Hello, I am the person who's been flooding the Chatango when there is someone around who might reply, since many in the community left for the reincarnation of Skype. There is a fairly complex system of mechanics here, so I have put off getting started until I figure out how to best represent things in the framework given.
The character represented by this account was briefly previewed in this free thread, showing that they did not quite fit into any of the categories available to players here, as first written. Hazama, a living college student who, heir to a spiritual family, fused with a strange soul that fell from the sky one night. Since then, the strange, animalistic creature known as Hakuo has been spiritual prop they use to pretend that they're two separate beings, dividing up his feelings, thought process, and acquired hunting instincts. Since there is only one mind, he does slip up on his behavior, but the basic act is reinforced by years of experience on their part.
This seems as good a time as any to ask what needs to change, before they could be considered normal enough for approval. At the very least, I assumed one of the false pairing would have to disappear, among the more simple changes to fit the mechanics presented.
One thing I would recommend taking a look at would be the Fractured Type. It's not quite the same as what you want to go for, but I think it's the closest you can get to it on site without good backstory or creative uses of powers.
You could also consider a perma-release type, rolled as a Fullbringer/Human, whose Fullbring allows them to absorb reiatsu. With long enough periods of contact, they could absorb a spiritual being like a Hollow completely, with the drawback that it gets a voice in their head. Rolling that as perma-release would make it easy to justify this happening in backstory, but a powerset like that I could see justifying this at basically any point.
For me, the trickier part is honestly the heir of a spiritual family bit for a human. Do you mean a family from the afterlife? If so, they would generally all be plus souls as well. If you just mean a spiritually aware family, that's way easier.
Oooh. Fun idea I just had though. What if your character was, possibly without them knowing, a test subject for the Hollowification Pills that are used to counter Bankai Stealing? I could see an early revision of that screwing up and doing something like this.
The big thing from where I'm looking at it is that usually if stuff like this is kept as cool flavor details, rather than excuses to have powerups, then it's usually fine. That said, I'm not staff, so this is just me shooting off a bunch of ideas. If you have any more questions, I'm Pie on discord, or you can reply here.

This is purely flavor, and can be adjusted easily enough, to a degree. As originally envisioned, they were a from a line of minor mediums, before choosing to seal a hollow into themselves, and losing the ability to do so further as a result of "not being the same person". I do like the hollowfication pills as an alternative origin point.
Their personality doesn't meet the requirement for Fractured, since there is only one mind. The situation is fundamentally backwards from someone like Starrk, who divided their soul into two to gain a companion, Hazama is two souls pressed together to the point they can no longer be told apart. Perma release would work, with the ability being the illusion that the thing perched on his shoulder exists, creating the separate voice needed for his one sided banter, and so on.
I do not mind a mechanics disconnect, but I feel the better option would be to integrate it as best possible. I do not want extra power, I want to tell a specific story that doesn't quite fit in with other stories I've seen. It can be an extra weak point, since I imagine any fight where his decoy breaks ends with him scurrying off in a huff. Nothing shakes one out of the thrill of a hunt more than losing something they use everyday, and it is a hassle to make a new one on short notice.
Ah, yeah, if they are just a normal human that's a medium that's easy enough. Assuming you're rolling as a Fullbringer, you can see ghosts starting at Class 8 after all.
Given that Fullbringers powers originate from Hollows, I think the whole idea isn't too far-fetched. If it was being done on a Quincy, that'd be different as they are literally poisoned by Hollow Reiatsu. I think we've discussed a number of workable reasons for the Hollow to be pressed into them. As long as you don't go full-Ichigo and start trying to get a Vizard Mask on a Human then I think you're good there.
If I understand correctly, splitting a part of the mind off into the Hollow is purely a flavor detail, and offers zero combat benefit. If anything, it offers a liability. If I understand that correctly, you could always just submit a custom General Reiatsu Technique along with the character that allows them to achieve this. I would do something like the technique below, but obviously it would require moderator approval since it's a custom technique.
Name: Personality Split
Class: 7
Power: This is a technique that is used by Hazama to filter out some parts of their personality into a separate physical body. The body is small and weak, possessing barely enough strength and speed to stand, and just enough instinct and senses to think. This technique is always active, and the reiatsu is automatically deducted from Hazama's pool at the start of a thread. While active, Hazama's primal instincts are split into this body, allowing them to remain more calm and focused. Instead of the thoughts being directly in their head, they are given an alternate body, and the two converse back and forth normally.
Drawback: It has no combat abilities whatsoever, as it weighs so little that it would be akin to a mod soul in their plushie form trying to hit someone. If the construct is killed in battle, then all those primal emotions flood back into Hazama immediately. For {some number} of posts, the construct cannot be reformed, and Hazama becomes overwhelmed by these primal urges. During this time, Hazama is less able to think of a rational battle plan, and far more bloodthirsty.

Yeah, I was just throwing a general idea out there as a starting point. Feel free to tweak it as needed. If it's OP or a no-go then that's up to staff to tell you at the end of the day.

I find it necessary to apologize for my revival of this thread, as I type out this particular post, and would like to make it clear that I am sorry for any inconvenience I cause by doing so. Since humans contaminated with hollow reiatsu are not allowed here, despite my mistaken read-through of what a fullbringer was, and I was wrong to try and bend that rule. I have since taken the character profile I had written down, leaving the replies to that post up for now, as I do not seem to be able to remove threads I have started from this site, which is also the reason I felt it better to use this thread again.
Is it possible to have unrealistic weapons and fighting styles without it being a release? As examples, can a character who throws paper prayer strips, or using a man-sized urn of water as a bludgeoning instrument, expect to deal actual damage through skill, without having an additional technique or ability that exists for the purpose of making those methods function. Or would it be preferred by the forum that every style have techniques to give their basic attacks mechanical backing that allows them to exist within the greater context of the battle mechanics?

That answer has been pleasant to read. Another question, according to the wiki, fullbringers can share and trade their releases, is it possible to implement that element here, or would balance or other reasons rule it out?
Edit; Have since been told no, but still interested in the concept as a plot device.
