Physical Description: [
Yoko’s usual expression is one of disinterest and boredom, as if she has better things to be doing. Her eyes are slightly round, but they are often narrowed in a disdainful gaze. Looking into her eyes tends to send a shiver down the spine of most men, and that’s fine with her. Those who aren’t sent packing by her cold expression can ascertain the reason behind her tough appearance fairly easily. She has eyes that clearly belong to a warrior. There’s a certain type of look that can only be obtained when one has seen hundreds or thousands of people killed right before their eyes, and Yoko has that look about her. They are the eyes of one who is far too familiar with death.
The rest of her face isn’t quite as cold as her eyes. It’s nearly impossible to have a nose that looks like it hates you after all. That feature mostly just blends into the rest of her face. It isn’t outstanding in any way. On the other hand, her lips always appear to be lightly coated with pink lipstick, or perhaps just a bit of gloss, but that is simply their natural color. Yoko’s rather small mouth is almost always in a scowl though, so her otherwise attractive lips don’t make her look like a model very often. Behind those lips are fairly unremarkable teeth. They lack any fangs or anything interesting, but they’re evenly spaced and kept nice and white from good hygiene.
Her hair is a very light blonde, bordering on platinum in bright light. It falls to the top of her breasts in front, but it is a few inches longer in back, reaching to halfway down her back if let down all the way. Normally she wears her bangs in a way that sweeps the front section away from her eyes while the sides rest on her shoulders. The back of her hair varies considerably depending on the situation. If she’s off the clock, it’s most often simply left loose, but it will sometimes be done up in a ponytail. When she’s at work, it’s usually done up in a bun with a braided loop around it. It’s a rather professional look, but definitely out of the ordinary in Japan.
While Yoko has grown a bit in the last few years, she’s still rather short. She only comes in at five foot three, but her appearance has matured in other ways far more. Her figure is still fairly petite overall, but it’s nearly impossible to mistake her for a man anymore. Her skin is generally quite smooth, and she actually takes good care of herself nowadays. She still doesn’t use any makeup, and her ears still aren’t pierced, and her nails still aren’t painted ever… okay, maybe she doesn’t take care of herself as well as a normal woman does. Still, she has taken to using a few basics to keep up her appearance so that she appears professional. It’s mostly just some basic moisturizers, and some aloe to reduce the calluses on her hands.
Much can be said about her hands beyond what she uses to condition them though. This part of her body is an essential part of her well-being, and thus a great deal of attention is paid to their care. Her nails are kept short and curved so that they don’t extend past the rest of her finger. Chipping a nail in the middle of combat is an unnecessary risk, so Yoko avoids it by not letting her nails grow out. Despite all she puts them through, her hands are rather smooth thanks to the products she uses on them. Calluses are a nice symbol of being tough, but having one pop in the middle of a fight is another risk that doesn’t need to be there. That too is avoided for purely pragmatic reasons.
Though it isn’t her intent, this treatment does leave Yoko with fairly dainty looking hands. It isn’t helped by the fact that she’s still quite thin overall. Her fingers are thin, and appear rather nimble. While the reason for that is because of her skill in martial arts, swordplay, and firearms, Yoko still comes off with feminine looking hands as a result of the care she gives them. The rest of her body fares somewhat similarly. Her arms are kept clear of any hair. Excess hair could be lit on fire or ripped out. It’s just another advantage that someone could have against her. Between her well maintained skin and the lack of any body hair, her arms definitely appear almost frail at first glance.
Those arms are one of the places where her masculine habits show off the most though. They are smooth, soft, and desirable, but that isn’t the whole story. If Yoko makes a good strongman pose, it’s immediately clear that she’s probably stronger than any of the men in the room who don’t work out. Athletic men are still probably a good deal bulkier than she is though. Flexing still leaves all of her arm muscles clearly defined, and that’s something that very few women can claim. That level of muscle definition isn’t limited to Yoko’s arms, but that’s the area where it’s the most prominent for sure. She hasn’t been using steroids or anything, and her weight is only up to 120 pounds, so her muscles are far from bulky. Still, things like a bicep are fairly easy to notice when they’re well defined.
Of course all that plural usage in the last two paragraphs was only to mislead you! It’s actually only an accurate description of Yoko’s right arm. Her left arm is far more interesting, and one she’s actually fairly proud of, despite the story behind it sucking. She lost her left arm in a battle with an assassin ((Zack)), and had it replaced by a limb made of metal by a Shinigami medic. That story is one for another time, but we can still talk about the arm itself here. Mechanically, it’s nothing short of amazing. The inside of the limb perfectly simulates the working of normal joints through a ball joint that plugs into the shoulder and a second one at the elbow. A few more are used for things like the wrist and the fingers.
The limb still has normal sensory ability, but it registers pain a bit differently than flesh and blood would. Pain is only registered when the body undergoes a dangerous sensation, and this limb of metal is far stronger than flesh and blood. It has defensive strength equal to the reiatsu strength of its caster, meaning it has 800 defensive strength. Because the limb is so durable, it only actually registers pain when it is the victim of damage enough to actually cause harm, and this is a higher threshold than found in a normal limb. That isn’t to say the limb is invulnerable or unable to feel pain though. It can still be destroyed and busted up, it’s just harder to do that to this limb, and thus it’s harder to inflict pain on as well.
It also looks pretty awesome, in Yoko’s opinion at least. Like any normal limb, it’s got human features, but all metal-ly. The limb connects into her shoulder, and a bit of metal covers a small portion of her collarbone, the side of her chest below the arm, and the top of her shoulder. This is so that the limb has a firm grip on her body and doesn’t pop out just because someone wacks it. There’s a bunch of cool looking screw and gears and stuff visible in some parts of it too. They’re especially visible near the joints. The pictures below show some of the details pretty well, but the major difference is the color. Rather than being shiny like some steel, it’s much darker. It’s closer in appearance to carbon fiber or wrought iron.
Back on the topic of her actual body, other notable muscles of Yoko’s would be her abs, back, and legs. Her abs are perfectly flat, and they’re hard enough you don’t want to punch them. She still has enough body fat that you can’t make out each muscle, but even this tomboy things girls look a bit weird with overly defined abs, so that’s fine. Despite it being a cliché as hell term, the simplest way to describe her legs would be “toned.” They aren’t especially muscular, but these limbs are nice and firm. There’s a bit of give to her legs, but they’re in good enough shape that almost all of their mass is muscle. Either way, they aren’t too large, so they still look fairly girly if they aren’t being flexed. Though, if she does flex them, and you actually know what a strong leg looks like, you’d be able to tell Yoko can probably squat twice her body weight fairly easily.
Yoko’s backside is also noteworthy, and no, that doesn’t just mean she has a nice ass. Even among most women who are in good shape, their back tends to be pretty much straight up and down. With Yoko, that isn’t the case. Her traps and delts are well defined, but her lats are built up enough that they actually cause her back to flair out slightly if they’re flexed. All that being said though… she does have a good butt. Due to her low weight, there isn’t a ton of junk in this trunk, but it’s still shapely enough. Most of what’s there is muscle, so, like the rest of her body, it’s rather firm.
And since we’ve gotten to the point of the appearance that we’ve talked about her butt… it’s also time to give mention to the part of the body Yoko dislikes the most. Her chest has grown considerably in recent years, much to her annoyance. In the past, she could just wrap it up or throw on a baggy shirt and look perfectly flat. That’s not the case anymore. She’s now up to B cups, and that means they’re hard to hide. About the only thing that works is her released fullbring, and that’s since it’s full body armor with a predefined non-feminine shape. While yes, they’re nice if you’re looking to get attention from men, this aspect of Yoko’s body is nothing but trouble in her eyes.
Yoko’s body isn’t the only thing that has matured about her in the last few years. Her voice has also changed a decent amount. It was light, airy, and carefree before. Now, it is a much deeper tone. It’s not quite deep enough to be masculine, but it’s no longer an obviously female voice. Well, not right away at least. If she says more than a few words then you can probably peg her as female. What really throws most people is simply how weary her voice sounds. A voice like hers simply sounds too old for her body. It’s the voice of someone who has been through far more hardship than a girl her age should have been through. Almost as eerie is how calm she sounds. It takes a lot to get an emotional reaction out of Yoko, and it takes even more for emotion to show in her voice.

There isn’t much else to discuss about Yoko’s body itself, but her appearance is still far from over. Her reiatsu has also changed as she’s grown, and thus the appearance of it has changed a bit. It typically shows as a dark gold, whether it is merely an aura around her or an explosion of power. This changes with the activation of stages two or three of willpower. If either of those is activated, her reiatsu switches to become red as long as the technique is on. While this can make it easier for enemies to track whether the technique is active or not, it doesn’t matter much. Oddly enough, this only happens with willpower, and not with other stat boosting techniques.
Regardless of the color of her reiatsu, it always has a fierce quality about it. Rather than simply blasting aimlessly into the sky like it does with most people, even the most awesome displays of her power tend to be rather condensed. Part of this owes to her control, but most of it is simply because her reiatsu strength is not god tier. Most often, her reiatsu aura will simply surround her, giving her an intimidating glow. If she’s really flexing her power, it will be more likely to jaggedly spike outwards a foot or two. When she’s released, her release may even take on the color of the aura that she’s giving off. Of course it doesn’t actually change, but if she’s surrounded by colored light, then the pure-white release is definitely going to look a different color.
As far as her clothing goes, there are a few outfits that Yoko tends to stick to. Regardless of what she’s wearing, a few details are usually the same. Her first layer of clothing is almost always a black pair of boyshorts and a matching sports bra. The only occasion that calls for anything different would be the unthinkable times that Yoko might be caught wearing a dress or on a date. Either of those is rare enough that they’re barely worth mentioning though. Aside from her underwear, the only other guaranteed article of clothing on her is a fairly plain chain necklace. Most of the time, both this chain and the item on it will be hidden beneath other clothing. All that’s on the necklace is a little blue circle that looks kinda like an odd smiley face.
For actual outfits, Yoko has a few. When she’s at work, which is a good chunk of the time, she’s probably wearing one of two things. If they aren’t going out to some place where she needs to be incognito, she simply wears the standard uniform assigned to Uzaki Enterprises Security Forces. Of course, it’s not really standard. She’s one of the only women that works on that team, so it had to be custom made for her. The outfit honestly resembles a black school uniform a bit up top. White collared shirt? Check. Tie? Check. Black coat with gold trim, lots of buttons, and a logo (the Uzaki Enterprises one of course)? Check. The only thing that makes it clearly not a school uniform is the fact that it’s paired with long, flowing skirt, black dress boots, and tights. She really does hate the bottom half of that uniform, but she doesn’t have much of a say in it.
If they actually need to blend in, then Yoko will usually just wear a nice black suit. It’s nothing fancy, but it does look pretty good on her, and she likes wearing it because it has pants rather than a skirt. The slacks are rather unremarkable, but they’re tailored to both show off Yoko’s butt and be easy to fight in. Only one of those things is something she’s happy about, and guessing which shouldn’t be too hard. Those slacks are held up by an eggplant colored belt. That belt matches the vest of this outfit, and compliments the lilac dress shirt beneath it. An eggplant colored tie and two-button black suitjacket nearly complete the outfit. Black gloves and brown dress shoes bring it to a true close.
Sometimes shit really hits the fan, but not enough to require Yoko to release her powers. In those cases, she may use a customized version of some of the equipment that Uzaki Enterprises sells to others. Between the Suit and Gauntlets, customized to her taste, her appearance goes from merely “cold” to nearly demonic. The custom appearance of her suit and gauntlets resembles a set of knightly armor for a knight in the army of Lucifer himself. The black plates of metal are traced with lines that glow with Yoko’s reiatsu. When she has willpower active, those lines switch colors along with her reiatsu, becoming dark red. The suit has greaves and boots as well, but those are hidden beneath black and violet waves of cloth. Truly, this armor is a masterpiece fit for a demon.
Outside of work, Yoko can be found in one of two types of clothing. Her “default” casual clothing is a white tanktop, men’s of course, and a pair of slightly baggy black slacks. It’s a fairly simple outfit, and that’s why she likes it. If she’s not wearing something like that, then she’s probably all dressed up. One of the only reasons Yoko actually cares about his appearance is if she’s cosplaying. She owns random outfits covering a number of characters, and she’ll just randomly wear them around. Sometimes she doesn’t even have the actual outfit, but just a single piece of it that was being sold dirt cheap. For example, she has a hoody that looks like Naruto’s jacket, but she doesn’t have any pants to match it. Oh well. She can get those next con.

Overall Personality: There are three layers that make up Yoko's personality: Tomboy, Nerd, and Basket-Case. The tomboy side is the one that most people get to know, as it’s the side of Yoko that appears in public. She’s generally the antithesis of anything girly. She doesn’t like shopping, the color pink, or fangirling over boy bands. Instead she spends most of her time in public as a passive figure in the background. She’s the type to sit back and avoid conversation unless it’s necessary… or at least beneficial for a reason beyond simply being social. While she does give off a lone wolf vibe, she’s fiercely loyal to those she cares about.
In private, Yoko turns into a complete mecha otaku. Her time at home is largely spent locked in her room. She works on models of robots, watches anime, and even has begun studying robotics a bit. This side of her is completely at odds with the personality she normally shows in public. The only thing that is consistent between these first two layers of personality is that she tends to be a loner. The tomboy side of her doesn’t often get to hang out with other people because the traditional gender rules are a big deal with most people in Japan. The nerd side of Yoko doesn’t get to hang out with people because female otaku are even bigger rejects than tomboys.
The final side of Yoko is the Basket-Case. This side of her is the true personality, buried under everything else. Yoko is full of uncertainty about her identity, and she’s got a few psychological issues as a result. Her loner-streak is indicative of anti-social personality disorder in the eyes of some, but she really just doesn’t like most of the Japanese norms. The main issue she deals with is her sexuality and gender. Whether it’s martial arts or robots, no part of Yoko is all that feminine. She strongly believes she was born the wrong gender, but she can’t bring herself to tell that to anyone. She was raised as a strict Catholic, and even though she doesn’t buy into that fully, she would probably be kicked out of her parents’ house if she came out as either transgender or agnostic. Good thing she moved out once she got a job!
Despite all this, it is possible to get to know Yoko on a deep level. She’s willing to put her trust in people, but only if she gets the feeling that her secrets will be safe with them. If anyone manages to achieve the task of getting to know her, they’ll have found one of the most loyal friends they can imagine. Because Yoko isn’t used to having people she can trust, she would defend a friend to the death. The thought of finally making a true friend and then losing them would likely break her mind beyond repair. Sadly, this also means Yoko is the type whose will can probably be bent by false friendships pretty easily.
Nowadays, Yoko has had a chance to do a lot more growing up, and her personality has changed as a result of all she’s been through. The simplest way to sum up the changes is by saying that she’s now far more closed off than she used to be. While she still enjoys many of the same things that she used to, those are less obvious on the surface. She’s less likely to compare things to an anime or a game in conversation, but she’ll still think about that kind of stuff. It just doesn’t come out of her mouth very often. Trying to get to the really deep parts of her, like the whole bit about her gender identity, is beyond challenging. It was hard before, but now you have to have a bond thicker than blood for it to even be considered.
The fun-loving side of Yoko is also far less prevalent, especially when she’s on the clock. That’s a big divisor for her as well. When she’s on the clock, she’s a lot different from when she doesn’t have to be all professional. So long as she is wearing the symbol of Uzaki Enterprises, professionalism comes before fun, and that’s most of the time. Unfortunately, Yoko hasn’t really figured out how to mix professionalism and being nice, so she tends to come off as a bit of a heartless bitch. Her outer shell is cold as ice, and the closest you’ll get to piercing it while she’s on duty is an invitation to come talk to her when she’s on a break.
When she’s off the clock, her personality is significantly different. Her job is incredibly stressful, and so she needs to make sure she unwinds quite a bit in the privacy of her own home. This is when the old Yoko comes back a bit. Underneath all the walls she's built up, there's still a girl looking for acceptance. She still wants to just sit around and play games, and she still is every bit as much of an Otaku. It just doesn't show as much anymore. Her interests have expanded a bit though. She had a harder time accessing Japanese material while she was deployed, so she's more of a generalist now. She got into western comics and sci-fi quite a bit more over these last few years, and that shows in some of the references she makes.

-Personality-
Dislikes:
- Being treated like a girl - Despite her appearance, Yoko is actually relatively masculine when it comes to what she likes and who she hangs out with. When people go out of the way to remind her that she's a girl, she tends to take offense pretty darn fast. If you want to get on her good side, just treat her like one of the guys.
- Romance - While Yoko isn’t completely shut off to romance, it isn't something that interests her a great deal. She'd rather spend her time training, watching TV, or doing just about anything else really. However, this doesn't mean she dislikes romance as a concept, or even as a story, just that she has no desire to get romantically involved with someone. Sex is still on the table though.
- Academics - Most classes feel like a complete waste of time. When is she going to need to know which Shogun outlawed swords in public. Who cares what 12395x35 is? No one. There are some classes that make it worthwhile, but school is generally a waste of time.
- Horror Movies - Do people actually get scared by these things? Their plots are completely unbelievable, and they're all incredibly boring. The most plot development that most of these movies have is just "Hi, we're stupid teenagers who are about to get murdered!"
- Police - Anarchy would probably work just as well. They spend more time arresting people for pointless things like drugs or speeding than they do catching people that are actually a problem. The private sector is far better at handling these kinds of things.
- Zeich Yajuu – Captain Asshole, reporting for duty. Seriously, this guy was a total jerk. He showed up and stopped all the fun Yoko was having. On top of that, he’s a cold, emotionless bastard. You probably shouldn’t tell Yoko that she and him actually have a good bit in common nowadays.
- Shinigami – Zeich gave them a bad rep. Amaya makes up for it a bit, but she was a medic, and a girl. Yoko assumes that most Shinigami are more like Zeich than Amaya, and thus she kinda wants to stab them.
- Zack Jensen – He cut her arm off. Does she really need any more of a reason than that? That being said, she doesn’t actually know his name, it’s just here because OOC knowledge.
- Makeup – Quite simply, it’s way too much of an effort. She looks fine enough without it on, so wearing any is out of the question except for very special occasions.
- Fashion – Most of it is impractical, and like makeup, seems pointless enough. Yoko’s body has matured to the point where she looks attractive enough in her standard uniform that she doesn’t need to keep up with the latest trends.
- Her body – Now that she’s grown up and pretty much done with puberty, she actually became attractive and feminine looking. Men look at her like a piece of meat, rather than a competitor. On top of that, she has to deal with that time of month, and her breasts get in the way of things sometimes.
- Cardio – This is boring, takes forever, and doesn’t really accomplish much. Yoko can just get any benefit she could get from cardio from fighting people instead. It burns way more calories to do something that intensive anyway.
Likes:
- Martial Arts - Yoko has been training as a fighter since she was pretty young. Granted, this just means she has the fundamentals down really well as it's hard to become a true expert as a child, but it's something she enjoys nonetheless. Most of her training is in a generic mixed martial arts background, but she's started to study more advanced forms since moving to Japan.
- Fighting – Yoko is a very capable fighter, and putting her skills to good use is rewarding in many ways. Whether it’s a barroom brawl or a shootout in a god forsaken desert, this girl is right at home.
- Metal Music - Most everyone likes some kind of music. That much is part of being human. Yoko tends to go for the metal stuff, mostly because it’s what a lot of the guys in her squad listened to. It grew on her over time. Pop and dance music isn't terrible, but she doesn’t listen to it much anymore. Country, Rap, and Jazz just tends to attract too many hicks, thugs, and old men respectively. That leaves Yoko with mostly metal.
- Alcohol and Drugs - While Yoko doesn't drink that heavily, it doesn't take much to get her under the influence due to her small stature. She only gets drunk/high if she's going out to a party, but since she doesn't get that opportunity too often anymore, these are more of things she enjoys than things she does frequently.
- Mecha - This is both one of Yoko's biggest likes. She's a bit of a closeted otaku when it comes to animated giant robots. She knows most of the trivia there is about anything Gundam, and she can probably name more obscure mecha series than most people can name sports teams.
- Guns – Years of counterstrike and handling firearms are best done when one actually enjoys using them. Things that go POP and BANG are a good way to relieve stress or just pass the time.
- Kazura Uzaki – Sure, he can be a bit of a jerk at times, but he’s a freakin genius, and her boss. That’s enough to outweigh all the bad things about him. Also, Yoko may not be much of one for romance, but Kazura is still hot enough to be worth hooking up with if the opportunity presents itself.
- Amaya Azarola – Not quite what you’d call a friend, but definitely someone she can call an ally. Amaya was probably the first person to show Yoko genuine compassion, and it left a damn good impression.
- Lifting – This is a pure form of achievement that can easily be measured, and everyone will respect it. Okay, not everyone, but most of the people Yoko hangs around will be damn impressed that a woman can rep out a set of bench press with a plate on each side of the bar.
- Anime Conventions – There aren’t many places Yoko would rather be than a good con. Sure, the guys are a bit pathetic, but that’s to be expected. These are her people, and she gets to hang out with them all in an environment where (assuming she’s in costume, which she will be) she’s worshiped like a queen.
Flaws:
- Delinquent - We already know that Yoko isn't a fan of academia, nor is she a fan of most of what's taught therein. This means that she tends to skip out on school pretty often. As mentioned before, she's also not above doing drugs or drinking, though she does stay away from anything that could ruin her, such as heroin.
- Idealist - Yoko has a pretty clear vision of how the world should run. If you get in the way of that vision, you're in for a bad time.
- Smart-ass - "Why yes teacher, I did do that homework assignment, it's just that the dog ate it!" Yoko has no problem using obviously sarcastic excuses like this. It can make her come off as a jerk pretty easily, but she's only a smart-ass with you until you get to know her well.
- Aromantic – Getting in Yoko’s pants isn’t the hardest thing in the world. There are ways to do that. On the other hand, trying to get her to commit to a romantic relationship is like getting a cat to agree to take a bath.
Habits:
- British Slang - Having spent the majority of her natural life in London, this much is just to be expected. After spending most of the last year in Japan, some of the slang has faded, but it still pops in once in a while.
- Smoking - Everyone has their vice, and believe it or not, illegal drugs aren't Yoko's main one. Cigarettes are the perfect excuse to take a break from whatever’s eating away at her, and they’re a decent way to blend in with locals as well. Just go find the nearest crowd of smokers, light up, and you’re instantly one of them. She usually has an e-cigarette on her just so she can smoke indoors if she feels that desire.
- Acting overly formal - Formality goes a long way in Japanese society, but Yoko takes it to the next level. After serving in the military for a few years, everyone is referred to by a title or rank. Only her closest friends get around that one.
- Cosplay – If you catch Yoko off the clock, she might be wearing an outfit you recognize from TV or a game. She has enough different ones that you’ll probably never see her in the same one twice, but she wears these outfits as if they were regular clothes.
- “The Mission” – This one is a quirk that she picked up from watching way too many Gundam shows. She’ll often refer to tasks, no matter how trivial, as a mission, and she’ll make notes about how it’s going. For example, she might define a fight as a mission to beat the enemy. If given a task, she may respond with “mission acknowledged.”
Fears:
- People getting to know the real Yoko - Beneath the tough exterior Yoko puts on, there's a lot more. In truth, she's a bit of an otaku, unsure about her sexuality and gender, and she actually cares about those close to her way too much. These problems are often at the forefront of her mind, and she's terribly afraid of people getting to know that she's so troubled. Yoko always does her best to come off as just one of the guys, and that means she isn't allowed to show any vulnerability at all. If she did, she'd quickly get thrown into the category of "just a girl that thinks she can play with the big boys" and that idea terrifies her. If one wants to get to know the real Yoko, it'll take a lot of time and effort.
Goals:
- Make friends she can open up to - You think you can discuss issues like being transgender with strict Catholic parents? Yoko would probably be willing to kill to have someone she could vent about this stuff to.
- Protect Kazura – Her current employment is as the bodyguard of Kazura Uzaki. Defending him is the number one priority in her world, and failure isn’t acceptable there.
- Learn more about the spiritual world – Yoko is aware of the existence of the other worlds and races, but she still doesn’t know much about them. She wants to learn more to answer her questions about religion, and also just because it’s a topic that few humans know about.
Alignment: True Neutral
