Technique Name: Shinsō: Premonition
Technique Class: 2 - 150 TTP.
Technique Type: Bount Reiatsu | Shinsō.
Usable By: Shinsō Bount.
Technique Element: Body.
Technique Cost: 100, 500, or 1,000 Reiatsu.
Description: Shinsō Vampires are those with an almost ancestral blood coursing through their dead veins. Not unlike that of the True Bount of lore, Shinsō Bount embodies another line of power; another ancestral lineage of which to draw upon, and make manifest. Shinsō Bount, instead of serving as some kind of figurehead for the lineage as a whole like True Bount do, instead embodies a more primal, powerful side of the Vampirism they inspire. More in line with the myths and legends surrounding the human concept of vampires, Shinsō Bount are a force to be reckoned with.
What Premonition does for a Bount is simple. This technique serves as a prerequisite for the other Shinsō techniques, and allows a Bount to "embrace" non-Bount races. By spending reiatsu, the Shinsō Bount utilizing this technique is capable of converting non-Bounts into that of Bount lineage. Such a technique does not work on Hellions, nor does it work on Beast-Clansmen or Failures. Anybody else is able to receive the Shinsō Bount's blood through bite on their neck, and become Bount.
For a 100 reiatsu cost, this transformation is temporary. The recipient of the Shinsō Bount's blood still remains Shinigami, Arrancar, et cetera, but gains a boost in regard to the Bount that gave them blood. While Shinsō blood courses through their veins, they are gifted with power. The Bount is capable of sacrificing an amount of SP after type to grant to the recipient after type. At Learned, this can be no more than 10% of the Bount's SP after type, increasing to 25% at Proficient and 50% at Mastered. This lasts until the end of the thread, and can be reversed with another bite and expenditure of 100 reiatsu. SP gifted from the Shinsō Bount is deducted from their own stats, requiring redistribution to account for this loss. The SP sacrificed need not go into the same stat for the recipient, however. The recipient of this transfusion must be willing.
At Proficient, and for a 500 reiatsu cost, this transformation is made permanent. RPCs must be willingly embraced, but NPCs do not require such approval. When permanently embraced in such a fashion, the recipient must undergo a Change-it-Up, becoming a Bount in the process. They retain any SP trained for, but have their Class SP adjusted as appropriate. Upon this change, they are dropped by two Classes from where they originally were. If said character was Training Tier, they retain Training Tier benefits; if this would cause them to drop below Class 1, they lose their bonus SP, and are required to train for it again as they need to get used to their new body and abilities. Any techniques they possessed that they are no longer able to use are lost.
At Mastered, and for 1,000 reiatsu, this technique can be used on a Bount in order to make them into a Shinsō Bount. When this happens, said Bount is given this technique for no TTP cost; should they not have the slots to do so, they are required to immediately lose a technique to do so. They are made immediately eligible for learning the other Shinsō Bount techniques, should they desire. In addition to this, the Shinsō Bount gives off a permanent aura akin to that of having 100 Dark Aura at all times, regardless of their current LA/DA distribution. Due to this tech doing little for the user aside from being a prerequisite technique, the TTP cost is slightly less than that of a standard Class 2 technique.
How to Use: Expend reiatsu, and bite into the neck of a recipient.
Drawbacks: Aside from this technique doing little for the Bount in question, those that take this technique embrace Shinsō heritage; what this means is that they can never hope to become a True Bount. Permanently barred from that line of technique and power, a Shinsō Bount instead embodies something different. Becoming a Shinsō Bount requires this technique, and cannot be done without it. Aside from its creator, this technique cannot be taken alongside Character Approval. Only the technique's creator is capable of creating additional Shinsō Bount through the Mastery of this technique.
One can only be so receptive to the temporary transformation. After a certain number of times, such Shinsō blood will become toxic to the individual in question. Even subsequent uses of this technique on the same individual without permanently embracing them will lead to a noteworthy loss in efficiency. During the second use of this technique, the amount of SP the recipient receives is 1 for every 2 the Bount loses. During the third use, this becomes 3:1, and so on. After this technique has been used five times on the same individual, this Shinsō blood becomes far too much for them, and they're permanently reduced to a sort of failed half-hybrid between Bount and what they were originally, driven exclusively by a desire to consume souls much like Bounts do. While like this, said character is unable to utilize their release, and any non-general techniques as they're made into nothing more than a husk of their former self. Even the other variations of this technique will cease to function on them, permanently leaving them the way they've now become. This affliction can be cured through in-character means, in which an individual with 1,200+ Healing Expertise cleanses the damage to their body, mind, and soul.
