For the past couple months, Shōkan had been experimenting with this so called "internet". Why thing had so many names, didn't know. "World Wide Web" "Internet", along with countless nicknames, it was confusing. Additionally, at first Shōkan thought that it's purpose was purely communication, until he was introduced to the pandemonium that was YouFace, BookTube, TwitChan, and all of these other sites. Examining them closely, Shōkan came up with one conclusion. The internet was a gigantic miasma of people all around the world, communicated, making connections, having fun. Then there are the so-called "trolls" and such, but for the most part it's all about making connections with he people you find there.
All of this leading to where he was today, a small coffee shop in Karakura Town. Fortunately, the place had free Wi-Fi, so Shōkan could surf the web while he waited. He had to admit, while the internet had some very questionable things on it, there was also many interesting and exciting things as well! Off topic however. The real reason Shōkan was here was to meet someone. That's right, Shōkan had found his first internet friend! At first it was somewhat awkward, he didn't really know much about the internet, or the modern world in general. He covered this by spinning a tale about growing up in a secluded country village where technology was shunned. Which she seemed to buy. Yes. She. At least, Shōkan hoped it was a she, it would be very startling to find out that the person he had so many interesting conversations with had turned out to be a completely different person than he thought she was.
As he sat there waiting, Shōkan couldn't help but peer at the reflection on his laptops moniter. He had changed so much since he was sealed... In his time, he had been known as one of the most eligable bachelors in the soul society, not only for his family, but also (apparently) for his good looks. Shōkan didn't really know about that, he had always been a bit humble when it came to him personally, all of his pride generally went to his clan. Peering at his reflection, Shōkan didn't notice the girls looking at him across the room and blushing. Little did he know that his looks were just as handsome as they were in his time, if not better. His pale skin, pure white hair, glacial blue eyes, all came together tomake him exceptionally good looking.
'These gigai's are way more comfortable than the ones from back in the day...' Shōkan thought as he looked down at his hands. The craftsmandship of these things were extraordinary. Shōkan clenched his fists as he thought about it, watching th emucsles in his arm move around. 'Amazing...' Taking a sip of his coffee, Shōkan continued to surf the net as he waited for his new friend Shizuka to arrive, completely oblivious to all of the attentiont he females in the room were giving him. Shōkan let out a yawn, 'I wonder what she'll be like in person...' Shizuka was Shōkan's first real friend in this time period, sure he had associates and colleagues in the Seireitei, and he had Arashi and Jinbei for family, but none of that filled the hole left by the absence of his best friend from the past...

Shizuka felt more nervous about meeting up with this guy than anyone should ever feel. She personally didn't care about stranger danger or anything because she was fully capable of taking care of herself, especially since she was stronger than the average human. What was really making her feel this way was the fact that she was meeting a new person! She had severe social anxiety that she had to fight constantly when out in public. A lot of her friends made fun of her, saying she never seemed nervous around people at all. Shizuka was thankful for them thinking such things, but she really was good at acting the part. Her insides twisted and turned at the thought of being in large crowds of people she didn't know.
Or even just people she didn't know, for that matter. Actually, this was very foreign to her. When she wasn't studying or out on missions, she was busy typing away on her laptop or watching anime or something nerdy along those lines. She loved the feeling of safety it brought her, like she didn't have to actively try to do anything. Or wear make up! It was the internet, no one could see her. Anyway, Shizuka walked down the familiar streets of central Karakura Town and glanced around her, noticing how beautiful things looked in the windows. She couldn't afford to shop today, though. She wanted to make sure she was on time! She was meeting someone new, after all. She had only ever talked to him online.
Yes, yes. It was a meeting between two complete and total strangers. Why would she ever do that? Well, because she wanted to. What was the harm? She had talked to this guy for a long time and thought it might be fun. Then she learned he lived relatively close to her, so they agreed to just stop by a cafe and say hello to each other. What could possibly go wrong? He had told her before that he wasn't very fluent when it came to use of the internet, but she was more than happy to help him out. He was a sweet person and she appreciated that about him. Besides, they both roleplayed online together! Kinda funny, isn't it? But she just wanted him to feel comfortable. He told her about this whole story with how he was raised in some anti-technology village or whatever and she felt bad.
Shizuka adjusted her jacket, fixing her shirt in the process. She was wearing her favorite white halter-top that was fitted to be close to her body and sit just above her naval. She had a well-defined stomach so she liked to show it off! She had little to barely any fat on her body, anyway. All girls had some unless they actively starved it away because they were built for having babies, but Shizuka didn't want to think about having babies. She didn't like babies. Or children. Or really anyone under the age of thirteen with some exceptions. Anyway, on the back of her shirt there was a star that resembled the logo for the Dallas Cowboys, except for where there was blue, it was purple, and where there was white in between, it was metallic silver. Her brown leather jacket had the same star on the back of it, as well. The jacket reached down to the top of her hips where her denim shorts rested.
She loved this outfit and it was still nice enough to work with her usual pair of shoes - designer Roberto Cavalli heels. These bright golden, strappy heels were the secret to her Fullbring and she never went anywhere without them. If they didn't match her outfit for the day, she had them in her bag. She never went anywhere without them since they were her weapons. But today, that didn't matter. She was just going to probably get a chai tea and sit down and have a fun conversation! Right? That could be nice, maybe a good change from her usual routine of taking down bad guys. She needed a break, frankly. She was always fighting something or another and hoped that she could relax for once.
Arriving at the cafe took little to no time at all since it was her favorite place to go in Karakura. She lived relatively close to it, so that was why she decided to walk there instead of using Blaize. The poor dragon was so tired this morning that Shizuka didn't think it would be fun for her to come along, and it might be a little off-putting for a first encounter if someone had to meet a giant flying reptile. Keeping her home was probably for the best. Shizuka giggled to herself, thinking about what it would be like for this guy to meet Blaize. Hopefully nothing bad, but she knew that it could be startling. Any first meeting is, really. That's why Shizuka usually hated them so much and avoided them.
Once she was close enough to the main set of doors, she carefully wrapped her hand around the handle and pushed inwards, forcing the glass barriers to open. It smelled like the fresh scent of roasting coffee and chocolate, along with hints here and there of cafe sweets. She loved this smell. It was so familiar to her since her mother made coffee every morning, even though Shizuka hated the taste. It was more that she loved the familiarity of it. She smiled and brushed her long, waist-length blonde hair back behind her, taking in each scent as it approached her nose. After a few seconds, she scanned the room carefully with her trained eyes and noticed just about everyone was there with someone. Everyone but three old women and one man. She hoped it was the man because that's who she went to.
She cursed herself for never asking his real name, but she hoped maybe he would recognize her anyway. She watched for a moment as some girls around him stared and blushed, probably noticing that he had excellent bone structure and very unique hair. He was quite handsome, something that was fairly hard to come by in the internet realm. Shizuka was even taken aback by his looks and muscle definition. But she needed to get a hold of herself! She smiled with a familiar friendliness in her heterochromatic eyes and carefully made her way towards his table. His computer was open, giving her a sense of relief. She figured only he would do that, maybe as a way for her to recognize him. She met opposite of him and calmly spoke with a slightly flirtatious nature in her tone.

Jingle the bell above the door chimed softly as it was pushed open, glancing up, Shōkan caught his first sight of Shizuka. The woman was, to put it frankly, gorgeous. Luxurious blonde hair reached down her back, complementing her slim figure. Judging by her toned body, Shōkan could tell that she definitely took care of herself, something that he could respect. Coming into this time, he found that far to many females tried to improve their looks through the most unwholesome means. All of this came to mind in the split second that as she walked through the door. Shōkan didn't catch a glimpse of her face until she turned to the side, probably looking for him. Just as with her body, Shizuka's face was exceptionally beautiful as well.
Full red lips, porcelain skin, and excellent bone structure gave her an ethereal beauty. What really caught Shōkan's gaze however, were her eyes. They were the most unique feature of her appearance in Shōkan's eyes. Heterochromatic, one was a vibrant blazing blue, whereas the other was the color of mint, they held a sort of vibrancy in them, glowing just behind the colors. Shōkan was more than a little surprised. It wasn't as if he had expected Shizuka to be ugly, he simply hadn't expected her to be so ridiculously gorgeous. If anything it was a pleasant surprise though, while Shōkan wasn't a pervert by any stretch, he certainly didn't mind looking at such a perfect example of the female form.
The heterochromia was a bit of a surprise as well, it brought back lots of memories, bittersweet as they passed through his mind. Her eyes were a lovely shade of hazel, highlihgting the feature sof her fave quite nicely. It had been a very long time since he had seen eyes like that, the colors were different, but the startling contrast between the two remained the same. As Shizuka caught sight of Shōkan, her gaze lit up and a smile found it's way to her face. She quickly made her way over to him, and as she reached Shōkan, he stood as was only proper. So many people forget their manners these days don't they? Catching himself just before he bowed slighty, he had to remind himself that people didn't really do that in the modern world.
"Phoenix?" Her voice had a melodic quality to it, like that of a bell or chime, which made it pleasant to hear. At the inquisitive look on her face, Shōkan gave one of the charming smiles he was known for. It was the first thing he'd learned as a child, in social situations, especially in noble circles, a charming smile could start a meeting off right. Not that he was thinking along those lines at the moment, it had simply become habit at this point. Laughing slightly as an icebreaker, Shōkan answered, "Why yes I am... It probably would have been better to tell you my name before hand, I'm Shōkan." For a moment Shōkan was about to add 'Kawada' to that, but then stopped for some reason... he wasn't really sure why, and he supposed it didn't really matter, some instinct just told him too.
Gracefully manuevering himself to the other side of the table and pulled the chair out for her, again, it was only good manners. "I have to say, it's great to finally meet you Shizuka-san, I've really been looking forward to this ever since we made the plans" By this point Shizuka probably would have noticed a few things about Shōkan. From his crisp, high quality clothing, to his perfectly white teeth, Shōkan made it all look effortless. To tell the truth, it was. Growing up with all of the highest standards place upon him at birth, having a 'suitable' appearance came second nature to him. It was expected of the Clan heir after all. If she were paying attention, she would also notice how graceful his movements were, everything from him standing up, to him pulling out her chair for her, had an absentmindedly perfect vibe to it.
Part of it was his martial training, but most of it was the countless hours he spent on ettiquette as a child, and then as Clan Head. She would also notice the intensity of his gaze. From the moment Shizuka had entered, Shōkan's eyes had been on her, and only her. Some people might find it unnerving for such individed attention, others might be flattered, it all depedned on the person, but the point remained that the intensity of Shōkan's gaze pierced right to Shizuka, as if she were some puzzle he were trying to solve. Finally, his eyes relaxed, and he closed them with a smile as he moved to sit back on the other side of the table. "So how are you Shizuka-san? I have to say, you aren't entirely what I expected, bu sometimes xpectations lack the perfection of reality" Shōkan's words were perfectly formed, and sounded like the kind you hear on television, the leaders and politicians and news anchors, the trained orators who say what the mean and mean what they say, and have absolute confidence in those words.
As he was speaking, Shōkan closed his laptop, this encouter was far more interesting than web surfing. Waving one of the waitresses over, Shōkan continued. "Would you like soemthing to drink? Don't worry, it's on me, so get whatever you want" It was clear to anyone who saw Shōkan that he wasn't lackign for money. While he didn't flaunt it like some, it was still obviously evident. One could see it in the designer clothing he wore, the expensive watch, even the way he spoke screamed 'wealth'. That being said, Shōkan didn't seem the stuck up type, even though he was born to money (A lot of money) he worked every day of his life to earn that lifestyle. He'd fought and bled and cursed for every dime his family possesed.
To him, the money didn't really matter, he could lose it all in a day and not bat an eye. That was was seperated him from so many of the aristocratic snobs that you could see anywhere you went. I forgot to mention what exactly Shōkan was wearing didn't I? First of all, his shoes (like the rest of his apparel) were designer, some brand of running shoe that blended style with practicality. They were black, with white laces. His shirt was hihg quality cloth, button up shirt. The sleeves were rolled up, and it was untucked, giving it a casual look. The shirt too, was black, which highlighted his brilliant white hair and glacial blue eyes. The pants were dark blue jeans from some designer he couldn't remember the name of. All of it, from the shoes to the shirt, while very high quality, had an effortless, almost casual quality too it. This garb only highlighted Shōkan's supreme presence and confidence. You could tell in the way he spoke, in the clothes he wears, how he moves, in any sense you want to use. Shōkan is first and foremost comfortable he's confident and that fact alone gives the people around him a relaxed feeling. The man is a natural leader.

"Shōkan, huh?" Shizuka smiled. "I like that name! It sounds very old and distinguished. Must be a family name!"
He was being very polite to her, which was actually incredibly nice. Then again, people were usually polite. It was just that she was so incredibly nervous that it wasn't even funny and he was doing everything in his power to make her feel as comfortable as possible. It was wonderful to see someone put that much effort into a first meeting, even if they didn't really know each other. Not to mention he said it was actually great to finally meet her! Shizuka couldn't remember the last time she had been this excited around someone. It was a little bit of a foreign feeling for her, to be honest.
Shizuka studied Shōkan's face a little bit more as she pulled out a chair and sat down with him at the table. She enjoyed his bone structure a lot, admiring the angles in his face. He looked very mature and proper, which was something she wasn't very used to. Actually, she was more used to younger faces or ones that seemed tired and worn out. It was refreshing to see someone like him who obviously took care of himself, as well. He looked fit and muscular and Shizuka just loved that about him. She loved it about any guy. If someone has enough self-respect to take care of their body like that, they tend to be decent people. Not always, but mostly.
Not to mention his clothes were literally perfection. That's right. Shizuka was a sucker when it came to designer fashion and he was absolutely working it. He was wearing beautiful pieces of fabric and the blonde just couldn't help but stare a little! She was jealous, admittedly, and wished that she had dressed in more expensive clothes herself. She tried not to worry about it too much, but she did start to feel underdressed a little bit. It wasn't a huge deal and she still looked nice, but he was just so professional that it was making her weak in the knees. She respected the effort he put in to such a casual meeting between the two of them.
As she admired him, his comments caught her off-guard. He said that he didn't expect her to look like this, which was fine. Most people don't. But she was well-known in Xcution for being the best at what she did, and she was an excellent interrogator. More often than not, the company would send her on missions where they needed to know information first before the target was terminated, and that was always her job. She had a special way of going about it, and he probably picked up on it easily. Even though she had social anxiety, she made talking to him look effortless. She was always in control, or what seemed like it on the outside. Her insides were what was really messing up from the nerves.
"Oh, you know, I've been okay! I hope that what you see now is better than your original expectations, and I'd love it if I lived up to your hopeful thoughts about me! I can tell you were a little nervous, too. You probably thought I was going to be some random fat guy!"
Shizuka giggled at herself a little bit, trying to show Shōkan that she was genuinely having a good time. She wasn't there for long but she was having fun, and that's what mattered the most. Besides, there was something strangely exciting about meeting people over the internet like this. She was a Fullbringer so "stranger danger" never meant anything to her since she could kill basically any ordinary human. She didn't care enough about that stuff and she was very confident in her abilities. But she just loved the idea of hanging out with someone like Shōkan! He was interesting somehow, like there was something he was hiding from her.
"Would you like something to drink? Don't worry, it's on me, so get whatever you want."
"Hmm..." Shizuka thought for a moment before meeting his eyes with her own again. "Have you ever heard of chai tea lattes? This place sells them and they're my favorite! I'll let you try some if you like? It kind of tastes like gingerbread cookies! But it's a drink!"
It was a little odd. Shizuka hadn't felt this relaxed around someone since meeting Hebika, and now Hebika was gone. She played a disappearing act on her best friend yet again. The first time she was trying to get her gigai, or false body, and this time she just left without a word. It was heartbreaking. But she was able to relate with someone new now, someone who seemed genuinely interested in friendship! That alone was exciting enough. And he was willing to pay for a chai! Oh man, this day just got so much better for the blonde woman.
Shizuka smiled and started playing with her hair, carefully grabbing a piece from behind her head and bringing it around in front of her chest so she could comb it with her fingers. This was a habit of hers when she was nervous, but she was doing okay for now. She didn't want Shōkan to feel any kind of stress or anything because that could make this whole encounter a million times worse. Instead, she just tried to calm herself down in different ways, like distracting herself with random thoughts or listening to the people around her chatter. It was helping, but she still couldn't shake the anxious feeling.
Now, Shizuka couldn't sense energy at all. She had a nice little tool that exposed general power levels so she could see how she would stand a chance in battle, but she had to rely on her analyzing skills to give her any idea of what someone might actually be. She was experiencing some extreme anxiety when it came to guessing what Shōkan was, doubting his full humanity. Why did she think about this, exactly? Because something about him seemed off. All she could rely on was her being hyper-observant and extremely empathetic, so it made it easy to read social cues. It's just that something about this man was throwing her off. He didn't seem evil or bad at all, but he seemed different somehow.
"So Shōkan," Shizuka started, "Tell me a little about yourself! What's your story? Where are you from?"
Maybe she could try interrogating him a little bit. At least, she hoped it would work. She was very good at getting information out of people, because they always wanted to tell her everything for some reason. She assumed it was because they trusted a pretty face, or doubted her because she was a blonde. Hair color had nothing to do with it. She was plenty smart! Heck, she was an engineering student! Regardless, she wasn't doing this to make him uncomfortable. In fact, she tried to sound as nice as possible to give him the benefit of the doubt so he wouldn't suspect her.
It was up to chance now, though. She just prayed that she wouldn't get assigned to a mission in the middle of their meeting. Xcution was very inconsistent with their scheduling time and she didn't want to deal with them bothering her right now when she was busy enjoying a friend's company. She just wanted to sip her chai and have fun while he spilled the beans about his life so they could get a little more personal. She didn't think she was anything bad, but she couldn't help but thing she recognized the feeling she was getting from something she had experienced before. But what was it?

"Shōkan, huh?" Shizuka smiled. "I like that name! It sounds very old and distinguished. Must be a family name!" Shōkan grinned back at Shizuka, his smile really was amazing... His natural charisma and good looks could melt hearts at a glance, and when he smiled, it was as if he was beaming his happiness onto you, and the person he was looking at could really tell that he truly was happy. Those upturned lips and semi-closed eyes were what caused him to be the Sooul Society's most eligible bachelor for years back in his time, and it looked like that wasn't going to change in this time either. "It actually is! It means redemption, something like an old family motto" After that the conversation continued, with the two exchanging pleasantries.
"Oh, you know, I've been okay! I hope that what you see now is better than your original expectations, and I'd love it if I lived up to your hopeful thoughts about me! I can tell you were a little nervous, too. You probably thought I was going to be some random fat guy!" Shōkan actually laughed at that. It was a deep chuckle that started in the chest and made its way out, giving a booming effect that was infectious. When Shōkan laughed, the people around him couldn't quite help but laugh too, or at the least smile. "No Shizuka-san, I never once doubted your identity, " Shōkan smiled, "I'm fairly good at reading people, and you seemed like a very honestly good person too me... And to be frank, you are quite the opposite of 'some old man', you're quite gorgeous in fact" Shōkan gave Shizuka another one of his charming smiles.
At Shōkan's suggestion, Shizuka pondered her decisions, "Hmm..." Shizuka thought for a moment before meeting his eyes with her own again. "Have you ever heard of chai tea lattes? This place sells them and they're my favorite! I'll let you try some if you like? It kind of tastes like gingerbread cookies! But it's a drink!" Shōkan's eyes widened a bit at this, he loved gingerbread cookies... This new time had so many amazing inventions, if they really had found a way to give the taste of gingerbread cookies, then he had to try it. "You know... I think I'll take you up on that offer Shizuka-san!"
"So Shōkan," Shizuka started, "Tell me a little about yourself! What's your story? Where are you from?" At this, Shōkan fell back into his backstory, a severly edited version of his actual life. "Well you see-" Just before Shōkan could truly begin, the drink arrived, and Shōkan took the moment to try some of it, "You don't mind right?" Always the gentleman, Shōkan asked for permission before he partook in the delicious beverage... Shizuka was right, it did indeed taste of gingerbread cookies! Exceedingly so! Shōkan actually had to make himself stop at the one sip, it tasted so good. "You were right! It's amazing!"
"Anyway, back to my story..." Shōkan began telling his artificial tale once again. "Well, I grew up in a secluded mountain village in the middle of nowhere really... Around there, technology was practically forbidden, and tradition was upheld as the absolute." Shōkan's eyes glazed over slightly as he continued his story. "I was born into the villages most prominent family, so, as you can guess, a lot of pressure was placed on me as a child. I think I upheld it, learnign all of the political manuevers and such, I also had to learn how to run the village as that was what I was meant to do... My birthright you might say."
Of course, this wasn't quite what really happened. Shōkan was born the heir of the illustrious Kawada Clan over a thousand years ago, not some country village... "Life went on for years, and I began to take on the duties as the villages leader. A few year after i assumed that role however, everything changed." Around this point, Shōkan's eyes took on a heartbreakingly sad view. Unbeknownst to Shōkan, his story hadn't just entranced Shizuka, but also many of the girls (and even a few of the men) in the coffee shop, who leaned towards him, trying to look inconspicious. When he began to look despairing however, an almost unanimous gasp went around the room, so heartwrenchingly sad did he look.
"Terrorists. They were a radical group that thought our traditionalist ways should make way for the future. They attacked our village, the other men and I tried our best to defend it but... Well, everyone was killed. Everyone I had ever known or loved, my family, my friends, even my fiancee... All murdered in front of my eyes. They left me for dead as well, and I might have if I hadn't been found. As it was, I still was left in a coma for several years before I awakened recently..." He looked back up at Shizuka, unspoken amounts of gratitude welling up behing his eyes. "I really want to thank you, ever since I revived out of the coma, everything has been so different. I didn't know anyone, and I didn't know anything about technology. You helped me so much without realizing it..." Suddenly Shōkan stood up and bowed low, "Arigatou gozaimasu Shizuka-san!"
After Shizuka's reaction to all of that, Shōkan would ask her about herself. What was her story?

Lying. He was lying. Throughout the entire story, Shōkan actually thought Shizuka would believe him. That was outrageous! She knew that he had to have some kind of reason to make something like this up, but she wasn't sure yet. She watched his actions and accounted for each and every small movement she could possibly find. He had certain 'tells,' certain ways he twitched or moved that were typical of liars. Now, Shizuka could tell that this wasn't necessarily a usual habit for him, but she didn't know what he was trying to hide, either.
Her analyzing abilities were pretty top notch and she was very proud of herself. They had to be! She was an assassin, after all! She needed to be properly trained so that everything fell in to place while she was out on missions. This was why it was so easy to watch him and act as enthusiastic about the conversation as possible while she actually studied his small habits here and there. Every twitch meant something so she tried looking for continuities. If they happened repeatedly, that typically meant it was just a reaction to talking. The rare ones were tells.
Shizuka had to admit, his story was pretty entertaining for it to all be fake. She was quick to pick up on his lying because she was trained to do so for so long, but even she made mistakes sometimes. She began doubting herself a little because he seemed so genuine, so sincere, and it honestly made the Fullbringer a little uneasy. Not in a bad way, of course, but she was curious about his life. His real life. How much of this was true and which parts were the lies? Obviously, she knew that he was limited with technology. But he was such a fast learner that it almost didn't matter.
Not to mention, every time he spoke, Shizuka couldn't help but look into his big, beautiful eyes. They were so inviting and so friendly that she couldn't stand it. She remembered Takashi Kuchiki's eyes and how his radiant blue tinges mesmerized her, noting the comparison between the two men. Something about Shōkan actually reminded Shizuka of Takashi beyond just his eyes, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. Maybe it was the partial friendliness or the overall bone structure. They couldn't be related, but it was odd that they reminded her so much of each other.
Still, he was sweet. Actually, he thanked Shizuka profusely in Japanese for listening to his tale of woe. She was a little embarrassed, but it was nice of him to be so considerate of her while she was there with him! And he even liked the chai she got! She knew he would, though. For heaven's sake, it was chai! She basically lived off that stuff. It was delicious and really not all that good for you, but it had some stuff that was healthy, right? It was made of tea and milk. What's the worst that could happen? Shizuka smiled at Shōkan and told him that it was alright and he could sit back down.
"Wow, I had no idea so much happened to you! That's a lot to take in, though... It seems so strange that such awful things would happen to people like that. And you're the head of an entire village? Amazing!"
She figured it out. His story wasn't necessarily false. It was just the way he was telling it. Something seemed so off to her but she was able to decipher the code enough to realize where the flaw was when he spoke. Code being figurative, of course. This wasn't actually anything literal that she needed to focus on, but the metaphor worked really well here. Anyway, Shizuka was watching Shōkan get super into his story. Admittedly, it was pretty cute that he got so emotional. Shizuka rested her elbows against the top of the table and let her chin sit on her hands. She was fairly intrigued.
And just as it was all coming together, she realized he asked her about her own story. She totally didn't realize he was even talking to her anymore! Oh gosh, that's embarrassing. She tried to gather her thoughts and explain everything the best she could, but all she got out was an awkward story about her childhood, why she hates her sister, her wonderful friendship with her aunt, and some other nonsense about being a mechanical engineering student at Tokyo University. She didn't think this was the kind of answer he wanted, but it was all she could give him.
That is, of course, until Shizuka's phone buzzed and signaled her received text message. She pulled the screen out of her designer bag and checked it, briefly apologizing to Shōkan for being so rude. The contact had no name and didn't even show a number. Makes sense. If anyone ever stole her phone, Shizuka couldn't be responsible for anyone figuring out who she really worked for. There was a date, a start time, a mission statement, and a time limit. Every mission was given a time limit depending on the difficulty. Since this one read thirty-six hours, she knew it wouldn't be difficult.
"Oh, um, something's come up and it's sort of an emergency... I'd hate to bail on you like this, but would you mind meeting up another time?" Shizuka asked apologetically.

After finihsing his tale, Shizuka let out an exclamation. "Wow, I had no idea so much happened to you! That's a lot to take in, though... It seems so strange that such awful things would happen to people like that. And you're the head of an entire village? Amazing!" Shōkan couldn't stop the grin that reache dhis face at this. Shizuka was, to put it frankly, adorable. Laughing a bit, Shōkan rubbed the back of his head, "Oh, it was nothing really... I'm just trying to make my way in the world again... It's hard, everything has changed so much..." After that, Shōkan inquired into Shizuka's past, curious as to what her story would be. he didn't get much out of it, but that was okay, it was clear that she felt uncomfortable talking about it, so he didn't push the matter.
After that, they talked for a while more. Mostly about htings that had happened in the news recently, and their favorite activities online. It wasn't long after that however, that Shizuka recieved some sort of text. She seemed a bit annoyed when looking at it, Shōkan assumed it wasn't good news. "Oh, um, something's come up and it's sort of an emergency... I'd hate to bail on you like this, but would you mind meeting up another time?" Shōkan gave her a smile and began to answer "Of course it's fine Shizu-" before he could finish however, a hand reached out and touched his shoulder. Looking up at the individual, Shōkan recognized him immediately. Geoffrey Wilcox.
Goeffrey, or Joff as Shōkan reffered to him, was Shōkan's personal manservant, and also a friend. it just so happened that Geoffrey was the one who initially found Shōkan after he fell from the entrance of the stasis dimension, ruhsing him over to the squad 4 barracks immediately. For that, Shōkan was eternally grateful, and had insisted he transfer from the kawada Guardsmen, to his personal manservant. Looking up at him curiously, Shōkan asked Joff, "Joff? What is it?" Handing his master a small, simple flip phone, Joff only said "For you". Looking down at the phone, Shōkan sighed in exhasperation.
11:00 A.M.
One Hollow Class: Regular Difficulty: Easy Orders: Extermination Location: Karakura Park
Looking back at Shizuka, Shōkan gave her a smile "Actually, it's okay Shizuka-san, it seems somethign has come up for me as well." Goodbyes were always awkward, Shōkan wasn't sure if they should hug, or shake hands... In the end he left the method up to Shizuka, and left the cafe with a wave at Shizuka's direction, stepping into the back of a perfectly black rolls royce, with pitch black tinted windows. With that, Shōkan had Joff drive him towards the Karakura Park, whilst preparing to use a simple Chikogan to leave his body behind, in the capable care of Joff, while he went to exorcise the hollow.
Arriving at the destination, Shōkan could see that the hollow was weak, probably just tranformed, with a monkey like bone mask. It was approximately ten feet tall, and build semi-humanoid, like a gorilla. It sat still, perfectly still, watching the inhabitants of Karakura town pass by under the tree he was sitting in. Since the hollow wasn't making any aggressive actions, Shōkan chose to wait a few moments to find out what it might be up to, masking his reaitsu and hiding in a tree a few hundred yards away.
Wonderful, Shizuka thought to herself. She wasn't exactly super excited about having to do a mission right in the middle of her meeting, but apparently it wasn't even a big deal. Shōkan had his man slave/servant/guy/thing come up to him and tell him that something was going on, along with hand him a phone that must've said something awful on it. Shōkan sighed heavily and seemed genuinely upset by whatever it was that was on the phone, but Shizuka didn't have time to be bothered. She had thirty minutes to get to the location, which was sent to her in a following message.
Shōkan apologized and said that there was no need to worry since something came up for him, too. Nothing major really crossed Shizuka's mind, so she didn't put two and two together at first. She ignored it and figured he just had some business to take care of or something. He was dressed rather nicely, after all. Meeting someone for the first time is considered formal, but even he was taking it a tiny bit far. Shizuka adored the sense of fashion, though. She really did appreciate the effort he put into in regards to his look.
Anyway, Shizuka hugged Shōkan super tightly and unknowingly just squished her boobs against his chest, which made her blush once she realized what she was doing as she let go. She never really intentionally did that to anyone, but she hoped his mind wasn't in the gutter like most other guys. Actually, now that she thought about it, she's always had boobs. When she was a kid she never really paid much attention, but she didn't know what it felt like to have a flat chest like a man's and be hugged by someone with breasts. Did he feel weird? Was it arousing? She had no idea.
The two men left in a beautiful Rolls Royce, which would have made Shizuka jealous if she didn't already have a Lamborghini in her possession. She knew some pretty important people who were more than willing to do favors for her, including get her a pretty sports car. She loved the heck out of it, too. It was a Gallardo. A bright pink Gallardo. She loved that work of art to death and didn't even have to make payments on it. Actually, it was a pretty sweet deal! All she had to do was drive it. But she didn't drive today. She didn't need to!
She ran quickly to Karakura Park where she was told her mission was assigned. She made it there rather quickly since it was only a few blocks away, and it took even less time since she cut through some areas that cars couldn't. Because of this, Shizuka was the only one around in the park. Shizuka immediately noticed the Hollow and assumed that was her target, but it wasn't moving. It was just watching the people around it for some strange reason. Usually these things were super destructive and awful but this one was sort of chilling there.
It didn't matter to her, though. She knew that Hollows were dangerous and needed to be destroyed, but the real problem was getting the kids to move. She didn't want to hurt anyone, but it was mostly kids who were near the monster in the first place. Shizuka was about fifty meters from the Hollow but quickly closed the distance between them with Bringer Light, hoping the bright harshness of her movement would scare the children away and make people leave the area. Luckily, it managed pretty well.
Shizuka's beautiful golden heels glowed a bright purple as the light they produced lifted above her head. One of the lights formed a bucket shape and quickly moved to the ground where it finally took form while the other light morphed into a large, three-foot-long water gun. Shizuka caught the gun as it fell just above her head and pumped it full of the hydrochloric acid that she knew would come in handy. She would have to make sure she stayed away since even fumes could burn the skin, but she knew how to neutralize it.
Since the distance between her and the Hollow was virtually nonexistent now, she immediately gained about ten meters of distance between the two of them. The Hollow did nothing aside from look at her, which she thought was strange, but decided to ignore. She aimed her gun quickly at its mask and used her Blast Cannon setting to easily shoot out ten gallons at a time until the Hollow's mask, and eventually the rest of it, corroded away. She used all 100 gallons of liquid stored in a matter of seconds and refilled her bucket with a mixture of Sodium Hydroxide and water, which would dilute neutralize the Hydrochloric Acid.
The Hollow had been letting out such loud roars and screams, but Shizuka blocked them out of her mind. Once the screams stopped, she emptied the bucket's second contents on the area by simply dumping it there. She stood on air ground to avoid the acid, but since wind was blowing, she knew the fumes wouldn't be a problem. They would disperse enough for everyone to be safe and so no one would get hurt. She sighed with relief. The Hollow was laying in the batch of acid, but she was going to leave it there. Eventually the thing would disappear on its own.
Shizuka lifted her gun up with her right hand and rested it on her corresponding shoulder, then shifted her weight to one foot in a feminine way. She was proud of herself, especially since this assignment took basically no time at all. Xcution always gave more than enough time on certain assignments because they knew that their assassins may not be close by to the target. They were so considerate! Shizuka smiled at herself and her work, admiring it. The Hollow's mask was destroyed and its head was corroded, which was one of the basic ways Shizuka knew it was gone. She didn't know much about Hollows, but she knew she could erase them. What an outing this has been!

62 paragraphs = 310 CTP Shizuka, 155 SP Shokan
Also, this is by no means a mod demand, but kinda just a personal request: Arashi, unless there is a dire need for you to get the CTP/SP/TTP (Like, you need it to learn a tech, or your about to go into a PvP and it's crucial, or something like that), minimize the partial gradings, okay?
