Hotaru stood and watched as at least some of what she had planned out had actually worked. She wasn't able to do too much damage to the one holding onto Tomoe, but the other one was a completely different matter. The other mannequin took the full brunt force damage from Rivu~aiasan's flames. She saw as the mannequin almost walked into it. The liquids splashed off of her and when she ignited the liquid.......
The scream was loud. It was a lot louder than Hotaru had expected. When she lowered her cannon, she didn't stop the flames from consuming the mannequin. She was the enemy and she needed to be defeated in order to get to Tomoe. The scream rose and before Hotaru had the chance to actually turn to try to face Tomoe's assailant, she heard the Stranger that was with them scream out a woman's name, assuming it to be this one's.
She watched as he quickly made his way to her, using two Sonido steps. After both of them, the flames were out on her and she was able to see how scorched she was. But, the thing that was probably the most interesting thing about it was the fact that there was a heart inside. An actual human heart, that was still beating even though the body was scorched. She could tell that the mannequin was out of the fight, but how did the heart still live.
There were vines connected to it so maybe they had something to do with it? She wouldn't know for sure, but before she could think more about it, the Stranger stood and looked at her. With his hood gone, assuming it's from the fast steps he took, she could actually see his face. His hair first struck her when she saw the flower petals woven through it and the color of the hair itself was tinged pink. It was very interesting.
But, even the man's face caught Hotaru a little off guard. She quickly looked it over and it seemed other worldly. Every feature fit his face perfectly. The man was beautiful and handsome at the same time, which was a little confusing. Hotaru fought the urge to let her jaw go slack because she had never met a man like this before. She loved her husband and would never leave him, but she could always appreciate a good looking man.
It was then that the sneer on his face almost seemed to get worse when he almost screamed at her for hurting that mannequin. She took a breath to steel herself as she watched the flames flicker from his arm as he took his sword, or what he considered a sword, and cut his hand. Why in the hell would he do that? He pointed the hand towards the group and she felt something coming from him. It was a huge swell of reiatsu from the man.
His Gravitational Pressure was getting larger and larger. Hotaru glanced back quickly and saw Tomoe was still there behind her, with the mannequin holding onto her. She didn't get the chance to see what her face looked like, but the open palm meant only one thing to her: a Cero. But, why would he launch one towards one of his beloved mannequins? She didn't get the chance to think too much because after more of the weird language, it fired.
The sheer power behind it was much more than the first, and she doubted that she would be able to avoid it. She made sure that she completely blocked Tomoe, standing right in front of her, pointing her cannon towards the blast in hopes of trying to weaken it. Hotaru knew it would be in vain, but if it could help Tomoe get out of danger, that was the most important part. She was a defender after all.
When Hotaru was ready to fire at the blast, in the hopes that she might survive, she heard someone call out a Kido. She watched as a wall immediately formed in front of her before the Cero actually hit her. She had seen this wall once before, fighting with Arashi Kawada. This shield came in handier than she thought. But, she heard incantation after the Kido, which was odd for her. She had never heard that done before.
Though, she didn't pay too close attention to casting spells, since she had no skill in it at all. But, the voice that cast the Kido she knew rather well. It was the other Captain that was on this mission, Raion. She watched as the attack hit the shield, shaking the very ground that they were standing on. Raion was strong to be able to block an attack of this magnitude. The strange thing was, the Cero didn't stop.
It continued, like a large beam of energy, just continuing to pound on the shield that was in front of her. After a bit, when he realized that the shield wasn't going to break, he ended his stream of energy and the wall continued to stand. The first thing she thought of when she saw that attack was the Kamehameha from a show called 'Dragon Ball Z.' One day, when she was bored, she was flipping through channels on the 'television,' and ran across it. It was so entertaining, she couldn't tear her eyes away.
Now, she DVR'ed every episode of that show when it aired and would catch up on her days off. But, when Raion spoke, she watched the large lion start to slowly walk towards this strange man. He then said the man's name, Lucian De'Mont. It was a name she had heard before, but she personally knew nothing about the man, since he had been missing in action until now. But, the 'loving his victims to death' seemed to go right along with what was happening now.
Lucian began speaking and the one thing Hotaru heard that he had an item given to him by a benefactor. It captured the essence of someone in their heart, which made sense as to why he would keep them. They kept talking and then Hotaru stood more sideways now. Her left side was facing Lucian and the now walking Raion, while her right side was facing Tomoe and the other mannequin. She knew that Tomoe needed to get grabbed.
It was then, when Lucian went in for the attack, Raion told her to get Tomoe out to their meeting place. It seemed like the escort that Raion was given from Alice was badly hurt and needed Tomoe. Hotaru nodded and faced the mannequin. "I wonder, mannequin woman. If he loves you so much, why would he willingly throw a powerful Cero your way. It seems rather out of place to me." Hotaru then moved, using a Shunpo to step right behind her.
Once she appeared, she immediately slashed at the woman's legs. To do this, she used Dekata, a Kuchiki Speed Hana, to quicken her slash to 2100 speed. The slash would hit the woman right under her kneecaps. If the attack connected, she would pull Tomoe out of her grasp, if her grasped had loosened enough from the strike to her legs in an attempt to catch herself. If she didn't, Hotaru would slash at her shoulder blades at normal speed to see if that would help.
If they worked, she would grab Tomoe, hold onto her tightly and start Shunpo-ing out of the area. She would turn the fire off on her sword before touching Tomoe so she didn't get burned again. She would arrive at Wonderland before running in to help. Hotaru would be panting, her arms heavy with fatigue from the techniques she used to fight that Arrancar and would go looking for Alice, to see what Tomoe and herself needed to do to help.
