A Hollow Near The Home (Training/Vesta and Tsukuyomi)

[Vesta Zweig]

Vesta had just returned home from school. She was a little tired, but learning was a tiring experience. She unlocked her front door and called out to her father. He didn't answer her, but she looked all around the house anyway. She didn't see him, so she assumed that he was still at work. It didn't make too much of a difference to her. She ran back downstairs and put her bag on the dining room table. She went to the fridge, grabbed a juice and yogurt and started to get to work.

After what seemed like an eternity, she had finally finished her homework. She threw away her empty yogurt cup and juice container. She took a nice big stretch. She was now going to give herself a little break. Working on her homework always made her eyes hurt, so she figured now would be a good time to head out near her house, exploring nature. Since her father worked odd hours, she went ahead and wrote out a note for him, explaining what she was doing.

She wasn't going to venture too far from home, but that she had her phone with her in case something happened and she would take her drink with her as well. He still never told her what this drink was, only that she needed to drink it everyday. She ate other foods, like the yogurt and juice, but her father told her that she had to drink this specific drink everyday when she felt thirsty. He said that eventually, he would tell her everything, but what she knew now was good.

So, she didn't question him. He was her father. So, she left her note on the kitchen table, grabbed her drink and phone, and headed out the door. Once she locked the door behind her, she started to walk off towards the trees that were near her house. Her father was lucky and found a house near the parks and forests of Karakura. Since she loved nature so much, it was the ideal place for her to be. So, she walked to the closest tree and just sat under it, staring up through the leaf canopy to the sky above. 

It was peaceful here. She would ask her father about how it was like at the place they lived at before. He wouldn't really talk about Germany, but she thought it was cool that she lived in a different country before coming here. She took deep breaths and enjoyed being outside near nature. Now, her mind was wandering back to the shinigami she had met. Kisala seemed nice enough, but she kept thinking back to Tsukuyomi. She didn't know why either.

It was then that she heard something. She perked up and looked around. She didn't see anything immediately, so she thought she was just hearing things. But, she just couldn't relax. She tried, but there was still something that bothered her about the noise. So, she decided to get up from the tree and actually walk around. It was then that she saw something. It looked like another one of those hollow beasts and it was only a few feet away from her, maybe ten at the most. 

Her eyesight must be pretty bad to not see it until now. She gripped her locket tightly, ready to call on Zorn when she needed to. At first, the hollow was just sniffing around and Vesta slowly made her way towards a tree for cover. After a few seconds, she assumed it caught her scent and started looking around for her. She was now behind a tree and holding her locket in her hand. She then called out, "Ziege Dich, Zorn!" She dropped her locket.

She hoped that it would fall faster, but she couldn't speed up gravity. She then looked around for anything to throw at this thing. She really needed to learn some kind of combat. She reached some rocks by the time her doll was half formed. Once Zorn was fully formed, the hollow had spotted her and was running their way. Zorn looked to her and looked to the hollow and nodded, running at the hollow full force, roaring at it before attacking it full force.

Tsukuyomi had once again been put on the routine duty of surveillance throughout the human world. It was still rather odd being in this reality due to the fact that when he was and h actually took the time to think about it he wasn't able to come to the conclusion if he was alive or if he was dead. How could he possibly have been born dead though. It made no sense in reality to have such a thing occur yet there was little to say different since he was the son of a Shinigami.

He had been walking around the area for awhile and figured that he was in a forest like area that he hadn't been in as of yet. It was rather soothing to be in this kind of place for a short amount of time. All he could hear was the sound of the night creatures living their lives peacefully. It was interesting when he would hear the sounds of animals that he already knew that lived in Soul Society as well. Then he heard something that was definitely not suppose to be in this type of area.

Tsukuyomi could smell something familiar though also it was faint yet his nose picked it up and after a few moments he realized who the scent belonged too. "Damn it. You better keep up this time." Tsukuyomi rushed through the woods until he got near the location of the hollow and Vesta. On his way there he heard Vesta's voice say something in a strange language and then the sound of another creature along with a strange scent.

It was as if something else entirely was now in the area and Tsukuyomi wasn't even sure how that was possible. Could his senses be lying to him right now? That was when he heard the sound of a loud roar and knew that whatever had just arrived in the area was definitely real. So he rushed over there and then arrived next to Vesta. "Well seems your in need of me again." Tsukuyomi then drew his zanpakuto and stood near the girl ready for whatever the hollow did next.

Vesta was watching Zorn with interest, trying to find anything around her that she could use to help Zorn fight off the hollows. She found a few more rocks around and started to grab them. She was still near her house, so she could run in and try to get a weapon, but she didn't want to leave Zorn by himself. She knew that he could take care of himself, but she didn't want to risk it. She didn't want Zorn to get hurt too badly. It was then that she thought that she heard something. She looked around quickly and didn't see anything.

She started to throw a few rocks towards the hollow. It was then that she thought she saw someone. It was then that she looked towards her right and saw that Tsukuyomi was there, right by her side. She looked and almost did a double take. How in the hell did he do that?! She would definitely need to ask him about that later. Right now, they needed to deal with a hollow. He said that it seemed like she was in need of him again. Wow, he was arrogant. She had no idea how he could be so arrogant, but whatever fit him she guessed.

She then noticed that he had a blade this time. She looked at it and was curious how in the hell he was able to get a sword so quickly. Or, maybe it wasn't that quickly for them. She would need to ask about that too. Once he drew the sword, she had to admit that it looked pretty. Tsukuyomi was distracting enough that Zorn jumped off the hollow and ran back towards them. He growled low and drew Vesta back to the matter at hand. She looked towards the hollow and noticed that he was able to wound the hollow enough to maybe slow it down.

Zorn looked towards the new arrival. "Hello, Tsukuyomi. I am Zorn, Vesta's doll. Now, this hollow appeared out of nowhere and I am trying my best to fend it off. With your new weapon, I am going to need your help. I do not think I have enough power right now to defeat it on my own. You should make good use of the sword and help me slay the beast." With that, Zorn ran off again towards the hollow, slashing at its legs before jumping up on its back and clawing at it. Vesta looked towards Tsukuyomi. "Well, you heard my doll. Get to it!"

Well it was definitely the same girl as last time that he encountered the one with the fiery temper that had thrown rocks against a hollow that was attacking her. Tsukuyomi already pretty much knew it was Vesta by one hundred percent, but now it was like three hundred percent positive due to her voice along with her smell. There was no doubt at all that it was her that was standing next to him now. Tsukuyomi couldn't help, but wonder just exactly she looked like although that was the same as everything since he was blind.

That was when he heard the growling again and the sound of four different feet on the ground moving towards them. Tsukuyomi wasn't exactly sure if it was a foe or something helping Vesta. Just to make sure Tsukuyomi immediately draw his zanpakuto his right hand's grip tightening around the hilt of his apparent black cane. Then with his left hand grasping lower on it Tsukuyomi pulled up with his right and back towards him with his left which drew out the blade.

That was then he released that the creature near him was the source of this strange scent. It wasn't like anything he had ever smelt in the past and it seemed to be more then just one scent. It filled his nostrils and was actually quite potent and unpleasant. That was when the creature spoke to him and exampled that it was Vesta's doll. "What the hell is a doll?" Tsukuyomi had no knowledge of anything by that name he only knew that Vesta was something called a Bount.

"How does this thing know my name?" Tsukuyomi was questioning everything that he heard, but knew that there was indeed a hollow and this creature said it was unsure if it could handle it by itself. It asked for his aid in defeating the thing and Tsukuyomi although unsure about everything knew that the hollow must be dealt abolished. So as Vesta spoke Tsukuyomi rushed forwards and attempted to slash at the hollow from what he could tell he was aiming for the front leg of the beast.

Vesta had noticed the look on Tsukuyomi's face when Zorn had approached them. It was true that Zorn was definitely different, even now she hadn't gotten completely used to the fact that she had him. He was a great strength and agility. He was a hug asset to her, especially since she still didn't know how to actually fight. But, she did help as much as she could. Even if it didn't seem like much, she felt better at least trying to help her doll out in any way, shape or form. But, she could see the confusion on his face.

It seemed like he had no idea what to make of Zorn. It had to be even more confusing, since he couldn't actually see what Zorn looked like, he could only base things off what he could smell and hear. She saw how the sheathe of the blade looked almost like a cane, which she was sure came in handy for him. It seemed that after this fight was over, she was going to have to explain a lot of things to him. She saw the weird look on his face when Zorn spoke his name. She was sure that he had no idea how he would know her name.

He didn't know that Zorn knew everything that she did, which made sense for him to know Tsukuyomi's name. When she watched him run headlong towards the hollow, she was still impressed that he was able to fight so well without being able to see. She definitely needed to have him help train her, so she knew how to take care of herself without Zorn and at least to help him fight when she did need his strength. But, she didn't need to think about that right now. She needed to worry about the hollow. Zorn was able to jump back on the hollow, but the hollow noticed that Tsukuyomi was heading towards it. It swiped out its front leg at him, trying to slice him with its claws.

Tsukuyomi listened to everything going on around him and could tell that the doll whatever form it actually took was gaining a leverage against this hollow. Tsukuyomi knew that this was the time to strike and take the monster down before anything could be destroyed. He wouldn't want any of the trees in this forest or any of the animals to die nature was to precious to allow some monster to turn it into a ruined area. Well that and in the back of his mind he had to make sure that Vesta wouldn't get hurt also he couldn't trust that this doll would be able to take down the hollow especially considering that it had admitted it might not be able to do it alone.

So now as he reached the beast and was about to slash out at the throat in an attempt to end it quickly he heard movement coming towards him though and he stopped then back stepped slightly. The arm of the hollow moved in front of him and Tsukuyomi brought his zanpakuto upwards causing the hand of the creature to separate from the rest of its body. Blood sprayed out from the wound around Tsukuyomi as the hand fell to the ground and then began to vanish.

The hollow roared and then a tail seemed to swing up from behind it. Tsukuyomi was unable to tell what was going on for the tail wasn't coming for him. It wrapped around the throat of Zorn and pulled him from the back of the hollow. Zorn would then be thrown at the ground as Tsukuyomi rushed the hollow again. This time instead of slashing out at Tsukuyomi the beast leaped backwards and suddenly a red orb of reiatsu was fired off from it's mouth.

Tsukuyomi heard some kind of sound yet had no idea what it was. He assumed that the doll was doing something and instead of moving listened for a moment to get the precise location of the hollow. That was a huge mistake though. In the next moment Tsukuyomi screamed out in pain as he fell to the ground after having the bala strike him dead center in the chest. His uniform was burned through and the skin on his chest was now dark brown. Tsukuyomi lay on the ground in intense pain as the hollow rushed over towards him ready to finish him off.

Vesta watched was unfolding. So far, it looked like the fight was going well. Tsukuyomi ran in and was helping her doll fight off the hollow. She had her rocks ready, just in case she needed to bean the hollow in the face. She saw him able to cut off the hollow's hand, which was good, but it didn't seem to deter the hollow any. It was then that she saw the tail coming for Zorn. She was worried and right before she was able to yell out and warn Zorn, the tail got Zorn from behind, grabbing him by the throat and throwing him off.

She wanted to run towards Zorn and she started to make a few steps towards him, but that's when she saw that Zorn was able to land on his feet. He was a cat after all. He glared at her and then ran at the hollow again. Obviously, he didn't want her to get to close to the action and get hurt. So, she stopped in her tracks and watched as Zorn growled and tried to figure out a way back onto the hollow. It was then that she looked over and saw a red orb get fired off towards Tsukuyomi. She had no idea what the orb would do.

As it traveled, Vesta assumed that Tsukuyomi would be able to avoid it because he was so great at fighting. Her assumption was wrong, since he got hit with it. He screamed out and fell to the ground. She ran over towards him, trying to see if she could do anything. By the time she got there, she saw that his uniform was burnt and his skin was dark brown now. She could tell that he was in pain and she really couldn't do anything about it. She looked up and the hollow was coming straight for them. She stood up and grabbed one of her rocks, ready to throw it.

Right before the hollow would attack them, Zorn appeared and dug his claws into the back of the hollow. It was then that the hollow reared back in pain. She could tell he was slowly making his way towards the back of the neck. While the hollow was flailing around, trying to get Zorn off of it, Zorn yelled out, "Get the weapon!" She looked over and saw that he had dropped his sword. It must've happened when he fell to the ground. She grabbed it and stood over him. Zorn got thrown off again.

When he did, the hollow was coming right for them. Vesta stood her ground and tried to think of the best way to hit the monster. She didn't know how to use this sword, but she had been throwing rocks for so long, her aim had improved. Since the hollow was coming right for them, it made sense that it would be even easier for her to hit her mark. She took aim and threw the sword to hit the hollow between the eyes. Right before it landed, Vesta got a slash from the hollow, hitting her right arm and leaving a huge gash.

Once the sword landed however, the hollow stopped in its tracks. Zorn had managed to jump back onto its back and jumped, grabbing the hilt of the sword with his teeth and pushed it down the rest of the way. When Zorn landed, the hollow started to slowly disappear. Zorn ran over, gently laying his sword next to him. Next, Zorn went over and checked on Vesta. "Are you okay, Vesta? It got a good shot on you." He started to sniff at the wound. "I'm fine, Zorn. It's just a scratch." She then looked down at Tsukuyomi.

Zorn ran off, and Vesta was holding her right arm tightly, kneeling down next to him. "Are you alright, Tsukuyomi? You got hit by whatever that ball of energy was pretty hard. I wish I could do something to help, but I don't know much about medicine." It was then that she looked over and Zorn had come with a water bottle and a towel. He ran back into the house for something else, but Vesta took this time to run some water over his chest wound and put the towel on it. She dabbed it and rinsed it off again.

When Zorn returned, he had a first aid kit with him this time. Vesta was now sitting on the ground and she poured the rest of the water on her wound. She took a sharp intake of breath when the water hit, stinging pretty badly. She dried it off and then used some of the medicine in the first aid kit to clean it out before bandaging it up. Zorn had to put a paw up here and there to help her, but she managed to get the bandage tied pretty tight, enough that she could move her arm. Zorn then laid down on the ground next to her while she took the medicine from the first aid kit and started to apply it to Tsukuyomi's chest, hoping that this would help with his pain.

Tsukuyomi laid on the ground his chest in incredible pain so much so that he felt like is was on fire and he just couldn't move. He couldn't help himself from moving his hands over his chest where the bala had actually hit him. That part of his chest was burnt and scorched to the point that the skin was just black and smoking in a way that one would think it had been cooking for over an hour. Tsukuyomi just didn't even know what had happened he had been unable to hear the sound of the bala being channeled and fired off almost right in front of him.

So now as he laid there in incredible pain he heard the sounds of the hollow actually being taken down by Vesta's doll. He could hear the sound of the hollow in pain and then actually dying. He was groaning in pain as Vesta rushed over towards him in order to check up on what had happened and in what condition he was actually in. When she got over to him Tsukuyomi was biting down on his lower lip in order to take away from the incredible sensation of burning that just seemed to crawl across his body from the wound.

Tsukuyomi was having difficulty in truth not throwing up. His senses were far to tuned to handle this kind of damage to his own body and then be unable to stop it. It was painful enough to deal with being shot by a bala, but when you can smell the scent of your own flesh having been burnt and it just continuing to fill your nostrils it can make anyone just lose their lunch. Tsukuyomi was trying his best not to be like anyone else right now and just focus on the actual pain and not the scent that filled his nostrils.

"Are you alright, Tsukuyomi? You got hit by whatever that ball of energy was pretty hard. I wish I could do something to help, but I don't know much about medicine." Tsukuyomi had heard the impact and how Vesta herself had been hurt. That had already been confirmed a few moments ago when he had heard the doll speaking to Vesta about her injury and how she stated that it wasn’t that bad. Well it seemed that the useless girl was at least able to a take a hit better then he would have thought.

Tsukuyomi struggled to lift himself from the grass while grunting out in pain as his flesh made a horrific sizzling sound. Tsukuyomi after a moment laid back down knowing that if he actually even tried to get up he would make this wound much worse and he would be in some real pain. “I’m obviously injured Vesta stop asking pointless questions. There isn’t much that I can do about this right now since I’m no medic. I’m going to need to stay put for right now.”

In the next moment Tsukuyomi felt the medical cream touch his burn and screamed out in pain for a brief moment. He relaxed a moment later yet it was obvious that he was just focusing on the pain the best that he could while not freaking out on Vesta. “Next time give me a warning.” Tsukuyomi said in a low tone as he seemingly starred up at the sky his closed eyes looking right at the moon. Tsukuyomi always thought it strange that he could tell where the moon was no matter what. He was trying to keep himself calm while Vesta's small hand went to work over his wound.

Vesta was still bending over Tsukuyomi, trying her best to actually try to help him. When he tried to sit up, she lightly put her hand on his chest, trying to ease him back to the grass. It was pretty obvious that he shouldn't be moving right now. He thankfully laid down and then what he said next made her angry and Zorn got close to Tsukuyomi's face and growled loudly at him. Vesta was holding back her anger. "POINTLESS?! LOOK HERE TSUKUYOMI, I'M TRYING TO HELP YOU AND IT WOULD WORK BETTER IF YOU DON'T COMPLAIN. I'M NOT THE ONE THAT TOOK THAT ATTACK DIRECTLY IN THE CHEST, YOU DID!"

She huffed to herself, thinking how dare this boy actually talk to her like that. She was helping this ungrateful brat and he didn't even have a kind word to say to him. But, she smiled a little when it was true that he took the attack straight on and she only got away with a slash to her arm. She puffed her chest out with some pride on that one. This trained fighter definitely wasn't invincible now, he took damage as much as the next person. He was pretty normal, besides the possibility of him being dead, but she pushed that thought out of her mind for the moment.

When she put the burn cream on his chest, he screamed for a moment before relaxing again. He then commented on giving him a warning next time. He said it a little under his breath. She looked at him, the calm features of his face before she said anything. "Yeah, sure I guess. Maybe if you would avoid attacks, I wouldn't have to do this..." She said the last part under her breath. This was the first time that she had actually had to take care of someone other than her father. When she continued to apply the cream, she was more gentle.

Once the cream was applied liberally to his chest, which meant the entire bottle, she grabbed some gauze out of the first aid kit. The next part she would say low, with real concern in her voice. "I'm going to apply gauze and wrap your wound up. Zorn, my doll, is going to lift you up a little so I can wrap the bandages around the wound. It might be a little uncomfortable, but I'm going to try to go as quick as I can." She then put the gauze on the wound and Zorn's tail lightly pressed on the gauze to keep it in place.

Then, she grabbed the bandages, Zorn lifted his tail, she put the start of the bandages in the middle of the gauze and he replaced his tail. She nodded towards Zorn and he got his back under Tsukuyomi's head and neck. He then scooted his back down to get them under his shoulders and then stood, lifting Tsukuyomi's back enough to give her the space she needed. She then quickly wrapped his chest with the bandages, Zorn removing his tail when needed, and she tied the bandages tight before Zorn let him back down slowly.

She then looked him over to make sure that everything was okay. She didn't see any other massive injuries, so it seemed to her that she managed to take care of the biggest and most important injury. She then wiped her brow, looking up at the sky. Taking care of people took a lot out of her. She laid down next to Tsukuyomi, close enough that her right arm and his left arm touched. Zorn laid by her head and she used him as a pillow. She looked up at the sky and felt Zorn slowly fade away, since he was no longer needed. She looked back to Tsukuyomi. "Why do you always face up at the moon?"

Moving up off the ground seemed to be a fools thought due to the pain that rushed throughout his body. Tsukuyomi felt Vesta’s hand on him and push him back down to the grass. It didn’t matter he hadn’t the strength right now to get back up on his own and it seemed that she knew that. After he spoke he heard the sound of Zorn growling at him and Tsukuyomi turned to face the doll. He was more then tempted to simply point out how inefficient the doll had actually been when dealing with the hollow yet that was when Vesta began to yell at him and she took his attention from the large cat.

When Vesta spoke after him when she applied the medicine to his chest wound Tsukuyomi’s expressed turned to displeasure. This girl was insulting him on being hit by that sudden attack of reiatsu that the hollow had used on him. Tsukuyomi for one had never encounter that type of attack before and second had been so close that evading the attack was damn near impossible. Vesta was speaking as if she had been right up in the folds of battle as well when that was untrue. She had been on the side lines again while allowing her pet to fight her battles for her.

Tsukuyomi was more then willing to speak his mind against her for he had heard what she said under her breath. As he opened his mouth in a rage to yell though he stopped and turned his head to the opposite way closing his mouth and displaying an expression many would find strange from his personality. It was far more connected to his age and was an expression of irritation and justifiably rage. Tsukuyomi was pouting on the ground thinking over how he kept getting hurt defending this girl when she wasn’t even willing to really help him out. Yeah she was taking care of his wounds, but he wouldn’t have suffered them if it wasn’t for him having to help her out in the first place.

When Vesta spoke next and told him that she was going to put gauze on his chest to help his body more he just nodded and his head and went with what was happening. He held no knowledge of medical practices and honestly due to his blindness he was unable to do anything at all even with a first aid kit. It had made taking care of his mother a nightmare even more and all he had been really able to do back then was protect her from robbers and gather up enough money that a few of the medical doctors would look her over and give them details on how she was doing. The boy had hardly been able to afford the supplies needed to extend her life and it was all for nothing anyway she was dead now and he had learned nothing from that experience other then how much pain could haunt someone.

It was about another minute before Tsukuyomi could lie back on the ground, but when he did he faced up towards the moon and a smile spread across his face. That was when he heard Vesta lay down next to him and Tsukuyomi tried to ignore her. He had noticed that Zorn was no longer present now and that just left the two of them. It was rather odd actually Tsukuyomi had never been alone with a female other then his mother. Actually he hadn’t really been alone with anyone other then himself until right now. “Honestly I don’t know why. If you think about it someone like me shouldn’t even be able to tell that it’s night time or where the moon is or if it’s out.”

Tsukuyomi raised his right hand which was the one near Vesta and pointed up at the night sky directly at the moon. “Yet for some reason I can tell exactly where it is and that right now it’s full and shining brighter over the night.” Tsukuyomi spoke in a much more pleasant and kind way for some strange reason. It made nearly no sense that something like this topic could make him so happy or just so much different then normal yet that was what it seemed to be doing. It was strange for certain and Vesta was the only person other then his mother that now knew about this side of Tsukuyomi.

Vesta laid next to this boy and listened to what he had to say. Her face was a little flushed being this close to him. She didn't even know really why she was laying down next to him, but it seemed like the thing to do, since he really couldn't move. This was the first time that she had ever been alone with a boy, so she really had no idea what she was doing. She was flying by the seat of her pants on this one. But, it seemed that even he didn't know how or why he could tell where the moon was in the sky and if it's out or even if it's night time.

Though, she could understand the night time thing. The heat from the sun and the rays of the moon had to feel different. Usually, it would be cooler at night, so the change in temperature could give him an inkling as to the time of day. Though, for her, her senses weren't in tune enough to tell little differences like that, but she figured that his probably were. She then thought about senses that heightened could be helpful. She would be able to smell what was for lunch at the school, so she could decide beforehand if she wanted to eat in the cafeteria or not.

She thought of a few other things, but while she thought of them, she felt his hand brush against hers. Her face immediately turned bright red and she stopped thinking. Why was she getting so nervous around him? It didn't make any sense to her. He explained everything and when he put his right hand down, she unconsciously moved her left hand closer till it slightly brushed against his own hand. When she felt his hand again, she quickly moved her hand away. What was she doing?! It was then that she noticed the belt he had. She turned so she was laying on her left side.

During her turn, however, since Tsukuyomi and herself were in such close proximity, her left and his right shoulder would've brushed against each other. He would be able to feel the start of her chains through her shirt. He might actually note that they were a little hotter than Vesta's skin felt, but they were always like that. It didn't bother her anymore and she never noticed it. She turned to look at his wound and the belt she just noticed. "Hey, how is your wound doing? Also, I just noticed your belt. Did you make it out of a big chain or did you buy it like that?"

Tsukuyomi kept laying on his back his face upwards at the night sky right towards the bright full moon. As they both laid there and Tsukuyomi just felt the nature around him. There was still a slight breeze that he felt course over his skin. The pain of the wound was still incredible and Tsukuyomi knew that movement was still very much out f the question. That was when he moved his arm and it accidentally made contact with Vesta's hand. He felt Vesta pull away immediately and in truth was slightly embarrassed while at the same time thinking maybe his hand hadn't touched hers by mistake, but more desire to actually do so.

What came next though was something that Tsukuyomi would have never in his life expected to actually occur. When Vesta moved away and her body made contact with his own he felt something beneath her clothing. It was like she had chains around her chest. That instantly made Tsukuyomi think of the strange black chain that seemed to just come from the inside of his body right at his tail bone. His sense of touch had allowed him to feel only for a moment not just the chains, but the much higher focus of heat that they seemed to hold. It was strange and Tsukuyomi's head immediately turned towards Vesta and his expression was now was one that displayed obvious confusion and question.

Vesta then began to speak to him again. Tsukuyomi was looking right at her or at least his face was at that angle like one would expect. She asked about is wound ye tat was not on his mind right now. Tsukuyomi had been born with a strange black chain that seemed to just be a part of his body. Yet his mother had told him that it was something that very few people had and only those that were born from someone like his father would have a chain just like him. Tsukuyomi was pondering over the thought that Vesta could be like him. "I could ask you the same about those chains under your shirt Vesta. Do you now both your parents?"

While Vesta was talking, she looked down and noticed that he was looking at her funny now. She didn't know why he was looking at her like that. She didn't know if she had asked something wrong or what was going on with him. When she was done talking, she waited to see if he would answer her question. It was pretty obvious to her that there was something on his mind. It was then that he actually asked her a question. She was a little annoyed at first, because she wanted an answer to her question on how he was feeling.

When he mentioned that he could ask the same about the chains under her shirt, she froze. Chains under her shirt? She knew that he couldn't see them, since he was blind. The only thing that made sense was that he felt them while she was moving next to him. The thought made her blush for a bit, but then she thought about it. She looked down at the chain around his waist. Maybe that chain was like her chains. She had never even thought about that before. When he asked if she knew both of her parents, she took a breath and decided to tell him. He could be someone like her.

"I actually just learned about the chains myself, Tsukuyomi. I was told that I am a Nakkabakki, a half demon with the powers of a second race. My second race would be that of a Bount. If you are truly like me, your second race would be Shinigami. I don't know any more than that. I just know that my mother had to be a demon of some sort. I might find her one day, but I'm happy with how my life is right now. How about you Tsuki?" She was now leaning closer to him, so that her left arm and leg, as well as some of her torso was touching his body.

Tsukuyomi heard the quick intake of breathe just after he had finished asking her if she knew both of her parents. From the manner at which she took that breathe Tsukuyomi assumed right away that she didn't know both of her parents. It was just an assumption based on how she took that one breathe of air yet Tsukuyomi felt like he could pick up on her disappointment and somewhat sorrow. Even to him someone that normally didn't care about other people in general felt like he was just like Vesta in this regard and wanted to help her.

It was then that she spoke and said that she had only jut learned about what the chains meant. Well that was more ten what Tsukuyomi knew. He had no clue what his chains meant or why he had them in the first place. He didn't really care how they effected him in regards to other people. He was an outcast whether it be his chain or his sight. That was just simple how he was he wouldn't ever fit in with the large crowds of general categories other then being labeled as a Shinigami just due to his difference between everyone else.

What Vesta spoke about next was such thing that struck awe in the young boy. She talked about how she was told that she was something called a Nakkabakki which was more simply a half demon. Tsukuyomi immediately couldn't believe what he was hearing. He was a Shinigami and ad learned tat there was such a place as Hell and that all those there were damned for their actions wen they were alive. Yet the idea that his father the one that he had never met and had allowed his mother to just die with no one, but Tsukuyomi was a demon.

The facts were settling in his head and that as when Tsukuyomi suddenly rushed upwards his upper body coming off the surface of the grass into a sitting position. He flinched in pain at his own subconscious movement, but he immediately fought it off and looked at Vesta slight panic in his voice. "Vesta have you had a weird type of transformation happen to you. Something that just seemed to happen without you even knowing about it." Tsukuyomi could only think back to a week ago wen he crossed blades with the Shinigami Aevus. During that battle Tsukuyomi had somehow transformed into a raging monster that held the ability of black fire. Tsukuyomi had been afraid of this after it all happened yet now it seemed logical that what that was must be linked to him being part demon.

While she talked about what she had learned, she was watching Tsukuyomi's facial features. She had come to terms with the face that she was a half demon, Jin had helped her with that. But, it seems like Tsukuyomi knew as little as she had about what he really was. It actually made her feel a little bit better that they were in the same boat in that regard. She was slowly starting to realize that Shinigami were like normal people, just gifted in different ways. It was like being a Bount, she was normal but just a gifted normal person.

She could see the conflict that crossed his face but she let him sit so he could let everything settle, like Jin did for her. He quickly went into a sitting position and flinched in pain from his wound. The stupid boy didn't even think about the wound and he needed to relax. He faced her and she could see the panic that was starting to come from him. There was obviously something bothering him about what she had said. He asked if she had ever undergone a weird transformation that happened without her even knowing it.

Transformation without her knowing it? She thought back but she didn't remember anything like that. It seemed that something like that had happened to him. Was she going to have that happen to her? She hoped not. It sounded scary for something to happen to her like that without her knowledge. "No Tsuki, I can't say that that's ever happened to me. If it has, no one's told me about it. But Tsuki, you need to calm down and relax. You don't want to open your wound." She reached over him and pushed him back down on the grass. She sat on him then, sitting on his lower abs and using her weight to keep him down on the ground so he couldn't get up again.
