The rukongai. Perhaps one of the more.... Unsavory places she had yet found. Human souls everywhere, but nothing of much use to her. The hollows of the area had been of little interest as well. Not an hour in and already she had several....sizing her up. Those beady eyes eyeing her form, even bound in bandages still making her gender obvious.
"Well well, what have we here? It's not often we have someone so... Slim joining our ranks. But I have to inform you, you'll have to... Audition." that sickening voice hissed, every word srippong with crude, lecherous intent. As it spoke, the hollow moved in close, letting one slender-clawed hand reach out for that bandaged hair.
Disgusting.
The very next moment, those bandages were on thw hollow like lightning, immediately wrapping around the monster's mouth as Kyuria strolled padt the hollow, ignoring them as they writhed on the floor, he strips of bandage detatchinf to remain locked around its hest and mouth, the only noise aside from his thrashing and muffled screams was the noise of those rows of little mouths emerging feom those bandages, crunching sickeningly into dlesh as it befan tearing into the hollow.
There was a struggle, naturally. Some sort of acid oozing from the hollow's pores to try and melt the bandages, but even ad it did, the bandages had already begun chewing past the barrier of its mask and chewing through it's skull. There was no struggle as it slowly began to go still, his body limp as her attention shifted to the other hollows around her. A sudden unhappy look in those eyes as she began amassing more of her bandages.

Outer Rukongai, once forbidden by her adoptive family, was now available to her. Surprisingly, the divisions of of the Gotei 13 allowed a great many things Miranda had thought, well, prohibited. Perhaps it was due to the control Captains were granted regarding their squads. In any case, it wasn't as she expected. In her mind's eye she saw a great, well oiled machine with each of its gears cooperating with each other perfectly. What her body's eyes saw was a jumbled mess of lunatics and fools jumping through hoops.
She sighed as her thin hands tightened over the dust covered scabbard of her zanpakuto. She had resolved to change the way things would work here in the soul society, even if it took her a hundred thousand years to do so. Until then she'd do her best on her own. She'd train her weak body and mind. To make up for the lack of a proper hobby, she'd take on extra shifts. Of course she'd allow a day to rest, drink, and recover. After all, the rewarding burn of the peculiar Sake-Vodka mix she enjoyed was worth the work.
She chuckled to herself as her mind began to wander between various trains of thought, both serious and trivial as her journey took her away from the crowded buildings and shacks to a world of green. Never before had she witnessed such a sight! The deeper within the woods she traveled, the bigger the trees were and the more varying the wildlife. It was beautiful, completely contrasting to the somewhat plain buildings she was used to dwelling among the Sereitei. Here the birds chirped, dancing from tree to tree as she strolled beneath them.
And then it all became silent as death itself. The birds no longer flew and it seemed as if the air grew colder compared to the lukewarm breeze she enjoyed before. The device beeped casually in her pocket to let her know that she was indeed within the sector she'd been sent to patrol. Sensors in this area, as well as others, laid by the 12th division had been damaged. With most others occupied, 9th division was asked to spare a few of its men and women, if they had enough volunteers. High seated members, and perhaps some of the more seasoned unseat, probably thought this kind of work was beneath them, because nearly all of the volunteers were fresh, green graduates eager to prove themselves.
She wouldn't lie, she was fairly excited to see what she could dig up. Who knows, perhaps she would find some swashbuckin' rogue to bring in. She wouldn't do it for the fame of course, but the adventure! (though a little reward on the side never really hurt anyone right?). She giggled and mused at the thought. The grin on her face nearly seemed one of pain though. Her sickly-like pale skin didn't buy her great first impressions, nor did her frail frame.
The newly Unseated yawned and stopped for a rest but her sudden laxness would prove unwise as her sandal caught itself underneath a rock. When she tried to take a step towards the tree before her, she tripped and lost her balance completely. She held her arm out to catch herself, but her palm couldn't grasp the rich, moist grass. In the end she took the fall directly on her shoulder.
"Owwwiiie~", she whined, gripping her throbbing left arm. After a few flexes she knew that nothing was broken. She forced herself to regain her composure and get herself back on her feet. The weary silence had been broken by her foolishness and then by the annoying shrieking of her hollow detector. One, no, two, three hollows closed in on her position. Miranda gritted her teeth, slowly pulling her rusty zanpakuto from its sheath and tossing the scabbard away lest she might trip upon it. This would be the first of many battles, a trial by fire. She gripped the white leather hilt of her blade inside her palms, the dry leather creaking as she tightened her grip. They should be here any moment, but... then the shrieking stopped. She blinked once, then twice. The hollows that were somewhere nearby before were no longer, at least according to the tech. Miranda lowered her guard and reached into her kimono, pulling out the small black device. Its screen was cracked and dead, result of her clumsiness.
"Great..."

"You should not be here."
Jyuria had taken care to ensure that the hollows ran away. But something was.....wrong. Something was making them continue to attack her. Strange as it was, the hollows seemed determined to remove her. Why was this? Especially given she too was a hollow. So as she evaded their various attacks, she scanned the area, and almost immediately she spotted them, hiding in the surroundings. Beings that she did not expect to be milling around soul society for one thing.
Arrancar. Eyes narrowed as she grabbed the nearest attacking hollow. Her bandages bursting through it's chest as she tore them through it's torso, the bandages immediately beginning to reach throughout the hollow's innards, those tiny mouths opening up along the bandages and starting to eat the hollow from the inside, Jyuria's attention shifting until she spotted another presence. A Shinigami? Immediately her mind made the connection. It seemed they were hunting the shinigami. And since the arrancar did not have control of her, perhaps they were trying to get rid of her before attacking them. How disgusting.
Immediately her eyesnarowed as she watched the hollows beginning to move around the shinigami. If she wanted to draw out the arrancar....she'd have to save the stupid shinigami. Immediate disdain filled her as she rolled her eyes slowly, a sigh spilling from the mouths all over her bandages before she tore her weapons out of the dead hollow and began making her way toward the shinigami. As if sensing what she was trying to do, more hollows began to close in. Three more to be exact. As it were, she was quite a bit stronger than them.
The moment that they closed in, she lashed out, using those bandages to tear into them, severing limbs from their torsos as she grabbed another one of them and shoved them to the ground, crushing their arm and then digging her bandages into it's body as it began to scream out loud, the crunching noise of little mouths eating away at it filling the air as Juria's mouthless mask simply stared on, all three eyes scanning her surroundings, watching as the other two hollows backed off.
It was then that she managed to reach the shinigami, taking a moment to observe them, not quite stepping in for the time being, just.....watching them, that third eye locked onto them as she also watched the other two hollows that were trying to decide wether or not to attack her or the shinigami. Already Jyuria felt like killing and eating the shinigami. It would certainly just make things easier, and as one of the hollows moved in, she knew just how satisfying it would be. But.....she had a purpose. She had not died....she had not taken over this body just to go on a feeding rampage.
The Emperor......he......would not have wanted that. He had always been a man of purpose. When he killed shinigami, it was for a reason. It was hollows that deserved the unbridled destruction. Destruction or enslavement. The next hollow that moved in was immediately grabed, shoved to the ground as Jyuria began shoving bandages down it's throat. For a moment.....as it died, the other hollows seemed not to be bothered by it. However, it was then that something began changing. Those bandages began wrapping around it, piercing through it's body, and even after Jyuria had destroyed it's innards, soemthing was put back.
The Hollow got back up, and stood beside her. Jyuria had ressurected the murdered hollow. And rather than eat it like the other two, she had made it hers. Already it's core pulsed with her reiatsu.

It all happened quickly. The battle cry of a hungry hollow silenced before it could reach Miranda. She'd seen all types of hollows during her training but those were newer, weaker hollows. These seemed more mature in a sense, more deadly. She swollowed her fear into her lungs and cast it away in a exhale. She felt the powers around her, pulsing, leeching presences. One approached, but its intent was far from hostile. Her silver eyes opened to view this being. A Hollow with a few barely noticeable feminine qualities such as its shape. It was something straight out of a pharaohs tomb, completely wrapped in these.. bandages. It didn't acknowledge Miranda's existence in the slightest and instead moved on to the downed hollow "she" stopped from attacking Miranda. The hollow was wrapped in the other's bandages and torn into. It was probably feeding but something seemed off. If a hollow wanted to eat, wouldn't an undamaged soul be more appetizing? It didn't make sense to Miranda, but now really wasn't the time for this.
Miranda witnessed as the dead hollow rose again by the "Mummy"'s side. By now it was clear as crystal that it wasn't after the shinigami, which was fine. Right now before them stood maybe four hollows from what she could see, but she knew there were more waiting in the shadows. This particular spot in the woods was illuminated by the high noon sun. As her senses weren't very tuned, she needed to stay where she could see the opposition. "Come... and be pure", she challenged the pack of hollows, goading them into attacking. If Miranda went alone, there was no way she'd be able to take them all on at once. If they chose to attack in place of Miranda, she would be able (at best) to take theme one one one, one after the other. Though she didn't get bad vibes from the friendly hollow, Miranda couldn't rely on a hollow's help alone. She'll deal with "her" after the bigger threat had been put down.
As expected the four charged. All glimmers of nervousness had been erased. Miranda was ready. Three had broken off to engage the trio. Miranda assumed the other had held back as a reserve, but she couldn't quite check to make sure. The hollow before her swept in, dragging razor sharp claws through the forest air down upon her. This one was bigger than the others, but slower. Sadly for Miranda, her speed wasn't quite masterful either, but it was just enough for her to crouch down and dive forward into a roll between the monster's legs. She recovered and spun dragging her rusty zanpakuto through the thigh and calf muscles of the lumbering beast before leaping back. The creature groaned and... blood gushed from the deep wounds Miranda inflicted.
For a moment her focus wavered, the amount of blood she spilled in a series of cut falling heavily to the ground like paint, reminding her why she avoid confrontations such as these. Her stomach seemed to fold upon itself and her body began to shiver. There was so much. How could something like this have this much blood!? Of course she never would get the answer she cried for, as the hollow recovered, swinging its arm in a backwards fist, striking her side. The impact was strong, knocking the wind from her lungs and lifting her from her feet. Miranda flew into the nearest tree with a massive thud. Her arms felt as if they were about to fall from their sockets, but they weren't broken, not yet. She coughed and stood gripping the blade into her hands. Blood still dripped from its rusty edge. The Hollow's blood.
She breathed renewing her focus. The titan of a hollow stumbled forward sending a missile of a fist as its vanguard, but Miranda was no longer where she stood. In a burst of speed she evaded the fist, holding her blade low at her side. At her position she could see directly into the cannon-ball sized hollow hole. Above her was the hollows mask. In a quick motion, Miranda thrusted her sword into the empty heart zone, and pulled her blade upwards, cutting a path directly to the hollow's mask. She withdrew the zanpakuto and leaped back, watching the hollow "Die" and decomposed as the purification took place. As the gates of hell had not opened to take its potential tribute, Miranda could only pity the hollow. "Oh what horrors have you suffered? Rejoice, and live a life anew here in the soul society"

Eloquent.
Such was the soul reaper before her. A grace in speech wasted upon sullied actions. A prayer to herself perhaps. Or maybe a prayer to those fallen. Jyuria's eyes did not know what they saw. And for a moment, she considered obliterating it. Watching as the shinigami took so very little time to see her. To feel her out. And in so short a time they trusted her. Strangely such that Jyuria was not sure how to respond. Those three dark eyes simply looked on, glowing in that subtle naive light. Unknowing what this shinigami was doing. As they charged the hollows ahead.
With a sudden burst of speed, Jyuria's bandages lashed out, far faster than the shinigami as they lunged and snagged the woman. And, using her strength, so sought to drag them back to her as that mummified pawn moved ahead instead. With it's mouth open wide it let out a roar, a sudden burst of reiatsu as it fired a cero upon the other hollows. Surprising them and causing them to scatter, thse that were not consumed by the fires themselves.
Jyuria would look at the shinigami, wether she had caught them or not, and leer down. If she had, she would apply runes to their body. so that she could step to their position if tactics dictated. IF the woman allowed it, the runes would stay, and Jyuria would have a way to getting to her quickly. If not? They would be without that luxury. Even so, Jyuria was....incredulous. "You are quick to trust Shinigami. How do you know that I am not simply saving you for myself?" She asked, eyes turning as she watched her converted servant continue firing upon the hollows, keeping them at bay as she watched.
What was it that had given her this power? The power to so....change her bretheren. To plant that incredible will of hers inside them? She wondered.....could she ressurect this shinigami too? She would have to test that another time. Another place......out and away from......prying eyes. Prying locations. Perhaps.....in Hueco Mundo. Eyes suddenly narrowed as she looked down at the shinigami. Consideration taking effect. She wondered. If she should kidnap them. It would be simple enough. To take them. She seemed weak. She could even train them. Make them strong. Make them fight her brethren. It would be well to have a shinigami pawn.
After all. The Vandereich had most of its trouble against the shinigami. The filthy shinigmi had managed to murder her Emperor. The very memory made her angry, and once again she thought of eating the woman from the inside out. But no......she was determined. She was not going to be some foolish silly hollow. She had aspirations. And for that, this shinigami would live. Wether or not she kidnapped them. She had plans. A shinigami that had doubt, with witness to a hollow that was not mindless. Either way, it was in her favor. She smiled, her bandages little mouths curling into little grins. Who knew. Perhaps the shinigami would try sending a liaison.
What disgusting creatures they could be....
That they would be of more use to her..... She might yet achieve her goal.

The hollows didn't wait until the purification was complete. It was enough to draw in a curious pause but that was it. The remaining three charged her, ignoring the seemingly friendly hollows. Miranda took a step back and readied herself. There was no way. All at once?! There was no way her defense could hold on for long. However maybe there was a chance should could take two. Yeah, take two out. She grinned nervously. For a few moments she forgot about the other hollows except for the ones threatening her that moment. She winced and lowered her sword by her side in anticipation, but things didn't go as she had thought.
Bandages wrapped around her waist and wrists, pulling her away from the danger. Now this is twice she had been saved. How is she supposed to pay back a debt to a hollow? One of her main duties were purifying them. To make an exception was to dishonor her uniform and herself. She sighed as the bandages loosened and retreated away from her body, making movement possible again. She held her sword at ready but otherwise lowered her guard. The hollows had retreated from this one's minion for the time being and searched for a proper opening. Miranda was safe for now.
"There's more to it, but... I don't think you were. I don't think someone as weak as myself would taste that well to you.", she answered semi-casually. The words stung as she spoke them, but they were honest. She was weak even to those sharing her rank. The truth of the matter is that many squads were short-handed and needed the extra bodies, even if they weren't ready. Miranda sure as hell wasn't. She was able to take down a Hollow. That itself made her smile. The one before her didn't understand Miranda. Why trust a Hollow if Miranda was a Shinigami? She had her reasons. Such reasons even made her chuckle slightly. There wasn't time to explain. Not now.
"Besides, I owe you two-fold. As my honor demands, we'll discuss conditions and terms after", she said, hardly keeping herself from giggling. The friendly hollow was certainly the most talkative she'd ever met. It only confirmed her belief. Hollows weren't so mindless as she'd been taught, at least not all. Sure the hunger must drive most insane, but whatever is driving this one... it isn't hunger. Miranda was certainly curious to whatever it was. Even more curious was these symbols placed on her uniforms. Some of them she recognized as quincy in origin, but Miranda only touched up what was necessary in that class. Why would a hollow be using something of quincy origin? Two and two didn't really connect immediately. It had to be coincidence. In the off-chance it wasn't, she saved the question for later.
The runes probably were wards of some sort, a protective measure. The had a soft glow to them that was kinda mesmerizing. If put in the right places it would look great on her uniform. She smiled and let out another laugh. Things had been quite eventful since her graduation. A bar fight and now this in the same week. Its funny how things turn out, denying true expectation. Perhaps being weak did serve a purpose. These hollows were running off of their basic instincts. If she could step out of the other's protection, they would close on her, but leave themselves open. It almost happened that way earlier, but Miranda was sure that her new ally was faster. It was a good plan, though too bad she forgot to share it.
"In case this doesn't work, my name is Miranda Frost~". She smiled nervously and took off running to her left and away from the hollow sending blast after blast at the hostiles. She looked over her shoulder and surely enough Miranda was right. The hollows had broken their attempts to push through and took off after the shinigami. Once she was far enough, but not too far from her ally she turned and readied her blade. Their backs were to her allies. Not really smart in battle to put all of one's eggs in one basket.

She did not know how to respond to Miranda. How strange for a shinigami to be so....trusting. It was sad.....knowing that one day, this shinigami was going to die. There were many hollows like her, that would use a shinigami for their own purposes, that would make them do dirty work for them, and once the shinigami's back was turned, would immediately eat them. And to be fair, Jyuria was thinking of just such a thing.
She could imagine how sweet Miranda's flesh would feel in those little mouths, the satisfaction she'd get from eating them. It was.....an annoyance. That burning determination in her mind overrode that simple hunger. Nothing was as hot as the burning loyalty she had for the Emperor. Nothing could ever call to her soul like he had. Even in death she belonged to him, even in this tainted form.
It occured to her that she was a disgrace. An abomination. But what did that matter. She didn't care. She had been a fullbringer. A tainted filthy human, and even so the Emperor had seen it in his heart to offer her a chance to serve. So now, she was not going to sully such an opportunity. She would not let this opportunity to continue his work slip by. When those hollows veered off after the shinigami, her eyes narrowed, watching as they followed her delicious soul. Slaves to their hunger.
She was too. But at least she could focus it. The moment their backs were turned, her bandages lanced out, suddenly ripping into the hollows and downing two of them, curring them down from behind as she left little scraps of bandage inside of them, watching them write as the mouths began eating them from the inside out, the very next moment she was behind Miranda, that Gate technique of hers activating, those runes glowing as she was suddenly moving to them, all but teleporting behind her as she then moved infront of her, the rest of those bandages racing out.
It was the work of a moment to cut them down, her bandages slicing through limbs and fang, breaking them down and causing them to fall down to the floor, though crashing would have been a more suitable likeness to what they were doing. With those hollows suddenly down, Jyuria's bandages suddenly lanced out, grabbing Miranda and beginning to wrap around her body, coating her in them as they slipped beneath her uniform to cover her skin in a protective layer, Jyuria giving her something of a dissaproving look before detatching the bandages, leaving them on her body as armor as she then turned her attention to the other remaining hollows.
"You are stupid for a shinigami." She spoke into Miranda's ear. Every inch of those bandages could pen up into a mouth at any time, and the ones over Miranda's ears opened up to speak, all but whispering into her skull as they refrained from using their teeth. "Your next move should be to try and find shelter. Once I have murdered these hollows, I will decide what to do with you. " She hissed, turning her back on the shinigami, the next time the voice was right in tMiranda's head, using the bandages for a more....direct, 2-way communication. Assuming you live so long.

Miranda's plan was a brilliant success. These poor mindless souls bounded after her as if chasing a runaway piece of meat. Miranda herself wasn't much of a threat to them, but her hollow ally more than made up for that. Not only was her range astounding, the female hollow could fight multiple enemies at once with those tendril like-bandages of hers. As planned she sent out those bandages. They penetrated and tore their way into the three hollows, allowing Miranda to relax her sword arm. However that wasn't the end of it. The hollows still tried to reach for her... but something was holding them back. That is when Miranda saw it.
From the grey flesh of one hollow one of her ally's bandages writhed and tore itself out in a manner a worm might. It dug itself into the hollow's arm and wiggled itself through. Simultaneously the same thing happened within the other hollows, immobilizingthem under their own pain. Miranda gripped her blade tighter. She should end their suffering and purify them before any more damage comes to them. She just couldn't find the strength to take a step. With each wound opened a fountain of red spilled out. It was a little too much for Miranda, but even that wouldn't be the end of it.
The glyphs upon her uniform flashed and in a blur of speed something moved. It was like a gust of wind blowing her way. The bandages forced their way out and slivered their way in the direction of the gust, spurting pockets of crimson over Miranda. She took a step back but met resistance: Her ally of convenience was there. Then her weight was left unsupported as the female hollow moved around her. She could only stare through the female hollow as the sound of cracking bones and ripping flesh filled the forest. Nothing seemed to be wasted as the hollow took its hunger out on her fellow kind in place of Miranda.
Miranda was stricken by an immobilizing fear that seemed to disconnect her from this world. She knew this pain, this torture. Before saved and sent here via Konso, a hollow like these tormented her with the sounds and sights of it tearing and breaking her friends and family. Day after day it did this until the village was emptied. Even that didn't stop it. Travelers passed through daily, only to fall victim to. It was a sort of helplessness that bleached her soul with numbness. In the end she couldn't feel anything.
Miranda doubted herself and doubted her own purification. The imprints of her past were still there, and the pains were only being brought back by this female hollow feasting on Miranda's distraction. Miranda was lost in her own despair to notice the female Hollow turn and move her bandages toward her. Her flinch was delayed, the cool bandages slipping through her clothing like a second skin. In a way it served to make her feel even more vulnerable. She could barely hear the words spoken into her ear over her own racing heartbeat, but nodded and recovered taking her blade and sheath.
After a good few minutes of running she stopped next to a massive tree, resting her weight against it. Slowly she slid down until she was able to hug her legs into her chest. The bandages held itself snug against her and although the hollow probably cared less for her mental well-being, she slipped her arms around her legs and folded them against her chest. Hell, even the illusion of a comforting embrace was enough to relieve her of some of the pain. Miranda sighed and leaned her head back against the tree behind her, her silver eyes catching the sunlight through the trees.
Stupid. Weak. Insignificant. Broken. She had grown to get used to these descriptions. Not all were meant to be strong, important, and beautiful. Though her dreams revolved around gaining a slice of these things, her struggle made her wonder whether or not that was possible. She was lucky to pass the academy. Had she went through fifty years prior she would had flunked and kicked out. Now she was at the mercy of a hollow on her first real mission and engagement. Miranda was pathetic. At any moment she could be torn into like those hollow beasts before. She could feel the tension in the bandages. It was as if the female hollow'd mouth was watering. Miranda had believed the hollow didn't really want to, and could only imagine how much effort was put into that willpower.
She force smiled and looked down to her blade. "What is your name? You've had many chances to take me now like the others. Eating me wouldn't hurt your ability to fight... What is the real reason? What is your name?", she asked in a low whisper.

eyes narrowed slightly as she watched Miranda suddenly take refuge to the tree. Suddenly she was very aware that this was no bright-minded shinigami officer. She was a pup. A whelp. A new born if by any accounts she should so find herself pressed to give it name. She was not entirely sure how to react, but she supposed some sort of comfort was to be given. What sort of comfort did Shingiami even take? The filthy animals probably just groped eachother.
she shook her head and those bandages tightened around Miranda as she slowly began approaching them, those three eyes narrowing as she suddenly let the mouths around the woman's neck open, teeth suddenly pressed to skin as she looked down at them, a creepy tongue running it's way along the back of their neck, making it all the more real as those sharp bandages from her arms and hair began to surround the both of them, ignoring the other hollows as they were.....presently, unwilling to come any closer.
"Look at you. And you wish to be a shinigami. A liberator. A Purifier. You want to be somebody you're not. Be something you can't. You are not strong enough.... not on your own...." She mused, suddenly inspiration filling her as she slowly knelt down, lifting that chin as she stared into Miranda's two eyes with her own three. "But.....there is something stronger than fear Miranda Frost. Something greater than steel, and stronger even than your soul. Something that can rid you of most of your fears."
She slowly began tightening those bandages around Miranda, gently stroking her cheek with a finger as those bandages smiled against her skin, a wonderful idea entering her mind. "I was horrible once.....I was......nothing. A mewling babe. I was dying. My very body was.....fading into nothing. I was......useless. I didn't even want to live, but I was too afraid of pain to just kill myself. But then something very special happened to me Miranda. Someone happened to me. He gave me a new life. Washed away my weakness.....my illness....and made me new." She whispered.
"He made me new. He made me strong. But not my body. Not my soul. No....he only gave those a leg up. Those were just.....meaningless gains. Bonuses. What he gave me that was most important.....was a purpose. A WILL. It wasn't just about me anymore. It was about him. About what he stood for. He took me from my darkest and showed me the light. And even when I was murdered. Even when a hollow devoured me. The will he gave me was so strong, that even as food, I lived on. I destroyed that hollow's mind from the inside. And that will was so strong it molded me into what I am now."
Gently, she reached down and lifted Miranda off her feet, cradling them as she would a child. "He is gone now....and for that I grieve every day. But....Miranda. I am never going to forget him. And just like he to me.....I am going to give you an opportunity. I can give you power. I can make you my own. And your weakness.....will persist. But with my guidance. I will give you not only the care to survive and strengthen. But the will to do so. Wether you like it or not. I will become your everything. And for me.....you will become strong."
Finally, that hand tightened around the woman's neck. "But this cannot be light. I cannot just force you. If you are not willing....that will will never hold and...." her attention turned to the hollows she'd mummified earlier. Already they were just....falling apart. She turned Miranda's head so she was looking at them. "It will not last. So I need to know Miranda......do you want to change? Or stay like you are?"

Nothing. It was if the hollow was responding more to the strain in Miranda's voice than what was actually spoken. Perhaps this was purposeful, perhaps it wasn't. In either case it was enough for the female hollow to divert her entire attention on her. Miranda could only shiver, the bandages beneath her uniform squirming and tightening. She felt something hot against the back of her neck and something moist slithering against her skin. She could feel the bandages around her neck pen up with sharp points pressing against the pale skin. She was getting a taste of her and yet didn't go for the kill, not yet.
She approached but Miranda stayed put despite her newly growing fear. There was no point. The bandages around her could tear into her even from a great distance and she doubt she'd be able to get them off. No, this hollow exceeded Miranda in both strength and speed. There was not even a slim chance. So she sat there, new bandages moving from the female hollow's body and wrapping around the both of them. Nervously, Miranda stared down, attempting to avoid the gase that the female hollow burned into her. There was no denying her. A sharp claw had reached down and lifted her chin with ease. Wincing, Miranda was forced to stare into the burning gaZe that the hollow inflicted on her. In them she could see the battle against her own hunger, and she was winning.
But to mention that Miranda was never meant to be a shinigami, nearly broke her. Unlike normal people of the rukongai, she held a spark of power to be nurtured and grow. Of course she held no real talent personally, but she didn't like the idea of her training and struggle to be in vain. She'd made friends and learned so much since the beginning of her training. How could it all be so worthless, but then there was the selling point. This hollow would wash away everything that Miranda hated about herself and instill something else in her. She would perhaps gain a driving force similar to this hollow's, a fierce force indeed.
The hollow picked up Miranda and held her in her arms effortlessly. The bandages seemed to tighten around her as well, a snug and comforting embrace. Even as Miranda's face grew slightly hot with blush, she knew better. It was just the calm before the storm just around the corner. And then there was the catch. The hollow shifted her body, showing the results of a half-hearted resolve and dedication. Before her the hollows that had been temporarily serving her began to fall apart, back the the lifeless state they were before. If she chose to change, Miranda had to be all in or it would never last.
Miranda had to choose, the hollow that saved her life or the shinigami. She held oaths among the shinigami, but only really did she owe this hollow. Debts or oaths. One must always reap what they sow, but one also must uphold their own word lest they be worthless. Both virtues she had once vowed to follow to her death. She swallowed and recalled how the hollow had reanimated the hollows. They were killed. They meant their ends. If she chose to walk down this path her life as a shinigami would end as well, but brought back as what? A hollow? Miranda had heard of Shinigami hollowfying before but this was completely different. Her oaths would end at death, but debts superseded death in some cases.
"I.. I don't want to be.. as I am.", she spoke, her throat becoming dry as she moved her sight to the Hollow's mask. She remembered her vow to find her old family, but she had found new family here in the Soul Society instead. It was a child's vow, teetering on the edge of impossibility. "I can't look back any longer.", she followed up. The weight seemed to recede from her mind. Her body relaxed and awaited what lay ahead.

She smiled, watching as the Shinigami went through her options. She saw the hope leave their eyes. And then......and then it lit up again. Suddenly there was something else. She watched as Miranda thought about her life. Where she was going. What she had planned. What she intended to do. And because of this, she knew that they were already hers. She saw it in their eyes, the way they suddenly looked at her. The way their body suddenly relaxed. And finally, those words that set them free.
It was the first time she had had a volunteer. And she would be the first child of hers. The first one she would lead through the dark. The first of many. The quincy would come. In time. They too wouldbe reborn as this one was. In the glory of his Majesty they would become new. They would become.....true. Something far beyond the coils of mortality. Hollows did not age. Hollows did not wither and grow decrepit. They did not see evil before them and quiver, nor did they drivel in fear of a race. The quincy would be their erasure. But it was nothing like the horrible slow death that hollow poisoning could attain.
"It will be easier if I kill you first. It will be different. It will be painful. I could bring you to the brink of death. And perhaps....that is more fitting. But no matter how I do it Miranda. It will be painful. It will hurt more than you could imagine. And that will be the price. That, and your undying loyalty. I will be your new mother. Your new goddess. Your Empress. I will be your everything. And thus. You will never need anything else." She explained, before she nodded.
"Out of Kindness. And Sadness. I Awaken you."
There was a crunch as those bandages suddenly tightened at maximum strength. She did not hold back save for the simple fact that she did not want to crush them into goop. She obliterated her arms and legs. And in the next moment, her chest caved in, her throat crushed, and those teeth held her head tight. That she did not destroy. Those bandages wormed their way into her chest cavity, grabbed the heart. And more importantly. Her 'heart'. The center or her reiatsu. What made her her. And for a moment she bit into it. She brought it into her mouths.
But she did not swallow. For Miranda, it would be as if all the warmth was gone. And when she swallowed it, swallowed those shinigami powers. And then she poured in something else. Just like she would convert a quincy. How she had been made a quincy. So very very long ago. Her old powers were destroyed. Swallowed. Devoured. And in their stead. She poured in something else. An emptiness. A nothing. A sort of sensation of sudden instinct. In that moment Miranda's fate was sealed. To Servitude. To Hollowdom.
In that moment Miranda's heart would burst from her mouth and re-solidify over her face. She would feel every insecurity in her soul gush out and fill her entire body. Jyuria would not be able to simply obliterate them. But she did the next best thing. The will she planted inside them would strike them like an anvil. Loyalty to Jyuria. Loyalty to her Empress. She would not forget what she was. Her Memories would be....selectively amplified. She would especially remember how horrible her life had been. The hunger of a hollow would feel like nothing. Every insecurity. Every fear. IT was all worse in her mind.
But now?
Now....... To Serve Jyuria. Suddenly she would not feel that uncertainty. She would not feel that fear. That weakness. That unbelonging. She was Jyuria's now. Jyuria.... Her new everything. There was no question of it. If Jyuria willed it, there was no fighting it. That loyalty beyond hollow hunger. Beyond all. It was the same deep, soul devotion that drove the sternritter. That had driven her. There would no longer be a question of how strong Miranda would become. There would no longer be an uncertainty about if she could do it. If she could survive. Death would not be an obstacle. Miranda would know that she would do, could do anything in her power, and beyond. At Jyuria's command.... She would. She should. She will.

Miranda had thought as much. Change was always painful, though nothing compared to death to her. She wondered what kind of death awaited her this time. Would it be intensive and quick like a strike to any of her vital points? Or would it be slow and agonizing? In either case she would not have to wait long. She could feel the final preparations as certain bandages moved. From head to toe, save for her head, she was surrounded in these wrappings. She couldn't say that she wasn't afraid. Who wasn't afraid of dying? It wasn't that though, but how she was going to go. In her past life, she was tortured and then crushed within a giant's fist. This was similar enough to strike her with a strange, demented nostalgia.
And then they all began to tighten simultaneously. Unlike before, these wraps were much more delicate if one could say that about being crushed to death. Only her head was safe from the squeezing. Her eyes kept themselves glued on the Hollow's mask, a focusing point to help narrow out the coming pain. Her arms were the first to go, followed by her legs. Fractured in countless places from her shoulder to the tips of her fingers, this was ten times more painful than her past death. It was if everything was being forced into her core. She didn't have time to yell or scream from the immense weight pressing around her, as her chest and throat caved in that very next moment. She was suffocating on a river of blood from all all of her organs being ruptured, her insides turning into a meaty mush. Her mouth opened and her eyes widened. She could only gargle the red soup collecting in the remnants of her throat. Her vision narrowed, threatening to fall into unconsciousness. If it weren't for the massive amounts of pain she might have.
Then she felt the bandages pierce her chest, multiple strands worming their way through the wreckage of her chest. Then there was a dull pain as they hooked themselves to her heart. Time seemed to slow, her body cooling to unsafe levels or so it seemed. What little power she held as a reaper was taken, torn from her. She felt something else put in its place, something familiar. Her soul welcomed the hunger, the emptiness that held her entire being captive. She remembered when she had felt this before. It was before her salvation, when she was made pure. Images of a room webbed in her own soul chain came to mind. A day after that one and she could have been a hollow. her eyes narrowed, her eyesight shaking. A blood-soaked grin appeared on her face.
She thought it was over. Her body itself was dead or dying, her organs had all been rupture. Her blood ran loose throughout her body without a working heart to pump it. Her mind had faded.
She thought wrong. Her heart rose, pushing apart her broken throat. It pushed out of her mouth, covering her face. That moment consciousness returned. 'Why am I alive? I have a debt to repay. What about my promises? Death has released me. I am weak... frail.. look at my broken body. This hollow had crushed everything. But.... but... no... I am wrong. This hollow had released me from these weak promises. I alone am responsible for my broken body. I alone am responsible for my own destruction. Now.. there.. there's more.' She could feel her mouth curl into a smile, her eyes drifting from the hollow to the sky, the sun of the the soul society. It seemed nearly too hot, too bright for her. 'Jyuria... that's her name, my... Empress, Goddess. Everything. Giver of my life, purger of fear, hunger, death. She chose me. For her I'll become strong enough to be her shield and sword. Her will is mine. I am hers.'
Her glowing silver eyes fell from the sun to the dark radiance of her Goddess, her giver of life. Her body was still crushed but for all intents and purposes, hollow. She could feel the emptiness within her, filled only with her dedication to the savior, her savior. Her plain white mask began to crack around her mouth line. Sharp jagged cracks separate her bottom piece from the top. She tried to breath, but only pain came. "For you, Empress Jyuria."

For a moment she watched as that smile crept across the woman's new mask. Her own mouths smiling as she turned her attention to one of the still-living hollows. She grinned, suddenly dragging one of them over, her bandages already beginning to devour it as she sought to regain the energy she'd spent on Awakening Miranda. But she had another more direct intent she wanted for the other one. Her eyes shifting to the woman as she brought the hollow to the converted Shinigami.
Kneeling down, she brought the hollow next to them, gently turning their head as her bandages began slowly winding around their body. A protective layer. The ressureccion would have completely revived them by now. Their limbs would reform, their enrite body would be shifting, changing, either to a slightly whiter masked version, or perhaps a more monsterous form like her own. It was all a very random process sometimes. She might even look like a vizard for a while.
But she wasn't worried about that. Instead, she snapped the other hollow's neck, bringing it closer to her newest servant as a smile crept along her bandages. Something like pride welling up inside of her, seeing how different she was from the other mindless mummiess she'd raised so far. They were an unbelievable improvement. And they would doubtlessly be hungry. She could order them to ignore it. But for now, she knew they were weak. She would need to keep her safe. Keep her protected. No doubt shinigami would soon be showing up.
So....gently, she pulled Miranda to her feet as the air before them tore open, revealing the blackness that would bring them to Hueco Mundo, those smiles on her bandages only widening as she let them stand on their own. "Come, my new Tela. It's time for you to get your first meals." She stated calmly, lightly patting the woman and proceeding to lead them into that darkness, where no shini would sanely follow.

Her bodily pain still remained, but the tight bonding of the bandages kept her from moving subconsciously and thus bringing more pain upon herself. She remained still, but her head turned toward the hollow that was dragged towards them both. More bandages were wrapped around Miranda, and she could guess why. Her body was still human-like, crushed, but still human. Perhaps her body was resisting the changes, because she had never heard of a hollowfication take this long. She lacked any energy at all. All of it was spent on keeping her body stable.
Miranda's eyes trailed the hollow as it was brought up to her. She caught her mouth watering, just thinking about the energy even one of these beasts would give her. It would be enough to allow her to stand on her own two feet, enough to keep her new master from wasting this energy on her. It was shameful to her own honor, to be this helpless. On the other hand, perhaps this a gift from her Majesty for taking the first steps in her shadow? If so should couldn't dishonor her and deny it. Miranda was curious as to what it would taste like. Would it be tough? Would it be soft? Salty? Sweet? Bitter? Filling? Her mouth opened, her dry mouth starting to water with the left over blood left there from her crushing death.
Her Goddess even broke the hollows neck to make it easier for her new servant to tear into. Once again she felt the embarrassment of being fed, but at the same time rejoiced. Her head reached over and bit hard into the tough skin of the hollow. Her sharp "Teeth" on her mask cut into the flesh finely. She twisted her head and tore a chunk free of the hollow's neck bone and greedily chewed it, devouring it. Already her damage body began renewing, her bones reshaping and restoring, her muscles reestablishing itself. Above Miranda's head a broken, dimly glowing, half halo of reiatsu appeared, slowly spinning. Her fingers she felt elongate into fine, sharp points. Her mask stayed the same, but her eyes seemed to glow slightly brighter. She could feel a growth painfully burst from her back. Her skin not only had become pale, but pure white to the point her mask nearly looked one with her face under the right light.
She was then released from her temporary cage of bandages, allowed to stand on her own feet. Her height was taller, now at 6 feet, but still seemed dwarfed by her master. Her arms and legs were thin, but toned, and from the left side of her back was a black feathered wing that stretched out to a maximum of four feet when she tested her muscles. Her clawed hands traced over her front, peeling back her kimono slightly, her claws tracing curiously around the new hole located just right above her bust. Her body seemed to change, but remained mostly humanly.
She recovered herself and turned towards the dead hollow. She pounced on the hulking being, tearing into its body with tooth and fangs. By the end she was covered in the monsters blood. Normally she would have been immobilized by such acts of violence, but she felt so good when she took in its energy. Even better was the look of approval her master gave her. It was.. exhilarating to say the least. She licked her lips behind the mask and turned, starting to return to Jyuria's side when she caught sight of her old weapon laying in the dust. She walked over and picked it up. Only now did she realize such an ugly sword it was. Miranda could never remove the rust from its steel and the coating of dust never seemed to permanently leave its hilt and sheath. She raised the blade to her mouth and bit down hard.
The steel cracked and the blade broke, falling to the ground. Without her shinigami powers, the blade was just as hollow as she was, though at least Miranda had something to hold herself together. No... Miranda didn't. Miranda the Shinigami was dead. In her place was Frost, the Goddess's Angel. She turned and stood by her master. Jyuria gave her the name "Tela", a name she recognized as one of her master's. Frost smiled behind the closed mask and looked forward into the darkness. "Miranda died today. Tela Frost rises in her place."
