Yo, folks. We've been lax on updating this again, so I'm going to try and get this to be a regular thing once more. We're going to open up another poll on who people want to have as the CoTM and MoTM, and put them back up by popular demand. After all, it shouldn't just be who the staff thinks has earned the place, but what you all think as well. So we're opening up nominations for CoTM and MoTM!
Here's how it works: You may nominate one person for each category, as long as that person isn't yourself or one of your characters! Nominating that person won't get them in the poll, however; they need a second vote from someone as well! A nomination and a supporting vote will put that person/character in the running for CoTM or MoTM. This nomination period will last for one week, and then voting will open on Sunday, September 18th. Winners will be kept all the way through the end of October, since we're so late in starting this up, but in the future we'll be holding the nomination/voting period at the end of each month to ensure we always have a fresh round of recognition for our members!
So, start up your nominations here, and let us know who you think deserves to be noticed for Character of the Month and Member of the Month!

CoTM Nomination: Ryunosuke Hamada
Up until recently, the Segunda Espada positioned had been occupied by Kuroi Nato, so when Ryunsouke replaced him as the new Segunda, he had huge shoes to fill, and I feel like he's done an amazing job. Between his fight with Kimiko to his defeat against Kuroi, we've got to see Ryunosuke at his best and worst, and he's one of the coolest, most badass characters. I love his "heroic" side where he employs fun catch phrases as he blows his targets up, but there's that cunning aspect to his personality that we got an interesting glimpse into during his thread with Sozen.
All in all, Ryunsouke's a really cool character who's been active in a lot of different ways lately, and I think he deserves recognition as CoTM.
MoTM Nomination: I second Kyo, John!
John's been an active member for about the same time as I have, and he's always had a friendly presence. I've had the pleasure of working with him regarding the Kasumi'Oji family, and I've seen him helping out other members with questions about the Vandenreich. In general, he's always willing to give others a hand. Plus, MoTM usually goes to a mod who does good mod work, so this time, I think it'd be cool for it to go out to a good member who makes the site as a whole more enjoyable.

Thanks ZK, Kyo, for the nominations. I really appreciate it.
Character of the Month
I second Kyo's nomination of Amalia Vollbrecht. Rarely do we see someone grasp the mechanics and subtleties of the site so quickly and have them create such a powerful character in their first application. She may only be getting started, but I feel she'll be a powerful force both within the Vandenreich - and a force to be reckoned with outside it as well.
Member of the Month
This was tough, because I missed a few of these (I think), and I'm pretty sure most of the people I originally thought of got the award before. XD So, and I'm hopefully not reiterating things, I'd like to nominate MrDoctorDo. Doc has been around a while, and has always been a positive influence in chat whenever he's on. His characters are multi-faceted, complex and are as detailed as his posts. No matter who he's threading with, he always gives more than 100%. His return to the site is fantastic, and I look forward to seeing where he takes his characters in the future.

Arighty, time for me to jump to this!
For CotM: Well, let us all give applause up for... RYUNOSUKE HAMADA! A crime overlord who also is at the same time Epsada, and a successor to Kuroi as Segunda no less, Ryunosuke simply is one of the best characters on here, and the fact that our new Espada is breaking usual Espada mannerism of "master-race-battle-elite", and taking a new, relaxed approach is something to be especially praised.
For MotM: Well, this has to go to my Irish mate, John. He is ever-present on chat and forum, and is a polite, knowledgeable player that you can rely on should you need help. Also, his characters are quite deep, whether it's Hadrian attempting to change Vandenreich or July just trying to have fun, they just show off his good writing skills. And to top it off, he is still developing himself further and progressing, both as a player, writer, and buddy! So all kudos to Johny-boy!

I'm late doing this because life, but we have a clear MoTM set aside, so that's no contest. Irony is that he's a mod now, putting MoTM back to "Moderator of the Month" again. xD
That being said! CoTM hasn't been decided yet, so a poll is going up for it now. It will last until Sunday, and then we will update it.
This, however, will be the last publicly-chosen CoTM/MoTM though. The lack of responses suggests that people just aren't interested, so we'll probably go back to making it staff-chosen at this point.
