(Training for TTP)
Moving throughout the wilderness the massive otter beast tried the best that he could to conceal his location. At the moment he was a decent distance away from the cave that he had his mate Zahra had been able to settle down in and call their own. So far that was all that cave actually was along with being a safe heaven for the both of them. There had been no beast nor any of the furless that had been able to find their cave and even if they did they didn't actively attack it to get to them which was good for the both of them.
At the moment though he wasn't there. It had only been a few days ago that Qaletaqa and Zahra had decided that the two of them should spar against one another in order to see how each of them was progressing and who was a actually the strongest between them. Qaletaqa was surprised during that battle to find that his mate had improved vastly more than he had from their first encounter. When they had first met he had been able to dominate her rather easily and now it was almost the opposite. That as why he was out here now in the grass fields of the wilderness.
He had been in a fair amount of battles in the last bit of time and all of them had ended rather badly for him. There had been one thing in common between all of them though that in all honestly hurt his pride as a beast. Anyone that he fought tended to be faster than himself. It hadn't been normally in terms of raw speed though. At least from what he could tell against most of them Qaletaqa had still be the faster. However, they had been able to somehow increase their speed to the point that he couldn't keep up and actually lost track of them.
For one reason or another they had this kind of ability and Qaletaqa couldn't figure it out. That's the real reason he was out here in order to train to become strong enough that he wouldn't need to know it. He was done losing to others. In order to take back the land that the furless had stolen from the beasts and prevent the white faced creatures from killing any other innocent creatures Qaletaqa would need to be faster and stronger. He stood up in the grass and began to sprint through the field as fast as he could.
3 Hours Later
Standing there panting rapidly was the large otter after training himself for the last few hours. Sweat leaking from his paws as he struggled to keep his tongue in his mouth. Most of his stamina was gone now and he couldn't really tell whether or not he was just wasting his time or if he was making even the slightest bit of progress. That being said he was too tired to realize that someone had been watching him and now he wasn't alone. "Big mammalwhatyoutryingtodo. . . dropdead?" came a strange voice.
Qaletaqa immediately turned around to find nothing there. There was no question about it though. He had heard someone speak just now so why now was there suddenly no one in his line of vision. It took him a moment to come to a conclusion and when he did it was fairly obvious. His gaze was directed lower and standing there was what appeared to be some sort of small mammal beast. It was without a doubt smaller than him as the thing only reached up to just past his knees. However, the way that it had spoke seemed to say that it had a high opinion of itself.
Qaletaqa was starring down at it while it returned his gaze upwards at him. "I out here. Get stronger. Me have no other way." he said to the small beats that was in front of him. He was getting his breathing under control now that he was actually no longer running and had a moment or two to inhale fresh oxygen at a leisurely pace. "Get faster? Thatwhatyoutry?" asked the small beast while not really asking more like simply stating what he assumed after witnessing how Qaletaqa had been training. In that next moment though the small thing was gone.
It vanished before his very eyes which then grew in size from the shock of witnessing what had just happened. Qaletaqa had seen this before yet only from the furless. That begged the question on how this beast was able to do it. "Me helpyoubigbeast. Meteachyouhowtomovesuper fast!" the beast said moving around on the ground and speaking so fast that Qaletaqa was having a difficult time processing it all. However, it got through to him that this other beast seemed to know how the furless were able to move themselves so fast and was going to teach him how to do it too.
Qaletaqa didn't like the idea that he would have to learn some type of thing that the furless had made in order for him to fight them. That hadn't been his plan. He had planned on developing naturally and beating them all with his body. However, that hadn't been working out all that well and he had started to see a common connection between those that he fought. All of them used some strange light to make themselves stronger. It was like how his fur glowed when he used all his power. So maybe he would have to change just a bit in order to take down all the furless.
Qaletaqa nodded his head to the other beast signaling that he was on board with learning how to make himself go faster. The smaller beast seemed to just vibrate with excitement. "Thinkbouthowyouuseall power. Feelingwhenithappening. Yougottodothattobottompaws. Thenyourush. Itmakeyougo ALOTS FASTER." he said as he then disappeared again utilizing shunpo again. The beast was simply so hyper that Qaletaqa wasn't sure if he had actually heard him right or if he had missed something.
He wasn't even completely sure on how to use his energy. So how was he supposed to do this. Well in fact it had taken him much longer than the majority of furless. Qaletaqa was out there for three whole days until he actually learned how to use his reiatsu at will. It had been frustrating and at times he had started to think that the other beast was simply playing a joke on him. However, by the end of those three days he was able to do so much more than he had been upon finding the other beast.
"Nownownow show me what you do." spoke the small beast now to Qaletaqa. The otter mammal did as he was asked now that he had finished his training under the smaller beast. The beast had been more than helpful with teaching him how to do what the furless did. He had actually shown and taught him something that he had never seen any of the furless do, but knew that it would help him defeat them easily. Now though he flowed his reiatsu into the bottom of his paws and executed shunpo moving behind the smaller mammal in a blink.
Then flowing more reiatsu into his paws he executed another shunpo appearing roughly ten feet in front of the other mammal. Now though he was standing there looking at the other mammal as he focused on his right arm. Qaletaqa flowed his reiatsu throughout his arm concentrating the best that he could to try and do what he had been practicing so hard to achieve. He wasn't just doing this to stop the furless. He had to learn all of this to protect Zahra and that was something he couldn't fail at. So in that next moment his right arm moved as a blur just as he had.
