Technique Description and Effects: Whenever the user confers one or more Force stacks onto an opponent with a physical contact while their reiatsu is ignited, they may also confer a spark from their reiatsu flame onto their target by paying 15% of their post-type Reiatsu Strength stat. If they do, they ignite their target's reiatsu according to the effects of the Partial Ignition technique (which increases the outputs of their non-step, non-stat boosting, non-passive techniques by 50% but also increases their reiatsu consumption by 100% and causes them to lose 100 reiatsu each post). If the target's reiatsu is already partially ignited, their ignition level advances to Full Ignition and; if this happens a third time, then the target enters Final Ignition.

The user may generate stacks of Force as a part of executing this technique. For every 2 stacks of Force generated, they may transfer 1 extra stack of Force as a part of making contact.

How to use technique: While your reiatsu is on fire and under pressure, transfer the heat of your soul and a spark of your own reiatsu into your target, spreading and fanning the flames.

Technique Drawbacks: To use this technique, the user must have ignited their own reiatsu and be in Impel Mode. Rather than cost reiatsu to use, this technique vigorously employs its user's spiritual strength, reducing their post-type Reiatsu Strength by 15% per use. If the user's Reiatsu Strength cannot suffer any further debuffs, this technique cannot be used.

Second grader! So my big thing is there are a lot of terms here that are not elaborated on. I can assume they come from somewhere else, but it would be best if they were referenced here so we can understand what the effects are.

What are Force stacks? How are they conferred? What is the "output of someone's Ignition"? Same for the Partial/Full/Final Ignition. If you could link the relevant techniques for me, if it's referenced elsewhere, that'd be appreciated. ^^; I can give a better grade from there.

Force stacks are a resource acquired by Force and Pressure's Impel Mode, which are conferred to opponents on touch and proximity. If the user accrues too many Force stacks, they explode (which is bad for them).

The output of ignition is the amount of increase in the efficacy of someone's techniques from having their reiatsu set on fire.

While I get what you're going for - different stances for different effects - I'm afraid this technique does too many different things to be a single technique. You've got your transference of Chakra Burn for OS reduction and punishing for Reiatsu spending, you've got a growing booster/decrease in increased costs, and you've got an ability that forces Partial/Full/Final Ignition onto those who experience enough spark heat. As they are all the aspects are actually fine to me, but I feel like this is three techniques in one, unfortunately. They'll either need to be different techniques, or it should be that an individual learns one particular branch upon picking this technique and that's it if you want to keep it as it is. But I can't really pass having three techniques take up only one tech slot.

Can I make them a single technique with different branches, one of which is chosen upon learning the tech, with the option to do a solo training thread to change which branch a character expresses? If the issue is how many tech slots it takes up, could the tech be learned multiple times to take multiple branches?

You're welcome to either route if you'd like. I'm fine with a branched technique that can be changed with re-training, or multiple techs to take up multiple slots. Both are valid options.

Candescence Dance's drawback was designed with tripartition in mind. Since each tech or branch now does only one thing, and the practitioner can't switch between the three, I feel that a 5% debuff to Strength is too high for the individual effects. I'd like to lower it to 2.5% in light of the efficacy nerf.

Considering that it's costless and has some very potent effects, I disagree. Being able to reduce an opponent's OS simply for spending Reiatsu, or have anywhere from a 125%~275% boost as well as reducing that cost increase sharply from Ignition, an average of 40 OS (assuming the baseline of an 800 OS) is pretty reasonable. IF you want to put a Reiatsu cost on it, then I'd be willing to lower the penalty, but as it is costless I'm going to have to keep it as is.

Something seems a bit funny, there. It looks like you're saying that Candescence Dance only costs 5% of your OS, not 5% per post.

In the Heart on Fire + Final Ignition example... for a 275% boost, Candescence Dance needs to have first been active for 10 posts, so the debuff would be 400 OS, not 40.

Is that what you mean by a reasonable cost?

Fire in the Blood: I'm good with this, since you can purge the effect.

Heart on Fire: No, absolutely not.

Spark of Ardor: I don't get what this does. Do you generate sparks of Heat? Do you give other people the sparks of heat when you touch them? Do you need to have Partial Ignition, Full Ignition, and Final Ignition learned since this gives the person the effects of those techniques? What other Ignition effects affect the one meter aura that this gives the user?
