Qaletaqa is a large otter anthro beast that is obviously not human in anyway. His eyes have golden irises with black slanted pupils like that of a lizard. His eyebrows are one of the very few things that clash against the black fur of his body which covers almost the entire outer side of his body. Along with the eyebrows and ears having a white color only the markings differ from the black fur.
The markings that spread across Qaletaqa's fur are unknown by any society in existence yet the closest thing that can be compared to them are war paint from Native America culture. These markings are located behind Qaletaqa's eyes on the outside of his upper arms down to his elbows and along his tail. Qaletaqa has 3 whiskers that extend from behind his eyebrows and six from above his mouth on each side.
His snout is a dark brown that might actually be hard to tell the difference between it and the black fur right above. His fur is very think yet short and somewhat ragged. One thing that some would link to a more human aspect is the fact that Qaletaqa has a thick long Mohawk style of hair in the area that a human would that matches the color of his fur being black. The length of his hair actually moves to the end of his neck making the style much longer.
On his upper back right below his hair and in between his shoulder blades are a layer of spiked barbs that seem to originate from his skin. The barbs are the same shade of blade as his fur making it difficult to tell that they are actually barbs. Towards the end of each barb there is a small think line of marking that matches the rest on his body. There are about a dozen barbs total in the small area. Qaletaqa's paw's are carbon red like color while his claws are dark grey.
Finally onto Qaletaqa's attire. It may be small, but what can someone expect a beast to wear. The clothing that covers Qaletaqa's body is limited to a pair of torn tan shorts that stop right above his knees. Other than that Qaletaqa wears several golden items on his body. He wears golden forearm guards that have two lines of the same shade of teal as his markings that go across them. He wears golden arm bands that are located over his biceps. He also wears a matching pair of shin guards to the forearm guards that cover most of his shins. Keeping his shorts from falling from his body is a golden belt that has teal markings on the buckle. Finally Qaletaqa has three golden rings that are located on his tail.

However, at the same time Qaletaqa is not above utilizing his more animalistic characteristics due to the fact he is willing to whip a foe with his tail or bite a foe nearly anywhere.
One thing that Qaletaqa almost always does to a foe is Intimidation in hopes that the foe will simply be consumed by fear and walk away. However, when he is on the attack Qaletaqa is just as frightening normally even howling like a lion while in the midst of combat. He normally fights with swinging attacks and rarely ever strikes forward with his hands closed like a human. One thing that should be noted is that Qaletaqa's claws are the biggest weapon he utilizes in battle.
When faced off against a foe that fights in a method of distance Qaletaqa will utilize his incredible speed, acrobatics and evasive knowledge to avoid harm. While he continues to do this Qaletaqa rushed the foe turning the tables against them by forcing them to fight him in close combat. When faced off against foes that actually possess greater levels of speed and strength he actually begins to utilize the techniques that he acquires.
When a battle ensues in a small location such as a building or hallway Qaletaqa results to his Yaseishin known as Shift. When he does this Qaletaqa will shift between the smaller form and his natural form to maneuver through the small space in a far more effective manner. This will normally cause foes to become confused and struggle to keep focus on Qaletaqa. It also provides Qaletaqa with the perfect scenario to execute attacks that would be incredibly difficult to evade. This method can actually turn a small space into an area that nearly no one can defeat Qaletaqa.
In scenarios that lead to allies harm Qaletaqa will often struggle to contain his rage and normally will not succeed leading him to unleash his true strength against these foes. When this happens Qaletaqa will have no problem going against his belief that life should not be taken lightly and will shift into his Monstrous form to kill these foes. He will even resort to shift between all of his forms in a manner that most will declare impossible while ripping limbs from foes leaving nothing, but mangled bodies and his own covered in fallen blood.
Yaseishin Name Shift
Yaseishin Appearance: Qaletaqa's Yaseishin only gives off a small very easily overlooked change to his actual appearance. While he actives his Yaseishin the teal markings on his fur actually begin to glow bright. Other then that small difference in detail nothing else changes until his body shifts into one of the two different forms stated below.
Small Form: This form is one that is very tiny only being 3'3" in size. The length of tail is 3" long while ranging from thick at the base to thin at the end just as one would expect. In this form Qaletaqa loses some of his normal appearance due to him changing into what many would assume to be a younger version of his actual body. In all actuality though in this form Qaletaqa has the body of a normal otter aside from the markings of his body and a single golden brace towards the end of his tail. The whiskers for some reason stay the same length though making them appear to be much to large for such a small animal.
Monstrous Form: The form of Qaletaqa that the beast himself fights off for the safety of all others. This form is one that Qaletaqa almost never wants to use in combat due to his past. In this form Qaletaqa grows immensely becoming 15'8" tall while weighting a single ton. All aspects of his appearance in this form pretty much stay the same while growing in size and appearing much more feral. His tail is a total of 10" in length while being 3" at the base while it descends to a point. It should be stated that while in his form Qaletaqa's body is mainly muscle. 
Yaseishin Overall Ability:
The ability of Shift is one that allows Qaletaqa to change the size of his actual body. This means that he is able to manipulate himself into a smaller stature or larger one depending on his choice. Regardless of which form Qaletaqa chooses to shift various things about him change. The things that change should be obvious, but as an example if he chose to shift into the smaller form his strength is decreased simply because of his size while the opposite takes place if he chooses to go into the larger form.
To be more specific when Qaletaqa shifts into the small form he is much more agile and able to move freely due to his small stature. While in the smaller form Qaletaqa gains an additional 1 point in the skills Acrobatics and Damage Recovery. Now on to his monstrous form which like one would hopefully assume increases his brute force far greater due to his size. This form is one that truly causes Qaletaqa to gain an incredible degree of power in a physical aspect due to the fact that Qaletaqa gains an additional 1 point in the skills Intimidation and Pain Tolerance. However, while it comes with incredible power it's downfall is the fact that Qaletaqa becomes a much larger target making him even less suited to deal with multiple foes or long ranged combat. This ability however can't cause a skill in any of the listed skill to go from a 3 to a 4 in level.
One thing that is definitely something to take note of is the fact that the smaller form doesn't require any reiatsu to shift into or back from into the natural size. It requires less then a full second to actually shift from these forms which aids Qaletaqa greatly in many aspects of combat. Moving on to the Monstrous form which doesn't require any addition reiatsu either just the time difference to shift. Although that cost allows the beast to take on this form at any moment he chooses for the following 2 posts with no additional payment. The time that it takes to shift into this form is around 3 seconds due to the actual size difference. It should be stated that Qaletaqa is able to shift from the small form into the Monstrous however if this is done it takes around 5 seconds and is far more stamina taxing then simply shifting through the forms by size difference.

Yaseishin Techniques:
Shift(Class 6)- The basis of all of Qaletaqa's power is link to this single ability. This ability is what allows him to manipulate his body into the two different forms stated in his overall abilities theme. When he shifts into his small form he gains 1 Skill point in both Acrobatics and Damage Recovery. When in his monstrous form he gains 1 skill point in both Pain Tolerance and Intimidation.
Focus(Class 5)- This technique is one that works off Qaletaqa's ability to shift the size of his body. The purpose of this technique however is to shift a single limb or section of Qaletaqa's body for a short amount of time. This technique allows Qaletaqa to choose between increasing the size of his limbs to that of his monstrous form or shrink them to the same degree as his smaller form. The shift requires less than half a second making it nearly impossible to stop from actually working. Once the limb has been altered to Qaletaqa's liking it will stay until the following post or if he so wishes it to revert back to normal. This shift requires Qaletaqa channel his reiatsu into the section of his body that will receive the alteration. The technique can last anywhere from a few moments to 2 full posts depending on Qaletaqa. Any limb that has been shifted gains the boosts of the form they shift into.

History:
Qaletaqa's life in the mortal realm began during the 18th century of the human race. The entity was born into a Native American tribe as the first son of the tribe's best hunter. Over his earlier years of life Qaletaqa sought the attention of his father and the other warriors of the tribe. When he was little Qaletaqa wished to be just like his father and the others leading him to often imitate the actions he would hear his father do when out hunting. Until he was six years old this continued and was approved of while he learned what was taught by the elder of the tribe and his parents.
At the age of six however Qaletaqa and his tribe were blessed with the arrival of his younger brother. It was at that point that Qaletaqa began to take things far more seriously and truly pay attention to the words of wisdom that were spoken by his tribe. He began to hunt with his father and learn about the land and all of the inhabitants of it not just his tribe, but the animals as well. Qaletaqa began to shift into a symbol of pride for the tribe as he grew becoming the best hunter and one of the best warriors within the tribe by the age of thirteen.
While he may have been much younger than the other males in his tribe Qaletaqa had employed his own creativity into traps and hunting maneuvers that others hadn't attempted in the past that only led in success. This drove him to gain the attention of all the tribe especially his little brother who early on only sought to gain the approval/attention of his Qaletaqa. The following year when Qaletaqa's brother reached eight Qaletaqa was tasked with teaching him the lessons that his father had past on to him.
Qaletaqa had done this in what many saw as a successful outcome however his younger brother never believed that he had reached the same elevation as Qaletaqa and as such sought after bigger things. This led his little brother at the age of twelve when Qaletaqa was eighteen to attempt trapping and taking down a grizzly bear by himself. This only resulted in his young brother failing in his endeavor and dying to the grizzly. That night Qaletaqa had found his brother's dead body and in rage hunted down the beast.
Qaletaqa in the fog of anger and sorrow tracked down the grizzly and killed the beast while it slept. That however was a major failure on the young Native's part due to the fact that the grizzly he had killed was only the cub of a much larger grizzle mother. The mother made quick work of Qaletaqa that resulted in the boy dying with only the image of his brothers look of death in his mind.
The next thing Qaletaqa knew he was waking up in the wilderness way out from Soul Society. It seemed that he had been cursed for his recklessness and failure to his younger brother even in the after life. Over the next five years Qaletaqa wondered around the wilderness attempting to find other people while finding food to survive. He eventually came to the outskirts of the Rukongai District 50 where he was happy to find people.
Those people were not so happy to see him however calling him a monster and freak chasing him out of the town. Qaletaqa had been forced away from the people and with it his hopes of living together with others were gone. However, just as he left the village he blacked out only to reawaken surrounded by dozens of half eaten bodies of the villagers. His body was covered in blood and his memory blank about what could have happened.
Qaletaqa left that village promising himself that he wouldn't return there until he figured out what had happened. Over the next thirty years Qaletaqa had continued to live on his own while occasionally meeting up with other beast-clan spirits and learning about what he actually was in this new realm. Qaletaqa continued to learn about the culture of the beast-clan and how it compared to his actual life as a human without realizing it he had linked the two together.
As the years went on Qaletaqa continued to lose control of himself and ended up killing hundreds of spirits some hollow, normal spirits and even other beast-clan. One day though he had made the first difference that could be compared to his life as a human. It had been a normal day though he smelled a large number of wolves in an area nearby. Going against his new judgment Qaletaqa went towards the wolves in order to gauge what was going on. Finding out that they were going to kill what he assumed to be some type of dog by outnumbering it Qaletaqa rushed the wolves in anger and beat them all down. Turning to look at the other beast-clan Qaletaqa realized it was a female and although he wished to stay and help her went with his knowledge and fear of himself and ran off to isolation.
From that day on Qaletaqa had tried to do as much good as he could in a short amount of time. He had realized that he tended to lose control of his mind when near others which he only grew to hate about himself. The beast hunted and stayed true to his beliefs eating what he wished and taking the rest of whatever he killed with him. He would normally get close to the Rukongai Districts and leave the skin and fur of the animals by locations he had seen children occupying in hopes to help them.
Now it seems though that Qaletaqa has come to the decision that he need to make a difference for himself and other Beast-clan spirits. The Shinigami have taken to much from the beasts of the spirit world and enforce to much judgment upon them when it's no their place to do such a thing. He will be the one to make a difference against the Shinigami even if he has to fight them alone.

In this form Qaletaqa loses some of his normal appearance due to him changing into what many would assume to be a younger version of his actual body. In all actuality though in this form Qaletaqa has the body of a normal otter aside from the markings of his body and a single golden brace towards the end of his tail. The whiskers for some reason stay the same length though making them appear to be much to large for such a small animal.
The ability of Shift is one that allows Qaletaqa to change the size of his actual body. This means that he is able to manipulate himself into a smaller stature or larger one depending on his choice. Regardless of which form Qaletaqa chooses to shift various things about him change. The things that change should be obvious, but as an example if he chose to shift into the smaller form his strength is decreased simply because of his size while the opposite takes place if he chooses to go into the larger form.
To be more specific when Qaletaqa shifts into the small form he is much more agile and able to move freely due to his small stature. While in the smaller form Qaletaqa gains an additional 1 point in the skills Acrobatics and Damage Recovery. Now on to his monstrous form which like one would hopefully assume increases his brute force far greater due to his size. This form is one that truly causes Qaletaqa to gain an incredible degree of power in a physical aspect due to the fact that Qaletaqa gains an additional 1 point in the skills Intimidation and Pain Tolerance. However, while it comes with incredible power it's downfall is the fact that Qaletaqa becomes a much larger target making him even less suited to deal with multiple foes or long ranged combat. This ability however can't cause a skill in any of the listed skill to go from a 3 to a 4 in level.
One thing that is definitely something to take note of is the fact that the smaller form doesn't require any reiatsu to shift into or back from into the natural size. It requires less then a full second to actually shift from these forms which aids Qaletaqa greatly in many aspects of combat. Moving on to the Monstrous form which doesn't require any addition reiatsu either just the time difference to shift. Although that cost allows the beast to take on this form at any moment he chooses for the following 2 posts with no additional payment. The time that it takes to shift into this form is around 3 seconds due to the actual size difference. It should be stated that Qaletaqa is able to shift from the small form into the Monstrous however if this is done it takes around 5 seconds and is far more stamina taxing then simply shifting through the forms by size difference.

Yaseishin Techniques:
Shift(Class 6)- The basis of all of Qaletaqa's power is link to this single ability. This ability is what allows him to manipulate his body into the two different forms stated in his overall abilities theme. When he shifts into his small form he gains 1 Skill point in both Acrobatics and Damage Recovery. When in his monstrous form he gains 1 skill point in both Pain Tolerance and Intimidation.
Focus(Class 5)- This technique is one that works off Qaletaqa's ability to shift the size of his body. The purpose of this technique however is to shift a single limb or section of Qaletaqa's body for a short amount of time. This technique allows Qaletaqa to choose between increasing the size of his limbs to that of his monstrous form or shrink them to the same degree as his smaller form. The shift requires less than half a second making it nearly impossible to stop from actually working. Once the limb has been altered to Qaletaqa's liking it will stay until the following post or if he so wishes it to revert back to normal. This shift requires Qaletaqa channel his reiatsu into the section of his body that will receive the alteration. The technique can last anywhere from a few moments to 2 full posts depending on Qaletaqa. Any limb that has been shifted gains the boosts of the form they shift into.

Technique Description and Effects: Osen is not a technique is the technical sense. The ability called Osen is, for all intents and purposes, a curse. Qaletaqa did not train to acquire Osen, he did not intentionally create it either. Osen is the result of reiatsu inducing a chemical release to Qaletaqa's brain which causes him to lose control. What this means is that when Osen activates, Qaletaqa loses control of his thoughts and actions. He becomes a true beast that will attack anything and everything around it with rage and hunger. This is not a power that Qaletaqa can activate of his own accord, needing separate reiatsu stimuli for it to activate. As Qaletaqa increases in power (Class Up) so to does the power of this curse.
This Osen requires that a random dice roll is made every post that Qaletaqa is within a mile of a different reiatsu source. What type of number the dice roll results in will either cause Qaletaqa to go berserk or remain in control of his body. The dice roll is done on a 10 sided dice. If the dice lands on a odd number than Qaletaqa remains in control while if it lands on an even number the reverse happens. Once he goes berserk he can only regain control after the time span has finished. That doesn't however keep it from happening over again.

History:
Qaletaqa's life in the mortal realm began during the 18th century of the human race. The entity was born into a Native American tribe as the first son of the tribe's best hunter. Over his earlier years of life Qaletaqa sought the attention of his father and the other warriors of the tribe. When he was little Qaletaqa wished to be just like his father and the others leading him to often imitate the actions he would hear his father do when out hunting. Until he was six years old this continued and was approved of while he learned what was taught by the elder of the tribe and his parents.
At the age of six however Qaletaqa and his tribe were blessed with the arrival of his younger brother. It was at that point that Qaletaqa began to take things far more seriously and truly pay attention to the words of wisdom that were spoken by his tribe. He began to hunt with his father and learn about the land and all of the inhabitants of it not just his tribe, but the animals as well. Qaletaqa began to shift into a symbol of pride for the tribe as he grew becoming the best hunter and one of the best warriors within the tribe by the age of thirteen.
While he may have been much younger than the other males in his tribe Qaletaqa had employed his own creativity into traps and hunting maneuvers that others hadn't attempted in the past that only led in success. This drove him to gain the attention of all the tribe especially his little brother who early on only sought to gain the approval/attention of his Qaletaqa. The following year when Qaletaqa's brother reached eight Qaletaqa was tasked with teaching him the lessons that his father had past on to him.
Qaletaqa had done this in what many saw as a successful outcome however his younger brother never believed that he had reached the same elevation as Qaletaqa and as such sought after bigger things. This led his little brother at the age of twelve when Qaletaqa was eighteen to attempt trapping and taking down a grizzly bear by himself. This only resulted in his young brother failing in his endeavor and dying to the grizzly. That night Qaletaqa had found his brother's dead body and in rage hunted down the beast.
Qaletaqa in the fog of anger and sorrow tracked down the grizzly and killed the beast while it slept. That however was a major failure on the young Native's part due to the fact that the grizzly he had killed was only the cub of a much larger grizzle mother. The mother made quick work of Qaletaqa that resulted in the boy dying with only the image of his brothers look of death in his mind.
The next thing Qaletaqa knew he was waking up in the wilderness way out from Soul Society. It seemed that he had been cursed for his recklessness and failure to his younger brother even in the after life. Over the next five years Qaletaqa wondered around the wilderness attempting to find other people while finding food to survive. He eventually came to the outskirts of the Rukongai District 50 where he was happy to find people.
Those people were not so happy to see him however calling him a monster and freak chasing him out of the town. Qaletaqa had been forced away from the people and with it his hopes of living together with others were gone. However, just as he left the village he blacked out only to reawaken surrounded by dozens of half eaten bodies of the villagers. His body was covered in blood and his memory blank about what could have happened.
Qaletaqa left that village promising himself that he wouldn't return there until he figured out what had happened. Over the next thirty years Qaletaqa had continued to live on his own while occasionally meeting up with other beast-clan spirits and learning about what he actually was in this new realm. Qaletaqa continued to learn about the culture of the beast-clan and how it compared to his actual life as a human without realizing it he had linked the two together.
As the years went on Qaletaqa continued to lose control of himself and ended up killing hundreds of spirits some hollow, normal spirits and even other beast-clan. One day though he had made the first difference that could be compared to his life as a human. It had been a normal day though he smelled a large number of wolves in an area nearby. Going against his new judgment Qaletaqa went towards the wolves in order to gauge what was going on. Finding out that they were going to kill what he assumed to be some type of dog by outnumbering it Qaletaqa rushed the wolves in anger and beat them all down. Turning to look at the other beast-clan Qaletaqa realized it was a female and although he wished to stay and help her went with his knowledge and fear of himself and ran off to isolation.
From that day on Qaletaqa had tried to do as much good as he could in a short amount of time. He had realized that he tended to lose control of his mind when near others which he only grew to hate about himself. The beast hunted and stayed true to his beliefs eating what he wished and taking the rest of whatever he killed with him. He would normally get close to the Rukongai Districts and leave the skin and fur of the animals by locations he had seen children occupying in hopes to help them.
Now it seems though that Qaletaqa has come to the decision that he need to make a difference for himself and other Beast-clan spirits. The Shinigami have taken to much from the beasts of the spirit world and enforce to much judgment upon them when it's no their place to do such a thing. He will be the one to make a difference against the Shinigami even if he has to fight them alone.
