"Ugh, gross... I think I'm... gonna be sick, Anego!" 

"Fuuck that's gross!" Fuuko winced as she was hosed down with blood, only for it to absorb into Shukketsubuki. "How can a fuckin sword  be sick!?" Fuuko heard Shukketsubuki whine.  The Spatha began to glow red once more. It changed into a slightly larger cutlass, thin but curved and longer, with a guard that covered Fuuko's knuckles. She was ready to continue her attack, but the bugman had vanished. 

"The fuck?!" Fuuko barked. She blinked when the sudden stink of the bug's blood changed to a spot behind her. She looked back towards Iroka to check if the bug had moved noticed it quickly. Fuuko's eyes widened, but there would be no  way for her to react in time. Whatever was going to happen to Iroka, if it was to be stopped, would have to be on Iroka herself. All Fuuko could do was charge a Sakuen and hope that Iroka survived getting gobsmacked by the ugly bug man. 

"Sakugen!" Fuuko said as she slashed the air and sent a wave of golden reiatsu streaking towards the bugman.

{Sakugen! (Cut!)}Technique Name: Sakugen (Cut)

Technique Class: 7 - 10 TTP

Technique Type: General Shinigami.

Usable By: Shinigami, Vizard, Rogues.

Technique Element: N/A

Technique Cost: 25 Reiatsu.

Description: The user pours Reiatsu into their body, and their sword, and releases it in a mighty slash attack. A small slash of Reiatsu shoots outwards, and can cut with the same force as the user, if it hits. It also bypasses the cutback effect, as well as comes with the user's weight. It feels like it hits the enemy with the user's body weight, on top of cutting into them or their tools.

How to Use: Charge and slash in an instant.

Incantation: N/A.

Drawbacks: It drains some Reiatsu and some stamina, but also comes with a requirement. One must have a minimum of 200 in strength to be able to use this technique, or it cannot be used.

The claw was inches from Iroka's face when a shout came from the roof of a nearby shanty house. "HYAKUJUUNOOU KOUSOU! OVERLOAD!" Those with any energy sensory would see a pillar of pure white energy cut through the air, seeking to crash right into the roach creature! Those without energy sensory wouldn't be able to see the attack made of raw reiatsu!

{Hyakujuunoou Kousou (Beast King's Bite) 1200 Reiatsu Cost (1000 Speed, 1000 Reiatsu) }Hyakujuunoou Kousou (Beast King's Bite) - Kazuhiko causes a brief build-up of Reiatsu in his Shikai before firing it out in a burst of pure Reiatsu infused with Hyakujuunoou's effects. Those struck by it are put under the effect of Hyukujuunoou, which is to say their Reiatsu is sapped/diffused. Being hit by it feels like being hit by a strong gust of freezing cold wind. This can clash with techniques and moves at a speed of 800. This technique costs 100 reiatsu to use. However, Kazuhiko can double the cost to 200 in order to either increase the speed of the attack to 1000. Kazuhiko can spend up to 1000 Reiatsu to increase the potency of the reiatsu cap reduction by the same amount. This effect applies after the initial drain, so if the victim is afflicted by the percentage drain, it will be a percentage + the amount extra invested in the attack, up to 1000.

This attack can clash with techniques that involve Reiatsu. In the event of a clash, the defender must utilize a technique that spends more than the amount of Reiatsu invested by Kazuhiko to neutralize it. However, any amount of Reiatsu spent against the tech reduces the potency of the Reiatsu Cap Reduction by the same amount. Further, if the user is released, then it will be reduced by the upkeep of that release unless the cost of the technique is higher. If Beast King's Roar is clashing with multiple Reiatsu abilities, then this is addative. Meaning if there is a series of shields in the way, it will have to be reduced by each successive shield it clashes with until running out of force.

If the creature was hit he would feel as though an arctic wind passed right through him. As if a spirit had crossed its body. The attack would reduce their ability to hold reiatsu by an amount that most individuals couldn't endure! The full amount of damage to the creature's Reiatsu cap would equal 1300. And if this ability took it to 0, it would knock it out instead! This was Kazuhiko's strongest attack, and a desperate one made in hopes of saving his squadmate!

If eyes searched for the attack they would find Kazuhiko on a nearby roof! He was grasping the shoulder of his prosthetic as steam poured forth from the spaces in between the plates. The arm was slow to lift, supported by his human hand. But when it did, the thumb shot up to let Iroka know it was going to be okay! Where Fuuko was, Kazuhiko was sure to follow! And now, whatever was putting his dear squadmate in danger was going to pay!

[Munemasa Iroka]

The orange-haired Shinigami almost threw up as the giant cockroach appeared before her. And that simply meant that she would not be quick enough to get away from its hand, which was reaching forward to grab her face. Okay, scratch that part, even if she wasn't trying to hurl the contents of her stomach out for all to see, this thing was way too fast for her to track. But just as it was about to grab her, a strange force seemed to sweep through the air towards the creature. It seemed like there was help from a new direction, but would that be enough to save her?

Hopefully, the roach would be stopped by the strange and new attack, but just in case it wasn't, the roach would notice that its hand would pass through Iroka's head, as though it had tried to grab a semiliquid substance. The now amorphous Shinigami would flow away from the site of combat, albeit at a slower pace than was expected, before reconstituting into Iroka's form, as she looked towards where she had heard a shout, possibly from the same direction as whatever had assailed the cockroach.

It was Kazuhiko, Fuuko's brother! "Kintaro-kun!" she yelled in glee, even as he gave her the thumbs-up sign. With the three of them, surely they would defeat this abomination. Sadly, having just reconstituted herself from the semiliquid state she had just been in, Iroka was unable to execute any more attacks at present. Still, she would be at the ready, just incase the cockroach wasn't down and out for the count.

Technique Type: Kidō - Bakudō - Bio-Reishi.

Description: By coursing Reishi throughout their entire body, the user can morph their physical makeup. There are two outcomes for this technique, Partial and Complete. Each has similar, yet different effects. Each has their own cost and drawbacks.
Partial: For 150 Reiatsu, the user can perform plastic surgery on themselves. Simple effects such as: reshaping facial features, recoloring the pigments of hair or skin, or the removal of excess weight. This ability cannot be used to provide enhanced qualities such as: increase bone or tissue density(Hierro-like effects or Physical stat increases), altering of internal organs(Sensory stat increases), the healing of injuries, or the production of new flesh(High Speed Regeneration effects).
Complete: For 300 Reiatsu, twice the usual amount, the user can turn their entire body into an animate, malleable slime. Able to pass through tiny cracks and able to move as a liquid.
Learned: The user may only activate the Partial effect.
Mastered: Physical stats are only reduced by 25% when using the Complete effect.
How to Use: Concentration. The user must focus Reiatsu into the portion of their body he wishes to alter.
Incantation: N/A.
Drawbacks: Requires at least 400 Healing Expertise. In addition, the Complete effects also: reduces both Physical stats by 50%, prevents the use of Cutback effects, and makes combat impossible for the user. Effects may remain active longer than one post if the half the cost to use the technique is paid each following post.

The heat of battle is something that many that hadn't bathed in its essence couldn't handle, despite being trained and versed to some degree both Fuuko and Iroka allowed the Beast insect to bypass every bit of training. In the next moment Iroka was going to die by the hands of the very thing that Fuuko had just injured. She'd allowed her emotionally response to this things blood to kill her friend. Fuuko would have to thank her brother perhaps more so now than ever before though as the Roach simply dropped to its knees in the next instant then her golden wave of reiatsu managed to catch the unconscious danger. A simple fluid slash would impact the back of the Roach's neck breaking through its shell while decapitating it.

An honorable death to most warriors yet one that many would believe this Roach didn't respect nor deserve. The small group of elite Shinigami would seemingly have a moment to convene now, exchange information and perhaps search the area once again for survivors. Everyone had either run away already or been so scared of this thing they'd broken down. Was this the fact of the matter or would they find something else? Although they were all relatively fresh shinigami they may have heard in the academy about the beast insects that'd been attacking in force in recent years, if so would they expect others or not?

Fuuko turned just in time to see Kazuhiko show up and paralyze the beast, causing it to be unable to dodge the sakugen. The blood that spewed from the head of the cockroach seeped into Shukketsubuki and as it did, the sword began to glow red until it formed into a large, two handed Odachi. The blade was nearly five foot long and the handle about half as long. It was curved and Fuuko set it on her shoulder as she watched the creature topple over. 

"Oi, Kazu!" She cried out and rushed over to him, practically bowling him over as she slammed into him and wrapped an arm around him, hugging him before turning and looking at Iroka. "Iroka-chan! Are you ok!?" She asked and let go of Kazu and rushed over to Iroka. She looked the orangette over and then glanced at the insect. She looked up. "We have ta make sure this bastard ain't the only one around here. What good would it do if we just let the villagers come back and these fuckers were just waitin fer us ta leave?" She asked. 

'Bleh! I hope they are all gone! I don't like the taste of their blood!' Shukketsubuki whined.

Fuuko then turned to Kazu again. "What the fuck're you doin out here anyway?" Fuuko asked. "Shouldn't you be makin sure no one else is gettin jumped? Or," Fuuko shrugged. "I dunno. Somethin?" It wasn't that Fuuko didn't want Kazu around. She just had a hard time looking at the strapping young lad in fvront of her. This man wasn't the Kazuhiko she knew and she didn't really know how to deal  with it. Not yet, at least.

Kazuhiko, Fuuko and Iroka, three Shinigami that had just stood their ground against one of the Roaches. A type of Beast clan that for the last few years had been constantly spreading, different from any other Beast clan in records. These things didn’t speak to anyone, they didn’t have any sort of goal based on what they were doing when found. Whenever they were seen they attacked places and people no differently than Hollows. The brutality was something beyond what even the most bloodthirsty would typically unleash. A single one had been nearly enough for these exceptional young Shinigami to nearly fail.

A single one that now lay on the ground, its head removed from the rest of its body, a body that now suddenly expanded in size, its shell cracking for a moment then bursting apart like glass. One moment the corpse was the size of a massive giant man and now it looked to be roughly that of a grizzly bear. Fuuko being only a few feet away would have to do something quick or at least that’s likely what it would seem. Only a moment or two later and the corpse would burst apart like a minor explosion. One of blood that carried with it a pungent smell.

Fuuko and Iroka would have a moment to speak and come up with a plan. Whether or not they really wanted to try scouting out the district to find survivors or if . . . . A hell butterfly coming down on Kazuhiko’s hand relaying a message. “Get out of there now! Dozens of signatures enclosing on position.” A moment to relay the message and now the three Shinigami would have known that the 80th District of the South was essentially lost. How could they keep out dozens of the Beasts that they just faced all at once.

A choice would have to be made as those Roaches wasted no time, beginning to wander into the streets of the district only a minute later. Would they stand and fight? Would help arrive to help them? What could that really do?

Iroka smiled as she watched Fuuko tackle Kazuhiko, before the blonde turned attention to her. "I'm absolutely fine, sis," the carrot-top answered, "though I might have been in a very rough spot if not for the Blondie Brigade. You and Kintaro-kun have my thanks." She patted herself down and nodded. "In any case, I'm ready to continue."

If there was one thing Iroka would have to pay a lot of attention to, moving forward, it was the fact that she had almost let her fear of bugs be the death of her. There was no space for dawdling, especially when these things were faster than she was. Even though they made her feel like throwing up, for the sake of this mission, Iroka knew she would have to fight down her disgust and keep herself on her toes. Otherwise, she would need to be saved again. And Iroka was no liability.

Or at least, she tried not to be. But her strength was not in physical combat. It really was a good thing that Fuuko was here to do what she did best. The ginger-haired girl's attention was suddenly drawn to the swelling corpse. "Oni-chan, look out!" she warned, giving the swelling corpse as much distance as she could, before it exploded. Even though she had avoided the disgusting blood, her nose was almost overwhelmed by the stench. "Eww."

And then the Hell Butterfly came. It seemed that the 80th District had been overrun. What could they do? Iroka looked at Fuuko and Kazuhiko, unable to hide her fear. If the encroaching enemies were anything like what they had just faced, how would they survive such an onslaught? But then again, if they just left and ran away, what if there were survivors? Would those be left to be butchered by the roaches?

"I think we need to find out if there are any remaining people in the area," the carrot-top said, her voice a little shaky, though there was a good deal of resolve in it. "We can't just leave the people of this district to be massacred by those things. Even if we can't fight them all, we can at least get to save some people. What do you guys think?" Even though the directive had been to flee, Iroka was sure she wouldn't be able to sleep that night if she did not at least make sure there were no others in danger.

[Satoshi Fuuko]

As Fuuko had a vice-grip on Kazu, waiting for an explanation, she had not noticed the swelling of the creature, but when Iroka shouted, she turned and immediately shoved Kazu behind her. She raised up her nodachi and watch the thing explode in a mass of pungent blood. "Gh!" Fuuko sneered, but reiatsu flowed from her, even as the blood trickled into Shukketsubuki. With a blink, the trickle became a more like a vacuum and all the flecks and the pool around it sucked into the red sword, causing it to glow and change, leaving the bug creature not much more than a bloodless husk. 

Fuuko glanced at her weapon, which changed into a long Padao, a curved Chinese blade that sat upon a pole, rather than the usual grip. That's when she noticed the Hell Butterfly and pursed her lips. The district was being overrun? She didn't have to think hard. She looked at Iroka and grinned, then looked down at Kazu. 

"Kazu... I need you to stay here. Protect this village in case any more of those ugly bastards show up. Tend to the wounded and direct anyone that shows up ta help our way. Iroka-chan and me are gonna head on up. She's right, we need ta make sure that anyone still alive stays alive. Plus, I'm gonna kill more of those bastards, heh!" Fuuko added with a gleam of her eye. She looked at Kazu and ruffled his hair. "Don't worry, you got the more important job." She insisted. 

Fuuko then turned and walked over to Iroka. "Ready, sis?" She said and then swatted Iroka's bum to spur her on before taking off in a run towards the district. "Last one there is bug food!" She chirped as she raced forward. Fuuko's heart was already racing. Adrenaline pumped through her at the thought of so much carnage. This might not be an enemy she could face off against and walk away from, but that just made the idea more exciting.

[Umaroth the Naga]

Something hurled through the air.

As Third-Seat Satoshi Fuuko expressed her excitement to continue the battle, the unmistakable sound of something hurling through the air passed over her head. It hit the ground with a hard crunch before rolling to a stop. Only a moment's inspection was needed. The body of yet another one of these creatures invading the district village. But this one was not the one that the Shinigami had killed. Its body was mangled and broken and darkened by burns. Deep, crimson glowing, lacerations tore open its chitinous form to reveal the disgusting insides within. The creature twitched. The ganglia were still active, trying to make the body move, but the damage done to the creature's form was too great. The roaches approaching Fuuko’s position from up the street also stopped.

Soulless black eyes stared unblinking in Fuuko’s direction. Their diminutive antennae wiggled back and forth. But they weren’t staring at Fuuko. Nor were they staring at the corpse of their packmate. It was something else they had their focus on. The ground suddenly shook. Then again. Then a third time. A consistent rhythm was felt in the earth, growing larger and larger with each tremor. As if something heavy was striking against the ground. Or like footsteps. Getting closer and closer by the second. The roaches shifted the weight they applied to their heels, readying themselves for whatever they were paying attention to.

”SKREEEEEOOOONK!!”

The roar echoed out across the entirety of the district village, drawing all eyes onto the source. From the direction of that challenging call was the distinct sight of a village in flames. Thick towers of black smoke rose up into the sky, born from a raging blaze that was consuming the wooden structures of the Rukon. Where did that fire come from? Where did a fire that massive come from? It was impossible to miss something like this. There was no way that any of the Shinigami here wouldn’t have noticed a fire this massive starting. Especially not one that was spreading this quickly. What’s more, there was something seen in those flames. A shifting shape with blossoming orange colors spawning in random patterns across its silhouette.

Two red lights glared out from the fireball as the wall of fire continued to approach the scene. The homes and buildings made of wood that lined either side of the street were being caught ablaze with such ridiculous ease. The wall of fire spread, growing closer and closer until an intersection in the road was reached. The fire was stopped, with nothing else to spread to, but that shifting shape continued forward. A black snout emerged from the flame and smoke. Two, glowing, hateful red eyes emerged afterward. A mouth full of sword-like teeth with two oversized fangs jutting upwards along its cheeks. A growl escaped from that maw, rumbling like boulders rolling down a mountain, as the dragon glared in the Shinigami’s direction.

Taking one more step forward, shaking the ground with the impact of its step, this thing that looked like a demon from Hell stood in the intersection. It was top-heavy. Leaning forward rather than standing straight up. This monster stood fourteen feet tall, easily peaking or standing over the homes and buildings. The orange color that was seen in those flames was now full visible. The same coloration was blooming across its arms in random patterns and spots similar to ripples on the water's surface. In its claws was a burning shape, another roach, that was dropped to the ground. The shimmering effect of high temperatures was visible around the monster. Those red eyes were staring ahead, glowing with rage and power. Suddenly it inhaled let out another, louder, roar, and charged. A roar of declaration. A roar of intent. Leaning forward, the dragon charged forward. Lumbering in Fuuko’s direction, having no intention of moving around her or telling her to move. The Shinigami were in the way. They were not what he wanted.

It had been purely happenstance. He had just been traveling through the area when a scent reached his nose. An oily, musty, smell that he had smelled once before. The same scent that he experienced years ago. The Naga had felt something was wrong. Something in his instincts was warning him that a threat was growing in the wilderness of the Rukongai. But he had no idea what it had been. Not until he first met these things. These creatures agitated his instincts. He knew he hadn’t seen the last of them. So the Naga trained. He forced himself to evolve. He forced his ability to become something new, something stronger, something unstoppable.

So they were still alive after all. They hadn’t been dealt with after all. Now the Naga understood the anxiety his instincts had been feeling. The Shinigami here did not know that they were now spectators to a war that began years ago. So the Naga charged.

{Yaseishin Techniques}

• Dragonblight: The first of Umaroth’s abilities is one appropriately named Dragonblight. When an enemy takes damage that is sourced from the claws and spikes on Umaroth’s arms and hands, the mold in a constant state of agitation that coats that portion of his body will cause a negative reaction against his opponent. Umaroth’s body is the only thing that’s able to handle the agitated state of this mold. When flesh is slashed by his mold covered blades and claws the agitated mold will immediately cauterize the injury. While the opponent won’t have to worry about bleeding to death, they will instead have to face the agonizing singing pain that even a 2 in Pain Tolerance will have trouble dealing with, but if they try to recover they will realize that these injuries cannot be healed. Dragonblight causes permanent injuries that cannot be regenerated from thanks to the cauterizing effects of the mold. Though, there is a way around this. For the few in the world that have invested in their healing abilities, they can brute force through the cauterization by spending reiatsu. If an opponent has 200 Healing Expertise, they can neutralize the anti-healing effect for only 150 reiatsu.
• Soul Cleave: The second portion of his release only applies when an opponent is injured and suffering from Dragonblight. Umaroth’s injuries do not just damage the physical, but assault the soul as well. When an opponent receives an injury from Umaroth that actually harms them, so not something like a scratch on the cheek, their very soul will also take damage. Every hit reduces the opponents maximum reiatsu total by a total equal to 50% of Umaroth’s highest spiritual stat (so if Umaroth has 300 SpPr, the opponents maximum reiatsu would be reduced by 150). If the enemies maximum reiatsu goes lower than their current reiatsu, the total reduces. In cases of multi-hit techniques, this ability only applies once.
• Purgatory: Now, the final portion of the release has to do with the extreme amounts of heat that’s being released by the agitated mold. The area around Umaroth makes someone understand what it’s like being in an oven. The area ten feet around Umaroth is as hot as a raging inferno and being within that range causes the opponent to begin suffering burns. If an opponent manages to remain within 7 to 10 feet of Umaroth, they will slowly begin to accrue first degree burns after being in that temperature for over a post. If the opponent is within 5 to under 7 feet from Umaroth, the intense heat will begin causing them second degree burns. This will occur after a post of staying this distance from him. What’s more, flammable objects will catch on fire. It’ll get hard to see with the heat drying out the opponents eyes. Those that are subject to this intense, scorching heat will find it harder to move their bodies as efficiently, and an inability to fight at their full potential. All costs are increased by 25%, as is someone’s physical stamina drain (i.e. moving at 800 Speed is more akin to moving at 1,000 Speed) But if an opponent is closer than 5 feet to the lizard, then things get bad. The heat being produced by the agitated, magma hued mold, will cause third degree burns across their body if they remain within 5 feet of the lizard. Points in Heat Tolerance will push back all tiers of burns for as many posts as the user has ranks in the skill. Alongside mitigating the burn damage, they will be able to resist the other debilitating effects of Purgatory. 2 Ranks in Heat Tolerance ignore the debilitating effects.

So the Shinigami were going to continue doing their best to save as many citizens of the Rukongai as possible despite what they’d just been told via the Hell Butterfly. A noble choice although wouldn’t really amount to anything if they didn’t survive. At the very moment that Fuuko and Iroka began to move throughout the district once more dozens of Roaches were entering, now looking into many of the wooden shacks yet knowing the location of what they smelled.

The roaches weren’t limited to coming in just one direction though a fact that might have actually worked against them as a new entity made itself known. Umaroth, a lizard with a bad attitude who was ready to unleash his aggression on those he knew form the past deserved it. His Yaseishin cooking not just the flesh of the Roach he’d already crossed, but the district itself. Shacks of wood in a wide unison began to set ablaze. The Shinigami were here to save souls and yet now on that front at least things were getting worse.

It only took a couple of seconds for more than a half dozen shacks to be completely alight, the heat coming off Umarth heating up the dirt ground to the point that it would burn any regular person easily. A walking wood stove with anger issues was now smack in the middle of the problems for the Shinigami. The Roaches though in their stoic almost singular thought wasted no time charging inwards. It would only take a couple of moments for Fuuko and Iroka to be surrounded, two separate Roaches charging at Fuuko at the same time coming at her from the tenth and fourth positions.

These two Roaches moved like sprinters ready to slam themselves shoulder first into Fuuko. They weren’t the only ones though, Iroka would have to deal with one Roach that would suddenly approach breaking through the wood of a shack at the seventh position charging right for her. This one wasn’t going to slam into her, but instead reach out and grab her body. Whatever it could grab first it would yank, potentially pulling it from the rest of her body. A pull followed by using her body like a hammer smashing her over and over again on the ground. If either of them staved off the assault they still had the problem of two more Roaches dropping down from the air ready to slam down on them with overhead arm slams.

Umaroth on the other hand was seen more as a problem to the area these things wanted to claim for themselves, unlike the Shinigami he was ruining something they wanted. It was for this reason that it wouldn’t take more than a couple of moments for a Roach to appear in front of Umaroth, its right arm coming up ready to punch his lower torso up into his ribcage. The next moment though, another Roach using shunpo just like the first to punch out at Unaroth’s muzzle. Finally a large boulder of stone hurled through the air aimed for Umaroth’s left leg thrown by a Roach standing about twenty feet back.

They were dealing with more of them now, but not all. They’d seen the average, the normal, could they survive to see the exceptional?

Iroka responded to Fuuko's slap on the rear with a yelp, and attempted a similar retaliatory gesture, sadly too late, as Fuuko had already begun to move. "Hey, Oni-chan! Wait up!!" the ginger-haired girl called out after her squadmate, as she gave chase. "I don't understand. Isn't it more likely that the first person to arrive is more likely to be bug food than the last? Unless the bugs come from behind when we're running, in which case you have a point."

In any case, Iroka surmised, Fuuko was less likely to become bug food than she was. But if she was made bug food, then how would she help the people stranded in the district? More importantly, there were much more preferrable things to kill and eat her, Hollows included. Not cockroaches. It was unacceptable for her to meet her end at the hands and as the lunch of a cockroach. No matter how modified. No matter how big.

It hadn't been any great amount of time since the two Yonbantai squaddies began to run, that a strange form whizzed over the heads of them both, crashing to the ground a scant few feet away from Iroka. She looked down at the corpse of the cockroach. It had been mangled, probably by some great beast. And it had definitely been exposed to great temperature. Iroka turned her gaze from the corpse to her friend, noticing that the cockroaches which had been coming towards them had stopped, watching for a new arrival.

It was said that the enemy of one's enemy was one's friend. However, it remained to be seen if this newcomer was going to be friendly. The sudden conflagration and the shriek did not particularly sound like whoever was responsible for those was going to be big in the hugs category, anyways. But more importantly, how did the fire get there? Iroka was sure that even if she didn't see the flames when she had come into the area, she would have at least picked up the scent of burning.

There was something in the flames. It was huge. It was menacing. It was mean. And it was angry. Iroka's eyes and mouth slowly widened, as she saw the hellscape before her. And then, in almost a whisper, she said in what seemed to be a voice cowed into whispering by overwhelming fear: "Oh... my... goodness..."

"GOJIRAAAA!!!!!!!" That last part was an exuberant scream, as the ginger almost went wild with excitement. "Oni-chan!!! It's GO-JI-RAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!" Of course, the proper question a sane person would be asking was why anyone would be delighted to see Godzilla in the flesh. Well, no one could be sure Iroka was the definition of sane. "I knew it! I knew that nuclear rice-cooker of a lizard was real!" She whooped, punching a fist in the air...

...then paused. If they were supposed to be saving people, wasn't the nuclear rice-cooker of a lizard making their work harder by burning everything in the area? And as the giant burning lizard began drawing closer, Iroka began to be reminded why she did not like hot weather. She vainly tried to fan herself with one of her hands, as her breath became heavier. "I need a cold bath-- ONI-CHAN, LOOK OUT!!!"

For some initially undisclosed reason, the lizard charged them. Iroka sprang out of the way, soon realizing with some measure of relief that the lizard seemed to be more interested in the cockroaches than the Shinigami. But there seemed to be little time to relax. The cockroaches, for their own part, had seemed to take everything in stride, attacking everything that was not cockroach. That included herself. Even as she saw Fuuko being assailed by two opponents, the sound of wood crashing behind her alerted the carrot-top to danger.

As Iroka turned partially, she was already thrusting out her arm. "Aorenge: Mekajiki!" From her 'leopard fist', a pulse of reiatsu surged forward, aimed at the intersection of chitin on the cockroach's chest, hopefully stopping its advance, while punching a hole through the weak points of its armor. Still, there was no leeway to relax. Another roach descended from the air, swinging down at Iroka. She had no space to dodge; she would have to weather the hit and make a quick counter.

Iroka held up her left arm, clenching her fist, to take the blow on her left forearm which had been positioned to shield her head from the attack. Still, being not by any means built for strength, Iroka found herself forced painfully to her knees. Another person would probably have lost their composure, but Iroka knew how to manage pain, and so, without skipping a beat, aimed her free hand at her attacker, even as she mentally chanted the incantation of a spell. "Hadō #63: Raikōhō!"

Iroka angled the arm she had used to fire the kidō in such a way that the lightning blast would hopefully not take its initial target alone. As the Raikōhō was a spell with great destructive range, she would try to move it such that it plowed into where it seemed to Iroka that the cockroaches massed thickest. And immediately, she would change position, even as she tried to make sure she was not being targeted for being stationary. At the same time, a green glow emanated from the hand she had used to fire off her kidō, as the ginger tried to heal up the injury she had received from parrying the cockroach's blow.

Description: Considered the twin of Tansashō, but differing in that a palm is not used, the practitioner projects reiatsu from a limb to deal damage or enhance motion up to range of up to 10 meters. It is more versatile than Tansashō in the ways it can be used. As this technique utilizes reiatsu to attack, it does not require strength to deal damage, as is expected of a Shintenken technique. The varying styles with which reiatsu may be projected to perform are as follows:
Mekajiki (Swordfish): This is done with the hand in a "leopard fist". The pulse of reiatsu is pointed like a spear, allowing it to punch through an opponent, instead of sending them flying
Fuetsu (Axe): This is executed as a chop, and may even be utilized using the leg, with the reiatsu forming a blade-like projection to cause slashing/chopping damage
Hōdan (Cannon shell): Reiatsu is suddenly expelled from both feet which are planted on the ground, resulting in the user being launched at an opponent. Very useful for closing distance and making unexpected attacks. Does not increase speed, but can facilitate an attack when one isn't expected e.g. when the user is seemingly off-balance.
Each form is learned with increase in proficiency. At Learned, user can use Mekajiki. Fuetsu is usable at Proficient, and Hōdan is usable at Mastered.
How to Use: User gathers reiatsu and expels it from a body part.
Drawbacks: The major drawback of this technique is its range, which is a maximum of 10 meters. Also can only be used by Shintenken practitioners (must have at least 1 SkP devoted to Hakuda: Shintenken as a skill). Hōdan does not make its user invulnerable, and they will be hurt if a counterattack is made against them.

Incantation and Effect: “Sprinkled on the bones of the beast! Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle!” With the incantation, this spell gets a 25% increase in Reiatsu Strength (i.e. if Reiatsu Strength is 100, this is treated as 125 with incantation).

[Satoshi Fuuko]

Fuuko wasn't about to explain why the last one there would be bug food to Iroka. Even if Iroka understood, they didn't have time and, there was probably no convincing her of it anyway with how literal she took everything. She just needed to be off to protect the village, but even before she could get a good stride going, she felt the rumble on the ground making her pause for a brief second, but only  a second. What made her stop was the mangled corpse of the bug creature that slammed into the ground. The twisted, smoking mass made Fuuko screech to a halt.

"The fuuuck?!" 

"It's dead, but it's not bleeding!" Came the voice of Shukketsubuki.

"I see that-" Fuuko said just as the screech trumpeted through the village and towards the pair. What came from the earth shaking was nothing more than a gigantic lizard-like monster, burning everything in its wake and charging straight for them. 

"Fuck, it is Gojira." Fuuko was in awe as much as Iroka until she felt the wave of heat that was herlading Umaroth's arrival. She raised her arm, then felt the presence of more roaches. "Fuck! This is a shit show!" She snapped and looked at Umaroth. "Why the fuck you brunin down the village, asshole!?" She barked. She had an idea but she needed to... do something. 

"Fuck this." She growled. Fuuko ran towards Umaroth and jammed her polearm into the ground. She then used shunpo to fling herself up and over the gigantic beast, leaving it to fend off the approaching roaches. Fuuko was more worried about the village, so as she skidded after landing back on the ground,  darted back towards it As she ran,  she whipped Shukketsubuki into the air. 

"Raining blood!" She shouted and instantly red clouds formed. Blood rain began spewing from them. Hopefully the rain could put of the village fires quicker than anything else. They could also hopefully, heal any wounded that might have been injured by Umaroth's rampage. As she ran, Shukketsubuki dropped from the sky and landed in Fuuko's hand, this time it was in the shape of a blood red kunai. 

She spared one glance back at Iroka to make sure her sworn sister was ok. "Oi Sis! Let me know if you need help!" Fuuko barked. She gripped the handle of her weapon tightly. She was not just worried about the villagers but the other Shinigami, and Kazu as well.

{Raining Blood}-レイニングブラッド (Raining Blood): Fuuko hurls Shukkestusbuki in the air and it releases all but 1 point of its stored up blood and returns to its [First stage]. It begins to rain blood in a 50ft. Radius around Fuuko. The blood that pours from the created cloud has been cleansed and purified by Shukketsubuki and has been transformed into a universal donor type. Infused with Reiatsu, it will, at any cost, try and replace old blood with itself, and reinvigorate and rejuvenate. Unfortunately, since it is not sentient rain, it does not know when or how to stop when it has completed its task, nor does it know friend from foe.

When Raining Blood is used, the ground becomes thick with the sludgy blood. For those inside the radius (except for Fuuko), it becomes difficult to move around. Step Techniques cost an additional amount of reiatsu = to the amount of blood drained from the pool [Capping at 25% of the original cost of the technique). Fuuko gains an equivalent boost to speed (Movement only) with the same cap.

Each round, each level wound is healed one step (Minor cuts are healed. (Knicks, cuts, scrapes, etc.), Gashes, deep cuts and other minor wounds become superficial, Major wounds close up. Lost limbs will start to grow back, Fatal Injuries can be halted).

Each time a wound is healed it creates a blood boils that spew out a blood globule. Each blood globule can be "loaded" into Shukketsubuki and used for free [Blood Bullets] later. Fuuko can combine Blood Boil globules however she likes, as long as they do not exceed her normal [Blood Bullet] parameters. The globules = [100 Strength] and [100 Speed] for each level of wound healed. Superficial, etc. [100], Minor, [200], Major, [300], Fatal [400].

Any wound that is healed and spits out a globule continues to be marred by small boil-patches (spitting out a globule each turn as old, bad blood is expelled from the body). These wounds always count as being "open wounds" and "superficial wounds" while inside the Blood Rain.

All unspent globules are expectorated when Shukketsubuki is sealed again and become useless.

Additionally, Fuuko can stow Shuuketsubuki and choose to wrap her fists in the globules. The rain coats her fists in a way that looks like she is wearing blood red MMA gloves when she does this. Punches are increased in Strength and Speed by the amount of globules spent. (In this instance a "punch" is considered one swing by each arm. i.e. a right, left combination) before it's used up. (These increases can never go past 3x OS)

The Blood Rain lasts for one post per 25 points drained from the pool, or until the Shikai is up. (Whichever comes first). If Fuuko extends the shikai, the Blood Rain is also extended. Fuuko can syphon new blood into the cloud to extend it, but at a rate of [50] Blood Points per additional post. (Shukketsubuki does not like to drink blood she has cleansed, so it's harder to find "tainted" blood to spew into the sky)

The aura literally soaks clouds in blood and can be affected in the way clouds are. If Fuuko moves, the aura moves towards her, but at a clouds pace [Speed 300], unless 100 Reiatsu is spent to speed it up to catch up and/or follow Fuuko.

If the Cloud is affected by non-natural wind powers, Fuuko can resist it with OS and spending 100 Reiatsu. If there is natural wind, Fuuko can instead spend [100 Reiatsu] to keep the cloud in place. This ability can be used on a cloudless, sunny day or even indoors. It is only affected by natural weather after it is used. The clouds are formed by using the ability if there are none.

When Blood Rain Ends, any Blood Boils fall off, leaving a patch of dry, itchy skin (if healed from a superficial wound) for a few minutes)

[Umaroth the Naga]

The Naga was not blind. He could see them. He knew they were there. Even amongst the fire and smoke, even with his mortal foes before his eyes, the Naga spotted the two women between him and the swarm. But he did not abate his charge. He did not falter. Heavy footsteps one after another sounded the Naga’s charge. Though the Shinigami women were not his targets, or even his foes, the Naga would not move for them. He would not be stopped. Their options were simple. Remain there and be crushed. Attack the Naga and be crushed. Or get out of his way. With wooden homes with straw ceilings on either side of him again as he rushed forward the heat produced by the fungus that colonized the lengths of his arms began to catch the flammable structures on fire. The Shinigami were the ones who wanted to save this village. Not Umaroth. He was here for one simple reason;

To destroy.

They decided to move. Umaroth noticed the two Shinigami chose to move out of his path. Smart decision on their part. The lumpering lizard barreled past them, the heat from his mold undoubtedly being felt by them, letting out another bellowing roar as he approached his prey. But suddenly Umaroth noticed movement. A dark brown form suddenly rushing in front of him. Right arm in motion. Umaroth saw it, recognized it, and reacted. When the arm began to extend outwards as a punch, the Naga lowered his head with insane speed and clamped his jaws down onto the arm. Sharpened, enlarged, sword like fangs tore through the chitinous substance. Tongue tasted the foul tasting blood and meat. Umaroth yanked his head upwards, dragging the roach with him, and began to shake his head left and right like a dog with the intention of tearing its arm off.

But before the gruesome act could be completed a second roach interfered. A solid strike right into the Naga’s lower jaw while he was mid-shake. The blow was hard enough to loosen Umaroth’s jaw, letting the other slip free, and send Umaroth crashing into a household on his left. Crashing through thatch and wood into a messy debris pile. But what the roaches would notice, if they were even intellectually capable of it, was that getting close to Umaroth was like trying to get close to a roaring furnace. The roach that had been in Umaroth’s jaws, especially, had third degree burns all across its exoskeleton exposing burned chunks of insectoid meat.

The house Umaroth fell onto was ablaze now. The debris suddenly exploded outwards as Umaroth rose back up, roaring into the air, before noticing the rock heading his way. With a snarl, Umaroth would turn himself slightly and smash his large tail against the rock shattering it into dozens of pieces and dust. Snarling and narrowing his glowing red eyes at the roach twenty feet away, Umaroth turned his oversized head back to the other two roaches. One incredibly damaged and the other unharmed. He lunged. Maw wide open and those glowing arms extended outwards. The unharmed roach tried to back up, but was unsure from what of the three presented angles Umaroth was going to attack from.

Umaroth swung his left arm horizontally. The Naga’s sharpened talons slashed across the insects belly, tearing apart the exoskeleton. But no organs came spilling out. The horrific sound of sizzling meat came from the injury and inspection would reveal that the terrible wound was immediately cauterized. Burned shut by the effect the mold growing on his arms. Backhanding the roach with the backside of his left hand, Umaroth stepped forward and slammed his right fist down onto the second roach. The impact created a loud crunch. Scooping the body out of the dirt, Umaroth turned his attention to the third roach and hurled the burnt body of its fellow swarm member directly at it. If the impact landed, the third roach would be hit hard.

Breaching through the wooden shake seemed to be the undoing of the first Roach, as Iroka responded by sending her arm out like a trained martial artist. The only difference happened to be that there was a distance between her hand and the Roach that was rushing her. One moment the Roach reached out only centimeters away from its hard fist knocking Iroka’s head clean off her shoulders. Suddenly though its fist stopped like the rest of its body. Looking down at its chest took the last second of its life witnessing the large hole through its chest. Iroka’s raw power was enough to pierce right through the chitin shell.

What happened next though was something Iroka didn’t seem prepared for, raising her arm in defense didn’t provide much aid though due to her lack in muscle. The result would be Iroka suffering her left arm snapping downwards. Her forearm broke in multiple places due to the larger size of the Roach. Not only would she have to deal with an immense degree of pain, but using or even moving that arm now would be a nightmare if it was even possible. Iroka though proved that she was worthy of her position despite the wound with a swift execution of kido.

Out of nowhere a massive wave of electricity was fired off right at the Roach burning away the chitin covering the front of its body. One moment the Roach standing over Iroka needed but a moment to crush her body, the next its form was enveloped by the lightning produced by her kido. Iroka would be able to see the massive form reduced to ash while her nostrils were assaulted by the wretched scent of burned Roach. She wouldn’t have time to focus on her broken arm though as the shake started to burst apart as stones came flying through smashing everything one after another.

Roaches had seen the large discharge of lightning and now were throwing stones dug from the dirt ground one after another. Two Roaches both standing thirty feet away with no line of sight on Iroka. She’d have to decide what she could do quickly before they got lucky and landed a hit on her. Fuuko on the other hand used her zanpakuto and shunpo to clear the distance fast while causing a rain of blood that would heal others close by, it would have to work on her though.

Shouting off to Iroka was the moment when a massive hand clasped around Fuuko’s own and her zanpakuto hilt. Squeezing on her hand immediately she’d feel the pressure. The Roach’s weren’t physically stronger than her, but they had her beat in size. A single hand was large enough to encompass her face, so surrounding her hand was nothing. A squeeze then a punch directed right at her face by the Roach in front of her. Right afterwards though she’d have to deal with another falling down at her like one had just attacked Iroka. Planning on swinging downward with both hands clasped together to crush her head from behind.

Umaroth burned everything around him, hot enough that even the blood raining down on the area was already beginning to bubble and boil within moments. The assault after Umaroth had been knocked down went without a problem for the large lizard. The Roach that he bit though backed off more than anticipated and then when the third was thrown it wouldn’t fly as far as Umaroth envisioned. Umaroth was physically stronger than they were but not by an overwhelming degree. Still it remained true that these three were proving themselves better than the majority that the Roaches came across.

The thrown Roach would bounce across the dirt road until it slammed through one of the wooden shacks. That was when the real threat stepped forward, a Roach much larger than the typical, broader shoulders, taller, more muscular with a pitch black chitin shell. Appearing after utilizing shunpo right next to the Roach that had been bitten. Grabbing hold of the injured Roach’s arm and ripping it off like tearing apart wet paper. The burning mold made contact with the Roach and the massive figure smiled.

It was certainly a bad idea to go trying to counter the jumping attack of the cockroach, that had gone for her, by blocking. As someone who was very well versed in healing (probably the best in Seireitei), Iroka immediately knew her arm had been broken, in multiple places, no less. Still, as someone who could take a lot more pain than was expected, she had been quick enough to cast her retaliatory spell. The result managed to fry the cockroach that had attacked her. A good conclusion, as far as she was concerned, but for the smell.

That thing stank to high heaven. Iroka felt like throwing up at the stench the electrocuted creature's body gave off. But she managed to hold it down. Now was not the time to be getting queasy or bothered about smells. Her opponents could kill her in a single move. As such, Iroka knew she had to remain vigilant.

The sight of a flying rock hurtling from the air towards her made Iroka realize she wouldn't be taking care of her arm as soon as she had wanted to. Quickly moving out of the way, she saw another rock follow. From the trajectory of the rocks, whatever was throwing them could not really see where she was. She would not bother attacking them, Instead using Shunpo to move out of the area which the cockroaches were bombarding with rocks. They could enjoy the rock throwing exercise for the meantime. Iroka had more pressing matters, including her arm and the burning village.

Fuuko's blood rain was a good idea, though it seemed that the blood wasn't enough to cool the fiery rage of the giant lizard. Still, the blonde's technique served a useful purpose, as Iroka could dart beneath the shower. Even though she did not like the aesthetics of the technique, as she was covered in blood, the carrot-top would ignore her discomfort at being soaked in blood. The blood had healing properties, and that was what Iroka needed. All the while, she would augment the blood healing with her own healing aura.

Iroka was about to reply to Fuuko that she was fine, when a Roach suddenly came out of nowhere and grabbed Fuuko's wrist. Iroka responded by using Shunpo to relocate to the side of the cockroach's arm that was holding Fuuko, and executed a karate chop. A bright blue crescent of reiatsu followed her descending hand, aiming to cut through the cockroach, from it shoulder across its body to the other side of its waist. In a quick follow-up, she performed the same technique, but this time, via a high kick. Her aim was to catch the cockroach jumping at Fuuko and bifurcate it before it hit her sworn sister.

All this while, Iroka would keep her senses peeled for any new attacks. There were still other cockroaches to be dealt with, so she could not drop her vigilance. Especially as her injured arm, though much better, was not fully healed. The new giant creature that emerged did not seem like an improvement to things. Still, hopefully Gojira would be able to hold it until the Shinigami had handled their own mess.

Description: Considered the twin of Tansashō, but differing in that a palm is not used, the practitioner projects reiatsu from a limb to deal damage or enhance motion up to range of up to 10 meters. It is more versatile than Tansashō in the ways it can be used. As this technique utilizes reiatsu to attack, it does not require strength to deal damage, as is expected of a Shintenken technique. The varying styles with which reiatsu may be projected to perform are as follows:
Mekajiki (Swordfish): This is done with the hand in a "leopard fist". The pulse of reiatsu is pointed like a spear, allowing it to punch through an opponent, instead of sending them flying
Fuetsu (Axe): This is executed as a chop, and may even be utilized using the leg, with the reiatsu forming a blade-like projection to cause slashing/chopping damage
Hōdan (Cannon shell): Reiatsu is suddenly expelled from both feet which are planted on the ground, resulting in the user being launched at an opponent. Very useful for closing distance and making unexpected attacks. Does not increase speed, but can facilitate an attack when one isn't expected e.g. when the user is seemingly off-balance.
Each form is learned with increase in proficiency. At Learned, user can use Mekajiki. Fuetsu is usable at Proficient, and Hōdan is usable at Mastered.
How to Use: User gathers reiatsu and expels it from a body part.
Drawbacks: The major drawback of this technique is its range, which is a maximum of 10 meters. Also can only be used by Shintenken practitioners (must have at least 1 SkP devoted to Hakuda: Shintenken as a skill). Hōdan does not make its user invulnerable, and they will be hurt if a counterattack is made against them.
