Thread Title: Battle of Heat Participants: Tala vs Scarlet World: Human World Death Setting: Non Death Enabled Rating: R Location: Down by the Karakura river upstream from the bridge Special Conditions: N/A Circumstances: Tala and Scarlet having met a short time ago have come across one another again, this time though choosing to test one another and see just how far both have come and how well each other can handle themselves.

The quiet ambiance by the Karakura river was interrupted by the arrival of Tala. His footsteps resonated as he approached, a tangible energy preceding him. Tala's eyes met Hikari's, conveying a readiness for the impending duel. The moment hung in the air, filled with the anticipation of the clash about to unfold. Without wasting words, Tala and Hikari stood by the riverside, ready to test the limits of their abilities.
It hadn't been that long since he'd last seen Hikari, however he had the feeling that she had improved since then. He himself had also improved, albeit in other ways, as he was now the third seat of Squad 3. That meant he had more responsibilities now but additionally, more authority. Which means he could also probably get an audience with the powers to be and seeing about what kind of assistance or alliance they can offer Hikari as well as seeing to disciplining the Shinigami that had harassed her. However, before any of that happened, he'd like to properly test her capabilities.
Tala glanced at the scar on his shoulder, a visible mark of recent battles. He took a moment to focus his spiritual energy, preparing for the duel ahead. The scar, a silent witness to his resilience, seemed to glisten faintly under the sunlight. "Shall we begin, Hikari?" Tala's voice held a tone of mutual respect, his eyes meeting hers with a readiness for the test that lay ahead. The atmosphere crackled with anticipation as the two prepared to showcase the extent of their abilities.
{Ocular Lens w/ Reiatsu Scan}Description: A contact-like lense that fits over the eye. This is a powerful recording device, that allows the user to instantly record everything that they see while wearing it, allowing for more efficient reconnaissance even if the user is killed, as all data recorded with it is sent via live feed to Squad 12's archives. In addition to this, the Ocular Lens may have any of the following "visions" added for no extra cost: Reiatsu scan (Allows the user to judge the approximate strength of the target's reiatsu for those with lower ES), Night Vision, Infrared and Binocular. Only one vision type may be selected with the Ocular Lens which is specified upon purchase.
{Overall and Shikai Ability}Hestia's abilities, much like the mythical goddess of the same namesake, revolves around heat and fire and the power she has over them. She gives her wielder the same capability of tending to the heat and fires in the world and in themselves.
Her abilities very much focus on making use of pre-existing heat and fire to work although Hestia provides a constant source of heat so that the user can make use of after much practice and understanding of her abilities. She also allows the user to sense and differentiate types of heat, being more like a feeling than any other type of sensory cue.
In Shikai, Hāsu's abilities are more focused on the generation, control, and manipulation of heat. To start off with, Hāsu's blades are always hot to the touch, producing enough heat to cut through metal and other materials that aren't reinforced by reiatsu and even burning flesh that it cuts through. The user also learns how to make use of the heat that she is giving off and will continue to give off as long as she is released. Hāsu can also allow the user to control and manipulate any source of heat and fire, excluding the heat of living creatures save for their own.
This was something that Hikari wouldn’t have expected only a month ago, she hadn’t met Tala that long ago. In fact it had only been last month that she’d met him and helped handle a few different Hollows. He was one of the nicer Shinigami and one of the ones that actually taught her something. One big thing that she learned from him was that there were people like him that possessed so much reiatsu they were like bait to Hollow. They could sustain their zanpakuto indefinitely without limit, such information went beyond what Hikari had learned and what she would have deemed impossible without seeing Tala herself.
His zanpakuto was something else though having seen it for herself. A weapon that she was terrified at the prospect of facing down her one she knew could prepare her. It wasn’t improbable to think that given enough time she’d have to face down a Hollow that could ignite itself or breathe fire. She had to deal with this fear over something so simple. It was still something she didn’t quite get, how was she able to stand her ground without fail against monsters and literal weapons like swords and spears, but fire caused her to break out in cold sweats and her heart to start beating fast enough she felt like it would burst from her chest. She had to handle this problem now even if it meant she’d hate herself later.
All of this cultivated with what was happening right now. Standing in the same place where she’d met Tala. She was going to stand her ground and spar against him. She was going to at the very least prove that she could handle his zanpakuto for some time. It’d only been a week ago, but that was long enough for Hikari to learn and adapt to the true power of her Fullbring. The power she’d sought after and pondered about for several months before acquiring. A power that in truth she was afraid of, one that surpassed even that of fire. Concentrating on her earrings now as she stands across from Tala her Fullbring form would transform into her right hand.
"Shall we begin, Hikari?"
“No reason to wait.”
Hikari focuses for a moment her Fullbring’s black stone form burning bright orange suddenly and then her reiatsu signature would spike above the usual limit. Suddenly the black battle axe that Tala and others had seen was a mixture of colors all representing destruction. Orange, red and black formed her Fullbring, its blades burning bright orange. The solid form of the weapon didn’t seem possible as the blades seemed to move like actual lava flowing while retaining the shape it had always possessed. Hikari had a weapon of lava and would use it now to drown Tala’s flames in heat of her own.
Gripping her Fullbring now with both hands Hikari makes the first move swinging her axe downwards in a vertical manner. Flowing enough of her reiatsu into her weapon in order to produce additional lava from her Fullbring. A single swing that would send out a crescent wave of lava straight towards Tala. This slash of lava moved at 300 speed and burned with her spiritual fury. It wasn’t a lot of lava, but Hikari didn’t trust herself yet to use everything her Fullbring could offer, especially against someone as nice as Tala.
Main Fullbring Level 1 Property: Possessing all the properties of a volcano this ax is a true calamity to anyone that stands against it. Starting right from the moment of release this Fullbring emits an immense amount of heat around it, the most intense sections though are the blades and spike which each glow bright orange as if they’re lava kept in a solid state. The entirety of the Fullbring’s body actually possesses the basic ability which burns everything it touches with the same intensity as lava. This either causes incredible burns or disintegrates things immediately on contact depending on the difference between Hikari’s OS and the OS/Durability of what’s making contact.
By using her reiatsu though Hikari is able to generate molten rock, magma and lava which always originates from the body of the Fullbring as she can’t alter the ground around her. She can her Fullbring in a couple different ways the first of which is by swinging her Fullbring she can send out a crescent wave of lava. This wave can range from two to six feet in length, travels at 300 speed and has a maximum distance of thirty feet before splashing on the ground. By focusing her reiatsu on specific small points of her Fullbring small molten buds are formed which can then either be sent out with a thrust or slash.

Given Hikari's newfound confidence and mastery over her Fullbring, Tala would recognize the intensity in her gaze as they stood ready to spar. Tala was surprised to see this new form of Hikari’s, with the molten rock moving the blade. Yet despite her initial fear of fire, it was evident that she had embraced her abilities and was now determined to push herself further. He pondered how he’d fare against its touch given his own natural resistance to heat due to his own zanpakuto.
As Tala observed Hikari's Fullbring transformation, he couldn't help but admire her newfound strength and resolve. The mixture of colors swirling around her Fullbring represented not only destruction but also the determination burning within her. He nodded in acknowledgment as she gripped her Fullbring with both hands, ready to make the first move. "Very well." Tala replied, his tone reflecting both respect and readiness. As she swung her ax downwards, unleashing a crescent wave of lava towards him. Tala focused on merging the heat of his blade with his reiryoku before he met the challenge head-on. With a swift movement of his zanpakuto, he countered her attack with his own wave of spiritual heat.
The clash of their abilities would likely send waves of super heated air along the riverside, the intensity of their duel literally palpable in the air. Tala's movements were calculated, each step a testament to his experience and skill. He wanted to test her reactions as well as her overall spiritual strength since his ocular lenses gave him some impressive readings. However it seemed she was much more aggressive than he anticipated. That would be good or bad depending on her mindset. It was time to find out.
He began chanting as he raised his blade, "Man, shaped by Divine hands, revert to the form before limbs, clutch at your own throat and be afraid." He would suddenly disappear from her sight as he flash steps behind her, one hand out to tap Hikari on her shoulder as mentally called out Bakudō #1: Sai. Had Hikari’s reiatsu strength been lesser than Tala’s, she would have found her hands being forcibly restrained behind her back; however to Tala’s surprise, this wasn’t the case.
He quickly jumps back a couple feet before he experienced how well Hikari did in close quarters. So his len’s readings weren’t wrong. It seemed she possessed a much higher reiatsu than himself however from what he could also tell, her reiryoku wasn’t anywhere near his. Judging from that, she’ll likely try to end this in as few moves as possible.
{Hearth's Warmth}By controlling and combining the heat that Hestia gives off with his own Reiatsu, Tala is able to launch a wave of intense heat towards his target when he swings his zanpakutou. It travels at a speed of 300 and all flammable objects will be set aflame. Once it hits it's target, it will feel like a small explosive has gone off and leave second degree burns.
Drawbacks: Cost 100 reiatsu to use. This technique can also be noticed quite easily as it does appear as a heat vapor. As long as someone has a 50 in Instinct or Energy Sensory, they will be able to notice it. The burns can also be pushed through with Heat Tolerance 2.
Scarlet watched as the crescent wave of lava that she’d deployed as her first attack against Tala was met with a wave of heat that she could just barely see from the position she was in now. The wave of lava was something instinctual that she figured out once she awakened her Fullbring. Something that was basic as far as she could tell and yet it was simple and straightforward enough that she had no problem relying on it. It allowed her to attack from a distance in a way she wouldn’t have been able to before with an element that she couldn’t imagine facing down. Possessing a Fullbring that manifested any sort of element seemed like something amazing and yet lava was both scary and amazing. Scarlet couldn’t think of anything more destructive and powerful on earth and yet knew she had to be careful. She’d practiced somewhat and knew if she wasn’t careful she’d cause more problems then whatever she was trying to stop.
Still though she hadn’t expected her crescent to splash apart a moment later. Scattering all over the grass and burning everything beneath it, her lava began to heat up the dirt as it slid slightly like a snail. Tala was someone impressive that much she already knew after their first meeting and yet now she had to question if she was anywhere even close to him. His zanpakuto from what she knew had some sort of ability that related to heat, but beyond heating things up she didn’t really know. She could guess though based on what she’d just seen happen that he could send out waves of heated up air that could both knock things back and burn them up more than likely. A very dangerous sort of weapon that would make winning this sparring match very difficult. Despite all its power Scarlet didn’t trust herself yet to use it all against an acquaintance. How could one survive or heal after getting lava shoved in a wound? Such a thing didn’t seem possible even after everything else she’d been through.
The brief clash between their differing abilities was enough that Scarlet could already see the grass on the slope of the river changing. It was almost like the grass itself was dehydrated or wilting due to the heat that’d been released right on them. Such an extreme change wasn’t something that Scarlet would have believed possible when her lava in truth only touched a small portion of the total. This sparring session really had danger attached to it just off the basis that it was Tala and herself. While in her thoughts Scarlet let her guard down and then with a blink lost sight of her opponent.
She then felt the tap on her shoulder. She’d seen Tala mouthing words and yet her own thoughts about the surroundings clouded her judgment. Now he’d managed to get his hands on her which meant something. She wasn’t sure what it meant until the next moment when she felt her arms almost being pulled back, but it felt like they were being pulled by a child. Flexing her arms and moving them forward slightly, Scarlet broke the kido that Tala tried to employ against her not realizing that it didn’t have the potency necessary to bind her soul.
Wasting no time Scarlet turns on her heels the moment Tala moves back and then she’d close the distance in a moment almost like he’d done. Scarlet didn’t employ Bringer Light though, instead opting to use Movement. It didn’t grant her as much of a boost, but it was enough to hopefully pressure Tala. Getting right up close to him with her axe held in a strange way. It wasn’t held like a battle axe, but instead a spear! Her right hand down below the head of her Fullbring and the bottom of its shaft pointed at Tala. Although the large crescent blades marked it as an axe at the bottom was a sharp point like any spear. Scarlet intended on thrusting forward aiming right at Tala’s left shoulder.
As Scarlet's movements surged forward with unexpected speed and agility, Tala found himself momentarily caught off guard. He hadn't expected her to be able to enhance her speed with methods outside of Bringer Light. Her rapid approach, coupled with the unorthodox grip on her Fullbring, presented a unique challenge. Despite his best efforts to react swiftly, Tala realized he was unable to evade the incoming thrust in time.
With Scarlet's axe-turned-spear aimed directly at his left shoulder, Tala braced himself for the impact. The blade of her Fullbring connected with his shoulder, slicing through his uniform and leaving a shallow cut. The searing sensation of the burning lava-like substance stung, but Tala gritted his teeth, refusing to let the pain distract him. As Scarlet's momentum carried her past him, Tala seized the opportunity to retaliate. Despite the brief moment of vulnerability, Tala remained focused, his determination unwavering. With a swift motion, he pivoted on his heel, aiming a counterstrike at her exposed flank.
He began channeling quite a bit of his reiatsu into his left hand, the one not currently holding his zanpakuto. "Your speed and adaptability are commendable, Hikari," Tala remarked, his voice carrying a tone of respect for her skill. "But let's see how you fare against this." With a flick of his wrist, Tala unleashed a burst of spiritual energy, channeling it into a swift strike aimed at Scarlet's back. His attack was measured, designed to test her defenses.
{Combat Cutback}Class: 4 Technique Type: Reiatsu Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): Anyone with 300+ SpPr Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: Persons with high spiritual pressure are known for their large reiatsu pools, but they also tend to be known for their weaker reiatsu strength, which means they have a ton of reiatsu, but not that much to actually use it on. This techniques entire purpose is to take that sheer volume of reiatsu and turn it into a viable, dangerous weapon.
The user builds up a pool of reiatsu internally, increasing the internal pressure, before channeling it towards a set of limbs, such as the hands or feet, discharging it as a weapon. By doing this the user can harness their reiatsu into physical striking power, allowing them to match a physically stronger opponent blow for blow, or possibly even beat them. Upon initial use the user pays 75 reiatsu per 100 strength, maxing out at their spiritual pressure, but afterwards the per post upkeep drops to 25 per 100. The amount of force generated can be changed once per post, going down merely drops the upkeep, but going up, the user must pay the initial upkeep as well as an additional 75 reiatsu for every 100 strength they add to the technique.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): Building up internal reiatsu before focusing it on a set of limbs such as hand hands or feet (or other applicable appendage like a tail). Before mastery of this technique only a single limb, such as one hand or foot, may be selected at a given moment, after master is obtained both may be used at once.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc): Besides a fairly large initial cost and a moderate per post upkeep this technique only has one major drawback; reiatsu burns. When using this technique the user is forcing a large amount of reiatsu to be funneled through a relatively small area, so extended use can be dangerous. 1st degree burns begin to form after about 3 posts, 2nd degree after 5, 3rd after 7, and finally after 9 posts the chosen limb becomes borderline useless and the technique can no longer be used in that area. Healing, specifically of the burns, will reset the timer of this technique.

The new maneuver of attack that she’d been practicing for a short deal of time turned into something quite worthwhile. Scarlet hadn’t really been sure that her Fullbring would ever really work like a spear despite all the parts being there. To actually use it the way she was right now opened up a few different options, one of which was using it like that idiot spear woman. What she hadn’t expected though was to see her thrust actually hit its mark even if it didn’t get through his shoulder it managed to hurt Tala. She managed to land a blow on a Shinigami of considerable might!
What happened in the next few moments though she didn’t expect anymore than her blow actually landing and made her question if she’d just gotten lucky. The moment that followed her attack she could see the motions unfolding and turned on her right ankle enabling her to stop her motion forward past Tala. The result was Tala wouldn’t have as much time to slash at her back which ultimately would turn into something else she’d barely even considered with her Fullbring. By holding it up below the crescent heads she had an incredible grip which would stop the zanpakuto by blocking it.
The top of her axe was held flat against the zanpakuto almost like a shield, but despite managing to protect her back Scarlet suddenly felt strength far beyond her own physically. Tala didn’t have the physical build of someone more built up than herself, but she couldn’t deny the fact. Taken off guard she found herself knocked backwards off the ground down the slope and towards the water. Getting knocked off her feet and then rolling down the slope was frustrating, but thankfully Scarlet managed to stop herself before getting into the water then hopped up onto her feet easily thanks to her physical strength.
“A good reply Tala. How did you hide such physical strength?”
Scarlet asked although she didn’t waste any time knowing that after that hit her muscles were likely going to get sore soon. There was also the time limit on her Fullbring which meant she couldn’t just talk while it was burning. This time though she went harder executing Brighter Light in order to vanish with a flash of green reiatsu from her feet. The next moment Scarlet was to the side of Tala with both her hands on her Fullbring and swinging it horizontally from her right to left. She was going to hit him with the flat side of her Fullbring. It’d hurt and burn, but not kill while making a point!

Hikari's swift maneuver caught Tala off guard, her attack landing with surprising accuracy. Despite his attempt to defend himself, the force of Hikari's blow sent him staggering backward, his muscles straining against the unexpected force. As he regained his footing, Tala couldn't help but be impressed by Hikari's tenacity and strength.
"A good reply, Tala. How did you hide such physical strength?" Hikari's question cut through the air, drawing Tala's attention even as he prepared for her next move. He chuckled softly, a wry smile playing on his lips. "I suppose you could say it's a product of determination and training," he replied cryptically, not elaborating further.
With a sudden burst of speed, Hikari disappeared from his sight, only to reappear at his side in a flash of green reiatsu. Tala barely had time to react before the flat side of her Fullbring swung towards him, aiming to strike him with blunt force. Instinctively, Tala raised his zanpakuto to block the attack, the impact sending vibrations through his arms.
The heat emanating from Hikari's Fullbring washed over him, the intensity of the flames searing his skin even through the protective barrier of his zanpakuto. Despite the pain, Tala remained steadfast, his gaze unwavering as he met Hikari's eyes. "You've certainly improved, Hikari," Tala remarked, his voice calm despite the adrenaline coursing through his veins. With a swift movement, he disengaged from their close quarters, taking a step back to create some distance between them. Focusing his spiritual energy, he prepared to unleash a surge of fiery power, ready to test Hikari's resilience further.
Tala's retaliation was swift and calculated. With a focused intensity, he channeled his reiatsu into Hearth's Warmth, unleashing multiple waves of scorching heat from different angles and positions with the help of shunpo. The first wave surged forth directly towards Hikari, a relentless cascade of fiery energy aimed to overwhelm her defenses. He'd then shunpo to her flanks, and unleash another wave on each side, leaving her with little room to evade.
Each wave carried the intense heat of Hearth's Warmth, creating a fiery onslaught that filled the air with searing energy. Tala's strategic maneuver aimed to keep Hikari on the defensive, testing her agility and resilience against the relentless barrage. With a steady gaze and unwavering determination, Tala remained focused on his opponent, ready to adjust his tactics as needed to maintain the pressure.
The swing of her Fullbring gave her results that she hadn’t been expecting, she’d fought against more than her fair share of Hollows in the last two months and developed herself enough that she now had her Fullbring, but managing to knock Tala backwards was enough she felt a surge of pride course throughout her soul. Only a little bit ago she hadn’t been able to do anything to Tala even though they hadn’t even sparred; she knew he outclassed her in every regard. Her hard work had really paid off. Tala only reassured her feelings though when he gave her an answer that was basically just work hard and push forward.
Despite utilizing Bringer Light to try and get a successful attack Tala still managed to protect himself with his staff like zanpakuto. It was just another display to show her that experience was essential when it comes down to combat. Scarlet was ready to swing at him again although struggled with using her Fullbring completely knowing she couldn’t use the edge. This was just a spar with someone she considered an ally. She wouldn’t ever risk fatally harming him. That's when Tala put some distance between them and began channeling his reiatsu even more.
Scarlet could really feel it now, the heat in the area around them wasn’t really from her Fullbring. She’d practiced with it enough to know how hot she’d feel even after the time limit is reached. At the moment it was much hotter all around her than with just her Fullbring alone so Tala’s zanpakuto had to be cooking everything in the area essentially. She hadn’t noticed until this moment but her clothing was already sticking to her skin which was now drenched in sweat. Damn this was going to get uncomfortable whether she won or not.
The hot air was already causing enough problems, but to make it even worse Scarlet could tell it was getting harder and harder for her to breathe properly due to the extreme heat. If she didn’t do something about the heat then her stamina was going to burn up even faster than her Fullbrings time limit. It felt like she was standing in a sauna with the only piece missing the steam. These clothes definitely had to come off the moment she got home which would be a struggle as they were now glued to her.
Scarlet waited for a moment and then saw it, Tala’s body motion told her he was going to make his attack and at that moment she unleashed her reiatsu commanding the ground beneath her feet to sink. Tala unleashed his heat waves on her position yet the waves would clash against empty space as Scarlet sank down through the use of Pillar of Depth enabling her to reach twenty feet deep into the ground where the air was much cooler. It’d feel like she just walked out into the cold air of winter compared to what was above her now.
The ground around her wasn’t the most sturdy, but it was enough that she wasn’t going to break apart and bury her alive. “Damn he can affect the area too much for me. I’ve got to keep him still or stop his zanpakuto somehow.” It’d only take her a few moments but it all mattered any second now Tala would unleash one of his attacks down the hole and she’d have little way to protect herself. Placing her hand against the wall of the hole Scarlet concentrates and then using her reiatsu commands the ground to rise up on Tala. Thankfully the ground knew Tala’s location even if she didn’t have it known perfectly.
The next moment the ground beneath Tala’s feet would rise up around him and rotate around Will rising until after a moment it all connected turning into a spiral dome sealing him inside. Tala would have to cut his way through the cone around him now which was reinforced with Scarlet’s reiatsu. It wasn’t going to be something easy to get through and now he’d have to deal with all the heat from his zanpakuto in the enclosed space. Leaping up from the depth of the hole Scarlet grabs hold of the edge and pulls herself up and out with her left hand.
It was at this point that she began to swing her Fullbring at the cone, reaching over with her left hand and grabbing hold to get the best swing possible. She was going to send out one of the lava crescents from her Fullbring that didn’t just burn like lava, but cut things just like the axe. Thankfully though Scarlet stops herself halfway through the swing realizing once again this wasn’t a Hollow or a threat to anyone nearby. She wasn’t sure if her crescent could cut through her cone prison, but if it did she could severely hurt or even kill Tala that wasn’t what she wanted.
Instead she’d swing her the crescent of lava did not connect with the cone but the ground to the side of it in a vertical manner. She wanted to make sure Tala knew just how strong she’d really become, thus she would show him she had a chance to do much more. What she did now was unclear though. She had other techniques, one of which she could use right now, but like her Fullbring it was lethal and thus she wouldn’t use it against Tala. So she’d hold her Fullbring firm with both hands ready for Tala to break free.
Calamity of Nature: 4/10
Remaining Reiatsu: 1205/1640 Pillar of Depth: -50 Earth Prison: -100
Tala felt the ground shift beneath him as Scarlet descended into the earth, evading his onslaught with impressive agility. His waves of heat crashed against empty space, leaving Tala momentarily taken aback by her unexpected maneuver. As he stood there, assessing the situation, he felt the ground rise up around him, encasing him in a spiral dome crafted from Scarlet's reiatsu-infused earth.
Trapped within the confines of the dome, Tala could sense the heat from his zanpakuto intensifying within the enclosed space. He knew he had to act quickly to free himself from Scarlet's ingenious trap. Focusing his reiatsu, Tala summoned all his strength, his energy pulsating with renewed vigor. With a swift and precise motion, Tala slashed at the reinforced cone surrounding him, his blade cutting through the earth with determined resolve. Each strike echoed with the strength of his reiatsu, chipping away at the barrier that held him captive.
Meanwhile, Scarlet stood poised above, her Fullbring at the ready, a testament to her newfound strength and determination. Tala couldn't help but admire her growth and resilience, even in the heat of battle. As he continued to chip away at the dome, Tala made a decision. With one final strike, Tala shattered the last remnants of the barrier, emerging from the dome with a sense of admiration for Scarlet's prowess. "Impressive, Hikari," he called out, his voice carrying genuine respect. "You've grown stronger since we last met. I concede this match to you."
With a nod of acknowledgment, Tala stepped back, his blade returning to its sealed state as he regarded Scarlet with a newfound appreciation. "Continue to hone your skills, Hikari. I have no doubt you'll become a formidable force to be reckoned with." Tala then pauses and gives her a thoughtful look, "If it is okay with you, I could speak with my higher ups about possibly giving you a substitutes' badge. With it, you shouldn't have any trouble with other shinigami you run into."
Hikari was quite surprised when she heard the sound of Tala’s zanpakuto one time after another clashing against the cone of stone that she’d trapped him in. It was obvious that he was going to break out of the trap, but in truth Hikari thought that it would only take him one swing. He didn’t think that her own ability had raised enough to actually challenge him especially when right now she was drenched in sweat not from her Fullbring, but from his zanpakuto.
When Tala managed to break through the stone cone Hikari had to stop herself once again from sending out a wave of lava. She really wasn’t used to sparring alongside anyone, especially not with this new power that she in truth didn’t know its full extent yet. Just like that though Tala began to speak and while it was nice to hear from someone else that she’d gotten stronger it was disappointing actually that Tala wanted to end the spar right here.
Hikari wasn’t sure why when both of them used such dangerous weapons, but she wasn’t done. She could tell based on how she felt right now that she wanted to keep going and see just how much she could push Tala. She wanted the answer to the question on whether or not she had actually gotten strong enough to protect against most things. Dismissing her Fullbring back into her twin earrings just after Taka did the same with his zanpakuto.
“Thank you for everything Tala. I’m not sure I’ve really had problems with Shinigami, but if it’ll help me help out then sure.” Hikari wasn’t really sure what else the two of them had to speak about nor what they could even do. Hikari wasn’t really sure how to pick up the mess but the side of the river was quite bad now. Her lava especially being a nightmare for any lawn routine. Now though she just had to keep pushing forward like Tala suggested.
