Location: Hell.

Difficulty Level: Hard.

Setting: Damage Permanent.

Plotline: Over the course of several rounds, different players can be chosen to become investigators. They must solve clues leading them to escape from Hell, but will be stopped along the way by "angels" and "demons" who will either help or hinder them. Can you escape from Hell before dying and being stuck forever?

Estimated Enemy Strength: Class 8-1

Estimated Time Until Completion: However long it takes! Everyone will get a turn to be the investigator with three turns of choices to make.

Starts: December 1, 2023

Special Conditions:

- Releases and Reiatsu are allowed, but characters will be treated as Classless. All characters have access to every level of their Release regardless of Class.
- Powers are meant to be used to kill the investigator, but since Reiatsu is allowed, costs matter. If you use too much and cannot afford to use your powers anymore, you must play without them for the duration of the adventure.
- Everyone’s stats are reduced to base 50 EXCEPT your Reiatsu pool, which will be set to 2000 total Reiatsu. You will have no points in Energy Sensory or HE. This is meant to be an even playing field.
- Each round, a single RPC is chosen to be the investigator. The investigator will be given a series of clues by the other participants to either help or hinder them. They must choose wisely, otherwise the path they take might lead them to death!
- Each clue will be given to participants OFF-SITE. I will be DMing them to you privately and I will tell you whether or not your clue helps or hinders.
- If your clue hinders AND it is the turn where the investigator dies, feel free to make it as cinematic as you want!
- Keep all actions within ProBoards TOS.
- Posting order will be: Angel/Demon (order doesn't matter), Investigator, DM, Angel/Demon, Investigator, DM.
- When we get to the last mini-round of clues, if the investigator chooses the wrong clue, the very next post after the investigator will be the demon who kills them. The next sequential participant after the demon will become the new investigator. If you guys get confused, I will remind you whose turn it is. LOL!
- Specific player posting order is subject to change each round so everybody gets a turn investigating and killing!
- 10 day posting period. Or you get skipped.
- Interact with each other and have fun!

Smiling sadistically down from his throne in the depths of Hell, Satan listened as one of his archreapers explained an idea for a little game to torture some of the sinners in the World of the Living. He spoke of a game they could play, stealing the bodies and souls of seven individuals as each one would represent one of the Seven Deadly Sins. This idea, brought forth by a specific reaper named Mors, resonated with the King's desire to drown his boredom. Mors continued discussing the rules of the game and how it would be played, making his master incredibly happy.

"Hmmm. Sick... Wicked sick! Mors, you have impressed me today." Satan leaned forward on his throne, practically one hundred feet off the ground atop a massive spike that looked to be cut off at the peak to allow for the throne to sit properly. "Who would the humans be who you would drag down here?"

"They wouldn't be just humans, sir. I would be pulling from several different races. They would be some of the best representatives of their kind."

"I see. How brilliant you are to think of such a thing. They would be forced to leave their homes and see for themselves what awaits them once I can steal their souls for myself."

Satan jumped down from the throne, landing just in front of Mors who had been kneeling the entire time, not daring to make eye contact with his King. He knew better. Looking at Satan in the eyes even once was enough to suck any willpower he had out of his undead body, leaving him as nothing but a husk. So many archreapers before him suffered the same fate, so he took the advice seriously when Satan initially instructed him never to raise his head in the presence of his King unless invited to do so. Satan bent himself down and grabbed Mors by his chin, lifting his head with a tight grip.

"Bring them to me, demon. Do not make me wait. I wish to speak with them myself."

In a flash, Mors left Hell faster than any average eye could see and made his way to the World of the Living where he hunted down each of the seven individuals he had on his list. While they weren't hard to find, he knew that bagging and gagging them was going to be complicated. Enlisting the help of his demon army, each of them set off in teams of five to track the participants of this game, subtly drugging them as they slept and spiriting them away back to Hell. The entire process took a bit of time, but it wouldn't be too long before they each would wake up at the bottom of a chasm right in front of the pillar where Satan sat.

A dark, conniving laugh bellowed throughout Hell, causing reapers and demons alike to cower in fear away from their King. The same sound would wake up the seven people who would be the sole providers of Satan's entertainment. "Rise, you sacrificial lambs!" He raised his arms, his evil smile showing every fanged tooth he had. "You are in the presence of greatness and a mighty power you have never known to exist before now. I am Satan, the King of Hell. You are here to serve as my playthings."

Mors stood to the left of Satan's pillar as he kept himself quiet, allowing his master to explain. "Each of you must complete a series of trials. You will be forced to make three choices. If your choice leans in your favor, I will grant you something fitting. Think of it as a gift. But if you choose poorly..." His face contorted into something so menacing and failed to stifle his cackle. "Then you may never escape from me. I will torture you for eternity."

Satan stood once again, his black pants straightening back out as he did so. Despite being so far away, the participants may notice that his feet were bare. His toe and fingernails were black and clawed with a pair of matching black horns protruding from right above his temples. The hair on the top of his head was red and longer than the buzzed hair along the sides. While he wore a black shirt, the buttons were only done up to just below his sternum, showing off his muscular build. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows and his hands were resting on his hips. He was decorated in a variety of jewelry and piercings only accented by Hellish markings tattooed on his forehead, cheeks, chest, and arms. Even the burning flames surrounding his kingdom seemed to dim in comparison to him.

He slowly descended upon the seven participants, looking each of them over carefully with his blood-red eyes and slitted black pupils. His face was painted with a smirk as he stood just shy of five inches shorter than the tallest being there. So this man had to best the King of Hell in some way. Satan made note of this, carefully picking apart every single one of them until he finally understood who was meant to represent each Sin. Running his left hand through his hair, careful to avoid the horns, Satan laughed once more. The sound was deep and impossible to ignore. He was crazy, or perhaps simply embracing the role he was banished to play so many eons ago.

"Choose wisely."

OOC: Everyone can post an intro! Once you have done that, I'll post again as Satan and give you your Sins. I've already picked them based on some qualities of each character and the Sins will come into play later. That'll be a surprise! Once it's my turn to post again, you'll all be introduced to which one is yours. Please mind the rules, and I'll be giving some instructions via Discord as we get into each round!

”What in the fuck..”

Was the first thing Luke said as he lay there on the cold ground staring up at a ceiling he didn’t recognize in an unknown location. The Bount blinked a few times, confused, trying to piece together what the fuck had even happened. But there was another emotion mixed with the confusion. Fear. He was afraid. Terrified even. Worried, wondering, if his pants were on. Because moments prior to suddenly getting spirited away Luke had been… predisposed. Busy. Doing something that pants would get in the way of. The Bount wet his lips and let out a frustrated groan like sound before slowly, slowly, lifting his head to look down and-oh thank god his pants were on. Luke let out a relieved sigh and a laugh. ”Oh Shizuka is gonna kill me..” the Bount muttered to himself before rolling to his feet and looking around.

"Rise, you sacrificial lambs!"

A voice fucking screamed right into Luke’s ears. The Bount quickly turned to see who the source of the voice was. His eyes came to behold the unholy union of someone’s cringe internet OC and the spirit of Hot Topic. The Bount frowned in the direction of the monster. ”I am Satan, the King of Hell. You are here to serve as my playthings." Once again, Luke blinked. This guy said he was who? He said he was what? Luke blinked with confusion before his mouth hung open. Was this thing serious? ”Send me back.” Luke suddenly shouted at the horned man, crossing his arms across his chest. ”I don’t want to do this I don’t want to play. I already got stuck once in one stupid game in that mansion and why can I suddenly remember that happened.” Luke wasn’t completely convinced that this was real yet. After all, why would it be? Why would the so-proclaimed “King of Hell” kidnap him? Satan wasn’t real after all.

[Arcadus]

"Rise, you sacrificial lambs!"

Arcadus rose to look upon whatever had decided to summon him into it's domain. Clearly someone of ego and arrogance to match his own, if his outfit and demeanor were anything to go by. Standing a slight bit taller than the male, Arcadus looked and listened to both his surroundings, and to the words pouring out of the arrogant little prick and the "game" they had in mind. Well,  an eternity here wasn't likely. If he had too, Arcadus was sure he could manage to reverse summon a portal to the living worlds through his ring. But that was a risky proposition. 

Tilting his head, and letting his sapphire eyes glow as he looked down at Satan, ruler of Hell and the Regent to which the Sanctus bowed, Arcadus smiled. "I'd bested two of your generals, Orobas and Alastor, with words alone, what a pleasure it is to be given an audience of someone truly worthy of my presence and grace. Mr. Morningstar I presume, I'm glad you've invited me to such an interesting party, but I'm worried you might be overestimating my fellow guests."

Arcadus made an overexagerated bow, clearly enjoying being pitted against hellions again. What fun this would be for the two of them. 

[Leonie Dallmann]

Letting out a disgruntled huff as she arose from her place on the floor, Leonie cupped toward her head. She'd quite the killer headache at the moment; one she didn't expect was going to pass anytime soon. Not while in the presence of... well, Satan. Before she had the chance to say anything, it seemed that two others that were awake at the time did so instead.

Glancing over to the first individual, one that looked to be no different than a Human from his appearance, she did what she could to take in his appearance. She was to let no detail go unnoticed about this man, if she could help it; his tone of voice was similarly one that she would remember. Whomever he was, he certainly had a reason for being here; there was no doubt that everyone here had exactly that. She found it hard to believe the thought that they were simply whisked at random from the Three Worlds.

Moving her attention over to the tall blond man, Leonie scoffed the moment she made note of the features that defined him as 'Hollow'. While she couldn't quite put her finger on it, he'd felt a bit... stronger, since their last meeting. Either that, or her ability to read people had improved. It was a bit difficult to tell, but nonetheless something worth making note of. Perhaps she'd see a display of his capabilities at some point? Who was to say?

Sighing shortly thereafter, Leonie paid no attention toward the individuals that hadn't woken up yet. Gently tapping her chin, her arms in an almost crossed position, the girl squinted her eyes as she looked up toward this 'Satan'. "Hmm..." she hummed for a moment, "...No. Acknowledging your request would prove heretical. Under normal circumstances, I would not allow for besmirching myself with such ill repute. Regardless however, it seems my own travel techniques are failing me at the moment." She sighed once more.

Glancing around again to the colorful cast of individuals currently in Hell, Leonie couldn't help but chuckle. She'd begun to formulate an idea. "I shall entertain this 'game' for now," she started, "but don't expect me to work alongside this... filth." Once again, she glanced back toward the remainder of the group. This was going to prove to warrant quite the research indeed. Not only into this little place, giving way to further excursions into Hell, but like she'd theorized; everyone had been here for a reason. Surely they were warranting of a little digging themselves?

[Mirim Frost]

There was something to be said about going about one's daily life then suddenly appearing in a nightmare of sort. The newest inheritor of Primus Frost's soul, Mirim Frost, would be among one of the chosen for this sick game in Hell as she was whisked away in the middle of her weekly visit to the local market. In one moment she was in the process of swiping her card, in another she was swiping nothing but air. The short girl blinked and realized she wasn't in Karakura anymore, the smell of sulfur and hellish energies filling her nostrils. Her left eye would shift from its neutral white, in terms of glow, to a soft purple that reflected her mild confusion, not that many would be able to see beneath the eye patch that covered it so snuggly.

 Mirim glanced about her, noticing some familiar faces such as Luke and Leonie, but one that was entirely different in the rather muscular Arrancar. With a bag full of vegetables and doggy treats meant for Wolfy, that one hollow dog that had been following her lately, the fullbringer girl walked about the others as if convincing herself this wasn't a dream. She'd tug on Luke's shirt, feeling the fabric beneath her fingertips. Seemed real enough. "Is Luke", she'd comment aloud before moving to the Arrancar, poking gently into his side. "Is tall person", she'd confirm with a subtle nod of her head.

 She'd then stop by Leonie, the sight of her making her recall the injuries the Quincy had given her. As if prompted by her memory of their scuffle, a phantom pain ebbed in Mirim's side. There was no hard feelings, after all, but Mirim hadn't quite caught the Quincy's name. "Is Quincy, mmmhm", she'd muse, head tilting low to get a better view of the colder quincy to confirm. "Yup, Quincy." 

 The fullbringer turned as the king of hell spoke, authority ripping through her being, demanding her attention, though it did nothing to sate her confusion, only redirect it. When told to choose wisely, she knew there really wasn't a choice in the matter. In either case they were stuck here for the time being. "Not a choice.", she'd observe, but not quite denying what was offered. "I'll play game.", she'd confirm, not to incur the wrath of one that could Blink her out of existance.

[Celes Castellanos]

Celes' head was pounding. As the girl awoke, a wave of sweltering heat washed over her. Sweat rolled down her brow as she perspired. She clamored to her knees, each breath burning her lungs. Her hand rose, gently rubbing her scalp as she murmured, "What the hell..." As her eyes adjusted, she saw fire and brimstone. More and more, her eyes would adjust until they ripped open. A voice briefly assaulted her senses, "Rise, you sacrificial lambs!" The girl took a few more breaths and rose to her feet, looking up at the source. "You are in the presence of greatness and a mighty power you have never known to exist before now. I am Satan, the King of Hell. You are here to serve as my playthings."

Celes' eyes narrowed, pointing daggers at Lucifer. She softly growled. She looked around and saw that she was not the only unlucky contender. Others had been whisked away by the King of Hell himself and each one of them had something to say. One of them, a brown-haired man who seemed a little familiar spoke up. ”I don’t want to do this I don’t want to play. I already got stuck once in one stupid game in that mansion and why can I suddenly remember that happened.” The girl hummed softly. The scenario described by Luke was eerily similar to one she had experienced herself. Perhaps something to discuss later.

Then, another voice rose above the crowd. "I shall entertain this 'game' for now, "but don't expect me to work alongside this... filth." Celes blinked, able to taste the distance in the young woman's voice. She turned, looking at the Vandenreich Privat. Her eyes grew comically big as she looked at the girl who stood roughly 4 inches shorter than her. A voice made itself known to Celes and remarked, "What an insufferable little brat." Celes responded, "Huh. Something that we can agree on..."

The Shinigami pointed at Leonie and declared, "Who is this sassy, lost child?" She paused briefly, looking at Leonie a little more directly. "Shouldn't you be getting ready for prom? Or applying your eyeliner and brood in your room all day?", she mocked. The Captain then looked up at their "gracious host." "And you! If participating means getting out of here then I'll play ball. Just don't expect me to kiss ass to someone whose ego is so big that he's propably compensating for something." As expected, Honegumi couldn't help, but chuckle. "Huh. So you do have some bite. Careful, though. Something has been draining my strength since we arrived and I assume that it's even worse for you. The last thing I need is you getting us killed and trapped in Hell."

[Impossible]

Impo was a light sleeper, most anything near him had a tendency to wake him up. Which was why he was so surprised by the fact he was no longer in his apartment, and instead in some place that was quiet. In fact, he it felt like he had gone deaf. He rubbed his eyes, desperately trying to get the sleep out of them, as everything was too blurry for what he was used to. And his skin felt more... dead? It took him far too long to come to the conclusion that his senses were being dampened, and even longer to recognize that the muted sounds around him were voices. One that was less quiet than the others.

He was ordered to rise, and as loath as he was to follow the order of someone who kidnapped him, the floor was particularly uncomfortable. He made an effort to go about it as slowly as he could, however. He did listen to the man's speech, but he couldn't help but tilt his head to the side in confusion. "Actual Satan? Why was I dragged down here by actual Satan? This is the worst fever dream I've ever had." He would say he felt a headache coming on, but he could barely feel anything at the moment. It was like he was wearing a layer of... Leather? It was uncomfortable, was what he was trying to get at.

Going from impossibly high, back down to what he assumed was normal levels, well, it was a shock to the system at the very least. Hard to focus, too. And, if he was understanding 'Actual Satan', he would be trapped in literal Hell if he didn't play this game of his. He along with a few others. He thought he saw Luke off to the side. He didn't realize he was still around. Wonderful, now he had someone to blame for this spectacular stoke of misfortune. Aside from 'Actual Satan', which he was still having a tough time getting over. He wondered if Kitai was somewhere down here.
