Thread Title: Anger Doesn't Care About Your Hair Color Participants: Kira vs Rafael World: Soul Society Death Setting: Permanent Injuries Enabled Rating: R Location: A dirt road connection one of the Rukongai Districts to a nearby lake. The dirt road is approximately 10 feet in width and on both sides is surrounded by woods. The trees of the woods are pine trees with the majority being fully grown and thus providing a fair amount of cover. There are many bushes throughout the woods.
A large, yet simple dirt road is where Kira found herself today, just like many others. The soul society was a dull and boring place, and with her recent change into the sixth division, she could no longer play her music in the barracks, regardless of her ranking. So, on her days off, she found herself coming down this path yet again. Through this district, on the other side of it, was a large lake. She had found it around a month ago, and that's where she loved playing her guitar, something that was currently in its case on her back.
Kira herself, was a very large woman. Standing nearly six and a half feet tall, she towered over most people, be it man or woman. She had long red hair, reaching the center of her back, with little of it covering her face. She had a thoughtful look to her, as she hummed an erratic tune. Se wasn't wearing the standard Shinigami robes. Instead, she wore a black sleeveless, strapless dress, that started around her cleavage, and ended at her ankles. Her zanpakuto was nowhere to be seen on her person, though it was undoubtedly there.
Moving throughout the wilderness was something that Rafael had come to actually enjoy over the last few weeks since awakening in this new world with his second chance at a life worth living. He was in control of his own life this time around and although he had already come close to death facing off against what he could tell was a fellow Beast he wasn't going to let that keep him from living a life of adventure. At the moment the tall panther was running throughout the trees of a forest that he had come across roughly three hours ago.
The forest was actually very beautiful and Rafael enjoyed it more so than he had originally believed that he would have. As a human he never really got to experience hiking throughout a forest yet now it was soemthing he could do whenever he wished to actually do it. The smell of the pine needles and the grass was something that over the last few weeks Rafael had grown to love and accept as a part of his new life. As he rushed throughout the folliage on the ground of the forest though Rafael spotted what looked like a small clearing up ahead of him.
As Rafael continued to move forwards approaching the clearly he got a similar sensation to when he had encountered the massive insect Beast that had nearly killed him. Trying to stop himself from moving in fear of actually coming across another beast that might possess the same monsterous strength or simple drive to kill as the insect Rafael looked around his surroundings yet saw nothing out of the ordinary. So continuing forwards Rafael stepped out of the forest and onto the dirt pathway.
It was weird this pathway that just seemed to move right through nature itself. Rafael looked around him up and down the path only to see what appeared to be a human approaching him. She possessed very long red hair and wore black clothing with something on her back. Rafael hadn't come across a human since waking up in this new world so for a moment he was confused as to why one was here and then an image popped into his head. It was the image of his father and the woman that had killed him.
Rafael a gentle giant beast realized that although he wouldn't wish harm on anyone who didn't deserve it held a great hate towards humans. It didn't matter if he was different now or not during his life as a human there had only been one other that ever gave him a chance or cared enough about him to give him the time of day. Humans were horrific monsters and Rafael wanted nothing to do with them. He was curious though why this woman was in the wilderness and felt some sort of instinctual drive to protect the forest from her.
Not even realizing it himself as the woman reached about twenty feet from him Rafael was growing loudly towards the woman with his sharp fangs in plain view as his lips were pulled backwards. This was a warning whether or not Rafael intentionally was issuing it or not and if he couldn't even control that was there hope he'd control himself from backing up his threat.
As Kira continued forward, her humming became more and more erratic. It was as if the tune in her head was trying to escape her, so it could take on a life of its own. And Kira was more than happy to give it that life, just as soon as she reached some place with good acoustics. 'I wonder if it'd be worth it to just start playin here.' She debated the pros and cons of playing on the wooded path. So caught up in it, in fact, she was mildly startled when she heard growling from up ahead of her.
Standing further along the path, was... something weird. It looked like, to her, that she had managed to piss off a panther without doing anything. That or it was starving and needed to kill her for food. Either way, it made a huge mistake in looking to her for something to eat. She noticed some cloth around it's lower body, but didn't think anything of it. Still, this was like, her one day off, and she was burning daylight. Maybe she could scare it off if she did something over the top? Then an idea hit her.
Smirking at the animal, Kira lifted half of her foot, so that only the ball of it was still on the ground. Then she thumped it down, before lifting it back up and repeating the process. Tanks to her strength, the earth around them would start to tremble. She would be unaffected, seeing as she was creating it, but the same couldn't be said for the, what was it a panther, cat-thing, whatever, would start to tremble. She was hoping that it would be too stupid to realize it was her, and would run off to seek shelter from the apparent earthquake.
Rafael stood on the ground dirt path that ran throughout the forest starring at the red head human that was now looking at him as well while he growled towards her instinctually without even really realizing it himself. It didn't seem as if this red head woman was afraid at all despite Rafael's size in comparison to her. Then something that Rafael couldn't understand and a moment ago would never have expected from any individual. He saw the movement of the red heads foot and in the following moments it felt as if the ground itself was shaking.
Rafael knew that this female was the one causing the ground to shake, but from what he could tell all she was doing was tapping her foot on the ground so how was she actually causing it to shake the way that it was right now. Rafael had fought against a creature with immense strength yet this right now was something that he couldn't understand. He figured that the best thing he coudl do was rush the girl by utilizing the technique that he had learned from the boar to close the distance faster than he'd be able to normally.
However, as he tried to get in the right position with his feet to actually execute that technique he realized that because of how the ground was shaking he wasn't able to do it correctly. He already wasn't very good at executing that technique and now as his balanace was being thrown off and challenging every moment he didn't dare risk the chance that he could mess up and end up running into one of the trees. So he was left with little to do other than try and get to the red head or run away.
Rafael didn't know what was coming over him it just felt so nature as he continued to growl towards the woman and now as he foudn the shaking of the ground frustrating and knowing that this woman was causing it in the next moment he roared with all his might his roar loud enough that it could be heard a good half a mile in every direction. He would start to walk towards the woman doing his best to stay on his feet as he nearly fell over multiple times. He was prepared though looking over the red head trying to notice anything different as he moved towards her.
This was starting to get tiresome, Kira thought to herself, tapping her foot against the dirt impatiently. The shinigami had figured that if she had startled the beast, it would run off. Actually, now that she thought about it, maybe an earthquake wasn't the best method to get something to run away. She shrugged to herself, keeping that as advice for the next time she wanted to defuse a confrontation non-violently. She watched as the beast stumbled about, trying to keep its footing, showing its defiance to the shaking earth.
She smiled at it. The scene reminded her of a kitten trying to walk for the first time. Only with a few hundred pound cat-shaped creature in place of an actual cat. This thing had to have some sort of hate-boner for her, because it was still walking towards her, no matter how slow and tedious that process was for the beast. The thing roared loudly, giving all its rage, frustration, or some other third thing an outlet. To any normal person, this creature might have been considered scary. Then again, normal people also couldn't lift a truck.
Still, this guy had a pretty good set of lungs on them if they could roar that loudly. She thinks. She wasn't an expert on animals, especially weird hybrid animals, so she wouldn't exactly know. She gave the beast a wicked grin, showing all of her gleaming teeth. Kira took a deep breath, inhaling powerfully, leaning back exaggeratedly. Then, stopping her foot, she slid into a horseback stance, and threw her head forwards, giving the beast a roar of her own, using her insane strength to give it more power than it really needed.
The beast would be hit with a wall of sound and air with all the strength of a tornado, almost certainly knocking it off its feet, if not throwing it backwards a good distance. All of Kira's hair would be forward and in her face for the force of the yell, annoying her. She would start fixing it as she continued down the path, whether the animal was in the way or not. Kira felt that she had given this thing a good enough warning, so if it decided to attack her after all that, that it was on them. She wasn't one to seek out pointless fights unless there was a lot of people watching, but she wasn't against beating something stupid to death.
Rafael was continuing to struggle to stay on his feet as the ground shook violently from the tapping of this human's foot. Rafael had no clue how what was going on at the moment made any kind of sense. He knew that since he had awoken in the new body that he could call his own in this second life things were much different than when he had been a human. He was able to move faster and was much stronger than he had ever been while he had been a human which had been surprising him more and more during his travels.
He had faced off against a creature that was strong enough to knock him more than several meters away in a single blow. Such a thing was impossible for a human to achieve and Rafael through his training as a martial artist had realized that which had made the actual event even more surprising for him. In that same battle though more than half of the bones in his body were fractured or worse and although Rafael had no clue how long he was asleep he realized that the mere fact he wasn't dead or could even move proved that he was soemthing far different than he had been as a human.
So although he never would have believed what was going on right now as possible accepting it as it happened wasn't all that difficult. The actual difficult part was managing to stay on his feet while he moved forward towards this female. He had roared in an attempt to get her to stop or well his instincts had been to try and get her to stop by roaring yet that didn't seem to work as she continued to cause the shaking of the ground. That was when Rafael was able to make out what appeared to be some sort of grin being made by the girl and his rage boiled over at the fact he was being toyed with by a human once again.
Trying with all his might to stay on his feet and continue towards her Rafael didn't take into account the fact that this female was now inhaling air and as he foot stopped causing the ground to shake and Rafael no longer had to devote roughly half of his affort into staying on his feet he realized he had messed up. Looking forward with his rage subsided from the realization of the shaking no longer present Rafael could see the change in the female's stance and then she yelled in his direction.
Rafael had believed that causing the ground to shake by simply tapping ones foot against it was something deemibly impossible yet what came next seemed even more so than the prior. A wave of what appeared to be air traveled between them and Rafael able to only see a slight change in the air in front of him and more taken off guard by the sheer level of noise produced by this female was sent flying backwards from her might. Rafael would more than likely disappear from view as his body was sent backwards through the air from the sheer power of the female's scream.
It wouldn't be for almost two hundred meters that Rafael actually slammed against the ground on the same path yet much further down. The ground beneath him crushed from not only his weight, but the power that the scream had carried along with it. Rafael at the moment wasn't even concious as the power of the scream had knocked him out upon impact. It was in fact the only reason that the massive feline wasn't screaming in agony at what his body had now become after a single attack from this red haired woman.
Once again it seemed that Rafael would have to suffer with a body riddled with injuries as many of his bones were either flat out broken from the impact or fractured. His internal organs were damaged at a near failing state that wouldn't allow him to live long and if he were a normal human would have caused his death from the moment they were inflicted upon him. The woman hadn't wished to face off against Rafael and hadn't taken kindly to the threats issued by his animalistic instincts that he couldn't control and thus this was the result. It didn't seem a battle was going to be fought Rafael more than likely wouldn't awake for some time and by then he'd either be to hurt to fight or she'd be gone.
Kira watched as the beastman fly off from the force of her roar. She watched as it flew and landed very far down the path. The shinigami could almost feel a sweatdrop at her lack of control over her own strength, not realizing how much of it she had. Sighing to herself, she continued on down the dirt path, with her guitar case in hand, hoping that the creature wasn't dead from the 'attack' of hers. She wasn't in a hurry, as the thing had attacked her first, so she wouldn't regret killing it, but at the same time, she'd rather not be the reason it died.
Eventually, after about three minutes, she reached the creature. And Kira had to let out a low whistle at the damage she caused to the thing. It looked like a ragdoll met a meat tenderizer, at it wasn't a pretty site to behold. Kinda pitiful actually. The animal looked like it was going to die if it didn't get any help soon. Kira paused for a moment, holding her chin with her free hand, giving her downed opponent a scrutinizing glare. Eventually she shrugged her shoulders, and picked him up, and slung him over her shoulder, before walking off to a village.
It took her another ten minutes, not that the extra weight was any issue for her, since said weight wasn't struggling to free itself. She looked around the town, trying to find a very specific person. It took her awhile, but se managed to find a doctor. She told the man to fix the beast, but he refused. But Kira was very persuasive, using some money, and a hearty snap of her fingers, he agreed, trembling as he did so. Being a village, and not the forth squad, there wasn't much in the way of medical treatment they could do. They gave the human-like animal stints, and bandaged him up the best they could, as well as gave him some herbal medicine, but that was all they could do. Kira payed the man, and left the male animal, as she found out while helping move the guy around to wrap him up, with him, until she returned from the Lake.

+180 to Kira, and then another 100 for winning. So +280 TP
+270 to Rafael
