-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Appearance-
Height/Weight: 5'4"/115 lbs (3'5"/80 lbs)
Physical Description:
Under normal circumstances, Orina is a rather pretty young woman. Standing at a relatively normal height, she holds a soft, serene appearance about her. With spiked, aqua-colored hair often cut and kept short she can be seen at times to be a bit of a tomboy, but this contrasts sharply at other times with her very feminine features. Her form being athletic but more akin to a swimmer or a gymnast than a more muscular athlete. Her skin is near flawless and there is a warmth to her appearance and demeanor, always soothing and sweet to behold regardless of her actions. Even in combat Orina is a sight to behold, with confidence and grace she fights, even if perhaps not as well as her comrades, she still exudes a confidence and know-how that makes her valuable as a teammate.
But of course, on the rare occasion, one will see a different side of her. Darker, more shady. With ayes a baleful yellow and with skin so very flawless still, but darker, almost a shrouded smoggy grey as all of that warmth and brilliance seems to fade away. Supposedly the result of an illness, this seems to affect her personality as well, causing her to grow irritable, unhappy, and very prone to snapping at others around her. More often than not she finds herself locked away in her room, secluded and shut off from even those closest to her, as if afraid to show this side of her to another. She has a shaky confidence in this form, one that seems almost feral, an animistic caution about her almost as if she were a rat or a cockroach.
Of course there then comes the rarest of all sights. Something that her dearest love would never imagine existed. A long, spiny body something like a bony worm or parasite. Long bony fins that stretch out almost eight inches on either side, her entire body more than three feet long. A pure black form, with fleks of white through the spines growing along her back. And of course that white skill on the front of her face, pointed and angled like some sort of primal blade, made to rip, stab and burrow into anything she can get her tiny fins on. An existence so very alien and disgusting. The mannerisms are even more sinister. Murderous, foreboding, Orina takes on a new meaning to the word detestable as the husk she once inhabited follows her like a marionette. Skin still dusky and looking much like her second form were it not for that gaping hole, the flesh peeling back like a zipper to show a deep void through the center of her torso, showing an emptiness so very absolute.

-Personality-
Dislikes:
Abrasive People: These are the hardest to trick, and make her job more difficult than it already is most f the time. Sure, at times, they can be something of a useful tool, but they tend to also be the most suspicious of her. Something that she does her very best to remedy as soon as possible.
Just Too Close to Love You: There is a difference between manipulation and actual love, and when she begins to realize some creature has fallen for her, that is generally the beginning of her plans to consume them.
Sensory Types: By far the greatest threat to her existence in her own particular role. She always gets ancy around these types.
Strong Meals Requirement: Perhaps the greatest bane to her existence is that she requires stronger and stronger beings to sustain herself as she grows in prowess. The fact that she will eventually need to chow down on Lieutenant-level meals is something that concerns her every waking moment of her existence.
Other Hollows: Competition. Even as a lower level hollow, she still has a deep and unabiding distaste for others, often going out of her way to assist in their slaying, as these are often a staple that she uses to maintain herself until she can get her teeth on something more exotic.
Likes:
Meats: While they do literally nothing to ease her own suffering as a hollow, she does actually love foods with meat in them, as they do cater to her own bloody tastes, she will often try to select long-term friends for her lure persona in order to facilitate a steady supply of these meats.
Humans: By far the absolute EASIEST to get her teeth on, and the easiest to trick to her own devices. Being slavenly and almost hollowlike already, even just the body which Orina uses for her lures is generally enough to garner herself enough meals to last her.
Shinigami: Her absolute favorite meal, and the reason for her bizarre and dangerous lot in life as a hollow. This stems from something....deep. Something so very dire wiithin her soul. Something driving her to murder and devour as many shinigami as she can muster.
Betrayal: The most delicious of emotions to mix with any meal. The look on some poor soul's face when they realize her for what she really is. that everything they knew was a lie, a sham, a camouflage used for her voracious misdeeds. Nothing can compare.
Brutish Types: Not only her main staple regardless of race, they are also generally one of the main tools she uses to get in with the more difficult types. Anyone is easier to get along with if someone else vouches for you!
Flaws:
Over-complicated: This is so obvious. The very notion of a hollow feeding in such a convoluted way seems like it would be a catastrophic failure to begin with. Were she not so very careful she would likely have perished long ago, slain by those she fools on the daily. But of course because of that very caution and complexity to her plans, she often goes starving, suffering, screaming internally as she keeps up the facade, until even the fake face she has looks ill and unwell.
Specialized: Being designed so solely around her method of feeding, she truly does have a lack when it comes to combat versatility and utility compared to other hollows. where others have poisons and other devilish powers, she has guises and veils to futher secure her bizarre feeding habit.
Cowardly: She is so careful that more often than not, if she sense ANY chance of her cover being blown, she will not indulge in herself, even at the hazard or devolving, she will abstain from feeding. Her own need to survive and reach ehr eventual goal in some cases is a great boon, but it also handicaps her growth atrociously, spending time that could be spent gorging on planning and such instead. All in all, she is a failure as a normal hollow. Her success lies ONLY in her strange little niche.
Fatigued Lure: When she takes on her Lure, if she has not eaten in a while, her skin begins to darken and those eyes shift from that bright blue to a horribel yellow. This is generally written off as some sor tof exotic nature, as MANY shinigami seem to have very strange physology, but even so it does lead to questions at times, and that is very dangerous for her.
Habits:
Prying: Learning about her prey is a strange activity. One that she takes part in obnoxiously often. going out of her way to get info, learn the ways of the mundane, even after she has consumed a target, she is always on the lookout for another in on some new prey of hers, or on those they surround themselves with.
Swimming: Perhaps due to the fact that she is a fish, Orina exhibits a rather pronounced and expletive enjoyment of the water, even going so far as to take many opportunities to get in it. In some strange way it soothes her, even in her lure form.
Physical Contact: In lure form or even in her true form, Orina takes every opportunity to engage physically with her environment. Ironically this has expressedly helped her odd hunting habits, as humans and souls seem to enjoy this, and contact is a sign of vulnerability, understanding, amiability, and various other traits which help her blend in well with others.
Fears:
Captains/Sternritters: The most dangerous of the Dangerous. Not only that but as leaders it is their job (IN most cases) to get along or at least keep an eye on their troops. Because of this, they are probably the greatest threat to Orina's existence, making it obnoxiously had for her to be around most of them.
Being found Out: Her entire soul has been invested in this, and if it gets out by and large of what she is, this severely limits her and practically cuts her off completely from her favorite source of food: shinigami. The very notion of being discovered is something that drives several of her behaviors.
Goals:
Espada: The penultimate of goals. To escape the horrors of being a hollow and to become not only an arrancar, but the topmost, most powerful of her race's capabilities. Above any and all else, she hopes that she will have not only her lure but a form all her own that she can hunt in.
Kill a Lover: Betrayal being something she so deliciously adores. The one thing she has always wanted was to consume someone who truly and deeply came to love her Lure. A ridiculous dream, especially for a hollow. but the agony of her meal is something she has always relished, and so this, even so very deep in her heart, is something she subconsciously strives for.
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Overall Personality:
As a Hollow, Orina Sanguijuela is a bit of a two-faced being, even for a hollow. On one hand, she is an obnoxiously warm and even caring woman. Seeming to be almost flawless in her ability to care for so many of her comrades and all the more capable of growing close to those she happens to encounter given enough of a cooperative effort from those around her. She is a paragon of the 'goody two shoes' trope, doing all she can in order to remain stringent to whatever rules govern her existence, while still somewhat bending them from time to time, in some subtle ways, and in other horrible, sinister, more villainous ways.
This side of her seems to genuinely feel concern, empathy, things most hollows really don't ever show or exhibit. She seems genuinely interested not only in getting along, but in finding out everything she can about those she 'cares about'. The past, the present, even visions of the future are all part of the tapestry that she garners in every person her presence touches. A charm an amiability that seems to smooth out the concerns and doubts that sometimes pop up around her. All in all, she seems to invite others to her, gathering as many friends as she might, even though so many of them seem to have tragedy written out in their fate. A happenstance so very cruel that the girl seems almost cursed.
On the other side of that Coin, Orina is an absolute atrocious being. Manipulative, Kniving, and crafty, her mind is an absolute cesspool of schemery and plots, each one hatching spontaneously in regard to anything and everything around her. It is perhaps this vile nature that allows the hollow to mix herself so flawlessly with other races. Putting on that warm, pretty face. The deep, RICH relish of remaining hidden, surrounded by so many enemies and meals. Only to find those singular moments, the time to let herself slip, to either be a parasite that she is and feast on the corpses of her so-called allies slain by other hollows. Or to go so far as to do such gristly deeds herself, luring those that trust her and are weak enough and useless enough to more secluded and secretive places, only to massacre them and devour them before they can realize what happened.
Of course the management of this duality is something of a mystery, as often times Orina even seems to buy into her own act, a sort of personal psychosis in which she seems almost to be split in her personality, or some exotic versio of a manic depressive. On one hadn relishing this strange connection that she has with enemies of her race, while also drenching herself in bloodshed and viciousness whenever the rare opportunities for such debauchery prove to bring themselves into the light and to a position where she can properly feast to her heart's content. Of course, Orina herself doesn't waste thought on what part of her is real, to her, they are both real, two sides to the same coin, this nicety merely a means to an end, a facade made possibly by her powers and abilities, and of course the patience to withhold her horrible true nature long enough to make it worthwhile.
As of late, Orina has been well-delved into her life as a shinigami. And is a little....perplexed. As she has grown, and she is less and less that vicious Demihollow from before, she has become ....more clear. Her hatred for the Shinigami as an estate remains. But even so, it is strange. Some of these peons are worth her time. Some of whom, she may even consider allies. Deep inside, she has pondered over this, and as such, she has begun to wonder. Some she can simply devour. But what about those she might simply...corrupt? She wonders if she is simply going soft, perhaps attatched to some of these sheep. But none the less....she has begun the thought process. And in some instances, she has grown even affectionate toward some shinigami. After all, around her finger is right where she wants them.

-Powers-
Fighting Style: Orina's fighting capabilities lean entirely on ambush and emulation. First and foremost, in order to most closely emulate the abilities and powers of her targets, her combat capabilities are mostly versatile, not doing anything particularly well, but having an adaptability in order to go for authenticity of emulation over pure function and potency. Her abilities do have a weakness to them, and whatever it is that she is trying to emulate generally will not have the oomf of the real thing. But of course, this is the price of her hunting style.
All the more she relies on using intellect and her various utility skills in order to accomplish her goals. Going out of her way to set up her prey to die, hampering them suddenly or buffing an enemy they face to facilitate a death from which she can scavenge like the cowardly parasite that she is, and to do so in as stealthy and subtle a manner as possible, or to wait until the moment is so ripe that there is no chance for failure. This means that she often is incredibly patient, drawing out fights and conserving her energy and abilities until there is ample time to strike. Of course this makes her seem hesitant, but then again with a loving and almost pacifistic demeanor at times it sometimes plays to her desires.
Of course, these various techniques generally allow her to pass effortlessly as a variety of races for the purposes of hunting, though regardless of what forms she is in, or what type of power she is emulating, her abilities are always water-based, due to the type of hollow that she is. Because of this, she is very well versed not only in swimming, but in three-dimensional combat in general, as well as underwater combat. Being able to move easily in the water, she almost always will gravitate toward bodies of existing water when she engages a strong opponent, whether in her Lure or in her true form.
Overall Ability: Fell Angler
Heart and Soul, Orina is a deceiver, a trickster, and an ambush predator. Her overall ability Fell Angler gives her just the sort of tools necessary for her to accomplish her goals. Of course it isn't so simple as just looking like whatever it is that she sets her mind on, but it is also gives her the kind of tools that such a predator would need to accomplish such a disgusting manner of hunting. Almost all of her abilities center on her "Lure" a Spiritual body of the very first shinigami she encountered, one that she uses in order to carry out her obscene hunting practices.
Techniques:
El Senuelo (The Lure)
Class: 8, 5
Technique Type: Utility
Technique Element: None
Description: The pinnacle of her powers, it is the stroke of mastery that facilitates her obscene manner of hunting. This technique describes the properties of this Lure. Originally a shinigami's spiritual body, Orina uses this form as a sort of clothing to hide herself within. For all intents and purposes this shell takes on the appearance of an ordinary Soul's spiritual body. On it's own, it is hollowed out and looks rather unusual, with darkened ashy skin and bright yellow eyes that can be a bit unsettling. However, once Orina has entered the Lure, it becomes, for all intents and purposes, a true body, almost as if she were an inner hollow for this shell, though rather than occasionally taking over, she is in constant control of this form.
Drawback: At class 8, this ability is exclusively able to give the impression of a normal soul that would reside within the rukongai, it is not until class 5 that this body is able to emulate the form of a Soul reaper. Orina is incapable of drawing out a soul or power from a Zanpaku'to, Shinigami or arrancar, and regardless of what spiritual being she is masquerading as, she is only able to fake a release power, but is never actually capable of one. Additionally, the use of her spiritual power must ALSO be modified when using her lure, and as such all abilities and powers used while within her Lure are reduced to 85% OS.
La Cáscara (The Shell)
Class: 8, 5, 3, 1
Technique Type: Utility
Technique Element: None
Description: This ability is an extension and modifier of her Lure. By using her reiatsu, she is capable of generating a Faux Gigai, namely a Physical Shell for her Lure to inhabit. This allows her to take on the appearance of physical races in addition to spiritual ones. At class 8, she can only take on the guise of a normal human. At Class 5 of this technique she becomes capable of emulating Fullbringers. And the class 3 version of this ability, she is capable of emulating Bounts and Quincy. At class 1 of this Technique, she is capable of emulating the form of a Mod Soul or Failure.
Drawback: Even more, she is inside of a shell inside of a shell. the OS of all abilities used while within her Lure and Shell are reduced to 75% of their normal values while still maintaining an emulation of that type of reiatsu. Additionally, emerging from two shells takes time, as such she cannot emerge from her Lure the same post that she emerges from her Shell.
Gancho del Señuelo (Lure's Hook)
Class: 8, 3
Technique Type: Utility
Technique Element: None
Description: This technique is what dictates Orina's ability to emulate a weapon for her chosen race. At class 8 this can take on the appearance and reiatsu of any release weapon of any race, though in it's inert and powerless form (An Asauchi, a powerless fullbring, A Doll without techniques, a Bow, ect). It is not until the class 3 version of this technique that she is capable of going beyond this. At this class, the technique is capable of emulating the reiatsu surge and appearance of a release (This does not actually count as a release, Orina gains no other benefits inherent to the race's release and cannot use sppr for her OS).
Drawvacks: This process of a faux release costs 100 reiatsu, though since it is merely for show, it can last up to 20 posts before needing to be "sealed". While it can emulate the release, it does not, however, supply Orina with Techniques, instead she must use her normal hollow abilities, which in conjunction with this ability, mask them in both appearance and reiatsu as a release ability from that race. Releasing does not remove the 10-20% penalty for using her abilities inside her Lure or her Shell.
Baile de Señuelos (Lure's Dance)
Class: 7
Technique Type: Utility/Step
Technique Element: None
Outside of the basic body, innards and guts, reiatsu, and release, there really isn't much else that Orina needs to emulate, except for one very particular thing: Step Techniques. Every race has a step technique, and unfortunately for her, they are all very unique and noticeable in how they operate. Which is the reason for this technique. Using this technique, Orina can copy the step technique of any race,in both function and appearance/mechanics.
Drawbacks: This is a very tricky ability as it involves a lot of technical mastery. In order to emulate a technique, Orina must learn the technique manually, even techniques that are normally intrinsic to a race. While she can learn them, she c annot use them directly. Instead, this technique is used, copying the mechanics, however the mac speed boost ever attained will be 4x her base speed, (5x if it is a ramping ability, in which case it starts at 2.5x. Example: Mod Soul step ramps up with repeated use, in this instance, it would start at 2.5x speed, and then ramp up to a max of 5x). Additionally, any step techniques that have built-in speed steroid options (Like hirenkyakyu) do so up to a max of a 50% speed boost (100 becomes 150). Because these step variations are so weak, they only cost half the normal reiatsu cost. However because they are so alien to her race, she can only use them at max twice per post, regardless of class. These restrictions do not apply to Hollow step techs, which do not use this technique.
Señuelo Cebado (Baited Lure)
Class: 8, 2
Technique Type: Utility
Technique Element: None
Description: this technique describes the process in which Orina creates and maintains a Lure. In the event that a lure is damaged or destroyed, Orina is capable of producing a new copy of it with the residual spirit energy inside of her. This however is NOT something to be done in combat. Once done, Orina's reiatsu is immediately depleted, reduced to zero as all of her reiatsu goes into forming this new self. She is left with just enough energy to burrow inside of it and then pass out, looking for all the world as if orina (in the disguise fo her lure) had simply passed out on the spot.
In very rare events, Orina is sometimes forced to make new Lures, but because of her connection with her original Lure, these are only temporary. This process involves devouring the soul of a target by jabbing them with the spike on her mask, hollowing them out and turning them into a suitable vessel. This process allows her to use this new lure until it is destroyed or the thread ends. The class 2 version of this technique allows her to use the Lure for an additional thread after it's creation, and the class 1 version of this technique allows her to use it for two more threats (3 total, in addition to the thread in which it was created). Of course, even when creating new lures, Orina's powers do not change, and as such it is risky for her to try and use her powers when in a different temporary lure.
Drawbacks: New lures are entirely temporary, lasting at most a total of four threads (including the thread it is made) at class 1 of this Technique. Additionally, whether she is regenerating or reproducing her original Lure, or making a new one, this process ALWAYS reduces her reiatsu to zero, giving her just enough energy to burrow inside and then pass out.
Corriente de Pescador (Angler's Current)
Class: 6, 3, 1
Technique Type: Environmental Hazard
Technique Element: Water
Description: No matter what the race, the lure is simply to drag prey in. But what of when she is ready to feast? Orina's combat ability shows as an aquatic type power. Being a sort of devilish fish, Orina's primary combat ability is Corriente de Pescador. When used outside of her Lure or Shell, this ability causes a massive flood in the area, gushing spiritual energy until it fills a massive dome around the area, spanning a 20 meter radius, this "water" is pitch black and murky. While Orina has the ability to navigate and sense individuals within this water, it serves as a visual shroud, cutting off visibility after 4 meters. Additionally, one cannot actually drown in this water, as both Orina and those inside of it, can breathe quite easily. In addition to being shroud, this dome causes an immense pressure on those inside of it aside from Orina, reducing the speed of others inside of it by 25% (50% in the class 3 version of this technique) as the pressure of that massive dome weighs them down.
Drawbacks: Individuals with an OS superiority of 50% can ignore the slow intrinsic to the dome. additionally, this Technique costs 100 reiatsu per post to maintain. For those with at least 200 senses, the visual cutoff is at 8 meters instead of 4 meters.
Arpón de Pescador (Angler's Harpoon)
Class: 4, 3, 1
Technique Type: Offensive
Technique Element: Water
Description: Another tool used by Orina once she has her eyes on her prey:; Angler's Harpoon unleashes a sudden ripping burst of water to slash out, punching forward and stabbing through targets in it's path. These water harpoons are four feet wide and generally are about 2 meters long, moving at speeds of about 600 when fired. When fired within Angler's Current, these lances cannot be distinguished from the surrounding water visually, and thus must be heard or sensed via reiatsu. Individuals with senses of at least 100 will be able to make out these lances as they come within 2 meters of them (Half the visual range of the Pond itself), those with at least 250 in senses will be able to sense it within 4 meters. Energy Sense does not have any issues in sensing these lances, regardless of range.
Drawbacks: Costs 100 reiatsu to fire.
Sedal de Pescador (Angler's Fishing Line)
Class: 3
Technique Type: Utility/Doppleganger
Technique Element: None
Description: When it finally comes for Orina to face her prey, to reach her full potential she will oft emerge from her Lure in order to attack. but this does not mean that the lure need remain sitting idly by. By sewing a fishing line of reishi through the Lure's body, she can breathe life into it's mouth and then, sewing it's eyes, lips, and nostrils shut to keep that life inside of it, can b ring it forth as an ally. This Animated Lure retains Orina's physical, spiritual, and sensory stats, but is Blind, Deaf, Mute, and unable to smell. This Lure also has access to all of Orina's techniques and abilities, though they are still limited as if Orina was still trapped inside it.
Drawbacks: All of it's physical senses are eliminated to keep the life inside of it. As such, if a target has no physical presence (Or if she has inadequate energy Sensory), then the Lure becomes completely reliant on input from Orina in order to fight. Additionally, if at any point the sewing of it's eyes, ears, nostrils, ect are snipped, the life escapes the Lure and it promptly collapses back into it's lifeless state. Costs 400 reiatsu to perform this technique.
Gancho del Shinigami: 深海 Shinkai (Shinigami Hook: The Deep)
Class: 3, 1
Description: The variation of Angler's Hook for shinigami: Specifically? Mizu's Shikai. When manifesting in this form, Mizu's Hook (Her false Zanpaku'to) becomes a long trident, with jagged, serrated blades for tips as opposed to straight and stabby points. This stylized weapon causes the air to ripple around it, as though moving through water. The flow of reiatsu through this weapon gives it a slight shine. When "Released" This weapon provides Orina with the passive ability to generate water with her weapon. Up to 100 cubic feet of water can be generated per post anywhere within 10 meters of herself. By expending reiatsu, she can even manipulate this water and move it around at speeds of up to 500, increasing to 800 at class 1. The force with which this water moves is equal to 75% of her OS (After Lure/Shell reductions), increasing to 100% (After Lure/Shell reductions) at class 1. Additionally, this water does not follow typical gravity rules, and floats in the air rather than simply falling and spreading out.
Drawbacks: Like any other fake release, it costs 100 reiatsu to unleash and lasts for 10 posts, the Class 1 version costing 250 reiatsu and lasting the same amount of time. Additionally, while she is in her Lure, or her Shell, she still has the 10-20% reduction in OS. Additionally, it is a fake release, and does not open up Orina to use Sppr as an OS. Simple manipulation costs 25 reiatsu per post. Water generation costs 50 reiatsu per 25 cubic feet. Unlike a TRUE release, she does not get a bunch of stuff for free, and while the release itself is cheap, she still must expend reiatsu for what would normally be passive for shinigami. Water cannot be spawned inside people.
Gancho Del Shinigami: 淵のバーミューダ Fuchi no Bāmyūda (Abyss of Bermuda)
Class: 2, 1
Description: This variation of Angler's Hook is for the emulation of the Panultimate of Shinigami techniques. The emulation of a Bankai. That trident vanishes in favor of something much cooler. A massive bony fish not unlike Orina's true body is summoned. With a strength, speed, Sppr, and RS of 500, as well as a hard body with a durability of 750 smilar to spiritual steel, this leviathan floats freely through the air. It's sensory stats match Orina's. This big beast us capable of using Ulcera, disguising it as a special ability for her bankai. Additionally, it gains the same abilities as her shikai, though for those techniques, the reiatsu is still deducted from Orina's reiatsu pool. This Leviathan is merely a puppet and while it has a will, it is not actually alive, nor does it have any sort of internal organs. It is merely a shell with a will placed within it, meaning that 'killing' it is fairly meaningless as it does not need any particular part to continue functioning.
At class 1, up to 200 cubic feet of water can be generated per post, and this water floats uninhibited by gravity similar to the "shikai" version. The Speed of this water is ramped up to 700 at base, and increases to 1000 at class 1.
Drawbacks: Even a fake bankai has a hefty cost. At class 2, this technique costs 400 reiatsu to pull off, and 500 at class 1. lasting 8 posts.
Unlike shikai, it costs 100 reiatsu per post to manipulate the water. Generating water costs 50 reiatsu per 25 cubic feet. Additionally, while hard to stop, this leviathan if completely destroyed, ends the "release", and like a real bankai, remains damaged until she pays ryo to repair it. Bringing back the leviathan requires double the ryo cost of regenerating a limb. Water cannot be spawned inside people.

-History-
Birthplace: Karakura Town
Current Residence: Gotei Shinigami Academy
Memorable Figures:
Mizu Tsuraiko: Orina's older sister as a human, having passed on well before she did, the two were reunited in catastrophic circumstances.
History:
Orina was born in a contemporary setting in Karakura Town. In a time where disasters happened left and right, her family moved to Karakura because of how incredibly cheap it was to live there. The two being fullbringers, they were well aware of the battles that happened so often in the area, however it was this that drew them in the first place. Both of them being without proper full-time jobs, a place to live was almost impossible to get, and so Karakura life was the median between safety and affordability. Though a crappy medium it was. At the age of five, both Orina's parents came to be killed in a fight between shinigami and hollows, leaving Orina and her older sister Mizu to fend for themselves. Being almost a full adult anyway, Mizu soon found herself a job, managing to somehow take care of both herself and her sister.
Of course life was tough. Always having to struggle to make ends meet even in a dangerous and cheap place to live as Karakura, Orina (Named Akura during her life as a human) attended the Karakura School district, woefully unaware of the spiritual world and anything else that may have hinted that her home was a hotspot for spiritual violence. However, even ignorance and naivety did not save her in the end. At the age of 20, even as she graduated from Karakura high after being held back a year or two due to injuries (Not at all uncommon in the area), Orina had trouble, struggling to find a proper job. However, it was an endeavor she would never accomplish.
At the age of 20, Orina became part of the collateral damage between shinigami and arrancar duking it out in the area. Crushed by falling debris, no help ever came, nobody ever arrived to save her. The same, however, did not go for her sister Mizu, who was killed closer to the epicenter of the incident. As such, when the relief squad arrived, she was konso'd and sent to soul society. Left behind, Orina's spirit simply lingered and began to degrade, growing more and more haggard and gaunt, the chain attached to her chest slowly beginning to wear away and encroach upon itself. Her fate was sealed.
That fate came to fruition years later, when Orina would have been 25. By some strange twist of fate, Mizu and Orina were reunited. Her sister having become a shinigami in the time since her death, was shocked and apalled to see Orina wasting away, not even recognizing her sister in her current state. But alas, even for two souls such as these, Karakura is no safe place, even for a touching Reunion. In a clash involving the Vandereich, the incident which had led to Mizu being in the area to begin with, a massive flood swamped the area, throwing Mizu and Orina from where they were, snapping Orina's chain from her chest and throwing the two sisters across karakura.
when the waters finally spread out and died down, the damage was done. Orina had managed to stay intact, barely, but she found her sister Mizu having been impaled by the horn of a hollow corpse amidst the surging waters, slain on the spot. And so, with her sister dead before her, Orina's chain finished it's encroachment, and she came to become the horrible monster she is today. A disgusting, horrendous angler fish, and her very first meal was her sister Mizu, their soul hollowed out, and then burrowed into, seeking the safety of her sister even as a hollow, Mizu's body would serve to protect her sister, even in death and consumption.
Immediately she came to the conclusion that ti was the fault of the shinigami. At her initial state she was unable to fabricate a physical living body, she had to be resourceful, clever, waiting until shinigami showed up to try and konso he r, and of course hiding, waiting for one weak enough that she could kill them and consume them. She couldn't allow them to konso her, that would be the end of everything. She didn't know what a Konso truly was, but she didn't imagine it would work on her lure. She had to be so very very careful, as every day she thuoght more and more about how the recklessness of shinigami had made her like this.
Hollows are always voracious creatures. They devour to stem the pain of their agony, generally they start this process by consuming their family, and then go wild, preying on anything else they can find. She never was able to prey on the living soul of her sister, and the all-but-lifeless form of Mizu had been nothing to satisfy her innermost desire to heal her own suffering. And so, she eventually learned to navigate Garganta, and found her way to soul society. Intent on her revenge. She did not allow herself to become complacent in hunting and killing Rukongai citizens. She even began to develop that cautiousness she soon became so good at.
Every enemy was an opportunity.
Every lone soul was something to keep her going.
Every fight was a test to her resolve.
She found and realized that she could wait until hollows had been repelled, even chasing after them, and then killing and devouring them herself, and the remains could be brought back, branding her as a hero, holding a mimicry of a shinigami's blade. One that for all intents and purposes seemed like the real thing, even to the few shinigami who found her. But of course, they all made the same crucial assumption. They presumed that she had taken it from a dead shinigami, they could tell that the core of the weapon had already died, they would sense no zan spirit within (For she was not yet able to emulate that), but they could tell what it seemed to be.
And it was in this manner, that she was accepted into the Shinigami Academy. The very birthplace of her hated foe. They very nest that she would make herself. A bevy of food. The school was not a kind one, and it was not unheard of for students to die during patrols, or even from encounters with hollows while out in training. All she had to do was be patient, subsisting off the hollows she and her classmates killed when it was safe. Isolating and corn ering those that would not further her own goals, who would not help her further integrate into soul reaper society. She knew the price of failure, even if she managed to run away, if she wasn't strong enough then there would be VERY few places she could hunt like she was MADE to. She had to wait. she had to starve. She had to be careful.
She had to live, if she was to make them PAY.
Having Successfully integrated into the Gotei, Orina found herself in an interesting predicament. She might actually DIE! slaying hollows and such has proven much more dangerous than she had imagined previously. Her Squad seems to be one very well ingrained within itself, however she has come to realize during her forays into the Rukongai that even the mere rukongai citizens have proven to be potentially deadly for her. With her base established in maintaining her disguise, she realizes that she also needs to
