Technique Name: Kurayami: Kitsunebi no Rei (Darkness: Fox-Fire Zero)
Technique Class: 1 - 250 TTP
Technique Type: Kurayami.
Usable By: Vizard
Technique Element: Fire | Shadow
Technique Cost: 200 Reiatsu per Kitsunebi, 25 Reiatsu per Kitsunebi to keep active, 200 to merge one Kitsunebi, 400 to merge two Kitsunebi, & 600 to merge three Kitsunebi.
Description: Also simply called Kitsunebi by its creator, Kitsunebi no Rei is a technique molded by Aevus's inner Hollow, and is an homage to the number technique Rei. Released from the users Zanpakuto, and split from their Inner Hollow's darkly Reiatsu, the user will materialize Kitsunebi, which take the form of small fiery Fox-like spirits. Their color reflects the Hollows Reiatsu that was used to form them. These fiery spirits are ghostly and appear semi-sentient, but are controlled through mental commands by the user's Inner Hollow. When not given a command they orbit around the user, prancing around at a speed of 400 on the air, and ground. They are slow on their own, yet they can individually be commanded to sick a target. When given that command they rush forward in a straight-line at 800 speed, quickly becoming a blur. While dashing they leave a Reiatsu trail from their bushy tails making them appear as a beam of Reiatsu. In this state the destructive nature of Kitsunebi is that of a Vizard Cero, which uses their highest spiritual offensive stat (RS by default, if not released). If Mask is not active, it is instead equivalent to a base Cero.
The actual strength of these fiery spirits is their innate ability to merge with the users existing techniques or their Zanpakuto itself, by paying the cost to materialize them again. When merging, they will step upon the technique or Zanpakuto with a single paw causing a ripple of Reiatsu before dissipating. In this state they enhance that technique with their destructive nature for a single hit. If the technique in question has a set speed, it increases by 400 while merged. After the explosion occurs, the technique Kitsunebi was merged with will be destroyed regardless of durability. When merging with the Zanpakuto the user can release the Kitsunebi at any moment, albeit at a speed of 1200.
Through mastery the user can merge multiple Kitsunebi into the same technique or Zanpakuto to strengthen its destructive capabilities. It should be noted regardless of mastery the user can only merge up to three Kitsunebi in a single post. Also the size of this technique never changes, although the destructive nature of it does drastically.
Learned - The user can merge one, costing 200 Reiatsu, and increasing techs with set speeds by 400, including this technique when released from the user's Zanpakuto.
Proficient - The user can merge two, costing 400 Reiatsu, and increasing the explosion up to 2.5x their highest offensive stat with Mask. Mastery allows it to be used without Mask, though merging becomes limited to 1.5x the user's offensive stat.
Mastered - The user can now merge three, costing 600 Reiatsu, and increasing the explosion up to 3.0x their highest offensive stat with Mask. Mastery allows it to be used without Mask, though merging becomes limited to 2x the user's offensive stat.
How to Use: To use this technique, the user must first have their mask active, and then call upon the dark Hollow Reiatsu within. They then release it in the form of Kitsunebi.
Drawbacks: Kitsunebi can only be fully utilized to its complete potential while the user has their Vizard Mask active. For even with mastery, the user is limited to enhancing their offensive stat by 2x when merging Kitsunebi without their Mask active. Also uniquely Reiatsu expended from this technique bypasses the Vizard Masks Reiatsu suspension regardless of doning ones mask or not. When merging more than one Kitsunebi into a single technique or Zanpakuto this technique counts as an attack boost, and thus that enhancement is limited once-per post. Also regardless of Kitsunebi active, the user can only merge up to three in a single post.
