Trouble in Paradise [Disney Event, Medium, NDE]

[Senshi Odayakama (Crimson.)]

Two seaweed soldiers were her enemies, but they moved slower than she did. That meant that it wouldn’t be hard to get the jump on one. “Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!” Using the Shunpo, she would flash up to one of these plant beings before landing on top of the head of this plant apparition and then leaping high into the air behind it, performing a flip so that she may aim this hand at it’s back. “Hado#31:Shakkaho!” A flaming red fireball would be launched with such intensity that it would absolutely destroy the moss apparition in front of her.

As an added bonus, it would propel her farther up and at a rapid speed. The blast would be large enough to encompass the second moss wickerman as well to light it on fire at the least. Using the advanced airground, assuming normal airground could not be used, Senshi used the Shunpo a second time to gain a distance advantage to appear closer to the moving chariot. “Shrapnel!” Running along the two eels, she had fired a salvo of shards from her blade which would cover a wide area of effect not only attacking Ursula but the two eels at the same time. Assuming she was successful, the shards would pierce and be lodged in their bodies. As a result...from this point, both eels as well as Ursula would be losing 300 Reiatsu per post assuming they didn’t have superior offensive stats compared to her. Also...the shards would only get longer and sharper the longer they were inside as they absorbed Reiatsu.

“Don’t you dare think that I’ll let you get away.” Senshi took a few deep breaths as she held her blade at her side with six tendrils floating around her defensively. “You have proven to be my enemy. So I’ll reap your soul. Shonin Joka.” The blade would glow red upon being called and Senshi narrowed her eyes at the visage of this witch. That trident was her only weapon as far as Senshi knew. She had to be careful of it.

OOC: Dan. Just like in a PvP, you should never state the results of your actions in an Adventure. That's the DM's job. I'll let it slide this time, but be more careful in the future. Narrating the results of your actions can be highly detrimental to your character's health.

IC:

The shakkaho from the Shinigami did catch the seaweed creations on fire, burning them to a crisp. They seemed to be particularly weak to fire despite being made of oceanic powers. However, the chariot was going to be difficult to breach. As Senshi wasted energy in trying to approach the chariot with a Shunpo and fire off shrapnel, the Queen just raised her wand and a barrier of energy formed around the chariot, reflecting all of the pieces of metal. "If you're determined to try to fight me on your own, then feel my wrath!" The chariot stopped for a moment so the Queen could turn and face Senshi, her eyes glowing red with anger.

Still behind her impenetrable barrier, she began to mutter an incantation. "Bones of Shark and shell of turtle, gather up and form a hurtle that which cannot be unmade but by the power of mermaid." The effects of the incantation were instantaneous. Seaweed pods started to form all around the chariot, opening up to reveal twisted monsters inside. These men, if you could call them that, were humanoid from the waist down, but shark from the waist up. Additionally, they had protective turtle shells on their back. These monsters were fast and strong, unlike the seaweed monsters. They also didn't have the same weakness to fire, or at least didn't seem to. Senshi would have to defeat all ten of them before she could hope to try to catch up to the chariot that was once again riding off yet still protected by the magic barrier.

Meanwhile, a storm was starting to form over the ocean. Triton looked longingly at the sea, knowing that he couldn't come up on land to stay with his daughter and her bodyguards. "I'm sorry, but I must leave you for now. That storm is anything but natural... It feels... It feels like Her magic again. I must see to my people and make sure that they are safe." And then he swam off again, leaving all of their questions unanswered. But the Princess spoke up in response. "There's not a lot that we can do. Ursula is extremely powerful, and holds a grudge against our people for turning our back on the magic of the ocean. All we can do to prepare is muster up our troops in the castle. They're trained to fight against human invaders, not magic ones, but they're the best that we've got. What do you two have to offer that can help us against Ursula?"

[Shizuka Sanamizu ✮]

Shizuka knew it was as good a time as any at this point to reveal what she had. She didn't want to fully activate her powers, but the least she could do was explain them. The blonde presented herself before Princess Ariel and smiled genuinely at her, hoping to calm any nerves she had. If they were going to have any hope of defeating Ursula, they were going to have to trust her. With a deep sigh, Shizuka did what she could to try to explain. Her body language was calm and her voice didn't rise any volume above a soft tone. She wasn't trying to be intimidating, after all. She just wanted to come to an understanding.

"I'm a Fullbringer. I can manifest my spiritual powers into something called a Fullbring that materializes out of my shoes. They reform into a weapon that looks somewhat like a child's toy, but it is capable of shooting any liquid in the entire world that I could possibly think of. I have other abilities, but this is my main strength."

She didn't bother going into detail about her Secondary or anything she knew how to do on the side, but she figured she could at least make herself slightly vulnerable to these people. She was willing to show her heart to them if they would show her theirs. Shizuka was fairly well-known for being compassionate despite the fact that she was an assassin. The only reason she could do her job was simply because of her ability to dehumanize her victims. She saw them as nothing more than annoying pests that needed to be eliminated. If they were any other bystander, this wouldn't be the case. So all she could do was hope for the best.

[Irina Davayte]

Irina waited for Shizuka's reply to answer the question, hoping to get a feel of how her explanation was received before she answered herself. "Same as her, I'm a Fullbringer. I have the hilt of my grandfather's old sword, and I can transform it into a functional sword, made of durable ice. I can also create snow blasts that can cause damage from a decent distance." She side-eyed the ocean. "I do want to warn you, though, that I am not at all comfortable with the ocean. As you just saw, I am not a particularly strong swimmer. I am willing to get on a boat if needed." She remembered the scene in the movie where Ursula crushed the boats, and shuddered, despite the oppressive heat and humidity. She longed to see the world below, where King Triton had gone, but didn't think it would be an option for her.

Shark men enemies. More minions...and this time there were ten of them. The Shrapnel of her blade was capable of absorbing reiatsu of techniques and from individuals of inferior class and offensive stat as her. However, the shrapnel was repelled with relative ease, scattered all around the chariot’s perimeter. Senshi observed the shark like beings and knew an attack from behind would never work. However, their fronts as well as their legs were the weakspot. “Shonin Joka.” She had a serious frown on her face as the shards of her blade would begin to stand up...almost like small knives on the ground. She had ended up making a circular hazard of sword like caltrops.

Now...running fast at Senshi would be a hazard as these knife like appendages were capable of slicing flesh. If they did cut flesh, they would absorb reiatsu and only grow. Holding her blade outward, she had suddenly twisted it as it would begin to spin in a circular motion. “Hado#58:Tenran!” With her powerful reiatsu, her blade ceased its spinning as it would release a tornado that would attempt to twist and lift all ten of these turtle like creatures high into the air. However, with her finesse with its control thanks to her mastery, it would also grab the shrapnel that had dropped. “Slice them to pieces Shonin Joka!”

She had took a deep moment to take a breather before waiting to see the result of her attack. She didn’t have time to be stalled here. She had to progress. To those that were cut, the shards would absorb 150 reiatsu for each slice. For those that were impaled, it would be 300 reiatsu drained. Ursula was providing her with fuel to refill her own reiatsu reserves. Her eyes were narrowed as she was wondering how shark like enemies would deal with something like this. One could say...it was a Sharknado.

"A full... bringer? What an odd name for a witch. You two are obviously witches if you have such magical abilities. Making any kind of liquid? Snow blasts? Sounds like witching to me." The princess looked pretty skeptical, but less guarded than before. She, therefore, wasn't sending her guards after them to try and cut them down. But she still looked very cautious of the two women before her. Her attention, however, was quickly turned to the sky to the east. A dark cloud was starting to form, with crackling black lightning. Something evil was coming this way...

"Ursula..."

Meanwhile, the shark/turtle/men were charging after Senshi. Her blades stood up on end, forming caltrops, and two of them were pierced and held fast by the blades that grew through their fleshy feet. Stuck fast, they'd find that their magical essence was being drained from them and given to Senshi. However, this would not translate to reiatsu for her reserves. Instead, it directly powered up her Tenran, making it a massive cyclone of an attack. Blades flew everywhere and cut into the half of the creatures that didn't dive out of the way. That left just 5 of them to charge after her, carefully avoiding the caltrops as they ran.

As the Tenran had sent many a shard into those other 5 turtle/men/sharks, more magical essence flowed into Senshi. Her next attack would cost the same amount of reiatsu, but would be 3 classes higher in clash, 3 times as large, and 3 times as powerful... This amount of power was no joke and could be used very seriously to harm or to hinder. It was up to Senshi how she would use this power, but for now she still had 5 men/shark/turtles to deal with. Would she use her powerful spell now and not have it for later or would she defeat them some other way and risk overloading herself with this raw magical power? Only Senshi could decide.

[Shizuka Sanamizu ✮]

Shizuka's face betrayed her as it showed a bit of annoyance. It was going to be really difficult to get this girl to listen to her no matter what, but she knew she'd be able to get them to trust her. Somehow. The Fullbringer looked out in the same direction that the princess was looking and noticed the weather change. Something was happening, and she needed to make sure she was ready. Maybe if the princess saw that she truly was working with her rather than against her, there might be more of a chance to gain her trust. Shizuka certainly couldn't blame her for her suspicion, but it irked her nonetheless.

"Listen. We're with you, not against you. Don't you think we would have attacked you by now? I'm sure you can understand. And since you're so worried about whatever is coming this way, let us help you."

[Senshi Odayakama (Crimson.)]

Now… the caltrop plan had worked to some extent, although she wasn’t expecting her Tenran to suddenly grow larger in size and power as a result of it. Half of the shark men had been enveloped in the wind and sliced to shreds by her shards while the remaining five had been injured themselves. “Birdcage Shonin Joka.” It was at this moment, the six blades that made up Senshi’s Shikai would impale themselves deeply into the ground with the sharp side pointed outward in an attempt to ward off her attackers. This was no longer a battle of strength, but a battle of attrition.

To the shark men, the shards within them would only continue to drain them of their energy and in that time, Senshi rested within her defensive cage. If any of the shark beings were to get close to the woman, simply the blade closest would raise itself and stab outward. She was going to wait them out as until they ripped every single shard from their body, they would likely find themselves withering away little by little until nothing was left. Senshi on the other hand felt powerful with a surge of power flowing through her body. She, if safe in her barrier, would rest herself and embrace the power that was flowing through her.

It was then, that Senshi decided to focus her power through her blade. Normally, when Shonin Joka was given reiatsu, it would grow sharper and even more powerful. Well, Senshi had channeled 700 reiatsu into her blade. However, as a result of the power boost mentioned before, Senshi’s blade would grow stronger to the point where it would be as if she put 2,100 Reiatsu into her sword. Senshi’s blade grew 10% Sharper for every 100 reiatsu was placed into her blade...so considering that was the case, her blade would grow about twice as strong as it currently was. So, adding 840 Reiatsu Strength onto her current 600, her blade would have the offensive strength of 1440 for her release power.

Assuming that the turtles had not fallen from exhaustion, Senshi had simply lifted the blades of her cage before attempting to slice out with each of her blades against any and every of the sharks. The power behind the blade was now beyond what even most captains would be able to accomplish. However, 600 reiatsu was no small price to pay. She felt tired...but felt the need to chase after that Ursula figure. Assuming she had dealt with the mysterious shark creatures, all the shrapnel in the nearby area would crack and shatter. Each particle would float back into Senshi’s katana as a piece of their reiatsu would live on in her blade forever.

Now, Senshi had to go and catch that witch before she did something. The black clouds in the distance were alarming and the weather was changing. The Shinigami had to hurry up and do something...and so, as she ran, she would begin to chant for her most powerful Hado...Hado#91 as she ran out in an attempt to find the power stealer Ursula. Hado#91 was something that was dangerous to use in a populated environment, so she would have to get the self proclaimed queen alone in order to use it without harming anyone. She had to hurry.

[Irina Davayte]

Irina focused on the dark cloud in the distance as she listened to the princess. She felt that her concern was valid. Witchery? Sure, call it what you want. Irina's favorite auntie probably would call her a witch herself, if she know what Irina had been up to lately. Frankly, Irina felt that the things she could do were pretty unnatural, too. Her comfort level with the whole situation was honestly rather low. But she figured that if bad things were out there, she'd better become as strong as she could be, to protect herself and whatever innocents she could.

Before she could reply to the princess, Shizuka butted in. Irina looked at her with one eyebrow raised, as she listened to this woman who had to be around her own age. When she was a kid, Irina's mother would probably have whacked her on the mouth if she would have even considered addressing an adult by instructing them to "listen". It wasn't so much an issue of the position of leadership that the princess had; Irina had been taught to speak respectfully to everyone: a three star general, her fencing coach, the janitor at her school, or the owner of the local grocery store. Her parents had successfully taught her to speak respectfully to everyone-- at least, until they did something to revoke her respect. Incidentally this included not bossing around a princess. Thus, she was not exactly excited about Shizuka speaking for her. She didn't like it, and she hoped to correct it before she was associated with this bossy, abrasive behavior.

Irina drew in a breath as she tried to reformulate what Skizuka had said. "Princess, I understand your uneasiness. The powers I've developed do seem quite unnatural." She wasn't a particularly empathetic person, but she was compassionate, so Irina was working on developing this skill. "With your permission, I really do want to help you. What can we do to protect the civilians here? And in the meantime, I am willing to help with containing Ursula the best we can." Irina was pretty sure that the princess had very limited military experience, but figured that they had some other infrastructure set up for those sort of operations. She was also careful to ask permission, rather than to inform her of what she intended to do.

[Kyomei Kuchiki]

As Shizuka and Irina calmed the Princess down with their words, there was a flash of light in front of the woman. Reality seemed to twist and bend as two pieces of white glass formed in midair. Through their actions, they had brought harmony to the conflict and generated small shards of Harmony crystals. Based on the size of the crystal that Shizuka had seen in Walt Disney's bubble, it could be estimated that it would take three such shards to form a full crystal of harmony. These crystals would drift towards Shizuka and Irina, waiting for them to take hold of them. Once they did... nothing would happen, really. These crystals were still inert.

Meanwhile, Senshi's birdcage was extremely successful, cutting up the rest of the shark/men/turtles and finishing off the crew of them. As their energy flowed into her, she translated that energy into a sharpening of her blade, giving it an incredibly fine edge. One that could rival most of the Captains save for Kyomei Kuchiki, Captain of Squad 6. Alas, that wouldn't give her any extra oomph to her Kidou, even though she was charging one of the most dangerous Hado ever created as she ran towards Ursula's chariot. Before she could get too far though, the same twisting and bending of reality should cause her to hesitate. A small red shard formed in front of her to signify the violent path she had taken so far. It also was inert for the time being.

Senshi's run would soon take her back to the beach. She had caught up with Ursula... but she had also caught up with the Fullbringer who had threatened her life. The chariot of eels had brought the Queen to the shore, about thirty feet from Irina, Shizuka, the Princess, and the entourage of guards. When she first got to the beach, Senshi too would be about thirty feet from Ursula. This could be a very dangerous place to be casting Hado #91, but the Shinigami seemed determined to kill the Queen without hesitation.

Ursula didn't make any sudden moves, just glaring at the Princess with a fiery hatred. "So you thought you had seen the last of me... Well think again, my pretty! Ursula is Back!"

Ariel cowered behind one of her guards. She was shivering with fear, looking over to the ocean repeatedly looking for her Father. What was keeping him? Was he overwhelmed by the growing monster horde in the depths? And what did Ursula have to do with it if she had just now obtained her power again? Ariel couldn't fathom what was going on, and chose to hide instead. "You... you... You Sea Witch! How dare you come back here?" Well, she had a little bit of spunk left in her. Just enough to insult the Queen.

[Shizuka Sanamizu ✮]

Shizuka watched as the crystal shards appeared in front of the group. One approached her, so she held her hands out in front of her body and grabbed on to it, somewhat cradling it between her palms. She gently smiled at it, noticing its beauty even in its relatively useless state. She was sure these crystals were what she needed to look for, but why didn't they do anything? For now, they were basically just simply decoration. Were they missing something? Well, regardless, she just assumed she was going to have to find out for herself. If they were finished, they would probably have been teleported back or something crazy. Since they weren't, she followed along the story.

It didn't take long for her to notice Ursula's presence among them. Her along with someone else that Shizuka somewhat recognized but had forgotten about. Ariel was obviously very upset by Ursula's sudden appearance, and Shizuka recognized the vengeful nature in the sea witch's eyes. She wasn't here for just any reason. She intended to kill someone, or some many people. The Fullbringer could only assume who that would actually be, especially since Eric was the one who ultimately drove the ship into her belly. Ursula probably intended to get rid of all of them once and for all. Well, Shizuka couldn't let that happen.

[Irina Davayte]

A shard of crystal appeared in front of Irina, and she had no idea what to make of it. Not feeling risky, she waited for Shizuka to take hers first, to see what would happen. When she seemed to experience no adverse effect, Irina poked hers gently before taking it in her hand. Shizuka seemed to recognize the crystal somehow, so Irina turned to her. "What are these?" She took one strap off of her backpack and put the crystal inside. As she was doing so, Ursula rushed before them on her chariot, trailed by a red-haired Shinigami with fire in her eyes. Irina recalled the way the Princess had fiercely grabbed the Sea Witch by the neck in the movie, and had pulled on her hair to make her shoot her trident, killing her eel minions. The princess Ariel had seemingly lost her reckless streak now that she had aged past sixteen. Irina would fill those feisty shoes nicely.

She recalled Ursula's power over the ocean. She hoped that they would have a better chance of beating her on the land.
"Everyone stay out of the water as long as you can!" Irina barked. She recalled how Ursula had been beaten in the movie: being stabbed by a boat. She scanned the area to try to locate something large enough to puncture the woman. Backpack still in hand, she grasped her sword hilt firmly in her hand, keeping it in its inactivated state for the moment. She stood on the edge of her feet, ready to move to avoid a hit if needed, but certainly not ready for any kind of explosion if Senshi decided to use Kidou.

[Kyomei Kuchiki]

Nobody wanted to move first, staying cautious to the bitter end. Angered by the insult from the princess, Ursula began to charge her magics with a chant. "Dust of seaweed, bone of shark. Tremble all ye from my bark!" The short chant led to an explosion of energy that even Irina and Shizuka would feel overwhelming them despite their low energy sensory. It was a burst of energy focused on intimidation, much like the subtechnique Cog from the Willpower focus back in the fullbringers' home world. Ursula's attack was focused on making all of the wills of the weak hearted break. The guards fled in an instant... Though she put up a good fight, Senshi was also overcome by the attack and ran away out of fear for the woman.

"Rise, Sea. Rise, Ocean. Rise, my Kingdom!" The beach started to grow longer as the water started to recede. The ground started to rumble as a massive wave started to roll towards the beach. It was absolutely massive, capable of wiping out the entirety of the beach and the castle beyond it. As it approached the sands that the ladies stood on, a familiar wave of energy emerged from the sea. Triton had returned, and he held out his trident to stop the wave... But he could only hold it back for so long...

Ursula let out a massive cackling laugh. "There you are... Finally, the King under the Sea. My bitterest of enemies!" Seaweed grew from her hands, forming the shape of a trident that matched Triton's golden one. With a mighty hurl, Ursula threw her seaweed mockery towards the merman's back, aiming to pierce him through the heart and finish him off. "Daddy no! Avoid it!" Triton just hung his head. He could not stop the tidal wave and save himself at the same time. He chose to stop the tidal wave and save his daughter and her kingdom... Maybe someone could step in and save him?

[Shizuka Sanamizu ✮]

The feeling of intimidation was intense, but nothing Shizuka couldn't fight. She had felt worse from other techniques and wasn't about to give up, but she wouldn't be able to completely shake the feeling, either. Still, she had to try. She was going to push through it as much as she knew how. She was determined to help, especially after promising these people she would. That was her job, anyway. She was meant to keep anyone safe from dangerous people, and Ursula was a dangerous person. Her powers were so confusing, though. Was she a spiritual being or did she just use magic? If it was magic, could it even be defeated?

What was worse, Shizuka and the others were faced with the threat of a massive wave that was big enough to wipe them all out. Shizuka and Irina would likely be able to avoid it, but the Fullbringer wasn't sure about anyone else. The guards and some stranger had already run away, but was that the best idea for them? Shizuka hoped they would be safe since they left, but there's always a chance they won't be. She hoped that chance didn't exist. For now, she needed to focus on keeping everyone safe to the best of her ability. And it would have started with the wave if Triton hadn't shown up and kept it at bay.

If only it were that easy, though. Of course Ursula would do something sneaky. That was her entire thing. She was never fair and only did things for selfish reasons so she could become even more powerful. Shizuka watched briefly as she readied herself to throw her own seaweed trident towards the King, and chose to help him when Ariel called out. She couldn't control the waters the way Triton could, but she could at least protect him from these threats. Shizuka lunged forward and propelled herself in his direction with Movement. As she passed by him, she grabbed the seaweed trident and pulled it away along with her. It was too wet to burn with the sparks she could create using Soul Command, but it was just a projectile. She doubted it could do anything else.

Shizuka kept a watchful eye on Ursula. She would be able to notice minor changes in her movement and body language and was ready to react accordingly. But she wouldn't be enough on her own. Ursula could control the ocean almost as much as Triton could, and he was busy keeping the wave from destroying the shore. She would either need some help or be able to figure out a way to stop the wave so Triton could relieve himself from the burden. For now, Shizuka threw the seaweed trident away on the sand where she stood, now on the opposite side of Triton from where she had once been.



Shizuka's Remaining Reiatsu: 4975 (-25 for Movement)

Senshi arrived at the beach to find it was full of people...some she recognized, others not. However, her incantation was not halted. She had no intention of using it on the human beings of course. She couldn’t hear or understand what was going down below. Although...with the sudden call of the mysterious witch, something had occurred. The gigantic rise of a wave was evident and a man...what might be akin to a god had risen to stop it. She supposed she found out what she should do. This man was stopping the wave, but if it were to continue its path, it would destroy all of them, including the castle and human lives. On top of this, the woman who stole power from her was aiming to kill him. “Hado#91:Senju Koten...Taiho!” There was suddenly a massive rise of spiritual pressure in the area as she aimed her hands out to the wave, manipulating her reiatsu.

“Boom.” Within that moment, her ten glowing projectiles would fly out rapidly in an attempt to assault the tidal wave, scattered as to evenly repel the wave’s power. Her goal was to destroy the tidal wave. However, this Hado was one of the most taxing as well as powerful. Other than the long incantation, it took a large amount of spiritual energy. More particularly, it was taking spiritual energy Senshi did not have in ample order. She needed rest. Hopefully, she had made the right decision. Leaning against one of the trees, she took deep breaths. She had done her best to try and maintain the peace.

"Shonin Joka...we need to move on. You know this." Silence as the blade glowed eerily with its spiritual power. Looking to the red crystal, she ignored it...not knowing what it was. She would have sliced it, if not for her need to know what kind of trouble she was getting into. Was the Soul Society not aware of what was going on?
