Shio "Mod Soul" Kyrou
All is well within spiritually blessed Karakura Town; the birds are chirping, fluttering their wings, in the absence of conflict they nest within their trees without trepidation. White fluffy clouds soar across the skies. On these very same outskirts of the town one might get a clear overview of the happenings of the mortal world, their everyday lives, as well as a breath of fresh air from it all. From here, in this somewhat neutral turf of plain hill grassland - with a few trees to dot the field just outside the deeper forest beyond - is there suddenly an out of place disturbance.
It takes place gradually, much like the creeping of vines upon the very surface of the air does it take root. This anomaly causes the air surrounding it to vibrate, the ordinarily tranquil pasture of grass within its surroundings shifts, creating faint ripples that sway the grass in a peculiar direction; away from the natural guidance of the rolling wind. It begins to grow in strength, this disturbance, until all the grass within the are surrounding is forced flat. Here does 'it' emerge, like a tear upon reality itself, opening itself up like the maw of some unseen monster.
The fragmented air that seems like teeth gives away to a gateway beyond. Those with exceptional experience to these things spiritual might recognize such a portal as, 'Garganta'. Otherwise known as a portal to Hueco Mundo, the realm of the hollows. What abomination might step through such an unsightly fissue, only to prey upon the innocent, clueless humans of this world - one might question. To trample upon these serene grass fields and lay waste to such a picturesque scene of beauty? Of course, things were not this simple.
For what emerged was not a single figure, but two. One of the first was a medium-build figure, it appeared to be an ordinary man, in all apart from the tusk that clung to their face as though it were an outward malformation of his skull. Dressed in white robes, with black lining around its edges, to catch a glimpse of this man and the traditional japanese sword that clung to his waist, one would, contrary to how it may seem, not feel intimidated at all. In fact, this man carried himself with such a lack of confidence that it was hard not to feel worried for them.
Even if one might recognize him as an 'Arrancar', he would hardly seem like a threat, as he fumbled about, looked around outside of his portal; refusing to step out. It was as though the very grass itself intimidated him. Why might this be? Well-...
"GET OUT OF THE WAY!-" Much larger in volume than the silent, unsure man peering out, does a second voice emerge from the portal. "-Slow oaf! There's no need to stand there looking like a trepid chicken, move it!" As though to reassert herself, the soft but aggressive voice emerging from the entrance or exit barks an order out to the man, and without much more hesitation than just to watch his footing, he steps to one side with haste.
This allows the shadow presence of the second individual to make themselves known... however, small as she may be, one might have to crane their neck a little further down, even at the higher elevation in which the Garganta stood at, just to catch a glimpse. Stood proud and with arms folded appeared to be a doll, one with fox ears and an oscillating azure scarf; an accessory that matched her scowling, azure eyes. It stepped out of the portal without hesitation, landing her boots upon the soil and grass as she let out a mesmerising and largely drawn out sigh. "Ahhh~! This is so much better." The doll, that stood proud, hangs its head. "I really can't handle staying in one place for too long..."
After a few further moments of quiet, allowing herself to take in the scenery, for the fresh wind to comb its way through her messy and short black hair, does her companion speak up to say something. "Well, I'll leave you then..." Does he speak, in a tone that made him sound slow; but easy identifiable as someone who is good-natured. Perhaps much to the surprise of anyone who knew hollows for being violent, this one seemed quite the opposite.
In response, the doll looks up, tilting her head backwards fully without moving an inch of her stern, arm-folded body. "Ah. Yeah, thanks for the lift." In a reassuring tone, contrary to her tone earlier, this time she seems more genuine when she thanks him. "Remember, be back here in a few hours. I won't be long." With a knowing nod, the arrancar takes a step back into his doorway through reality - without much of an interval between does it slam shut, like the hungry jaw of a beast, and Shio is left once again - by herself - within the world of the living.
This is much better, yeah. Nothing here but me, the birds, the wind and the grass... the trees, the dirt. Y'know, when I think about it actually, there's a lot more here than meets the eye. Anyways, enough of that, I came here to enjoy myself; to flex my muscles so to speak. The reishi within Hueco Mundo is dense, but stifling. If I wanted true results, and to properly measure myself, it has to be somewhere like here, within the world of the living, where the reishi is more spread out. I need to learn to control myself better if I want to beat the snot out of that big jerk Arcadus!
What better place to do that than right here, I don't see a person in sight... I should be good to let loose, right? I'm not going to hurt anyone by doing so, right? Yeah... this will be fine, just take a deep breath, Shio, and one... two, three.
All of a sudden, the area around the petite doll explodes with energy; the air, the grass, the tree right beside her completely washed away with an ungodly amount of reiatsu. It is almost like a flood in the scale and speed at which it takes over the area. Dirt is upheaved from the earth, the bark of the tree begins to steadily crack open, as does the area burst outward in shockwaves like concussion blasts. Without actually noticing so herself, several branches from the tree snap and are flung for hundreds of yards in various directions. It is a chaotic confluence of happenings around her.
Of which, the doll seems to take pure delight in. All she was doing was flexing her reiatsu, the volume of it was too much for the reiatsu density of this world. It sparked into her a thrill that she seemed to enjoy perhaps a little too much; one that she herself admits, may become addicted to. Without noticing the massive target that the doll might have painted for herself on her back, does her reiatsu simmer down. It was almost like the spiritual equivilent of a long drawn-out stretch. The doll appears to round both of her arms a couple times, satisfied.
The world of the living, on the other hand, was left devestated. It was too fragile to be subject to such a vast amount of pressure, yet apart from the obvious structural damage, Shio was entirely unaware of the other harm she was doing. Even though she had specifically chosen a non-residential district, there were other, unseen factors upon the world that exerting this much spiritual pressure had. Damages to the reishi that would take much time to heal.
In either case, Shio was blissfully unawares, she even hummed a nice tune for herself. "Right!~ Time to practice my techniques. There's a lot more to work with here, than back there, I wonder what I should start with..." The self-proclaimed hollow does ponder to herself, head tilted whilst looking up into the sky.
