Sigillum sortem (Seal of Fate) The weft and weave of fate guides, looming over all like a luminous shadow. A thread is spread thin against the branching light of ones life. Some are cut short while others linger in the dark for a time. Like a shear to thread, there isn’t anything that fate can not cut. Aevus’s Zanpakuto and abilities become empowered depending on how many marks Aevus has placed on an individual target. Allowing Aevus to seal the fates of those marked with perhaps a single swing of his blade.
Sigillum sortem is a technique that simply empowers all of Aevus’s Zanpakuto and existing techniques. Once active the markings of fate covering his body will glow. Increasing his offensive stat to any one target, scaling purely off how many marks he’s placed on them. Starting at 1.2x and increasing by 0.2x for every mark placed afterwards. This stops at 3.0x with ten marks. Entities spiritually connected to the target are also included with how many marks placed. Meaning if Aevus marks a target and then an entity, it’ll count as if he has marked the summoner twice. So his offensive stat will be treated the same against the summoning and the summoner regardless of which he marks. This is because the two are spiritually connected and fate does not differ between the two. Thus it works during clashes of any technique that the target uses as well.
Cost: 800
Disadvantage/Weakness: The first weakness is the fact that Aevus must first mark his target. Thus one could simply destroy the mark or heal to nullify it altogether. Secondly this technique counts as a long term stat boost and remains active for the remaining length of Bankai. The third weakness is that this ability only empowers Aevus’s abilities towards a marked target unless something is linked to them in some way. Such as summoned entities in release or other similar techniques.
