Colina shimmered into existence among the white sands of Hueco mundo, staring up at the crescent moon hung above in the pitch black sky. Her face was hard with determination as she appeared, having left the Human World and absorbing so many hollow that had come to hurt the humans. She was carrying on the legacy of Caballaro and wanted to find those responsible for the horde that was sent into the world of the living. She didn’t have much to go on but she was certain that it would have to do with the disappearance of her friend. With her eyes slowly closing, Colina stood still as her six foot tall frame became rigid and tried to allow her mind to expand out into the desert to try and find a source of power. To find an Arrancar.
She stood there for a while and grew bored, so Colina began walking. It was then she finally felt a surge of power, a ripple in the waves of the sands beneath her that seemed to be responding back to her. And she felt it rushing towards her, a power equivalent to the Arrancar that had appeared in the world of the living. She felt more behind it as well, as if they might be coming in waves. Colina’s eyes snapped open as she began to respond in kind, rushing forward with haste. At first she was running on two legs and letting her arms lag behind but she eventually switched to running on all four limbs, churning sand behind her in cascading falls. It looked like water falling from a great height at the peaks and simply crashed into piles behind her, leaving a trail that anyone might follow.
When Colina felt the first source of spiritual force get close, she slowed for a moment and began looking ahead and scanned for where the power’s source was. And that’s when she saw the burrowing sand ahead of her, growing like small hills in a line heading straight for her. When she got within ten feet of the trail’s end she stopped, skidding in the sand with her feet while leaning back and digging her left claw into the sand behind her. The arrancar, a dark and lean man in robes of white and tan, leapt from beneath the sand while holding a large drill bit of a weapon approximately three feet in length and five feet wide at it’s largest width by the Arrancar’s hand. He looked down at Colina with calm and cruel eyes, causing Colina to growl as she launched into the air after him.
As Colina flew into the air, she turned her body about into an aerial somersault and began putting her legs closer to the Arrancar. He was currently readying his weapon, pulling his arm back and bending it at the elbow in order to gain strength for a thrusting motion. It was an easily readable attack, but Colina could tell there must have been more behind it. As she went to kick at the Arrancar’s weapon she found out what the twist was. Literally, the drill bit began twisting and spinning while building up a blue and black energy around it and Colina could feel the strength of a cero behind it. Colina’s eyes went wide and she launched her legs forth, colliding with the Arrancar’s arm by extending her legs to their furthest reach. Just in time, the weapon’s aim was knocked off course, launching the cero into the sand beneath and his unarmed limb that Colina had kicked became dislocated at the shoulder joint.
The Arrancar screamed in rage and pain as he flew into a slight spin and fell to the sands, gripping his left shoulder by dropping his weapon next to him. He struggled with relocating it into his socket but found it futile, struggling for far too long while Colina regained her composure. When she fell, she flopped directly into the sand on her shoulder blades, feeling the sand digging into her skin with it’s coarseness. She grew frustrated with the feeling and rolled backwards in order to get on all fours again before heading into a charge towards her enemy. She wasn’t going to mince words with this foul creature. If he was part of the plot to kill Caballaro she would give no room for him to try and correct himself. He deserved no mercy and would be slaughtered.
As Colina continued her rush towards her foe, the sands became a blinding cloud behind her in the short distance between them, following her lack a foul omen. Her body disappeared amongst the chaos of the sand particles, a mist of unnatural making that obscured her from his eyes. The Arrancar yelled and began covering his eyes with his useable arm, trying to keep the sand from getting into his eyes and possibly keeping some visibility for Colina in order to guard against her. While he lifted his arm to his eye line Colina took advantage of his weak points and charged passed, using her right claw to open up his abdomen to the outside.
As the blood flowed out the Arrancar screamed in pain, lowering his arm to his stomach and turning to see where Colina went. But it was pointless as she was already gone and coming around to the other side, charging back in with her ferocity fueling her charge. She came up along his back next, cleaving with her left claw this time and slicing up into his back and exposing muscles and sinew on his right shoulder blade. She had even managed to expose some of his bone and could see how his shoulder blade moved as he arched his back in agony in response to her. The Arrancar decided he was fed up with this tactic from Colina and decided to lift his right arm, charging his black and blue energy around it.
He began rapid firing his Bala in random areas, trying to catch her off guard in order to possibly trip her as she continued dashing about him. Colina tried to dodge from all of the bala, but eventually even her speed was not enough to evade, having one collide directly in front of her path. As Colina tripped through to new dugout in front of her she began to roll through the sand. She writhed about, searching for a foothold somewhere in the sand as she thrashed through it. When she finally did, the dust cloud was slowly falling and becoming much thinner, allowing her to see the Arrancar had reacquired his weapon, lifting it up and pointing it in Colina’s direction. “Insufferable little wretch... Stop trying to avenge that little bastard of a traitor!”
With those words, Colina’s eyes were flood with red in them and left her feeling cruel. Her body became rigid while she watched the Arrancar begin to charge up his cero again. He smiled as sweat dripped down his forehead, the tenseness of the situation and the pain starting to get to him. But he felt he was going to win having successfully thrown Colina into a mental blockade. Atleast, that was what he thought he had accomplished with his callous remark about how Colina wanted to avenge her missing friend. But he was dead wrong. Pun intended.
Colina roared as she fell to all fours again, her body stretching out while arching her neck upward to accentuate the volume before going into a charge. Her body lurched forward with all of her strength again, heading directly towards the Arrancar and into the path of the Cero’s aim. The drill spun loudly, starting to emit a grinding sound unlike before and disturbed the sand beneath it while charging up. The Arrancar silently gave small nods as if encouraging Colina to continue her charge forth. But Colina decided to do something different this time and as the Cero finished its charge and was about to launch, Colina gave a small jump and burrowed beneath the sand, causing the Arrancar to freeze at the surprise. And his Cero flew forward, burning through the sand and leaving a trail through it, glowing red with heat.
Colina then burrowed beneath the path of the Cero and lunged out from beneath the particles, baring her fangs and claws at him. The Arrancar tried shielding himself with his weapon but found the tactic too slow and fruitless as Colina used her left arm to pull the drill bit aside and yank it from his grasp. As she over extended his arm, she saw the exposing of his neck and couldn’t help herself. Her mask’s fangs sunk into the flesh, engulfing the entirety of his neck in her maw while clamping down and crushing the Arrancar’s throat. Blood spewed from his mouth as his soundless cries fell out and continued with no notice from another being. And Colina filled herself with his essence as she continued tearing him to pieces.
