Plotline:

Each member of this adventure was living their best life up until they decided to sleep or rest in some capacity. Upon waking up, somehow, the group finds themselves inside a helicarrier, specifically in an officer berthing. Deep within the helicarrier the group will quickly realize there is no easy way out, they must fight through hordes of enemies and scour the ship to determine what exactly is preventing them from leaving. In the meanwhile, though, something is watching. Waiting for the opportunity to strike. Chaos will ensue on this helicarrier, can the group work together and stop it or will they be consumed by the strange events going on board the ship?



Estimated Enemy Strength:

Mobs - The enemies will start at class 6 with 200 SP. At certain intervals of posts the mobs will increase in power.

Mini-bosses - Minimum class 4 while at maximum class 2. Don't expect too many of these.

Final boss - Class 1, rank 3.

Special Conditions:

- There is no means of teleporting out of the helicarrier. Pocket dimensions work but will always return the user to the ship.

- Mobs will grow in power as time goes on. This is both in class and SP.

- Be mindful of what powers are used. The ship can be damaged. Events can and will happen if the ship takes damage. If too much total damage occurs the ship will crash with the players inside it.

As mentioned in the plotline section of the info post every character was previously in their resident domain. However, at some point, the world went black, and everyone ended up asleep. Unaware of who or more specifically what was going onto them. Perhaps in the back of their mind they will sense that something is wrong but that will feel so far away that it wouldn't be worthwhile to investigate. . . That is until the world around everyone shakes and rumbles. The shaking is intense and while it doesn't throw off anyone from their beds it is enough to jolt everyone awake. This would be when they realize that they are anywhere but their former residence.

Instead, all the characters would be in an officer berthing. The room was spacious enough. Far more than one might expect there to be on a military ship. The beds actually looked like beds albeit small, this would be most notable to Serenity and Charlotte who were in the same rack and frankly. . . squished together. Shio may be the only one who actually had enough space depending on the body they were in prior to being brought to this berthing. Meanwhile Ailene and her draconic companion would be snug but not cramped together.

The room however was incredibly cold and was pitch black at first. That, however, would change as the entire room and by proxy the ship itself would shake violently. Though the objects in the room did not fall down, due to being bolted to the ground, the drawers opened things inside them flew out and it felt like the vessel everyone was on was shifting and moving around. Eventually this settled down and became even again but by this point most if not all on board the ship should be woken up.

And just in case we've got heavy sleepers an alarm would go off. Clearly automated with bells ringing every couple seconds. This would be loud and would reverberate throughout the ship as a whole. This allowed for those of keen senses to hear the bells repeat from the hallways nearby as the alarms went off at slightly different intervals. After what felt like a small eternity with the ringing and shaking everything would calm for a moment and emergency lights would turn on giving the room a dull white light. In place of the former ringing however was an automated message. "Actual Casualty. Actual Casualty. Forward, Starboard engine failure and Aft, Port engine failure. I repeat. Actual Casualty. Actual Casualty. Forward, Starboard engine intermittent failure and Aft, Port engine intermittent failure. All crew man your battle stations." This message would repeat for four more times before also going quiet.

The room was quiet and cold now. There was no shaking but if someone has 300 or more senses, they would very distantly be able to hear the sounds of machines slowing down be before picking up again. But along with this would be something else. . . there would be an odd slow sound. Almost like moving water but more solid. This too was distant but slowly getting closer? It was hard to tell if it was going further away or getting closer as it was hard to pinpoint. That aside things seemed calm enough for the time being so the ball was in the groups court.

Ugh, I had such a rough day. All that anyone in Las Noches thinks about is; "Rank Challenge" this, and "Worthy of Espada" that. Screw them! I'm starting to see why Ailene detested being the Septima so much. Imagine having to spend every other day in your home swatting flies that kept barging through your door, it eventually reaches a point for anyone where you'd have had enough of it. As for me myself, the strongest there is, it happens by the hour!

What exactly, they said, that was the problem again? "I'm not even an Arrancar", boo-hoo. Of course I'm not. I'm a Hollow, mush-for-brains! Talk about being insecure. Next thing you know, I'm going to have unsolicited protests outside my quarters after I finally get it through to their soft-serve heads that I'm not going anywhere. One of these days, pronto! Maybe that would be a good thing, because I could blast them in one fell swoop and call it a day.

Speaking of which, I'd like to hibernate for a bit; even the strongest Hollows like a rest every once in awhile. I don't usually need to, but I'm going to just to pass the time anyway. - Just like so, the Septima nestles herself beside the fireplace in her quarters; largely unchanged as Ailene had left it. Closing her eyes shut and drifting away into a slumber-like state known only to Mod Souls. However, it is incredibly short lived.

Crash - Bang; whoosh~!
"GYAAAAHHH"

Upon being jolted awake, Shio takes a long moment to yell in frustration. Eyes closed shut. Not only does her voice carry loudly throughout the carrier, but there's also something not quite right about her situation. At first, she tries to raise her head to sit up from laying down; and then all too abruptly, smacks her head against something that felt like a metal wall. Upon opening those azure eyes, it is pitch black, it triggers a sense of PTSD in her.

"I'M NOT A TOY, GET ME THE &$%^ OUT OF THIS BOX, PUT ME DOWN!!!" - the three very first reactions she has to the situation at large upon regaining her consciousness, spoken like a trained reflex; a self-defense mechanism. "YOU'LL BE REAL SORRY WH-" Before Shio finishes her last words, the drawer that she was trapped within flies open, and with it, she is flung over to the furthest wall in the room. Haphazardly is she crushed between it and pelted by a few other loose objects within, thankfully she is unharmed though, owing to her cotton constitution.

As much could not be said of her pride though, which was as flattened as she was; having bounced off the wall, and then pinned underneath the drawer she had arrived on scene with. An unfamiliar voice and instructions ring out from the intercom, but the doll remains quiet throughout the whole four times it plays in her lupine ears. Only when silence returns to the space that Shio is in, does she clamor to lift the drawer off and get back on her feet. The Septima dusts her petite body off, and graciously folds her arms.

It appeared as though she were pretending what had just happened did not occur, or perhaps she were trying to get a gauge of her situation; and failing. In all likelihood, a combination of both. Still though, her expression bespoke that of supreme confidence. Even though in contrary to the truth; she had no idea what all this was.

[Charlotte & Serenity Buckner]

With a residual pounding pain laced throughout her entire head, Charlotte held tightly against her forehead while she sat up. Groaning softly to herself, the girl needed a moment to herself in order to try to comprehend just what had happened. As she did, slowly opening her eyes, it seemed Serenity was similarly responding. Placing both hands on her head, the younger of the Espada sisters let out a similarly pained whine. "Charloooote," she groaned, almost rolling her head in a circle all the while, "what happened?"

"Ugh," the older of the two sounded, glancing around the room the two of them had been in, trying to peer through the inky darkness, "wish I could say. Last thing I remember was being in that store with you." In truth, that had been exactly where the two were at the time. Walking up and down the aisles of a Target, trying to pick Serenity out an end-of-summer outfit. The girl loved to dress herself up; who was Charlotte to say no? If she was able to afford it - which, in the elder's mind, frankly sounded ludicrous - then shopping was within free-range. Charlotte didn't like that Serenity wanted to do things legitimately like that, but again, she wasn't going to fight her sister on that.

As the ship itself began to rock, and the lights eventually flickered on, both girls were forced to squint while they got used to the difference in light. Lord, it certainly wasn't a pleasant experience to deal with, what with Las Noches' perpetual daytime. Nonetheless, it was one they'd be forced to deal with; thankfully though, it was one they were able to ease into. Unlike the blaring alarms that followed shortly thereafter, nearly scaring the second life out of the younger two. With a loud yelp, and a quick clinging to Charlotte, Serenity made ample use of the close space between the two of them. In turn, Charlotte threw an arm around her sister in an effort to comfort her while the ship similarly shook about.

"What on earth-" just as soon as Serenity had gone to speak, she was immediately cut off by a rather notable shouting echoing through the ship, and the launch of a plushie from across the room. In turn, another scream sounded from the younger girl, driving her further into her sister in fright. "Easy now," Charlotte spoke, uncharacteristically soft in voice, "everything is going to be okay, I promise you." She gave her sister another soft smile while the two took a moment to process whatever had been going on. In truth, it was incredibly hard to say.

As the recording began to blare throughout the room, both girls let out a sigh, perfectly in-sync with one another. Given their time before they'd passed away, the ship terminology hadn't gone to waste; they'd known quite easily that they were aboard some kind of vessel. Though, given the design, perhaps something in the sky? Neither knew for certain, but it seemed that was the most likely bet. As the two eventually got off of their bunk - Serenity leading, with Charlotte following soon behind, both girls began to scout about the room wherever they were able to. Take in any information they could, and prepare appropriately.

As the girls' eyes turned appropriate shades of black & red, they both prepped themselves for the worst. Though, Serenity made an effort to scurry over toward the plushie that had ended up launching across the room, while Charlotte readied herself on the off-chance that whatever had brought them here was ready to fight given they'd awoken. As the younger of the two made her way over toward Shio, she spoke softly to the plushie. "Heya, I wanted to make sure, are you okay?"

{Aka no Kōkei (赤の光景 - 'Red Spectacle') - Physical Variant Used}Technique Name: Aka no Kōkei (赤の光景 - 'Red Spectacle')

Technique Element: Blood/Body

Technique Description and Effects: By focusing on the eyes, users of Aka no Kōkei are able to enhance their sensory capabilities by a small margin. This technique comes in two separate variants; one Spiritual, and one Physical, chosen upon learning the technique. Both function identically to one another, but come with different costs and drawbacks. When mastered, both variants of Aka no Kōkei are available for use interchangeably with one another as the user sees fit.

What Aka no Kōkei does is rather simple; it allows the user the ability to perceive the world around them in a different light; both literally and figuratively. While active, Aka no Kōkei tints the user's vision red as their eyes visibly change; the user's irises will turn a bright red, and sclera jet black. This change lasts for the full duration of this technique. During this technique's duration, provided the user has Skill Points currently unspent, they will be able to redeem a number of those points for temporary points in Battle Focus; up to one Rank for Classes 8-6, two Ranks for Classes 5-2, and three Ranks for Class 1. At any point, users of Aka no Kōkei can choose to activate in one or both eyes, and/or use this technique cinematically. With Mastery of this technique, users can opt into keeping their sclera white.

How to use technique: Either channel Reiatsu into the eyes for the Spiritual variant, or tense the muscles around the eyes for the Physical variant.

Technique Drawbacks: Given this technique puts such a strain on the user's vision, their Senses are treated as 10% lower than they normally are for the duration of this technique, when relying on sight. Attacks made against the eyes with this technique active are doubly as effective. The Spiritual variant of this technique costs 75 reiatsu per post to maintain, whereas the Physical variant will slowly eat away at the user's physical stamina, and requires 1 Rank in Bleeding Tolerance. When used cinematically, this technique has no cost nor drawbacks, but does not gain any of the benefits listed above and instead only changes the appearance of the user's eyes. Costs 75 TTP per stage to learn, and learning this technique teaches every Class.

[Ailene Haschiro]

Soft footfalls quietly sounded throughout the hallway which led to one of Rēgīna's many backrooms. Ailene pace was painfully lethargic. She'd raise her hand, gasping at the door handle after a few failed attempts. Her hand sleepily pushed against the door until after a few moments she would finally find herself successful. Light from the corridor flooded the otherwise dimly lit room, revealing the small confines of Ailene's room within Rēgīna. It had just enough room for one person to comfortably move within in without shifting any of the furniture or contents unnecessarily. Unfortunately, Ailene was far from alone as a small draconian form followed in her shadow.

The girl looked upon the bed and without a single word fell over onto the bouncy cushions. She groaned for a moment, but her mind was roaring with bliss. "Ugh! How I missed you..." Today was a particularly stressful day at work. Traffic in and out of the Tea House, needing to restock some depleted loose tea, and just getting poor sleep over the past few days certainly took its toll on the Fullbringer. By comparison, Mélusine was extremely well rested. Gluttonous to a fault, the 2 ft long dragon spent most days just sleeping and otherwise pestering Ailene. Even now, she'd hop onto the nightstand which resided next to Ailene's bed. As usual, she'd lay her head down and allow her tail to idly hang off the edge. She'd begrudgingly be quiet out of concern for Ailene, soft breathing and little murmurs being the only sounds to arise from her draconian form. After a few moments, both just allowed themselves to drift off in preparation for the next day.

Suddenly a loud and repetitive sound filed the air. Piercing enough to awake her from slumber, Ailene's eyes fluttered open. A blinding white light filled her vision. She was still a little woozy from being woken up. She was far from alert, but she did not recognize her surroundings at all. Bunk beds, metal frames and other containers came to view. The Fullbringer squinted in disbelief, rubbing her eyes. Blinding herself temporarily, Ailene groaned before looking back upon the room. Nothing had changed. Worse yet, that same loud message played again and again. "Actual Casualty. Actual Casualty. Forward, Starboard engine failure-" She shook her head not long into blaring message. In truth, she had no idea what the hell any of it meant. Starboard was perhaps the extent of her knowledge. "A ship? What the hell...?" Ailene's head quickly whipped about as she heard a voice. 

"Easy now," Two women, one clearly younger than the other, had risen. "everything is going to be okay, I promise you." Still getting accustomed to her surroundings, Ailene did not recognize the voice immediately. Ailene's attention turned almost immediately to the pounding and yelling from a nearby drawer. "YOU'LL BE REAL SORRY WH-" Despite being somewhat muffled, there was a ferocity to it and Ailene felt a familiarity to it. She just couldn't put her finger on it. Suddenly, the drawer flew open as the Mod Soul freed herself, flying across the room in a blur. Ailene didn't have a good view of it all quite yet, but at least it seemed that she wouldn't be alone in this endeavor.

Actually... speaking of which. Ailene finally took note of the wiggling under her. The wiggle soon became a struggle and the Fullbringer lifted herself ever so slightly. Mélusine wiggled out from underneath her with a growl. Despite her size, the dragon was deceptively strong and nearly tossed Ailene to the side as she wiggled out. Once freed, the Spirit looked up at Ailene and spoke. She did not know they had company and frankly, even if she did, she did not care one bit. "What the hell is wrong with you, idiot!" There was a primal rage to her voice. "Laying on me? Seriously?!" Ailene huffed back with a pout. "How was I supposed to know you were under me?" 

Mélusine simply turned her head before approaching the side of the bunk bed. Hopping up, unfurling her wings into a small glide, the dragon ended up on the railing of the top bunk. From there, she didn't even pay attention to Ailene, her purple iris focusing on the trio, especially once Serenity addressed Shio. "Heya, I wanted to make sure, are you okay?" She'd be leering at the Espada and Mod Soul, letting out soft growls. Taking this as her cue, Ailene rose from the bunk bed to gaze upon the strange companions she found herself with. As soon as she saw them, the Fullbringer froze. The taller girl... Ailene knew her! They had met only once, but the woman was unmistakable. Her voice filled the room with a mixture of shock and surprise. "Charlotte?!" Comparatively, Ailene looked entirely different. Would the Primera Espada be able to recognize her? That was yet to be seen as she continued standing there in surprise.

The ship seemed to be steady enough for the time being. Allowing the group to get a few minutes to get themselves pulled together. Unfortunately, however, none present could hear the sounds of the engines nor the "flowing" sound. However, that didn't mean that the group was unheard. Whatever was the cause of the "flowing water" sound upon hearing Shio's screech had stopped and begun to quickly make its way towards the group. But it was still a good bit away given the ship was huge after all. Still to remind those present that things were not in good straights the ship "fell" for a few moments. All of those present would feel like they were weightless for a moment before reconnecting to the ground. This wouldn't cause anyone to fall over but it would be a very pointed reminder that something wasn't right.

Specifically for Charlotte and Serenity, having some shipboard knowledge they were immediately realize they were correct in their assumption of being in the sky. While this was a ship, a waterborne ship would rock even just a little bit. But this was smooth as silk when it was steady, and the dip was far more "apparent" than a sea vessel would deal with. But once that dip had come and gone things were the same as before. Emergency lights powering the ballasts (lights) above in the ceiling. The air conditioning surprisingly still on and throwing cold air. But what should be the most concerning for everyone at the moment was how quiet it was. Sure, the alarms and the ship creaking and moaning for the dip was something everyone could hear and be concerned about. But for a ship typically there were others. In fact, a ship like this normally, couldn't even do anything without an entire crew.

And yet there were no footsteps. There were no voices. No sounds of lockers being open and shut. It was silent, barring the soft buzzing from the lights above. If anyone took note of the silence aside from each individual talking, then the question was likely to arise about the remainder of what crew should be present. Skeleton or otherwise. Should anyone decide to leave the room the door would be unlocked and easy to open. However, the hallway they would enter into would be very small. Able to at most, fit two average sized humans' side by side. The door however took up two-thirds of the space. In addition, the hallway had a couple doors leading to other rooms, a scuttle (door on the floor), and a sign directly in front of the room. It would read: 7-205-0-L

To anyone with knowledge of ship's internal frame numbering the sign would accurately tell you where you were specifically. The first number being the level depth into the ship. (a storey). The second being what closest frame you're at within the ship's total number of frames. And the third number determined what side you were on. With 0 being the centermost section of the ship. The letter then determined what type of compartment you were in. L - living space. To anyone without this knowledge however L might be easy to refer to but otherwise the numbers would be just a collection of them with no explanation as to how they worked. The last thing to note about the hallway was that it was bent twice in the center. So, there was a straight line to the center, where the trio is currently at. But there was a connecting hallway between the two lines as they entered at different points on either side. The entrance to the officer berthing was in this central hallway.

After the blaring alarms had sounded, the rest of the chambers remained relatively quiet; aside from the speech of the other people who, of course, Shio had only just gathered were even present within the room with her. Taking a side-glance between each one, as well as taking note of their spiritual presences. Both Charlotte and Serenity felt familiar to her, but as for how so, Shio could not quite yet understand.

It was a kind of 'familiar in passing', little to her knowledge did Shio know that it was because they occupied the same living space; Las Noches. Shio had likely sensed them before, but had no prior knowledge of them being the Primera Espada. Then, there was Ailene and Mélusine. Shio could not recognize Ailene at her glance. Not only did she look completely different than before, but the reiatsu of the previous Septima did not register upon her senses in the same manner.

Mélusine, on the other hand, was a different story. Fullbringer's retain their powers from the essence of a Hollow. Sure, that did not make them the same; however, Mélusine was different to Shio. As someone who had come face-to-face with her under a more dire circumstance, it was ironically the tiny draconian presence in the room that caught the most of the petite doll's attention. However, there was a far more simple reason for that too.

'What the hell is that scaled-chicken gawking at.' - Typical, Mélusine had caught the attention of Shio, but it was moreso out of that disrespectful - almost malicious stare than anything else. In a brief moment of contention between the two, Shio returned the glare from Mélusine with a narrowed gaze of her own. Tiny tension within the room rising between the two as it were, a clash of petite pride, lasting up until Serenity approaches her.

"Heya, I wanted to make sure, are you okay?" Is the choice of words made by the fragmented Primera, it catches Shio awkwardly off-guard. With a stammering tone of voice, she replies; "H-... Hah! As if I wouldn't be." In contrast to Mélusine, the flower-laced resonance of Serenity was too innocent for her to make a quip at. It was very off-character for her sure, if only because of how disorientating this whole scenario was thus far.

With furrowed plushie brows Shio marches toward the door that lead to the hallway; whatever the reason for all of this, there was no hesitation from her whatsoever to get to the bottom of it. In fact, Shio seemed eager, it was apparent by the display of her puffed out chest. If that weren't for her scaled-down plushie form, it would seem arrogant, but the minute size of her only made it look endearing instead. It was a far cry from the leader-type mental image Shio had of herself, what exactly was going through her head?

I'm all too familiar with this scenario, this timid-die-first American type of media-! As if I'm, the SEPTIMA ESPADA, is going to be the one who gets isolated from the group and winds up in some kind of off-screen murder sequence, screw that! I'm going to establish myself as the most important character, the main character, so whatever pedestrian dropped-out-of filmschool director running this thing has no choice but to let me make it to the end. I bet they're even listening to my thoughts right now, well here's my message, BITE ME!

With that misguided confidence Shio utilizes her Kigen ability to create a miniature door for herself, made out of a section of the larger door, then swings it wide open on it's hinges. Taking just a moment to turn back to the group, Shio gives them a curt thumbsup accompanied by a conceited grin, before then striding through the door and out into the hallway passage.

"Charlotte?!"

These words almost immediately prompted a near neck-breaking turn of the girl's head. And, as one might've expected from the crazy bird lady, her eyes were on Ailene like a hawk, almost glaring daggers into her. For someone to call her out like that, as though they'd known her and not be an Arrancar? Already that set rather distinct red flags in the woman's head. Sure, she was the Primera Espada, but to be on a first-name basis with someone else was not something she was having at the moment. No, she was not having that one bit.

Taking a second to size the woman up and down, Charlotte gasped softly. While she didn't recognize the woman's appearance - I mean, how could she? - the one thing she was distinctly familiar with was the way she carried herself. While not exactly the same as before, Charlotte wasn't going to forget the mannerisms of a previous Espada; now a traitor to her own people. "Well, well, well," she spoke, her words sharper than her eyes, "if it isn't miss Ex-Septima."

As she finished speaking, Charlotte took the opportunity to close the distance between herself. Granted, that wasn't all too difficult given the size of the room, but she wasn't going to stop any further away than inches away from Ailene's face. Without blinking, she'd speak once more, though in a hushed tone this time around as to prevent Serenity from listening in. "Give me one good reason as to why I shouldn't stomp your skull into the engine of this ship after what you've done."

Contrary to what one might've thought, Charlotte wasn't about to get violent. She didn't know very much about the situation, and wasn't going to risk making a decision so brash. Though, she was absolutely flexing as much of that 100 Dark Aura as she could possibly manage. Regardless, she was going to await a response from Ailene on the matter - in the girl's face.

Aside from the psychotic bitch that was her older sister, Serenity couldn't help but smile from Shio's words. "H-... Hah! As if I wouldn't be." In truth, she found herself rather enamored by the little moving plushie. She'd never actually seen a Mod Soul in person before! She found herself immediately enamored by the girl. Even as she started to move from her spot, Serenity couldn't help but keep smiling all the while. "If you don't mind my asking," she spoke softly, "could I get your name? I'm Serenity Buckner, pleased to meet you~!" As she spoke, she did a little twirl, allowing her hair to gently bob upward to reveal the numeral tattoo on the back of her neck.

Turning back to Shio as she seemed to trot out, Serenity called out. "H-hey, wait up!" As she finished speaking, she quickly followed in suit, opening the full door behind Shio as she took a few steps outside of the room they were all in. Taking a look around while they were out in the middle of the hall, Serenity crouched down to level herself with the smaller girl. "I wanted to ask'ya real quick; do you remember getting here? I don't really remember getting on this hunk'a junk."

Taking a second to look at the sign right by the door, Serenity placed a finger on her chin as she found herself lost in a semblance of thought. It wasn't a 'I know what this means, why are we here' kind of thought, but rather a 'I can barely read as-is, why are there random letters' kind of thought. "Hmm..." she hummed to herself all the while, she shortly thereafter placed her hands on her hips before speaking again. "Yep, it's official! I've got no idea what this place is."

In truth, she really didn't have any idea. She found herself to be a little frustrated at the fact that she didn't really understand the situation at hand. Crossing her arms, Serenity began to pout. It seemed that even her ability to open up Descorrer proved to not work. She'd need to think of some way in order to leave... She'd left a pot of milk on the stove back home, and was afraid that the lobster was going to eventually end up boiling over. Charlotte was going to kill her if she made a mess again!

Ailene continued to stand there, frozen completely still by the presence of the Primera Espada. In hindsight, blurting out her name may not have been such a good idea. This became crystal clear to her when the Arrancar suddenly turned her head, her eyes focused on Ailene. Everyone else in the room became a mere shadow. Serenity, Shio, even Mélusine were a distant memory compared to Charlotte at the moment. The Arrancars' eyes met her own and Ailene felt nothing but panic. Charlotte was the one Arrancar in which Ailene had confided in. Her opinion on the Espada, her own existential crisis about where she fit in, she had laid herself bare in front of the Primera Espada. Charlotte's reaction was... less than pleasant to say the least.

It was for this reason that a single phrase... nay. A prayer repeated over and over again in her mind. "Please don't recognize me... plese don't recognize me..." It would play over and over again like a broken record. Then finally, a gasp. Of shock? Of surprise? Ailene couldn't tell. She used to have a good grasp on reading people. She could pry so much from merely watching someone's body language. Those days were long since over and now Ailene would likely come to regret her decision. "Well, well, well," There it was. Ailene continued to stand there, unmoving. Not by choice, mind you, she didn't find the strength to move. "if it isn't miss Ex-Septima."

The broken record had finally changed tune. One shrill, heart pounding word that roared within her very soul. "Shit!" Ailene wasn't one to swear, even when she merely articulated her thoughts internally, but she felt that this situation was different. It practically demanded it. Simply based off the woman's voice, Ailene could hear that she wasn't happy. Suddenly, Charlotte began to draw closer. Her steps felt slow and deliberate. Was it the adrenaline? Or was she really just walking that slow? Ailene couldn't tell. Regardless, it wouldn't take that long for the two women to be less than a hair's breadth from one another. Their eyes locked. Charlotte's next words were hushed, but they rang loudly within Ailene. "Give me one good reason as to why I shouldn't stomp your skull into the engine of this ship after what you've done."

Ailene's eyes widened. The air was thick. It almost felt like she had a razor blade pressed against her neck. What was she supposed to do? She couldn't run. She couldn't fight. Even as an Espada, Ailene understood that the Primera Espada held untamed and raw power. The Fullbringers' Hollow reiryoku had fizzled out. She was, at the moment, a shell of her former self. There was no way that she could take on Charlotte! She gulped, trying to clear her thoughts. Her voice would be hushed not unlike Charlottes', "If you're expecting me to grovel, begging for my life, then you've got another thing coming." She decided to bite back a little. Her fight or flight response? Maybe. Regardless, her will burned brightly as she stood against Charlotte, this calamity given flesh. "I don't need to explain myself to you. In fact, I don't owe you a single damn thing. This was my choice and I made it. So who the hell are you to judge me for what I've done?" Backed up against the wall, Ailene lashed out at the Primera Espada. Her presence against that of her peer. Ailene didn't like her own odds, but it was her only remaining option.

In the meantime, Mélusine was having problems of her own. As she remained perched atop the bunkbed, the draconian familiar would continue to stare down at Shio and Serenity. Between the two, it was Shio in particular that caught her interest. As their eyes met, glaring at one another, Mélusine recognized the Mod Soul. Even outside of Ailene's interactions with the Mod Soul, the familiar had met the Mod Soul only one time. It was within Ailene's very soul. Mélusine had found her prey and was ready to pounce on her, but Shio talked her way out of being devoured. Strange for the two to meet again in such a place. Before the tension boiled over, Serenity came to save the day.

Mélusine's attention shifted to the Primera Espada who began being her usual caring self. "Tch. So this is the sister of the fabled Primera Espada? I have to admit... I'm far from impressed." Her expression became one of disappointment. Mélusine felt a strange kinship with Serenity. Was she also a fragment of something greater? Borne form a splintered soul like herself? It was certainly worth exploring. The attention shifted back to Shio once more as the plushie left the room rather stylishly. Peeling part of the door away. It was peculiar. Serenity's voice suddenly filled the room. "H-hey, wait up!" Mélusine briefly growled to accompany the younger girls' voice. 

Spreading her wings, Mélusine took flight. As Serenity opened the door, the draconian familiar would swoop overhead. Gliding into the hallway, Mélusine landed on the floor. Turning her head for a brief moment, she took in her surroundings. "From the looks of it... we're in a... hallway. Ugh..." Mélusine's head hung low for a moment. In truth, she didn't not recognize their prison. Was it even a prison? Mélusine had no clue. Serenity would "contribute" to the conversation again. "Yep, it's official! I've got no idea what this place is." The dragon turned her head for a moment and stared at Serenity. Her purple eye staring at the younger sister. "So, you weren't tipped off by waking up in an unfamiliar space? Quite the Sherlock Holmes, aren't you?" Her voice was absolutely riddled with sarcasm.
 
From that single interaction, Mélusine would show herself to be completely different from Ailene. Disregarding Ailene's little fit with Charlotte, Mélusine was everything that Ailene wasn't. Cruel. Vicious. Vain. Hopelessly arrogant. Speaking of arrogance, Mélusine began to approach Shio. The dark-winged dragon slowly stalked around the Mod Soul in circles. In her current form, Mélusine was only about 2 ft long, but she still retained a height advantage over the Mod Soul. "So, we meet again, Hollow." She clearly emphasized Hollow dismissively. "You and I have a score to settle, little one." She proudly unfurled her wings, casting a small shadow before the Mod Soul. As proud as Mélusine was she was really just posturing, trying to look bigger and badder than she really was.

While the group was splitting and having their interactions, the flowing sound grew stronger for a moment before becoming quiet. It didn't matter however; none present could hear it previously and none would be able to hear it now. However, that didn't mean that they wouldn't begin to find out what exactly was coming to say hello. While the trio was outside attempting to discern what the sign was saying and then "chatting" with one another the ship dipped again. This time however it was in a few intervals. Like walking down, the stairs. Dip. Dip. Dip. Then the ship propelled itself upward again and managed to even out roughly. This caused several square cut outs of the hallway ceiling to fall down. Inside this space between decks was pitch black and it was tiny. Even Melusine would have trouble squeezing inside if she tried.



This was because it wasn't empty space. Pipes, wiring, and other metal structures were hidden away within cramping up much of the possible space within. Yet that didn't mean there wasn't anything else inside. On both a few pieces of the squares that fell down and within the dark space there were small lights. Blue-white that were just hovering in the air and looking around. Melusine and Serenity had no chance of seeing them. The only one who might have, would be Shio. The most notable of the bunch would be the snake on a square directly behind Melusine. From Shio's perspective, if she looked at Melusine, she'd see a snake that was nearing 8in in diameter and was currently bringing its head above Melusine's form. Its eyes were dark blue and were glaring down at Melusine's neck. Forked tongue flicking out quietly.



Unfortunately, this adult snake wasn't the only one coming to play. There was another at the corner of the hallway that had fallen down on its square and was sizing up Serenity. Melusine would have seen it had she the ES to pierce through its camouflaged skin. Yet if she wasn't entirely focused on trying to consume Shio, she might notice the square move some while the ship wasn't swaying. Still even with the square moving, the snake itself was silent. The ball was in Shio's court. With her being the only one capable of seeing the eyes of the snakes in the ceiling and the bodies of the snakes in the hallway, she'd be the only means of informing the others. Problem being that if she took too long (or didn't look behind her) someone was going to get attacked.



Melusine was going to get bitten in the throat by the snake behind her revealing to all present a large, beautiful sapphire colored snake with bright cerulean eyes. Or if that one was stopped Serenity would find her left leg being latched onto and being squeezed, while the head bit into the side of her thigh. An unpleasant choice in any situation. But it wasn't just those in the hallway who had things to deal with. Several squares in the ceiling of the berthing had fallen down as well. One unfortunate such square having fallen upon both Charlotte and Ailene, though given Charlotte was taller, she took the brunt of the flimsy ceiling square which brought more dust than harm to her. The dust was in her hair and on her clothes. Ailene in the meantime managed to only get dust onto the front of her clothes.



Still, that was only the first thing to happen. Moments later something would slither up next to Charlotte. The reason she'd know? It ended up wrapping itself around her leg and though she couldn't see it, she could feel it wasn't really all that big. Turns out the square that had fallen down was actually a baby snake, only a foot and a half long at the most and about 3 inches in diameter. Its hold wasn't even that strong. But what it lacked in strength it made up for in being quick and thus it would immediately go after Charlotte to bite her Achilles tendon. Ailene for the time being wasn't in danger from the snake but if she looked around the room, she like Melusine, would start to see some of the other square sections of the ceiling moving a bit. Despite the ship being relatively still.

Too caught up in herself to truly notice Serenity present her Espada numeral, Shio exited out into the hallway with such gusto and forwardness that the Primera was left twirling as she had done so. Promptly afterward, as Serenity exits into the hallway with her, is Shio examining the long passageway for any sign of where this was; simultaneously, as the fractured Primera knelt down to address her own thoughts on the matter.

"I wanted to ask'ya real quick; do you remember getting here? I don't really remember getting on this hunk'a junk." - Shio tilted her head down somewhat, her brows were creased ever so gently; her face were that of a pensive confusion, and contemplation. It was clear that Serenity would not receive an answer, but the expression of the doll would tell her that Shio too, did not seem to have a full grasp of the situation either. It was bothering her.

It has to be a vessel of some sort, the Septima thought to herself. Whilst Shio was not at all familiar with them, her knowledge in crafting structures granted her at least that much knowledge; although, she would be the last of the group to even catch on to that simple fact. It should have been obvious by what felt like the listing that had woken her earlier, but truth be told, it was the last thing on Shio's mind at the time. There was something else pervading her thoughts.

Thus the devil spoke, "So, you weren't tipped off by waking up in an unfamiliar space? Quite the Sherlock Holmes, aren't you?" - and hearing the voice of Mélusine confirmed it. Different, though its inclination was easily recognizable to Shio. That same condescending tone, and even her presence, although much lesser than it was when they had first met. Not at all wishing to address Mélusine for the time being, Shio had kept to herself.

Even as the draconian presence began to circle her, Shio almost appeared to disregard her; not even sparing a glance at her direction, focused entirely on the various instruments on the walls of the hallway. However, it was clear that whilst Shio was pretending to ignore Mélusine - this much was obvious, as the creasing on her brows had not left her expression. "So, we meet again, Hollow."; the very last word almost spat out, Shio's eyebrow twinged.

"You and I have a score to settle, little one." - Shio's lower lip pulled upward, like a very stern pout of defiance. Mélusine unfurled her wings and postured to look larger than the doll, but Shio folded both of her arms in response; "Listen here, you're so weak now that-" BAM.

Instantaneously, Shio's gaze widened to the abrupt sensation of being lifted from her feet; raised, and then landing back on her feet again after. Only, it happened in succession of three times total. Once, she had managed to maintain her posture. The next, the unfortunate Mod Soul had to unfold her arms to try and regain her balance. At the very last, Shio was lifted from her stance entirely and fell face-first onto the ground. Immediately she raised her head again, yapping in comedic frustration.

"WHAT IS IT NOW, HAAH-" With a curt rolling of her prounciation of 'A', like that of a thug. Shio clamored back onto her feet, though staggered, and began dusting herself off. "Jeez-", did the Mod Soul mumble under her breath, before catching note of how the room had changed. Several panel's of the ceiling had been dislodged, some of them had even fell into the hallway proper. However, Shio stopped in her tracks upon noticing something behind Mélusine.

Time felt like it slowed down for Shio in that moment; her mental acuity raised to its maximum uppermost limit. Something was not right. In the animal kingdom, there is oft' a standstill before a predator lunges its prey. Within these moments proceeding, the victim is able to understand on an instinctual level that danger is afoot. It was similar to that, Shio had recognized the movements of the slithering assailant before it had even registered to react with her physical body.

At the edge of her peripheral, and given the angle that her gaze fell upon the room; Shio alone could see the faint tells of other similar creatures that had entered the hallway. It wasn't just the one behind Mélusine, there were others. It was only a fraction of a split second though, but that key bit of information was all that could possibly register upon Shio before the Septima knew that she needed to make a response, and fast.

However, Shio was just so incredibly slow in a physical sense. Her doll form would not be able to eliminate every threat - even if she moved immediately, perhaps not even the one presenting behind Mélusine. Forget being able to warn anyone, not that Shio had the mind to bother for Mélusine. If it weren't for the fact that her presence meant Ailene was alive and well; and that was out of her mind for the time being. Personal feeling was out of the question, Shio simply did what was her very first instinct to respond to the situation.

In the moments prior to those slithering threats preparing to pounce, Shio spread her spiritual roots out from her body; they invaded every asset of the hallway. Each ambient material became one with her person at a frightening speed, given it only required her mental awareness to do so. Despite that her physical doll form was practically suspended in time within this fraction of a second, Shio became mentally aware of everything within five meters of her person.

Every aspect of the environment in that area had became a part of her, thus could she feel them; those entities that felt like flowing water running along the surface of ones skin. It allowed her to feel the presence of both Mélusine and Serenity within the room, and even the electricity running through key wires in the infrastructure of this vessel, as well as any ventilation through pipes. Her vision was as good as her sensation of touch at that moment.

If it weren't for her keen instinct, Shio would not have been able to accomplish such a dissemination of information at once. To do so, she had narrowed her thoughts down to only the most essential of what needed to be known; and her response.

Abruptly, the walls and ceiling of the hallway began to creak like metal. As without pause the entire hallway ballooned up into a den of needles. Utilizing her Kigen ability, the very walls of the passageway had formed into skewering spikes. Shot inward invading what little space the three had to maneuver. Within moments, both Serenity and Mélusine would find themselves become uncomfortably unable to move, if only owing to that fact that every facet of space surrounding them was now bedded with razor sharp protrusions.

All of this happened just as the enemy was about to lunge Mélusine, not a fraction of a second remained as the snake had gone to do so; in fact, as it lunged, it would likely have its serpentine head impaled upon one such pike that protruded from the ground. Of course, if Serenity had not the awareness to deal with the one targeting her either, then both of these assailants would have their entire bodies punctured in multiple locations like a snake kebab.

It also was true for any that might be lingering above them as well, all of the spikes had protuded from the surface of the walls simultaneously. In just one instant. Of course, Shio had tried her best to avoid any key infrastructure like pipes and electrical wires; but suffice to say she was not perfect. That being said, it did not matter. Shio also had the ability to mend whatever it was that she had damaged, back into the state it was beforehand.

Mélusine would find one such spike suspiciously pointed at her throat, how strange.

In all of that, and whilst the death throws of hissing may begin to die down; Shio began to ease up from the tension. Likewise, aside from how Serenity and Mélusine reacted, the entire room would be still. In a much slower fashion, and without moving her physical body, all of the spikes would begin to retract themselves back into the walls; only, much more gradual than the sudden way they had before. Shio had poised her shoulders in the tension from performing such a sudden act, assuming it was successful, she would allow them to slump forward, and relax.

It appeared to have mentally taxed her in order to perform such a feat so outside of being prepared for it, however - the fact of the matter was that Shio felt a little more able to relax, now that she had that constant monitoring of the hallway around her by touch, as well as what else might slither into its radius. Ailene, and Charlotte on the other hand; they would have to make do somehow on their own. Shio did not have the ability to cover for them in this instance.

Taking this moment, Shio's furrowed azure gaze fell upon the form of the serpent that quite possibly had been skewered an inch before Mélusine's body. It would have now slumped to the ground in absence of the pikes that had pierced it. How troublesome - she thought.

"If you're expecting me to grovel, begging for my life, then you've got another thing coming. I don't need to explain myself to you. In fact, I don't owe you a single damn thing. This was my choice and I made it. So who the hell are you to judge me for what I've done?" Oh, Charlotte was livid. Metaphorical smoke began to pour from the girl's ears as Ailene seemed to make a stand against her. And, given the situation, she didn't have much of a choice but to simply stand there and take it.

Though, that didn't mean she wasn't going to dish it right back. "Ooh," she started, her arms crossed, "seems as though someone grew a bit of a spine since she left; tell me, what provoked that little change? And toward me no less. If it's a fight you're looking for, girl, then I am MORE than glad to deliver!" Practically shouting her words at this point, Charlotte almost let loose entirely, allowing her own spiritual prowess flare around her. Though, she was met rather quickly with a bit of an unexpected comment from across the hall.

"Charlotte! Please, for both our sakes; calm the heck down! You don't need to be fighting right now!" Flushing deep red, Charlotte opened her mouth as to say something, before shutting right up. The last thing she was going to do was get into an argument with her little sister. Ailene won this battle, but Charlotte was going to eventually win the war if she could help it. "Lucky timing," she muttered under her breath, before letting out a deep sigh.

"We'll continue this talk later," she started once more, her demeanor quickly taking a much more passive approach, "First I'd like to-" her words were cut short by the falling ceiling panel, hitting her smack dab on the top of her head. While it wasn't nearly enough to do some actual damage to the woman, she very quickly found herself covered in a rather annoying amount of dust. "Good gods," she complained aloud, "where the hell did that come from?!"

First and foremost, she began to pat herself down. Vigorously. She absolutely detested dust, and was going to do what she could to completely rid herself of it if she could help it. Though, while she was patting herself down, a shiver went down her spine. She felt something on her leg. She felt something on her leg. In an instant, the girl's eyes went a combination of black and red, filling out similarly to her sister's, before a thick, sharpened tendril shot from her upper back and straight down toward her leg.

Within the blink of an eye, the tendril not only shot through the slithering reptile's skull, but straight through the floor as well, resting about an inch into the ground beneath her. Talk about overkill. Following there quickly was another full-body shiver in disgust, as she withdrew the tendril from the ground before flicking the body of the beast across the room, not to actually hit anyone. Squinting her eyes for a moment, before looking back to the best, Charlotte stood confused. "What... the hell?"

"So, you weren't tipped off by waking up in an unfamiliar space? Quite the Sherlock Holmes, aren't you?" Almost immediately, Serenity felt hurt. Like her heart had been broken. Like she was almost about to cry. Not quite there yet, but dreadfully close all thing considered. "H-hey," she spoke somewhat softly, "you don't have to be mean about it..." Like a lost puppy, Serenity stood with her metaphorical tail between her legs, her eyes quickly changing to match that of her sister's own without even knowing it; almost as though she'd been put into a fight-or-flight response, and was seconds away from choosing 'flight'.

Seeing as Melusine moved on from her, and turned toward Shio, the two took a moment to interact. While they did, Serenity simply took a moment to try to study their surroundings a bit. If for no other reason but simply out of childish spite toward Melusine's own previous interactions with her. She wasn't gonna sit by n' get called out like that for doing nothing wrong! Huffing and pouting to herself, Serenity did what she could with her newly-augmented vision in order to try to pick out some key details from her surroundings while she had the opportunity.

Though, while she was doing that, she found herself very quickly distracted from her older sister's own shouting. In turn, without knowing what was going on, she decided to shout back in response. "Charlotte!" She exclaimed, stomping her foot to the ground, "please, for both our sakes; calm the heck down! You don't need to be fighting right now!" She felt very adamant toward her older sister's outbursts, especially when they weren't warranted. Given the fact that nobody really knew what was going on, she wanted to keep those down.

Everybody was in a rather stressful situation, after all. Nobody really knew just what was going on, and that seemed to be taking its toll on a number of folks rather quickly. She'd have to forgive Melusine for her rude comments earlier; after all, it was probably just the stress! There's no way she was that mean normally, she probably just wanted to get home n' back to her normal life! Lord only knew that Serenity felt the same way, given that being stranded on a plane like this felt absolutely-

And Shio said, let there be spikes. With a resounding shriek from the hollow girl, Serenity found herself in an immediate state of hyperventilation as soon as the area around her began to restrict with the walls of the ship protruding like razor-sharp spikes; she'd been blissfully unaware of the poor, poor animal that had been killed right beside her, though in truth it was likely much better off that way. If she knew just what had happened there, she would've likely burst out into tears right then and there. After all, the stress of the situation was getting to her too.

Technique Description and Effects: By focusing on the eyes, users of Aka no Kōkei are able to enhance their sensory capabilities by a small margin. Both function identically to one another, but come with different costs and drawbacks. When mastered, both variants of Aka no Kōkei are available for use interchangeably with one another as the user sees fit.

What Aka no Kōkei does is rather simple; it allows the user the ability to perceive the world around them in a different light; both literally and figuratively. While active, Aka no Kōkei tints the user's vision red as their eyes visibly change; the user's irises will turn a bright red, and sclera jet black. This change lasts for the full duration of this technique. During this technique's duration, provided the user has Skill Points currently unspent, they will be able to redeem a number of those points for temporary points in Battle Focus; up to one Rank for Classes 8-6, two Ranks for Classes 5-2, and three Ranks for Class 1. At any point, users of Aka no Kōkei can choose to activate in one or both eyes, and/or use this technique cinematically. With Mastery of this technique, users can opt into keeping their sclera white.

How to use technique: Either channel Reiatsu into the eyes for the Spiritual variant, or tense the muscles around the eyes for the Physical variant.

Technique Drawbacks: Given this technique puts such a strain on the user's vision, their Senses are treated as 10% lower than they normally are for the duration of this technique, when relying on sight. Attacks made against the eyes with this technique active are doubly as effective. The Spiritual variant of this technique costs 75 reiatsu per post to maintain, whereas the Physical variant will slowly eat away at the user's physical stamina, and requires 1 Rank in Bleeding Tolerance. When used cinematically, this technique has no cost nor drawbacks, but does not gain any of the benefits listed above and instead only changes the appearance of the user's eyes. Costs 75 TTP per stage to learn, and learning this technique teaches every Class.

Technique Description and Effects: Aka no Buki acts as an extension of Aka no Kōkei, allowing a user to take greater control over their own body in order to create some form of natural weapon from their own blood. This can range from a set of pseudo-liquid wings, a set of bloodied tendrils, or really anything in between. Up to four of these weapons can be manifested at once, and cannot extend more than triple the user’s base arm-length. These weapons created have a durability and cutting ability equal to the user’s Strength or Reiatsu Strength (or Spiritual Pressure, when released).

When damaged, these weapons will take half the OS of the attack used against them toward their durability damage. For every point in Bleeding Tolerance that the user has, these weapons will restore 10%/20%/30%/50% of their maximum durability every post, as the user’s blood continues to spread throughout these weapons.

How to use technique: Either channel Reiatsu into the user’s back or shoulders for the Spiritual variant, or flex enough to pop blood vessels for the Physical variant.

Technique Drawbacks: Like Aka no Kōkei, this technique has both a Physical and Spiritual variant, with one chosen on Learned and both gained on Mastered. The Spiritual variant costs 100 reiatsu every post to maintain said weapon, whereas the Physical variant costs stamina and requires 2 Ranks in Bleeding Tolerance. This weapon’s form is chosen on taking the tech, to be described in the user’s point bank, and cannot be changed. This weapon still has nerves from the user, so users will experience pain coming from the damage to said weapon; having an Aka no Buki weapon cut in half is akin to losing a limb, and will require pain-mitigatory skills appropriate to resisting that. Requires Aka no Kōkei at Learned at the minimum.
