Jeff decides to follow the sword wielder, Shinigami maybe? Keeping about five feet apart as to ensure he had the room to freely fight without someone getting in his way. Noticing the window on the door he wanted to peer through it, but given his choice to keep a little distance his partner beat him to it. Sure, the other one was now up in the hall with him, but the Saika didn't waste the energy to glance back and see if he was following. If anything he'd probably hear the guy if they did decide to stick close with him and the Soul Reaper.



After a few moments the man decided to try opening the door, which Jeff would have helped given the chance. That wouldn't be possible it seems, as the Shinigami blocked the door. Well, that and a snake fell on his shoulders giving him a great big hug around the neck. Hmmmm, I barely feel anything, if this reptilian creature didn't cover my eye's I might not have even noticed it. Lost in thought the Saika barely even payed attention as this thing tried biting his left shoulder.



It wasn't until Jeff heard the loud hissing that he realized the snake had tried and failed to chomp on him. Letting out a chuckle he allowed the dead snake to fall to the ground, with the 700 difference in his Spiritual Pressure and the Snakes, it was impossible for the thing to be alive. Kicking the body he would look towards his to current comrades, "Does anyone have a snake in their boot by chance?" While asking that question a sadistic smile grew on his face.

(1) Marik would turn around as he felt a dull thud on his shoulder , "who the hell , just.." he would mumble as he looked about the room. Nothing taking a step foward he would look down as he foot came down on a limp danger noodle. He would look down with a confused look on his face as he hiked his backpack on his back re-adjusting it.

(2) "im fine but i think we know the culprit for all the murders" he would say with a light yawn as he knelt down picking up the dead snake , "although i have to say , this is concerning"  not the fact they had died but the fact marik didn't sense the creatures witch put him on edge.

(3) The idea he was someone's prey once more made his skin crawl , "lets keep moving i have a split shift at target and Walmart in half an our" he would say with a yawn as he decided to follow behind jeff as the man seemed to have a knack for opening doors.

Bonus: Supercharged with a bit of reiatsu, this otherwise normal energy drink has been pushed beyond what a typical energy drink is capable of. Where most give the imbiber the means of waking up with ease and keeping them awake this version of Venom forces the body to release adrenaline in large quantities. Thus, making the user not feel any loss of energy from doing anything. Attacks, energy use, high speed running. Etc. This lasts for two posts, the first being the post the user drinks it. This can be extended by drinking additional energy drinks however. . . as with drinking back to back energy drinks normally, there are consequences.



Drawbacks: While the energy drink makes the user have "infinite" stamina for the couple posts, once these posts are done, the user is hit with 2 posts of exhaustion afterwards. While the user is exhausted, they can only use 1 step tech a post and have their speed reduced by 100 points.



If multiple drinks are had the exhaustion posts increase by 1 for every can. The user also loses the means to use step techs during those exhaustion posts unless they have a 2 in Damage Recovery/Poison tolerance.

Well, it didn't seem to Jeff the others were in a hurry to go anywhere anytime soon. So without wasting much more time he heads over to the hatch lifting his hands up to grasp the circular handle. With little effort the Saika would start turning it to the right, for some reason the handle wouldn't budge. Tch, must be rusted, seems I'm gonna have to use some elbow grease to loosen it up. Increasing how much strength he was using, the handle finally starts turning. Sure there's a lot of resistance but that's absolutely from the rust and nothing else.







The handle finally jerks quickly as Jeff uses all of his strength, causing the mechanisms to snap for some reason and the hatch flies open. "See, when stuff doesn't work you just have to physically force it." Sticking his head through the opening he managed to get a decent look around, apperently this hatch lead to some kind of hallway. Climbing all the way up he's now standing in the hallway, both ways end about 60 feet with another hatch.







Now that he was actually in the hall Jeff could clearly see the carnage before him, blood pooling in many locations next to the corpses that it drained from. There was also many holes dotting the floors but mostly the ceiling. Lastly the floor had multiple rust spots with metal plates poking up every now and again. It really didn't help that the Saika thought he could hear something, but decided to shrug it off for now. There's no way it could be important information.







With a loud voice Jeff looks through the hatch he just used and shouts to the others, "You guy's coming? Something's clearly been up hear but I don't know where it could have gone." Turning to face the left hatch in the hall he screams once more, "Anyone still alive in here? If you are, I think your friends are dead. Though if you're the one or one's that did this, you seem good at your job."

Tala was more than a little worried about what he'd felt from the ping however before he could fully digest and relay this information to the other two, he flinches at the sound of the hatch being forced open and glances up at the Saika as he makes his way up and begins shouting. He groans internally as he realizes that not only has he been paired up with a Saika but one who seems to blatantly not care about alerting whoever or whatever was responsible for this to their location.



He glances back at Marik as the Arrancar had found his prize and sighs, What did I do to deserve getting mixed up in a mess like this? He shakes his head as he makes his way over to the hatch, glancing up at the Saika as he shouted down at them, "Do you really have to shout?" Without waiting for an answer, he starts to make his way up the hatch after Jeff was fully out of the way, knowing that the area was clear for the time being, where he noticed the arrows on the hatch and scoffs as he realizes that now it seems like this Saika also didn't know how to read instructions or likely just didn't care which also posed a problem if they ran into something in here and needed to work together.



Still, as much as he didn't like the fact that the Saika was announcing their presence so loudly, he didn't like how eerily quite it was in this place. Why were they brought here, what brought them here and what had caused all these deaths? All these questions race through Tala's mind as he pulls himself up into the hallway and glances around to observe the chaos and destruction of this room. He took particular interest in the odd holes in the walls, taking a step closer to one to inspect it, mumbling to himself as he did, "Wonder what did this..."



After he was done doing so, he glances down both hatches at either end of the hall and then glances at Jeff before shrugging and making his way down towards the hatch on the right, waiting a minute for Marik to appear from below if the Arrancar had even decided to follow them up before he tries to open the hatch the correct way if it was jammed or blocked in anyway.

(1) Marik would simply sigh as an avlanch of pristine laundry fell atop him , it wasnt unpleasent but ot was bothersome. He would take the time to steal a few pairs of fresh socks and stuff them in his back pack before moving his attention back to the locker.



(2) spying the energy drinks he would quickly slide them in his back pack , taking a moment to look at the can. 'these are gonna hit the spot later' he thought to himself as he stood making his way to follow behind the other two no sense in staying here damn thing might crash any moment.

All things considered the ship was doing surprisingly well, if this hallway was representative of the ship. Its inhabitants. . . not so much. Which didn't bode well for the trio but that could be dealt with later correct? Well yes and no. The flowing sound was steadily getting closer however there was another that was closer. A set of others. Initially attracted to the sound of the hatch slamming into the hinge, they slithered through the ceiling avoiding holes in it until they got close to where the sound was. And that's when they saw the trio. First Jeff, who looked around and then decided to yell out. Followed by Tala and his eventual decision to go down the hall towards the front of the ship. And finally, Marik with his backpack of snacks.







The band of scaled siblings nodded at one another with two going on ahead. They stayed away from the various holes and thankfully, because they were only a foot in thickness, they could easily slither around the cramped ceiling with all the piping, wiring, and holes. For Jeff and Tala, they'd sense nothing. Not even hearing the very faint sounds that they made. But Marik would be capable of hearing something. Soft, scratching as the scales shifted against the metal, and the occasional very gentle bump as certain pieces of thin metal dipped. If he tried to sense the nearby area, then he'd immediately realize that there were three snakes in the ceiling. One of which, was watching him and the other two were following his companions.







The snake closest to Marik would wait for a moment, unaware that Marik could sense and or hear its siblings moving around. And once it saw Marik's backside would jump through the nearest hole and try to bite into his shoulder. In the meantime, the other two snakes waited until Tala and Jeff went to the large metal door. It was dogged with the metal handles pointed down on either side of the door. To open it they'd have to pull them up. Though it looked like the hinges and moving parts were caked in blood and thus require a little more "omph" than usual to move em. On this door was also a small window about head level. If either looked through they'd be able to see yet another hallway and a door down the hall another 40-50 feet. Same as the one in front of them.







The hallway looked much the same sans that the bodies in this room looked more on the mutilated side. In addition, there were 3 doors on the left side of the hall, a single door on the right, and a couple more hatches on the ground to the right side of the hall. As mentioned, the other two snakes would be waiting for Tala and Jeff at the door before them. Several holes in the ceiling right above them. Should either decide to start opening the door that's when the two snakes would strike. But as mentioned they wouldn't see them. Their skin having become clear and translucent. At best a brief outline could be seen but that would otherwise without Marik's intervention it'd be hard for either of them to know the snakes were present until it was too late. Intervention or not, the two would fall onto Tala and Jeff's shoulders and begin to constrict themselves around their necks. Meanwhile biting down on their nearest arm. Tala's would be his right and Jeff's would be his left.

Tala nods as the Arrancar made his apperance, following the two up to the next level. Upon noticing that the door had a glass window, he did stop to take a moment and look inside to inspect the next hall for any signs of life, whether they be friendly or hostile. He still had an unsettling feeling about all this and one that grew each body he saw. There was no way some lowly creature took all these people out. What was odd to him was the amount of blood compared to the size and types of wounds that some of these people had. Perhaps this was multiple creatures and not just one entity.



However curiosity of what was in the following rooms and the overall feeling of just wanting to find a way out of here won Tala over as he began to try and open the doors, not bothering to ask Jeff for help as he had the distinct feeling that the Saika would just punch through the door instead. Or probably the window to open it from the other side. Yet before Tala could finish his train of thought, let alone put any effort into opening the door, he felt something suddenly drop on to him and begin squeezing.



This caused Tala's eyes to widen in alarm as he felt the snake try to bite him yet it would have very poor luck in attempting that as the snake's fakes and like most of it's body would then be covered in major cuts and lacerations from the cutback of it trying to bite the young Shinigami who had a much higher spiritual pressure than it could hope to have. This was actually the first time Tala had experienced anything like this before and was even somewhat surprised at the result which he'd only ever heard of.



However if it didn't outright die from the wounds and continued to try and choke the air out from him by his neck then he'd quickly reach up to grab it, which in reality he would have done almost as soon as he'd felt the pressure around his neck had the bite attempt not shocked him, and try to either pull it off or at least hold it back from squeezing anymore than it already has. Should he be unsuccessful in pulling it off and is just holding it in place, then he'd reflexively let his sword shift into it's Shikai whereupon he'd turn his head as best as he could while lifting it to touch the snake with the flat end of one the blades which were already super heated enough to slice through metal.



At this point, the snake should probably be dead or at least in enough pain that it'd let release Tala's neck which he'd then throw it away from him as quickly as he could while shifting into a defensive stance with both hands on his zan. He'd glance over at the other two to make sure they were fairing okay, doubting that either would really be struggling with the snake if he was able to deal with his but he does address a concern once all the snakes were dealt with, "Did anyone get bit?"

It seemed that both Ailene and Mélusine had their own respective troubles. Having lashed out at Charlotte was a bad move, but the ex-Espada had little choice. "If it's a fight you're looking for, girl, then I am MORE than glad to deliver!" Feeling the oppressive spiritual energy radiate from the woman was frightening. She was ashamed to admit it. Thankfully, she'd be saved by the bell. "Charlotte! Please, for both our sakes; calm the heck down! You don't need to be fighting right now!"

Ailene took a deep breath and sighed, clearly relieved. She practically muttered under her breath, "Bless you, Serenity..."  Even Charlotte was forced to acknowledge that she had been disarmed. "We'll continue this talk later," Ailene begrudgingly nodded. In truth? She had no desire to defend herself, but she knew better than to defy this woman even more. Nevertheless, it seemed that they'd have to find out where the hell they were. Before that though, it seemed that trouble was looming.

As the ship rocked and tiles came crumbling down, the situation went from bad to chilling. The hum of the lights suddenly raised to a deafening pitch. In fact, it seemed that they'd practically shatter! Then they started to flicker! The room grew dark, the light returning every few seconds to reveal the silhouette of Charlotte carve a snake practically in two. After a few more flickers, the lights went out entirely, the bulbs shattering, and the room was silent... Charlotte's silhouette had disappeared into the shadows. Ailene briefly called out into the darkness. "C- Charlotte..? Mélusine?"

Mélusine, on the other hand, was staring down the Mod Soul with a predatory grin. She had met this plushie before deep within the confines of the of Ailene's own soul. At the time, Shio was too much of an enigma to the callous wyvern. Now, however, Shio had time to grow while Mélusine was left a shell of her former self. A fact that that the Mod Soul felt important enough to remind her of, "Listen here, you're so weak now that-" Had Shio not been interrupted by the rocking of the ship, Mélusine would have bit back herself. Unfortunately, she was far too busy with briefly bouncing up and down with gravity much like the Mod Soul.

Once it had finished and before Mélusine even had a chance to recover, it seemed that Shio had made her move. Bending the environment around her, the Mod Soul turned the hallway into a spike pit! The snake that almost had a chance to lash out against the dark-scaled dragon was promptly skewered. Before she knew it, one of the spikes was conveniently mere inches away from her throat. Needless to say, Mélusine was beyond livid. She barely even paid attention to the contorting sister of the Primera Espada. Her focus was entirely on Shio.

Even as the spikes receded, Mélusine stared at Shio. Her pupil constricted much like that of a cat, and she was left paralyzed for a few moments out of shere fucking bloody rage. She dug her claws into the metal underneath and hissed loudly. "Okay! That's it! I'm gonna tear into your body in search of that fucking pill of yours!" Not wasting another word, the wyvern used a Bringer Light to close the distance and readying herself to rake right across the Mod Soul's stuff-filled body. Unfortunately... she wouldn't get the chance as the lights suddenly shut off and the hallway fell into darkness.

Once the lights in the hallway turned on again, Ailene found herself in the same room with one notable change. Charlotte had completely vanished! She couldn't hear any movements besides a sudden crash! Mélusine careened into the metal flooring and slid to a grinding halt in front of the door. Raising herself to her feet, the little wyrmling shook it out and growled loudly. Shio was nowhere to be found. "Hollow! GET BACK HERE! I'M GOING TO RIP YOUR FUCKING SOUL APART!" Her yell was furious. Ailene cautiously approached and looked out into the corridor. "W- What the hell happened just now?..." Even yet, Mélusine still continued to growl softly. "Cowards must have ran off and left us here!" 

Something told Ailene that the answer was likely more complicated. Especially given the seemingly paranormal activities just now. Mélusine sighed and strolled into the room they all started in. "Well... if we're gonna start searching for a way out, I'm not gonna deal with being small. Cover me for a moment?" Ailene nodded. Just as once before at the University, Mélusine wrapped herself in a cocoon of shadow. It beat like a heart for a few moments. This time, Ailene wouldn't be caught off guard. After all, Mélusine had taken a few minutes to explain the technique she had developed to blend in better. As the cocoon finally detonated, Mélusine would arise in her new form, much like the one she had used before. She gently squeezed her own hands for a moment and sighed. "Okay. Let's go!" Grabbing Ailene's hand with a second though, Mélusine dragged Ailene out into the hallway and turned left. If they were goin to explore this place... they might as well do it together!

Description: Given her draconian form, Mélusine recognizes herself as a sight to behold. However, as she learned from Talia, sometimes subtlety has its own advantages. Sometimes it is necessary to become a wolf among sheep. Using her status as a living Fullbring and a touch of reiatsu, Shadeborne allows Mélusine to effectively forge herself a body. Upon touching a shadow, Mélusine can momentarily wrap herself into a chrysalis. While within this chrysalis, she has to focus on an appearance. This form must be humanoid and will usually not have any animalistic characteristics such as claws, horns, etc. Every other feature such as skin tone, hair color, and even clothing is limited only by her imagination.

This form effectively acts as a gigai, giving Mélusine a physical body to interact with others. While using Shadeborne, Mélusine's spiritual signature is always suppressed. Those with an ES of 200 may sense the underlying spiritual energy. Given the composition of the form, each rank in Shadow Magicks increases this ES requirement by 200. Conversely, ranks in Anti-Stealth reduce this ES requirement by 200. Even if this ES requirement can't be reached, Mélusine may flare her reiatsu, allowing those in close proximity to sense her. 

How to Use: Touch a shadow, focusing it into a shell, while keeping an appearance in mind.

Drawbacks: Utilizing Shadeborne requires an input of 200 reiatsu; 100 for the chrysalis and 100 for shaping it into a body. Despite the ES requirement, sensory techniques of equal class or higher may still sense her suppressed spiritual energy. Upon assuming a form, Mélusine would have to utilize Shadeborne again, cost included, to change it. Despite the natural suppression, utilizing reiatsu in any capacity does not hide those flares. These shadows provide no protection and any damage to this faux body will be reflected on Mélusine once Shadeborne is dismissed. Despite sharing a soul with Ailene, this technique is entirely inaccessible to Ailene and still takes up a cinematic tech slot.

The snakes that had shown themselves were killed almost on contact with all present. Though they were enhanced beyond a normal snake they were nothing compared to the spiritual backlash of all present. Upon attempting to bite any individual present they'd almost explode given how many injuries would nearly instantaneously appear of their bodies. The most inconvenient thing was that snake blood was coating some of their body and was cooling on their person. However, this was only the beginning. As the group would hear before they saw the newest arrival to the scene. Melusine's voice would roar out through the ship alert any and everything in the nearby vicinity just who was present and that they were pissed. But before any could really do anything about it, the ship decided that it had other plans for all involved.



First and foremost, one of the engines exploded. This sent a shockwave through the entire ship, not destroying it but certainly causing all present to fall to their knees. Then came the more terrifying part. The other engines due to the stress began slow down . . . and stopped. The ship hovered for a moment before slowly dropping and then gaining more momentum as the seconds passed and turned into almost a minute. The ship was shaking violently and those within were likely freefalling with it or otherwise on the ceiling. While the entire endeavor was terrifying for its own reasons the ship did manage to catch itself as the other engines whirred back to life and went into emergency overdrive. The ship "slammed" into nothing but felt like it stopped harshly.



This would likely cause all within to slam into the ground again. For Melusine and Ailene this meant that they'd slam into the floor, which would then start to bend and quickly break beneath them. From the floor they were previously on they fell onto the same floor as the main group, conveniently falling on top of Jeff. They were not alone however as several conjoined swarms of snakes were thrown from the floor, ceiling, and walls onto the floor around the group as well. This caused yet another major dent only for the floor to break beneath them and break two more floors in the process. By the time the group finally stopped falling they were in a spacious room filled to the brim with boxes of all sorts of materials. Some clearly for maintenance purposes while others were for more common luxuries such as paper, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc.



The room was something of a maze with boxes thrown around and only the trappings of cloth grids to ensure that the entire room wasn't unnavigatable. The room itself was about 80 feet long from the back to the front while the sides were 40 feet apart. On the other side of the room, forward of the group was a metal stairway. One going up and one going further into the belly of the ship. Between them were the snakes from before having been thrown around and becoming battered and bruised. They were slowly coming to and if given enough time were going to start coming after the group as a whole. And given they were effectively one big swarm of snakes per "entity" it wasn't going to be easy getting past them. Let alone trying to kill them off as it couldn't easily be determined how many snakes made up one swarm.

It seemed that his question would remain unanswered as he was interrupted by the ferocious roar of Mélusine just before the engines gave out, the following shockwave sending Tala to his knees with a grunt of pain. "What the hec-" He was interrupted again as he tried to get back to his feet and found himself now being slammed into the ceiling. He let's out another grunt and pained sound as the air was knocked out from him, his mind barely able to process what was happening and panic to begin building as the feeling of falling overwhelmed him, his stomach leaping up into his throat.

This feeling didn't last very long it would seem as the ship caught itself and he found himself being slammed back into the floor with a groan. Of course this wasn't the end of the chaos as the sound of the metal above them breaking causes him to whip his head around just in time to see Ailene and Mélusine come crashing through the ceiling and crush Jeff underneath them. Tala was absolutely shocked by all this however he still couldn't react to it as the ball of snakes came crashing down as well and ended up caving in the floor below them, sending them all further into the depths of the ship.

Tala was properly battered and bruised from all the collisions now as he lets out a loud groan and pushes himself to his feet, "What in the world was all that?" He glances around and quickly retrieves his bladed staff before returning his attention to the group, "Is everyone okay?" However his attention is quickly drawn away from the group as he catches the sound of hissing from the several mass of snakes that had fallen with them. He quickly stands up and takes a guarded stance.

He frantically begins glancing around and this is when he spots the two ladders and then returns his attention to the snakes as he speaks over his shoulders for the group to hear him, "We have some company with us. We need to move now. I say we go up back up the way we came." He doesn't make any movement however, as he was opting to wait for the group to choose a path and would then follow them. However if they didn't make a decision before the snakes started to approach them, he'd then quickly swing his sword in a wide arc in front of him, sending a wave of heat barreling towards the snakes at a speed of 300. Whether it hit or not, the impact would cause a mini and localized explosion, setting and catching fire to anything that was flammable in its path.

{Hearth's Warmth}By controlling and combining the heat that Hestia gives off with his own Reiatsu, Tala is able to launch a wave of intense heat towards his target when he swings his zanpakutou. It travels at a speed of 300 and all flammable objects will be set aflame. Once it hits it's target, it will feel like a small explosive has gone off and leave second degree burns.

Drawbacks: Cost 100 reiatsu to use. This technique can also be noticed quite easily as it does appear as a heat vapor. As long as someone has a 50 in Instinct or Energy Sensory, they will be able to notice it. The burns can also be pushed through with Heat Tolerance 2.
