Section 3: Stats and Skills
Statistical Values, or "Stats," are added to every character in order to give them actual numerical evidence of their abilities. Each Stat adds something different to every character, and many combinations can be made. Every race has a different Stat cap, as well, as mentioned in "Section 2: Races, Releases, and Leveling Up." Since this is only a cap, members are free to divide up the numbers arbitrarily to accommodate for each strength and weakness. You cannot have numbers that do not add up to the Stat cap before Type advantages are applied. Once the advantages are applied, it is entirely possible that those numbers will be more than the SP cap. Additionally, no individual Stat can be awarded more than 400 SP. Failures and Beast-Clansmen are exceptions to this rule, and their individual requirements are discussed in Section 2, as is the Kenpachi Type, which has specific distribution rules. High-rank individuals who have earned bonus SP with their rank are also able to put 500 SP into one stat, and that stat choice is locked upon decision. Please keep in mind that, while you may have a higher Stat than your opponent, only significant gaps of about 100-150 points can make a major difference in being overpowered. There are still ways for the "weaker" character to overpower the "stronger" character.Stats and Skills Jump Links

Physical Stats
Physical Stats refer to your character's Strength and Speed. They have to do with the physical abilities of your character, meaning how strong they are and how fast they can go. They are very simple and may have other additional benefits depending on what each Stat is responsible for.Strength
Strength is an offensive Stat and defines the physical strength and durability of your character. It is limited to anything physical, including physically-based Release forms. If it is your dominant Stat out of Spiritual Pressure, Strength, and Reiatsu Strength, it becomes your attack strength. It can determine how hard you can punch, kick, and swing your sword, but also how durable you are when taking a hit from other physical strength-related blows. It can also help in tough situations like when your character is trying to stand under intense gravity. A Strength Stat value of anything less than 25 means your character cannot support their own body weight regardless of what weight it is. They cannot even stand.
There is a limit on how much maximum physical strength a character can have. After using boosts, you can only achieve up to three times the given Strength Stat value after Type. For example, if your Strength value is 800 after Type, the maximum Strength you can have after a buffer technique is 2400. In physical confrontations, such as clashes of Zanpakutō, the durability (or cutting ability) of your weapon can be based on your Strength Stat. Whether your weapon can or cannot be cut or cut through an enemy's weapon also relates to Strength. If Strength is your highest Stat, it becomes your offensive Stat when you confront defenses such as Hierro and Blut, or when your weapon's physical form clashes with the enemy. If Strength is your dominant Stat but is still too insufficient to have an effect against an enemy's defense, there will be no damage effect. If your weapon has a non-physical form, such as gas, Strength is not what you base the power off of.
For some numerical examples, 50 points in Strength means your character is average for their disposition. Humanoid characters have a Strength that is average for any regular human. This can vary. A physically larger character would be stronger than a very thin one who is not athletic. This only applies to situations where a character who would be naturally stronger by build faces off against someone who would be weaker by build despite them both having the same amount of points in Strength.
Strength also plays a role in determining character size. As a character's overall size increases, the amount of Strength they require to support their own body also increases. A character under eight feet in height can support themselves with 25 Strength. This the absolute minimum Strength anyone can have. From 8-15 feet in height, the requirement increases to 100 Strength. At 15-20 feet, it increases to 250 Strength. At 20-30 feet, it is 400 Strength. At 30-40 feet, the requirement is 750 Strength. These numbers are after Type boosts. RPCs cannot exceed 40 feet in height, regardless of Strength.
NPCs get a small permission against height restrictions, allowing for larger bosses and strong foes for an thread that might end up being several opponents against one. The minimum Strength requirement is still 25, but from eight feet and up, the number changes. From 8-15 feet, they must have 75 Strength. From 15-20, it must be 200 Strength. From 20-30 feet, they must have 300 Strength. From 30-40 feet, they must have 500 Strength. Finally, they get an addition of 40-50 feet, where they need 600+ Strength. Maximum height of an NPC may have exceptions for Canon bosses and special NPCs, but high Strength will still be required for these characters.
Strength has the potential to be very dominating. With 100 Strength, you perform like a professional athlete of the greatest caliber. With 150 Strength, you become physically superhuman. You're like a wild animal, similar to a bear or something of that size and ability. At 200 Strength, you can punch holes through concrete walls, make crates in the ground by smashing it, and rip chains apart. At 300 Strength, you can jump incredible heights and distances, hurl people through walls and throw them great distances, and flex muscles to help deal with physical damage. At 400 Strength, you can be comparable to Superman. You are not invincible, but abnormally strong and highly durable. However, weapons still hurt. The most you can do is flex to help deal with damage, but you are not immune to it. Strength also scales its values. These numbers are not units of measurement. Someone with 150 Strength is not three times stronger than someone with 50.
Once you get to extreme numbers like 600 Strength, you gain special abilities. You are capable of flexing to guard against other physical strikes, even from weapons that may be bladed. You can also negate any damage from any strike that is inferior in Strength by 150 points so long as you are flexing the area that is being hit. This only works when the physical strikes are not aided by Reiatsu since Reiatsu is not affected by this defense. At this Strength, you can also create massive shockwaves of force by simply swinging a weapon around or making a physical blow. These waves are just barely slower than Cero, which means they are moderately fast but still capable of being dodged so long as the opponent is sufficiently aware of them. Anyone with at least 50 Senses can spot the distortion in the air, but they must be seen to be made aware of. These swings are slightly more tiring than normal physical attacks.
At 800 Strength, you are able to be super durable. You can take enormous amounts of damage like being hit by a car, stampeded by bulls, and having every bone broken. This is still not enough to take you down. You can flex your broken body parts back into place, survive multiple stab wounds, and be incredibly resilient. At something like 1000 Strength, you can force broken bones to mend by crushing them together within the body. You can also punch directly through Reiatsu-based attacks with Reiatsu Strength inferior to your own Strength, and you will not suffer damage.Speed
Speed is how quickly your character can move. Not only does this determine running speed, but it determines how quickly you can move your arm, blink your eyes, or even speak. After using boosts, you can only achieve up to three times the given Speed Stat value after Type. However, there are a few exceptions. Step techniques, such as Shunpo or Bringer Light, will increase Speed for a single step (or more, depending on the technique). They are able to bypass this cap limitation. Otherwise, if you have 400 Speed, you can only ever reach 1200 maximum.
Unless you want a Speed-based character, putting a lot of points in this Stat isn't a smart idea. 100 points would be a good basis, though. Once you become a higher Rank, like a Captain or Espada, then you'll need a higher base number of at least 250 to match others of the same Rank. Having less than 25 points in this Stat would mean you are essentially only ever able to speed-walk, and it would be almost impossible for you to dodge attacks. At 50 Speed, this is an average human's physical speed. At 100 Speed, you would be a professional athlete who runs track, like an Olympian. At 200 Speed, you begin to blur a bit to characters with lower Speed Stats. At 300 Speed, you could match that of a race car and possibly outrun it. At 400 Speed, you can almost disappear to the naked eye and achieve a blurred appearance to the average human. You can only blur to those of significantly slower Speed Stats by margins of at least a 150-point difference. If both characters have 400 Speed, they will be able to perceive each other normally.
At 600 Speed, you could move so quickly that you would leave behind brief, flickering afterimages for only a split second. At 800 Speed, you could do this so intensely that you leave multiple afterimages with brief movements. Using a step technique also makes a small indent in the floor or ground and produces small winds in the area that the user occupied. At 900 Speed, you can seemingly disappear entirely. At 1000 Speed, you can achieve weak whirlwinds when moving. Anyone faster than 1000 Speed can create small wind tunnels, like vacuums, with basic movement.
If any character is faster than 1000 Speed, they will likely want to hold back. It is extremely draining to move at high speeds like that. In fact, starting at 400 Speed, it becomes increasingly more exhausting. For every additional 100 points in this Stat, moving at that Speed for consecutive posts drains the user by 50% of the time it usually takes. Once someone gets to 700 Speed, it should only be possible to fight for a few short posts consecutively so long as they remain at a Speed above 400.
