Business had certainly been booming recently at Rēgīna. Perhaps it was the holiday season? University students were typically on break around these times. With very little to do at home, many of them sought out new hangout spots. Among them, Rēgīna and Cafe Maldoche reigned supreme. Rēgīna offered a far more traditional Tea House experience. All of the tea was handcrafted by Ailene herself. No machines or other artificial processes were used. She had begun importing different kinds of loose-leaf tea that were popular in different parts of the world. This way she could appeal to many different cultures and people.
This newfound success, however, was a double-edged sword. Despite the supposed break that University students had, Yui and Amber were nowhere to be seen. Ailene had no idea where the former was. The Fullbringer didn't really question it, but it did leave her worried. Amber, by contrast, was on a study-abroad trip to France. Ailene remembered what it was like to travel as an Arrancar. She could go anywhere she wanted, whenever she pleased. Becoming human was about give and take though. She liked Karakura and leaving Rēgīna unattended for a longer period of time was unacceptable.
Alas, Ailene was working on her own, trying to offer the populace of Karakura some peace of mind after the recent killings. They had grown more rampant of late. rumble rumble. Ailene sighed for a moment, "Well speak of the devil." She gave her patron their cup of tea before looking up at the noise coming from the shelf. It seemed that the "queen" herself had awoken. Mélusine yawned upon awakening, stretching her tail and wings. The scraping of wood filled the room causing everyone to suddenly look up. Nothing. No reaction. They'd simply focus on their own conversations, tea and the various baked goods that Ailene had in her display case.
The draconian figure had a brief look around. Spreading her wings, she glided down towards the countertop and focused on Ailene. Curling her tail around her base, the man sitting at the countertop briefly saw his tea get jostled ever so slightly. Once again, he'd offer no reaction to that fact that a dark-scaled dragon literally nested before him. "Mmm. That was one hell of a nap. I feel refreshed!" Ailene simply chuckled, paying her no heed. She was focused on fulfilling more orders.
Mélusine scoffed slightly and groaned. "Oh yeah. I almost forgot. You don't want to seem crazy and talk to the invisible dragon." There was nothing, but mocking and condescension in her voice. The Head Barista groaned ever so slightly. She turned around as the tea was brewing and pulled out a black marker. As she wrote, Mélusine perked up. "Hmm? What you writing there?" She'd effortlessly hop from the counter to Ailene's shoulder with grace, using her wings and tail to stabilize herself.
As she stared down at the intricate sign, she couldn't help, but give Ailene a look. Once more, the purple-haired woman paid her no attention. Putting a cap back onto the marker, Ailene picked up the sign and pressed it against the glass. Anyone who walked by would now see the big bold letters that read out, HELP WANTED!! She'd keep it up for a few days to gauge interest, but for now she had more important things on her mind. Returning behind the counter, Ailene prepared another batch of tea. Mélusine, meanwhile rolled her eyes and just hopped back onto the counter. "Well. I hope that someone interesting drops by soon or else I'm going to die of boredom..." She lazily rested her against against the wooden top.
