Height/Weight: [5’1”, 115 lb]
Physical Description: [Irina is a cute young girl, barely looking like an adult, even though she is finally eighteen. She enjoys using this to her advantage; as a small young woman in the former Soviet Republic, she was not viewed as strong, and was therefore able to develop her skills as a swordswoman in school without being seen as a threat. However, she nearly always seems alert and attentive, and stands straight to make the most of her skinny but muscular, 5’1” frame. She walks quickly and purposefully, like she always has somewhere to be.
Irina’s soft eyes, thin nose and high cheekbones are typical of her Russian heritage, but her full lips come from her Turkish mother. Bright, steel blue eyes light up Irina’s otherwise serious face, and well-groomed eyebrows frame her eyes to make her look perpetually inquisitive. She always wears eyeliner and mascara, which make her rarely-dramatic facial expressions more vivid. As a serious and well-composed woman, she never leaves home without makeup on. Irina flushes easily when embarrassed or flustered, so she also makes sure to wear foundation to help hide her perceived weakness. A small scar, earned while practicing fencing with her older brother, grazes her right jawline. However, the scar is usually covered with her makeup.
Occasionally covered with a warm, woolen hat, her straw-colored hair is straight and most often carefully bound close to her head or in a plain, low pony tail. Like her hair, her nails are pristine: not long or polished, but well kept. All-in-all, her external appearance is somewhat plain, but neatly put-together. When people look at Irina, they see a non-threatening, innocent young woman who looks like she belongs in school. Her usual clothing style reflects this well.
A typical outfit for Irina is professional, even in casual settings. Style typically takes precedence over comfort. Her preferred footwear is high-heeled boots to work and school, but she brings along sneakers for her lunch break workout. To work, she wears dark pants and a blazer, and a top with a conservative neckline. She chooses simple accessories: generally a watch, necklace and non-dangling earrings. When not at work or school, she simply takes off her blazer for a still-professional look that isn’t stifling.

A very serious young lady, Irina is not quick to warm up to people. When people first meet her, they typically first think that she is aloof and uncaring, before realizing that while she is serious and calculating, she is quite passionate. She would not use the word “love” to describe her feelings for those close to her, but she is willing to fiercely protect anyone who she thinks needs her care. Even her new friends in Japan aren’t always sure what she is thinking or how exactly she feels, and may not understand how much she cares for them. Even if someone were to ask her about her feelings, she is usually unable to articulate them.
She is not generally trusting of people she does not know, and needs to somewhat understand others and can guess what they will do before she is comfortable with them. With things, rather than people, however, Irina is very comfortable. Even with unfamiliar technology, she is happy to sit down with her toolbox and take things apart and put them together, until she feels satisfied that she knows how it works, how to manipulate it, and how to improve it.
Irina is very methodical and regimented, and does not understand how anyone gets anything done otherwise. Her schedules help her meet her goals, and she considers it essential. She loves to learn, and uses her strict routine to allow her to learn as much as possible. As an engineering student, she loves to solve puzzles. She is enjoying school, particularly her math classes. Her least-favorite class is a required art class, where she is constantly asked to explain what different artists were trying to express in their works. How should she know? She is always eager to get back to more prescribed ways of thinking.
When she is afraid, Irina begins to gather as much information as she can, from a safe distance, until she can act according to what she learns. This can best be described as a “freeze” response to fear. She rarely chooses to give up the opportunity to gain precious information in favor of safety, but this can get her into dangerous situations. Fortunately, if she isn’t alone, Irina has usually earned the respect of whoever works with her, due to her caring nature; people know that she has their back, so they have hers. Having even acquaintances with her in a scary situation makes Irina feel much more at-ease, and once she trusts someone, she trusts them with her life.

Fighting Style: [Insert Here] 3 paragraphs minimum
From a young age, Irina was taught to fight with the sword by her older brothers. Her style of fencing is very elegant and graceful. She wastes little energy in deflecting strikes with short calculated movements. Her style relies heavily on parries and ripostes; making openings in defenses and taking advantage of them. Attrition is her strongest suit as she patiently wears down her opponents with small rapid cuts. While often more on the defensive side, her fighting style is adaptable. She’s comfortable fighting in very close quarters and comfortable at mid-range as well. Most of her ranged fighting, however, comes from her Fullbring.
Irina tends to let her opponents pick the range that they are comfortable with and then seek to outdo them at that range. Her main fullbring, even while Incomplete, is well suited for doing just this. Her blasts of winter storm are devastating at close range and can still hit targets at a distance as well. And at close quarters, her icicles can be incredibly dangerous. If she is forced into the Complete version of her main fullbring, her focus will switch to attrition and defense by carefully avoiding damage and attempting to freeze her opponents until they can’t fight any more. Even a small cut from her in this state can become dangerous.
Irina’s Secondary fullbring is a staple ability for her fighting at high classes. It supports her well by summoning a second fighter to further assist her adaptable nature. When her fullbring is in its bear state, the construct will get up close and personal to targets while Irina holds back. The opposite tactic is used while the fullbring takes the form of an owl. Irina will attempt to get close while the Owl supports her from a range. This is a powerful combination when mixed with her Main Fullbring’s ability to be the main damage dealer but also the ability to be an effect support.
When it comes to a life and death situation, where she or a loved one is in danger, Irina’s Fighting Style doesn’t change much. Unlike her brothers, she isn’t headstrong or aggressive. She’s very stoic, very serious, and that comes out in how she fights. Even in a life and death situation, she still focuses on her calculated strikes, though attrition is rarely a good option in these times. She does focus more on the raw damage aspects of her fullbring, seeking to bring her opponent down quickly without leaving herself open to counter attack.

Sealed: Irina’s Sealed fullbring takes the form of an heirloom of her family. When her grandfather was in the military, he had an elegant sword that he personally had forged painstakingly. Due to wear, tear, and rust, all that is left of the blade is the steel hilt. The rapier hilt is elegant and timeless, protecting the hand that carries it even though the blade is missing.
Level 1: The first step in Irina’s Fullbring Transformation is her rapier hilt becomes functional again. A sleek blade measuring 41 inches long grows out of the hilt, made of Spiritually durable ice. As the blade emerges, frost begins to form on the Russian’s head and arms. Her limbs are covered in ice and her hair seems to be made of solid water, though her ice hair and gauntlets unfortunately do not provide her any additional protection.
Level 2: The complete version of Irina’s fullbring begins with her forming ice skates on her feet. The blades of ice are very similar to her sword, and the shoes on her feet grow elegant steel that matches her Grandfather’s hilt. Her feet have become like swords of ice that can glide on ice and glide through bodies. Additionally, the ice on her arms has grown to cover her torso and legs as well, though just for aesthetics and not protection. Her neck and head are open, however. The ice on her hair has grown, almost like it has a mind of its own, and is razor sharp and fully capable of cutting though it has little durability.
Main Fullbring Name: [The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway]
Main Fullbring Level 1 Property: [Insert Here]
Let the Storm Rage on: If it wasn’t already obvious, Irina’s Fullbring has the power to create frozen water. She cannot manipulate pre-existing substances, only create it. She can create it in two forms: Snow and Ice. When she creates snow, it takes the form of either balls or windy blasts. Her snowballs are the size of a softball and cost 25 reiatsu to create. Her blasts of snow are equivalent to a bucket of water in size, move at 300 stat speed and 200 strength, and cost 50 reiatsu. They travel for twenty feet before falling to the ground and remaining there until melted. The snow she creates is cold, extremely cold. It is unpleasant to be struck with it and it can lead to chapped skin that breaks open painfully especially if it strikes the skin directly. Clothing is little protection against this spiritual cold, but does help some. Armor is a good protection, as well as the Cold Tolerance skill. Snow abilities are cast from her hands.
Irina’s ice is much more dangerous, but it costs more. Icicles can be grown from her arms, her head, her sword, or from any point on another icicle. These icicles are up to 2 feet long, extremely sharp, and freezing cold as well. Being pierced with one of these icicles not only inflicts the physical wound but also freezes the flesh around the wound site. The freezing effect does not grow, but is a static 1 inch from each direction of the icicle infliction. Frozen parts of flesh hurt to move but are not completely prevented from moving. Having simple superiority to Irina’s offensive stat completely prevents the freezing ability from forming. Each icicle costs 50 reiatsu.
Because of the differences in the form of the frozen water, between the softer snow and the harder ice, the two have very contrasting durability. The snow has a set durability of 1. It’s almost as if it was made to be cut into. That’s because when you cut into it, momentum isn’t really lost as a result. Unless something fully blocks the snowball or the snow blast, the snow will continue to fly at Irina’s target. As a tradeoff, she has to physically throw her snowballs and her snow blasts only move in a straight line. Her ice, on the other hand, has durability equivalent to her offensive stat. Simple superiority is required to cut through it, though when cut into it shatters and can still be dangerous as shards. Irina cannot manipulate them further, but they do still cause the freezing effect if they were to hit someone after shattering.
Main Fullbring Level 2 Properties: [Insert Here]
Can’t hold it back anymore: By spending 200 reiatsu per post, Irina is able to generate massive amounts of winter storm from her hands. This substance is mostly snow, though it has sharp ice mixed into it. These fire-hose like streams of frozen water move faster than her regular snow blasts (600 stat speed), have increased strength (400), can travel 30 feet, and are in amounts so copious that she is able to fully overwhelm opponents to the point of drowning or burying them in the frozen concoction if they’re not careful. Observant opponents will notice that they can simply climb up to the top of the piles or dig their way out as the concoction is solid enough to stand on, but doing so is very chilling even with shoes on.
I am one with the wind and sky: For a cost of 300 reiatsu, Irina can shift her entire body into snow for a period of 1 post. In this form, she has the same consistency and durability as one of her snowballs. Physical attacks on her will push through her effortlessly, but will only chill/freeze whatever touched her. When that post ends, a gust of wind relocates her body where she wills, up to 5 feet away. She reforms in the exact state she was in, meaning wounds she had suffered prior to shifting still remain after she reforms.
This ability has a cooldown of 2 posts after the post she reforms. For example, Post 1 she shifts and reforms at the end, posts 2 and 3 are cooldown and she cannot use the ability again until post 4. While in this form, Irina has an increased weakness to burning fire. Flaming attacks will be able to deal damage to her that stays even as she reforms. However, if the fire is not “hot” and is incapable of burning things or catching them on fire, then naturally it wouldn’t hurt her any more than a regular strike would. She would not sustain wounds from that kind of fire.
Crystalizes like an icy blast: This property of Irina’s Level 2 Fullbring has a passive and active ability. Passively, this property allows Irina’s skates to slightly freeze the ground she skates on. This allows her elegant movement and her momentum to be conserved instead of hindered by a rough patch of dirt and grass.
Actively, for 100 reiatsu, anything that Irina’s sword or ice skate blades cut into can be frozen. It’s similar to the effect of her icicles in the level 1 version of her fullbring, but this ice spreads. The ice spreads at a rate of 1 foot per post in all directions from the cut in inorganic targets such as buildings or dirt. In organic targets such as trees or living beings the ice spreads at a rate of 1 inch per post due to the higher complexity. And proper balance of the power. Only the cut item will be frozen, it won't extend to other objects. Offensive stat 25% greater than Irina's can resist this.
Secondary Fullbring Appearances:
Sealed: To be gained In Character.
Released: Irina’s Secondary Fullbring takes the form of a dagger made of translucent crystal. It is a single solid chiseled piece of gemstone that act likes a prism in the sunlight, scattering a soft rainbow light across the immediate area.
Secondary Fullbring Properties: [Insert Here]
Polar Vortex: Allows Secondary Fullbring to cover itself in ice and take the form of a large Polar Bear named Mira. The ice bear when standing up on two feet is 9 feet tall. The sides of the bear are slender to the point of being severely caved inwards. This has a purpose, it’s not just a malnourished bear. The chiseling of the sides is a stirrup of sorts, allowing Irina to ride the bear at will. Converting the dagger into this form costs 200 reiatsu. The bear can be returned to a dagger form for 50 reiatsu and must be done in order for the fullbring to be converted into any other form.
The Polar Bear has the following stats:
Strength: 400
Speed: 200
Spiritual Pressure: 0 (Immune to Cutback due to being a reiatsu construct)
Reiatsu Strength: X (X being equal to half of Irina’s RS)
Instinct: 150
Senses: 150
Energy Sensory: 50
Healing Expertise: 0
The Polar Bear has the following abilities:
The creature takes commands from Irina in Russian. She must speak them if she wants to direct the bear, though it can act on its own. The bear is cold to the touch to the point where skin touching him will be stuck and need to be ripped off like a tongue to a frozen metal pole. Irina is immune to this and feels slightly warm to the touch instead. A comforting amount of warm. The bear’s fangs and claws are capable of freezing targets. Inorganic and organic objects that are pierced freeze two inches away in all directions from the pierced site. The freezing does not spread. The bear’s durability is based off its Reiatsu Strength, even if its Strength is higher. It requires 2x superiority to cut clean through it and simple superiority to damage it easily.
Snowy Owl: Allows Secondary Fullbring to cover itself in snow and take the form of a large Owl named Tashka. The wingspan of the owl is ten feet wide. Unlike the bear, the owl has physical reigns and stirrups made of leather. The owl’s primary feathers are brown, the secondary feathers are grey, and the tertiary feathers are snow white. Converting the dagger into this form costs 200 reiatsu. The owl can be returned to a dagger form for 50 reiatsu and must be done in order for the fullbring to be converted into any other form.
The Snowy Owl has the following stats:
Strength: 200
Speed: 300
Spiritual Pressure: 0 (Immune to Cutback due to being a reiatsu construct)
Reiatsu Strength: X (X being equal to half of Irina’s RS)
Instinct: 150
Senses: 250
Energy Sensory: 100
Healing Expertise: 0
The Snowy Owl has the following abilities:
The creature takes commands from Irina in Russian. She must speak them if she wants to direct the owl, though it can act on its own. The owl embodies Irina’s power over the winter storm. By opening its beak, it can launch a small jet of slush with 200 strength and 300 speed. It can do this once per post for free. Additional uses of this technique require it to be touching Irina and draw 25 reiatsu from her. This jet is as wide as a softball, making it require accuracy to hit when aloft but can be highly potent if someone were to be hit by it. The jet is extremely cold, capable of inflicting frostbite to exposed skin.
The Owl’s durability is very different from the Bear’s. The owl channels a similar property as Irina’s Complete Fullbring, allowing it to turn its wings to snow when struck with a physical blast. This can be activated every other post, but does not provide defense against anything that would normally bypass cutback (reiatsu infused strikes, reiatsu blasts, etc.). The owl can be reverted to the dagger form of the fullbring instantly if it is struck with fire that can take up at least half of its body size.

Birthplace: [Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic, Russia]
Current Residence: [Uzaki Enterprises Intern Housing]
Memorable Figures:
Vera Osinov Davayte: Known to Irina as Babushka, Vera is the toughest 80-year-old woman on her street. When she was a new mother with two young children (Irina’s father Maxim and her uncle Lev) at home and her husband away doing military service, her native home at Stalingrad became a battleground. Vera fled their home with her two boys in the middle of the night, sneaking on a railway car before the railroads were shut down by German forces. Like many women in Russia in that time, she worked in a factory. She also started a successful machine repair shop, and Iosef joined her in the business when he returned. Vera and Iosef have owned the shop and ran it together ever since. Irina knows Babushka as a strong, outspoken woman who is not afraid to get her hands dirty, and she hopes to be like her one day.
Iosef Davayte: Irina’s Paternal Grandfather, and a WWII war hero in the battle of Stalingrad. In his retirement, he enjoys continuing work in the shop, teaching his grandchildren the skills he has learned, and spending time with his family.
Maxim Davayte: Irina’s Father, and a Soviet komcor (Lieutenant) at the end of his military career. Unlike Babushka, Maxim believes that it is wise to keep one’s words few. Irina looks up to and adores her father, even though her personality is somewhat unlike his.
Azra Celik Davayte: Irina’s Turkish Mother, who met Maxim when she was twenty-five. She is very faithful to her husband, even when he is away, and it is important to her to keep their home ready for him to arrive at any second.
Demyan Davayte: Irina’s eldest brother, three years her senior. He takes after their mother Azra, and is equally attentive and kind. A true firstborn, Demyan is a perfectionist. While he enjoys playing and letting loose with his siblings or friends, he is very even-tempered, and the only thing that can get him truly worked up is if someone he loves needs to be defended. He is currently living at a college near his hometown while he studies to be an architect.
Demir Davayte: Only twelve months younger than Demyan, Demir is the middle child in Irina’s generation. He was given a Turkish first name as a nod to his mother’s roots. Demir is an even bigger hothead than Irina, and doesn’t do anything halfway. He is ruled by emotion, unlike Irina, who prefers to rely on intellect. He prefers to be active, and was encouraged by his grandfather to become a mechanic. Already out of trade school, Demir likes to tease Demyan about making more money than he does.
Altan Zolotov: Irina’s current and childhood best friend. He proposed marriage three months before she left for school in Japan, as an attempt to get her to stay, but she declined. He has since kept the engagement ring, given to him by Irina’s grandmother for the occasion, carefully tucked away in his sock drawer, at Babushka’s insistence. He tries to keep in touch with her while she is away, but is brokenhearted over losing her. He hasn’t decided on a career yet, but is working a part-time job as a technical support agent in a call center while he is in college.
History: [Place below.] 8 paragraphs minimum
Before Irina was born in Cheboksary, the Cold War had started to manifest in an arms race. One particular scientist, a low level Fullbringer, had begun to experiment with spiritual energies in an attempt to create the perfect weapon for the Soviet Union. The experiment failed, turning the man into a failure with a flood of pure spiritual radiation. Many innocents were poisoned by this man before the Soul Society caught up with and neutralized him. One such innocent was Azra Davayte, mother of two with one more on the way: Irina.
Irina was heavily influenced to be tough by her two older brothers, who made it their mission to make sure nobody would ever mess with their little sister. After a particularly rough fight between Irina and Demir, Irina’s mother had even caught Demir following Irina home from school from a distance, to make sure she made it safely. Azra did not feel the need to keep a particularly close eye on her little girl, because she knew that the two boys would report back any suspicious behavior by Irina.
Demyan was insistent on teaching Irina to fence, even when she was young. Despite her mother’s protests, the trio spent many weekend afternoons sparring in the woods where they did not think they would get caught. Since she is a female, Demyan insisted on making sure that Irina would never be taken advantage of. The only boy that her brothers would ever trust with Irina is her long-time best friend Altan.
Altan had been by Irina’s side nearly constantly since they were babies. Irina’s mother had instantly bonded with Altan’s mother when she, a single parent, moved to their neighborhood in Cheboksary. Having two sons herself, Azra was happy to share advice and her boys’ outgrown clothing with her friend. When their mothers were busy, Irina, her brothers, and Altan spent time with Vera and Iosef, who were always eager to see the children running up to their house.
The kids’ second-favorite activity (after fencing) was ice skating at a nearby pond. Given the frequency of their practice, they all knew several fun tricks, and were quite proficient at it. They sometimes would play two-on-two ice hockey, and Irina and Demyan were the reigning champions due to Irina’s agility and Demyan’s strength. Altan and Demir were also good at hockey, and both played on their high school’s team.
Altan and Irina spent almost all their free time together. As kids, they were nearly always outdoors finding something to discover. More cautious than Irina, Altan had perhaps saved her life a time or two by not allowing her to climb a tree that was a little bit too tall, slide down a hill perhaps too slippery, or swim in a current much too strong. They brought home several found creatures, from a tiny baby mouse to a big, clumsy puppy that turned out to belong to a neighbor. The pair could often be found under a tree, heads together as they shared one book. They took turns choosing the book; Altan often chose fiction stories, but Irina preferred educational materials, history books, and once, a technical manual for old cars.
When they got older, they were each other’s study-mate, debate partners, and still fellow adventurers. They felt as if they could read each other’s minds, and probably actually could. They did not always agree on everything, but knew they were always on the same side. Even if they didn’t agree, they could each count on the other to defend them against someone else. Irina would zig where Altan zagged, and their different perspectives made them wise as a pair.
Altan was quiet, and always polite, even when he disagreed with someone. He would quietly restrain Irina when she was a little bit too quick to speak her mind with people, and had saved her from getting in trouble by arguing with her teachers more than once. He believed in self-preservation over pride, while Irina believed that making sure her thoughts were known were a more important priority than whatever consequence came from speaking her mind.
It was jarring to Altan to hear that Irina had decided to go to Japan to study in college. He had assumed that, like himself, she would be studying close to home, and ultimately wanted to live in Cheboksary with her family. He understood that it was important to her to keep those she loved close, and didn’t like to think of the implications of this combined with the fact that she planned to leave. It upset him to think of losing his confidant, his partner-in-crime, and his best friend.
One October morning, Altan was coaching Irina as he walked her home from fencing practice. “You have to keep that elbow in tighter to your body when you move in on your ripostes,” he instructed, even though her practice was over for the evening. “I beat my partner anyway,” Irina pointed out. “I think I’ve got it under control.” “I’m not saying you’re not good; I’m saying you need to keep improving,” Atlan replied. “Don’t get overconfident; that will only make you sloppy.” Irina got a gleeful glint in her eye. ”I bet I can still beat you,” she challenged. Altan laughed. “You’re on!” They stopped at a local park to spar, and sure enough, Altan got a point on Irina’s elbow. ”I’m not going to say I told you so,” he said teasingly as they resumed their path toward home.
Suddenly, when they had nearly reached her house, Altan turned the subject away from the sport. “Are you really going to go away?” he asked, even though he knew that Irina had already made up her mind to go to university in Japan. Irina looked up at him, startled. “Of course, Alt. It’s a great school. I will have so many opportunities there. It’s the best thing to do,” she said firmly and without hesitation, but he could see her eyes widen in concern.
“I just assumed you would want to stay close to your family,” Altan coaxed. “I do,” Irina said, looking defeated, “but it’s not for long. I will be back in a few years.” He studied her, knowing that she was not as sure of her decision as she made it seem. He took her left hand in his right, and she looked at him, startled and feeling hyper-aware of the feeling of his fingers around hers. “Irina, I love you,” he told her for the first time. She froze, calculating, and not taking back her hand. “What do you mean?” she asked carefully, for once, not sharing with him exactly whatever was on her mind. “I love you,” he said firmly, knowing that she knew exactly what he meant. She paused before softly asking “Why?”
Irina was alarmed. Her brothers sometimes teased and called Altan her boyfriend, but she had never thought of him that way. It had never occurred to her to hold his hand or kiss him, or declare that she wanted their friendship to be anything other than platonic. In fact, she had never had a boyfriend at all; she didn’t understand the value in dating. Sure, a few boys had been interested in her, but she was pretty much oblivious to their intentions, and anyway, the boys were too intimidated by her close friendship with Altan, not to mention her protective older brothers, to approach her.
Of course she cared for Altan, and she couldn’t imaging her life without him. In fact, her youth would have looked quite different without the young man, as he was nearly always by her side. They worked together naturally and gracefully. But Irina was not the type to go around telling people that she loved them, not even her family. She felt that it was alright to leave these things unspoken, but rather expressed by her actions. She put her own thoughts aside as she tried to process his answer.
“You are my best friend, and you know me better than anyone. You help me become who I want to be. You are smart, and brave, and you’re beautiful. I don’t want anyone to be as close by my side as you.” “That’s not what I meant,” she accused, then softened. “Why now? Are you trying to keep me here when you know that leaving home is the hardest thing I have ever done?” He studied her widened blue eyes. “Yes.” Irina smiled slightly, looking at her hand in his, taking note of the warm feeling of being wrapped in the person who she felt was her other half. “I’ll be home soon.” “Not soon enough,” he said, letting go of her hand and scaring her by taking something small from his pocket.
“That’s Babushka’s,” Irina interrupted before Altan could say anything about the small, shiny object in his hand. “Irina Rozaliya Davayte, will you marry me?” “No,” she shook her head, a little bit too fast. “No, Alt. I can’t. No.” Her head swam with thoughts, least of all that her grandparents had agreed to be a part of the whole scheme. He gently took her chin in his hand to tilt her face to look back at him, and she immediately swatted him away. “Tell me why not,” he asked patiently, hoping to perhaps persuade her. “I don’t want to!” she burst out. “Do you love me?” he tried again. “You know how I feel about you, Altan,” she said with fire in her eyes. “Tell me.” “No!” Silence fell between them. “I have to go,” she whispered. He stood frozen while she walked home alone for the first time in years.
Irina didn’t walk straight home, but instead wandered a bit as an attempt to clear her head, slightly into the part of town that her mother warned her to avoid. Irina thought she saw something out of the corner of her eye. It looked like a young boy, just staring off into space, but for some reason she could almost see right through him. It must be the stress of Altan’s confession getting to her, she convinced herself, and moved onward. But more and more of these spirits started coming into her vision. What was happening? Irina felt a pressure, a presence unlike anything she had ever felt before: some sort of sixth sense warning her of something nearby.
Irina turned a corner and saw what looked from behind to be a huge, shaggy bear. It turned, revealing a white mask with a menacing sneer. Irina’s eyes widened as she backed up, trying to hide back behind the corner. She tried to think of anything she had in her backpack to defend herself, but she had absolutely nothing of the sort, only a practice fencing foil. Irina hoped she was not a target as she saw the creature eating the ghosts she saw: just biting into them and eating as many as it could get its fill of. Then she saw someone run toward it: a shockingly calm Asian woman wearing a black robe and wooden sandals, with a curved sword unlike her own.
The woman un-ceremoniously cut the dark figure’s mask with her sword, and it suddenly evaporated and what appeared to be hundreds of spirits were released into the air. She then touched the hilt of the sword to the forehead of the surviving ghosts. There was a bright light, and they suddenly disappeared. Then the woman was just… gone, through a door that appeared in thin air. Irina turned back and ran home, wishing to run back to Altan, but deciding against confiding in anyone, least of all him. She decided to pretend the whole thing never happened, even her conversation with Altan.
Soon after this confusing event, Irina found a flyer for a classical music concert in Japan. She had to take a double glance, because she thought she saw graffiti etched all over the paper, but it didn’t seem like the sort of thing to be vandalized. Looking closer, there was real writing on the flyer. ”If you’re reading this, you’re special. Call this number and use the code word ‘Ghost’ to be connected with an internship of global importance.” Well, since she was going to Japan for school anyway, might as well call that number and see what kind of opportunity it could be…
And that’s how Irina came to be an intern at Uzaki Enterprises in Karakura Town, Japan.

-Basic Information-
Name: [Irina Davayte]
Real Age/Age of Appearance: [18, 18]
Birthday (Month/Day): [October 17]
Blood Type: [AB+]
RP Sample (Optional): [Brand new to RP]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Appearance-
Height/Weight: [5’1”, 115 lb]
-Personality-
Dislikes: [Create a List below.] 5 minimum
- Insincere people: In a family where verbal expression was scarce, Irina learned that those who talk too much rarely mean what they say. While her two other brothers occasionally picked on her at home, she knew that when needed they could flip in an instant to be completely serious when their parents demanded it.
- Deceptive people: With her father rarely home, the thing that bothered Irina the most about her neighbors were their hollow words of “it will be all right”. Irina knew that her neighbors, who had all seen bad times in their lives, knew that it wouldn’t necessarily be alright. She didn’t like being lied to, on a personal level or about factual issues.
- Reading Fiction: Irina feels like this activity is a complete waste of her time. She would rather spend her time pondering real-world issues than getting lost in a fairytale world that doesn’t improve the world she actually lives in.
- Frivolous Activities: Going alongside her dislike for reading fiction, Irina believes that her time should be applied judiciously, rather than wasted on games and other such forms of mindless entertainment. As a young person, she learned to use a sword from her Father, a retired Soviet komcor, Lieutenant General. She translated this skill in school to compete in fencing tournaments, always focusing the training on making her body stronger, rather than to have fun.
- Hurting Innocents: As the daughter of a Soviet military man, Irina has a strong sense of justice. She can’t stand by idly while civilians and innocents get hurt, go hungry, or are unjustly oppressed. Even as a child, it was important for her to stand up for her classmates who were picked on by bullies who were much bigger than Irina was. This is where she learned that she needed to be physically strong, even if she was never going to be physically big and intimidating.
- Communism: Irina grew up hearing stories from her babushka, her father’s mother, about the depravity of the Soviet people before and during WWII under the banner of Glorious Socialism. Babushka was one of the few people Irina knew who was brave enough to speak out against these ideals, but even she whispered these thoughts only behind closed doors. Irina hated the timidity that the government forced upon its people, which remained even after the Soviet Union had fallen. This is a conflicting emotion for Irina, because she too feels too afraid to speak out publically against the political ideology, even though she is now far away in Japan.
- Appearing to be innocent and Wide-Eyed, rather than appearing Tough: Even though she uses her meek appearance as an advantage to take people by surprise, Irina would prefer to look a little more intimidating. What use is being smart and strong if nobody will take you seriously, anyway? Irina feels that she is not trusted with adult issues because she looks too young.
- Stravinsky: While not a musician herself, Irina enjoys listening to music. However, this composer’s chaotic and often haunting melodies are jarring and unpleasant to Irina. She feels that music should we more orderly than his compositions are. His melodies do not dance; they stomp. The dissonance in his chords put her on edge, making her feel unfocused. She understands that the discord in his music must have been inspired from his experience in the dark, violent time of the Russian Revolution and being essentially exiled to Switzerland, but that doesn’t mean she wants to experience these feelings alongside him. Irina also hates the sound of the oboe, which she describes as “whiney.”
Likes: [Create a list below.] 5 minimum
- Vodka: Irina learned to love strong drink as a little girl, when her older brothers thought it was hilarious to see how many shots they could give her without their mother noticing. Her mother did not approve of her drinking until she was at least sixteen, but her father occasionally slipped her a shot and a wink when he was home on leave from the military, proud that she could tolerate it. As a kid, Irina enjoyed drinking because it made her feel “grown up,” and now, at barely eighteen, she feels the same way. When she needs to relax on the weekend, she very much enjoys drinking men twice her size under the table.
- Russia: Irina is thoroughly proud of her home country and people. She loves the patriotism and proudness of her people, and respects her neighbors’ optimistic attitudes even when faced with challenges. Life wasn’t always easy in her homeland, especially in Babushka’s generation, but Irina loves the way the people band together to accomplish what must be done.
- Cold Weather: Some people like to cuddle somewhere warm in the winter, but not Irina. The biting of cold air makes her feel alive an invigorated. She feels that cold temperatures are best for helping her focus, and believes it is advantageous to physically train in the cold because one must learn to be maximally efficient to conserve energy while still maintaining body heat. Cold temperatures keep Irina mentally sharp, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
- Math: Irina likes how Math is straightforward and consistent. As long as you follow the right rules in math, the answer will be easy to predict, just like 1+1 will always equal 2. Components of math can be very challenging, and she enjoys rising to the challenge to work out a difficult problem or come up with a unique solution to the situation.
- Taking Care of her Family: Her family means everything to Irina. She loves them dearly, and though she knows that they can take care of themselves, she likes being there firsthand to see that they’re ok. She doesn’t like being far from them, which makes it hard for her to be in Japan. She learned from her family’s history that it is best to stick together; even her brothers who picked on her at home kept a careful eye on her at school to keep her safe. She feels good when she can return the favor and protect them.
- Teamwork: Irina does not like to work alone because she craves social interaction. Working with other people is intellectually stimulating for her in ways that she can’t achieve on her own. She’s working on reading people better so she can be a better leader and a better team player, but she hasn’t really gotten the hang of it yet. So, she talks a lot and asks a lot of questions about what people are thinking and how they are feeling.
- Tchaikovsky: As a very young girl, Irina fell deeply in love with the composer’s expressive melodies and intricately woven composition. His sometimes-playful melodies help her relax, helping her become more focused and able to accomplish the things she needs to do. A composer with a challenging personal life like Stravinsky, Tchaikovsky managed to still make music that sang with freedom and beauty. At age six, Irina attended “The Sleeping Beauty” ballet with her father, and was mesmerized by the way the violins and clarinets seemed to sing.
- Being Taken Seriously: As the youngest in her family, Irina was left to do her own thing more than her older brothers. Her parents were always very strict with the older brother and always complained that the middle brother wasn’t achieving as much as the older one. They gave up with their third child, and tended to treat Irina as an adult, just letting what she wanted and suffer the resulting consequences. As an engineering student, Irina is in a small minority of females in her major, so she feels like she always needs to prove herself to her teachers and fellow students by doing as well as the males in her class, even though she has a lot on her plate. Otherwise, she won’t be taken seriously as a female engineer. This expands to her feelings in the office and in life in general.
Flaws: [Create a list below.] 4 minimum
- Strong Aversion to Physical Touch and Intimacy: Growing up in the home of a Soviet officer who valued discipline and efficiency over emotional dependency, Irina never learned to express her affection through physical touch. Concepts such as “snuggling” and “hugs” are foreign to her, and she feels compelled to keep people at arms’ length rather than let them inside her personal bubble. People who violate this bubble will find her untrusting, flustered, and potentially even violent.
- Not afraid to speak her mind, even when it’s not the right time or place: If Irina hears something that she does not particularly like, she feels the need to express her opinion. Even if she wasn’t a part of that conversation, or even if it was random strangers talking. She might be able to get away with this is she was friendlier to people she didn’t know well, but she comes across as abrasive and condescending.
- Poor Time Management Skills: Irina has the awful habit of overbooking herself, thinking that she has the ability to get more done than she physically can. As discussed in her habit of her regular schedule, she is pretty much booked from morning to night, so any additions to her inflexible schedule just crams too much into a short period of time. This tends to lead to alienated friends and family who never seem to be able to get a good chunk of her precious time. This was not always the case, but is definitely an issue now that she has crammed her schedule so full with work and college classes.
- Poor people-sense: Irina is extremely calculating, and can figure out anything she needs to in her classes, with enough work. She is mechanically-minded and great at figuring out machines work, however, she is terrible at figuring out what other people are thinking or feeling. She is not an introvert; she likes to interact with people and work with them, but she sometimes needs things that are implied for most people to be spelled-out for her. Irina would love to be the kind of person who can help someone who is grieving or having a personally tough time, but she doesn’t quite know how to wrap her head around peoples’ feelings. She is aware of this flaw, and is trying to work on being more intuitive.
- Uncomfortable with “Strangers”: While most people define Strangers as people who you don’t know at all, Irina has a much broader definition of the term. Irina is uncomfortable with anyone who she does not know very well. She is uncomfortable with acquaintances, strangers, new coworkers, unfamiliar coworkers: really anyone who she has not spent a lot of time getting to know. This may have to do with her poor people sense; she doesn’t know what to expect from people that she doesn’t know well, so that puts her on edge and makes her appear cold and uncaring when actually, she is just trying to calculate the motives and character of the other person.
Habits: [Create a list below.] 3 minimum
- Turning the thermostat down in the office: Irina does not understand how anyone can work in a warm, stuffy office. As a courtesy to others, she turns the thermostat down just a little, helping herself and others think more clearly. She finds it odd when people turn it back up; do they want to get work done, or take a nap?
- Very regulated schedule: Irina likes to get up early, about 6 am, to have her early morning workout before school. Her workout is relatively light, consisting of pushups and sit ups in her room as well as a light bit of cardio. She makes her breakfast of a poached egg and fruit, before heading to her engineering classes from 8-2. At 2 she goes for a half hour run, aiming for five six-minute miles each session. She makes it to work by 3, every day, and stays until 6. On the weekends she does all of these things, minus school, except she goes to work from 8-4. On weekday evenings, she then goes home to eat a healthy dinner (see below), then studies and does homework before being in bed by 10.
- Eats healthy: Irina nearly always prepares her food herself rather than going out to eat, because she likes to know exactly what she’s eating. Each Sunday she grocery shops after work. She likes to balance whole grains with vegetables, fruits, and plenty of protein to keep her sharp for her demanding schedule. Irina prefers fresh food over processed food. She sees food as something to fuel her body, not something to indulge in.
- Taking things apart and putting them back together: While Irina’s dad was away when she was younger, she decided that she would take it upon herself to keep up with the maintenance around the house. While her mother would have been perfectly happy to call a handy man to repair things like a dishwasher, Irina saw it as an exciting challenge and mental puzzle. She loves to figure out how things work and how to improve them. Unfortunately, she tends to do this at inopportune times, just to see how things work, like when the dishes need done but the dishwasher is already on the floor in a hundred parts. Irina’s granddad was a mechanic in the military after he was injured, and he encouraged this behavior by teaching her to tinker in his garage at a young age.
Fears: [Create a list below.] No minimum
- Getting married: Why would anyone want to give up their independence and decide to intertwine your fate with that of another person? Given her very regimented lifestyle, Irina doesn’t think that someone else would fit well in her day to day routine, not to mention her entire future. Having watcher her parents be very committed to each other, she can’t imagine giving up so much to have that significant commitment to someone else.
- Failing her home country: Disgracing China, but with Russia. Irina is very proud of where she comes from and her culture. She believes that her people are hardworking, brave, and perseverant. To make them look bad (especially given that she lives in Japan currently) would bring great shame to her family and to her conscience.
- The death of her family: While not afraid of death herself, she’s particularly attached to her family. Even though she’s far away from them right now, she can’t imagine being apart from them forever.
- Snuggles: Eww, they’re warm. Scarily warm.
Goals: [Create a list below.] No minimum
- Get an excellent education in order to bring back knowledge to benefit Russia
- Grow strong enough to protect herself and her loved ones
Alignment: [Lawful Neutral]
Overall Personality: [Insert Here] 4 paragraphs minimum

-Powers-
Fighting Style: [Insert Here] 3 paragraphs minimum
Main Fullbring Appearances: [Insert Here]
Sealed: Irina’s Sealed fullbring takes the form of an heirloom of her family.

-History-
Birthplace: [Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic, Russia]
