Vesta listened intently on what these Russians were saying. Since this was the first mission that she was undertaking for this company, called UE for short, she wanted to make a good impression. Since the boss wasn't around for this, it seemed that Takara was the highest ranked person on this mission. Because of that, she wanted to stick close to her.
She could fight, and even though she knew the basics of the mission, Takara would know more about how UE would handle situations and Vesta didn't want to act outside of what is expected of a UE employee would do. She looked towards the faces of the Russians, trying to see if they showed anything on their faces. She didn't see anything at all on them, so they had pretty good poker faces.
Then, the translator spoke, saying that they needed to talk details, but gave them a chance to comment on anything else that they wished to on the items before them. They then mentioned Wayne Enterprises. It was obviously a competing company that she had never heard of before, but they wanted to know why their products would be better than the Wayne ones?
Without Vesta realizing it, Takara had grabbed one of the vests, threw it in the air and shot at it. Vesta's eyes widened slightly at what she was doing. It wasn't until it was over and she walked towards the vest that she realized what she had done. She was showing them how the vest actually worked in real time, which was a smart move. Takara made a nice speech and Vesta waited for a response.
Jak stopped when he saw three boys appear from behind the trees. He was confident in his sensory abilities to get a general idea of what he was up against. From what he was sensing, all three of them were just ordinary boys. Well street punks more like it, he thought with a slight smile. Judging by the way the three boys were dressed, it seemed like they were just that street punks. Nothing special, most likely affected by whatever was going on around here. Either that or they were the type that were more likely to try and take advantage of the short handed police force. Right now, that did not matter to Jak. The only thing that mattered now was that they appeared they wanted to fight.
"Ваша рука безобразная. Вы с Пожирателей?" Jak cocked his head to the side with a confused look on his face. He could not understand them of course, but there was something that he could understand. He understood that they meant to harm him. Other wise they would not come armed with bicycle chains. There was something that caught his eye. Each of them had an identical gold chain necklace with an emerald set in it. He could only assume that the three stole the set during the confusion. Well Jak might as well take them back to the police station with or without the teens depending on his mood at the end of the fight. But first, the fight itself.
Jak wasn't sure if they would be able to understand him, but he figured that he might as well try to warm them. "I don't know if you understand me, but if you want to go through with this, then don't expect me to go easy on the three of you." He looked at each of them in turn. "I will let yall decide how yall want to fight me, but I would suggest you all three," He pointed to each of them. "...come at me at the same time. Just to be a little more fair." He was being a little cocky, but he figured that he could handle three ordinary humans with little difficulty. He got into a comfortable fighting stance shifting his own thicker, heavier chain down to his fist. "Ladies first." He said motioning for them to come to him.

Takara's move was bold, impressive, and unexpected. The three police officers had been a bit ruffled up by the sudden gunshots, but they calmed themselves quickly enough. After all, they wouldn't be good law enforcement if they couldn't keep it together under pressure. The three of them exchanged glances, then the one sitting in the middle gestured for them to leave. She was obviously the one in charge. She didn't speak any Japanese, but Takara apparently spoke Russian just fine so the officer felt comfortable being alone in the room to discuss business. In Russian, of course, so if Vesta didn't speak the language she'd have to get translation from Takara.
"Very convincing. It does well under fire... But... How would it stand up against Ghosts?"
The woman offered no other explanation for her question. She was either a very new Fullbringer who didn't know what Hollows were, or she was talking about something that was different from a Hollow. Takara or Vesta could try and ask more questions, or they could offer up more demonstrations, or they could do whatever they wanted. But for the moment, the woman wasn't budging. She would offer no more explanation for what she meant by ghosts until prompted to by one of the Uzaki Enterprise Agents' words or actions.
Meanwhile, Jak had confused and angered the three teens. They didn't speak any language except Russian, but they could understand his aggressive body language. They saw the chains wrapped around his fist, saw the "come here" motions, looked at each other, and then charged. They ran at average speeds, for teens, charging at the Nakkabakki and throwing wild punches with their chain wrapped fists. They didn't have any noteworthy skills, it seemed, except youthful stamina and some sort of anger that went beyond this little scuffle. Jak could probably easily wipe the floor with them. But how would he do it?

Takara saw the looks of shock across the faces of the two male cops that were in the room with her. It seemed that she had surprised Vesta as well with the demonstration of how durable the armor actually was. However, it seemed that the boss in charge wanted to speak with Takara by herself. Takara waited for the two men to get out of the room and then met the female's gaze with one of her own. This was a business meeting and nothing else and so far the Russians had not being taking it seriously or showing respect.
The display of how well the armor was actually able to withstand the bullets didn't seem to be enough as the female officer spoke to Takara directly now in Russian. The way that she asked her question though meant that she was either playing with Takara trying to figure out what she knew about the spiritual world or simply that this officer knew very little. "The armor has a special battery inside of it that will grand you and any of your officers with a temporary defense that will help you against the abilities of ghosts. If you or any of your men have any spiritual power themselves though. The armor will be more powerful allowing you to survive longer."

After Takara spoke, the woman seemed to just sit there, trying to decide on what to do. Vesta was surprised that the woman had then wanted the police officers to leave. Wouldn't they know best on how to outfit the police force being police officers themselves? She was a little confused, but she didn't want to judge anything until the woman spoke. She did so once the other two had left the room.
The woman immediately started to speak, but it was in a different language. Vesta had no idea what the woman was saying. So, Vesta just stared at the woman, having no idea what she was saying and hoping Takara did. She looked at her colleague after the woman spoke and it seemed like she understood every word of what the woman was saying, which Vesta was thankful of.
Takara then described something of a special battery inside of the armor that they brought with them that would give temporary defense against ghosts if the wearer had spiritual power. Was this woman spiritually aware? The ghosts she was talking about, did she mean Hollows? Vesta lightly grabbed her locket, where Zorn was housed, looking towards Takara. "Takara, is she talking about fighting Hollows?"

Jak spent most of the first part of the fight on the defensive. He wanted to evaluate the strength of the teens. He thought at first they were fullbringers that were not strong enough to unleash their abilities, but it seemed that wasn't even the case. It really seemed that they were just ordinary humans. It was no longer going to be a fair fight. If he used any of his powers, he would potentially kill them without meaning to, and he had already killed enough. He wasn't sure what he needed to do. It wasn't his first time fighting normal people. He used to fight them all the time back at home. It was now that he was far stronger than he was. He will need to hold back.
He continued to dodge and block the incoming barrage of punches. It wasn't hard for him to avoid their attacks seeming to know what exactly their going to throw before they do though that is only because his speed was so much better than theirs. He knew that if he stayed in the middle of all three of them they would eventually get lucky. He would need to get out and hit them one at a time. One of them swung at his head, but he managed to grab the teens arm and throw him into the opposite direction. He was using one to slow down the second one, while he worked on taking out the third. He would need to work fast. Good thing that he knew how to knock them out.
Without sacrificing any speed, Jak hit the third teenager with a hard left hook to the jaw. He held back as to not shatter the bone, but more than enough for that to knock him out on its own. He would then throw the body against the other two who were still stumbling to get back on balance. The additional body bought Jak a little more time. He saw the next punch coming and took the hit in order to grab the boy's shirt. The hit was nothing he might get a little scuffed up but no big deal. He picked the boy up and slammed him flat on his back taking him out of the fight. Now it was one on one. The last one came at him with all he had. Jak dodged out of the way and threw a high kick right over the boy's shoulder and connecting to his jaw. One, two, three and it was over just like that.
Jak looked down at the three of them taking the pendants from them. They looked too out of the ordinary for boys like these to have. He thought that he might as well help the Russians out a little bit with their thievery problem. He pocketed the three pendants, and hoisted all three boys onto his back carrying them back the way he had came. The three of them combined were still pretty heavy and hard to lug around all at once. He had better see some damn appreciation for this. He would make his way to the police station no doubt having someone see him with the three unconsciousness teens on his back. He would leave the three teens with the first person to take them off his hands, and leave the pendants with whoever was in charge.

Jak cleaned the floor with the teenagers charging him. All three of them were laid flat in moments by the Nakabakki's skill and raw power. They just didn't have the strength or speed to keep up with him even as he held back. However, as he moved to take the pendants he'd catch a flash of energy using his Energy Sensory. Something was coming at him, fast. If he looked in the direction of the reiatsu spike he'd see a blue knife headed for him. It was a Quincy arrow, molded into the shape of a knife. With Jak's Energy Sensory and the distance of the attack, he'd easily be able to get out of the way in time to have it embed itself into the ground at his feet.
The archer stood on a building top next to the park, a woman with long brown hair and a scowl set firmly on her face. "Seriously, can you boys do nothing without your Blades? This man took you down without even setting off the crystals! Fools..." She shot another knife arrow, this time directly at the pile of teenagers that Jak had wiped out. When the arrow got within a few feet of them, the emerald pendants glowed and let out a green field of energy that knocked aside the arrow. Inside the field, the teenagers aged rapidly, going from about 13 to closer to 30 in the blink of an eye.
This let off enormous amounts of reiatsu and spiritual energy. The teens turned men were taller, stronger, and were strong fullbringers that could easily be sensed by Jak. And Takara. They looked at each other confused for a moment before putting their attention back to Jak. "You don't look like a Ghost... Where are your Fang tattoos? You newly initiated?" The men spoke a language that Jak could understand, which may be confusing to the Nakabakki but it may not be. The pendant had sealed away 17 years or so of these men's lives, the entirety of the time that they had been exposed to reiatsu, as a way of hiding them completely.
When the pendant's seal had been released, the years of experiences of the men flowed back into them. The years of training in their fullbrings, the years of learning many languages. All of that came back, so they could communicate with Jak. However, what they said was odd. They asked Jak if he was a Ghost, asked about tattoos. They must have mistaken him for someone else, right? Meanwhile, the Quincy had made her way down to the Park and stood with the other three men. "Yeah... and Ghost's don't fight without reiatsu like you did. Who are you?"
Meanwhile, even the Police officer could sense the surge of reiatsu coming from the park. Takara would get detailed information of how three powerful fullbringers and a Quincy suddenly existed where they didn't before, and Vesta would feel power coming from the east but not be able to pinpoint what it was. The officer stood up out of her chair quickly. She had been thinking about what Takara had said, but no longer had any ability to do anything about it. "We'll have to get back with you, we're having an emergency right now. I have to evacuate this entire city. If Blades are active... that means Ghosts are here or coming this way. This whole city is in danger of being killed."

Continuing through the meeting with this Russian police officer who seemed to be in actual command at the moment Takara was starting to wonder why Jak was taking so long. She could hear the breathing of the two officers that had left the room on the opposite side of the door still. There was nothing irregular about anything at the moment so there was no reason to think that Jak was in any kind of trouble. More than likely being his normal moody self off somewhere in the cold.
After a few moments though Takara picked up the reiatsu of something rather strange. She didn't like what she was sensing. She had been keeping roughly half of her actual attention on Jak's reiatsu while she had been going over everything. Now it seemed to pay off though as a different source of reiatsu suddenly became apparent. It had been cloaked or suppressed up until now and Takara knew that she would have to leave. She quickly put the equipment back in each case prior to the alarms going off.
She could sense the reiatsu of a Quincy near Jak. That meant that it could be the Vandenreich. She knew of them and what they tended to do to other spiritual races. She wasn't going to allow anyone to hurt or turn Jak into something that he isn't. Luckily it seemed to she didn't need to end the meeting herself as the alarms went off and the officer did that instead. She could now sense another few sources of reiatsu by Jak. Incredibly close to him close enough that he would definitely see them and more than likely was fighting them.
"Vesta follow me we've got something to check up on." She spoke as she left the room and started to make her way towards Jak's location. She thankfully didn't forget her fur coat though as the snow and temperature weren't forgiving in this part of the world. She would make her way to Jak as fast as she could while keeping her ability to sense reiatsu in check to make sure they weren't always being followed and nothing else popped up in Jak's location.

Vesta waited for an answer that didn't seem to come. Since Takara didn't answer, she would assume that she was talking about fighting Hollows until she was told otherwise. While waiting for anything to happen, her mind wandered slightly on their other companion. She knew next to nothing about anyone that worked for Uzaki Enterprises, since she was still new, but he was still a teammate.
Because of that, she was curious why Jak was still gone. She didn't know if he did this on a regular basis, but it wasn't the smartest thing that she could think of doing in a new place like this. Maybe he spoke the language? She didn't know. She just hoped that her Nakabakki brother wasn't in some kind of danger. She was still curious as to what his other parentage was. It was almost driving her insane.
Was he a half Bount like her? Or, was he a half shinigami like Tsukiyomi was? She had no idea what other halves that a Nakabakki could be, but she was curious all the same. While her mind was wandering, she felt a strong power coming from the east of their location. It seemed that both the police officer and Takara could sense the power as well. The only thing was, Vesta just got a general location of a strong power, but no details.
What exactly was it giving off this power? Was it a Hollow? It was highly possible. She lightly grasped her locket, trying to calm herself with Zorn's help. She wondered if they got the same feeling as her, but she didn't have the chance to think on that long. The police immediately ended their meeting while Takara loaded up their equipment. The alarms were blaring when Takara told Vesta to follow her. She nodded back towards her associate and ran behind her. She started to run full speed, but could tell that she could easily outrun the woman. So, she held back to keep up with her, wondering what was going on.
Jak was about to take the pendant from the boys when something else caught his attention. Something that seemed awfully families. Jak was not going to stand around to make sure his hunch was correct. He leaped back as an arrow landed at his feet. He could recognize those kinds of arrows anywhere. Yeah some of them may change their shape, but he could tell a Quincy arrow when he saw one. His eyes darkened. He had many bad run ins with Quinces before this point. Two Vandreich quinces attacked him when he was a boy after his mother died giving the two scars on his back. He had met another one working for Xcution, and husband to a former friend Asmokon. He put his hand over his heard remembering the near fatal wound he received from the damn Quincy.
He looked up at the girl with long brown hair, and a scowl that seemed as dark as his own. He had to say that Russian girls were quite pretty. He would have found her attractive if she were not a Quincy. With that fact in mind, she might as well be as ugly as a hollow. She fired another arrow at the boys after scolding them. "Seriously, can you boys do nothing without your Blades? This man took you down without even setting off the crystals! Fools..." Jak watched as the arrow triggered something in the pendant. The three boys were starting to age quickly, and Jak could feel the power that they were letting off now."Damn, I know it was too easy." He growled under his breath.
The three men now looked at him seeming to be ready for another round. Great, now it was four on one and all of them seem on equal power as himself. He was really going to be in a bind if his comrades didn't get here fast. He knew Takara would be able to sense them far better than he could. "You don't look like a Ghost... Where are your Fang tattoos? You newly initiated?" Jak had to take a moment for his brain to comprehend what it just heard. It seemed that now they could speak the same language that he could. Well this will hopefully make things a little easier. He managed to divert his attention to the three men in order to answer their questions, but of course the Quincy came up as well.
"Yeah... and Ghost's don't fight without reiatsu like you did. Who are you?" Damn it was as if he was the one intruding. Jak knew that he needed to by some time before the fight started again. He was not going to be fighting long against these odds. He stood confidently with a cocky smile on his face. The wind blew his spiky, black hair. His crimson eyes looked at each one making sure that he had their full attention. "Normally it is polite for you to introduce yourselves first before asking my name, but I will give you the honer non the less. I am Jak Halcom fighter for UE and resident bad ass of Karakura town." He struck a confident pose flexing his crossed arms and leg muscles. If this was an anime there would have been explosions right now, and bad ass music playing shame.
"And watch who you are calling a ghost. That has many negative meaning where i come from." He really didn't think it did, but to him it was a reference to the Shinigami who he had several quarrels with. "If you want to check my pulse you can come over. As for the tattoos, i have no idea what your talking about. I don't personally care for them, but I would admit some of them look really cool, but again no intention of getting any myself." The confidant gleam in his eyes hardened and darkened in a second. "Now it is my turn, who the hell are you three, and you Quincy." The last word held such venom that could kill a blue whale with a single drop.

"UE? Never heard of 'em. Around here, there's just the Cops, the Blades, the Ghosts, and a few other minor factions. What brings you to Hell?" The Russian man didn't seem all that impressed by Jak's display of his muscles by his tone of voice, but he'd be lying if he said that his eyes didn't linger on the Nakabakki's imposing figure. Before he could continue, the archer shushed him and drew her bowstring, pointing towards the east. "One Ghost with two Spirits incoming. Farther out is a haze, so there could be more on the outskirts of town. Our orders did not involve getting into a fight here, hence your cover. Now that it's been blown... we've got to get out of here. You there, kid. You can handle yourself better than these bozos. The Queen may have use for you. Coming with us?"
Jak had more than a few options available to him at the moment. He could go with the team here in the garden, wait for Vesta and Takara whom he could sense coming in from the west, he could engage the group to the east, or he could make his own path. Whatever he did could have long term consequences or may just lead to new information. Whatever he chose to do, time was of the essence as multiple forces were starting to converge on that little garden in the middle of the nearly abandoned street. A bloodbath could start here and he was right in the middle of the oncoming storm.
Meanwhile, the cop was following Vesta and Takara and keeping right up with them, still speaking in the Russian that Vesta couldn't understand. "Where are you going? You have no idea what's out there. You have no idea how many innocent people we have lost to the Ghosts and Blades. All that we can do is evacuate and save what little we can. Please, listen to me!" By now, Takara could sense the Quincy and fullbringers in the garden, as well as the incoming forces from the East. She'd sense a single Bount and two dolls moving incredibly quickly towards the garden. If she didn't run full speed towards the garden, she'd likely not make it to Jak before the dolls did... What would she choose? And would Vesta continue to follow blindly behind her?

"UE? Never heard of 'em. Around here, there's just the Cops, the Blades, the Ghosts, and a few other minor factions. What brings you to Hell?" Jak turned his attention to the Fullbringer that asked him what brought him there. "Basically your police needed equipment, and my company came to deliver." The Quincy shushed them quickly.
His scowl deepened when she refereed to him as kid. He was clearly an adult. Jak thought about what was coming their way. He couldn't really sense them as well as the quincy. Their terminology didn't help things at all. He couldn't tell if it was one person with two powers like a bount or something, or if it was two different kinds of people making it three people coming for him. Either way he didn't have to fight the four in front of him now, and in fact they were asking if he would come with them. Jak only thought about it for a second before shrugging. "Lead the way." He said fallowing them once they started to move. He figured that he might as well see what they were about, while at the same time getting away from Takara.

Moving from the police station that they had all been within only a few moments ago Takara made her way to one of the cars that she had been brought here in. She could sense Jak's reiatsu and locate him based on that so tracking him wouldn't be difficult. What was actually worrying the dark haired beauty was the fact that more and more reiatsu signatures were popping up and each additional one was heading towards Jak and the signatures that were already around him.
Takara didn't know what was going on however she had to assume the worse. It was possible that Jak was engaged in combat against some sort of group that was the cause of all these problems that Russia was facing. She could sense a Quincy and a Fullbringer right near Jak so it was possible. However, there was the more immediate problem that even if he was able to defeat those around him that these new signatures were probably reinforcements that were headed there to eliminate Jak.
It was troublesome how easily the tan skinned half demon got into situations that caused her to worry. She hopped into the drivers seat of the car and waited for a brief moment for Vesta and the female cop to get into the car. As the doors shut Takara would turn on the car and drive off pressing the acceleration to the floor. Her mathematical mind allowed her to judge just how fast she was moving with how soon she'd need to turn or slow making it so she could get to Jak as fast as possible without crashing. "Vesta be ready for the worst possible situation. There are multiple threats incoming on the area. We have to get Jak and then defend ourselves together. Keep a look out the window for anything that seems suspicious."
That was when things got more difficult to interpret. She could sense the signatures of reiatsu and it seemed that this area was about to become a battle field between a multitude of high level signatures of various races that Takara didn't want to engage against without both of her allies. She had confidence in her own abilities, but she knew in order for her to be solely focused on offense she'd have to have Jak out of harms way which meant having him by her side. He seemed to be traveling with the Quincy and Fullbringer so Takara drove off towards them all doing her best to get them there before these other singautres caught up to them.
Post by Vesta Zweig on Aug 1, 2016 14:29:21 GMT -5
Vesta continued to follow Takara. She had no good sense for reiatsu so she was particularly blind to any spiritual things going on around her. Also, her normal senses weren't too much better. Since she knew her own limitations, she continued to follow the woman. Also, Vesta was a new hire to UE. It would look better for her to follow out the orders of her superior. Well, until she could actually she what was going on and make her own decision.
This is the reason why Vesta continued to follow Takara out of the police station, with the one woman in tow. She was curious what was actually going on, but trusted the other woman with her energy sensing. The woman started to speak in a language that she didn't understand, obviously talking to Takara, but Vesta continued to look around the area, trying to see if she could actually see anything, which she didn't.
She followed quickly into the car Takara got into, taking the passenger side seat in the front, making it easier for them to actually try to think of something while the woman in the back would be a bit more protected being in the backseat. Takara then looked towards Vesta, telling her what the plan would be. She was still curious how she could tell all of what she was saying, but then again, she barely knew the woman and she obviously had some kind of awesome sensing skills.
Vesta nodded in agreement as she spoke. She took a few deeps breath to steady her mind. This would be the first time that she would be in the heat of a battle that she could get severely hurt by other spiritually aware people. She's fought hollows before, but this was completely different. She was fighting actual people that could respond quicker than her and be stronger than her. It's what freaked her out the most.

Jak decided to go with the group of Blades for now. With a scoff at the mention of the police and a nod, the Quincy started to lead the way. Moving quickly, she lead the group that now numbered five north into a small alley. It appeared to be a dead end, but she jumped over the brick wall at the end by hopping on a dumpster, grabbing onto a fire escape, and then swinging over onto the top of the wall. "Hurry, the Cops from the west are approaching by car. We'll lose them best if we move on foot. Veniamin, secure the entrance to the alley." The Quincy was obviously in charge of this group, seeing as one of the men, Veniamin, obeyed her order without question.
Pulling out a plain combat knife from his jacket, he held it out and whispered something in Russian. The blade started to glow and poured out reiatsu, forming solid bricks of stone which quickly filled the entrance to the alley and made it practically disappear from the outside looking in. "Good work, Veniamin. Your Quality isn't "The Sturdy" for nothing. Now move it before the Ghosts catch wind of us. Let them clash with the Cops instead. Better for us to pick up the pieces without undue casualties." The woman urged her companions on, who quickly got over the brick wall in the same manner as she did. Jak would have to pay attention to them to be able to keep up, since they knew this area so well apparently.
They would lead Jak through winding allies, abandoned houses, and even through a liquor store on a slow day to reach their destination, a small unassuming shack. The three fullbringers put on their pendants and activated them, slowly rewinding time on their bodies to the point where there wasn't even a trace of reiatsu in them or on them. The Quincy was about to do the same, but she remembered Jak. "You're different, aren't you? Was there ever a time in your life where you weren't touched by the energy of the dead? I've never met someone like you... it's just, I can feel and sense it, you know? We can't guarantee your safety if you can't hide like us, though."
Meanwhile, Takara and Vesta would hit a snag. The Mod Soul had commandeered the police vehicle, but the police woman had refused to go along with her. As Vesta and Takara sped off, the woman continued barking evacuation orders and instructions into her radio. Regardless of the UE employees' actions, she was going to work to keep her city safe. Takara wouldn't lose track of Jak's reiatsu signature, but it would start to get very faint as the group of Blades quickly moved throughout the city. Now Takara would be in a tough situation. Would she try to track Jak down, having to literally knock down walls to get to him, or would she deal with the incoming Bount threat that was mere moments away from her and Vesta. And if she chose to chase down Jak... Would she be able to get away from the Bount?
