Physical Description:
Ajraka is an otter, with a rather cute black button nose and rather large brown-yellow eyes. Her fur is a very soft brown color which shifts to a yellowish cream at her throat and other ventral parts of her body such as the inside of her thighs and under her pits. This darkens to black at the hands and feet but otherwise remains very constant along her form. She has thick fur, designed to be waterproof as well as to handle the constant secretion of oil. Even outside of her Yaseishin her entire body is often shining with that oil secretion and she can be a little slimy to the touch. The use of her claws is generally necessary when handling anything she can't get wet but thankfully the ammount of practicedoing this makes her very good with her pointed nails.
Since her adoption, development of her spiritual powers, upbringing as a Kuchiki under her Adoptive Father Kyomei, the enslavement under the Nameless Admiral, and a number of subsequent combat encounters, Ajraka has changed CONSIDERABLY. Having hit a sort of second Puberty, Ajraka has grown significantly larger from her almost juvenile size previously compared to the norm for her clan. Her chest is ALMOST entirely flat, being at most considered an A cup and depending on how she is moving or stretching she can look entirely flat.
Over eight feet in height and MUCH more full in her body, Ajraka has blossomed from an adrogynous, feral otter into a rather massive, graceful, and well developed young woman (Well, everywhere except her chest). Her physizque having filled out CONSIDERABLY (at least by otter standards as generally their bodies remain relatively sleek as they are water dwellers) since her sudden growth spurt. This becomes all the more obvious when one takes into account the behavioral development that has gone with it. Ajraka having learned to hold herself to an incredible standard of grace and fluidity. Irregardless of her mucus secretions as well as her vicious dental anatomy, Ajraka has come to be a stunning example of a beast clan and dresses the part. That said she is still a VERY lithe woman, with a swimmer-s body and a long tail which is about as long as she is tall, and just as thick and powerful as one of her legs.
Since her induction as head of a crew, she has come to blend the rugged and functional clothing that her crew has come to wear with the finery that her name as a Kuchiki typically demands. As such, it is entirely common to find her with gorgeous yet functional outfits, having developed something of a roguish flair to her wardrobe, she is often found with a number of colorful sashes and bandanas on her person, typically mixed in with chinese-style dresses and garbs which blend wonderfully with her anatomy and already-sleek look.

Dislikes:
Arrancar: Very early in her life as a member of the Kuchiki, she encountered an arrancar who poisoned her. This poison caused lactic acid to freely build up in her muscles without check, causing severe corrosion from the inside and a very large ammount of pain as a result of this. Later on she wound up resolving this personal issue with the arrancar themselves, however to this day she maintains a healthy waryness and bit of trigger-happiness when it comes to arrancar.
Sinners: Even in Las Arenas it is an incessant problem when sinners begin to lapse into their old ways, the mechanism of the shard Cities not quite dealing well with their particular brand of badness. Because of this, it is sinners who are most often executed in Las Arenas, meaning that Ajraka is very watchful of these individuals.
Noble Parties: While she has certainly found ways to have fun at them, she dislikes the concept of noble parties. A bunch of dressed up souls trying to impress and outdo one another. she often makes a note to make a bit of a nuisance of herself at these events, much to her own enjoyment.
Serious Sallies: An incredibly loving and exuberant woman, Ajraka does not like it when people refuse to cheer or lighten up. Especially because of how physically engaging she can be, she does tend to get into a lot of fights this way. Nothing sours a party like someone who doesn't know how to have fun!
Posturing: While Ajraka is certainly intelligent, she is still an animal at heart. As such she is much more liable to demonstrate by action than to go around telling people what she is capable of. As such she tends to not even pay attention to verbal threats or warnings unless the situation is dire and involves not just her own saety, but the safety of innocents and/or her crew.
Kagami Kawada: Perhaps one of the more sour individuals she had ever met, she managed to best him in a tussle ages ago, and since then she hasn't heard from him. She is very convinced that this is a case of being a sore loser and she has a plan to hopefully make him a bit more happy. That said, she does not have high hopes.
People grabbing her Whiskers: Holy Fucking Otter Jesus NO! Those are very sensitive! How would you like me pulling bits of your eyeballs out?!
Outter Rukongai Districts: Not because they are poor, but because they are MEAN! During her infancy she had to move to the inner circles of the rukongai just to avoid people trying to eat her!
Enormous Tits: She isn't really opposed to them, she is simply afraid of them. Her species does not develop very protrusive breasts, as such they seem a little unnatural to her and while she does play with them, she does have a mild fear of what they might be capable of.
Likes:
Physical Contact!: Ajraka enjoys touching just about everything. People, objects, herself, you, your mom, anything she can touch she generally will unless she is in a very formal setting.
Hollows: Above all else Hollows can generally respect strength and fall in line much more readily than arrancar do. Because of this she actually ha quite a pleasant view of them, compared to most other races. She is particularly very interested in the less hostile breeds.
Red Meats: Being a carnivore obviously she loves seafood, but what most people don't know is that she actually also adores red meats and the like, even going out of her way to add meat to dishes you wouldn't normally: salads, pastries, ect. She even has come to making her own smoked jerky and using it like a sprinkling seasoning on anything she puts in her mouth. She loves finding out new meats to jerk.
Shinigami: Well duh she was raised as a kuchiki! Initially they were merely a means to an end, one day Kyomei walked into her life and she was fascinated with kido ever since, but more than that she has found that many shinigami can be quite personable and even conductive to her rowdy and animalistic lifestyle. Even though she is considerably tamer than she used to be, it still brings her joy when she finds shinigami who play along.
Reptile Beast Clan: A Result of her encounter with Umaroth, Ajraka has come to be quite fond of the scaly variety of beast clan, even going so far as to hunt for them to try and get them to join her crew, as a crew is quite a lot like a pack to begin with!
Thieves: Being an
Shiny things!": she's an otter of course she loves shiny things! Sometimes she can even be distracted from a conversation when a particular bauble catches her eye. she also tends to steal them.
Flaws:
Dumb Animal: She is smart, she can stalk, she can do so many cool things! However Ajraka is and always will be a playful otter at heart. While she is certainly capable of deeper meaningful discussions, the truth of it is that most times she doesn't REALLY care about the subject. she can care about the person the subject is about, but generally she is perfectly content thinking in simpler terms, and because of this she can sometimes be insensitive, impulsive, and crude. Not to mention uncomfortably pragmatic.
Blitzing: Ajraka has never been one to wait stuff out. While she will rarely do so if there is a CONSIDERABLE danger just waltzing around infront of her face, most times her solution to a problem is to get shit done as fast and as hard as possible.
FURRY!: The fact that she is not only an animal at heart, but a HUGE FUCKING OTTER can very much get in her way. People just treat her differently, especially after seeing the way she acts and as such she can be a bit outcast in many situations. This was only exacerbated after her growth spurt and caused further problems with visiting a normal sized dwelling. The MOST trouble is when she visits the world of the living.
Habits:
Being a Pirate: Not literally, but acting like one. Described at times as 'Perilous Beast', she can be rather loud and obnoxiously extroverted. Social, opinionated, and laid-back to boot , she is always one to throw herself into the archetype of uncanny rogue whenever possible.
Kuchiki Princess: For more professional settings, Ajraka tends to overgo this sort of transformation. As a result of the Kuchiki mentors mistaking her for a male, her mannerisms are very gentlemanly and she expecially has a habit of hitting on women, particularly noble ladies. This persona can even pop up randomly, sometimes when she is meeting a new person or other times when she is just having fun she may suddenly begin speaking and behaving in a MOSt noble-like fashion.
Licking People: Because of how ridiculously fast she is, and the fact that every inch of her body is a slimy mess, she often is not caught in the act, however Ajraka FIRMLY believes that a person's taste has a lot to do with the kind of person they are! As such she often will sneak a tongueslide whenever she can to get a real read on a person.
Lounging: Ajraka almost always drapes herself around, across, or ontop of things that are around her. she rarely ever sits normally (Generally only at noble events but even then she may still fall into this habit), and even going so far as to put herself onto people assuming she thinks that they can handle at least a portion of her body weight. Spoiler: they usually can't.
Fears:
Being Stupid Again: The value of learning was something she didn't have for a very long time. For ages and ages learning just had no use for her. She was content, and simply went by with life passing her by. It wasn't until a certain noble kuchiki showed her a bit of magic that she truly came to find that knowledge was power. Deep deep in her soul, the one thing she fears is being returned to that stupid, simple beast.
Mortality: Like any animal, her life is the most important thing to her. While over time, her family slowly began to pull ahead of that, she STILL values her life WAY more than a lot of other people expect her to. she's loving, friendly, and very affectionate, but if it's her or someone else she tends to pick herself. Death is the ultimate buzzkill, and if she thinks someone is capable of killing her, she treats them with tremendous respect.
Dishonor to Kyomei: Not even her family to be honest, but specifically her adopted father. She deeply values his opinion, to the point where she has taken spars with her father WAY too serious because of her desire to impress and gain more of his respect. She loves him from the bottom of her heart, and in actuality, he is probably the only singular living thing she would give her life for. She owes him everything.
Goals:
Have Kits: As an animal, that's pretty much a huge goal for her existence, but of course for non-BC thats pretty hard, even just outside of her species. As such it would be quite a rigorous undertaking, and the fact that she currently doesn't have any living love interests (Raygin rest in peace) this is still a very far off dream.
Head of the Kuchiki: Proposterous? Maybe, but she really does want to head the Kuchiki clan one day, if only because she wants to succeed her father even belatedly. He means the world to her and seeing how much he cares about the position, she would die if it meant taking up and doing that job well long enough to matter. The notion that it would bring even greater honor to her father: The man who turned a streetrat beast into a worthy head of the household? She could think of no greater honor.

In bygone times Ajraka was quite the firecracker. Simple, lacking in any great attention span aside from shiny objects, she would constantly rove the kuchiki halls, pestering and harassing her fellow family members, and also relishing in the occassional pats and such she would receive. For all intents and purposes she was a pet, a sort of animal kept around to humor Kyomei. And indeed for a long time that is all she ever WANTED to be! But of course time changes all things, and even this hundred year old otter found something worth learning about. Her Adoptive Father.
Even as she grew more intelligent and tactile, some aspects of her personality remain the same. First and foremost she is incredibly playful. Often telling jokes, pulling pranks, picking people up, breaking into song or rhyme and even going so far as to hit on people randomly regardless of gender (Though this does happen much more frequently with females), she is always up for expressing herself as loudly and uniquely as possible. She has a great deal of pride in her speed and strength, often going out of her way to show off for people, especially other Kuchikis.
However it is her leadership skills that have brought her the most pride. Since her stranding in hueco mundo, Ajraka came to be the Admiral of a crew, and it was this responsibility that garnered a new lease on life. Valuing other people and helping them grow. Teaching the hollows and arrancar to respect and even enjoy her company, she came to learn just how satisfying it can be to turn even the most wild and reckless of monsters into respectable and capable individuals. It was these qualities that brought her to be an Admiral of the Wandering Sands in the first place.

Fighting Style: Fighting to Ajraka in most cases is generally one big game. making it her mission to enjoy herself even in life-threatening situations, she will often perform various feats to both intimidate and try to impress her opponents. The greatest manner of this s Blitzing and showing off her incredible reaction abilities, snaring, stealing, and performing other acts that seemingly should be impossible, Ajraka is a ready and avid showman and only in the most dire of situations will she abandon her signature smile when fighting something.
Of course she is not without a sense of style and tactics. Mostly she relies on her instincts, the memery of fighting so many differeny individuals and her gut adaptability have often been more than enough for her to get through a situation, and generally in most instances her tremendous instincts allow her to think through a course of action in a matter of fractions of a second. Because of this her actions often seem seamless and fluid, as if her body were reacting all on it's own without her involvement in the slightest. At times she can use this to move the absolute minimum distance to accomplish a task, and then quickly move back in place, senka being perhaps one of her favored techniques to use.
However much more often she will simply outmaneuver her opponents, using her tremendous speed and instinct to weedle through any pattern of attack or defense and simply apply as much raw power to a person as she could possibly muster, bending and twisting her opponents. Not only this but she has adopted something of a grappler's fighting style, a result of her having terrible spiritual pressure for the longest of times, meaning that she often had to fight assuming that just about anyone and everyone could cause cutback for her. Initially she mitigated this by using Yaseishin liberally, but as time went on and that was no longer a viable option she simply began to specialize as a grappler.
Yaseishin Name Lutra Anchin (Lutra Hunter)
Yaseishin Appearance:
During her Yaseishin, Ajraka 's fur turns completely white, the follicles hollowing out and showing that pink flesh beneath as they lose all pigment and turn into little tubules for her glands to secrete her oil. Additionally a line of spines grow along her back and the dorsal section of her tail, sweeping slightly and pointed like quills, these are a separate section of glands, most noteably used for her Shock Oil. Yaseishin Overall Ability:
Lutra Oil Ajraka's main method of her Yaseishin has to do with the oil that she secretes from her body at all times. This oil has a variety of unusual properties and constantly drips from her form. The main power of the oil comes from it's mollectular structure which changes as time goes on and Ajraka's yaseishin develops, producing new quirks and thus new features in it's structure.
Yaseishin Techniques:
Lutra Tos: shataakh (Lutra Oil: Burn)
Class: 6, 5, 4, 3
Description: Ajraka's Oil first and foremost ability is it's ability to collect heat from her body as she moves around. Whenever Ajraka moves at 250 speed or more, her oil begins to heat up, after two posts of moving at this speed (Or 1 post of moving at 350 or more speed), it promptly begins to boil at the outer layers, resulting in a large corona of burning oil to surround her. This oil's OS is equal to 500 (Mitigated by the boiling point which varies by class) when it pertains to burning or melting through something. If Ajraka stops moving at at least 350 speed for 2 consecutive posts, then the oil ceases to boil, meaning that maintaining this corona is taxing to her stamina.
At Class 5, the Oil burns at an OS of 600.
At Class 4, not only does Ajraka's oil boil from movement, but when it rapidly cools as a result of landing on something after being vented from her body, the rapid cooling process causes the oil to crystallize and harden into a solid. This solid Oil takes on an OS equal to 75% of the Oil OS. Additionally, Ajraka can force a layer of this oil to harden by spending 50 reiatsu to cover a limb or section of the body (Arm, leg, torso, head, ect) without having to make it boil first. However, when using the oil to encase any part of her body, this does limit her ability to move that part of her, reducing her speed by 10% for whatever section of her body is encased (This stacks per layer), allowing her to take powerful hits, but sacrificing her mobility to do so.
At Class 3, this oil burns at an OS of 800.
Lutra Tos: Shok (Lutra Oil: Shock)
Class: 6, 5, 4, 3
Description: Ajraka's Oil has a considerable ability to store electrical potential. So much so that as Ajraka moves around, she begins building up charge in the oil. Each post, Ajraka gains electrical charge equal to the average of the max speed and strength she used in that post (If the fastest she moved was 400 and she used 400 strength at most, then she gains 400 charge that post. Likewise 200 and 600 respectively would also result in 400 charge). She is able to build charge up to 20% of her reiatsu pool. This charge causes a disruptive electrical field, dampening any reiatsu-type attacks that happen within 5 meters of her oil , be it airborne or on something. Dampened reiatsu attacks have 50% potency and speed. Only reiatsu attacks which have an OS inferior or equal to the charge of Ajraka's oil will be effected.
If Ajraka does not gain charge for two consecutive posts then the charge is lost. Whenever an attack is dampened by this field, the Charge is reduced by the OS of the attack (Prior to being halved). Charge can only be gained if Ajraka is moving at a speed of at least 400.
At Class 5, not only can this oil store electricity, but by secreting a special oil from Ajraka's body, she can briefly disrupt it's ability to store it, causing a massive, sudden discharge of electricity that courses through all of her oil airborne or liquid. While this does not damage her, it can cause considerable indiscriminate damage to her surroundings. However, this takes time, as such Ajraka cannot gain charge and cause a discharge in the same post (Her Charge will always be at 0 at the end of a discharge and the post o the discharge she cannot get in any last minute increases to charge). This discharge costs 100 reiatsu to accomplish. Charge lost due to inactivity does not cause a discharge, it is lost harmlessly.
The Damage by this discharge is generally uniform throughout whatever it passes through. Frying flesh, skin, whatever nonconductive materials around it, and generally destroying the environment. On a living thing, this causes deep burns throughout the entirety of their body, as though they had been electrocuted or struck by lightning.
At Class 5, Ajraka can store up to 40% of her reiatsu pool in charge.
At Class 4, Ajraka can store up to 60% of her reiatsu pool in charge.
At class 3, the cost of a discharge is reduced to 50 reiatsu.
Lutra Tos: Impulis (Lutra Oil: Impulse)
Class: 6, 5, 4, 3
Description: Ajraka's oil also has a remarkable ability to conduct nervous impulses and accomplished by the use of the electrical field generated by Lutra Oil Shok so long as Ajraka has at least 500 Charge at the beginning of the post. As such, so long as the oil is within 5 meters of Ajraka's body, she is capable of manipulating it in simple ways. This costs 50 reiatsu to accomplish per post. However, if the oil is part of the oil that is in direct contact with her body (having not yet dripped from it) and the motion does not cause it to break a chain of contact (there has to be line of contact that allows it to conduct without her having to project it through open air) then it does not require reiatsu. Oil controlled in this manner acts as though it had 200 strength and 400 speed.
Additionally, this manipulation is not specific, whenever this ability is used, ALL of the oil that qualifies to be manipulated is moved, as it is effected by the electrical field generated by Ajraka's body and technique, essentially making temporary electromagnetic fields that the oil responds to. As such the motions are very simple, allowing Ajraka to shunt the oil in a particular direction, or collapse in on a certain point. However any more specific actions are impossible.

History:
Since her induction as a Kuchiki, Ajraka's endeavors have spanned an INCREDIBLE array of circumstances and adventure that has transformed the otherwise simple life of a mere beggar/thief roaming around the noble district of the rukongai, into a powerful and prestigious member of the Kuchiki family, and a commander of a hollow vessel for The Seven Sands.
Adoption
In the begining of course, ajraka was little more than a stray water-rat in the inner rukongai districts. Illiterate, unable and generally unwilling to speak or understand language, and of all things a cheeky, simple thief with nothing better to do than to steal shiny things and eat fish. Ajraka was but a child with not only little rhyme or reason for growth, but no WILL to do so. She was stagnant. She had everything she wanted and had no reason to do anything to the contrry, learning barely what she needed or deemed necessary, and leaving everything else to the wayside.
That is UNTIL she came upon Kyomei Kuchiki. With his shiny hairpins and an amazing ability to turn rocks into shiny things that were fun to chew on, for the first time in her life, Ajraka actually WANTED to learn. She was not satisfied with simply taking all of the shiny things offered, but she wanted to know how it happened. And even more so, she found that the man was absolutely heartwarming. Kind, gentle, understanding. Downright FATHERLY. And indeed, this man did become her adoptive father. Even if perhaps his expectations at the time were more that she would become like a family pet. And BOY, did she turn out to destroy those expectations!
Even Immediately, Ajraka showed to be an incredible learner as well as an absolute delight. Despite her prankish and somewhat mischeivous nature, Ajraka was a tremendous learner and a young woman of incredible curiosity. As shown in her Interaction with one of her cousins but also in her interaction with Kagami Murai both of whom bore witness to not only Ajraka's developing intelligence and vocabulary, but also her flourishing personality.
But none of that compared to the development inspired by the Arrancar Tsajara Dread, an arrancar she not only fought and lost to, but an individual who actually had a very considerable impact on Ajraka's life. First and FOREMOST of which, having inspired a very ferrocious and temporary hatred for hollowsm and an inspiring ass-whupping which led Ajraka to develop beyond a simple brutish approach to combat.
This loss, in fact, fueled her decision not only to visit into the wilderness, an endeavor which led her to meet the Beastclan Couple Zahra and Qatelawkajfhjba, as well as the decision to join a squad of shinigami on a recon mission to Hueco Mundo. an incredibly dangerous and risky mission, one that would change the course of her life
forever...
Losing the rest of the shinigami that accompanied her on the mission. Ajraka and a few members of that team (whom would later die) were assaulted and captured by a crew of Hollows and Arrancars currently in possession of a Ship from Las Septimas Arenas , specifically the Wandering Sands. Captured and enslaved to row in the lower decks of the ship in order to feed spiritual energy to the gillian ship itself, ajraka was subject to all of the hardships and duress of enslavement. Her only saving grace? The Ship's captain took a liking to her. Saving her from the more depraved imaginations of the crew, the man frequently had her accompany him in his quarters, showing her the mechanisms behind the operation of the ship, and instructing her on a variety of other skills.
Before long however, the surviving shinigami who had come with her were staging a rebellion. and for that, they asked her to keep the captain busy while they took over the ship. Unable to really understand and process what that meant, she did her best. Only to find that the captain understood fully and completely what was going on. but rather than cutting her down, he did something else instead. He confessed to Ajraka. Saying that his crew was perhaps the dirtiest and most impure lot he had ever held command over. But more importantly, that wether he liked it or not, he was likely to die from this mutiny, and indeed, he seemed to be looking forward to it.
In the sudden rush of explanation, he instructed Ajraka to take credit for his death. Her strength would be enough to keep the surviving crew scared and obedient, and that she would need to take control of the ship. But perhaps MOST unusually, wqhat he did was apologize. Apologize that he had to do this to her. apologize that by doing this, he was binding her to his ship, that now if she tried to leave, she would be killed, and everyone else she cared about on that ship would likely die too.
Before she knew it, he had placed er hands on him, and with one last heartfelt apology, he killed himself, framing her in the process. With the mutiny in full swing outside, it wasn't long before the majority of the cruel crew had been killed or subjugated, the freed slaves taking over the ship, and suddenly Ajraka was in charge.
For a very long time, Ajraka's life became keeping the ship in order. Punishing the unruly crew, ensuring that the freed slaves recovered from their abuse and neglect at the hands of their slavers, and ....strangely... honoring the request of the dying Admiral. With the ship under bher command, she realized that she could go just about anywhere she wanted. But as she looked upon those starved slaves, humans shinigami, hollows, and mod souls, bounts and even quincy. She found that she could not abandon them. she found herself remembering all that Kyomei had done for her. Taking a baive, young little pup like her in, and not only saving her from the life of a lost, purposeless nothing, but giving her something to live for.
She found herself... unable to abandon her crew. Time and time again, even when visiting the wilderness in the soul society, she refrained from trying to return home. Her place was with her crew, who wether she liked it or not, stood no chance without her. And certainly were no longer fit to return to whatever places they had come from.
Of course, eventually, it was during a leisurely visit to the world of the living, that once again she was tested. During a Meteor Shower she found herself once again meeting that Arrancar from before. And she was unable to restrain herself. Attacking the woman on sight, she attempted to ravage the nonviolent arrancar, dragging a Mod soul as well as a Quincy into the encounter as well. and despite this... she found herself eventually siding with the arrancar. Amidst all of the battle, when the quincy seemed to be asserting her power over the rest of them, it was her, along with the arrancar and the mod soul who wound up standing up to them.
She had realized that the arrancar had never meant her harm, and that her indignity and her instincts had betrayed her, leading her to hate and even want to kill a woman whom was indeed quite peaceful. By the end of the encounter, Ajraka had ....changed. She was calmer, and even among her crew, she ceased to be quite as voraciously violent in her punishments and checking of the crew's behavior. She became not only feared, but respected, and as she cared for those under her command, that necklace given to her so long ago by the previous Admiral of the ship began to glow, and she truly felt she belonged.
But of course... there was one last stop she ha d to make. Anchoring in Soul Society and reacquainting herself to her duties as a member of her family, she finally reunited with her father. {Thread unfinished, but in progress) Meeting her father, explaining her absence, and showing him what she had become, she sought his blessing to remain at the helm of her ship. Caring for her crew. And to her utter joy, that blessing was bestowed upon her. Finally cementing the position that she had been performing for the better part of two years: Admiral of the Wandering Sand.
Adoption
In the begining of course, ajraka was little more than a stray water-rat in the inner rukongai districts. Illiterate, unable and generally unwilling to speak or understand language, and of all things a cheeky, simple thief with nothing better to do than to steal shiny things and eat fish. Ajraka was but a child with not only little rhyme or reason for growth, but no WILL to do so. She was stagnant. She had everything she wanted and had no reason to do anything to the contrry, learning barely what she needed or deemed necessary, and leaving everything else to the wayside.
That is UNTIL she came upon Kyomei Kuchiki. With his shiny hairpins and an amazing ability to turn rocks into shiny things that were fun to chew on, for the first time in her life, Ajraka actually WANTED to learn. She was not satisfied with simply taking all of the shiny things offered, but she wanted to know how it happened. And even more so, she found that the man was absolutely heartwarming. Kind, gentle, understanding. Downright FATHERLY. And indeed, this man did become her adoptive father. Even if perhaps his expectations at the time were more that she would become like a family pet. And BOY, did she turn out to destroy those expectations!
Even Immediately, Ajraka showed to be an incredible learner as well as an absolute delight. Despite her prankish and somewhat mischeivous nature, Ajraka was a tremendous learner and a young woman of incredible curiosity. As shown in her Interaction with one of her cousins but also in her interaction with Kagami Murai both of whom bore witness to not only Ajraka's developing intelligence and vocabulary, but also her flourishing personality.
But none of that compared to the development inspired by the Arrancar Tsajara Dread, an arrancar she not only fought and lost to, but an individual who actually had a very considerable impact on Ajraka's life. First and FOREMOST of which, having inspired a very ferrocious and temporary hatred for hollowsm and an inspiring ass-whupping which led Ajraka to develop beyond a simple brutish approach to combat.
This loss, in fact, fueled her decision not only to visit into the wilderness, an endeavor which led her to meet the Beastclan Couple Zahra and Qatelawkajfhjba, as well as the decision to join a squad of shinigami on a recon mission to Hueco Mundo. an incredibly dangerous and risky mission, one that would change the course of her life
forever...
Losing the rest of the shinigami that accompanied her on the mission. Ajraka and a few members of that team (whom would later die) were assaulted and captured by a crew of Hollows and Arrancars currently in possession of a Ship from Las Septimas Arenas , specifically the Wandering Sands. Captured and enslaved to row in the lower decks of the ship in order to feed spiritual energy to the gillian ship itself, ajraka was subject to all of the hardships and duress of enslavement. Her only saving grace? The Ship's captain took a liking to her. Saving her from the more depraved imaginations of the crew, the man frequently had her accompany him in his quarters, showing her the mechanisms behind the operation of the ship, and instructing her on a variety of other skills.
Before long however, the surviving shinigami who had come with her were staging a rebellion. and for that, they asked her to keep the captain busy while they took over the ship. Unable to really understand and process what that meant, she did her best. Only to find that the captain understood fully and completely what was going on. but rather than cutting her down, he did something else instead. He confessed to Ajraka. Saying that his crew was perhaps the dirtiest and most impure lot he had ever held command over. But more importantly, that wether he liked it or not, he was likely to die from this mutiny, and indeed, he seemed to be looking forward to it.
In the sudden rush of explanation, he instructed Ajraka to take credit for his death. Her strength would be enough to keep the surviving crew scared and obedient, and that she would need to take control of the ship. But perhaps MOST unusually, wqhat he did was apologize. Apologize that he had to do this to her. apologize that by doing this, he was binding her to his ship, that now if she tried to leave, she would be killed, and everyone else she cared about on that ship would likely die too.
Before she knew it, he had placed er hands on him, and with one last heartfelt apology, he killed himself, framing her in the process. With the mutiny in full swing outside, it wasn't long before the majority of the cruel crew had been killed or subjugated, the freed slaves taking over the ship, and suddenly Ajraka was in charge.
For a very long time, Ajraka's life became keeping the ship in order. Punishing the unruly crew, ensuring that the freed slaves recovered from their abuse and neglect at the hands of their slavers, and ....strangely... honoring the request of the dying Admiral. With the ship under bher command, she realized that she could go just about anywhere she wanted. But as she looked upon those starved slaves, humans shinigami, hollows, and mod souls, bounts and even quincy. She found that she could not abandon them. she found herself remembering all that Kyomei had done for her. Taking a baive, young little pup like her in, and not only saving her from the life of a lost, purposeless nothing, but giving her something to live for.
She found herself... unable to abandon her crew. Time and time again, even when visiting the wilderness in the soul society, she refrained from trying to return home. Her place was with her crew, who wether she liked it or not, stood no chance without her. And certainly were no longer fit to return to whatever places they had come from.
Of course, eventually, it was during a leisurely visit to the world of the living, that once again she was tested. During a Meteor Shower she found herself once again meeting that Arrancar from before. And she was unable to restrain herself. Attacking the woman on sight, she attempted to ravage the nonviolent arrancar, dragging a Mod soul as well as a Quincy into the encounter as well. and despite this... she found herself eventually siding with the arrancar. Amidst all of the battle, when the quincy seemed to be asserting her power over the rest of them, it was her, along with the arrancar and the mod soul who wound up standing up to them.
She had realized that the arrancar had never meant her harm, and that her indignity and her instincts had betrayed her, leading her to hate and even want to kill a woman whom was indeed quite peaceful.
