Jak growled when he felt the two arrows strike him in the back. He turned to the Quincy that had shot already butting his hands togther for another attack. He rolled out of the way of the first several arrows an trying to close the gap between him and his target. He would then run as fast as he could in a circle to avoid the others. He was not planning on being killed or taken prisoner. So the only opion left is for the Quincy to die.
Once the beam was ready, and the last of the arrows dodged, Jak would thrust his hands out palm heels touching as he would fire a beam of crimson energy. It would move considerably slower than his spirit bolts, but it would still move at a good speed to hit the Quincy at the five or so feet between them. He also positioned himself so that the beam would not only go through the Quincy, but also the wall behind him and punching a large hole through it.

Rats a disgusting vermin that thrives in the garbage of others. Living off the scraps, mating profusely and living merely just to live based on instinct alone. Aevus and Hotaru were but rats in a maze in this situation and right now they were cornered. All because he had decided not to kill that Quincy from earlier. Oddly enough he was still at odds with himself about that decision. Maybe he would have, if he hadn't met that boy. But no, even before that he wouldn't, these were humans. living breathing, they were alive but they were also his peoples enemy. He was at an impasse and he'd find himself yet again staring down another Quincy clad in those white garbs.
Seeing how Hotaru had turned around it was obvious she had also spotted one. They were indeed cornered like rats, they had fallen into a trap. Yet there was no cheese to partake in, how rude of them. To corner a rat without even giving it bait. Heh, now that was unworthy of praise. It was then that Aevus's eyes would narrow on that garbed stranger clad in white. His eyes were but void, a target but another obstacle to take down. It was all but trivial yet somewhere in the back of his mind something clicked. This is a person, he's alive, you don't have to kill him and maybe he didn't. After all they already knew they were here, this wasn't like before where discretion had mattered but even then he didn't kill. Why would he start now?
"Aevus-chan, take out the other Quincy, I'm taking the one on the right."
Another command by his superior, another target to take down. His body seemingly moved on that command and he'd find himself eyeing that target with that voided gaze of his. He threw himself at the man, like he was but a projectile himself. Like a mere tool to be used, but a weapon to be commanded. Perhaps he was a dog of Soul society after all. That leash held tightly against his throat, choking him and leading him down a path, one little girl had set him on. How silly to be lead by others choices and dreams, to be ailed foreword by their decisions and their will. Such is the life of a hound forever leashed by its masters, trained to kill and take lives...
Cool, cold, and voided his sapphire irises befell the Quincy with such disinterest that he'd appear almost inhuman. Moving upon that command alone, he'd attempt to shelter the blade into the thigh of the man. With that he'd swiftly flip over him. Landing behind him. No this wasn't to end the Quincy. This action was purely on his moral code of preservation, of saving lives not taking them. He'd tackle into the Quincy, forcing him onto the ground. Hopefully in time that that arrow would miss both him and Aevus. He would seek shelter on the ground for but a moment just in case there was another explosion and with that he'd strike the back of the Quincy's head with the pommel of his blade.
"Aevus-chan, if you're done with that, let's head out. We can't just sit around here. But, just remember what happened when you left the guard alive in the tower."
Those words had not fallen on deaf ears. Latching forth his blade, Aevus would cut the entirety of his right sleeve off. With this he'd tie the hands of the Quincy as quickly as possible. He was no boy scout but he at least knew the basics of how to make a tight knot. He wasn't going to kill not yet, not now. If Hotaru had any problems with it, or objections she'd have to bring it up after the mission. Right now, she was stuck with him and really he was all she had. He didn't speak a word as he followed after his superior down that corridor.

This game of war surely was turning into one of interest and destruction. So far the small unit of but three entities had been managing to take down a good deal of the Vandenreich Quincy. It seemed as if everything was going just the way that they would want it too and that they were making incredible time through it all. None of them had really sustained horrible injury either so they in the world would they be worried other than simply numbers playing to the enemies side.
Well that’s just it for right now the Vandenreich Quincy were outclassed. Yet that was for one reason alone. Most of the Quincy that had been encountered so far were, but new recruits and had very little power compared to a seasoned warrior. That was about to change though. The three Quincy that were at the moment fighting off the three entities were about to show them how much of a difference there was between pure blood and filth.
The single Quincy that remained in the one hundred foot space between the first wall and the second was fighting against the half demon. All four of his allies had been killed by this filth yet he was alive and fighting and there was a reason for that. This Quincy had been the leader of that small party and a personal friend to them all. The half demon had just fueled a fire beneath the emotions of this Quincy that burned hotter than the fire his father slept upon.
As the demon rush around dodging his arrows the Quincy was beginning to predict the movements of the demon. It was obvious that he was going to plan some type of close up attack against him yet the details were a mystery. That was until the Quincy spotted the glowing of red reiatsu in the demon’s hands. It was the same color as those orbs had been so a reiatsu based attack was most likely going to be used. As the demon got close enough though and extended his hands and send out the blast of energy the Quincy vanished from sight.
The wall steel of the second wall had been blasted through and the edges of the man sized hole would be orange due to the heat of the attack. However, no sign of the Quincy being hit was there. The half demon would suddenly feel something light hit his back like an insect. Yet as that happened he would be sent flying through the man hole he had created into the second area. It would feel as if he was falling from an incredible height yet it hadn’t hurt. He would then find himself in the middle of the area with that Quincy walking through the hole holding a blue bow with strange rune designs.
Now as for the battle that was raging on inside of the tower where everything looked to be some type of maze one would find in a game. Well the Shinigami had come up with a spur of the moment idea that was just brutality in every manner. The idea of rushing an archer almost never worked. In the case of the female yes she had been able to evade the arrow that had been fired off towards her by leaning to the right. As she rushed forwards however the Quincy jumped back and fired off another arrow right at the ground causing an explosion that broke the floor and caused a smokescreen. When the female would get through she wouldn’t see the Quincy for he had vanished.
The dark haired Shinigami had rushed the other Quincy and it seemed like he was struggling to actually do the actions of a rescuer. He wasn’t thinking about how these humans had killed so many others and that they had in fact dozens of Shinigami under his feet right now in a condition he had no clue about. As the dark haired Shinigami had jumped over the Quincy and readied himself to strike with his pommel the Quincy had vanished from sight leaving him there standing and unable to see where he had gone.
A few moments would pass and then both of the Shinigami would feel as if the air in the area had just gained weight. They were feeling the effects of both the Quincy releasing their bows at the same time in a small area. “Shinigami filth” the words would be heard from a few feet away yet no sign of either Quincy was there. Then all of a sudden one of the hallways that breached off from the one both Shinigami were in right now would sending have five green arrows flying and hitting the side of the wall.
Both Shinigami would be able to see this yet the arrows didn’t explode or stop at the wall. They bounced off of the wall and now were continuing to do so further and further down heading right towards the female Shinigami. Each arrow was hitting the wall a fraction of a second after the other yet they were all in different positions. In truth they had been aimed so that an arrow would be able to strike at the legs, waist, chest, and head.
As those arrows came at them though another threat was right over head. A massive yellow arrow was arced up right above them. Then all of a sudden it broke apart and two dozen of the yellow arrows began to rain down upon the two Shinigami. These two Quincy were using the hallways to the adventure by keeping their location hidden while they attacked from different angles. It seems that the Shinigami had walked not into a maze, but the perfect battle ground for these Quincy.
Quincy Releases Blue: This firing ability enables any arrow fired to not wound directly yet send the target backwards a total of 50 feet. Green: This firing ability allows any arrow fired to bounce off any surface that has not been called out prior to the shot. (Shinigami only take hit) Yellow: This mass ability allows the Quincy to fire off a single large arrow that can break apart into 24 after a few moments.

Hotaru was running towards the Quincy when she saw the arrow leave his bow. But, she noticed that the arrow's trajectory was pointed down towards the floor. So, he was creating some kind of diversion for himself. She cursed herself inwardly, because by the time she had made it to where the Quincy was, he had disappeared. They knew the Quincy step technique. They made the fight that much harder. She looked over to Aevus and saw that his had also disappeared. This wasn't good.
"Aevus-chan, these Quincy know the Quincy step technique, I don't know it's name. It's the Quincy version of Shunpo. And what I'm feeling now I assume is them releasing their first level of power. I've fought with Quincy before. Since they're not appearing around here, we need to just get out of the area now. The longer we're here, the more likely more Quincy are going to show up to be back up for these. We don't have the time to deal with that many. We're going to run. NOW!"
She started running off towards the way she wanted to run, the right and forwards for all the intersections. But, she knew that they wouldn't be able to get too far. With the feeling of the Quincies releasing their first level of power, she knew that they would be using them soon. And right when she thought that, she heard something hitting the walls. She kept running a little until she felt something behind her. The arrows were bouncing off the walls. THE FREAKING WALLS!
It was definitely a surprising power, but that wasn't all. She looked up and saw a huge arrow that was above them. It then broke apart and at least two dozen arrows started to come down at them. She knew she was strong enough to beat the Quincy, but these arrows had powers she didn't really know how to defeat. She thought of something rather quickly. She looked over to Aevus. "Aevus-chan, I'm going to use Shunpo Eichi. It has a shockwave that comes off of it, which should be strong. Prepare yourself to either brace from it or run."
It was after she said that that she turned around and looked down the corridor. Since the hallway was pretty straight, she wouldn't run into any walls. Once the arrows got close to her, she performed the Shunpo Eichi. She would disappear and reappear farther down the hallway, hopefully getting away from the arrows. The shockwave from the step should've thrown the arrows off course, she hoped some of them hitting each other. She continued to run down the hallways, waiting for them to come back.
OOC: Remaining Reiatsu: 2800/3000 -150 for Shunpo Eichi
Once the beam faded Jak looked around for the remains of the Quincy. At first he thought that he completely obliterated the Quincy leaving nothing left. That thought was disproved when he felt the Quincy behind him. He quickly turned to see an arrow coming right at his chest. Jak crossed his arms in front of his chest just in time to block the arrow from striking his chest, but it would seem that the arrow didn't really do any physical damage.
Jak did feel himself be propelled back with a sudden explosion of force. He tried to plant his feet skidding through the hole that his spirit beam had created. He wound his chain around his hand and put it to the ground trying to slow his skid. His chain ground against the concrete ground creating spark and an irritating screeching sound. He was finally able to come to a complete stop as the Quincy stepped through the hole himself.
This Quincy wasn't like the others that he had killed. He was stronger, more experienced. It was safe to assume that he was the squad leader of the patrol the Jak just took out. Jak would need to do whatever it took to take this Quincy down. Jak unwound his chain completly holding it in his right hand and letting the rest of it lay on the ground. He glared at the Quincy before charging again. He would use the position of the bow to predict where the Quincy would shoot and dodge accordingly. Once he was within range, Jak would swing his chain fast wrapping around the Quincy's bow or his bow arm. He wanted to disarm him if possible or at least keep him from using it for while.

Aevus had found himself in mid swing and suddenly it was as if he the Quincy had vanished all together. 'A step technique?' Aevus's eyes would widen for a time before quickly returning to that collected look he usually exhibited, his blade held reverse gripped at his side as he straightened himself in a momentary standstill. Damn, these Quincy were no pushovers, they actually knew what they were doing. The weight of the room seemingly fell upon Aevus and next he would feel as if gravity was fighting against him. Tapping his blade, Aevus would bite his lip at the very pressure of these Quinces bow releases. Aevus sheltered a "Tsk" under his breath. Was he really ready for this mission? Maybe not but it was far to late to rethink his choices now. Taking a quick glance over to his superior he would take in everything she had to say, for every word was important.
“Shinigami filth”
With these words, Aevus's blue irises would once again widen to a new sight. Reflecting the very emerald light of those five spiritual arrows, he would steadily move back in reply. They bounced off the very walls, ricocheting in a random fashion. Unpredictable in nature, This hallway had certainly become a deathtrap for the two, now even worse they were separated. Next Aevus would see a volley descend upon him and his superior, oh boy. Their wasn't much to be done, except to attempt to flee. Moving on his toes the man would attempt to take the nearest corridor, completely ignoring his superiors words. As he attempted to save his own skin and getting the hell out of dodge was his first priority. Forced to use Shunpo once again, he would set down the opposite hallway, separating himself from his superiors step technique and the safety of her companionship.
Aevus was alone now, his breathing heavy as he set himself against a nearby wall. 'I'll need to find another way' Aevus would think to himself, as he set his eye around the corner, attempting to note anything of interest in this place. This place, it all looked the same to the man, that blind alabaster white sheen plastered against the walls. It was certainly an eyesore and these Quinces had the advantage. They wore the perfect camouflage. Sure on the outside of this fortress they stood out like a sore thumb but in here they were nearly invisible to the man, well except for when they were attacking of course. Aevus would tap the handle of his blade once again, as he removed his gaze from that corner, resting his mind and his breath for a time. It was sure intense and calming his mind was the best he could do in this situation.
'I'll need to find Hotaru, we can't stay separated like this' But that meant only one thing, Aevus had to back track through that hellhole and that was going to be choir. It was dangerous but he would be even more screwed if he stayed alone. If only he had any energy sensory, this whole thing would have been a lot easier. Actually...Aevus's sapphire eyes would sink for a moment as he glanced down to his sandaled feet and next he would do something completely unlike him and out of character. He bellowed out a scream at the top of his lungs, sliding his back against the wall as it echoed. His right hand held against his shoulder, while his left still clung tightly to his blade. 'Hopefully this buys her some time.'

These two could certainly call themselves lucky that they both knew the standard shunpo at least. If it hadn’t been for the step techniques that had just been used both of these shinigami could have been pierced by enough arrows to end them there and then. The female had used a more refined and offensive version of shunpo that had managed to send the five green arrows off course and bounce from the walls to the floor and then up into the ceiling. Currently those arrows were now scattered throughout the maze as they continued to bounce off of everything. Due to the distance that they both had put between them and the location that they had been in none of the yellow arrows had managed to strike them. However, that area was now completely rubble after all twenty four had exploded.
It would be hard for either of the shinigami to hear now and after a few moments the Quincy that were after them would assault again. The dark haired shinigami would see that one of the Quincy now stood about twenty feet from him straight down the hallway he was in. The Quincy raised his bow to waist height held vertically and then fired off a large yellow arrow. After a moment taking up five feet of distance it broke apart creating twenty four smaller ones just like last time. There were only a few things that the Shinigami would be able to do the question was which would he decide to do.
The female Shinigami would find that the other Quincy was thirty feet away at the end of the room looking right at her. Almost immediately the Quincy fired off another set of five green arrows. The arrows he fired though were aimed at the ground and now were bouncing from the ceiling back into the hallway right towards Hotaru. It would be very difficult to dodge them due to the arrows being spread out and taking out the whole hallway width yet only a few inches in size. As those came towards her though another three were fired right at her and would explode when they reached her.
Outside the half demon was charging at the Quincy who had just shot him through the hole into the second section of the fortress. It was weird though all of the Quincy that had been outside were no longer in sight other then the one he was fighting. As the half demon charged the Quincy stepped back and fired off five arrows. The first hit the chain that had been swung at him. Instantly the demon would feel the chain actually forced backwards messing with his charge. As that happened though the other four arrows made contact with his body in various places. Over the next two seconds the demon was send through the air and crashed into the side of the second steal wall.
The only pain he would actually feel though was the impact from hitting the wall at a decent speed. However, he wouldn’t have time to react much now that five more arrows were coming right for him. If the demon managed to evade it would be best for him. However, if he did he would see the true damage of the ability these arrows possessed. The steal wall would have massive dents in it from the arrows. It would be obvious that if the entire thing couldn’t be moved the power would force it back with a massive amount of strength.

She was running down her hallway when Hotaru heard the destruction behind her. She took a quick glance backwards since she heard the noise. She wasn't running full out, since she wanted Aevus to catch up to her. So, she stopped only for a second to see the destruction behind her. It seemed that when she used Shunpo Eichi, she was able to thankfully throw all of the arrows off track. But, because she did that, it seemed like most of the arrows hit the ceiling, which made the ceiling fall in and destroy the walls.
She didn't see Aevus, but she was reasonably sure that he was able to avoid the blast. He would've been stupid not to be able to avoid it. She did warn him on what she was going to do. But, now she was cut off from him. She then heard a scream and figured it was him. He had gotten hurt. It wasn't a good sign, but she didn't have the time to go back for him or even know how to get to him. This stupid maze was preventing her from easily getting to him. He knew the risks when he came. She just felt horrible that she was leading the mission and this happened.
But, with all the alarms blaring around her, she didn't have the time to stand still. She needed to get out and she assumed he did that to distract them from her. She yelled, hoping to be heard above the alarms. "I will be back to get you Aevus-chan! Stay alive till then!" She then started to run at the same speed. She had no idea how long she would need to run, so she didn't want to tire herself out needlessly. She kept her focus forward, until she heard something.
What she heard was the familiar thumping of arrows bouncing off the walls. She cursed. The stupid Quincy had recovered faster than she thought. She kept running and took a quick glance behind her. She looked back, cursed and punched her speed. There were the bouncy arrows coming at her and the regular explosive arrows. She finally saw the end of her hallway split between left and right. She maxed out her speed and slowed down just enough to make the turn to the right safely before running faster a little bit more before slowing down. This was getting ridiculous and she was hoping the elevator was coming up.

Jak saw his chain being deflected and was hit with a few more arrows. Again he was forced back, but this time he was flung into a solid wall. He groaned taking only a step away from the wall before five more arrows were fired at him. He looked up and only tensed his muscles trying to protect himself the best he could as they exploded on and around him. He felt he pain from the arrows and the resulting explosions.
Jak staggered out of the smoke panting heavily. His legs were shaking weakly and his body covered in cuts and bruises. He took another few steps before falling to his knees. Why, why was it that he was captured again. He didn't care that he had lost a fight, but the fact that now it may cost him his life. He had barley survived one Quincy shooting him in the chest, but he didn't think that he would be that lucky a second time.
He was too tired and damaged to fight any more. He was completely at the Quincy's mercy, and he wasn't thinking that he was too keen with the idea of keeping him alive. He groaned still struggling in vain to get up. The chain laid on the ground. He didn't know what was going to happen now, but he had to just tough it out and accept it. His vision started to dim and suddenly grow dark. He closed his eyes the injuries taking their toll on his body.

The sound of explosions would ring in his ears, ticking forth against those alabaster white walls like fireworks going off during the fourth of July. Boom boom boom, even louder, they sounded closer to Aevus than he had realized. The dust from the destruction would spill outwards into that previous corridor he had ran through, hopefully Hotatu had got out in time. It was nearly deafening and easily drowned out those damn sirens that had annoyed him so earlier. Aevus would wonder for a time if anyone had actually heard his feigned scream over those explosions. Maybe not, but to his surprise he would soon hear his superiors voice and with that came reassurance of her safety. Though faint, he could easily make out what she had said.
"I will be back to get you Aevus-chan! Stay alive till then!"
If Aevus had any time to be sarcastic he perhaps would have muttered 'my hero' under his breath. But no, he was truly in a dangerous predicament right now and it was no time to be cracking jokes. He was alone and worse yet he was in enemy territory. These Quincy knew the grounds better than him and he was a sitting duck next to this wall. Oh he could only guess how many times they must have traversed through these corridors in sheer boredom. Maybe even joking with one another and sharing war stories as they did so, preaching their devotion to that emperor. These people, what exactly was there reason to follow this so call emperor so blindly like a god? Aevus didn't understand it, he didn't understand plenty of things so this was certainly no exception.
Glancing upwards the mans sapphire gaze would meet that Quincy garbed in those white robes. There was no rest for Aevus as he found himself staring into the eyes of his enemy and next came forth that same attack from earlier. A bright yellow and large arrow seemingly shifted into many before his very eyes. Darting upward Aevus would scrape his hands against the ground to gather his bearings. It was as if he was panicking to move his body and his actions truly showed that. Shifting into that corridor once again, Aevus would run at full speed through that line of destruction. That deafening sound was back, he felt the ground pulsate as he heard every single arrow pound into that wall behind him. It probably wasn't going to hold out and if the other Quincy didn't know where he was, they most likely would now.
Aevus knew he would have to take out this Quincy, but he didn't want to kill him. He needed to, well he needed to first close the distance. Tapping his blade, Aevus held himself against the corner where the Quincy would have to traverse through to get to him. Well for all he knew it was the only way, after all this place was a maze to him. He'd ease his breathing once again, his blade held before him in that reverse grip. If that Quincy went around the corner he was going to be ready. Using his blade he'd immediately dart towards him at full speed(202), attempting to slice the bottom of his right foreleg to offset his balance and with that he'd get behind him, to strike the back of his head with the pommel.

The Shinigami running from the onslaught of the Quincy. How long would they be able to continue running until they were finally shot down in cold blood. The female Shinigami had just on the skin of her teeth been able to make the turn into the next hallway when the eight arrows total passed right by her. As she had turned the Quincy had seen it happen and the three arrows he had sent off instantly exploded. The Shinigami wouldn’t be hurt by it, but she would feel the force of the explosion behind her and it might be enough to throw her off balance.
As she continued to run throughout the hallways she would eventually pass by a hallway that if she looked close enough actually had a door barely ten feet away. It was the elevator with the doors shut and it looked as if it had been used just recently due to the fact that the light was still on. That meant that it had been used after the alert had gone off or else it wouldn’t be active right now. What exactly had come up from the prison to deal with the problems on the surface?
“You die here scum!” The Quincy spoke as he stood on the actual wall of the hallway. He was right behind the female Shinigami only about three feet between them and he was higher up in the air about five feet due to him standing on the walls. His bow was held out right at her in a vertical manner and the green arrows were plain to see. In the next moment five of the green arrows would be fired of nearly at point blank range right at the female Shinigami.
As all of that happened the black haired Shinigami had been dealing with his own problem. He had run back into the hallway that was pretty much destroyed now in order to evade the second valley of the Quincy. He had succeeded in evading that way yet the Quincy wasn’t going to let it end that way. He had done pretty much the same thing as his partner. Leaping onto the white walls and running across the top after the Shinigami. After a few moments the Quincy would catch the Shinigami in his sights and take aim. As he fired off another large arrow aimed for the back of the Shinigami it split into another two dozen. The arrows though wouldn’t have the speed to catching get this Shinigami especially if he took a turn so the Quincy had to think of something quick.
Outside the half demon had been taken down his body suffering a great deal of damage from the pressure of the firing ability that the Quincy possessed. The wall behind him was dented further to the point that the steal looked nearly broken throw. The Quincy was ready to take kill the demon spawn and get back to normal things yet as he aimed a final blue arrow at the head of the demon a voice filled with authority called out. “HALT!” The Quincy immediately stopped and turned to look at the commander that had just arrived. Bowing to his superior the Quincy deactivated his bow release. “Come with me this one is not alone. Oh and since he’s your mess you can carry him.” With that the two Quincy would make there way inside of the tower where the Shinigami were currently fighting with the half demon prisoner.

Hotaru kept running down the hallways. She was focused on facing forward trying not to run into anything and just would glance by all the open hallways to see if she got a glance of anything. She ran by one hallway and when she looked, she thought she saw something. She stopped and quickly jogged back towards the hallway. She looked down it and couldn't believe it. It was grey doors with a light above them. This must be the 'elevator' that she was looking for. It was interesting.
She then looked towards the hallway back from where she came. She thought that she sensed something, and that's when she noticed the Quincy on the wall. It was then that she noticed that the walls didn't even touch the ceiling. She had no idea how she ended up missing that. But, anyway, the Quincy was standing on the top of the wall, just looking down at her. Obviously the man was pissed that she got away. No matter, she needed to get to the elevator.
He was behind her and when he spoke to her, she needed to figure out a way to get out of this situation. Since he was on the top of the wall, he could reach her beyond the corner, so she couldn't use the same tactic again. She needed to think of something else. But, she figured that what happened before could work again. She stood there and she watched the light on the elevator light move. She knew that she needed to go over there and push the button to get the elevator to move.
But, it made her wonder who had used the elevator last? It was used fairly recently to get someone either from the prison coming up here or someone up here going down to the prison to do something. It was an interesting thought, but one that she couldn't really dwell on right now. She needed to finish the mission and go release the prisoners. Before the Quincy shot off his arrow, she took some of the gunk from her foot and marked the wall, making a mark from the outside hallway and around the hallway she's going down so Aevus would know where she went.
Right when the arrows started to come close to her, she used Shunpo Eichi to move quickly, letting out a shockwave to hopefully knock the arrows off course and the Quincy off the wall. When she arrived at the elevator, she quickly pushed the down arrow. She knew that it was underground and she was pretty sure she hadn't gone all the way down yet. When the elevator doors opened, she quickly ran in them and pushed the close doors button. She would have her sword at the ready for any counterattack. Once the doors closed, she blew out a sigh of relief and stretched herself out. She was ready to free the prisoners and find information on Asmoskon.

Illuminated, the walls were sprinkled with that yellow hued light, coming from that damn blasted arrow. Its color bled off the walls as it neared Aevus’s position. Dammit, Aevus was wrong in assuming that the Quincy would have just went around the corner. His white garbed robe blurring behind that blinding attack of his. He was attempting to make Aevus into his bitch. He must have been ready for his surprise attack and thus gained the opportunity to issue a surprise of his own and it sure was startling to say the least. Aevus was staring death yet again in the face. This same attack again? Aevus perhaps would have thought if he had time to pounder on it. But Aevus truly didn't have time for just pondering and he was forced to move his toes.
Sure it was just one arrow now, but in an instant it would burst out and become several dozen death seekers. He saw this all before, oh yes he was having the major case of Deja vu. Was this, this Quincy's only mean of attack? If so he would be in for a rude awakening. But no, Aevus would not move upon that same impulse from before. Darting down the hall, Aevus's sandaled feet would click against the cold ground beneath him, causing a faint echo to sound. Catching in the familiar sites of that destroyed corridor, he would soon find himself running down it in hopes to escape the Quincy. By luck he managed to take the same turn as Hotaru had. Now, he just had to escape this Quincy. The sound, of destruction blasted behind him. Sending vibrations through very ground, under his very feet.
He would feel that familiar tremor and yet again hear it as well. Yet another wall destroyed by the waking destruction that this Quincy's bow had brought. He must have really wanted Aevus dead and well Aevus didn't blame him. After all he did break into the prison, that he was manned at. What thoughts must have been whirling through that mans head. Perhaps thoughts of a promotion, or perhaps just thoughts of bloodlust or maybe even revenge. The history between Quincy and Shinigami was a shaded one. Aevus had always wondered the Quinces side of the story. He had always wondered what was their viewpoint and opinion on that bloody war that nearly eradicated their entire people.
Still running Aevus would not let up, nor would he take any moment to even look back behind himself. No, moving, getting away was his top priority. Maybe he could just get away from this Quincy. Maybe he didn't even need to fight him at all. But no, running away would not lead him anywhere unless of course he had found that elevator. Aevus would attempt to follow the destructive sounds from before, and perhaps pinpoint where Hotaru had yelled his name from. That's really all he could do in this situation. Catching this Quincy by surprise certainly wasn't going to work and he'd hate to have to waste valuable Reiatsu on Shunpo again but maybe he would have too.
Zooming past a corner Aevus would hear a familiar sound, the sonic boom of his superiors powerful Shunpo. It rang in his ears but he would follow it as it were a signal fire. It was than that he had seen the closing elevator door and in act of desperation, he too would Shunpo to those closing doors. With his right hand he would keep them from shutting, looking at Hotaru with those cold blues as if saying bitch wait for me! With that he would seek refuge inside. Instantly clinging to the right wall of the elevator, his blade held in reverse grip, He couldn't let down his guard not even for a second, after all they weren't out of the woods yet.

Well it seemed that the Shinigami were no longer even going to attempt to fight the Quincy in this maze. Good for them though that they had found the elevator. The female Shinigami had wasted no time at all and just utilized a shunpo to get inside while knocking the Quick off the top of the wall. Only a few moments later the dark haired Shinigami rushed inside as well. However, as the doors began to close a single green arrow was fired off that hit the inside of the elevator and bounced off striking through the left bicep of the female Shinigami.
They should both count themselves lucky however for the doors of the elevator closed shut and the thing began to move downwards obviously. While the two spoke to one another for the next three minutes the Quincy were trying to figure out how they could get down there and prevent a riot of prisoners from breaking free. Neither of the two Quincy that had just fought the best they could to kill the Shinigami knew a way down besides the elevator.
"The both of you who just failed meet me outside NOW!" it was that same voice of authority speaking over the com links to the both of the Quincy. It seemed that the one in charge was getting ready for something special. The half demon was still knocked unconscious and would remain so for the time being as he was carried by the Quincy that had defeated him. They were all going into a second elevator on the outside of the tower that led directly down to the prison. They would cut these Shinigami down.
