Arc 3: Canon KE-1 - Black Nine One Four [Complete]

[Kento Waffles]

Asmoskon’s eye immediately picked up sudden movement to the side and then his body language switched from indifferent to rigid aggression. His left hand was out at his side shaking as he held back the urge to just material his bow and shoot Anarchy through his mask. Although Asmoskon’s face was hidden from the hood and section that covered his face below his eyes he was in a state of rage. This was the Bount that had attacked him a few months ago and left him closer to death then even Allen. This mission had just taken a back seat in importance the main priority was no longer to protect the cargo it was to fucking kill this asshole. “This time it’ll be you laying in the street clinging onto life just you wait asshole.”

It was then that the black dude that wouldn’t shut his mouth began to go over how ridicules it was to see all three of them wearing such attire. The way that the man spoke was annoying and ignorant and Asmoskon was now not in a mood to put up with it. He was starring over at Anarchy his essence thriving with hate and rage all directed towards him. “For those of us who have something to lose it’s worth wearing masks. Try to be worth something and you might learn what it’s like to hide your ugly face.” Asmoskon spoke just prior to Kento beginning which left Darnell no time to react to what had just been said.

It seemed that Asmoskon wasn’t going to be in the same car as Kento which made a fair amount of sense due to them both holding high positions of power in Xcution. Asmoskon had only been briefed on Kento’s position of power not what he actually held the title of only that his authority superseded his even at the rank of Major. That meant that Kento had to hold one of the four major positions of power in Xcution. That left little sense though. Asmoskon knew that there was currently no General of Xcution’s military it was only he and Pavel who both held the rank of Major. He had met the Research Head Kate so that wasn’t the position and as far as he knew there was no one in control of the financial corporation. That left one thing which made him realize it was in front of his face. Kento had to be in control of whatever Zack was apart of since Zack wasn’t enlisted in any of the other sections of Xcution. Just what was it though and was it more powerful than the Military.

Everyone was moving towards the cars that Kento had told them to take and when Asmoskon began to move towards it he realized from the corner of his sight that the man wearing the black cloak that also had a white mask was moving towards him. It was brief, but for some reason the man told him to be careful. Asmoskon just stood straight for a moment thinking over why this random man would first off speak to him when they didn’t know one another. This wasn’t a playground where you had to look after new friends it was real life and in life people get killed. Asmoskon wasn’t sure why, but all the man had done was put up a flag of doubt and warning on himself. Asmoskon had him in his sights now just as he did Anarchy something was going on if not a double cross it was something beneath the surface and Asmoskon would need to find out from this man afterwards.

Making his way over to the car and getting into the back seat behind the passenger seat Asmoskon got ready for anything to happen. As the doorway to the warehouse opened there was a loud shot and then an explosion. Asmoskon had it in his mind to immediately get out of the car and take aim at the rooftop off in the distance. He didn’t have the chance though due to Tyreese slamming on the gas and driving the car forwards out from the warehouse and down the rode. Asmoskon sat in the back of the car ready to just leap out the only thing keeping him from doing so was the door which he had ready to open at any moment. It wasn’t more then a few more moments when he heard the second explosion and saw that the car Jin was in had just been destroyed. “He’ll be fine till I take him out.”

Looking out of the windshield Asmoskon saw the barrack and a moment later Tyreese stopped the car suddenly causing it to skid slightly to a stop. In the next moment Asmoskon heard the sound of the police and the demand to get out of the car. Looking to the front of the car Asmoskon moved his right hand back to the top of his quiver and all of a sudden there was a sound that seem like something was rotating and being put together over and over again. Asmoskon after a moment pulled three arrows out from the quiver and held them in his right hand as he moved over to the other side of the back seat. “They'll only take a second keep the car running.”

Asmoskon stepped out from the car and in that moment his black longbow materialized in his left hand. Suddenly the pitch black archery executed a back flip and in the next moment his feet touched the surface of the cars roof and two arrows were fired from his bow. The police would most likely be expecting something to be fired straight at them and blocked by the barricade. Well Asmoskon had seen them and angled his shot according to the barricade. The two arrows soared into the air and then suddenly came down landing on the ground both on opposite sides of the police. It would be a moment and in that time the third arrow was fired right at the barricade. He was going to bully his way right through there barricade so he would have all the time he needed to kill that Bount who more then likely was taking out whoever caused the explosion.

Asmoskon had fired off two different arrows that he had made specifically for situations like this or at least to make evasion next to impossible and multiple targets easily dealt with. Both arrows that hit behind the barricade struck the ground and then would cause a blinding flash of light from both sides that would more then likely leave nearly every police officer unable to see. As that happened though two further attacks were dealt against them. Both of those arrows had a special shaft connected one of which was now letting out a piercingly high pitched sound that would cause the police to cover their ears in pain by instinct. The next was firing off tiny razors that would cut through their armor and flesh injuring more then likely all of them or at least most primarily in the legs and mid section of their bodies. That last arrow hit the barricade section that was in the middle preventing the car from continuing and blew it up immediately.

Asmoskon crouched on the roof of the car and knocked on the roof with his right hand. “Drive Now!” Asmoskon screamed through the roof at Tyreese not wishing to injury humans that had no purpose in the spiritual aspects of life. Things were just getting started though he knew that and so far this was too easy. If whoever was attacking them truly wanted them to fail he was going to be attacked by someone that could hope to rival his strength. Asmoskon was indifferent to that right now as he stayed on the roof of the car as it began to move through the scattered police barricade all he wanted was to get this over and collect Anarchy’s head. “Won’t be long now till that mask has nothing left to hide Bount.”

Item Name: Supaiku Shafuto
Item Type: Weapon
Item Description: Once again this shaft is slightly thicker in body then that of a normal shaft. This shaft is much like the Sābeiransu Shafuto however instead of tiny cameras layering the body of the actual shaft this one has hundreds of tiny razors that do the very same thing. That's right this arrow has very small thin black razors attached to the body that are normally flat. Once fired the razors can either be launched off in mid flight to cut anything around the arrow. (75 Reiatsu) It can also be activated when the arrow has already struck a surface so the razors can act as a follow up attack. The razors cut at an offensive strength of 300 and travel at a speed of 500 up to a distance of thirty feet.


Item Name: Furasshu Pfeil
Item Type: Weapon
Item Description: Well this one is simple it's a blunt arrow head that actually emits a blinding flash of light. The arrow head although blunt has a small amount of adhesive on the tip which allows the arrow to stick to surfaces. It's not strong enough to keep the arrow from being pulled off. The emitter begins when the arrow head has struck onto a surface. It takes three seconds of prep and after that the flash is emitted. Anyone with 50 senses is blinded if they were looking in the direction of the arrow for the remainder of the round. Those with 100 senses are blinded and feel incredible pain in their eyes for the remainder of the round. Anyone with 200 of more senses that sees the flash of light feels incredible pain and is blinded until the end of the following round.


Item Name: Bakuhatsu Pfeil
Item Type: Weapon
Item Description: This arrow appears to be normal and will act normally until it strikes a surface. Once contact is made the arrow head will explode in the same manner as a grenade. The explosion is nearly instantaneous making evasion from getting hit nearly impossible. The explosion has an offensive strength of 400 making it one that most wouldn't like to take a direct hit from. The spread is equal to roughly two meters.


Item Name: Sonikku Shafuto
Item Type: Weapon
Item Description: This is a special arrow shaft that Asmoskon had created that can emit a high frequency sound over a wide area. The sound emitter starts after the arrow has made contact with something. The sound that is emitted will effect individuals based on their actual sense of hearing. Those with 50 sense will feel a fair amount of pain and have difficulty focusing while the sound is being emitted. Those with 100 sense will feel a large deal of pain and will have an even harder time focusing. Those that have 200 or higher senses will feel incredible pain and most likely drop to the ground. This is due to the fact that the sound actually will cause there inner ear dumbs to rupture and blood to flow from their ears. This leaves those few unable to hear again without healing for the remainder of the thread. The sound emitter is constant after being activated until the end of the following post.

[Kento Waffles]

Three arrows found their marks, embedding in the foreheads of two police officers, and the knee of another. That was three effectively taken out. The harsh sound caused all of them to cover their ears and drop their weapons, leading to zero shots in the direction of the car that contained Tyreese, Asmokon, and Johnny. Tyreese, at that time, slammed on the wheel, driving forwards and busting through the barricade. An effective escape. Now gunning at 120 MPH, the car was well on its way to the extraction point, virtually undamaged except for the scratches from busting through the blockade. On the way, they hit one cop, who splattered against the windshield.

"Nice attack," Tyreese complimented of Asmokon as he turned on the windshield wipers to get the blood off of the car, providing some sight to it. They were the most successful car so far. And, lucky them. They were the car with the drugs and the stuff. Why? Because come on. Who would target the car that didn't have an XSG or a huge black market boss? Though strong, Asmokon, Johnny, and Tyreese were not as high profile targets as Kento or Anarchy... But that meant they were inconspicuous, and would get through without the others attacking them. Not attacking this car had clearly been a mistake. Now there was no one on the way to blocking them.

So, supposedly, reinforcements of some kind were supposed to be on their way, but Johnny, Asmokon, and Tyreese were too far gone. Could reinforcements seriously catch up at this point? They were nearing their GPS destination, where they were supposed to meet up with their boss... Dirty Slutty Freddy. Who the hell was named Dirty Slutty Freddy? Well, it didn't matter. They had succeeded in getting past the blockade. Easy enough. Just like that, they were about five minutes out, mostly from driving too quickly. Good thing it was late enough that no cars were out and about, or driving this quickly would have been impossible.

Behind them, cop cars started to appear. Sirens, etc. A lot of cop cars were following them, but the head start their car had gotten meant that the cop cars were nothing but an afterthought on the horizon. They were liable to lose the cop cars with just a few quick turns. It wasn't difficult. What would be far more difficult would be what would happen after this. They had to meet with Dirty Slutty Freddy, who would initiate phase 2 of the operation. This might be harder without backup from some of the other guys. Oh well, shit happens. After some twists and turns to evade the cops, they would reach the extraction point.

What it was? A dock. And on this dock, at the very edge, was a glowing white light. Getting out, Tyreese pocketed a baggy of some kind of white crystal-like material. It was a very big, thick plastic bag. Some sort of meth? He handed one to Johnny too, and one to Asmokon. There was actually no telling which of them had the "extra something" that was going to be transported, or how many of them actually knew about the "extra something." Well, Asmokon knew one of them had it. Xcution had briefed him on that. But did Tyreese and Johnny know? Anyway, they were to approach the white light at the end of the dock...

[Jin Yamada]

Beneath the mask, Jin's eyes peered all around him, gazing upon his "team" for the night. His eyes studied each one meticulously, gauging what he could from just his sight and energy sensory alone. The majority of them he could tell were humans, Fullbringers. One he could tell was mixed with a dark tainted aura, the same kind of aura he had sensed in the young Bount he had recently begun training. Nakabakki perhaps? he mused when his eyes locked onto the one Kento had called Johnny. That one seemed to possess the reiatsu of a Shinigami too. That made him all the more interesting. He noticed the mod soul in the corner too, the one Kento had called Hanzo. His eyes then moved on to the Bount, Petrov. What's a Bount doing in this shady world? No, the question is, how long has he been at this? I hope you don't get in my way when things go south, Petrov. I don't want to have to kill you... The thought of having to kill one of his own haunted him, but for now, he pushed it to the back of his mind. There was a lot that he needed to think of outside of that. The mission was first priority. Not only because he was getting paid by Kazura for doing this, but also because he wanted to know for himself what that "something else" was. Maybe it could be useful to him as well.

He noticed that there was also another dressed similarly to him. Well, besides Asmoskon. Darnell made sure to point this out, which he found quite amusing. If only the man knew who he truly was. If only he knew the danger behind the name. Behind both of the names that the Bount held, actually. Oh well, it didn't matter. Darnell seemed like he would prove to be a powerful ally in this operation, and Jin hoped to use the man's strengths up until the end. As for strengths, he wondered what the other masked figure was capable of? This one hadn't been seen before. He had never heard descriptions of that masked figure either. He would keep an eye out for that one, as he noticed the other was doing of him. The man had been able to pick up on his presence before he had even revealed himself. How, Jin had no idea. His reiatsu had been concealed, something Bount were incredibly adept at doing. Not only that, but the cloak he wore suppressed his reiatsu and hid it behind the reiatsu signature of another race's reiatsu it had collected. Currently, that second feature wasn't active, but that primary feature of suppressing his reiatsu was. Maybe the masked figure had enough skill with sensing reiatsu to pick up on him despite the cloak. Gatz had warned him that there were people who could do that.

Finally, his attention turned once more to Asmoskon, whose body language seemed perturbed at his presence. He wanted to comment on it but left it alone. If he continued to antagonize the young Quincy, there was no telling how long Asmoskon would be able to contain himself. He might lash out, preemptively at him and destroy all chances of their mission being successfully. So instead of responding to the young Quincy's taunt with words, he gave a soft chuckle to show his amusement. He said nothing to further antagonize him, other than the soft chuckle. He said nothing because it appeared that the operation was about to begin. They were all settled now and it didn't seem like they were waiting for anyone else.

The plan was stated and Kento revealed the cars they would use to exit the warehouse. It was a nice plan, but in the back of his mind, he had information that Kento and the others probably didn't. Kazura had informed him of a strike team that was waiting to ambush them as soon as they left the warehouse. Kazura had also informed him that this team was prepared for any manner in which they left the warehouse. So, they might be expecting cars or maybe they wouldn't. Either way, Jin assumed they would be prepared. So, when everyone began piling into cars and getting prepared to leave, he was cautious. Of course, he didn't show this caution in anyway, but he was still cautious as he piled into the back of the car with Hanzo at the wheel and sat right behind Petrov. And it begins...

With everyone in their respective getaway cars, the doors to the warehouse slid open and everyone immediately took off. That was when chaos broke loose. His head turned towards the car Kento was driving as soon as he heard the bullet crash through the car's window and shatter the glass. He looked in time to see Kento already rolling away from the car and Darnell with some kind of large white aura of reiatsu visible around him. It seemed that technique, Ken, was becoming less rare. He had begun to see more and more people using the technique after he himself had learned it. It was a useful technique, but at the same time, he didn't like being on the receiving end of it. It was good to know that Darnell could use it. He noted the man's proficiency in it's use incase things went bad between them later. He had a feeling things wouldn't turn out the way he wanted them tonight.

His body lurched backwards as the car he was in jumped forwards, zooming away. Kento's car had been a good distraction, and Kazura's team seemed to have taken the bait, going after Xcution's #1 man first out of all nine there. Well, not all of them had taken the bait. As they moved further and further away from the warehouse, Jin could sense him. He could sense something following them, and he could hear something wrong with the car. He heard the noise in the engine and he immediately prepared himself without alerting the other two men. He had assumed that they had probably heard it too. He activated the technique instantly then. His eyes turned red beneath the mask, and as the fire roared out from the engine exploding, his body also turned black underneath all that he was wearing. His body became cloaked in blackness and he sank into the shadows of the back seat and moved into the ground beneath the exploding car. Of course their car wasn't going to get very far. Not with him inside of it. He was too much of a high profile presence for them not to attack his car next. The plan had probably been to get rid of him quickly as well so that the remaining car, full of less high profile assailants would be easier to take down. But, he wasn't going down that easily.

Umagi would see the red eyes appear from the shadows of the burning material left over from what had once been a sedan. He would only see red eyes illuminated by the fires from the burning hunk of metal before a mass of blackness rose from those shadows to face him, illuminated by the flames. "You did well in catching up to us." Jin said in Anarchy's modified, synthetic voice as he rose from the shadows. He silently pulled the golden yoyo from his pockets beneath the black cloak he wore, preparing it as he addressed his pursuer. "I assume they wouldn't have sent someone weak after us, especially after me, so I'm also going to assume you're pretty strong." He didn't want to have to use his release because it would give away the true nature of his reiatsu. His cloak wouldn't be able to hide his Bount reiatsu if he was released. Gatz had made this very clear. But, it couldn't be helped. The man before him was too powerful to underestimate and he wanted to end this quickly so that he and Petrov could catch up with the others. "Zeige Dich, Hitze." he whispered, calling on the power of his doll. It was good that Soul Society had no information on his newest doll since his disappearance as Jin Yamada. It was also good that not many Bount knew the name of his doll, only rumors of what it could do. He had that as an advantage. Even if Umagi or Petrov heard his release over the roar of the flames behind him, hearing the name wouldn't help either of them to know his true identity.

His golden reiatsu burst from his body, engulfing him for a brief second in a flash of golden light that might blind Umagi if he looked directly at the Bount. The golden yoyo also burst into reiatsu within his hands at that moment and dispersed into the air. "I have a deadline and a car to catch, so I don't plan on going at this for long. Come, and face true Anarchy." With that, the temperature around them skyrocketed from a cool 50-60 degrees Fahrenheit to a scorching 140 degrees Fahrenheit in a quarter of a mile radius around them. Umagi would feel the moisture in the air literally vaporizing around him, the heat from that radiating onto his face and any exposed skin. That wasn't it though. If Umagi was caught off guard by the sudden increase in temperature at all, he wouldn't be prepared for what came next. Coming at him suddenly from both sides were two six foot columns of heated gas, courtesy of the mischievous doll of heat. Umagi would be able to feel the heat radiating from them instantly as they drew near. He would be blasted with heat and burns if he were to find himself caught in any of them, but of course, Jin wasn't planning for this to end it. If Umagi was strong, he would be able to escape. And then Jin would catch him. Umagi and Petrov would find that as long as either of them remained within that quarter of a mile area of heat, they would grow weaker. The heat would sap them of their senses and their physical strength (OOC: 5% of awareness and physical stats/post of being in the heat field). Umagi better watch out, because if he didn't, he would find himself losing stamina much faster than he expected.

I can't do much about Hitze affecting Petrov, so I'll try to end this as quickly as possible. That way the both of us can catch up with that other car. Plus, this bloke has some weird smoke form power that I don't want to get to know personally. Attacking with Hitze should get past his power...

This is the staple technique which all Bount develop eventually with age, though of course it takes practice to master. This technique allows Bount to sink into the shadows, and melt into the darkness. As long as there is a shadow that the Bount stands over or in contact with, they can melt their entire body into it. In this way, they can reside within the shadow and watch situations unfold, with only glowing red eyes showing from inside of the shadow. Or, instead, they can disappear completely into the shadow and use it to transport themselves. Bount can travel anywhere within shadows as long as these shadows are connected. So if two shadows are disjointed, Bount cannot travel in between them. This makes this technique most effective at night, especially during a new moon. The class 5 version is the most commonly used, and allows the Bount to sink at half their speed. Class 4 allows full speed sinking. Class 3 allows double speed sinking.

This technique costs reiatsu, but has another drawback. It makes Bount skin extremely sensitive to heat and to light. Therefore, hot things seem hotter, and bright things seem brighter. And, the sun has a harmful effect when this is used. For 24 hours after use of this technique, Bount must avoid sunlight, or their skin will begin to blister and burn. The higher class of technique they used within the last 24 hours, the more they will burn. If the class 3 version was used, the burning may even kill them if they stay in sunlight long enough.

Technique 1- Wüsten-Abfluss (lit. Desert Drain)

Description: This technique is a passive ability of Hitze's upon being released. When Hitze spreads out within the air, it is able to directly transfer heat to opponent's through conduction. This allows it to cook opponent's from the inside out gradually. As long as the opponent is within Hitze's field of heat, they lose 5% of physical and awareness stats per post.

Drawback: Since Hitze can only spread its body out to cover a certain area, opponents are safe once they exit the area Hitze's body covers. Also, the loss of stamina from the heat is so gradual that it would take some time to weaken an opponent.

To most, the events that unfolded within seconds after Kento Sasaki opened his mouth to speak would have passed in a chaotic haze. However, Kagami and Kento were both aware of the ambush awaiting them. The second that the garage was opened, they were exposed. Kagami was a war strategy genius, and it was obvious how unfavorable their location was. The other building had a clear view of them, giving them a chance to use long-ranged weapons to easily eliminate the group of guns-for-hire. Kagami knew that at least one person from their group would be killed, considering how the odds were stacked against them. At least one. They were exposed to gunfire. Luck wasn’t on Kagami’s side. However, he had a talent for making luck.

It all began when Kento muttered one word: “Sniper.”

In the events that suddenly transpired over a couple of seconds, Kagami did two things the instant that Kento’s warning left his mouth. The first was brace himself by tensing his muscles and putting pressure on the bottom of his seat as though he was fighting an opposing force. The second thing he did was smirk. It wasn’t a cocky, arrogant grin that he used flash publicly for all to see. No, this one was different. It was earnest. It was a sign of something to come, something very fun. It’s too bad that Darnell wouldn’t get the warning, for the smile was hidden under the white mask. The dark-skinned gangster wouldn’t have a chance to move a muscle before-

Something exploded right where Kento’s head used to be.

CRASH

Suddenly, the car was flung off its wheels and over the side, essentially flipping over after sudden contact from a mysterious source. Something had hit the car from the very front. Wait, no, that wasn’t accurate. It didn’t come from the side. It came from… below. Something sprung up the ground beneath the car, knocking it onto its back. Darnell would undoubtedly be incredibly confused. Kagami, on the other hand, knew exactly what was going on. After all, he prepared himself for such an event. The suddenly flip of the car had only bruised his arms and legs lightly, barely injuring himself, since he had braced himself a split second before the impact.

After all, Kagami had caused the car to flip over. Hado #41: Kanji Taiho. A pillar of concrete from beneath the car would shoot upward with a speed of 500 and force of 300, knocking the car over with ease. Kagami opened the door and rolled out of the upside down car, getting himself onto his feet while using the door as cover from a sniper. He crawled behind the vehicle and crouched, ensuring to keep the car between himself and the sniper at all times. The little stunt he pulled could possibly have angered Darnell, but Kagami couldn’t care less. If Darnell took just a second to think, he would have realized that the masked man saved his life. After all, once the driver was killed, the passengers were next. Kagami and Darnell were the next logical targets.

And then Darnell brought some important news to ‘OG Lush’: it appears that they had weapons. Kagami opened the upside down trunk, and, what do you know, an RPG falls right into his hands. The Vice Captain wasn’t the best with using such a weapon, but how difficult could it be? Point and shoot, right? However, he needed to buy himself time to point. By using the same technique, Hado #41, he created a pillar of stone that would shoot out of the ceiling above Yoko’s head and crack her unprotected skull. In that moment of distraction, Kagami would stand over the flipped-over car, point the end of the RPG he carried on his shoulder, and pull the trigger. The enemies in the office building were in for a surprise. At least two of them, those who Kagami could detect with his energy sensory were in trouble.

And that’s when it got hot. Very hot. Kagami was vaguely aware of the fact that the block was turning into a battlefield. Explosions killed police officers and helped Asmokon’s car escape. Other explosions occurred in Anarchy’s car, though they only took one of the occupant’s lives. The two Bounts were fighting a strange Shinigami. And now, Kagami was left with options: Escape and chase after Asmokon’s car, fight along side Anarchy while getting cooked in the heat, or helping from a distance so the heat won’t effect him. Option C was looking like the best one, especially when he didn’t get the fight he’s been looking for yet. Hopefully, if he caused enough damage, someone strong would come by and give him a fun time.

And so Kagami set the RPG down and used Hado #41 once more, though this time right underneath his feet. The stone pillar would launch him into the air, and Kagami would wait until he hit the peak of his trajectory before landing on a platform of air ground. However, it was still incredibly hot, so he would Shunpo until he was a little bit over 400 meters above the warehouse they had met in. As he exited the range of a quarter mile, he realized how wide Anarchy’s heat power extended. It had an incredibly long range, for Kagami had to travel very high up in order to get out of it. However, he was finally able to get to work without worrying about getting cooked.

But now it was time for action. The Vice Captain started by dropping a small, glass mirror cube that showed reflections on each of its ends. It was the size of a die. It was also fragile. When it crashed against the roof of the warehouse, the bits of mirrors would cover a small area on the roof with reflective shards. From that point on, Kagami pointed his left index finger downwards and muttered an incantation. ““Answer me, Apollo, and show me how to harness the power of the sun, but not its fiery flares. I seek to harness the source of all life, the upholder of the day, the illumination emitted from your holy, eternal torch. Condense a star in the form of a beam, and allow it to expand and consume all that stand before it. No matter how overwhelming the darkness, there will be light. Hado #79: Reza Hikari.”

A small, red light would leave his finger and travel straight down to the mirror shards below, where it would be reflected back up at him. However, something about it changed. It was slightly larger and stronger. Kagami used Bakudo #38: Mirafureru on his left palm to reflect the laser back downward, letting it grow once more. The laser moved with the speed of a bala, so it only took a couple of seconds for it to grow to its maximum size after getting reflected a total of twenty times. The reiatsu cost was great, but Kagami had reiatsu to spare. Eventually, he was able to form a huge blast of red light with a diameter of six meters, making it more than three times wider and two times taller than freight trains. It would destroy the wing of the office building that the sniper was in. However, killing them wasn’t the point. Kagami just wanted to draw attention to himself. He bounced the laser toward the office building, knowing that it would destroy the structure completely.


The enemy would realize that they had left a powerful figure unchecked, so one question remained: who would be sent to check the masked man?

Marcus knew something went wrong. He saw a man roll out of the driver’s seat just before Yoko shot the sniper, leading to a definite miss. From that point on, the action picked up. The car Yoko had targeted was flipped over by stone pillar emerging from beneath it? Was that the doing of one of their Shinigami allies? But wait, there was more. One car was driving away before it met the resistance of a police blockade. However, the blockade didn’t last long. A black man shot projectiles that appeared to be types of bolts. Their strange abilities incapacitated the Oakland Police Department as well as caused an explosion to clear their path. One car was free to go, and that was a problem.

Another explosion caught Marcus’s attention. The third vehicle suddenly erupted in flames. Three masses of smoke emerged beside the destroyed car, though the smoke masses soon took on humanoid forms. One of the Shinigami had engaged Anarchy and Petrov. Asmokon, Johnny, and Tyresse were getting away. Umagi had to take care of the two bounts while it would be Marcus’s job to protect Yoko. However, the longer he waited, the further and further the third car got. Someone needed to pursue that vehicle, and it had to be someone fast enough to catch up. Marcus was the ideal choice, and he was about to notify Yoko that he was going to chase after the car when some action rolled his way.

As he turned to speak to Yoko, a concrete cylinder shot out of the ceiling right toward her head. The stone was faster than Yoko. However, it wasn’t as speedy as Marcus, and with a quick, short punch, he was able to shatter the rock, saving Yoko’s head. It was then that he looked out the window and noticed the masked man holding a rocket launcher toward them. They were in trouble, especially considering that Yoko’s attention would be directed at the crumbled stone that almost cracked her skull rather than a sniper target. Marcus, however, was ready to act quickly. He pointed his right arm at the masked man and shot out a plain kunai without any reiatsu infused into it right at him. The kunai only traveled at a speed of 600, so it wouldn’t hit him before he launched the rocket. However, it would meet the rocket head on, causing it to explode in the air from the abrupt impact of the kunai, considering that it had a force of 450 behind it.

Marcus turned to Yoko and Daryl. For once, his voice was steady and confident. “A car is getting away, and I need to chase it to see where it’s going. You can track my position through the Uzaki Enterprise Communicator, but for now, I need to hurry and leave.” Marcus turned to the window overlooking the warehouse when he saw a disturbing sight. A small red light had shot down at the warehouse roof from the sky. However, it bounced upward at an incredibly rapid pace and continued to return down until it increased from a tiny thread of light to a huge, red pillar. As Marcus began to notice its growth, just one second before it was heading directly toward them with the speed of a bala, he gave Yoko and Daryl a warning. “Get out.”

The Fullbringer was fast enough to escape the huge blast of light with his full speed, not requiring a step technique. However, he did need some speed boosts to catch up to the escaped car. The car was far away, and Marcus couldn’t run forever without tiring, so he resorted to releasing his Fullbring. Metal wings would form on his back that picked up him up into the sky, letting him soar without feeling the same, heavy stamina restraints. He still grew tired, but far less quickly than if he had run. At his maximum speed, he was able to rapidly catch up with the police lights in the distance and eventually stalk the third car from above, where the black smoke that followed and engulfed him would blend in with the black, night sky over the buildings of Oakland. He followed the car all the way to the dock, where he waited above and watched quietly. Being engulfed in his smoke, it would be impossible to detect him without particularly remarkable energy sensory. As he observed from above, like a bird, he used his communicator to send word to Daryl and Yoko. Hopefully, they were alive and would come by to help him soon.

As Asmokon, Johnny, and Tyreese reached the end of the pier and the light, they would see that it wasn't just any old light. It was a set of feudal looking Japanese doors, hovering at the end of the pier. No, seriously. They were floating, and wide open, revealing a white light which cast its glow over the pier. That was the source of the glimmering. They were Senkai Gates, or in other words those special gates that led to what was called the Dangai, or Precipice World, which in turn was a pathway which would lead to the Soul Society, where the goods were to be delivered. There was the way to the delivery point. A two step delivery mission.

And there was their benefactor and boss. Dirty Slutty Freddy. How could one tell that he was Freddy? Well, really, you just could. Just by seeing him, it was obvious. And god, was he big. He was literally seven feet tall, and had ripples of muscle that were larger than most people's bodies. His huge frame was something legendarily impressive. He was also extremely dark skinned, and had gray hair and a gray beard. He was wearing a dark blue plad shirt, jeans, and sneakers. He didn't really look out of the ordinary besides height and mass. He was a big guy, but looked more like a big BBQ dad than a big gangster.

But when he spoke, his voice was a deep, ominous thunder. "There are only three of you," Freddy said. "Did ya'll run into trouble?" He was very to the point about this. Tyreese was quick to answer on the uptake. "Darnell n a couple of others are stuck at the warehouse fighting the Soul Reapers. Petrov n them were following us, but their car blew up." The monstrous boss called Dirty Slutty Freddy shrugged, and then looked between them again. "You got the stuff?" he asked, referring to if each of them had drugs, which each of them did. One of them had the something else, but it wasn't certain who. Tyreese nodded at Dirty Slutty Freddy.

"Ight," Freddy said. "We can go in soon as one of yous deals with the fucker watching us from the sky."

Meanwhile, Umagi smiled coldly back at the figure that Soul Reapers knew to be an underground criminal named Anarchy. "Our records indicate that you're strong enough to at least merit someone from special forces..." Umagi told Jin, and he tore off his shirt, revealing that on his chest there was a black ocean wave icon as a tattoo. So he was a member of the Kawada Organization called Tsunami. In other words, the Kawada's secret police, the right hand of their family. He worked intimately as a personal lackey of Kenryoku Kawada. That by itself was scary enough reason for Jin to be on guard.

As Hitze was released and the doll's heat began to emanate out, Umagi replied to Jin's statement. "Tell me..." he said. "What's one thousand minus seven?" Just as the heat started to come out, Umagi's body started to dissolve again into black smoke. He was disappearing into smoke. Jin's beams of high intensity energy would miss Umagi, whose smoke moved out of the way. If they had been able to hit. They hadn't even touched the smoke, so there was no telling on if Jin could actually hit with that attack and do some damage. Since Umagi had dodged, presumably it indicated fear of harm, so presumably Jin could land the attack, but maybe not.

Anyway, when all the rambling from the Dungeon Master was done, Umagi's smoke started to surround Jin, and several Kido spells started to appear. First, a Rikujokoro appeared around his waist and tried to ensnare him in that trap. Second, a Kurohitsugi appeared around them. Third, the Kurohitsugi became surrounded by four Sokkatsui spells. It was getting to be a really dangerous combination. If Rikujokoro caught Jin, he would be immobilized long enough for Kurohitsugi to impale him everywhere. And if Kurohitsugi hit him, even if Rikujokoro didn't, then Jin would get hit by Sokkatsui from all sides. But he was already inside the black box, and escaping meant he still might be damaged. Troubling.

And now we get to Kagami. Well, his RPG was countered by Marcus, and so was his other attack on Yoko. Good for him. Thanks to that, Yoko's life was saved, but Marcus had already escaped to go pursue others, meaning that they were already down a number. It should technically be even, then, with Marcus, Yoko, and Daryl. But that wasn't what happened, because the building was collapsing from Kento's attack. Though Marcus got out and went wherever, and Daryl managed to escape, Yoko would find that by virtue of bad luck alone, a pillar blocked her exit, and as she turned, and prepared to use any number of powers to escape, she was cut short.

The floor beneath her gave way, interrupting the prep to any kind of released ability or reiatsu, and she fell to the ground level. As she did, debris collapsed on her body, reducing numbers by one more, not only because of debris, but the resulting explosion of Kagami's attacks too. Daryl was already out, fighting Darnell, and this left Kagami and Kento. Kento would return to Kagami and Darnell, and Daryl was the last one out of the attackers. It was a quick match, too. Daryl's crossbow fired a bolt which suddenly disappeared. And next thing they knew, Darnell had rolled out of the way, and fired several shots at Daryl, who tried to dodge, but found Darnell suddenly behind him, shot to the head. Daryl took that bullet then and there. He died just like that. It was over.

"Come on," Kento said. "We're going to walk to the checkpoint." He seriously had intentions of making them walk to the check point where they had been meant to meet Dirty Slutty Freddy. Now, from a reader's perspective, you know that the Senkai Gate was probably going to wait there, and that even after Freddy and gang used it, Kento and others would later be able to follow. But, the people with Kento wouldn't know that, and might think that they were going to be very late and might get in some trouble with Freddy. Being in trouble with your boss is a scary thing, especially if the guy is named Dirty Slutty Freddy, and has a reputation for killing lots of guys.

Asmoskon stayed on the roof of the car as it went throughout the area and then eventually stopped at the docks. When they got there Asmoskon hopped off of the roof his bow still in his left hand yet no arrows in his right. He looked around the area making sure that it wasn't a double cross or that they were going to be ambushed yet again in this new location. That was when he saw the man that was said to be in charge of this operation. Freddy seemed to be someone that Asmoskon knew no one would welcome close combat against yet right now muscle wasn't needed it seemed distance was the prime problem.

He now had the drugs and was ready to just go through the gate that would lead to Soul Society. Asmoskon traveled those gates frequently so he knew what was on the other side and all of the other small details. What he really hoped wouldn't happen was seeing Hotaru on the other side. Asmoskon had worn his armor for a reason. Not only was he protecting his appearance for the sake of Hotaru, but since he was clad in black even if she was waiting on the other side for this shipment and ready to stop it she wouldn't be able to tell he was himself. Well he hoped at least he'd never heard of a Quincy with a black bow other then himself so that kinda gave himself away already.

That was when Freddy said that they could get going as soon as someone took out the guy watching them from the sky. Asmoskon immediately spun around on the back of his heels his right hand going up behind his head and gripping a nock. The quiver on his back shifted and made a slight sound while attaching the pieces that Asmoskon was thinking about. It only took an instant and when Asmoskon turned around fully he already had the arrow nocked to the bow and the string back to full draw. He didn't know where the man was due to the darkness of the night and so he fired off the arrow at a cargo crate about twenty feet away from him to the right.

Asmoskon stood there and then there was a flash of light from his arrow which lit up the area for a moment including the sky. There it was a cloud of black smoke. Asmoskon wasn't sure how Freddy had even seen it or knew it was a male, but Asmoskon was dead set on believing it was a Bount. "Fuck them all." In an instant Asmoskon's longbow shifted and changed as his reiatsu skyrocketed and his first bow release activated. "Gerechtigkeit" Asmoskon's sights were set on the black smoke as the light started to fade. He had this chance and just like hat he fired off five crimson arrows aimed right at the smoke. As they flew though they all split apart doubling in number creating a small volley that would now track down the Bount and lead to his death. Asmoskon wasn't worried about the creature getting away his arrows couldn't lose track of him now and moving at the speed they were (875) there was next to no chance that whoever was within the smoke would be able to outrun his volley for long.

So at some point, Kento and gang had copped themselves a car, and this was blistering down the highway at incredible speed. Apparently, Kento was an extremely reckless driver, and the car was going very quickly. Considering how well Kento dodged traffic, though, even when there was a red light, one had to admit that he had a certain degree of skill. He was doing pretty well with his driving and all. Kento wasn't without his merits, you know. That's what you get when you wear a suit vest and sunglasses all the time. Especially the sunglasses. Even at night. No, seriously, who wears sunglasses at night?

Kento Sasaki was driving the car with both Kagami and Darnell in his back seat. No one was shotgun except for what appeared to be an actual shotgun. There was also a lot more artillery in the trunk, because on the way, Kento had recognized a gun shop, paid the guy off, and loaded a bunch of guns into the car that they had hotwired and stolen. It seemed being a criminal inherently meant that hotwiring cars was really easy. While the party of three was driving, Kento glanced back once just to make sure that all was well, and then suddenly everything went into chaos then and there. Kento's eyes went wide.

The car's wheels exploded out, and it came to a skidding stop. Kento got out of the car with the shotgun, looking around. And that was when Darnell, Kento, and Kagami would see it. That backup that had been called earlier. Coming out, there was a Soul Reaper in black. With some kind of violet hair and violet eyes, he was a huge man that had extremely large hands, and extremely long legs. And, on his throat, was a tattoo of a wave. He was a member of Tsunami, too. Kenryoku Kawada's special forces unit in the name of the Kawadas. Lately, with the Vandenreich's invasions, the Kawadas had become a stronger force for defending Soul Society.

But this new guy, Kagami might recognize. An up and comer from the academy, Masato Unova had been a classmate to those known as the "Five Prodigies" that had just graduated a couple of years ago. And supposedly, this guy was immaculate in control of his heavy spiritual pressure. Staring them down, Masato smiled. "Looks like I get to be a hero by bringing in some big shots..." Masato said. And he put on some obnoxiously prissy looking square glasses, and held out his palms. And suddenly, there it came. A huge blast of what might feel like gravity turned sideways, and Kento, Kagami, and Darnell would be blasted through the air, and the car would shatter, along with the shotgun. The fragments would fly at them faster than they flew back. If they didn't defend, they would splat against a building behind them, and/or the fragments, sharp, would stab into them.

Upon hearing the name of the group his opponent belonged to, the Bount Leader’s eyes narrowed. His eyes narrowed because he recognized the name. He didn’t recognize that symbol that was tattooed on the man’s chest. No, he recognized the significance behind the name. Tsunami. A powerful organization said to rival or even supersede the Onmitsukido. This was what he had heard from inside reports. And he knew too of the man who headed such an organization. A man feared because of his strength and because of the family he belonged to. Kenryoku Kawada. The current head of the Kawada Family. If someone from that organization had been sent after him, then the man standing before him was no pushover. This would take longer than he thought.

Master, he dodged my attacks. He’s coming for you now.

The disembodied voice that spoke within Jin’s mind was commanding, yet subservient. The doll of heat could sense the enemy’s approach. It could sense all things relating to energy, and in this manner, with it’s body being in constant contact with Umagi’s mist form, it could also sense the small particles that made him up through sensing the energy that each particle of mist gave off. It could sense Umagi’s movement towards Jin and the reiatsu building around Jin before the mist reached him. Got it… That was the only acknowledgement that the Bount Leader gave to the doll’s concern. He ignored Umagi’s question, his analytical mind realizing that it had been a ploy to distract him. Get him to drop his guard. He knew Umagi’s next plan. He knew it because of his incredible ability to analyze battle. In such a form, he knew that it would be most beneficial to surround the enemy, and attack them from an unsuspecting direction. This was what he had tried to do against the Lord of Hades, Enma, in a form such as this.

So because of that, he was already preparing himself for Umagi’s mist form as it approached and surrounded him. Having been warned by his doll early enough and with his suspicion that this was Umagi’s next move as the mist moved towards him and began surrounding him, he acted quickly. As that mist formed, his eyes were already turning red beneath the mask. His body was already turning black as the mist surrounded him and he instantly slipped into the shadows just then as those six rods of light slipped in from the mist that had finally finished surrounding him. Sinking into the shadows, his body moved away from where he had once stood and he moved away, slipping through the connected shadows of the mist and the car wreckage. This too allowed him to slip away from the impending doom of Kurohitsugi and those four Sokkatsui that Umagi had laid for him as a trap. While he slipped away from the impending doom that came next, the devious doll of heat began its own attack, knowing just how to attack an enemy in this type of form.

The air suddenly heated up again in the area where Umagi’s mist was concentrated. The air heated up as Hitze passively absorbed the heat energy given off by the reiatsu from those attacks. The air heated up and then that hot air rose above the mist. Very quickly, it was replaced by cold air, rushing in to fill the empty space. That cold air which rushed in would push the mist away, and disperse that form of Umagi, blasting him away harshly. That is, if he didn’t have some kind of control over his misty tom to prevent it from being blown away by wind attacks. After that, a column of heat formed, spinning in the center of the area the mist had once occupied. This column spun and dragged the heated air around it. Umagi would find that the column was actually pulling on the air around it and sucking it in, drawing the air into itself. This sort of suction would also draw Umagi in, and pull on his misty form, if he truly was affected by wind. What he would do to counter this suction was up to him. But, the doll of heat was prepared with more, knowing that an enemy such as this would not go down so easily. The goal was to separate the mist into many parts if it could, to get Umagi to come out in his physical form.

Meanwhile, Jin remained in the shadows, his glowing red eyes gazing out at what was happening before him. Umagi’s mist form had many advantages, advantages that would make fighting him incredibly difficult. But, if he could wait it out, and get Umagi to keep using up reiatsu, there might be a chance for he and Petrov to end this quickly. Speaking of Petrov, had he run off after the car had blown up? Where had he gone? I hope he didn’t leave me here to fend off this guy on my own? If we can work together against this bloke, it’ll be easier to take him down and meet up with everyone else. So, when will you make your appearance Petrov…? Until then, the Bount was going to wait out his enemy and see what else he could do with that mist, lest he be caught in another trap by that mist surrounding him again.

Jin's wind attacks met success when Umagi, realizing his vulnerability, was forced to revert to his physical form. Instantly, he appeared within Jin's heat, becoming a corporeal entity that could tank the wind, but which was vulnerable once more to other forms of attack. For one thing, Jin's heat was literally unbearable. It literally detracted from Umagi's physical ability with each passing second in it. That was the worst thing about fighting Jin. It was like Bikram Yoga combined with mixed martial arts. Or training at Hayastan MMA academy. Second worst thing about Umagi being forced to materialize? Yugioh.

Red eyes appeared near Jin, and a huge reiatsu signature suddenly came out of nowhere. An enormous shadow eclipsed their entire area, so huge and ominous as to obscure any light that was coming in. It was good for one thing because it gave Jin all the more area to hide in. But damn, what the hell was that? It was big enough to cast a shadow over the rooftops of the nearby buildings, so that meant it was inherently much larger than all of the buildings. Was some kind of cover overhead, casting a roof over them to block their view of the sky? There were Bount techniques like that, but this was not the technique.

A gigantic column of stone crashed down onto where Umagi was, shattering the ground and leacing a huge crater as earth exploded all around. The asphalt of the road was blown apart easily, and created a huge cloud of debris and hardened material. Reiatsu exploded out of the impact point, so mighty that even Jin's heat was momentarily blown away, before settling back over the area... But it had gotten much hotter in that spot. The huge crater of earth was also filling gradually with lava... And sparks of electricity too. But it wasn't a column of stone that had descended. It was a huge, muscular arm, and a fist was what had impacted the ground.

If Jin looked up, which, you know, he probably should, he'd see what Petrov's doll was. And holy **** on a **** sandwich, dude. It was a massive monster made of stone. Its horns formed a crown on its ugly head, and its sharp teeth were exposed by a lack of lips. It had deep eyes, and a rare gem engraved into its forehead. Its arms were massive, and the thing stood extremely tall. Taller than any of the buildings around them. Probably at least three times their size. It was a godlike thing just by size feat alone, but its punch packed some real power in addition to that. It was like Arnold Schwarznegger and Bas Rutten had a baby, and then fed that baby steroids on steroids on steroids on mutant formula.

Holy mother of fuck. Jin wanted Petrov as an ally, now. That monster was giant. That thing was a fucking doll. Jin had met many Bount in his life, but he had been stronger than all of them. Here was a Bount who might be close to Jin's level. He might even be as strong as Jin, if Jin was unlucky. Recruit this guy, and his Bount army just got literally twice as strong. But, even that doll wasn't enough to kill Umagi. At the last second, Umagi had thrown up a very powerful reiatsu based defense, which evidently had been smashed, leaving Umagi to turn into smoke to guard again. But even that didn't do full good.

When Umagi was next seen, he was crawling away toward the shadow of a building, trying to escape. He was missing both his left arm and his left leg, and his right foot too. His back was covered in burns, and his entire right side of his face had been burned off. He was a mess. But he wasn't beaten. Not by a longshot. That had been a surprise attack. As he got into the shadows of the building, his remaining two limbs disintegrated into ashes, along with his good eye. Reiatsu generated under Jin and Petrov, and suddenly, three huge knives of red reiatsu exploded out of the ground. Triple Itto Kaso. It was one thing to cast one, but Umagi had just cast three to try and take out Jin and Petrov.

And, careful. Umagi had sacrificed his body, but he wasn't dead or defeated...

Kagami was sorely disappointed. He had put all of that effort and reiatsu into producing a huge pillar of pure red energy with the potency to vaporize buildings. Such a deadly, destructive technique, however, wasn’t used to kill in this situation. His only intention was to pick a fight with someone, anyone strong enough to take him on. Two of the humans got out, one who ran to pursue Asmokon’s car and the other who began fighting Darnell. The third one was too weak to even make it out alive. Kagami was left without a fight, and it pissed him off.

And so, from his birds-eye view above, Kagami decided to evaluate Darnell based on his performance against the other human. It wasn’t a very long or good fight, which was just another disappointment. The human fired a crossbow, but his bolt suddenly vanished. Darnell somehow vanished after shooting a few bullets too, and he reappeared directly behind the other man, who got a quick bullet to the head. It was a boring, uneven fight. In the distance, Kagami could feel strong reiatsu signatures flaring. At least some people were having a blast. In the meantime, Kagami began his descent to rejoin the other two people in his party.

And so he entered the car once more and began their little road trip. Kento drove, once again, but this time, Darnell sat in the back with Kagami. He didn’t say a word, nor would he respond to Darnell or Kento. He road in silence, and, sooner rather than later, that silence was disturbed. He felt a spike in reiatsu near by, and, as if on queue, the tires of the car popped. The vehicle began skidding until the friction slowed it to the stop. Kagami got out along with Kento, his black blade in his right hand.

And he was excited. Finally, there was someone strong for him to face, someone with as much raw power as himself. Just with his energy sensory, Kagami knew that this guy and himself were on par when it came to their incredible amount of reiatsu. His reiatsu was more potent, but he couldn’t underestimate the guy standing above the high way. "Looks like I get to be a hero by bringing in some big shots..." A low chuckle left the masked man’s lips. Too bad the heros don’t win. His left hand instinctively rose to feel the circular scar behind his shirt at the center of his chest. Somewhere within him, he ached to fight. He ached to kill.

Let’s kick his ass, Kagami. That sonofabitch is a bit too smug for his own good.

Spurred by the words of his Zanpakuto Spirit, Mai, Kagami’s reiatsu surged. All it took was an inaudible whisper. “Unveil all utrocities, even those unseen. Reveal their souls, Shinkiro Mai.” No one would notice a visible change, but the truth is that the blade behind his trench coat hand transformed into a jade short sword, though it remained in its sheath. The man’s hand rose, and Kagami knew that it was time for him to expect some violence to break out. Energy flared all around him, and, suddenly he was thrown up into the air. The car, right beside him, exploded into pieces of debris that threatened to pierce him. He was in danger, but he wasn’t weak.

Kagami had a second to act, and he used every slice of it. From his hand, a shiny smoke suddenly engulfed him. Now, shiny smoke? That wasn’t a technique that anyone was familiar of, nor one Kagami could use. It was, instead, a use of two different Kido together. Bakudo #21: Senkieton, the technique that creates a cloud of red smoke. However, this smoke was shiny. That was because as it left Kagami’s hand, he used Bakudo #38: Mirafureru a split second afterward. That accounted for the luster of the smoke, but it wouldn’t be possible to identify it as a mirror. As of now, his identity was safe.

And so was he. From within the smoke, where they wouldn’t be visible, jade blades the length of his short-sword would emerge only in the interior so that none of the bystanders would see them. Kagami’s Zanpakuto would deflect any shrapnel, and he would be left to calmly soar through the air. To slow down his velocity, Kagami used Hado #41: Kanji Taiho to create a pillar just beneath him, parallel to his ventral side. He used his abdomen muscles to spin himself so that his head no pointed toward where he was thrown from. He planted his sword into the stone pillar, letting the force of it tearing through the rock slow him down until he reached a full stop.

Kagami pulled his sword out of the stone and jumped onto the pillar. By activating Shunkassou, his speed suddenly shot up to a whopping 1000. Kagami covered the distance that he was thrown in a mere second or two. But that wasn’t all he was going to do. With his incredible speed, he began to spiral upwards around the new Shinigami, staying no less than ten feet from him. Kagami didn’t recognize his face, which was surprising considering his power. Kagami knew for certain that he’d recognize the name if he ever got the chance to hear it.

After making five or six circles and rising a good fifteen meters over the Shinigami’s head, Kagami passed over him and began a quick decent back to the highway, right by where the car used to be. Upon making it back onto the ground, Kagami ended Shunkassou. His blankly stared up at the Shinigami while whispering a few words behind his mask. “Observe in darkness, Kagebokkusu.” The blade drew in all light. It acted like a black whole, sucking up all visibility. For a second, the place of the sword is replaced with an empty, dark slot. It was like a black whole. Nothing would be there but the silhouette of a transforming blade. It reflected Kagami’s nature perfectly. He shunpoed several meters backward, the black box recording the move in its memory. He wouldn’t make the first move, though. That task would fall to someone else.

At the dock, a man seemed to be waiting for the trio in the cars. He had to be the leader. Marcus was stalking an extremely important meeting, and he decided to remain quiet until he received back up. Yoko and Daryl should be rejoining him after they took care of the threats by the warehouse, so Marcus had to hope that they were safe and well. In the mean time, he would just watch and list-

“We can go in soon as one of yours deals with the fucker watching us from the sky."

Marcus was in trouble. He was dealing with the strongest of all of the criminals, their leaders. This guy had to be more powerful than even the ace of Xcution, Kento Saski. Marcus would have to be careful. He grabbed his escrima sticks from his waist, holding one in each hand. He’d need them if he had to fighting against a swordsman or weapon-wielder.

But that didn’t seem to be the case. The first person to respond was the Quincy, Asmokon. That flash of light from his arrow would normally have been blinding, but Marcus could only see through his black fog like it was a veil. His sight wasn't limited, but, at the same time, he wasn't looking directly at the source of the light. The fog provided him protection from being blinded. The Quincy then fired bolts into the black fog. He acted like he believed that the black bolts would somehow hit their mark, but he was literally taking a shot in the dark. Marcus didn’t have to move, for they were all way off. In response, moving at his maximum speed with his wings, he sped toward the group. The odds are that Marcus was far faster than any of them, but he wasn’t about to take any risks. Making sure he stayed five meters away from the group, he made a quick circle around them and proceeded to fly just out of sword’s reach over their heads, though that last reckless move would be done with a quick use of Movement.

And then he’d back off into the trail of smoke that remained from his descent, allowing him to return to the spot he was initially in the sky, watching the criminals before he was discovered. By traveling within his past smoke trails, it would be extremely difficult to figure out which way he went and where exactly he is. And, in the meantime, Marcus would simply watch as the smoke rapidly grew to swallow the group. His plan for now was to stall for time and set himself up. He would need back-up if he wanted to take on the criminals. Three versus one was hardly fair. But if it came down to a fight, Marcus would need to spread out as much smoke as possible so he can pick them off one by one.

Well the black fog remained in the sky and his crimson arrows flew through it yet nothing feel from the cloud and it remained in the sky. It took Asmoskon a few moments to realize it as the light from his arrow faded and the darkness of night resumed, but the smoke was in fact spreading and it was doing so at a pretty good rate. Asmoskon knew that whoever was watching them was within the smoke and that his arrows for whatever reason had been unable to lock onto the individual’s reiatsu. That meant that the smoke that whoever it was generating was able to cloak their reiatsu. In other words Asmoskon had to get rid of the smoke and then eliminate this threat.

It was then that the smoke began to move towards them and Asmoskon could easily see that whoever was inside of the smoke outclassed him in terms of speed by more then double. Asmoskon could tell based on how he was moving along with the fact that he heard the actual air shifting along with no sound of foot steps that this individual was flying. It was then that the smoke go around the small group and Asmoskon knew that he was being set up for some type of strategy that would more then likely prove next to impossible to prevent if he continued to allow this individual to fly. As the smoke moved overhead Asmoskon’s black longbow vanished and his reiatsu skyrocketed once more. “Kreuzung” In that moment a pair of black crossbows manifested in Asmoskon’s hands.

Extending both arms outwards to his sides Asmoskon fired off two arrows from each crossbow sending them into the black smoke and then guiding them up into the sky. What might have come as a shock to everything present especially the individual who was now flying back up into the sky was that the smoke that had enclosed around them was now gone. Asmoskon’s arrows in the few mille moments that they had been traveling through the smoke had actually absorbed the smoke itself drawing it into them and taking the power. Now the arrows that had been crimson were pitch black and starting to spread the black smoke again only now soaring up into the sky where the smoke would no longer be a problem.

Moving his left arm upwards Asmoskon fires off three crimson arrows at the smoke again this time whoever was generating the smoke would find that thee arrows were going to absorb what he was creating and leave him exposed for the next shot. “I’ve just got to keep the smoke from being created for his reiatsu to be exposed. As soon as that’s done victory is assured.” Asmoskon couldn’t help, but think for a moment on whether or not Anarchy had survived that first attack. Yet that thought was only brief for of course that horrific creature survived. Asmoskon was going to be the one to end him no one else that was something the Emperor and Anarchy had in common. “Get going I can take down this bat no need to waste time.”

[Kento Waffles]

"We'll see you on the other side," Freddy said to Asmokon. He, Johnny, and Tyreese all went into the gate, and disappeared into it. It seemed that they were going off to Soul Society, which pretty much made a lot of sense, since that was where the mission would be. In the meantime, that left a showdown. Asmokon vs Marcus. What was happening then was Petrov and Jin vs Umagi and Asmokon vs Marcus. What was coming next, however, was even bigger. That was going to be Kento, Darnell, and Kagami against Masato Unova. A monstrous opponent who had once been one of the Five Prodigies.

If anyone had any sort of energy sensory, they would wonder why Masato's reiatsu didn't deplete when he attacked. Because he aimed his hand downward, and blasted forwards using propulsion from the redirection of his natural gravitational pressure being exerted. He just exerted it in one direction, backwards, and moved forwards. But no reiatsu was expended. Was this just a natural ability of his? It allowed him to blast forwards and enormous speed. At that point, his Fullbring active, Kento blasted forwards too, using The Force That Protects. But, as he aimed to punch Masato, Masato's force repulsed Kento. One might call it a Shinra Tensei.

Kento, blasted back, back flipped in the air, and landed on the ground with a skid and with a smile. "Well," he said, dusting himself off. "That's more than I expected." Kento's reiatsu started to outpour from his body. At the same time, Darnell pulled out one of his guns and prepared himself. But, neither of them moved. Why? Because Masato could repel things. It was a strange ability. They needed to find an opportunity to attack Masato. That was, until the ground beneath both Kento and Darnell, closest together, turned into quicksand, and they started to sink. A large black dome then formed over them.

This reiatsu... That was Ken. The guy from earlier who had left was now ambushing Kento and Darnell. Whatever happened inside of that dome, it didn't matter. Masato Unova and Kagami would be left alone to face off, unless of course Kagami tried to destroy the dome. But, would Masato let him? Additionally, more reiatsu was starting to form all around... They were being closed in on by other Soul Reapers. The reinforcements that had been called for were finally going to arrive. This was going to be a problem for Kagami, Kento, and Darnell. They were soon going to be completely surrounded.

Master, it’s working.

There was a hint of glee in the voice of the doll of heat as it barraged Umagi with that cyclone of heated air. The doll’s plan had been to suck Umagi’s gaseous form in with the cyclone. Umagi wouldn’t necessarily be hurt this way, but Umagi understood what would happen if he was sucked in by that cyclone. Thus, Hitze’s plan had worked. Hitze had been able to lure Umagi into reforming his original body by attacking that mist form of his. Now that Umagi’s actual body was reformed, Hitze could attack him with radiation and then finish him off with a bigger attack. Good job, Hitze. Now we can finish him off with Hitzewelle. That had been Jin’s plan as he lay in the dark shadows and waited while his doll attacked Umagi. That had been his plan until the large shadow suddenly formed over the area and his red glowing eyes within the shadow looked up and discovered the origin of that large shadow.

So that’s where you went, Petrov. And your timing couldn’t be more perfect… His partner in this battle, Petrov, had finally made his appearance since the car had exploded. He had begun to wonder just where the other Bount had run off to. It seemed he had been biding his time, waiting for the right moment to attack. Jin’s eyes opened wide in shock at what Petrov had just summoned. His doll was a monster. A giant, stone, monster, literally. He hadn’t realized that Petrov held this much power. He had never seen such a doll owned by any of the Bount he had encountered so far. Petrov, he realized, would make a formidable ally after this was over. But before he started making plans to recruit the fellow Bount, they had to win this battle.

It had been good that he chose to hide within the shadows while Hitze attacked. It had been good because Petrov’s doll made a powerful entrance. A huge fist slammed down on the area, destroying much of the ground it impacted and the buildings around. Had Jin been outside of the shadows, he would have been caught in Petrov’s attack as well. Petrov had taken advantage of Umagi’s corporeal form and delivered a powerful attack that had weakened the Shinigami from Tsunami. With the dust settling, Jin ordered his doll to find Umagi and to finish him off. He could still sense the man’s reiatsu, but with there being so much dust around and a chance that Umagi might take on his gaseous form again, Jin didn’t want to take a chance by leaving the shadows.

The doll of heat was essentially everywhere within that area where the fight took place. Since Hitze’s body was spread out among the area in order to increase the heat, it essentially meant that all three combatants were fighting within Hitze’s body. Thus, it was child’s play for the doll to locate Umagi, just from the heat signature he was giving off. The doll noted how slowly Umagi was moving and realized that Umagi may have been trying to escape. So, it went with the original plan Jin had had after they drew out Umagi’s true form. Master, I will finish him now. Forming before Umagi as he crawled towards the shadows, the doll of heat took on its yellow, gaseous humanoid form. Umagi would only see the doll’s true form for less than a second before a large tidal wave of what looked like orange mist rushed forward from the doll’s body. Given Hitze’s close range to Umagi, the tsunami of concentrated heat would wash over the man at point-blank range, turning what remained of his body and the streets and buildings around him to ash as it passed over him. There would be nothing left of the Shhinigami if he was caught in the field of concentrated heat. Nothing but ash, that is. He wouldn’t even be able to sacrifice any parts of his body given that Hitze intercepted him as he crawled towards the shadows. That was the end for Kenryoku’s Tsunami assassin.
