed the city of Osaka, but the infected that guarded the source itself. From the tunnel suddenly would rush out what looked to be nothing, but dark grey carpet and the sound of scurrying tiny feet. The speed at which it moved was simply astonishing compared to everything else that they had faced so far moving at approximately 700. None of them would have the senses to really tell what was rushing towards the Shinigami that had just released shikai, but in reality it was a swarm of infected rats.

They all moved forwards as one rushing towards the Shinigami and then pouncing off the ground towards her from move then ten feet away. They virtually launched themselves off the ground and up into the air targeting the Shinigami's body. Many targeted her arms while some others went for her head and chest. Almost a dozen were right upon her in barely more than two full seconds had passed. These rats were fast, numerous and weren't to be underestimated. One would manage to bite Angel's right shoulder while another bit into her left forearm the fangs of its mouth seeping deep into her flesh causing her blood to ooze out from the new wound.

They were going to overwhelm her as the others reached her and would start to attack her lower body literally attempting to tear her flesh from her bone with their fangs as more than a hundred rats attacked as a single threat. It wasn't known yet what this Shinigami's zanpakuto could do, but whether it could save her or not one thing was for certain. She would need to either get away from the rats now or the others were going to have to help her otherwise she was as good as a appetizer for the rats that would undoubtedly turn and rush their next meal.

[Angel]

Ressurecion. This human was one that associated with Arrancar, the most unsavory of peoples. However time to ponder this was lacking. The rumbling of the ground soon revealed itself. Hundreds of vermin rushing down the tunnels in unison, affected by the corruption of the mysterious entities. “Kuso!” Murmuring to herself, she took a few steps backwards, and thus Angel took action by pushing her unarmed arm outward. “Bakudo no Sanju-Kyu! Enkosen!” A spinning, rotating shield of orange energy had formed, spinning at such fast speeds, the rats that dared to assault her were sliced, ripped into shreds logically upon their leap. It was akin to throwing fruit at a powerful blender. Yet, she did not remain idle. ‘I won’t let you control me...you know this.’ There was a silent chuckle before it became a full blown hysterical laugh.

‘Silly child...I already am controlling you. You’ve called me, and that acknowledges you need me. You need power and I am simply the loan shark waiting to collect my interest. I wait for my bond...and when I collect, your wings will be mine silly Angel. I’ll take your pride, your dignity, your friends, your rank. I’ll take you and strip you to your knees. I’m going to give you a drug that’s killing you and you’ll thank me for it.’ A sinister laughter filled her head as the Shinigami’s eyes lit up in anger. Unbridled fury as she used her own teeth to bite upon her sword handle, ripping the bandages off from the bottom. A red eye awakened, a pattern in the thread before rapidly travelling up the sword handle and glowing brightly. Within that very moment, the eye finished its transition to moving to the tip.

“HAAAAAGH!” Expending a hefty price of her Reiatsu, the young Shinigami’s blade suddenly extended, shooting out a flash of silver that rapidly cut through hordes of rats with her blade length of ten feet. The eye rapidly looked left and right, causing the blade to move along with it, covering and slicing all rats within its sights. However, the sword ignored the existence of the barrier, cutting through it as if it didn’t even exist. Her own arm which was extended was sliced through with ease, and yet as the first line of rats was sliced, any behind them would experience a similar fate. Within a flash, the eye looked up, and moved in an angular path before slicing stone, collapsing rocks upon the remainders of the disgusting filth mongrels in her display of wrath. The very tunnel itself would shake as her extended blade pulled inward, and the eye was silent. “I will not be coerced into your deal. I control you. I wield you.’

Standing there, huffing, she charged with a battlecry, swinging her barrier into whatever resistance might remain. ‘Like I said you deaf imbecile. You’ve already made the contract.’ Demanding her will to return to her, be her own, if the last of the rats were to fall, she’d pant heavily as her left arm felt tired. She had held a thirteen foot long blade as it swung rapidly through a horde of rats. On top of this, this was the first time she had ever wielded her Shikai in battle. Taking deep breaths, she felt her blade bathe and revel in the bloodshed and destruction. “W-We must not...delay.” Biting her lips, she sealed the bandages once more against her blade. The power felt good. Yet, she must be patient. No, patient wasn't the right word. She had to resist the temptation of power. 

Shaking her head, her barrier cracked, then shattered before Angel turned to her temporary allies. It was time to go. She said she would deal with the problem. She did. It was an obstacle too great to overcome and go around. Yet, she had vanquished what she was sure was all of them. “We’re close...so close.”

Shiryoku no me (Blade of Sight):When Angel takes off the bandage along the handle of her blade, the blade is capable of shooting out a extending blade that may shoot a blade up to the maximum of ten feet. It is also capable of traveling along anywhere on the blade and or surface the blade may be touching although at that point it is stationary. The eye is unique in the aspect that it may pierce through most defenses with it's long defenses and thus is capable of causing great damage. This costs 150 reiatsu to use the eye each time. The speed the eye is capable of moving on around surfaces and it's position depends on the user's speed. The eye and the speed of the user are the same.



Weaknesses:

1. The blade grows heavier the longer it extends therefore making it difficult to use.

2. The blade may only extend straight and only where the eye can see. Therefore, avoiding it is not a challenge.

3.The blade once extending has a cooldown of two posts before it may be used again.

4.The eye once left on another surface is stationary and therefore is incapable of defending itself.

5. The blade may not pierce through any defenses one higher than itself and or anything that has 1.5 times it's offensive stat.

The infected rats that rushed towards the female shinigami like a wave of water it seemed weren't fast enough to eliminate her as her shikai provided her with an ability that tore through the bodies of the infected like rice paper. Blood covered the area around her entirely along with the majority of her body and attire now. While she had proven that she as well as the Failure were to be feared and could hold up against multiple adversaries at a time she had left herself open by attacking without aid from anyone else.

In the next instant from the other side of the tunnel that the rats didn't crawl out from two long disgusting grey colored tongues lashed out wrapping around the right ankle and the left wrist of the Shinigami as she stood in the air. Instantly she'd be pulled backwards with a force of 100 while the tongues around her limbs squeezed with a force of 150. She was being pulled to the other side of the tunnel quickly to what could only be more problems.

She wouldn't have to wait to find out though as just as she was being pulled backwards through the air did other infected humans start to pour out from the tunnel. Only a few rushed towards the Shinigami that was being pulled backwards. As they reached her they'd lash out at her back with slashing arcs of clawed fingers. If she didn't do anything to free herself or at least attack behind her then her back was going to suffer a some deep lacerations.

Another dozen infected humans rushed up jumping from the subway tunnel track onto the station floor and rushing towards the small group of three. Running at a speed of 300 these infected were definitely more lethal than the others that they had faced up to this point. They as well though only seemed to have their hands as weapons. Moving upon the three and attempting to slash at the vital areas with the long sharp finger nails.

[Kiera Bright]

Keira couldn't really react in time to try and do anything about the rats. She also couldn't think of a technique that would be efficient in killing them all without exhausting herself or killing them all. Luckily it seemed that the shinigami girl had things under control. She watched as the girl was able to cleave all the rats with her sword, though watching her, it seems that there was more to this than one would normally think. It was clear to Keira that Angle was struggling against something. Was she struggling to maintain control of her shikai form? It was hard to say, but she was too busy mentally taking notes of the fight to worry about it now. 

Now that the rats were gone, Keira brought another hand up under her. She would then rise one for each of her companions to spare their feet from the acid on the ground. "Here I might as well help out as well." She smiled a bit before two tongues would fly and grab the shinigami. Keira would immediately summon two more hands farther out to grab the tongues and stop Angle from being pulled away from them. Now more of the infected were running down tunnel after them. Luckily they would have to cluster to get close, which Keira was all too prepared for. Keira used her hands to break the tongues like snapping a rubber band, and proceed to focus reiatsu in the palms of the two arms. 

The black energy would move from their palms to their fingers. As this was going on, Keira waited for as long as possible. She wanted as many of them to get hit by the attack as possible. Keira would have the arms throw the five blades of reiatsu into the crowd of infected humans easily slicing them up mentally callling the name of the hado, Hado #18 Kage no Kiba. Ten blades would slice through the hoard of infected like a hot knife through butter. Whichever humans were not killed by the blades were easily finished off by the two hands. The human were swatted away trying to keep the acid blood splatter to a minimum in their direction. She could sense the source of this pain in the ass. She was ready to be done with it. 

"Lets finish this. My interest in these things is starting to deteriorate rapidly."

[Musuhina Kesshino]

As she pressed on with the others, Musuhina could slowly feel the acid on the ground eating away at her feet. Though due to her regeneration, she could afford to pay it no mind. However, she couldn't say the same for the others, worrying especially about Amare's overzealous pride and what it could do to him. The Failure was definitely strong, even on her own with intelligence to boot, but it looked like that was all she had. Then, out of nowhere, her  train of thought was derailed as Angel stepped forward towards a wave that was moving way too fast for Musuhina to react to, a certain theme that she'd probably have to get used to at this rate.

But as the wave grew closer, it was suddenly pushed back as a barrier shredded it apart. And due to what little was left of it, Musuhina could see that they were in fact, rats. Before she could wonder as to how they had gotten so fast, Musuhina had suddenly felt a dark presence close to them as Angel's zanpakuto was ripping through the rest of her enemies. As if the sinister eye moving along the blade wasn't enough of a tell that it wasn't a wellspring of good intentions, Musuhina could also feel the malevolence behind its every action. 

As Angel's zanpakuto's power faded, Musuhina could feel herself being lifted while the constant chewing of the acid she was standing on withered away. She looked down and saw that the Failure had decided to help them with a small hint of a smile cracked along her face before ripping a few other infected apart with ease. From the looks of things, it looked like they were at the homestretch with hardly a push to go. Whatever was waiting for them at the end of this tunnel would definitely end up meeting its match with these three. Leaving Musuhina with an ember of hope that Osaka wouldn't be swallowed in a sea of acid and rot tonight.

[Amare Mori]

Amare heard them before he saw them in the darkness. Rats. A giant legion of rats. "Oh you've got to be kidding me... That is so uncool." He grimaced. And they were fast. A swarm of small, fast enemies was the worst kind of opponent for Amare Mori. All he had was a sword-- and that was not well suited to fighting something like this. Sure he could hack away and was virtually guaranteed to hit something.... But there was no way to make a meaningful dent in them. Not unless he could do something like slash a dozen times a second or something crazy like that! Nope, Amare was just a really fit, athletic human. He could only swing so many times.

But he had to do something. Because the swarm was attacking Angel! Amare stepped up right next to the Sparkle Wizard and his blade flashed and hacked into the swarm, likely hewing through at least a few rats. He likely did not cause any meaningful damage to the swarm, but he might have softened it up for Angel and the others at least? It was likely his only contribution that he could make. ....Not that it seemed it mattered. Out of nowhere a shimmering shield of energy appeared before Angel, shearing the rats into bloody hash. Amare stared in momentary amazement, before resuming his attack. It was perhaps, because of this that he noticed the gray tongues emerging. "Oh no! Milady Angel watch out!" Amare exclaimed. Angel was dicing the rats to pieces, and was clearly distracted. She didn't see them. But Amare did. And apparently so did Keira as she went to intercept them, saving Amare the need to. He sighed in relief as he saw this.


There were more of those disgusting creatures. "Out of my sight!" The Fullbringer declared, advancing after them, with hewing and cleaving blows, to fight them away from Angel. Amare was using wide, broad strokes, targeting their extremities-- their hands, their tongues, so that if any dared try and attacking him, they'd end up with their limbs being slashed off. And as he pressed in closer, his broad strikes were aimed at their faces and necks. It was a simple motion, like a windshield wiper swinging back and forth, that wouldn't possibly work against a trained swordsman, but against the rapid, berserk creatures, devoid of any proper defense against his blade besides dodging? Against enemies like this it was an effective way of clearing out a wide swathe around him, to give the women at Amare's back room to work and fight and react.

Amare was lucky that his Fullbring was supernaturally sharpened and strong. A normal sword would have risked getting stuck in one of the mutants, but Amare's blade was keen and sliced through them with ease, retaining its edge on every swing, cutting through flesh, muscle and bone alike. "We must be close... I agree milady! The resistance here is getting very fierce!" He concurred as he continued his assault.

Now that it seemed like they were finally making way towards the source of whatever was actually transforming the citizens of Osaka into these creatures they were for once working together. Together they seemed to work alongside one another much better and were without a doubt much more successful against this onslaught of infected than if they all continued to work apart. The shinigami would have been in a mess of trouble if it wasn't for the human who had rushed alongside her to fight the wave of rats. As the tongues were flung outwards towards her body the human managed to aid her successfully as he cut the tongues.

He charged forward and began to slash and hack his way towards the infected that had just attempted to grab Angel with their tongues. As he began to reach them though the three that were in front of him jumped backwards like wild animals as they hunched over placing their hands on the ground in front of them and then starring forward at Amare. In the moment that followed suddenly Amare would be able to hear the sound of their flesh being torn apart as the spine of each infected ripped through the flesh covering it and then up at the base of the neck. He'd have a fracture of a moment to actually see what was happening to the infected when suddenly the spines of the infected would be fired out of their bodies as if they were ammunition.

Amare would have to react when he saw what was happening in that moment or instinctively in order to evade the three spines that were now flying towards him at a speed of 1000. Each spine was the length of a human's torso, but the top was sharp like the head of a spear. If Amare didn't react in time than he'd suffer catastrophic damage to his body as the spines would blast through his flesh and bone causing a massive gaping wound on the left side of his torso. Another wound would be the simple fact that a chunk of his right thigh was simply gone and his bone was fractured with the outer most area actually chipped away. The worst wound though would simply be the fact that his sword arm was blasted apart at the bicep.

Amare could react to any of the spines or all of them, but at the close proximity the chances of him dodging them all were slim. Perhaps one of the others would be able to help him, but it was doubtful as the others would have their hands full as well. They were reaching the source and that source was going to throw everything it could at them now. The Failure though continued to prove that she was the strongest out of the four that had been fighting against the infection of Osaka as she channeled yet another kido and this time utilizing the large hands that she was able to form from her reiatsu cast off ten separate blades of black reiatsu.

The blades of reiatsu cut through the group of infected humans that were rushing past the others in the tunnel that had just now been firing off their spines directly at Amare. The human was lucky that the Failure possessed such skill in kido or perhaps simply reiatsu in general that the blades didn't miss their targets and slice him apart instead. No the medic and the Failure seemed to be in a great place as none of the infected could get near either of them. However, even as they both stood on hands of reiatsu made by the failure suddenly they'd feel an impact right near them.

The collapsed station entrance was being attacked from outside by the group of infected that had been stopped by the rubble. Through the rubble of stone that was keeping the infected from getting inside came what looked like white projectiles that were long, thick and white yet hit the floor of the station like the shell of a ballistic tank shot. They were going to get inside soon if they didn't managed to progress further in and stop whatever was causing all of this. It wouldn't be so simple though as the spines that had just impaled the floor suddenly began to crawl along the ground at a speed of 300 the ribs acting like legs of a spider as they jumped towards the medic and the Failure in an attempt to bind their torsos while impaling their sides.

[Angel]

Rats were no thread to Angel. Why, with this blade, she was powerful. As the hordes of beasts were being sliced at a mass of rotating fans, she was thinking that quite likely her circular locking fan would be clumped, clustered, blocked by a mass of the beasts, but she was successful thanks to the effort of Amare launching his own slices, killing a good number to prevent her from being overrun. The rats were defeated, but before she could accomplish much else, the sickening sound of flesh was released before one of the appendages wrapped around her sword wrist, the other latching around her ankle. “Nani?! Angh!” They already got into the tunnels? How many more of these monstrosities were there?! She skid her sandals against the floor in an attempt to stop herself, and thankfully two arms of ethereal manipulation stopped her.

Looking to the Failure, she found herself freed by the crushing of her opponent’s tongues and thus she could move. As Kage no Kiba was launched, she resorted to diving and landing on her stomach as the dark masses of energy sliced the odd infected creatures like butter. Though...the two that remained, the ones that Amare charged for with his blade drawn...she should have scolded him, told him to let her and Musuhina take care of this, for she was putting a human in danger. Feeling the fatigue from using her Shikai, there was only so much that she could do. “STOP!” She knew that she couldn’t help him against all three of them, her own Byakurai was oh so primitive and could only do so much.

Not really thinking, she let her instinct guide her as she thrusted her blade outward, then she heard the twing of blade tips shooting from her blade, a light blip of red for every projectile. They flew at a speed nearly rivalling the speeds of the spines being fired, but they of course took less time and effort to form and fire. Three shards released at 800 speed, attempting to fly with their menacing power, and would then attempt to meet with the flying spines, yet again activating their hidden power. If the shards hit through, the ethereal layer of the “Endan” would allow the blade to pass through them as if they ceased to exist, attempting to hit the monsters that shot them. As for the spines themselves...well, they’d amazingly pass through everyone, as if they themselves were but an illusion to the eye. Her blade had the power to pass through any layer of material, but also made it so that those things were not tangible as long as the blade was lodged in it.

The same could be said for these bullets of hers, they passed through a layer of existence and yet caused these spines to simply meet a similar fate. If and when they did decide to viciously stand and attack, their movements would simply cause them to pass through both of the females, and Angel was not eager to stay. “We must hurry! Move if you can!” Allowing everyone to dash down the tunnel, she stayed behind to guard the slow Musuhina, as her job, looking in particular for the tunnel the Hollow had originally run down, the one that was too fast for them. They could find the source of this chaos, this mayhem, surely. No...they had to, for the fate of Osaka rested on them. Panting at another expenditure of reiatsu, she could feel those bandages loosening, signalling that the eye wanted to get out.

'I can taste the blood, and I want more Angel. Kill everything and everyone. Do what I command and I will give you the taste of power that you want so much. My slave, my bondman. Hurry up and let me rule over while you can. You and this ragtag bunch can't win without me. Do...it." Angel shook her head, deciding not to listen to the voice of persuasion, realizing that there was some merit. They were having a hard enough time as it was fighting now, and the thought of fighting something stronger was always a fearsome, thrilling adventure. Though...she had fear in her heart, not of the beasts, but herself. How long could she restrain Daraku no Tenshi?

[Amare Mori]

Angel had commanded Amare to stop, but for once, the hero wannabe did not heed her instruction. He couldn't. He couldn't stop. Couldn't retreat. Refused to back off. Musuhina had already suffered an injury on his watch. He refused to step back and let someone else get hurt. Regardless of the damage he would take in turn. The creatures he'd assaulted wilted in the face of his attack, backing away. He had them on the ropes now!....what was that sound? As the spines blasted forth a part of Amare questioned how such massive spears could be launched from the infected's body, even as he attempted to turn back... No. If he dodged aside, the spines might travel past him and endanger the others! But they were so fast! ....Slim as his odds were, Amare tried to meet the attack head on. But they were... fast. A little too fast. Amare's blade barely was quick enough to check the back end of one of the spines, at best, mitigating the damage he received. But instead, they simply passed through him harmlessly. "A-Ara...." He stopped. "I-I mean ha! Just as planned!" He proclaimed, driving in aggressively to try and hew through the infected monsters to finish them off with a flashing series of cuts.

Angel ordered them to head down the tunnel and Amare instead stuck with her and Musuhina, intending to guard them against any further surprise attacks. "It's fine. I will protect you as best I can. They won't get past me." He assured them. "You are both incredible. So I have to do my part in this as well." He praised the two Shinigami. "We're almost there! If you need me to, I will carry you down this tunnel while you fight if that is what you require!" He promised, Caliburn flashing in his hand, to hack at any enemy that grew too close to them.

Keira kept to the back of the group watching everything unfold before her. It seemed that more and more of the abominations were coming out of the wood works. She would hear something behind her as well, turning slightly to see that the abominations outside of the subway were starting to make their way through the rubble barricade. They had to move on now. With only her and the medic on arms, that freed up some of her offensive potential without having to expend more energy. She narrowed her eyes knowing that she had to do something. "Its time to go." She announced to everyone that could hear her, which was at least the medic shinigami.

She pushed to of her arms forward striking out at any of the abominations that got within their reach. They would act as the vanguard stemming the tide of abominations from the front. She sent one to the rear to make sure none of the abominations behind them could attack them by taking down more of the subway increasing the barricade. She would keep the last one by her as a protecting unit. It was a good thing two. Two new types of the abominations tried to launch themselves at her and the medic. Using the one arm she had with her, she positioned it to intercept them and swat them away like a mighty hand would swat away a mosquito. She would push her allies along as well. The sooner they were done with this fiasco the better.

This was it finally they had tracked down what they believed to be the source for all of these alters humans that had continued to attack them. The failure had noticed that the entrance was being pushed in and soon they would be flanked by the group of infected that they had left back up on the surface of Osaka. While she was fast enough to collapse more of the entrance to keep them away was she really doing what was best for the common good? While she was keeping them away from the group she was also keeping them on the surface which meant they could be also being attacking other humans not yet infected.

AS the rest of the group practically rushed down the subway tunnel in the hopes of finding the source and eliminating it as swiftly as possible they would enter into the darkness of the tunnel. Having no source of real light in the tunnel actually seeing anything was hard enough, but while these entities had been fighting off the infected they had also seen many. Who was to say hat at the moment as they walked through the tunnel they weren't being surrounded by infected whether they be humans or even more rats? In total darkness even the most brave could feel fear although this may prove to slow them down or shake their nerves they wouldn't be attacked.

It would take them a few minutes of constant rushing or even longer if they stopped to pace themselves, but eventually they'd all come to the next train stop and actually see the subway train at rest in the station. While they still stood in the darkness of the tunnel with only the light of the station surrounding the train peeking in on them they would be able to watch as what seemed like a dozen infected humans crawled down from the top of the train and fell to the tunnel below. They didn't land like anyone would assume, but actually fell smashing their bodies against the cold cement.

Something felt off and all watching would feel a cold crawl up the back of their spine as they watched the bodies of the humans suddenly erupt with blood spraying everywhere and bone literally protruding from flesh. It was as if something unseen was ripping them all apart without any of them making any complain. The only sound was that of their bodies being torn apart and coming closer together. Perhaps at this point one of them might realize what could be going on, but none knew just how serious things were about to get. The flesh, blood and bone of these humans were coming together piecing themselves alongside one another like some sort of horrific puzzle.

In mere moments the bones of the humans as well as all the flesh was pieced together into a creature that by a mere gaze would send what felt like a choking sensation accompanied by the scent of decaying flesh and blood. The only one in the group that wouldn't feel as if all of the air in their lungs was tainted and their throat wasn't closing up on them would be the pink haired Failure who was simply powerful enough to gaze at this creature without any ill effect. It's eye sockets looked empty yet it was obvious that this creature could see them all as it extended it's right arm and pointed at the Failure with it's long sharp bone finger.



This thing was miles above everything else that they had fought to this point and it was the only thing standing between them and the source of all this chaos. They needed to defeat this creature so they could get passed it and find the source and prevent it from completely eliminating Osaka. The heavy bone fanged smile of this creature was off putting almost like it was smiling at them all. The tunnel floor would crack under it's might as the creature stepped forward in a blur of movement to appear in front of the Failure with its right arm raised ready to stab forward at the girl with it's razor sharp fingers. The speed that this creature just moved with it was almost like it had just executed a step technique to achieve a speed of 4800.

That wasn't all though as the Failure wasn't the first of the group to be attacked by this creature in that single moment of movement that it had just made as the first move in this battle. Any who gazed at it now would see something that hadn't been there a moment ago attached to the sides of this creature's forearms. Scythes! It had the ability to form it's bones into weapons at what could only be near instantaneous speeds. The shinigami swordsman and the human had been holding their own against the infected humans and now would more than likely either charge passed the tunnel or attempt to fight the creature alongside the Failure. Either way in this singular moment a wave of pain would register in the minds of them both.

The both of them would suddenly realize that the weight of their release weapons suddenly was missing almost like . . . it wasn't there! As both would check they'd see that not only was their sword missing, but so were their hands! This creature had manifested the scythes at such speed that as it passed by them to reach the Failure in the back it had sliced through their flesh and bone disarming them in an instant. This creature wasn't like anything else they had fought it knew what to look out for and how they all fought and who was the most powerful. Although disarmed both swords were on the ground in front of them ready to be grabbed in this fight if either could overcome the pain of missing their hands. One thing was for sure though if they didn't fight survival was almost certainly not possible.

This creature is made from a dozen infected humans and thus the condensed flesh and spiritual power of each infected has granted this creature power beyond anything else that this source can manifest. This is the trump card of whatever is attacking Osaka.

Enough was fucking enough. There was a limitation to how much Angel was going to take, and she was going to take it no more. As she ran ahead, eager to get the mission done with, to kill the source, to end this calamity, she simply raised her hand, using a bit of her reiatsu to light up the place. Dashing through the area, all that ended up happening was they entered a larger expanse, and in that moment, she could see ahead that those twelve rotting corpses fell from the air and were really...really being a pain in the ass at this point. They were annoying as they were dangerous, and they functioned to be even more so in a pack. However, as they exploded into some form of amalgamation, she wasn’t going to let it happen. Using Shunpo, she came before the twelve bodies while they were still just that, twelve bodies. She wasn’t going to let this thing form, no, no, no. Logically it would take at least a bit for these twelve bodies to meld, so she was going to take full advantage of it.

“Gurea.” With a tone of malice on her voice, that eye ripped through the bandages, and within a moment, the eye shot out a ten foot long blade, slicing any and all corpses within her vicinity, but that wasn’t all. Looking to a body far to her left and one farther ahead, she fired a single Byakurai to pierce the body of one, and then the other. Even IF they were able to continue merging, they’d be incredibly damaged to near useless as her eye twisted back in a circle, the girl feeling the weight on her singular arm before she supported it with both, slashing through limbs and bodies alike without distinction. These damn corpses, this damn company, this damn everything. She felt angry, as if she wanted to kill everyone and everything around her. If the others had any common sense, they would help her before this thing could do anything. However, she felt herself slowly going mad, or perhaps she was already.

Her left eye was tensed, raised almost a whole notch above her right as her eye receded the blade back, and then her own left eye relaxed. Yet, she gave grunts, utteral grunts as she slashed at a body she now stood on rapidly, aiming to dismember it until it was a bloody sack of meat. She wanted to kill everything...or almost. She barely managed to keep composure as her bandages subconsciously, but far more loosely wrapped around her handle. After slicing and beating at the opponents, and hopefully putting them down before they could do any real harm, she looked to the Failure. “Find the damn thing and let’s kill it already.” She grit her teeth and she proceeded to kick the hunk of meat at her legs away in disgust. Though she slowly unwinded, trying to keep herself okay. This wasn’t her...this wasn’t her. ‘This isn’t me.’

It was time to move on, and hopefully move on they would. Time was wasting and more people were likely being terrorized while this was going on. Apparently, they were very close, so they ought to find and deal with the thread immediately. “We stick together and eliminate the threat quickly. Afterwards...we need to get out of here. There is no WAY that any of us, even you Doctor Bright are akin to dealing with all of these monsters alone. In fact, I ought to call for reinforcements.” Obviously disgusted with the situation as well as her former display of brutality, she panted, sighed, and looked to move on. Her feet would take her wherever the failure was to go, because unlike her, the failure could actually use energy sensory making her invaluable in this situation.
