Name: Stronghold of the Outcasts
Description: The new base of operation for the small pack of Beasts known as the Outcasts, along with all the plus souls that have decided to follow them. A medieval type castle in the middle of a grassland section in the Western sector of the Wilderness. The grassland stretches out for miles and miles before coming across anything beyond the occasional small pond or stream. These small bodies of water, although lacking, are typically enough. The surrounding area plays host to a variety of different wildlife that at least for the moment haven’t been conditioned to feel fear towards humanoids allowing others to walk up to them.
Onto the actual body of the base, the castle. One that is at minimum several centuries old and suffered extensive damage from some forgotten battle. A large portion of the stone body has been ruined with only a couple rooms possessing actual stone roofing. The castle is square in shape with ruined walls on all sides although the base of each wall is still present reaching up only about a meter at most with crushed broken stone. Once inside the castle the floor is composed entirely of stone although due to time and damage many weeds and grass now grow from below.
Although at some point this castle was several stories tall towering over the surroundings it currently is a shell of its former stature. Many of the stone walls that made up the body of the castle including interior walls still stand yet nothing beyond the second story in height. Weathered smith gray stone that’s been neglected for far too long. Most of the sections have bed rolls currently where the pluses sleep. Although repairs to the castle haven’t begun, figuring it out has and thus the sleeping areas have been set up.
Spreading out from the castle there are several tents positioned a couple miles to the East which function as a hunting camp. This camp often serves as home for the hunting party currently trained and led by Zadora. This camp is positioned in such a way that should anyone from the Rukongai come seeking the Outcasts they must first pass through the camp without adding extra travel time. The castle is located just over 900 miles from the end of Rukongai District 80 meaning it takes most more than a month on foot to reach the castle from the edge of the Shinigami influence.

Beyond the basics listed above there are only three advantages to the new base of operations. The first of which includes the member Lolth, who lives beneath the castle body setting up her own system of tunnels for her and her children. This system of tunnels is layered with webbing which allows the smaller spiders to send signals to Lolth. The tunnel system is constantly growing enabling Lolth to learn of approaching individuals well before most. The second are the animals in the area which have been tamed by Rafael. These animals aren’t to be hunted nor harmed in any way as they’ve been turned into members of the pack. Several go out collecting additional food for the castle while others much like Lolth’s children act like scouts or sentries. The animals range from squirrels, deer, snakes and birds.
The last part of the castle is at the center. A strange tree that shouldn’t exist in the center as it’s roughly one hundred feet tall and twenty feet in width. The most puzzling yet invaluable part of the castle lies in the middle of the massive oak tree. Somehow the middle of the oak tree is split open at the base, yet it doesn’t appear to be a wound. When a spiritual entity makes contact with the tree the reiatsu of the individual can fill this space, opening a portal to the human world. This portal will open through another tree and stay open for several minutes before closing, potentially leaving whoever went through there. The tree only seems to open portals near Karakura Town.
