Arc 3: Canon KE-1 - Black Nine One Four [Complete]

When Umagi was finished, Petrov once again showed himself from the shadows, appearing as his doll disappeared. The giant shadow vanished into dust, and the cloud dissipated as the monstrosity vanished into nothingness and oblivion. What a way to go! Umagi had been massacred by the two Bount. It was sad, in a way. Tsunami had been the peak of the Kawada's new power. Led by the mighty Kenryoku, Tsunami had been meant to make the Kawada might last for generations. But then Kenryoku Kawada was killed in the War of Angels, and now the remnants of his mighty Tsunami were falling apart. Without his influence... It did not work.

Petrov approached Jin, a haunting white specter with sunken eyes and cold, thinned lips. Most Bount were comparable to vampires, and in fact it was off of them that legends of vampires had emerged. This truth was self evident in Petrov, whose qualities were clearly those of a vampire, appearing a dark lord with everything that would be desired in an ally by the Bount Leader. "Impressive," Petrov said to Jin, though if he knew the true identity behind the man named Anarchy, he made no indication of such knowledge. It just seemed as if Petrov recognized that while Jin was a Bount, he didn't know exactly which Bount.

"I believe that we should be joining the others, now," Petrov said. So, he started looking around. They weren't going to walk there. That was way too far. It would be better to just steal a car or something, if either one of them knew how to do that. Actually, it turns out, Petrov did. He quickly busted into a car window, opened the door, and hot wired the car, before getting in and beckoning Jin in. In their little Honda Civic, Petrov started driving them toward the destination. It was a short car ride, but just enough that Jin might get a chance to strike up conversation if he wanted to.

Meanwhile, Kagami, Darnell, and Kento had become fully surrounded by dozens of Soul Reapers. Literal dozens. Obviously, with this many reinforcements, it was unlikely that they would be able to escape unscathed. There was no way, with so many enemies. Where had they all come from? Normally, Seireitei couldn't spare the expense of literally this many foes. It showed just how committed they were to stopping this operation. It was, after all, true that it was a pretty dire, pretty important operation for these criminals, and that stopping it would also be of great success to the Soul Reapers.

"Hm..." Kento said as he was surrounded, separately from Darnell surrounded, separately from Kagami surrounded. "It appears as if we're trapped." Kento didn't seem particularly troubled by this. Well, when you're Xcution's number one man and super strong like that, it's probably not that troubling to be surrounded. Kento had probably been surrounded on way more than one occasion. Kento suddenly disappeared, and with his incredible speed, next thing, he splattered someone. One of the Soul Reapers splattered into blood and guts, causing all of the others to be surprised. When Kento next appeared, he had a thin smile, and was reaching for yet another Soul Reaper.

Kagami detected the soul reapers that began to surround him long before they appeared, and he was ready. Offense was not they way to go, for he couldn’t do a massive amount of damage without revealing his true identity. His mirrors were too characteristic of the famous Vice Captain, the man who no longer existed. The best plan was to remember the task at hand and progress toward the designated meeting location. Kagami used Hado #41 once again to create a pillar right below him. This pillar launched him at an angle into the air toward the direction that Kento was driving. However, right before he lost contact with the pillar, he pushed off with his right foot to Shunpo into the sky. He was thrown far out of site incredibly quickly, easily losing any potential pursuers. Right when he hit his peak and lost upward moment, he would create a layer of air ground right below his feet. And to make sure he didn’t eat shit from that ridiculous moment, a layer of air below his feet formed thanks to Shunkashou, letting him glide on the air ground until he settled down to a speed of 1000. He was then able to end Shunkashou and come to a stop in a few seconds. It was all a matter of waiting for Kento and Darnell to make their way over and lead him to the meeting place.

Marcus was surprised to find that this mysterious man contained bolts that were capable of collecting his smoke and releasing it into the night sky. However, the man underestimated Marcus. Bolts were ineffective for dealing with the Shadow of Uzaki Enterprise. Even with the smoke absorbed, it would reform incredibly quickly. Right when Asmo’s arrows locked on Marcus after being released, smoke had already engulfed him to hide his reiatsu signature. Dodging would be a simple matter, but that was too simple. Marcus had a chance to do far more than dodge.

Marcus’s wings suddenly wrapped around him in a spiral, his right wing going upwards to cover his head while his left protected his lower body. The arrows would harmlessly collide with the metal, but the clank of the collision wouldn’t be heard. The smoke absorbed the sound. Instead, the bolts would drop harmlessly to the ground. And Marcus wasn’t done yet. His wings extended completely, though by now, the smoke had expanded to cover them. The expanded wings beat forward and backward with Marcus’s incredible strength and speed behind them. He only beat his wings twice to avoid making himself a sitting duck, but in doing so, he had spread a thin layer of smoke all around Asmokon. The Quincy would find himself surrounded by smoke, blind, and deaf. Marcus could have attacked, but he was going to wait with his wings fully extended, prepared to take off. After all, he was just stalling for time.

OOC: So, that means Asmo is now up. After him will be me. For the next month, I'll be using Jin as an NPC while Jazz is out of the country.

Asmoskon fired off the arrows and watched as they all collected up the black smoke that was around him. This meant that the smoke while it was being created by whoever he was facing would more the likely still pose some type of problem it could be dealt with rather easily. As the arrows arced and flew upwards into the sky Asmoskon saw the outline of the individual and came to the conclusion based on the body build and height that it was a male. As he fired off the next round of arrows Asmoskon saw that the smoke had already began to generate off of the man once again hiding his form. This meant that actually getting a lock on his reiatsu wasn't going to be easy yet it still was no where near impossible.

It was then that Asmoskon watched his arrows fly into the new smoke. What he saw though was a set of metal wings wrapped around the man now. His arrows hit the wings and Asmoskon saw that there was no real damage done to them which only meant that whoever this guy was his strength was near that of his own. His arrows had absorbed some of the smoke that started to spread out until they fell down so he was able to watch for a brief moment as the wings extended and the man began to flap them sending out more smoke all around them. Asmoskon had seen enough he wasn't going to sit still and play games.

By the time the man had flapped his wings the second time all of a sudden a thick black chain with large sharp spikes on the sides flew out from the smoke right towards him. The chain had a spear like head and it was aimed right for his chest. The man wouldn't have heard the sound of the chain coming towards him or even see it until it was little more then five feet away due to him surrounding Asmoskon in his smoke. Now though the smoke suddenly was vanishing again as there were three arrows shot into the ground which were absorbing the smoke.

It was meaningless though This man was only going to see the black chain coming towards his chest. Just as it was though Asmoskon would suddenly appear ten feet to the left slightly behind where the man's right arm would be. Asmoskon had seen his wings and felt that the distance he was right now gave him enough room that if the man was fast enough to evade and extend his wing outwards he wouldn't be able to hit him. As he appeared the crossbow in his left hand would reveal the black chain rushing towards the man's chest was connected to it. The crossbow in his right hand though was held right towards him as another black chain was fired out moving at a speed that many wouldn't believe Asmoskon could achieve. This second chain was aimed to strike through the man's wings Asmoskon was going to end this now while he had the chance by utilizing Willpower and clipping the wings off the raven.

(OCC: The last black chain fired is increased in speed by 3x. This means that it's moving towards you from ten feet away at a speed of 2400.)

Item Description: This small, black bracelet is typically worn around the wrist one of the user’s hands, the one they use to draw back a bowstring. Although technically it can be used by any race, this item is mostly useful for Quincies, as it allows them to fire individual arrows at a significantly heightened speed. For 75 Reitsu, the Quincy can increase the speed of one arrow they fire this post by a flat 200. This ability can be used a maximum of three times per post, and cannot be used on the same arrow. Having picked up Kagami in the offscreen moments in between posts, Kento and Darnell had also successfully escaped the barrage of Soul Reapers. In the distance, for a few seconds, they might even be able to hear the scrambling and yelling of those incompetent Soul Reapers. Unfortunately, patrol reapers just weren't all that great. You'd expect them to be the best of the best, and they used to be, but ever since the Central 46 voted some kind of minimum wage in, Squad 8 had decided under Rave Haretsu that it would be cheaper to send in these little grunts who didn't get paid as much as proper seated officers. Therefore, incompetence especially in large numbers! Maybe someone would eventually fix that. Eventually.

So, that being totally said, Kento drove up with a screeching halt onto the dock area, having gunned it at tremendous speed. He had a huge smirk on his face, probably from driving so quickly, and the car left black tire treading marks on the ground. Arriving, Kento and Darnell hopped out of the car, and popped open the trunk. Up in the air, there was an aerial battle taking place between Marcus and Asmokon. Kento looked up at them, as did Darnell. "Asmokon is taking care of it!" Kento decided, showing confidence then and there that he believed that Asmokon was strong enough to defeat Marcus. Good thing, too. Whether or not it was true, a 4 on 1 would screw Marcus over.

"FIELD TRIP, OG LUSH!" Darnell exclaimed, patting Kagami roughly on the back just as the trunk popped. Inside? Every single Walking Dead fanboy's wet dream. Guns. Everywhere. Kento stuck two uzis onto his back, got a revolver onto his side, a small handgun Beretta .22 into his hidden suit pocket on the interior of the vest, and a few glock 31 .sigs for his belt. Darnell, on the other hand, loaded an RPG onto his back, and a number of Glock 17 semi automatic pistols, plus some ammo. Kagami would see that there was pretty much any gun he could think of from Call of Duty, so he could take whichever gun he pleased. Kento, Darnell, and Kagami would each also take a little opaque plastic bag into their pockets, presumably carrying drugs to be distributed.

Then, head first! Into the portal! They'd wait for Asmokon to join them after. Or, wait to demolish Marcus in the event he beat Asmokon and went in first. Through the gate, they didn't encounter "the cleaner," because their contact had deactivated it for them. Arriving out the other end, they would deposit just above the Seireitei, and realize there was no air ground. While they would surely plummet, some basic manipulation of the air using Fullbring would allow both Kento and Darnell to ease themselves down and land gracefully. Already, they were in the middle of the fray when they came down, too.

There were huge explosions occurring about half a mile from them, indicating battle had commenced. "That must be Freddy fighting," Kento said, indicating that those explosions might be Freddy's ability. "BIG BANG BERTA!" Darnell exclaimed. "HAHA! Dat mothafucka n' his bigass explosions. Freddy is in cruise control. You hear me? Cruise control." You could basically see the cool sunglasses emoji on Darnell as he spoke of Freddy. Headed forward, Darnell and Kento moved, indicating Kagami should follow. "We're headed for the Senzaikyu," Kento said, indicating the tall white tower in the center of the Seireitei.

Senzaikyu? Kagami knew where that was. You know. Being a Soul Reaper and all. But also, it was in the dark dungeons beneath, even lower underground than the Maggot's Nest, that someone Kagami knew resided... Saeki Kuchiki. He had already been down there, and already encountered her. And one could only wonder just why they would head there, considering there was some sort of monster down under there. But, as it was, the Seireitei's alarms were blaring, and Soul Reapers all over the place were assembling. "Eyo! Kento, there any trap lords in dis house?!" Darnell asked. Yeah. That's right. Seireitei had trap houses.

"If you mean Captains, then information indicates yes," Kento replied coolly."Normally Captains are conveniently absent when these things happen, as if it's necessary to advance plot, but today I believe at least the Captain Commander himself and Captain of Squad 6 should be here, with a few others." Oh, great. So the strongest Captains. That was definitely something of a letdown. If they weren't careful, they'd get skewered by Sozen Kuchiki. Or someone else. Then again, their heavy hitter Bount hadn't joined them yet, either. Jin and Petrov were on their way as well, but still had a ways to go. They'd probably arrive at some point in a few posts.

Kento and Darnell had gotten away from the Shinigami and met up with Kagami. He was quick to hop into the car with them and relax as they cruised down the highway to hell. After all, where else could they be going if Kento Sasaki was at the wheel and Darnell was with them as well. This definitely wasn’t God’s One-Way Express to Heaven or something like that. Business was going to get serious very soon, and the question of whether they could hold out was still in the air.

Kagami detected the two reiatsu signatures before the dock was even in sight. It seemed like Asmokon was having a little trouble with one of the humans that attempted to counter the criminals. However, Asmokon had one advantage: the human was all alone. He had no back up, since all of his allies had either been eliminated or left in the dust. It would be easier for the three new arrivals to go take out the last of their opposition in the human world. However, Kagami didn’t believe that was necessary when he could instead evaluate the strength of Hotaru’s love. He would have to be strong enough to defend both his woman and himself.

If Marcus ever overwhelmed Asmo, Kagami wanted to be there to help the Quincy so that Hotaru wouldn’t have to experience the pain of losing someone dear to you. At least not someone as important to her as Asmo. But it seemed that Kento had other plans. They had to get through that portal and continue with the mission. ‘OG Lush’ followed Darnell to the trunk of the car where he found several strange weapons laid out. Kagami grabbed three grenades, two m1911 pistols, and two flashbangs. The rest were too big for him to fight effectively with. To make sure he didn’t run out of ammunition, Kagami grabbed six magazines of ammunition for his pistols.

When they walked through the portal, the trio found themselves in the midst of a battle in the heart of Seireitei. Kagami’s black sword was at the ready just incase any unfortunate Soul Reapers came this way. He knew Seireitei front and back, and but he wouldn’t let his knowledge of the area show. After all, as far as anyone knew, he was just a masked man in the wrong sort of business.

Freddy must be incredibly powerful if he was behind those huge explosions that echoed between the walls of Seireitei. However, he was going to meet his match soon. The Captain Commander alone was unparalleled in strength, and Sozen Kuchiki could only be countered by the likes of Adalo De Mona or Kuroi Naito. Senzaikyu would undoubtedly be protected by one of them. It would be wiser to wait for Asmokon and the Bounts, but Kento Sasaki was confident – even arrogant in his ability to handle them. But maybe with Kagaimi and the Bount, Sozen could be handled. That leaves Freddy to take on the Captain Commander. The invasion was doomed to fail if they had to confront those two giants. But it meant that the thing Freddy was after was extremely important and worth initiating head on conflict. Who could be so valuable in the prison other than… Saeki Kuchiki.

Asmokon was under the misconception that Marcus’s fog could be used as a tool against the fullbringer to bring it down. He was mistaken, however, for nothing even made contact with Marcus’ mist without him knowing. If he blocked his own sensory ability, his release would make him largely a sitting duck, but the man was no such thing. The Shadow of Uzaki Enterprise – the man who struck so quickly that few have ever even seen his silhouette – would not be an easy opponent for the Black Archer.

The fog would completely surround and engulf Asmokon as he fired the chain, warning Marcus of the incoming attack while blocking Asmo’s ability to see, hear, and detect reiatsu. In addition, Marcus didn’t have to make much of an effort to block the spear chain. After all, with the flapping motion of his wings complete, the metallic wings were already blocking his torso. The chain would bounce off of the steel feathers and fall to the ground.

Furthermore, Asmokon had made another mistake. He underestimated the rate at which the fog multiplied. Marcus felt his Shunpo through the fog and knew exactly which direction he was traveling. Asmokon ended ten feet away from Marcus, but the fog had already spread twenty meters in ever direction from the Fullbringer. Sure, the arrows at the ground absorbed some that spread too far, but they didn’t cover the vast majority of the mist. Asmokon had transported himself right into the heart of the black cloud.

He had committed to shooting another chain at Marcus, but the Fullbringer had a counter. After all, his metallic wings were clearly durable enough to take those bolts from Asmokon’s crossbow. This time, he was going to counter attack rather than stall for time and wait for allies. He had the Quincy right where he wanted him. As Asmokon shot the chain from Marcus’s left, Marcus had used Bringer Light to ram into Asmokon head on. It was a bold move, but his wings came from his back and had wrapped around his left side as he flapped them. The wings shield him from the bolt and knocked the chain away, leaving Asmokon to feel the brunt force of metal crashing into him at a speed of 7,000.

OOC Disclaimer: All RPCs I utilize as NPCs in my post, I have obtained permission for from their respective owners. Also, there is 0% chance that any of these RPCs will die. Just heads up. They CAN be defeated, but I will plotkai them out of any possible way of dying. ...On the other hand, there is a chance they will kill you guys, the players. So, careful. Don't underestimate them. They're strong.

BADAGABOOSHGABADABABOOOOMMMMM!!!!! That very unrealistic explosion sound didn't come from Freddy. It wasn't short, and deafening, so much as it was a long, drawn out crash. Rather, it wasn't really an explosion at all, but a torrential flood of reiatsu washing over the area and obliterating many things. Someone wasn't afraid to cause collateral damage in the area when trying to find their target. And, well, why should they? Even without Okusa Shogen, when Squad 10 got drunk, which was often, they were efficient at repairing damaged buildings. This worked out just fine. But that still begged the question of what up. That blast was near Kagami, Darnell, and Kento, as they approached the Senzaikyu.

And then, there it was again. BADAGABOOSHGABADABABOOOOMMMMM!!!!! Except this time they knew what it was. Tall, but extremely skinny, with a stubbly rat face and a big lanky nose, there was the guy they probably didn't want to see. The reiatsu pulsing from his body was, to say the very, very, VERY least, enormous. But that wasn't all. Though it had been his sword which created literal tidal waves of reiatsu to obliterate the buildings around them and clear some space up, his main attribute was clearly physical strength, evident in how each step he took literally shook the ground even though he wasn't big, merely tall.

"Captain of Squad 3..." Kento said, having, unlike previous invaders, taken the time to research each and every one of the Captains thoroughly. You know, because fuck stupid plot holes. "Alexander Kuma-Hebi." The air around Alexander smelled of salt, and his reiatsu was so powerful that it flowed outward from his body, manifesting in the appearance of brief sparks of electricity. Was it electricity? No. But this was a property of powerful, overwhelming reiatsu. It could take the physical appearance of powerful stuff. Like electricity. So, this was a Captain. In white Haori and all. Probably the last thing they wanted to see.

"Pffft, I got dis. Scrawny mofu ain't no numbah twenty three," Darnell said, stepping forward and aiming a bigass rocket launcher at the Squad 3 Captain. Alexander didn't even budge. Instead, he grinned, and spoke. "Give me your BEST. FUCKING. SHOT. CUNT." Darnell fired off the rocket, which headed with great speed right at Alexander's face. But the Squad 3 Captain didn't even blink. He just stomped as the trigger was pulled. Stomped really really hard. With such enormous force that a huge shockwaves blew outward from his position the instant that the rocket fired out. By the time it reached him, the shockwave had cut into it, severed it in two, and forced a large explosion which just barely failed to reach him.

In the meantime, Darnell, who had taken a few steps forward to get closer to Alexander, would be the first hit by the shockwave. To his credit, he produced some sort of manipulation of the air using natural Fullbring to reduce the impact. But, Darnell was regardless sent flying. One could hear, as he flew away to god knows where, him screaming, "I LOVE YOU KENDALL!!!! WAIT FOR ME, BABY!" Kendall Jenner maybe? A crash that sounded far away indicated that Darnell had probably landed quite a distance away, and might likely be highly injured. In that state, he'd probably be captured. One hit from Alexander, and they were down one.

"I hope you're up to this," Kento said with a smile to Kagami. "The Senzaikyu is close. If we're to rendezvous with Freddy, we'll have to get past this guy..." Get past Alexander Kuma-Hebi? That might be a lot more difficult than how Kento made it sound. This guy was a Captain. A damn powerful Captain at that. And the worst part was that he wasn't even the only Captain in the Seireitei at that time. They still had plenty to worry about if they were going to fight their way to the Senzaikyu. Matter of fact, another huge reiatsu was appearing right then and there, as they spoke....

This one came from an unusually tall young woman in a huge, black coat, and a white Haori draped over all of that. She was barely visible but for her blonde hair and her intense gaze. She was more coat than human, really. 90% coat, at least. But... her reiatsu was even more potent than Alexander's, and her entrance came announced with a big Sokkatsui which Kento barely noticed in time to block by a quick release of his Fullbring. She was coming from behind, which forced Kento to go back to back with Kagami, taking that back to back position wherein Kento faced the newcomer, and Kagami faced Alexander.

"Captain of Squad 8, Taiho Kasumi'Oji..." Kento identified. He clearly didn't know that Kagami already knew who both of those Captains were. After all, they were Kagami's fellow Captains. Come to think of it, he had best be careful on what he used, lest either of them recognize him. "Kento Sasaki," Taiho identified. "I've read about you. At the very least, I've discerned you're boring. A textbook stereotype. I won't waste my time on you for long." Now, here was the eternal dilemma. Kento was strong, but not two Captains strong. Depending on which Captain, Kento might not even be one Captain strong.

So, keeping that in mind, could Kento and Kagami do it? After all, Taiho was easily more powerful than full power Kagami, and this was holding back Kagami against Taiho AND Alexander. The teamwork had better be good. Or Taiho and Alexander, two of the most brutally aggressive of the Captains in the Thirteen Court Guard Squads, were going to slaughter Kagami and Kento. Or, at least, the two could try and run away. Or find some excuse to convince the other two to just capture them instead of massacre them. Kento exhaled. This was obviously going to be a very long piece of combat.

Well it seemed that the Fullbringer that was faced off against Asmoskon believed his power couldn't be used against him. He was mistaken dearly mistaken. The fog that was around him that had been left behind when the man had flown by was being gathered up into the arrows Asmoskon had just fired into the ground. The Fullbringer wouldn't have been able to tell this though due to the fact that by the time the arrows actually moved through the air and hit the pavement embedding themselves into it they were already pitch black and emanating the block fog themselves. This black fog was the same as what the Fullbringer generated yet it was not his own the arrows had stolen his power and were now against him. The block fog was being generated by both the fog the man had left and the arrows Asmoskon had around him. This new fog made sensing Asmoskon and hearing what he was doing impossible for the Fullbringer.

The Fullbringer was correct though about one thing the first chain that Asmoskon had fired out from the black fog had clashed with his metallic wings. Both of them smashed together and it was only due to the durability of the wings that the chain felt downwards without making much of a impact on the wings themselves. However, that was not the main ability of the chain and the Fullbringer would suddenly feel as if a part of him had been sucked away. In fact some of the reiatsu that the Fullbringer possessed had been absorbed in that single moment of contact and was now one with Asmoskon.

The Black Archer utilizing Hirenkyaku stepped in the same distance he had planned to the Fullbringer. Being ten feet away and behind the left arm of the man Asmoskon took aim and fired off the black chain from the right crossbow. This Fullbringer had made a very fatal fail though in believing that Asmoskon was incapable of shooting through his wings. Now with Willpower activated this chain fired off and the Fullbringer moved towards him wrapping his wings around himself for defense. He would find though that due to the speed he moved at Asmoskon with and the speed that the chain itself moved at the chain would break through his wings and stab into his stomach ending their little battle.

Kagami was in a difficult situation. Taiho and Alexander were two of the strongest Captains, and he would have to push himself and use his release to the fullest just to give them a hard time. Now, however, he had to keep his identity a secret. If he was ever going to be discovered for who he was- who he used to be, Kagami Murai, it would be during this battle. However, he had no intention of allowing that to occur.

And so Kagami had to use his head for this fight. It was easy to dominate a fight with his mirrors, especially considering how strategically brilliant he is considered to be. However, a general is only truly tested when he has to fight an uphill battle. His army consisted of himself and a mysterious man who’s abilities he didn’t understand. His opponents were two of the most powerful forces Soul Society has to offer. Let the test begin.

And so Kagami began his solo attack. He had picked a target, who just happened to be the most cunning of the two. Taiho wasn’t going to be an easy fight, but that wasn’t what Kagami expected anyway. The first step was isolating Alexander Kuma-Hebi. Kagami summoned three mirrors which were all linked so that they are invisible to all the senses. Even energy sensory would pass right through it, though Taiho would still be able to identify some sort of spiritual activity where they were created. The mirrors formed a triangle around Alexander Kuma-Hebi. Kagami allowed everything to pass through the mirrors, so no attack can be stopped by them or break the glass.

And so with his acute energy sensory, Kagami would be keeping tabs on Alexander Kuma-Hebi. The instant the Kenpachi’s reiatsu spiked for a step technique, or the millisecond that he began to move, Kagami would be ready. He wouldn’t be aware of the presence of the mirrors, so walking right through them would be easy. And the second that he passed through one, while he was still moving through it, a jade blade would suddenly appear in his body from the mirror. The target was his lungs. If a hole was punctured, then he would be out of the fight and that left one more Captain. And if Alex tried to use a step technique, allowing him to move too quickly for Kagami to accurate target a lung from within his body, the former Vice Captain would allow only the first inch of his blade to stand in Alexander’s path, forcing him to essential dart through the tip of the sword and spear himself in the lung.

So just when Kagami set his trap, he decided to give Taiho a bit of trouble. Kagami kept his voice unnaturally deep and rough to make sure none of the Captains would ever recognize him in the future. He spoke in a hushed whisper, and the only one with senses keen enough to pick out the words would be Xcutions #1 man. “Kento Sasaki, focus on Taiho Kasumi’Oji for the time being. But first, close your eyes for a second.” The instant the final word left his mouth…

FLASH!

A ridiculously bright light blinded anyone looking remotely in Kagami’s direction, even if he was in their peripheral vision. In that one second of blindness, he took action. Two pillars of stone shot out of the ground, each moving at a speed of 500. They targeted each Captain from the front, making them relatively easy dodges if anticipated. However, since the captain’s vision was suddenly overwhelmed, Taiho would have the advantage of energy sensory while Alexander would be caught off-guard. Kagami was making an opening for Sasaki, analyzing both enemies, and cornering Alexander into his trap all in one move. It was a game of chess, and he had begun with several moves at once. So how would his opponent react in this mental war?

Marcus Cole had made a mistake. He believed in his power and became arrogant and reckless. This cost him dearly. His wings were not as invincible as he had hoped, and because he couldn’t detect Asmokon’s Willpower, he couldn’t have expected the other man’s sudden spike of power. As he burst toward Asmokon with incredible speed, the spear punctured his wing and planted itself into his rib. His lung had been pierced and he was gravely injured. However, the force wasn’t enough to slow his momentum, so he rammed right into Asmokon, undoubtedly breaking the other man’s body and throwing it like a rag-doll into the distance.

Asmokon would fly, but in his fleeting moments of consciousness, Marcus would know where Asmokon was. After all, his black smoke had stuck to the man’s clothing and kept multiplying. When Asmokon finally came to a stop somewhere in the distance, the smoke will cover his body in just a couple of seconds. With the last of his energy, Marcus went into Level 2 of his fullbring, something he hadn’t needed to do in a combat situation until that moment right then and there.

Marcus used the property Black Steel, allowing him to harden his smoke into metal. Asmo would suddenly be immobilized by dark steel that locked his body in place. It was nearly skin tight and didn’t allow him to move. Marcus also created another piece of metal, this time around his lungs and body. It closed his wound and slowed the bleeding significantly, allowing him to stay conscious for as long as possible. If he didn’t pass out, then the Quincy wouldn’t be allowed to escape. Asmokon wouldn’t even have the option of grabbing an arrow to absorb the smoke before it locks him in place, since he would be suffering heavy internal bleeding and broken bones after facing the full damage from Marcus’s collision.

And so, before staying still to conserve his energy, Marcus reached down to his right pocked and tapped a button on his UE communicator. It was a distress signal, and if Yoko and Darnell somehow weren’t alright, a rescue party would come get them. Until then, Marcus’s body would stay limp on the ground by the dock, shrouded by his fog. The portal leading to Soul Society would be completely hidden by the smoke in a minute, so if Jin and Petrov didn’t hurry, they may never reach the real fight.
