-Appearance-

Physical Description
Zauberin's physical appearance heavily alludes to her overall abilities as a Hollow. In all four of her forms, her body is noticeably attuned to be more lithe and lean in nature rather than stocky and durable, even given her size in her earlier evolutions.

From the top, the general shape of her mask is reminiscent of a monarchy crown, with several pieces branching in various directions without rhyme or reason. There are two deeply ingrained lines on either side of her mask, not unlike etchings into a pillar. On the bottom of her mask, the corners drop down past the base of her chin and over her neck. The sockets for her eyes are octogram starburst shapes and her eyes themselves are a combination of silver and violet, without distinctions between her sclera and her iris. Her mouth is normal, sporting two rows of sharpened teeth which fit in a balanced fashion on her face.

At every stage of her evolution, her body is adorned in a variety of symbols, interconnected with black and violet lines. These symbols are reminiscent of Teutonic and Germanic glyphs although they aren't specifically attuned to any human language. When utilizing certain techniques, these glyphs glow brightly with her reiatsu and may be used by a particularly keen combatant to try and estimate what techniques she might be using.

{Hollow}In her standard hollow form, Zauberin stands as a quadruped whose upper limbs can be used effectively for climbing and grasping. While her lower limbs are not effective at being used for walking, she can easily balance on them in order to increase her height, her presence, and to help her get a better view of her surroundings. At her tallest, Zauberin stands about six or seven feet. On the ends of each of her limbs are clawed appendages with four digits. Her skin holds a dull purple and blue hue.

Her voice in her base form is noticeably distorted from behind her mask and characteristically monstrous.

{Gillian}As a Gillian class hollow the two most notable differences in her appearance are her size and how she ambulates. With this evolution, her overall frame grows to approximately fourteen or fifteen feet tall and she is primarily bipedal. Her overall figure is wrapped in the long black cloak that is typical of Gillian, though her limbs are prominently the same color as they were in her basic form, as opposed to the skeletal white of her peers.

The cloak itself is plain and unassuming, though there are interconnecting lines of dull blues and violets that form vague shapes. Unlike the shapes on her body, these shapes do not glow more or less prominently based on what techniques she uses, effectively giving her a short lived benefit of hiding her techniques visually from others in the evolution. The rest of her body is relatively unchanged, save for a slight change in the transparency of her skin - underneath her cloak, bare visages of the musculature in her extremities can be seen, though any skeletal structure or organs are still hidden from view.

{Adjuchas}As an Adjuchas, Zauberin begins to take on her own unique characteristics. Compared to her Gillian form she is much shorter in size, standing at roughly seven feet tall. The cloak that once hid her body as a Gillian is partially consumed, revealing her arms in their entirety, the lower half of her lower extremities, her shoulders, and her neck. The rest of her torso and the upper half of her lower extremities remain concealed.

Some of her runes, namely the more powerful ones (Class 4-3) are visible on her peripheral extremities; they resemble dark violet tattoos with a very slight shimmer in direct light and glow when she utilizes her techniques. Additionally, the interconnecting lines on the remainder of her Gillian cloak are more filled in and prominent, but still grow in a deliberately static fashion. Other new adornments can be found on her hollow mask and around her neck. Across the top of her hollow mask, just before the mask begins to fracture at the top, a series of small lines sits layered on top of each other with the deepest line on the bottom. In the center, where they meet, a series of her strongest runes can be seen (Class 2+) engraved in a circle pattern. Along her neck, a series of runic embroidery wraps around from the front to the back where they cross and then terminate slightly past halfway on the back of her neck.

Where her limbs are exposed, her skin has a decidedly purple hue and they are back to being opaque now that they're consistently exposed to the outside. Her limbs have a somewhat bulky and muscular appearance, though her actual strength is significantly limited. Underneath the remainder of her cloak, her skin takes on an icy, translucent hue similar to her Gillian form. At the end of her limbs are appendages that could arguably be considered hands and feet, but are still very much clawed and noticeably useful for climbing and grasping.

In her Adjuchas form, her voice is decidedly feminine, but still heavily altered by her hollow origin.

{Vasto Lorde}At the peak of her evolution, Zauberin undergoes a few subtle, but important changes. Her height continues to decrease until she's between 5'7" and 5'9" tall, and her overall frame diminishes as well, with her previously muscly limbs resting unimpressive on a very lithe frame. At the ends of limbs are a pair of obvious hands and feet. The Gillian cloak she previously wore the remains of becomes a twisted and altered form of attire, circling around her peripheral extremities and forming the equivalent of gloves and shoes. On her hands, these gloves cover her thumb, middle and pinkie fingers, and on her feet they cover every time except for the second toe on both feet. The cloak gives the illusion of covering and protection, but in actuality are just extensions of her skin.

In addition, the rest of the torso portion of her cloak forms an elaborate design on her arms and legs and covers much of her torso, conforming to her skin and giving her the perpetual appearance of wearing a black dress or gown. Unlike in her previous forms, however, these are direct extensions of her skin.

As an extension of her body, the robes that cover her are now visibly adorned in the remainder of her runes (Class 8-5), which light up when activated. The remainder of her skin that is 'uncovered' has a significantly more nude appearance than in previous evolutions, but maintains a very light hue of blue and purple.

In this evolution, some small changes occur that are more nuanced as well. Her eyes gain silvery-white sclera, with a shimmering violet iris-like structure and black pupil-like structures, which do not constrict in accordance to light changes. Her mask becomes significantly more contoured to her face, losing the blocky shape on the sides and curving along the curvature of her cheeks and her jawline. The top of the mask is significantly more splintered, as though attempting to break into a separate part, and the previously dangling edges are only loosely connected to the rest of the mask. Despite their poor adherence, they maintain their density and structure.

Black hair sprouts from the sides of her mask and down the back of her neck, spilling out over her shoulders and stopping unevenly along her shoulder-blades. Her teeth are more human-like in appearance, although the outer thirds are still spiked, alluding to some deeper bestial nature.

As a Vasto Lorde, the distortion in her voice is heavily tempered, only mildly twisted from its natural inflection and tone. It is unmistakably the voice of a woman and has the slightest hint of a central European inflection.

-Personality-

Dislikes:
Righteousness - Zauberin despises those who parade around with a sense of righteousness. She believes that the spiritual races of the world especially should embrace their position and their power and use it to their advantage. The wealth of the world belongs to those bold enough to take it for themselves. She believes that all individuals, save for a rare and almost impossible few, conduct themselves in accordance to what they want for themselves and should just embrace their desire to get what they want.

Equity - Equity is a fallacy in Zauberin's eyes. If all beings deserved the same opportunities and the same chances, then they would have been gifted with those chances. Those who survive do so out of sheer willpower and determination against adversity. Those who thrive often have an edge that others simply do not have. Not everyone deserves to thrive - some must suffer so others may prosper.

Equality - Equality is a poor, haphazard attempt used by those in power to pretend like they're trying to make the world a better place. Providing everyone equal opportunities without taking their unique positions into consideration is merely an offensive slap in the face to those who are simply doomed to be lesser. Likewise, those who are doomed to be lesser should simply be treated as such. Not everyone deserves a throne of their own.

Isolationists - Zauberin has a dislike for those that prefer to isolate themselves completely from other beings, believing that those who cannot find a place in society hardly deserve to be under its protection or structure, and thus should be removed.

Authority By Position - People who enforce authority through management of expectations, using things like tradition and respect as excuses for why others should follow them are simply weak at their core. Authority is something that is demanded in one hand and commanded in the other. Authority is something that others fall in line for because the only other option is to be erased from existence to make room for those who will serve and accept what they are given gladly.

Disrespect - Whether direct, such as in the case of exaggerated insults and making subjective observations about the qualities of others, or indirect, such as playing with your food and not using everything at your disposal to absolutely oppress and decimate your prey, disrespect is unforgivable. To subvert the natural order of one's role and place in existence by elevating them to a level of authority they cannot hope to hold, or to purposefully goad others and belittle them in ways that aren't fitting their natural place is unnecessary. It is a waste of energy. To state that someone is weak and meant for servitude is one thing. To belittle them for their unfortunate destiny is another.

Monologuing - Zauberin hates people who speak just to listen to the sound of their own voice. No, she does not care about your super impressive plan. Yes, she's sure she doesn't want to hear it. If you're in a position to kill her, it's expected you do it rather than waste precious seconds of her existence only to make them more miserable. Otherwise? She will cause you an equal amount of time in agony if given the chance.

Boredom - Zauberin is a very fickle being who hates routine and predictability. Beings must bring something new or exciting to the table or she simply has no interest in their existence. Small talk is one thing, provided it leads to much more exciting conversation. Seeing a trick for the first time is mesmerizing and invigorating, while seeing it for the fifth is mind numbing.

Routine - Zauberin is a very fickle being who hates routine and predictability. This is directly related to her disposition against boredom and the speed at which things bore her.

Being Denied What She Wants - Zauberin is a creature of desire and gratification. She lives exclusively according to her own wishes unless others wishes are placed upon her with force. As a result, she has a disproportionate anger towards those who do not give her what she wants, when she wants it.

Being In Pain - Zauberin is a selfish creature with a very low threshold for pain. She despises the negative sensation of pain and is easily prone to distraction and being deterred from her previous goals in order to remove the source of any physical anguish she’s currently undergoing.

Science and Technology - Zauberin has a specific lack of interest in most scientific ventures. While she isn’t above utilizing basic combat equipment, she abhors and tends away from advanced technology, believing that the manufactured creations of even spiritual beings are simply inferior to the ways of magic.

Likes:
Dominance - Zauberin is a creature that believes that she, and some select others, are simply born to rule over the majority that remains. She has no problem asserting that she is meant for positions of status and believes that asserting that dominance over others is simply the natural order of things. She has no problem commanding and bossing around others for her own personal gain and ambition and will do so readily when given the opportunity.

Authority by Force - Zauberin strongly believes in the use of force and fear when demanding respect and obedience from others. Authority comes from those strong enough to demand subservience from others and courageous and brave enough to wield it liberally.

Socialites - Zauberin embraces any creature that can either be find or forcibly placed into a social structure and believes that creatures that naturally form packs, whether through leadership or subservience, with other creatures are simply better suited for survival and growth than creatures who are unable to form any type of relationship with others. Creatures that are so averse to the social structure so as to be detrimental and isolationist are to be destroyed, while creatures that can properly be slot into a social structure should be coveted.

Willing Servants - While Zauberin does not necessarily respect those who fold into the role of subservience, she can accept that it is only natural for those who were born to serve to do so willingly, and to cave to the desires and demands of those above them. Prey and Predator are decided at birth and it is important for beings to understand that some are simply more inclined to rule than others. Willing servants are often given leniency and understanding appropriate for their lack of general competency, in Zauberin’s eyes.

Unwilling Servants - You might think that Zauberin holds disdain and hatred for those who try to buck the trend, but it’s quite the opposite. She absolutely adores prey that have the backbone and spine to try and stand among predators and tout themselves as being ‘equals’ and deserving of ‘freedoms’ and ‘rights’. It is uniquely satisfying to take a strong-willed individual and break them into the subservient creature that they were always born to be.

Trophies - Zauberin absolutely loves to take trophies as clear, material examples of her dominance and success over others. While being able to capture and parade an entire being around is the pinnacle of taking a trophy, artifacts and other parts and pieces of creatures and their treasures are also considered valuable. She particularly has an infatuation with human artifacts that are used to defend themselves against spiritual threats.

Suffering of Others - Zauberin finds unique pleasure in causing misfortune and misery in others. Knowing that she has such power, influence, and control over another being so as to enforce her own twisted amusement upon them gives her a type of joy that is hard for her to explain. She is the perfect example of ‘playing with your food’.

Magic - Zauberin has an innate affinity for magic and enjoys the utilization of spiritual energy to create fantastical things, both permanent and impermanent. She believes that tapping into the raw energy available to others and, to a greater extent, the magical energy of the three worlds themselves, brings greater power and glory than technology could ever possibly provide.

Flaws:
Pride - Zauberin is a very prideful Hollow. She believes that her very existence is an exception to the rule and that she is born into a position of superiority above her peers. She very rarely backs down from a direct challenge, and will often underestimate and undervalue her opponents’ abilities both in and out of combat. She thinks very little of those who have not ‘proven’ themselves to her, and she is very resistant to advice, guidance, or suggestion from others.

Quick to Anger - Zauberin is exceptionally quick to anger. She is incredibly short-tempered and is prone to fits of violent anger when she does not get her way or is not given what she wants. She is fairly difficult to redirect or de-escalate when she gets upset and usually needs to complete the equivalent of a temper tantrum in order to let out her excess energy. While she’s not exhausted after said tantrum, she will often lose interest in whatever it was that upset her in the first place and find something else to do afterwards.

Trophy Taker - Zauberin does not like to utterly destroy opponents if she can help it. She will go out of her way to try and separate or preserve something important to stronger opponents in order to take them as Trophies. Due to this, she can find herself overwhelmed by an opponent who is willing to go all out. While she will not purposefully put herself in danger and will engage fully if her life is threatened, she has to be pushed to that point in order to fight for the end goal of defeating her opponent instead of humiliating them.

Accepts Subservience - Zauberin is quick to accept those who are willing to bend the knee to her unless they have previously betrayed her or give her a reason to be particularly skeptical of their actions. In this way, it can be easier to gain her trust and find openings by falsely professing a desire to be her servant, or someone can quickly find themselves out of harm’s way by simply acknowledging that she is superior to them.

Stubborn - Zauberin is exceptionally stubborn, and in many cases needs to see for herself that her idea is impossible to achieve before she accepts that she has to change modalities. Additionally, she will often refuse others' ideas even if they are the correct course of action, unless she can be convinced or is allowed to convince herself that it was her idea to begin with.

Easily Bored - Zauberin is very easily bored and is prone to causing chaos, destruction, and general suffering if she is not actively entertained in some way. In some cases, this can be as simple as providing her a new toy or phenomenon to ponder on, and in others this may take a concerted effort from several individuals in order to keep her occupied.

Arbitrary - Zauberin has no real sense of ‘justice’ or ‘fairness’ and will pass judgment on her servants and others according to her immediate whims at the time. This often results in either over-punishing, over-rewarding, under-punishing, or under-rewarding those in her presence at the time of a decision. Attempting to play to her sense of ‘what is right or wrong’ is a fool’s goal and will often anger her more than it will be successful.

Mysticism over Science - Zauberin steadfastly believes that technology is inferior to magic in all shapes and forms to the point that she will often forego complex technological mechanisms and marvels in the pursuit of magical or mystical solutions to her problems. She is extremely skeptical of rational and reasoning and prefers to go on feeling and her instinct above proper analysis. When utilized in many situations, this can often lead her to the correct end result, but for the wrong reasoning or mechanics.

Habits:
Speaks In The Third Person - Zauberin speaks almost exclusively in the third person. It is unclear why she does so, or when her consciousness began to take hold in this way, but it is how she addresses herself. She also uses they/them pronouns, but is not particularly distressed by others using the wrong pronouns.

Pulls At Her Mask - Zauberin has a habit, when she is stressed or frustrated, of tugging at her mask as part of her behavior when faced with stressful situations.

Chews With Her Mouth Open - Zauberin does not pay strict attention to niceties, pleasantries, or ‘manners’. She often acts as she pleases, when she pleases, and is prone to chew with her mouth open when eating.

Dry Humor - Zauberin is not an inherently social creature, and as such, jokes and sarcasm will occasionally fall completely flat to her. This is a result of her being a Hollow.

Temper Tantrum - Zauberin is prone to violent outbursts and fits of destruction when she doesn’t get what she wants and will go out of her way to create havoc, destruction, misery, and suffering to those around her in order to let off steam.

Fears:
Servility - Zauberin fears and outright rejects the possibility that she was meant to serve other creatures. She believes that she is the master of her own destiny and will fight tooth and nail to prove that it is her right to lead and command, and not to follow.

Regression - Zauberin fears the concept of regression to the point that, up until she properly breaks her mask, she will continue to eat and consume to ensure that she does not regress past her current evolution, even after the danger has passed. Zauberin will refuse utilizing any outward mechanisms if she considers breaking her hollow mask for fear that others could take her newfound power away from her if she does not gain it on her own.

Death - Zauberin fears death. She blatantly fears the possibility of no longer existing and will do anything from turning allegiance, to murder loved ones, to destroying that which she holds closest to her for the chance to survive another day. All things can be remade or recollected, but she cannot do that if she’s dead.

Goals:
Evolve - Zauberin's primary goal throughout all but her final stage of evolution is to continue to feed the unending hunger within her and to evolve to the furthest stages of Hollow existence.

Ascend - Zauberin's primary goal as a Vasto Lorde is to ascend her hollow form and become an Arrancar, preferably through her own strength.

Subjugate - Zauberin has ambitions of subjugating the hollows she comes across and using them to create her personal kingdom.

Dominion - Zauberin believes that all have a place under the sun and stars. She also simply believes that nearly everyone else is responsible for serving her, as their rightful place.

Overall Personality
At her core, Zauberin can be described as a creature with a heavily inflated sense of self, a heavily deflated sense of others, and a megalomaniac who is concerned only with her own desires and distastes that will go out of her way to cause destruction, suffering, and general misery for no other reason than because she can and it amuses her. She is excruciatingly difficult to wrangle underneath a single authority and to many it would simply be easier to kill her or let her cause whatever rampant destruction she pleases than to try and keep her controlled. Her true loyalty lies only to herself and even her preferred favorites should be made well aware that their relative safety and good grace only goes as far as she cares to bear it, and that she can decide, nearly on a whim, that someone or something has outlived its usefulness.

In her base state as a Hollow, Zauberin’s primal desires come through more prominently than her others. Hunger takes center stage in both her base and Gillian forms and drives much of her decision making process. She is completely indifferent as to what she feeds on provided that it gives her some semblance of strength and spiritual growth and will often target masses over individuals, leaving ample amounts of devastation in her wake as she feeds. Rarely, will Zauberin consider herself sated and her feedings tend to come in binges as she alternates between biding her time and consolidating her mental and spiritual fortitude, and consuming large amounts of souls brought about by rampant, unbridled devastation. In her base and Gillian forms, she is extremely difficult to control by means other than force, and while this improves somewhat as she establishes dominance over the other souls that makeup her being as a Gillian, she is still more trouble than she’s worth and must be forcefully subdued.

As a Gillian, some more aspects of her personality begin to crack through her animalistic demeanor, but she is still far from civilized or easily negotiated with. Her sense of pride and her utter distaste for other creatures, including other Hollow, begins here, as she begins to regard the things in front of her as more than simply ‘food’. After establishing spiritual dominance over the other souls that make up her being, she begins to view other creatures as either ‘beneath her’ or ‘destined to be beneath her’. At this stage, it is common for her to seek out and forcefully subjugate other base Hollow on occasion should they prove to be more than simply food, though the vast majority of creatures still fall comfortably in the ‘food’ category. While she is capable of complex thought, her self-awareness is heavily muted by the constant rabble of other spirits vying for dominance inside of her body.

Her Adjuchas evolution brings with it a multitude of changes to her personality and, arguably, some of the most important foundations of her future personality. This evolution is marked by the beginning of better reflection of both self and others. As an Adjuchas, she begins to realize that some creatures other than her are destined for rulership and some are destined for service. At this stage of evolution, she begins to grow a healthy respect for the strength of others and is more willing to reason with creatures that she can sense are more powerful than she is. Notably, her curiosity for the potential of a human form and her ability to reminisce over a human form also begin to shine, laying the groundwork for her general tolerance and her understanding that Hollow are merely human souls that have been left to their own negative emotions for too long.

Negotiation with her at this stage is largely determined by power - against weaker creatures she is more likely simply to squash and consume them in order to feed her still-nagging hunger. Against creatures of arguably contentious strength, or creatures who are notably or perceptibly stronger than she is, however, she recognizes that such strength has been earned. While this doesn’t always lead to the desire to respect those in front of her, it offers another angle and perspective that she regards others, allowing for basic diplomacy and negotiation.

Additionally, as an Adjuchas, she begins to develop a deeper understanding of her unique Hollow ability and her ability to commune and interact with Leylines and utilize the Runes that are part of her body. Her mysticism throughout her Adjuchas evolution steadily increases as she grows in power and aptitude and eventually leads to a healthy obsession regarding the extent of her magic and a relative distaste for the advancement and utilization of certain types of technology.

As a Vasto Lorde, the most human-like characteristics of her form begin to shine through, including the concepts of greed and boredom. While her previous motives are inherently pressed from her constant hunger, her hunger as a Vasto Lorde quickly takes a backseat to her other, more human emotions. This evolution affords both the most likely form for agreeable diplomacy, while also proving to be the most fickle and hardest to please of her hollow stages. Her perceptions of others expand as she takes a more philosophical approach and a more ‘whole’ understanding of the purpose of other creatures. With her hunger now muted, creatures can be better evaluated for their level and degree of usefulness. While almost all creatures underneath her served only to be suitable as either prey or bait for prey, as a Vasto Lorde she can recognize more abstract uses for creatures that are beneath her now that her hunger is not at the forefront of her mind.

At her pinnacle, Zauberin is a creature that cannot be left to exclusively her own devices for too long before she begins to experience boredom. Her attention span for the mundane and routine steadily decreases shortly after her Vasto Lorde transformation and continues to decline as she ages over time. As a creature with an affinity for destruction and entropy, this boredom results primarily in two things - the first, an abrupt desire and pursuit for destruction and the general cause of suffering, or a hyper-fixation on the attainment of someone or something. With hunger pushed to the background of her mind, Zauberin’s natural greed for both material and personal grows substantially and her pursuit to exert her own brand of dominance over her chosen domain grows, as does her entitlement and her expectations.

Fighting Style
Zauberin’s fighting style is characterized, at all stages, as brutal, indiscriminate, and devastatingly explosive to the point of absurdity. There are generally four purposes to combat in her mind - the debilitation and consumption of an opponent, the obliteration and complete destruction of her opponent, the assertion of dominance and subjugation, or the abject humiliation of someone or something that opposes her. Each purpose comes with a different type of approach, and different purposes are approached slightly differently based on her current evolutionary state.

In her basic form and Gillian form, hunger drives the majority of her conflict. Her unending hunger manifests as explosive violence and a desire to mutilate and consume with reckless abandon. The exorbitant amount of energy utilized when she hunts or fights is enough to send her into a significant resting period in between bouts of destruction. Zauberin’s preferred form of fighting or hunting at these stages involves a disproportionate and overwhelming abuse of her spiritual energy in order to cause as much calamity and destruction as possible. In the wake of her destruction, she searches for casualties and stragglers to prey upon, engorging herself at her leisure unless disturbed, in which case another cycle of destruction followed by feeding on what remains.

In her Adjuchas form, Zauberin begins to explore the purposes of assertion of dominance and complete humiliation, though neither of those truly come to fruition like they will in later stages. As an Adjuchas, she begins to conserve some of her stronger techniques out of the beginnings of pride and out of a desire to humiliate her opponents. She actively looks for and begins to find ways to cause more minor types of damage in order to maim or remove body parts as opposed to outright obliteration, though her desire to still use overwhelming force is quite present. At this stage, she also begins to incorporate bodily movements more as she acquires more control over her body mechanics. While physical combat is never a direct component of her combat style, she isn’t specifically a slouch and can use some of her runic elements to great effect in close range.

As a Vasto Lorde, Zauberin’s fighting style begins to affirm her propensity for asserting dominance over and humiliating others, while also exploring the complete eradication and destruction of creatures that she believes are firmly beneath her and not even worth consuming or feeding to her subordinates. As her runic magic and control over her spiritual energy matures, she begins to explore the arts of binding and restricting her opponents in order to dismantle them at their seams rather than outright eradicate them from existence. As she begins to explore the conservation of her own spiritual reserves, she also begins to look for ways to exert her runic magic over the powers of others rather than strictly utilizing it in order to empower her own techniques.

Zauberin may not be a physical specialist, but her ability to utilize her runic magic wordlessly and without hesitation in close quarters also matures as she improves and evolves as a Hollow, allowing for her to take fights at any distance that she chooses provided she is careful about her decisions and creative in the usage of her abilities.

Overall Theme: Rune Magic

Zauberin’s unique Hollow ability lies in the raw alteration of spiritual energy using a combination of her own spiritual energy and magic conducted through the use of specialized ‘runes’. These runes form on her person as she evolves through her Hollow Stages, and confers additional benefits and abilities to her as she grows. With these abilities, she may directly alter the properties of the world around her and she may substantially alter or gain control over spiritual objects near her, increasing their raw properties or the very nature of their being. In theory, there is no limit to the number or intensity of her alterations outside of her own pool of spiritual energy and her imagination. With enough power, she could theoretically unmake creatures who are inferior enough to her in spiritual ability with the appropriate rune and application.

Zauberin may also use runes to augment her own abilities or, with more difficulty, to debilitate her opponents indirectly. By altering the makeup of reality around her or by imprinting runes upon allies or enemies, or by activating runes already present on her body, she can use her reiatsu strength in order to afflict direct changes on opponents. These changes may be either short or long term and may be directly countered by either brute force, which is more difficult, or superior control of reiatsu, which is significantly easier. Additionally, most runes, depending on placement, may be forcibly removed from objects or creatures with violent means or ‘state-of-being’ reversal techniques. It is impossible to completely remove or seal runes from Zauberin’s person as her runes are tied to her soul, though they are physically represented on her body.

Traditionally, Zauberin's Runic Magic can be activated by either Somatic or Verbal Components. If Zauberin chooses to utilize BOTH the Somatic and Verbal component of her Runic Magic, then she receives a bonus based on the Runic Magic in question. Exceptional skill in the art of Runic Magic can remove the need for this. With a 2 in Rune Magic, she may forgo the use of either component at no detriment. With a 3 in Rune Magic, she may benefit from the incantation bonus of the Rune in question by using only the Somatic OR Verbal component of her Runic Magic. With a 4 in Rune Magic, she may benefit from the incantation bonus at will, without using any components.

This is not the absolute extent of Zauberin’s runic magic, which cannot pre-emptively be explored due to the reality-bending nature of her abilities, but this explores the vast majority of her techniques.

For the purpose of rune magic techniques, Reiatsu-based Construct is identified as anything that is created or constructed primarily from Reishi or Reiatsu. This can include anything from Kido, to Cero/Bala, to things that are created by releases (though not the releases themselves) such as projectiles, reiatsu blasts, etc. By intent, these techniques always match the user's RS against the opponent's OS that was used to create/perform the technique.

Technique Description and Effects: This technique is a primary rune and a core component of Zauberin’s abilities. It may be used as the core part of a spell and may be augmented by other types of Rune Magic. This rune allows Zauberin to create a basic, stationary construct out of her own spiritual energy and reiatsu. Zauberin may physically grab and maneuver this orb manually, or alter its properties using other types of runic magic. The most common form for this construct to take is a sphere, but it may take the form of any basic three-dimensional shape. When this energy comes in contact with a competing surface, either physical or spiritual, it exerts both impact and destructive force equivalent to the user’s RS in the direction that it was moving, in a cone of five meters per class, including and behind the point of impact. If this energy is physically thrown by its creator, it is thrown at a speed equivalent to the user’s strength. If this energy (unless its reiatsu is mixed with that of another being via redirection or a similar techniques) makes contact with the user at speed, its speed becomes 0 and it does not detonate, effectively freezing its position in space. Unless altered, this construct lasts for one post.

How to use technique: The user gathers spiritual energy and activates the leylines by either drawing or speaking the associated rune. The rune’s effects then give the user’s spiritual energy form and shape, as well as making it volatile and giving its generally destructive power.

Technique Drawbacks: This technique costs the following reiatsu per class: 25, 25, 50, 50, 100, 200, 300, 400.

Incantation and Effect: If empowered, by both drawing into the air and speaking the runic combination “ᛗᚨᚲᛖ” , Zauberin may add an additional 2% to the effective RS of the spell per rune class. If cast as a Class 1 spell, then this adds the maximum of 16%.

Technique Description and Effects: This technique is a secondary rune and is characterized as altering a core property of spiritual techniques. This rune takes a reiatsu-based construct, either stationary or in motion, and abruptly changes his trajectory either towards or away from Zauberin’s current position, according to which rune is activated. If the projectile has a set speed based on its technique, then the projectile maintains that speed and its trajectory can only be altered by using the aforementioned runes at a class equal or greater to the technique. If the projectile is stationary, then it moves at a speed determined by the rune’s class: (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 800, 1000). If the technique that’s altered consists of multiple projectiles, then all of those projectiles have their trajectory altered based on their current position relative to Zauberin.

How to use technique: The user gathers spiritual energy and activates the leylines by either drawing or speaking the associated rune. The rune itself then takes this spiritual energy and directly alters the state of a construct by forcing it to exist in a state of motion either towards or away from the user.

Incantation and Effect: If empowered, by both drawing into the air and speaking the runic combination “ᛟᚢᛏ” to project outwards, or “ᛇᚾ” to retract inwards, Zauberin may alter the direction of another being’s reiatsu-based construct by forcing it either away or towards Zauberin’s current position, provided that Zauberin’s RS is greater than the related OS of the technique when it was created, after type. In order to alter another character’s technique, this rune must be used at or above the class of the technique being altered.

Technique Description and Effects: This technique is a tertiary rune and is characterized as altering a secondary property of spiritual techniques. This rune takes the speed of any reiatsu-based construct that is already in motion and either increases or decreases it based on the following bracket: (200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 800, 1000). A construct’s speed can be increased or decreased by a maximum number of brackets determined by the class of the ability used to create the construct. Techniques that move at Cero speed are considered to be starting at 500 speed, for the purpose of this technique, and are given a static speed. Techniques that move at Bala speed are considered to be starting at 1000 Speed, for the purpose of this technique.


(E.G. A Class 2 Technique can be moved 2 brackets faster or slower (Class 2-1). A Class 6 Technique can be moved 6 brackets faster or slower (Class 6-1). A Class 4 Tech moving at Cero speed would require a Class 2 Slow Rune to decrease to 200 Speed. A Class 7 Tech moving at Bala speed would not be able to be increased, but may be decreased to 500 speed with a Class 5 rune.)

How to use technique: The user gathers spiritual energy and activates the leylines by either drawing or speaking the associated rune. The rune then takes the spiritual energy gathered and directly alters the velocity of an already-moving construct through magic.

Technique Drawbacks: This technique costs the following reiatsu per class: 25, 25, 50, 50, 100, 200, 400. Techniques that move faster than 1000 speed cannot be hastened, and may only be slowed to 800 speed. Techniques cannot be altered to a speed that is not on the bracket unless the technique is empowered. A construct’s speed can be increased or decreased only by a rune of greater than or equal class. Any construct may be hastened, but in order to slow down a construct created by someone other than the User, the User must have a higher RS than the related OS of the technique when it was created, after type.

Incantation and Effect: If empowered, by both drawing into the air and speaking the runic combination “ᚠᚨᛊᛏ” to increase its speed, or “ᛊᛚᛟᚹ” to decrease its speed, the user may increase the effect of the rune by one bracket. Any technique that would increase the speed of a construct to 1000 speed, does so and also makes it a requirement to have 200 Instinct or 100 ES to recognize the speed increase fast enough to reliably respond. Any technique that would lower the speed of a construct to 200 speed will lower it to 100 speed instead.

Technique Description and Effects: This technique is a secondary rune and is characterized as altering a core property of spiritual techniques. The user takes a reiatsu-based construct and improves upon its permanence, making it easier for it to maintain shape and stability by augmenting the connections keeping it together. A construct’s duration is increased by one post for every class of rune used on the construct, starting at the class of the ability used to make the construct. Any construct that does not have a listed duration, or that has a duration of one post may be increased to a maximum of 3 posts using a minimum of a Class 4 Rune. Any construct whose duration relies on upkeep may be given a maximum of 3 posts of permanence without requiring upkeep using a minimum of a Class 4 Rune. Any construct that weakens over time has its weakening suspended for the duration added by this technique. Any construct that would dissipate over time without upkeep may have its upkeep restarted at the end of the duration added by this technique.

(E.g. A Class 4 Technique with a Duration of 2 posts may be increased to a maximum of 7 posts with a Class 0 Rune. A class 1 technique with no duration may be increased to a duration of 1 post with a Class 1 Rune. A class 2 technique with a two post duration, with upkeep, may be given 2 free posts with a Class 1 Rune.)

How to use technique (How is it activated?): The user gathers spiritual energy and activates the leylines by either drawing or speaking the associated rune. The rune then uses the spiritual energy created in order to stabilize and reinforce the spiritual makeup of the construct in question.

Technique Drawbacks: This technique costs the following reiatsu per class: 25, 25, 50, 50, 100, 150, 200. A construct’s duration can be increased only by a rune of greater than or equal class. Any construct that explodes on impact with a surface or that is detonated would not be extended by this technique after impact or detonation. This technique does NOT increase or modify the durability of a technique in any way, a technique that is broken through clash or another circumstance will be broken normally.

Memorable Figures: Belinda Habsburg - Belinda Habsburg is the mother of Rosemarie and her three siblings and was one of the few remaining cognatic lines to the House of Habsburg remaining in the 18th Century. Belinda was a loving and caring mother who held strict catholic values and expected the same of her children, along with their father. Belinda and Rosemarie were at constant odds with one another especially after her daughter’s decision to leave the family home, unmarried, as one of the few remaining Habsburgs in existence. While Rosemarie believes that it was her mother who sold her out to the Catholic Church, Belinda was actually hanged shortly after Rosemarie’s death as punishment for harboring a known Witch.

Adalrich Habsburg - Adalrich Habsburg is the father of Rosemarie and her three siblings and holds no direct line to the House of Habsburg. Adalrich is a man of little particular talent, a short temper, and violent methods of disciplining his children. Notably, he is liked by none of his four children due to his behaviors in life and is responsible for causing three of the four of them to seek better accommodations elsewhere, with only Leonore, the third child, remaining at home to take care of her ailing father and mother shortly after the Napoleonic Wars.

Adelbrecht Habsburg - Adelbrecht Habsburg is the oldest of Rosemarie and her siblings. Regarded as a strong-willed man with a stout temper, Adelbrecht served as Rosemarie’s protector and mentor for much of her childhood, filling in the gap for his three siblings after their father had failed. Adelbrecht led a relatively successful life in politics as a lesser lawmaker for the Austrian government up until his death in the early 1800s, shortly after the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire. He is known for his small, but significant contributions to the formation of the Confederation of the Rhine, securing Germany’s future after the French Empire.

Elissa Habsburg - Elissa Habsburg is the second of Rosemarie and her siblings. Regarded as a woman of religious devotion and contempt for her family and their false sense of status related to heir birthright, Elissa is known for being the person who led the Catholic Church to Rosemarie and her coven in the late 1700s. She is known for being the first sibling to leave her family’s home and move to Italy, where she took up life as a nun of the Catholic Church. She eventually would sell out her youngest sister after finding out about her involvement in Witchcraft, leading to the hanging of both her and her mother.

Leonore Habsburg - Leonore Habsburg is the third of Rosemarie and her siblings. Regarded as a woman with a kind, yet tired heart and soul, Leonore is the only one of her siblings to frequently return home after leaving and being married to a wealthy Austrian merchant. She eventually would be responsible for taking care of her ailing parents after her father deteriorated in his drunken habits and her mother could no longer maintain the family estate. Leonore was eventually the one responsible for handling the sale of the old family estate after Adelbrecht’s refusal to do so.

Gertrude Habsburg - Gertrude Habsburg is the fourth of Rosemarie and her siblings. Regarded as a knowledgeable and curious young woman, Gertrude served as the least confrontational and most timid of the Habsburg siblings. She would eventually lead a quiet and unassuming life as a Midwife along with her husband. She is the least memorable of the Habsburg siblings to others, but is known amongst her siblings for being extraordinarily generous and requiring their assistance on more than one occasion to stand up for ne’er do wells and bullies that would antagonize her in school. In exchange, she helped her siblings with their homework and was responsible for most of their success indirectly.

Margareta Vinslof and Magdalene Von Schaffen - These two women are two of Rosemarie’s closest confidantes and childhood friends. After Margareta’s involvement with a witch coven and satanic cult was found by Magdalene and Rosemarie, both decided to join Margareta. Shortly after her induction, Rosemarie refused to continue to partake in the Satanic Cult and was forced to return to her siblings for assistance and guidance. This decision would result in her eldest sister finding out about her habits, which led to the hanging of all members of the cult and her mother.

Giovanni Vincenzo Antonio Ganganelli - Also known as Pope Clement XIV, Giovanni was a Cardinal of Italy at the time that he discovered, tried, and was responsible for the execution of Rosemarie and the Witch Coven that she was part of. Based on a hint from Rosemarie’s eldest sister, Giovanni was capable of rooting out a satanic cabal and would later use that influence and prestige to help him garner votes for the papacy.

History: Rosemarie Habsburg is the youngest of Rosemarie and her siblings. Born in Vienna, like many of her cousins, Rosemarie benefitted from being a member of the Cognatic line of the House of Habsburg of Austria, who were significant in their existence up until the HRE’s dissolution in 1806. As the youngest of her siblings and the most rebellious underneath her parents, the majority of Rosemarie’s attention from her parents was either negative or neglectful, with her siblings and friends filling in many of the gaps in her socialization. Rosemarie was a very intelligent young girl who excelled in most areas that even her other noble friends found difficulty in.

During her adolescence, Rosemarie was influenced by two of her closest childhood friends and eventually left home before she could be married off by her parents, cutting ties with her eldest sister at the time and leaving the country of Austria for the country of Switzerland. During her time outside of the country, Rosemarie quickly found herself traveling down the rabbit hole that her friends led her down, joining a Witch Coven and a Satanic Cabal, utilizing her intelligence and her natural affinity for the occult in order to prove herself and excel in her craft over time. Sometime during her young adulthood, she found herself placed in a number of questionable and uncomfortable situations which both drew her blood and stained her hands with the blood of others.

Rosemarie eventually left Switzerland and sought out her siblings, beginning with Gertrude. When Gertrude eventually was unable to assist her in her woes of trying to leave her cult lifestyle behind while expanding on her witchcraft, Rosemarie would travel home to Leonore and her parents. In confiding to Leonore, she accidentally let it slip to both of her parents of her previous involvement. After a very heated exchange with both of her parents, she would leave on the road again, only to eventually be found by Cardinal Giovanni of Italy. Rosemarie accepted a plea deal of giving away her Satanic colleagues in a bid to try and save her own life, but would eventually be tried and hanged as a Witch. Filled with rage and revenge, Rosemarie was unable to peacefully pass onto Soul Society and, following the mass conflict of the Napoleonic Wars, her soul fell through the cracks of Soul Society’s radar, where her chain eroded and she turned into a Hollow.

Starting with your techniques, we've got Existence Alteration I: Creation. Aside from having a bomb-ass naming convention, your Syndra orbs look good. Seeing as we don't have anything implemented yet for Hollow Class 0, I'm going to go ahead and ask for these to be removed. Other than that, costs n' speed are good.

Next up is Velocity Alteration I: Project, Retract; I don't really have many problems here. All I'm gonna ask is for is the removal of Class 0, and the scaling back of the Class 1 variant to 1,000 speed. Given the cost, I'm still a tad hesitant on that, but I'm willing to let your next grader hit it. Additionally, despite being a little niche, I'd like the "RS (or Spiritual OS, if released)" line to just be changed to the appropriate OS of the technique in question. While we don't see a lot of SpPr non-release techniques, they do exist and I'd rather that someone isn't screwed out of them just for having low RS.
